If it matters to our community, we're talking about it. In the next few minutes, we'll cover today's weather, what's happening around town, school, sports, and activities, school, city council, police, fire, church community, and local business news.

Whether you're heading to work, getting the kids out the door, or just easing into your day, we're here to help you stay connected to what's happening in our community. Grab your coffee, get ready for your day, and let's start with today's weather forecast. It's a warm morning, currently 54 here at the studio, cloudy this morning.

Then gradually becoming mostly sunny today with a high near 70. So it's actually a perfect day to read a funny book to your kiddos while sitting outside in your backyard and joining a beautiful spring day today around Quincy. The senior center has an exercise class at 1:00 PM There's peanut hole at 3:00 PM and they also play Mexican train at 6:30 PM after dinner.

In the notes section, the Quincy Rotary Club will be meeting today at 12:10 PM just outside of the Jacks restaurant at the Quincy Market. The Quincy Valley Alliance Club is meeting tonight at 6:00 PM at the QU Christian Reform Church at 4 28 Street.

Quincy Recreation Department [00:02:00] would like to invite the community to family Game Night tonight from six 30 to 8:30 PM. Bring your own game or play one of the available games at the rec center. Make some new friends and have a good night. Chamber of Commerce is hosting their monthly business after hours tonight at the Quincy Valley Medical Center at 5:30 PM Sunland Estates, Riverside store and Restaurant is hosting.

Its Privia Night tonight from seven to 9:00 PM. There are prices to win and it's free to play. Gather a group of six friends and have a great night testing your trivial skills skills. Get ready for giggles, wiggles, and creative fun at the Quincy Public Library. Join us for preschool story time on the second and third Thursdays of February through April at 10:00 AM It's perfect for kids' age two through six, and of course, they're grownups.

Each session includes joyful stories, silly songs, movement, fun, and a fun, fun coloring or craft activity. Wrap it all up. It's the perfect way to spark imagination and build early literacy skills. [00:03:00] All while having a good time, no registration needed. Just come ready to play, learn, and create so you can start your day off with a smile.

in upcoming events tomorrow from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. On the hook, fish and chips food truck will be here in town selling wild Alaskan cod fish and chips. The food truck will be parked at Napa at 3 0 5 F Street Southeast. The Quincy Valley Tourism Board is happy to announce the 17th annual trout fishing derby on March 27th and 28th.

The prize prizes given for youth and adult divisions. Registration is available online at Quincy Hardware Lumber, and at the Quincy Chamber of Commerce. The Quincy Rec Department is excited to announce the first ever battle, the Net [00:04:00] adult four versus four code volleyball tournament. Put your team and five together, register and get ready for this fun day of games.

There's only 12 team positions available, so be sure and register soon. The deadline to register is March 28th with the tournament happening on Saturday the 11th at 9:00 AM. Before we jump into upcoming Quincy Jacks life, we're gonna cover city admin news and announcements. Then we'll jump to upcoming Quincy Jack Sports and Events.

In School News, there are two chances to hear and celebrate all of our student musicians. Join us at 7:00 PM tonight at the Quincy High School Pack. For the Q-H-S-Q-M-S Band Concert is a free event and you can come support our music program. Also, ancient Lakes Elementary is holding their spring concert tonight at 6:00 PM As well show up and support your student and let's support the arts in our schools Calling all regulator wrestlers.

Pitcher Day is this Friday. [00:05:00] Wear your team T-shirt and black bottoms for the team picture. You can wear uniforms for the individual photos. Please spread the word. Let all of the team know. So everybody's prepared this Friday and it's still fundraising season. The Quincy Band is having their UN fundraiser 2026, where you're invited to make any size of donations, support their great department.

Department. Go to the concert tonight. Come early by the way, 'cause CEC will disappear quick. You'll understand why we support this amazing program. The Quincy Booster Club in support of the Quincy High School Theater is presenting the egg. My yard fundraiser Easter's April 5th this year, so it's just around the corner.

You're ready to put the fun back in fundraiser because this one takes a lot of the prep work out of the way for your busy Easter weekend. Imagine just being able to wake up to your yard already full of Easter eggs for your kids to hunt. This amazing feat is accomplished by some of your pre-ordered amount of eggs.

[00:06:00] Options are 25, 50, 75, and a hundred candy filled eggs. Tell 'em whether you'd like the eggs simply dropped off at your residence and you can put them out. Or would you like them Pres scattered in your front yard on either Friday or Saturday night before Easter. Orders must be submitted by March 19th.

In Jack's Sports News today, the Jack Varsity golf team teased off against freight at 11:00 AM the Lakeview Golf and Country Club in so Lake. The Jackson Lady Jacks junior varsity track and field team competes at the AC Davis JV Invitational in Yakima, starting at three 30. It's gonna be a long evening.

They're playing against 13 other schools during the Invitation Invitational. The Jacks varsity and junior varsity soccer teams play against Brewster at home at 4:00 PM from four and at 6:00 PM Jackson. Lady Jacks varsity and junior varsity tennis team has competed at Prosser High at 4:00 PM. And tomorrow Jack's varsity and junior varsity baseball teams based off against Kir High School here at home at 4:00 PM Go, Jack.
