When Heaven Calls
When Heaven Calls is a testimony-driven podcast sharing powerful stories of men and women who walked away from New Age spirituality, occult practices, self-worship, and alternative belief systems—and found their way home to Jesus Christ.
Hosted by Forest Soleil, each episode offers honest, long-form conversations about spiritual deception, identity, repentance, deliverance, and the quiet (and sometimes dramatic) ways God interrupts our lives when heaven calls us back.
This podcast is for:
- former New Age, spiritual-but-not-religious, or deconstructed believers
- seekers who feel disillusioned, restless, or spiritually exhausted
- Christians wanting to better understand New Age beliefs and lovingly reach those caught in them
- anyone sensing that “something is off” and longing for truth, peace, and restoration
You’ll hear stories involving New Age practices, astrology, manifestation, witchcraft, psychedelics, tantra, self-divinity, and alternative spirituality—spoken with humility, discernment, and compassion, not condemnation.
When Heaven Calls exists to testify to the goodness of God, expose spiritual counterfeits, and remind listeners that no one is too far gone, too confused, or too broken to be called home.
New episodes released regularly.

When Heaven Calls
From a National Tragedy to a Holy Homecoming — A Story of Spiritual Detours and Divine Rescue (Micka’s Testimony)
In this first full episode of When Heaven Calls, my friend Micka Cain shares the wild, honest, and deeply personal path that led her from spiritual searching—and a season of New Age influence—back to the solid ground of Jesus Christ.
Micka grew up around ministry and faith, but her story includes real trauma, confusion, and detours that many truth-seekers will recognize. She was at Columbine during the 1999 shooting and shares how that moment marked her life, her nervous system, and her relationship with God—without any graphic detail.
From there, Micka’s journey spans global travel, community living, and up-close exposure to spiritual darkness she didn’t have language for at the time. She shares about:
- A childhood foundation of faith (and the pressure that came with it)
- The Columbine tragedy and the way God preserved her life
- Years of seeking healing through different communities and ideologies
- Encounters that challenged the “all paths lead to the same place” narrative
- The Costa Rica rainbow community & festival scene, psychedelics, and the moment it began to feel spiritually unsafe
- The turning point: baptism, repentance, and falling in love with the Word again
- What changes when you stop striving to “heal yourself” and surrender to God’s design
This episode is for anyone who has explored the New Age, alternative spirituality, occult practices, or personal development—and quietly felt that something was missing. It’s also for those who grew up around Christianity, walked away, and now feel the pull to return… or meet Jesus for the first time in a way that’s unmistakably real.
Gentle note: This episode mentions Columbine and heavy relational seasons, shared with care and without graphic detail.
