Today is supposed to be cloudy with a high near 33 light northeast winds. Here's your Jack Sports recap for the morning last night, the Lady Jack's eight B, [00:01:00] eight A, seven B, and seven A team all had lost C against Columbia Middle School here in town from Moses Lake, the co-ed Unified Jacks basketball team.
I could not find the scores on this morning. I don't know what happened with that game and I apologize, but they weren't posted today. If you need a raise in to celebrate today is National Celebration of Life Day with a focus on appreciating the children in our lives, the value they bring to this world just by being alive.
If you're looking for something a little more fun to celebrate, it's national polka.day so you know exactly what you need to wear to work today. Quincy. As you're digging through your closest morning, getting ready for your day, it's national polka.day, so let's break it out and make Quincy a little more in painting this morning and for that.
Mm-hmm. Good part of life. It's also National Blonde Brownie day. I know what I'm getting my kids to do [00:02:00] today. Today around Quincy, the city of Quincy's rec department is hosting player sized. For our preschool parents player size program is now happening each Thursday from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM and it's free for all preschool age children rec department building near downtown as a preschool parent if you need to take your kids somewhere where you can let them run, play, and have fun in this cold weather and connect with other preschool parents.
This is the ticket. This is a free program and you get to let your kids run and play and burn off some of that energy while you have the opportunity to meet other preschool parents and make friends for years to come. Family Game Night is also tonight at Quincy Activity Center. Come play some of the mini games they have there.
Bring your own games and make some new friends from six 30 to 8:30 PM. The Quincy Senior Center has an [00:03:00] exercise class today at 1:00 PM They're also playing Mexican train at 6:30 PM at dinner. The Quincy Public Library is having a retirement fundamentals, estate planning wheels and trust workshop today at 3:00 PM Please go to libraries with.

They were cleaned out. They were not expecting that big of a response.
And Quincy, I'd love to hear all about it if you had that experience yesterday. I didn't get a chance to get there. I'm kind of bummed. I was looking forward to grabbing a roll for myself, but I'm going today. I'd love to hear what you think about it, Quincy, but by all accounts it went pretty well because.
They were happily surprised at how quickly they sold out yesterday, and they're looking forward today with [00:04:00] a promise to increase their daily allotment based on yesterday's demand for sushi. Good job, Akens, and thanks for partnering with ACE and bringing this to our community. Now I know your morning's not complete without our daily bad joke.

In upcoming events, Quincy Valley Wrestling is holding an in-person registration for their wrestling program for kids from great K through eight on Friday, January 23rd from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Quincy Middle School in the wrestling room behind the school. Practices start the week of January 26th with the final day of registration being Friday, January 30th.
I got an update from our director over at the choir to. There's only a few tickets left for the Bagpipe Bash on Saturday, January 24th. That's right. That's this weekend. You can't [00:05:00] keep waiting to get your tickets. All funds from this Quincy Booster Club fundraiser will support the Quincy High School choir and their performance and travel experiences.

There is an answer for No School Friday. The Quincy Rec Department is hosting adult volleyball Friday Open Gym. Join us for some volleyball fun Friday evenings from five 30 to 7:30 PM at Monument Elementary. The best part, it's free. Go. Enjoy your volleyball guys. And work off some of that energy and meet some new people and just have a good time.

Also tonight is the winter parent meeting at QIA at 6:00 PM and very important, we already mentioned earlier, no school on Friday for records day. Do not send your kids to school to tomorrow morning. Make sure they go today, not tomorrow in [00:08:00] upcoming Jacks sports and events.
The Jackson Lady Jacks wrestlings teams are competing in Grandview today. JB Matches start at 6:00 PM with varsity starting at seven Go Jacks
