Good Morning Quincy WA Daily Brief – Friday, April 24 2026

Speaker: [00:00:00] Good morning, Quincy. Today is Friday, April 24th, 2026, and congratulations. You've almost made it through another week, and the weekend is just around the corner.

This is the Good Morning Quincy Washington newscast with your daily local update for Quincy, George Winchester, Crescent Bar Southern Estates, and all of its surrounding area. If it matters in the 9 8, 4 8, you'll hear it here in the next few minutes, we'll cover today's weather, what's happening around town, school, sports and activities, school, city council, police, fire, church community, and local business news.

Whether you're heading to work, getting the kids outta the door, or just easing into your day, we're here to help you stay connected to what's happening at our community. Grab your coffee, get ready for the day, and let's start with today's forecast. We're starting out kind of [00:01:00] chilly this morning. It's currently 41 here at the studio with the actual bean, a little bit colder along the river and out of the interstate, but it's doing that nasty feels like thing this morning.

And while the actual is right around 40, the feels like number is down around 32. So be sure to layer this morning, it's gonna be a little cooler. Starting off today is supposed to be sunny with a high near 60, but we're gonna have the chilly north wind from nine to 16 miles per hour. That's gonna. Make it feel not quite as 60 as it should be with gusts as high as 24.

Uh, we're out of the wind advisory thankfully, but we still got that strong wind gusts that come along with living in our area tonight, partly cloudy with a low around 36 north winds, seven to nine miles per hour. Important warning, warning, warning, the National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for tonight.

With the feels like temperature dipping below, freezing in the night and continuing through the morning, which is apparently [00:02:00] enough of a, feels like to actually cause some freezing. Uh, be sure all of our orchardists and farmers watch your crops tonight. Be aware, be prepared. They are expecting an actual freeze.

This is a legit warning from the National Weather Service. This weekend, mostly sunny skies with highs right around 60 degree mark and hovering around 40 at night.
