What if the downfall of a nation begins with the quiet erosion of conscience? We trace a straight line from inner compromise to outer chaos, mapping how selective law, soft-on-crime policies, and geopolitical flashpoints emerge when truth gets traded for convenience. From unrest on American streets to criminal governance in Venezuela and brutal crackdowns in Iran, we unpack the pattern—and then flip the lens back to you.
Our conversation blends principled analysis with practical action. We clarify the boundary between lawful protest and criminal obstruction, outline a justice approach that pairs civil liberties with consequences, and explore why stabilizing failed regimes requires dismantling criminal networks, reforming institutions, and working with regional partners. Along the way, we weave in faith-forward leadership and the “7Ms” framework—ministry, marriage, mentoring, media, martial art, muscle, and money—so personal integrity and national strength reinforce each other rather than drift apart.
Then we get tactical. Inspired by Jonathan T. Gilliam’s Sheep No More, we walk through awareness as the first layer of protection: reading environments, spotting pre-incident indicators, and overcoming normalcy bias. Strategy sets goals; tactics execute under pressure. Avoidance beats force, de-escalation is strength, and you fall to your level of training. Hear how trauma-aware, community-centered instruction builds calm confidence without macho noise, and why investing your time, treasure, and talent into readiness pays dividends at home, at work, and on the street.
If you value rule of law, human dignity, and a resilient family, this is your roadmap from conviction to competence. Subscribe for more conversations that turn vigilance into habit, share with a friend who needs a nudge toward preparedness, and leave a review to help others find the show.
Framing The Inner-To-Outer Theme
SPEAKER_01Welcome to the Living Inside Out Radio Show with John Peake.
From Personal Decay To Cultural Breakdown
Rule Of Law And Minnesota Protests
Venezuela, Iran, And U.S. Strategy
SPEAKER_00Welcome back to Living Inside Out Radio. I'm your host, John Peake, and we've got a great show for you today. I'm going to talk a lot about a gentleman named Jonathan T. Gilliam. Gilliam was a Navy SEAL, former Navy SEAL, and a former FBI agent, and he's got a great insight into what's going on today in the geopolitical realm. And it really goes all the way back to the individual and what you're doing in your own life. So I think it ties into well into Living Inside Out and our 7Ms, which cover ministry, marriage, mentoring, media, martial art, muscle, and money. And I want to motivate you to live a life that's worthy of the calling, worthy of being an American citizen, worthy of being a father, a husband, starting a business, working towards life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. So let's level up on Living Inside Out today. In episode three, we anchored ourselves in Paul, the Apostle Paul's warning to Timothy that when doctrine, conscience, and character are comprised on the inside, the damage doesn't say stay hidden. Some having rejected a good conscience have suffered shipwreck concerning the faith. This is Timothy 1.9. Paul was clear. And we've talked about that on a personal level. When truth is replaced with feelings, when conviction is replaced with convenience, when discipline is replaced with indulgence, eventually what's broken on the inside shows up in our behavior, our relationships, our decisions. So let's talk about this. Here's the critical question we don't ask enough. What happens when internal contamination doesn't just infect individuals, but institutions, governments, justice systems, entire cultures? Because Scripture doesn't stop at the individual heart. The Bible shows us that nations rise or fall on the same principle as individuals. Truth honored stability, and truth compromise causes decay. So here's the social impact. When conscience erodes, law becomes selective, authority becomes polarized, violence gets justified as expression. What was once clearly wrong becomes explained away. Now there's an economic impact to this. When integrity collapses, corruption replaces stewardship. Dependency replaces productivity. Power concentrates while the people suffer. Economies don't collapse first, character collapses first. And spiritually, God is pushed out of the public square. Truth becomes negotiable. Evil is renamed compassion. And just like Isaiah warned, woe to those who call evil good and good evil. So when we look at the violent unrest in our own country, we see it all over Minnesota right now. When we look at Venezuela's collapse under corrupt leadership, when we see Iran's regime killing unarmed citizens for demanding freedom, we're not just witnessing political failures. We are witnessing internal contamination on a national scale, manifesting externally as chaos, suffering, and oppression. So consider the bigger picture of how that plays into the individual's life, how we live, whether we choose to believe in a higher power or not, whether we choose to support our families as the tr as a true leader of our family. In the biblical sense, we're called to be the high priest of our home, the spiritual leader. And if we're growing spiritually, all things follow from that. There's a saying I heard a pastor once say that it says, if your faith in Christianity doesn't work at home, don't export it. It's just going to contaminate everything else you touch, right? So get free of the contamination by surrendering to the Holy Spirit. Follow the Bible on a daily basis, putting that into your mind first thing in the morning. And I promise you, it'll be a serious foundation for total transformation, really. But it takes a daily surrender. So here's the continued forward with the perspective that Jonathan Gilliam brings. He's the author of a book called Sheep No More. And this is based on his public comments, you know, and relative current events. So I'm speaking to you as if I'm reviewing John's book and uh giving you the insight. And I encourage you to check it out. So we'll talk more about that as well. So here's the topic: rule of law, national security, and restoring order at home and abroad. So we're seeing what we're seeing in Minnesota isn't simply a protest anymore. It's obstruction of law, uh, it's obstruction of law enforcement and reckless violence. Let me say that again. What we're seeing in Minnesota isn't simply a protest anymore. It's obstruction of law enforcement and reckless violence against federal agents. ICE and Homeland Security are executing lawful operations, and while peaceful protest is a protected right in this country, violence against immigration agents crosses the line. Federal law should be enforced with clarity. Unlawful acts, assault, property destruction, obstruction must be met with lawful restraint and consequences that uphold order without escalating conflict. The Department of Justice should do a few things. Protect lawful federal operatives and ensure they can execute their duties without undue interference. Differentiate clearly between lawful protest and criminal obstruction. Pursue accountability for those who attack agents or incite violence while ensuring civil liberties are honored. We must have a justice system that enforces the rule of law, not one that punishes law enforcements for doing their jobs when they act within legal bounds. Now, this view reflects the broader national conversation around protests and federal authority, including recent judicial restrictions on ICE tactics in Minnesota following litigation and protests sparked by the fatal shooting of a civilian by an ICE agent. So protesters and local officials have sharply criticized federal operations, and there's an ongoing legal battle over what tactics are permissible. Now, on Venezuela's leadership, you know, John T. Gilliam says that he spent a lot of time around Central and South America, and the Venezuela situation, in his opinion, is a stark picture of what happens when criminal governance replaces constitutional order. What Maduro's regime did was not ideological in a classical sense, it was a mobster-style governance, enriching a few at the expense of many. Using state power to enrich themselves, violence and instability remain even after recent upheavals. The U.S. approach should not be half-hearted. Removing a dictator is only the beginning. Stabilizing the country requires dismantling entrenched criminal networks tied to the regime, and supporting genuine civil society and democratic institutions, ensuring that Reconstruction isn't a cover for renewed corruption, and engaging regional allies to create sustainable governance. Venezuela has strategic significance both in resources and geopolitics, and it shouldn't be treated as a playground for outside influence by hostile powers. Effective change means pairing security operations with long-term investment in institutions, law enforcement reform, and economic rebuilding. So these are all public comments by Gillin, and they indicate his strong views on Venezuela's turmoil, including the criticism of the criminal nature and the regime and the ongoing dangers there, noting international influence from actors like China and Russia. So this has big implications on our national economy as well, because of the oil that's tied to Venezuela and the oil tied to Iran. It's not just about the oil, though, it's also about the freedom of the population. It's also about the influence they have on the international scale. Venezuela is a bunch of thugs that are narcocriminals and they're flooding our country with fentanyl and all kinds of other drugs. Iran, on the other hand, has been the tactical provider of all the weapons for Hezbollah in Lebanon to the north of Israel. Much of ISIS in Syria, in Yemen, to the Houthis, which you know, Hezbollah and the Houthis and ISIS are all considered criminal organizations, terrorist organizations. They've also cut off oil in the Strait of Harmus, and we've had all kinds of problems in that region. So if we get have an influence, we do have the ability to influence what's going on in Iran and in Venezuela, this will free up this complete change in the geopolitical structure globally. Now I'm not going to get into Greenland today, but that's definitely on the horizon. So on Iran's regime and killing it of unarmed protesters, Gilliam talks about Iran's regime has repeatedly crushed dissent with lethal force. When unarmed citizens take to the street to demand basic rights, just freedom, dignity, they're all met with bullets and brutality. We're witnessing the antithesis of what free nations stand for. Imagine that happening here, and I've often heard one of the reasons it doesn't happen here is because so many Americans own guns. We're given that right in the Constitution. Somebody comes here to invade our country, they're fighting millions and millions, some 320 million Americans with many more guns than just 320 million. The U.S. can't simply issue statements condemning Tehran, for example. We need a comprehensive strategy that supports nonviolent movement for freedom, holds Iran's security forces accountable through sanctions targeted at leaders responsible for repression, and it also counters Tehran's influence across the region that funds proxy networks and enables authoritarianism. The world must make clear regimes that murder their own people for demanding freedom will face sustainable pressure, not diplomatic cover. The U.S. should be on the side of the oppressed, consistent with our values, not ambivalent. So you if you've tapped into some of the alternative media, not our legacy media so much, but certainly there's a lot of international cover that shows ongoing protests in Iran, and it's met with harsh crackdowns, with reports of a large number of unarmed demonstrators killed over the past just 14 days, but certainly over the past decade, they've killed tens of thousands. Condemnations and comparisons in U.S. political commentary have highlighted tensions between civil liberties and government response, both domestically and in places like Iran. So there's a powerful perspective there from Jonathan T. Gilliam. From domestic rule of law to Venezuela to human rights in Iran, clearly these global and national challenges demand leadership rooted in principle and strategy. We need the same kind of strong leadership at every level in America. We need it, and we're most compromised, I think, right now, in this the large cities. And almost every large city is bent and leaning liberal, and they're not hard on crime, they're soft on crime. Many of them have no bail when they're arrested. They get right back out within hours. The judges and district attorneys are letting criminals off, many times with no charges at all, not to mention illegal immigrants not being held accountable and wreaking habit on our country. So consider as you're leading your life that you prepare yourself spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically for any of the things that you hear me speaking about happening in our country. What would you do if we had some serious civil unrest? So much so that you don't feel safe going to the grocery store. You don't feel safe driving down your neighborhood, you've got protesters all over the place, you've got uh criminals that are roaming the streets. What would you do about it? What could you do about it? Are you prepared? First of all, do you have the wisdom and discernment to do something about it? Do you have the understanding intelligence? Do you have the resources in terms of relationships to be strong and make a plan and execute some type of resistance to this type of taking over of our country? Obviously, you need skills as well, physical skills for hand-to-hand combat if necessary, and firearms as well. Now that doesn't mean you're going to use them, but what if you needed them and didn't have them? Certainly better to have them and not need them than to need them and not have them. There's also a great benefit for having these kind of skills just internally. How you feel about your identity as a man, how you feel about your ability to take care of your family, your physical health, your understanding and your intelligence around that, and being balanced and fair not only to yourself and your family, but your coworkers and by extension the citizens of our country. Don't neglect training in the 7M's. Have the financial resources, build your body, build your mind, build your understanding of how to take care of yourself so that you won't be a victim. That you have a choice. Now stay with us. We'll be right back. So we're going to talk about uh how should a nation respond when lawless replaces order. So this is Living Inside Out Radio. I'm your host, Sean Peake. We've got a great show coming up for you. Don't go away.

Introducing Sheep No More
Awareness Over Force: Key Lessons
SPEAKER_00Welcome back to Living Inside Out Radio. This next segment, I want to really cover how should a nation respond when lawlessness replaces order, when leadership becomes predatory, when regimes turn on their own people, and what does strength with more clarity actually look like, not just emotionally, but strategically. So let me introduce you to former FBI agent and former Navy SEAL and Arthur Jonathan T. Gilliam, as we examine what happens when internal corruption is allowed to metastasize and what decisive leadership must do to stop it. Now John's not with us right now, but we've got his book and we can learn a lot from it. His book, Sheep No More, fits perfectly with our Living Inside Out because it addresses internal awareness, external preparedness, both spiritually and practically. So in this next segment, I want to educate the listeners and honor Jonathan T. Gillian's credibility and c and clearly promote the book without sounding, you know, like I'm a commercial. Because this is important stuff. And John Jonathan Gillian has done some very important work. So Sheep No More, The Art of Awareness and Attack Survival. As we continue today's show, I want to shift from global threats and national leadership to something far more personal. Because no matter what happens in Washington, Venezuela, or Iran, the most important question remains are you prepared? Prepared spiritually, prepared mentally, prepared situationally. So that's exactly what former FBI agent and former Navy SEAL and Arthur John T. Gilliam addresses in his book, Sheep No More. Let me say this clearly. It's a clarity-based book. Sheep No More isn't about paranoia, it's about awareness. Jonathan's central message is simple but sobering. Most people aren't unprepared because they're weak. They're unprepared because they're unaware. His book explains that evil doesn't usually announce itself. Threats exploit distraction. Attacks happen when awareness is lowest. In other words, danger doesn't win because it's stronger, it wins because people aren't paying attention. So what does sheep mean? Gillian uses the word sheep carefully. A sheep is not stupid. A sheep is distractive, passive, conditioned to outsource responsibility, and dependent on others for safety. And sheep no more is a call to wake up. Not into fear, but into responsibility. One of the most important lessons in the book is that awareness prevents more danger than force ever will. Gilliam emphasizes situational awareness, reading environments, understanding human behavior, recognizing pre-incident indicators. And this aligns perfectly with what we teach at Living Inside Out and Defend Fit. You don't rise to the occasion, but you fall to the level of your training and preparedness. Here's a parallel for Living Inside Out, the spiritual tie-in. Here's where this book aligns you know powerfully with the scripture. The Bible constantly warns about watchfulness. 1 Peter 5.8. Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion. Watch and pray. Matthew 26, 41. Spiritually, awareness keeps us from deception. Physically, awareness keeps us from danger. In both realms, ignorance is not innocence, it's vulnerability. Without giving spoilers, sheep no more walks readers through how attackers select targets, why crowds create danger, how normalcy bias blinds people, the psychology of violence, practical awareness techniques for daily life, how to protect yourself and your family without living in fear. This book gives you eyes to see, not fist to fight. It's really about mental discipline, not macho posturing. Another thing I respect about this book, it doesn't glorify violence. Gilliam makes it clear avoidance is victory, awareness is power, de-escalation is strength. That's real masculinity, that's real leadership. So why does this book matter? Well, in a world where protests turn violent, law enforcement is stretched thin, international instability is growing, and evil increasingly targets the innocent. This isn't the time to be asleep. Sheep no more equips everyday people moms, dads, students, seniors, to think clearly, to move wisely, and live responsibly. If you care about your family, if you care about situational awareness, if you want to live alert, not anxious, I strongly remember recommend Sheep No More by Jonathan T. Gilles. It's available online wherever books are sold, as the saying goes. And it's one of those reads that stay with you long after the last page. Living inside out means strengthening what's internal so that when pressure comes externally, you're ready. Awareness is stewardship. Preparedness is responsibility, and clarity is kindness to those you love. I'd like to bring all three of these things together: the segments the personal integrity, the national leadership, and individual preparedness because strong nations are built by strong, aware individuals. Here's some direct quotes I want to give you from uh Sheep No More, The Art of Awareness and Attack Survival by Jonathan T. Gilliam. And you can use this in your own life around awareness and strategy. Awareness is the key to avoiding an attack. He says strategy defines or outlines desired goals and why you should go about achieving them. Tactics are the specific actions you take in implementing your strategy. Now we we talk a lot about this all three of those awareness, strategy, and tactics inside the FENFIT Crov Hagen class, as well as my firearm, which is called Armed and Ready Civilian Defense. So getting the knowledge happens weekly during uh uh my my various classes, uh but it's specifically on Monday and Wednesday, 6 o'clock Krov and 7.15 firearm, and we blend those two as well. And so we talk about the awareness, the strategy, and the tactics in ways that are you can start getting some repetition on playing those roles and defining what those things mean in your actions and practical application. Here's something Jonathan says. Understanding threats. He says understanding what the attacker's mindset entails will broaden your own knowledge and understanding of where you could be victimized. The way you perceive your critical areas determines whether you're looking at your surroundings as an attacker or a defender. Most targets have set times for when they are most vulnerable around mindset and preparedness. No one will ever protect you better than you. Fear is an emotion that's sole purpose is to make you fight or flee in times of great stress and danger. If you enter into a bad situation thinking like a winner, chances are you will be a winner when it's all over. Now, around applying this awareness. Awareness is the true gift that you can give yourself, and it's a gift you can share with others by exponentially increasing safety and literally saving lives. Imagine if anyone in a city understood why, where, when, and how an attack would happen. You don't need fancy charts, you don't need FBI special agents or Navy SEALs to tell you what you already know. Jonathan says the group think that I see right now is rampant and out of control. He says, I'm not paranoid at all. If something occurs, I'm good to go. Now that's how we want to be. That's the confidence we want to have. And it takes some work to do that, but it just takes incremental commitment on a weekly basis. One time a week, two times a week, you spend an hour, maybe two, so that's two to four hours a week bringing these things up, these skill sets that I'm talking about at DefendFit, come see us. And you can truly change how you think and your mindset. You can sprinkle these throughout your life, and they apply in a lot of different ways, and it's going to strengthen every aspect. So don't be a sheep, be a prepared citizen of the United States, willing and ready and able to protect yourself and your family. On a personal responsibility note, Jonathan talks about this. He says plainly, no one will ever protect you better than you. On the mindset, he says, if you enter a bad situation thinking like a winner, chances are you will be a winner when it's over. There's more psychological preparedness than physical skill. Now, in a collective strategy around safety, Jonathan says, Imagine if anyone understand why, where, when, and how an attack would happen. And he challenges. That's awareness turned into community defense. He closes out and says this, and he's not promoting paranoia. He says, I'm not paranoid at all. If something occurs, I'm good to go. That's confidence through preparation. Now, why am I repeating these quotes? Because they apply and connect directly to our living inside-out themes. Internal awareness brings external resilience, responsibility over helplessness, preparedness over fear, and clarity over groupthink. They also help normalize the hard lessons as practical truths about human behavior and safety, not just an alarmist warnings. So it's up to you to make those hard decisions and figure out your schedule and commit to your budget. And those things I call my time, treasure, and talent. Support your time, treasure, and talent by investing those things in things that give you a return. Get out in front of the TV, turn the computer off, put the stupid phone down. I shouldn't call it stupid, you know. It's not a good word necessarily, but there's a difference between stupid, dumb, and ignorant. You know? Stupid is one of those things you should have known better. Dumb is you just don't know and you can't learn. Ignorant is you haven't learned yet. But you know, you have power to take control of your life. And the Living Inside Out Way is all about doing the small things daily, weekly, monthly, so that when you look at back at the year and you're thinking about, okay, I want to it's New Year's. Let's create a resolution. Let's do this thing going forward that most people drop within the first week, they're not even doing it anymore. Gyms are full of it. They get a lot of memberships in the first three weeks, and then those people typically disappear by the second month. Statistics show it that it's really much faster than that as well. So DefendFit's not going to lock you into a con long-term contract, any contract. It's monthly, right? So you don't have to commit long term. Come in to a free trial class, check out my crov, check out the firearms. Uh it's all uh the firearm is what we call dry fire training on a weekly basis, Monday and Wednesday night at 7.15. Um, we take the gun apart, we clear it, take the gun apart, put a barrel plug in. Now you're safe to train with the holster gun, an extra mag, and now you're gonna go through all the things it takes to be uh a gun fighter for self-defense and when not to do things as well. That's almost more important than doing is being aware of what I should do, how and when. So you're trying, we're teaching basically how to do the right thing at the right time in the right way. And so there's a lot of moving parts to that, but it's not it's not out of your reach. Mostly the barrier is about what limitations you place on yourself. So, you know, open up your mind, come in to see us at DefendFit. We're located at 17317 El Camino Real in Clear Lake, just right around the corner from the Johnson Space Center. And we're gonna support you in every way possible. I also do a lot of counseling one-on-one in small group. Uh we're we're supporting Club America right now. I have real estate companies that we come that come in and training groups. We do uh all-women training, we do pepper spray, uh, we do improvised weapons, we teach you how to position yourself, how to manage distance, how to engage when you have to against empty hand threats, stick, knife, and gun. Uh we teach you how to use a firearm, we do live fire shooting uh on the weekend on Saturday. So you have a lot of uh opportunities to level up. And this is really special forces level material. Now, if you'd rather do something uh or maybe add it to your schedule, like uh things that are MMA related, mixed martial art related, we have American boxing, multi kickboxing, uh, we have Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, those are the big three. And then blending that with Krov and maybe our combat fitness, which is all athletic performance, maybe our modern Arnese class, which does uh MDN stick and knife. These are really good things that stimulate your brain and give you skills, make you think quickly, let you see what's possible and how to solve problems. So thank you for being with us on this segment of the show. We got another great interview coming up with Daniel Cisneros, and we'll be right back.

SPEAKER_00Welcome back to Living In Sut Out Radio. I'm your host, John Peake. I've got my good friend and pastor David Cisneros here. Uh, we're going to talk about the theme of today's show, which is internal contamination results in the manifestation of external things. So, suffering of all sorts, broken relationship, broken homes, broken marriages, health problems, job issues. So, earlier in the show, we talked about Jonathan T. Gilliam's book, Sheep No More. So, we'll talk a little bit more about that, but I want to tie this in because I want to shift from the global threats and the national leadership we see happening to something far more personal. So, because no matter what happens in Washington, Venezuela, or Iran, the most important question remains: are you prepared? Prepared mentally, prepared spiritually, prepared situationally. You can even say physically, of course. And so that's exactly what former FBI and former Namby SEAL author Jonathan T. Gilliam addresses in his book, Sheep No More. And so it's not a, like I said earlier, this isn't a fear-based book, it's a clarity-based book. But when we since we have David here, I want to talk about some of those things that he's experienced as he's traveled around the world. Uh he grew up in Chicago. So, David, tell us a little bit about your recent trip to Chicago after having been grown up there, uh, what was your experience walking around everyday life, going and see the sights of the big city of Chicago with your family?
Training, Strategy, And Mindset
SPEAKER_04Yeah, so thanks for having me. It's a privilege to be here. And uh yeah, so I grew up in Chicago, the west side, Wabansia Street, right? Long, well-known avenue in in this in in Chicago. And uh when I was lived there till I was 12, at 12 years old, we came to Houston, Texas. God called us to come past her over here. But as of recent, I went I've gone twice to Chicago, and definitely, definitely, it's a complete different deal. Or I in my mind, you know, because at 12 years old, what do you know, right? But going back now, I'm 45 now, going back now, it's I did notice a lot of tension in the atmosphere, if I could say um what I refer to is social tension, political tension. Uh, I'm a strong uh advocate for the country and the nation of Israel. Um, there's no secret to that. Um I wear the star of David on a daily basis. It was a gift from some really, really cool friends in Israel. But um my wife being in Chicago, we did witness a lot of uh young groups of crowds of plenty of uh young high-tension groups of kids, if I could say they weren't really kids, man, but they they seemed that way. Maybe some college kids uh with the Palestinian flag wrapped around. And I think that's it's why it was wise for me, not because I'm not in nowhere near ashamed to represent Israel, though I'm not Israeli, but I have to think of the safety of not only my wife but my three girls, you know, and and my girls are in elementary. It's quite different being here in Texas. The odds are a little different. My training kicks in if something ever went down, though I don't want that to happen. But the the tension in Chicago is definitely different. There's a lot more tension, uh a lot of negative energy, if I could say. And it's just due to the you know, what happens at the head of the political realm, you know, the head of the house, man, they could they get corrupted or or or contaminated. What's gonna happen to the rest of the judicial body, right? What's gonna happen to the state? The heads of state are corrupt. What do you think is gonna happen? Nothing has to be. Because that's the blueprint, you know, that's a biblical blueprint that we have that God gave us in the word. You know, he he told Adam and Eve, you shall leave your father and your mother and become one flesh, right? He didn't say you're gonna go and and and still be with your mother and father. He didn't say that. He said, You become one flesh. In other words, the roles are very important. Now, I want to be break it really make it really clear. It's not the Bible never indicates that Adam, the value of the man in Adam is higher than the woman, not at all. That's not the case at all. What it is emphasizing is the roles. So God plus is the head of the house, which is represented by the man, but the roles are exactly the same, the value is the same. It's not that the man's higher or lords over his wife. Now we're getting into chauvinism and Machuism, right? That's not the Bible talks about. But I'm not, I don't want to get off track. So, you know, the tension uh I love Chicago, man. I love the city. I love my Chicago Bears, my Cubs. I'm sorry for White Sox fans, I'm not a White Sox fan. If anybody's listening, but Chicago's my city, man. But it does pain me that, you know, despite being a great city of great history, there's also the fact that the heads of state, the people in charge and and in politics are unfortunately people who have other intentions and are corrupted, if if I could be so bold in saying so.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I think we see the fruit of their lack of leadership uh that's corrupted in the media covers for them. There's a lot of internal contamination that allows people to believe these lies that the media puts out, and the corruption uh starts having a broad impact on the population that's they buy into all these kinds of protests, and then what we don't realize there's a bigger professional protesters out there that are being paid, in some cases, large amounts of money to participate and stir up people.
SPEAKER_04Agitators.
SPEAKER_00Talk about internal contamination, you know. This is where we're seeing it uh not only at the highest levels of contamination, but the greatest risk to our country and to the stability of even down to the family level, right? Because we see people participating and we have seen people lose lose their lives, and that affects children. We had a mother lose her life that's participating in Minneapolis, and so she's got kids, you know, and so wow, to put ourselves at risk there for the contamination is where we should look first, not the manifestations. We see that, but what's at the root? And the the root is a spiritual route of internal contamination.
SPEAKER_04I would add, too, that I went to Chicago as of recent, but also we went to Chicago in 2023. I think it was November of 2023. And over there, we're moving in Uber Lyft ride to get around. I remember vividly a conversation with my Uber, one of my uh a particular Uber driver in particular. Uh, she was really kind person. She was asking us where we were from, what we were about, what we did, you know, making conversation. I was reluctant to the idea of I don't know how we got into the conversation. I'm trying to trying to remember, but we touched up a little bit on self-defense and the issue because of the fact that we're from Texas. And everybody knows you're in Texas, man. One out of every three people carry a gun, right? So thank you, Jesus, for that. Yeah, man.
SPEAKER_00Um, so how am I gonna stop somebody if they want to impose their will? Precisely can either talk me into complying or they can force me. But if you have a firearm, you can stop that force.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, man. That whole thing about compliance, man, just comply, I don't think so. As that doesn't roll for me and my family. I'm not, I I can't I love my family too much to play the odds, right? I want everything in my favor to be able to defend myself, right? And that's my God-given right. Uh but anyway, so we're speaking to the Zuberdriver, and the moment that we mentioned about self-defense and firearms and stuff like that, right away she re she retreated to the idea of I don't care what's happening, guns are evil, and I would never use a gun on anybody. And that stuck with me. And it shouldn't surprise me because that's that's the ambience in Chicago, and not just Chicago, right? But that's the mentality over there a lot. Right.
SPEAKER_00Inner cities, inner cities are notorious, man.
SPEAKER_04Affluent inner cities, right? Notorious, man, for being very hippie, like very hippie thinking, choose love and not warrior. I don't choose to go to war, man. I don't want to shoot anybody, but I have three girls, I have a wife, and I'm not gonna bury them, right? We're not so we're not called to bury our children. I'm gonna do whatever it takes. If daddy has to give his life for that, okay, so be it. But that's not gonna go down how you think it is. And it stuck with me, and I remember thinking, you know, what a poor mentality, and it I would say, dare to say, idiocracy. But what I see more is a veil, a veil over a lot of these people, right? It's a spiritual veil, a blindedness to the idea. It's in the Bible, you know, it's all over the Bible. Every time a certain king of a region went into some type of rebellion, especially with the God of the Bible, nothing good ever came over whatever reign he was reigning over. Nothing ever came. Nothing good ever came.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you know, it reminds me of this King Hezekiah has his son come in uh at 12, 12 years old, like a sixth grader, become king for 55 years. Maniah. Uh, and you know, he was one of the most evil kings in the whole world ever to rule human life.
SPEAKER_04Having been that, you know, related to Hezekiah, King Hezekiah, but man, yeah, man.
Ad Break: Defend Fit Offer
SPEAKER_00I mean, some of the things that we talk about, the the word talks about in uh the the evil kings let in a lot of occultish behavior. Um, they followed trends, they followed the group of people that were corrupt that it involved sex and drugs and crime, and you know, we see that manifesting all over the world. And so you go back to the root again, even for this young Uber driver, there's a an internal contamination that they've been poisoned with from the education system many times, from social media, from their friends, depending on, you know, we are all influenced by the people that we're around. And so here's an old country saying about that birds of a feather flock together. You know, like-minded people are drawn to each other, and oftentimes, well, certainly in these current times, it's become so polarized you can hardly have an opposite viewpoint and again get along with some people that want to totally alienate you or hate you or hurt you, even nowadays. We see that where it's manifesting outwardly in protests for ICE, for example, you know, or against uh you know, us taking over uh and stopping the narco trafficking in Venezuela. And now there's almost a silence around Iran. Nobody's the woke media is not talking about Iran, the protesters aren't talking about Iran. And here's where you have true genocide, where the numbers are coming into the tens of thousands of people killed by the current regime with Khomeini. So it goes back to are we being prepared mentally, spiritually, and situationally uh to stop these kind of things? So it starts with the battle of the mind. Yep. Right? So that's where it starts. Jonathan's book, man, is really good about that. His book really addresses these things about you know, not being distracted, don't be passive, don't allow yourself to be conditioned to outsource responsibility. Don't depend on others for safety, even though we do have that and we have laws. But when it's right in your face, you can't necessarily call the police. When your life is in danger in seconds, they're minutes away. So you have to have some method to protect yourself. Absolutely. Well, that's what we do at DefendFit. Yep. That's what we do at church. Right? That's what we do in the gym when we're strengthening our bodies. At church, strengthen our spiritual life, and certainly DefendFit strengthen you know our spirit, mind, and body. We can touch on all those a little bit. Certainly, we love to pray before we start training, but the training is what it's all about, and we don't shove that down people's throats, the spiritual side. But you're protected, right? And in one hand, when you come to DefendFit, you're not going to be taken advantage of on the money side, because this is our testimony and our ministry. You're going to be kept safe on the mat. And speak to a little bit of did we exceed your expectations on the training environment, or were we just falling short or just barely meeting your minimum?
National Response To Lawlessness
SPEAKER_04Yeah. So initially when I came, I I had no, I've never had any type of background in martial arts. I came to you guys with a little bit of boxing under my butt, but nowhere near to what I know now, thanks to you guys. Thanks to Coach Tyrone and to yourself. But what was beyond the expect what exceeded the expectation was the idea that there is a community feeling in this place. You know, people care about each other. It's I personally have never met any alpha males who are just here to beat people up and call it training. Right? Honestly, I thought I was gonna run into that. I just I had no idea what I was gonna run into. Number two is the expectations were exceeded when we were led or we've been led through the training, and there hasn't been anything seriously no injury no serious injuries, for one. Right? And I'm not saying that we don't get hurt. We could get her riding her bike. You know, we could get her getting out of bed. Right? And for the amount of hours that I've been here and and and have trained with you, it's like wow, you know, the the culture is really to advance the trainee to really learn without taking the risk of breaking or fracturing a bone or or busting a kneecap or I'm and I'm not saying that people have never been hurt, but I have yet to see anything seriously where like, oh my god, call the ambulance.
SPEAKER_00What about the aspect of not hurting people in the in their mental emotional states? Because I see that a lot of different places.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, so I think you know, being a a school to teach people of self-defense, as a pastor, I've seen a lot of a lot of people come and that the people that come are broken, and that's why they're here because something happened, some kind of trauma happened.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_04But what I admire about this place is that that has never been nobody's mentally has ever been put in the spot or put in a situation where what I'm I guess what I really get to the point, what I'm trying to say is it's really fragile and the way that it's um uh handled has been really, really professional, but yet understanding and being sensitive in that area to people who don't respond as a drill sergeant. I thought it was gonna be like that.
SPEAKER_00Oh, gotcha. You know what I mean? Yeah, military. No, man.
SPEAKER_04But uh and the people that have come that are sensitive to that, they're met at where they are. There you go. That's what I'm trying to say. Yeah, that exceeded my expectation big time. Well, that's why I'm here, man. I mean, and I'm not gonna leave until I'm getting I'm kicked out, right? I hope that doesn't happen, but that's that's what I think a that that's what draws a lot of people to defend fit.
SPEAKER_00Awesome, man. Well, thank you for that testimony. I really appreciate that. There's a lot of good things that have happened here, and we're gonna continue doing good things here as we reach out through Patriot Talk Radio. Uh, it really is about faith, family, and freedom, and we're gonna support that as much as possible. We have some great events coming up in uh February for shooting uh events and dry fire all every day, every week. You know, we're doing that during the week on site, and then we're gonna do shooting events off-site. We're gonna have a lot of opportunities and seminars for you to come to uh try uh and just level up in your understanding of awareness. And that ties in. I encourage you to read uh John T. Gilliam's book, Sheep No More: The Art of Awareness and Attack Survival. Uh, we tie right into that with DeFedFit, and we want to continue to make a difference in the lives of the community. So support us by coming and investigating, come train with us, and we're gonna give you opportunities to continue to grow yourself. So thank you for joining us today. Thank you, David, for being here.
