After the tumultuous talent show, episode 7 sees the judges regain control of the game and our Queens are flustered when presented with the Rate-A-Queen results. They're then paired together and tasked with creating comedic political ads. Some bottom Queens rise to the occasion while our top Queens falter.
In a fun change of format, episode 8 gave us the Snatch Game of Love Island and viewers were presented with some of the best impressions in half a decade. Brooke Shields steals the show as she makes her runway debut as a Guest Judge. Plus, our hosts prove to be psychic as they ponder the boot order for the second half of the season.

Welcome to My Stories Are On, where we yap about all of our favorite unscripted and scripted stories. I'm your host, Chelsea, and with me today are my talented co-hosts, Jesse Page. Y'all, it's been like two weeks of Fallen Stars. I am so depressed. Even though I'm enjoying the show, we've lost some Titans. How are y'all feeling about the boot order of this show? We just have to get into it because we were about to yap before recording.
SPEAKER_02The last two weeks specifically have been disappointing. It would only be better if like they did well and maybe judges were wrong, but actually seeing like your favorites struggle in a challenge and then end up in the bottom against another one of your favorites really.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's wild when it's just like someone's having one off week and then that's their downfall, which can obviously happen in these competition shows, but still, like it's people that you think were gonna make it to the end.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, like track record truly does not matter. Like we knew during the talent show it didn't matter because Mikey was put in the bottom through like calculus and planning somehow, even though she should have won. But for the judges to really not care about track record at all, it's really blowing my mind. Although it is proving that Jesse, you are powerful. That candle I got you is magic. Laura Wright, you do some crazy work because Jesse, tell everyone what you do whenever your favorite's in the bottom. I know we reference it all the time, but well, like this scene specifically.
SPEAKER_02I feel like we're responsible for anything that's been done to keep Kenya in the competition. Yes. Because like every week we're like, oh no, she's struggling. And so I'll grab my Laura Wright candle that Chelsea bought me, and then we both just like manifest. Okay, so whenever it takes, Kenya will stay this week.
SPEAKER_00We were specifically asking for a double shantee.
SPEAKER_02Like, especially whenever the week before when Mikey ended up in the I was like, that was crazy.
SPEAKER_01That was crazy.
SPEAKER_00Like Mikey sending Sierra home, Miss Stari, it made sense.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00This, as we've all said, Vita, we saw her as the winner. And this has thrown my radar off for the rest of the season. I have no idea who's gonna win because now I'm like, look out, Jane, don't like one bad week, even though you've been high every time, they're just gonna get rid of you. That's how I feel right now. Like, look out, everybody.
SPEAKER_01It's usually so predictable, and this is turning out to not be predictable at all.
SPEAKER_00Which is fun, but also like stressful.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's weird.
SPEAKER_02Post preference felt like um probably the one of the biggest like shakeups to like a front runner going home since cornbread. And for which was again, it was still early in 14. Yes, but that was still a big like it felt like it felt like we were watching a season that was like an alternate universe of what it was supposed to be because she was already such a contender and such a front runner and such a presence in that season, even just in the right two or three episodes that she was in, like, to where it like it truly changed, like, oh well, like now who's gonna be like in the finals.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, like and that was like not even from the judges, that was like because she stood on a table and broke her ankle, or like when Heidi went home on All-Stars because she chose to shifted everything, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Or the bindle of Cram of It All. Yes, our biggest one, like that would have been completely different.
SPEAKER_00That really, like, I have a friend who just watched All-Stars 3 for the first time, and the whole time he's just like giving updates, oh, it's Taylor, it's Stala, and yeah, sitting there quietly being like, How do you tell somebody that the world is about to crack open? And that's how I felt when Vita went home. Yeah. But I will say, episode seven, Drag Queens for Change. In the pairs, the Queens are tasked with creating twisted parodies of political ads. I loved this like mission competition, whatever we're calling it. I'm getting all my reality shows combined. Somebody's gonna be voted out of tribal council soon. But this was so fun. I thought most of the ads were pretty good.
SPEAKER_01They had really fun concepts. Like sometimes it's like really amiss with the writers and coming up with that stuff, but I thought it was really like not cringy to watch.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it was fun. I liked this one. I feel like for the most part across the board, it was pretty strong performances. With like the political ads, it's like usually I feel like they only do them like every four seasons, like during like uh election year. So seeing it this year around the time of midterms, and just in general, it's a fun challenge to bring back.
SPEAKER_00As you say that, I'm flashing back to like past like years of political ads or like the debates and stuff. And I look down at my notes and see the guest judges are Jamal Sims and Leland. Do we think that was on purpose to avoid a Jeff Goldblum situation where he just asks an inappropriate question and Rachel Bloom's just gotta be there to clean up his mess?
SPEAKER_02I even think about that. I feel like there's been like several awkward situations with this challenge in the past. Even like the first one in season four, I think they were trying to figure out what the tone was of like the serious topic of like the election and like the campiness of their show.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because I was like commenting, it felt really weird that it was just Jamal and Leland. But now that I'm thinking deeper about it and bringing her street to it, I'm like, you know what? They were probably trying to avoid people saying wild shit. They were like, these people are drag race press trained, we're ready.
SPEAKER_01That makes a lot of sense when you put it that way.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. But let's just get into our groups because they were pairs and they had to write commercials and act them. They were directed by the Michelle Vassage, who she just looks so good this season. Like, who whoever is doing her styling this year, I am obsessed with her hair. Like, she's never looked better. I cannot wait to grow up to be Michelle Vassage one day. I want to be mean and occasionally wrong.
SPEAKER_02Like back when the directive used to be like, if you want to be like a loved cast, just just disagree with Michelle.
SPEAKER_00I know. Uh, but yes, our groups there was Discord Adams and Nini Coco. They did proposition Kiki. Jane Don't and Kenya Pleaser did Proposition C. Mia's Star and Juicy Love Dion did Proposition Double D. Mikey Meeks and Athena Dion did Proposition 6969. And Vita Vonti's star and Darlene Mitchell did Proposition Faux Real. Like, I thought most of these were really good. Did any of y'all have a favorite? Because I will say, I I thought Jane brought the best out of Kenya with Proposition C. I thought they were very silly together, and I want to see them work together more.
SPEAKER_02I love them as a duo. That was so fun. That was like another challenge I was worried about, Kenya going into it, just like I do every week. But yeah, that was that one was pretty good. And Mikey, I think, really shine.
SPEAKER_01Oh, she was so good.
SPEAKER_02And like it was a perfect follow-up to her week before.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I was gonna say the foreign trade one sticks in my mind because that was really funny.
SPEAKER_00It was so funny, especially with Athena being like, not for real, not for real. Yeah, you know, somebody would take that the wrong way online because Athena has so many haters online. Yeah. I thought they probably were my favorite. And I again, I didn't dislike any of them, but I knew Vita was in trouble whenever she asked Michelle, what is B-roll?
SPEAKER_01Oh, girl, you're on television now.
SPEAKER_00But then also, as like a former film professor trying to explain B-roll to people, whenever I felt like that was the hardest thing to do in my life, is get students to gather B-roll. I was like, oh no, it was too real for me. Jesse, what did you think of Miss Vita and Darlene Mitchell, who seems to shine in these comedy challenges?
SPEAKER_02Darlene does very well. I will is one of those things where like I don't find her as funny as the judges do, but like I still recognize that she's doing well, if that makes sense. Like just because it doesn't like make me laugh out loud, doesn't mean it's not good. And I am biased because I really wanted Vita to do better. But like I can see how like the tone just seemed off, and it wasn't just again, there was a lot of strong performances she was against.
SPEAKER_00There were, and oh boy. Let's just talk about the the duo Mia Star and Juicy Love Dion. There was one brain cell popping between their heads, much like my dogs, Copper and Bosco. They're sharing a brain cell, and watching them try to write something was hilarious. Like, I feel like Juicy really needed Mikey in her corner again.
SPEAKER_02We're watching because it almost seemed like a perfect, I don't know, like parallel. Because we'd just seen them lip sync against each other and both win. So I almost felt like that was the direction the episode was going was they were gonna make us watch them lip sync against each other again for this time to see who stays. So that was like in my head as I could see they were not doing as well. I was like, oh my god, they're gonna go lip sync against each other again.
SPEAKER_00That would be a good storytelling, I will say, if they had to lip sync against each other. And it also wouldn't it probably wouldn't change the results of the last two eliminations, I fear.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I really thought it was gonna go that way too. I was like, oh, this is amazing television, but also so sad if that was gonna happen.
SPEAKER_02It was like the whole shape of the episode, seeing like Mikey like watching those episodes before with the Radio Queen, and then seeing this episode where Mikey's like once again doing very well, but this time the judges are judging her, and then seeing the opposite of like with Mia and GZ possibly this time being in the bottom instead of the top.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and like as I'm going through thinking of who could replace them, it's very much like people who are entertaining the judges that I might not find as funny, like Nini or Discord, but I can tell they're doing well and I can see they're improving. Also, their runways were really good. Like, I was so sad we're gonna hit runway soon because my girl Vita, her runway is probably her worst look of the whole season. Minus so many good words, minus the talent show runways, where I don't think we got any good looks. But let's get to runway. The category is I can see right through her exclamation point. First up, Miss Jane Don't. What do we think of this?
SPEAKER_02I like this. I feel like it could be there's I feel like there's something missing from it.
SPEAKER_00It's like a checked bodysuit with a face kini with a sheer pink dress around it and a red wig that I would say kind of clashes with everything. It's not my favorite of Jane Don't's looks. I prefer whenever she kind of says, fuck it, I just want to look pretty with a category.
SPEAKER_01I think it's cool that she wanted to do a like nod to Lee Bowry, but I don't know why she did it with this particular challenge. Because that part has nothing to do with the see-through element, so that was kind of an odd choice.
SPEAKER_00And the accessory, it just all kind of it's a little off.
SPEAKER_01I do love when a gal has a purse on the runway. I think that's so fun in camp because it's like, why does she need a purse?
SPEAKER_00She needs a purse, she needs earrings, she needs a necklace. Yeah, so I do like her actual walk though, it's really fun, and that's why she always keeps our attention because it's a personality thing.
SPEAKER_02I was gonna say, I need to look at her page because I feel like that could photograph well or what.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Oh, I bet it does. Because also this runway, the lighting is always evil, right? And then Miss Kenya Pleaser kind of coming out in our show colors, looking like a Power Ranger. I kind of love it.
SPEAKER_01It's it's giving me drag you.
SPEAKER_00It is very drag you. Here's the thing. I know it's not a great look, but I enjoy it on her. It feels like something she would make in a design challenge.
SPEAKER_02She's about to perform for Xenon.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Oh my gosh, she's Protozoa's opening act.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Love that. This is cute, and I think it's definitely one of her more complex. Well, she's had a lot of looks that were a little more on the simple side.
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm. We'll get to one later.
SPEAKER_02No, I really like this one for her.
SPEAKER_00I do like her hair as well. And then I would say, Miss Juicy Love Dion. This is a pretty good look for her. I think it's a little too long. The page, what would you call that? The corset portion of it is a little long. It needs to go up a little bit more. But I think the overall concept is cute.
SPEAKER_01It's really interesting, like the fabric she used and the I don't know what you'd call that kind of texture.
SPEAKER_00I know. It kind of looks like a down comforter at a certain point or fluffy. Like, what would you call that?
SPEAKER_01But it's also like the headpiece, it's all different layers that are like doing an interesting movement when she walks.
SPEAKER_02I love all the movement for this lookhouse. It's cool. That's cool.
SPEAKER_00It kind of looks like the paper lanterns when they move around, you know? Yeah. It is cute though. Oh, Mia Star. Another Power Ranger look with like stripper boots. I'm always a sucker. If you look like a Power Ranger, you've got my attention. And I love her hair and the big glasses.
SPEAKER_01I think she's one of those that, like, even if I don't love what she's wearing, she sells it so well. And I'm like, oh yeah, she looks great.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's star quality.
SPEAKER_02The big glasses can just pull it all together.
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_02Like, I don't know why. But like her like starting with that, I'm like, oh, that's good.
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah. Miss Darlene Mitchell coming out as a little X-ray machine. I like the idea for the runway since it's see right through her. It does remind me of Mikey me kind of just wearing the billboard and it's a little too simple.
SPEAKER_02Yes. Right. Like you're might as well just like wear like a picture of a dress on you. Like that's what means like the equipment. I think maybe more could have been done outside of that. Because the basic once you make that, then you just put it on and don't really have to worry about anything. I don't know. It feels like there could have been more, but I like the idea of it. Like just um Yep.
SPEAKER_00Love the idea. And also I feel like, Darlene, you could be a body queen just like from the side angle we're looking at right now. So wear something slutty. I always want people to look slutty though.
SPEAKER_01Be more slutty.
SPEAKER_00Oh, speaking of slutty, we say that, and then Miss Vita Vonties is wearing a corset. I think she looks good, even though it's probably her most simple look she's worn on the runway. Do you think the judges set her up for failure? Like the producers picking this week for this look. Maybe. She looks so good though.
SPEAKER_02I almost wish there was like a gown on the second half of this.
SPEAKER_01Yes. Yeah, it needs more volume. Like I'm kind of surprised the bubbles or whatever that is on the front is not larger.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02It almost like if this was a design challenge of like, oh, she ran out of time and didn't get to finish like the rest of it. Like that's like it feels crazy to do like all like it's a lot going on on this to do all of that and then not like even put like a skirt or anything on it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, like you almost want like a bubble dress accessory all the way around the bottom, just taking up space.
SPEAKER_02Or even just decorate like something on your legs, like even if you don't want to do like a gown.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Have some appliques.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so I'm trying to remember that word she made up.
SPEAKER_01Yep, apple case. Yeah. It was used heavily in one of the past episodes. I didn't know.
SPEAKER_00It was, and I'm like, hey, they learn Paige's made-up words.
SPEAKER_01She must have worked.
SPEAKER_00Your power. And then Miss Athena Dion. It's another one where I like the idea, but I wanted it maybe like a longer, more of a gown and less heavy on top, because it feels so heavy on top.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Like her arms, shoulders area.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02It's very bunched up.
SPEAKER_00It is. And maybe it's just I want gowns, gowns, gowns, whenever it's a see-through thing. Beautiful gowns. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Like less sleeve, more gown.
SPEAKER_00And then for a see-through thing, I like that the coat is lined, but also it's supposed to be see-through.
SPEAKER_01Right. That's a little confusing.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Maybe I just want everyone here to just wear sheer fabric. She looks good. She does. It's not a bad look at all. I just don't know if it's the assignment. Yeah. Also, she's so pretty. Mikey Meeks understood the assignment. She got a clear shower curtain, wrapped it around her, and then just put on her nicest lingerie. She's giving us the sluttiness we want. And the glasses we always want. The and she has her purse full of stuff. Thank you. Is that a gloves in her purse? It's gloves in her purse.
SPEAKER_02Something about this is giving like 2000s video music awards or like TRL appearance.
SPEAKER_00And I love her wig. But as Paige knows, we're a sucker for a blonde with messy roots.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_00I'm loving Mikey more and more every single week. I think she's in my top three, maybe even top two by the time next episode airs.
SPEAKER_01She's so charming. I think she's a little underrated on the show. I think so.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I feel like as much as I want to see her go to the end, I just get the feeling that she's gonna be one of those, like we were talking about this yesterday, the day before, being like the fifth place cut queen.
SPEAKER_00Kind of being like the either the Susie Toot, where it's like somebody who is a fan favorite and is cut and stuff. Even though Susie wasn't our fan favorite, we do understand she was, or like the Lucy Laduca. Who else was a fifth place? Oh, Trinity Knowing Benda La Crème. Yep.
SPEAKER_02All those like cut right which you can that's back when they used to like almost always win like the miscongeniality.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Back then, like there was a fan vote. So I feel like it'll be either her or Nini Coco. I feel like it'll be the fifth place cut right before the finale that makes everybody mad.
SPEAKER_00Although who the freaking knows? Watch it be somebody. I'm again so worried about this boot order because people I thought would be in the finale are dropping like flies. It's so strange. It is. So maybe I should say, Mikey, I don't want you in the top four.
SPEAKER_03Hate her.
SPEAKER_00Yep. Who is this?
SPEAKER_02Is it Discord? We were just silent. I know it took me something for sure. I literally told everybody. Every season there's like three or four of the white queens that I can't tell apart the first half of the season when they're in drag. This year it's Discord, Sierra, and Darlene. Where I'm like, wait, I thought they were eliminated. And they're like, oh, that's the other one.
SPEAKER_01The only reason I can tell Darlene apart a little bit is because she gives me J. Jolie. And I'm like, that's J. Jolie. Oh.
SPEAKER_00That's tall Jolie. Jolie. Oh my gosh. I'll never remember her name. Who is is that Discord?
SPEAKER_02It's already someone she's not walking.
SPEAKER_00Who is that?
SPEAKER_02It's Discord, right? Why don't we remember this?
SPEAKER_00We've already done Darlene.
SPEAKER_02I feel terrible that I don't remember this look at all.
SPEAKER_00Is she walking weirdly though? Yes. So that's how we know it's Discord.
SPEAKER_01Okay, yep. We got it.
SPEAKER_00It is a beautiful look. I don't think it's the sheer assignment, like with the stuff all over her face and whatnot. I think if she gets rid of the face stuff, then it's like perfect look.
SPEAKER_02This poor girl has been safe every week except for one.
SPEAKER_00And she was in the bottom. She's so mad about it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, bottom three. She'd have to lip sync, but she wasn't the bottom. But yeah, otherwise she's just sitting in and talked all day.
SPEAKER_00Uh I will say, compared to a lot of the other looks, I do like Discord's look more than most. I would just remove a few things.
SPEAKER_02It's not we don't get to again, she doesn't get to hear critiques on her looks because she never gets to be on stage.
SPEAKER_00There's eyeballs on her face on the weird feather stuff. Yeah. That is so interesting. I do like her more as a blonde than anything else. Yeah. And then maybe one of my favorite Nini Coco looks now that I'm seeing it again. She is like a candy, like a candy wrapper.
SPEAKER_01I thought that was so cute.
SPEAKER_00Oh, the only thing I would say is baby girl pad, because you can see where it's like not smooth across her chest. But the rest of it is so fun.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, this is really cool. This is I think my favorite look of hers. Again, she's had like a lot of really good looks. This one in particular, I just like I don't know, it feels more of my vibe.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02It feels different for her. Not like crazy different, but obviously different material.
SPEAKER_00Exactly. She's slowly growing on me. I'm trying to understand her. I'm like, it's how Sam Starr. I'm trying to unlock this because I know a lot of people love her. I'm trying to get there.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm. She's showing her personality more, which is helping.
SPEAKER_00And I think that's one thing this season is missing a little because we've gotten so much personality from a handful of queens, like the Vitas or the Kenyas, that there are queens like Jane Don't and Nene, where we've not got so much one-on-one time with them. They've not really opened up during the show. That I feel like there's that barrier for me. I'm like, I want to know more about you. That's how I fall in love with you. Our top queens were Jane Don't, Darlene Mitchell, and then our winner was Mikey Meeks getting her revenge from last week when all those bitches put her in the bottom when she should have won.
SPEAKER_01That was insane. I was so mad.
SPEAKER_00So I wish.
SPEAKER_01This should be her second win.
SPEAKER_00This should be her second win. Like the we're going by our scoreboards. But I'm so glad she got this win. She got the money. She didn't have to split it with anybody or lip sync for it. But who did have to lip sync was Juicy Love Dion and Vita Vonti Star. And oh Mia. You were in the bottom as well, but baby girl, oh your time will come soon. They did have a great song. It was Dua Lipa's Houdini. And I was just heartbroken because the candle did not work. I thought it'd be too soon to send Juicy home. But and we lost our Vita Vonti star. I'm so upset. Jesse, just go off because we were being really dramatic about it in our messages.
SPEAKER_02It's like I was trying to find our message from that night because I remember it was like Vita truly was like my winner pick. That's who I thought was gonna go all. I was like, at least it was gonna be like final two, and I just shouldn't know who the other second person would be. Either way, it was it's crazy the parallels to like the traitors, which is like again airs the night before, so Chelsea and I usually have like two nights back to back where we're watching live and like texting hering. And it's another situation where it's like I don't like my the three people I like are the three people who are up for elimination. And I was like, I don't know who to like want in the bottom two. Looking back, like if Vita was like my winner pick, and Juicy's also somebody that like I see going to the end.
SPEAKER_00Juicy was on the rise, and now it feels like she's on a decline.
SPEAKER_02Like Juicy had such good momentum of like having like struggling at the very beginning and then going up and doing better and becoming a front runner, and now start like this episode and the episode after. It's so sad to see that like diminishing.
SPEAKER_00It's devastating. Paige, oh say your words for Vita because Vita, Vita, Vita.
SPEAKER_01I just agree with all of that because from the like very first episode, I was like, oh, she's going to the end. She's at least gonna be top five. Like every pretty much every runway, except for this one, unfortunately, has been stunning, and she's so talented and lovely, and it was just an off week, and Juicy's a like performer, like she's going to kill it at a lip sync. So it was just like truly a series of unfortunate events for her.
SPEAKER_00And as Jane don't say in the next episode, everybody is scared to lip sync against Juicy. And I'm glad Jane said that because it needs to be said, she is so good at these lip synks. Like, again, these are gonna go in the rotations whenever we're all hanging out and just need to throw something on in the background. But man, I don't know. Once again, I am worried about any queen who was considered a front runner at this point. Because now, Mikey, you're on the upswing. Look out, one bad week. Look out, Nini Coco. You never know. Rue's forgetting everybody. Although Nini does look like Alicia Edwards. So maybe she'll keep her around.
SPEAKER_02I'm looking at the text that we were texting that night. And I'll look it's like it's two front runners, like at this point the season, like it's giving like that season 11 when we see like Evie and Brooklyn as like the two up for like to lip sync and be like, like, what's gonna happen? Like, how can like not they're supposed to be the final two? And you're like, Chelsea trying to manifest a devil, Shantae. I was like, I need a golden chocolate bar, I need a duct tank. I was like, I'm sorry, we need a chippy tea. Where is the necessary riggery to prevent this from happening?
SPEAKER_00Where is the riggery?
SPEAKER_02This is what it's for. This is when it's like, oh, like this is when we like pull like a last-minute twist where we just make up something to stop a like front runner from going that way.
SPEAKER_00This is literally pull the candy muse and be like, Vita, we're not done with you.
SPEAKER_02I was waiting for it.
SPEAKER_01I was waiting for it too. Like this one and the episode we're about to talk about. Like, both of them, I was like, Okay, Rue's gonna step back and like say something.
SPEAKER_02Like, she didn't even make it to Snatch Game.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Like the typical halfway point that separates like the top people from the bottom people at season.
SPEAKER_01Like, that's we know what her snatch game was gonna be. Did she say?
SPEAKER_02I've not seen it.
SPEAKER_01I'd be curious.
SPEAKER_00Yes, because Snatch Game, everybody's prepared, everybody has their characters, and then Rue's like, hey, we're gonna do the Snatch Game of Love Island edition. And so instead of the normal Snatch Game format, they get to do like a little Love Island. And Paige, this is why we needed you here. You are our Love Island correspondent, you understand these lunatics. Tell us more because I've only seen Bachelor in Paradise. You're gonna have to explain Love Island, because as Rue said, there's another 120 episodes after that one.
SPEAKER_01There are so many episodes, and they're truly all just like hot, dumb people having conversations all day in the sun. And I love it so much. And I did like the like because the they choose to pair up with whoever they like the most, and I liked that little bit at the end where they chose each other, all of the guys did. That was funny.
SPEAKER_00But also, like Zane Phillips, you are beautiful, and I need to see more of you all the time.
SPEAKER_01Beautiful, beautiful person.
SPEAKER_00What a babe. Hasn't he been on other? I don't know. I didn't let me see, let me see. I thought he was on another, he was on drag race all-stars, the golden bitchler.
SPEAKER_02That's right. Because I'm just being online post to the same person, by the way. And at first though, they're like being silly. Oh, that is the same person.
SPEAKER_00I knew they had been, but then also, you know me, I blocked out the golden bitchler. Right. But y'all, let's get back into Snatch Game because we have to talk about the Brooke Shields as a guest judge. Again, we were texting, like Brooke Shields needs her demi more moment, wherever she likes gets that role, comes back, gets into the Oscar conversation. I love an actress comeback. Like, we're seeing it with Amy Madigan this year. It is so exciting. Brooke Shields, you look incredible, also. Thank you for talking about like yes, it was in a joking way, but the very inappropriate things that were done to you as a child actress. Looking at you, pretty baby.
SPEAKER_02It was so fun seeing her, and I'm glad she was there for a cast where there's more queens over 30 than there usually are. Which because like even like I would say Brooke Shields was like technically like before our generation.
SPEAKER_00Like technically, but we still knew who she was because of like pop culture and VH1 and MTV, like all those hundred greatest shows, and I love the eighties.
SPEAKER_02I feel like it's especially because like we grew up at a time where you had regular television, so you were like either forced or just more exposed to like older movies and TV shows, like all the time, versus now when people can just specifically select what they want to watch on whenever they want to. So I feel like maybe we should have more exposure to like pop culture like that from like other. I just think about any time that I'm like referencing like a movie or show from like the 80s or 70s or something, and someone who's like in their 20s, like I wasn't born yet. It's like I wasn't either.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you can know about things.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, Juicy Love Dion, you have no excuse. I am Jane, don't yelling at Juicy who these people are. Yeah, like also Juicy not knowing anybody's Snatch Game characters is insane. And then like Can we talk about that?
SPEAKER_02Have you seen like all the online because there were two Snatch Game episodes this past week with um UK versus the world, yes, and our Ring of the US? Yeah, and you would think you would think there'd be more discussion over like the formats that they're experimenting with, with like Love Island and like the the pageant one, but instead the main focus has been on a Snatch game, it's supposed to be celebrity impressions and like people just like making up characters. Like Kate Butch tweeted, she's like, at this at this point, after like 80 Snatch games, I think it's quite camp TBH. Like, I need someone next time to say, I'm just doing my Aunt Margaret. You don't know her, but she's just like this. That's truly how it feels now. Which I don't know. I I go back, I'm not like a curious with things like that. I'm not like stupid, but I get that it's getting to be specifically the other show. Yeah, UK versus the world, they were the options were like it sounds stupid.
SPEAKER_00Like here, let me pull up for Paige. We're fully getting derailed because Paige, this is Paige, I need to send you my world of wonder logins. Yeah, mostly so you can watch UK versus the world season two, because I just recently re-watched it and you have to know about Tia Coffee versus the world, right? Because she does the fugitive doctor cosplay.
SPEAKER_01Like, I know we're gonna get into it, but Athena's character, that was a made-up person, right?
SPEAKER_02I believe so.
SPEAKER_00Greta Feta Onassis.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, when she came out, I was like, okay, what are we doing here?
SPEAKER_00Like, we're making things up at that point, we're just doing anything. Here's the thing though, I loved Greta Feta Onassis. I thought she was hilarious. Okay, first off, Jesse, I did love Kate Butch's Humpty Dumpty, and I did love Mariah's Jack and Harry. Minty Fresh was just unicorn. Sminty was big bad wolf, which was much better than I thought.
SPEAKER_01We're just doing fairy tale characters, is what I'm hearing.
SPEAKER_00Well, I mean, Darlene Mitchell did do Mrs. Claus.
SPEAKER_01That was insane.
SPEAKER_00It was insane, and yet I wanted more. It feels like she was just left out of the edit, Miss Darlene. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I know. I kept forgetting till the end. I was like, wait, why wasn't it like I should have been rooting for her to be in the bottom? I forgot she was even an option.
SPEAKER_00Exactly. Forgot she was there. And then Discord Adams, I love that she was just generic the Pope, but also looked terrifying. Like it was another one of those moments. I'm like, who the fuck is this?
SPEAKER_01Very fun prosthetics.
SPEAKER_02From the other show, Charles, do you want to mention who the only Naomi is?
SPEAKER_00I need to look into your eyes when I say this. So look.
unknownWhat?
SPEAKER_00The German queen was Gerard Hitler, Hitler's gay brother. And what it wasn't as bad as you thought. In this climate.
SPEAKER_01We're doing that. It wasn't as bad as you would think.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it was one of the things that's the crazy part.
SPEAKER_01That's insane. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we've kind of, I think, lost the plot with Snatch Game.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Like I think it was fun when it was like once every few seasons there'd be like some sort of out-of-the-box character. Like again, there's like a gray line where it's like somebody who um like like Gigi's Snatch game where she's like again taking a character that you can do more with than just doing more with something that we maybe don't know about.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Uh making a character out of it versus doing an impression, but then to fully like the making up people who do not exist.
SPEAKER_00And another thing people are having discourse about that maybe I don't know if we want to jump into is people are not just picking female celebrities anymore, which is what Rue traditionally did. Like, remember when it was a whole ordeal when Kennedy like did a male character and now it's thing and now we are getting Truman Capote, the Pope, and David Attenborough. Like the doors she opened.
SPEAKER_02I think she needs to get more acknowledgement for that. Because again, I think that was a good change to me, in my opinion, just to give them more people to work with. Again, as long as they're still able to transform Nini Coco this week, unrecognizable.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And hers. Like, like obviously there's room for some of them to be lazy, but but here's the thing I would say Kennedy as little Richard.
SPEAKER_02Oh, so good.
SPEAKER_00No disrespect to Jinx Monsoon or Bende La Creme. I think that's my favorite snatch game of all time.
SPEAKER_02Well, it's crazy that she also tied that season.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because she tied with Ginger Minge. Although that was probably Ginger's best snatch game. It was Adele. But yes, um, Jesse, let's get back to this um snatch game. We have a bunch of characters. So we've said Athena is Greta Feta Onassis, Darlene is Mrs. Claus, Discord is the Pope, Jane Don't is Truman Capote, Brookshield's former acquaintance, Juicy Love Dion. Let's just talk about how she went through every single character from Sophia Vergara to Becky G and ended up on Jojo Siwa. Kenya Pleaser did Lizzo, Mia Star was Bloody Mary, which in theory is a good idea. There's a lot of material if you're a funny queen.
