SPEAKER_02

Welcome to the Talk Talk Talk Cover Podcast. Welcome back. Welcome back. And welcome back to us. Oh Jesus, Jesus. I know. It's been it's been a while for us. I know. I know. We just got back from a week-long vacation down on the Cape. Well, these two decades. One duck. Sarah had to work, unfortunately. I was working. I was holding it down. Yeah. She has someone who has to support our apartment. Someone has to. Which is starting this Tuesday. I can't even believe that. I can't believe that. I actually like I am excited. The one thing that's kind of deterring me from like full excitement is like the commute. Yeah. Because only a little bit. Right. It's only gonna be for two weeks and it's not even every day because it's hybrid, so it shouldn't be that bad. But like from here with no traffic, it'll take me an hour. Yeah. And I'm a little scared of traffic. Like I'm actually nervous that I'm gonna be late.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Like I'm gonna have to leave the house at like 6 30 to get there for nine. Oof. That's crazy. I well, I did. I went into Boston on Thursday to work, and honestly, the traffic getting there is not that bad. It's the traffic going home. Because rush hour starts coming from Boston. Literally 1 p.m. Yeah, no, literally. Like not even kidding. But like most of the people, like I left my house, I think, at like eight, and I was like in the area at like nine. I just had to find parking, which did you feel like a city girl?

SPEAKER_01

Did you love it?

SPEAKER_02

I did, I loved it. Yeah. Oh no. My office is in like government center. I don't know if you guys know what that is. Because I didn't really know what it was before. But it's like I felt like I was in Europe. Like that's how like that's what the vibe was. Who was just telling us that when we were talking to them? That girl that we met?

SPEAKER_01

Uh yeah, that event we went to.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, the event that we went to, a girl was saying that she lived over in Beacon Hill and she was a good feeling. She feels like Europe. Yeah, she was like that. I think it's around that area. Yeah, but then I mean you said it, and we've been to Europe, so yeah, I literally tried I was in Edinburgh again. Ugh, my dream. I was like, I was having imposter syndrome because I was like, I'm a city girl. I'm not like a city girl, but I was like, I'm not yet. You are. I know I have a lease. Yeah, but it made me want to go back to Europe. So she made a TikTok about Europe, and I was like, hey, so I'm booking a flight. No, like I'm not kidding, I'm ready to book another flight. Well, we were just talking about Portugal again the other day. Hey, but the flights are like the flights are actually ridiculous. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

People, maybe we can find somewhere cheaper. Yeah. It's more beautiful. I don't know how. I know. To be honest, I don't know where I'd want to go. I know. Portugal. I mean, I would love to go to Portugal. I want to go to Greece too. Whatever's cheapest, I want to go to.

SPEAKER_02

I should go to Santam Island. I know. You've never been to an island. Oh. I'm gonna be like an adventure. Like I've been sitting around on the beach. Like, I want to like be seeing something. I kind of feel that way too. Yeah. Which, like, don't give me a second. It's so nice.

SPEAKER_01

But like, yeah. But I could also eat like a camping trip up.

SPEAKER_02

I do like camping. I could eat up a camping trip. We should go to Acadia for sure. I think that would be so fun. Okay, we should do that in September. Yeah, I have the time off. Okay. Perfect. I would totally do that. Acadia is my hottie, seriously. Okay, but how is your cape week? There is awesome, actually. So fun. Usually our cape week consists of beach every single day, cards, early bedtime. This beach, like I'm exhausted. Yeah. I kind of were busy. I know we were busy. Oh, and you found a love for going out. And I read for going out. I am so excited about that. Unfortunately, I'm not a night owl. So like going out really is an effort for me. But when we went, we would like go out at like eight, and like we weren't out, like it's like the being out until like three in the morning. Then I'm like, I I can't find it. It's too much. It's just like unnecessary. It's too much. But like everybody on the Cape is on vacation. So like we went out on a Tuesday, Wednesday. Yeah. Which, like, number one, I think we've gone out. We've been going to the Cape once a year since like forever. Yeah. And I think we've gone out like three times total. Are you serious? Yeah, like we always cook in, like, we just do like family stuff. Yeah, yeah. And so this year, like, we went out twice and we we were like out partying. The girls were out. Yeah. And um I love that. We refrained from hard liquor, and I think that's kind of what saved us. We did Hugo Spreads. I mean, it has like gin in it, but we weren't drinking like straight up tequila sprites. I liked it too. I had three. Okay, maybe you need to stick to gin then. Yeah, no more tequila. It hurts my feelings, but like it, I actually woke up and I was like so Oh my god. I was like so chipper. I love that one. And it probably helps that like we met educated baddies at the bar who were super cute. I'm not gonna lie. And Ari went right up to them and started talking. She really practiced what she preaches, and it was awesome. I was like, you know what? I'm not gonna be able to do that. I love that.

SPEAKER_01

Well, they were like these guys, these two guys were like sitting by um like the pool table, and so you have to like walk by them to like go to the bathroom. So like when we were coming back, I was like, I'm gonna say something.

SPEAKER_02

She didn't even tell me, mind you. No, I just pulls over.

SPEAKER_01

I was like, oh shit.

SPEAKER_02

I just pulled over. You honestly have to do it like that though, or else you're gonna like like get your nerves up, right?

SPEAKER_01

I'm not gonna second guess I just went for it. So I was like, oh, like who's winning? And so then they were chatting it up. And then he was like, I was. Were they cute? Yeah, they were baddies. Oh yeah. Oh, wait. Yeah, we send you their Instagram. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, we had a tonk. Or what is it? A twonk? A tonk. A twonk and instead of a twink, it's like a bigger version of a twink. It's a tank.

SPEAKER_02

Did you come up with that? Yeah. I'm like, wait, we just came up with this the other day. Wow, you guys are gone for a week, and I've already no, you were there. That was during the lobster bake. Right, it was. Yeah. We called Adam a Twonk.

SPEAKER_01

It might have been before. So we had Twonk and then we had a petite stocky man.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. No, but he wasn't stocky. He literally wasn't even petite because we okay, so we walk up to him and we're like chatting up. One of the guys had like shorts on that had like the Harvard logo. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Women in STEM. Yeah. I'm knowing what I'm doing. I'm saying I know where you are. We know an educated body when we see one. Yeah. He said, I said, Oh, you went to Harvard. He was like, Why do you know? Literally wearing the shorts. I was like, so did you get away? You're like, I like you. Yeah. So then I'm like, I know exactly now I now I have it in because now I can go on the roster. Exactly. And I can find your first and last name.

SPEAKER_01

I know how much you weigh, I know how tall you are in your hometown.

SPEAKER_02

Literally, the it said that he was like, how big did it say he was? Like six foot and 250 pounds.

SPEAKER_01

He was big, and the other one was still big, and he was like, No, that was the small one.

SPEAKER_02

And I Adam said, That guy's not six feet tall. I said, What's it?

SPEAKER_01

No, it was it didn't say six. It was like five ten or something. He was not five ten. He was a little taller than us.

SPEAKER_02

I was wearing wedges, and I felt like we were looking each other in the eyes. Yeah, it was giving like five. Five'eight, five's nine. He was short and stout. He was short and stout. He was a baddie had dimples. He was jacked.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I love that. Yeah, he was odd. So there's baddies at the cape, is what I think. There's baddies at the cape. Yeah, and so then his other buddy was like taller and they were both athletes, both educated at Harvard. Yeah. Recent graduates. We know they're like our age. Yeah. Yeah. So are you keeping in touch? So we have their socials. Yeah. So DM them. So we're there you go.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, exactly. But it was like just good chat with people and some of the conversations were weird. They were like those guys or the other guys? No, the two guys that we were talking to. No. Because they Kara and Hannah were playing pool. So like I was like, Yeah, we were kicking ass mind you. They were. So then I had to like keep it going until they came off. Like her. So like they're like talking to me about like, oh, like what it what? He asked, like, they walk away. And so like he like sees Kara and he's like, oh, like, who's like the frisky one in the book? Oh, the frisky one? And I'm like, oh her. Okay. And you're being frisky? I guess I'm being frisky. But he says something along the lines of that. And I'm like, oh, and he's like, oh really? Oh, so who's single? I said, Well, all of us. Take your big babe. We can all sing. So then I say that and he's like, oh, so we're having a five sum. I said, huh? Hey, I'm mentally prepared for this cup.

unknown

I said, hold on. Hold on.

SPEAKER_02

He said, how open-minded are you guys? I mean, did I mention we're related? Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I said, hey, so those are the important piece of information. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

That shit was weird.

SPEAKER_00

I was like, hey, so now you're weird, but then I turn around to like shoot the pool.

SPEAKER_02

Whatever the fuck. Oh. And he was like, what does your back say? Because I have like a tattoo. Hey, read it. Well, I mean, I'm not sure. You're Morvid, aren't you? Yeah. Are you stupid or are you dumb? Yeah. And I had like low rise jeans on. He was like, oh, well, like my buddy likes that. I said, okay, so then have your buddy tell me. What the hell? How old? Okay, they're young. They're 24 and 22.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

The short one was okay, too. Well, I don't know why at that age we need to like be like, hey, my buddy over there likes you. Yeah, your buddy's already talked to you. How about he just yeah? He was just talking to me, he went over there, and now you're telling me. But it was funny because then I'd have a conversation with one guy and then I'd go to a conversation with the next guy, and then I'm like shooting out these facts, and he's like, How do you know this? I was just talking to your buddy, and he told me. Yeah, he thinks I'm we're gonna be able to do it. He thinks I'm just like, how do you know it's a harbor? I'm like, yeah, you're just giving those ads. I was like, Yeah, well, he has the shorts on, and then I just you guys look like I'm like, oh, you're going to the military? He's like, How did you a lot of military baddies this week too? Interesting. Maybe they're on their way. So speaking of hotties, we should get our hotties in the train.

SPEAKER_01

Uh, what is your hottie? Okay. Ma hottie. Oh, I know it's your hottie. You know what my hottie is. Um speaking in a southern accent.

SPEAKER_02

We have been on this bit since we left for vacation. No, like. And unfortunately, everyone hates it. And unfortunately, I forgot what I left. No, we literally is your haughty a southern accent. Yes. Your southern accent. Yeah. And some honey. Yes, yes. We were talking in it, and then it got to the point where I was thinking in a southern accent. I was like, I don't even remember how I sound. Wait, that's crazy.

SPEAKER_01

And then we were calling everyone a heifer.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. You're a mother halfer. Yeah. Someone said that in the group chat last night, and I just like had to skip over it. Like, what are we gonna do? I don't know what I don't know what that means, my god. No, a heifer, we were we were fucking killing ourselves. We thought it was so funny. My dad and Adam, it's like day two of the trip. They're like, hey, so is this bit over yet? Yeah. Is it bit over? I said, No! It's absolutely not over. Wait, you ever got southern accent? It was like an old school one. Sometimes it's just funny. It's called LARPing. Ever heard of it? Yeah. What is that? Live action role play. That's like when the guys do like the sword fighting and shit. Oh. Yeah. We're LARP in a southern accent. We were doing that. Oh, I'm like screaming out the car window at people. You fucking heifer! Are you serious? Yeah, when they're like cutting us off or something.

SPEAKER_01

Anyone who's pissing me off, we're not screaming. You're a hei. You're a heifer.

SPEAKER_00

We're a big ol' halfer. Oh, what do we think? That's a good insult. Blue ribbon for beard the biggest heifer in the life.

SPEAKER_02

You're winning halfer.

SPEAKER_01

Blue ribbon heifer.

SPEAKER_02

Blue ribbon win and halfer. Yeah. Wait, that's a crazy. Isn't that crazy? You're a cow. That's like very cow. Here's a blue ribbon. Here's a blue ribbon. Because you're a heifer. Yeah, so that was our bit for the week. And I just something about taking a bit too far. Really, I love it. It makes it funnier. It's like when everyone's starting to get annoyed. Like, that's when I'm talking about it. Last night we were peeing our pants. No, because Hannah got into it. And Aunt Dottie's like, I kind of love it. My mom was talking to me in it. I was like, exactly. Exactly.

SPEAKER_01

It makes any simple joke way funnier. Yeah. Way funnier.

SPEAKER_02

And then I just love giving people pet names. Thank you, darling. Oh shit, yeah. Oh shit. Yeah. So we've been, I think I'm just going on that tablet. Yeah. Oh, darling. Exactly. I think condescending, darling. Yes. Oh, darling. I see the southern hospitality really is like a good trait to have. Yeah. So I think boxing with the southern accent just makes me a little kinder sometimes.

SPEAKER_01

Well, yeah, we're like, I love that. At the bar and like someone's supposed to drink, I'm like, oh, darling, don't worry. Welcome back to the pros. No one needs to worry. Dance around it. It's fine. No one's fine.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, it's fine. Because sometimes you say it in a normal accent. It's fine. It's it's fine. It's fine. Well, it's not fine if you say it like this.

SPEAKER_01

It's fine. Oh, yeah, honestly. Yeah. No, no, no. They're not known for being a few. It's fine.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, well, that's exactly it. And the locals there weren't nice, mind you. This one guy at the cup. Yeah, some of the drunk guys were, number one, they were stinky AF. They were stinky, legit smelling BO.

SPEAKER_01

They're like looking stinky, like you actually smell like Shayla. No, I can actually smell it. That's disgusting.

SPEAKER_02

This one guy was like why? They're just like they looked gross. No, they smell. Like they come close and they smell B.

SPEAKER_01

Like I smell BO.

SPEAKER_02

Like I smelled. You know what it probably is? They're probably drinking a lot and it's coming out.

SPEAKER_01

And they worked all day, and like DMC was like, I've been here since four.

SPEAKER_02

I'm like, hey, so they just start a conversation and then say stuff like, I've been here for nine years and like I hate all these locals. I hate all of these tourists. And I'm like, then why are you? I don't live here. You're in a tourist area. You're in a tourist area.

SPEAKER_01

I ought to- I actually can't stand that. I was like, oh, you could just move to another beach town and he'll be a little bit more. Yeah, when that is not a tourist area. I know, and I said that then. Why are you complaining? Right. Why are you complaining about that?

SPEAKER_02

I was like, then the complaint is the biggest touristy bar in Chatham, Cape Cod. Everyone knows about it. Everybody knows about the squire, and you're sitting here on a Tuesday night thinking there's gonna be no tourist. And you say, so for real. Literally, what are we talking about? No, I can't stand that when you live in a tourist area and you can't stand tourists. It's like, what do you get? And it's literally you only get tourists for like three months out of the year. Like you have the rest of it. I don't know. People are so weird. It's so bad. Okay, well, that's our that's that's a good hottie. That's a good one. I love that hottie. Oh, my hottie. This is like kind of old news at this point. But did you guys see the couple that climbed the Empire State Buildings? Okay, so I kept seeing memes for it, but I didn't really. I mean, I saw the original flag, but apparently they do this. Like they have a documentary on Netflix about it. Oh but like it was like news because why am I out of breath? Because we don't know how to talk for a long time, that long time. Give me a second. Um, they climbed to the top of the Empire Estate Building. I don't know how they got up there.

SPEAKER_01

Wow, how do you get like yeah, past people for that?

SPEAKER_02

I don't know if they did. I think they got arrested after because it was.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but they made it to the top. I'm saying, like, how did they like initially get past people to get up there?

SPEAKER_02

No, literally, they must have like it must have been an inside job. Like that's what I'm thinking. But then the guy proposed to her up there. Yeah, like they are so hot. Yeah, that's crazy. And then they were like, and they weren't harnessed in, they free soloed it. Yeah, they free soloed it. And they held up a sign. Right. I don't know what it said. Didn't it say like love? When the power of love beats the love of power, the world knows peace. Yeah. Ooh, I got the chicken. They so excited like them. Yeah, exactly. And they got arrested and they didn't give a shit.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and then they were like living the courthouse or whatever, like you know, the judge or whatever the fuck it is. And then they were like, everyone's like, kiss, kiss! Like loving them.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, everyone loved them. Yeah. Also, it was on like the hottest day of the year. Like, wow. I couldn't even step outside. I don't know how they were standing. Let alone free street. It definitely would have been up there. That's true. That's so true. But still, it was like they were sweating, they were definitely nervous. Yeah. That's awesome. Yeah. So that's my hobby. No, I really like it. They're my second hobby. Yeah. That's super cool. No, I really like that. I love a good message. Like, same. You gotta be risky for high revolt. It was like so unexpected and so like random. Love it. I guess. It just popped up.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

That's a good one. Yeah. Um, my hottie is English muffin pizzas. Oh! Wait, I haven't had that in forever. No, I'm not sure. Well, I wanted pizza real bad when we got back from the bar the first night we went out and we had I had like three drinks. I was like on perfect levels. I was like, Where I was like coherent, but I was just like silly. Yeah. It's like perfect level when we get back, and I was like, I want pizza. And Ari's like, we have English muffins. I was like, oh my god! I was like, yeah, it was so it hit so good. So good. I haven't had a lot of fun. And it's the perfect portion to have a lot of fun. It honestly is. Wait, we should have that for lunch. Yeah. Like that was so good. That sounds really good. That and like a bagel pizza. Yeah, I would have fucked up a bagel pizza. Bagel bites or something. Yeah, those are so good. Yeah. We're gonna need a stock up on those barbettes. We need like ingredients. Have you started packing at all? No. Yeah. I feel like you have more stuff than me, though. I have a lot of stuff. Yeah, guys, I'm bringing in like two weeks. Literally less than two weeks now, 13 days. That's crazy. I'm literally so excited. Like, I have to pack up my entire I'm getting antsy about it. And I went through my clothes yesterday, and I I feel like I have more clothes than I did already. You have a lot of clothes. You do have a lot of clothes. Well, I I also have a lot of clothes because I've got things.

SPEAKER_01

In your 20s. You accumulate a lot of things. Yeah, exactly. And age, you just are continuously the same size.

SPEAKER_02

Well, that's the thing, is that I have 24 years of stuff that fit in a home because like I only went to school for like a year. Literally. Because of COVID, I only went away for a year. So then everything stayed the same. So like now I have to try to figure out how to fit the whole closet that I have into a closet that's like a different setup. Yeah. And I'm like, I'm gonna have to buy, I don't even know what, because I have a lot of shit in that closet. You do. I don't know. Yeah, I'm not even buying anything until I like move. I feel like you need to like figure this out. I'm hoping I don't need a dresser. I'm bringing my dresser. I was like, yeah. I'm not bringing mine won't fit. But I don't want it anyways. I'm like, I want all new stuff. Kara's like, I'm bringing everything I have, so it feels exactly the same. Like, I want to feel like I'm in my own house, you know? Like I want it to feel like my room. Like all of this stuff is my room. I know. I'm gonna be living in a foreign town and it's not gonna be my room. Yeah. You can't do that. I need I want like everything new. I love that for you. I'm trying not to spend a lot of money too, because I haven't gotten a paycheck. Yeah. It's like I already have I've had this dresser since I was born. And it's in perfect shape. Why do I need new? Yeah, yeah, no. She's beautiful. She's gorgeous. If mine would fit, mine's like pretty big. If mine would fit, I probably would bring it. Yeah. It won't. So you could sell it, make some cash. Yeah. I'm trying to sell everything too. But you're naughty.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, let me ruin the vibe. You do you guys know those seductive cooking TikToks?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yuck. Those. I do not. Why are you a loaf of sort of sort of sort of sort of thing? Like I don't like the salt. What's the sort of thing? No, no. They literally. Oh, wait, I know what you're talking about.

SPEAKER_01

Why are you fingering? Like, that is disgusting. Like, it's actually disgusting.

SPEAKER_02

It like the whole time I'm like, No, it actually grosses me out. Bad.

SPEAKER_01

No, it's like I'm reporting it.

SPEAKER_02

One man thinking this is good. I need to record this. See, men clearly, like, they have no idea what women are. Other men. If they're targeting women. Other men are watching this, mind you. Yeah. Exactly.

SPEAKER_01

Taking notes, they're like, oh, good, good, good. Hey, don't do that too. Hey, don't do that.

SPEAKER_02

Like, why are you making two loaves of bread into two loaves and then smacking them on the show? It's so good. You're so weird. People in the comments are like, not even food is safe.

SPEAKER_01

Wait, yeah. Literally, not even food is safe. Yeah. No, that shit is weird and it's gross. That's a really good nodding. She's like, wait a minute.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. No, when like a really hot guy is cooking. And it's like the camera's down here and it's like his shirt's off. So she does like some of the things that we're doing. It's like a thirst drop, but like. But they're just cooking and they happen to have their shirt on. In the comments, they're just full of women because we're not used to seeing a hot man. I like like a wholesome moment where a man's just cooking. Ari is more into cutesy, whereas we're more into like smuddy. No, yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But take your shirt off.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, literally. But with your shirt off. Show us your biceps. Now take your shirt off. That's a really good naughty. Thank you. Yeah, that was a good naughty. Yeah, I don't like that at all. Makes me feel uncomfy. Yeah. Okay. You wanna know what my naughty is? I I do. I'm ready to talk about this. Okay. I don't know how you guys are in arguments, but I hate. You don't?

SPEAKER_00

I'm actually scared of Carol.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, really? No. I'm fine. Well, I was gonna say I hate when people like see red when they're mad. Right. And like they you do that? Oh my god! Just keep going. Okay, because honestly, I I think I'm probably really annoying to argue with because like I am very like logical and like I don't like raise my voice. I'll cry, but like I don't raise my voice. Yeah, I'm not a yelling type. Oh, I go quiet. I'm like, yeah, I would go quiet first for sure.

SPEAKER_01

I'm like at a cave and then if you would know.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I don't think you would do this. But just like people that like they're arguing with you and they forget that like I like. I literally remember arguing with my ex, and I would be like, It's me. Like, we're supposed to be a good one. Yeah. You're looking at me like I'm this like evil person. Like, it's me. Wait, that's so real. I hate that. No, you're not. I hate that so much.

SPEAKER_01

And I just didn't know that and I hated it.

SPEAKER_02

I'm seeing red at strangers.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, like I've like seen you go red, but it was justified. He was bullying me.

SPEAKER_02

We talked about this on the pod when the guy said that Ariana was funny for a woman. Oh, yeah. Like I saw red and like now I'm gonna say something neat. Yeah, yeah. But like I'll do that. My own people is different. That's what I mean. Like, I don't say like I have like a really good filter when I'm arguing with people that I love. You know what I mean? Like, and I think that's really important. Like, I'm very careful about what I say, and I hate when people don't give me the same respect. Yeah, because it's like you're saying something out of anger that you probably exactly because you said it because you thought it. Like you do mean it a little bit. That's what I mean. Like you shouldn't have said it. That's exactly what I mean.

SPEAKER_01

Arguing comes from a place of like caring. Like you are arguing about it too.

SPEAKER_02

Because you want to get to the That's what I mean. Like I'm very like solution oriented when I'm arguing to which I don't know, it might be annoying to argue with me because of that, but I'm just saying, don't argue with you. Yeah. That's what yeah. Don't argue with me then. Why are we like that? That's something that's hard for me because like as friends, what are we arguing about?

SPEAKER_01

That's like hard.

SPEAKER_02

It's like I'm checking to have you in my life. Right. Like, what are we arguing about? Unless it's like a in a disrespectful way. Like, I don't know. But you're my friend, you shouldn't be disrespectful. Well, it's like fancy. Exactly. Okay, that's what like really bothers me is the disrespect when it comes down to it. I think I'm cutting you off before we get to a point where I can see red. I need to tell you, you're gone. See, I'm I like that about you because I'm like too forgiving. I'm like, no, you're gonna cut us this up like that.

SPEAKER_01

That's where I am. I'm too forgiving. I'm like, okay.

SPEAKER_02

It's fine. Because I'm like, there's history there, and like, I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I'd rather just like I but I just get quiet and I don't want to be.

SPEAKER_02

It's hard because like if you're somebody But you're inconveniencing me. Yeah. No, it's true. Like, I have so many people in my life who want to spend time with me. I have a brother who lives an hour away. I have cousins who I can fly to, and I'm spending time with you. Yeah. When you don't respect my time. And you're not respecting me. Goodbye. I have other people that I need to want to see me. Like, I'm not wasting my time with somebody who's not even considering any of my feelings or my life. I don't, I I'm not fine, I'm not considering you then. Goodbye.

unknown

Goodbye.

SPEAKER_02

I'm getting on a flight, I'm going to see my best friend here. I really wish I was sitting around here. Yeah. That's what I'm seeing. I'm pissed. I was like that more. I think I'm getting to that point there. Yeah. It just like takes practice. Yeah. It takes practice because it's like unlearning. Like 25 years. Yeah. Yeah. But you know what I realized the other day is that I had like an identity crisis when I had like friendship breakups before it because I was such a people pleaser that it was like, and then all of a sudden it was like even when I was people pleasing, it didn't work. And so like this thing that I thought was working for me my whole life, right? It just like stopped working, and like I was the villain anyway. So it was like, so that's why I was not a villain, it just makes no sense to me. What are we talking about? What did you do to her? Unfortunately, I've been painted that way, and like that's just something you have to accept. I think it's just like part of the human experience. I mean, we've all been a villain, you're gonna be in villain. I just don't have a villain in someone's face. I don't claim that identity. No, yeah. No, I don't claim that identity. Because sometimes it's hard to do it. I'm reacting to your choices. So if that makes me a villain to your behavior and your in consideration. You have to project. People project really heavily. Like, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And that's like usually when like the nicer person is painted to be the villain. Like it's like very hard for be to be mean. Like it's hard. That's how it's like.

SPEAKER_02

Is that when you guys are not just you guys, but people in general. I mean, I do it too. Yeah. When you're always accommodating and nice, and then you finally put up a boundary or you say something that you like that I don't like when you do that or whatever, it's like now you're the bad guy. It's like, well, because you're used to walking all over me, now I'm a bad guy because I've stood up to the box. Exactly. Because I put boundaries up and I started living my life. Right. Like, that's not fair. Yeah, it's not fair. And you have to do it. We don't need we don't need people like that in our lives. Agreed. And it feels relieving. Yes. It's like a weight lifted off the shoulder. Yeah. You're done. Exactly. Honestly. Once you've crossed one of my friends, you're dead to me. Goodbye. No, it's true. Honestly, because it's like, why are you putting up with behavior from like because if a man was doing that, I would have already hit him with my car. That's exactly what I'm thinking. Because I don't I don't want to be treated like that by anybody. Right. You shouldn't. Period. That is a great one. Yeah. Well, my naughty's not as philosophical. It's bug bites. Plain old bug bites. Yeah, we were getting harassed by greenheads. That doesn't make me a big thing. Yeah, no, it bugs the cape or my porn. Dude, not the greenheads. Yeah, and they hurt. Those things hurt.

SPEAKER_01

Dude, they're pissing me off. Smacking the shit.

SPEAKER_02

I had a hand mark on my leg because I hit my leg so hard trying to kill this thing. They're on the beach. Yes. That's disgusting. Yeah, it was bad.

SPEAKER_01

We went to like a sandbar one day, which was so awesome. But then all the bugs were like, oh, fresh meat. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And like when it's not windy enough, the bugs are out. So like when there's a good ocean breeze, it's like, oh, you're fine. But if it if it's kind of still, like, you're fucked. Like you're cannot sand bugs, especially on the beach, because you can't escape them. Yeah, we couldn't. There was no reading to be had. There was no laying on a blanket. Let's not even relax. On alert for eight hours. We're just whoopah. Okay, I would have been done after the first hour. I'm like calling my dad. I can't even believe we guys stayed on the back. We need to get off this land. And the tide was coming in. I was like, we're getting washed away. Wait, you guys had to take a boat to the beach. Uh-huh. Yeah, well, my dad rented a boat so we could go to the sandbar because it's like, it's just sand in the middle of the ocean. Yeah. When it's low tide. Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_01

So then we're just like, hey, the tide's coming in. Hey, come and get us. Hey, we're gonna drown. I'm holding the bag over my head. It's under my wings. Surprisingly, I didn't get one bug bite. Hate you. How? I didn't get one. Even by the greenheads? No. I thought so. Sometimes I'm not sure.

SPEAKER_02

What are they eating though? Are they eating your skin? Okay, we were asking that question as well. Are they eating my blood or my skin? Um the mosquitoes eating skin. They're legit biting my blood. Are they biting? Like they're sinking their teeth in. Yeah, you're right. They're just jabbing me. It's like a needle. I feel like it's your skin that they're taking. Yeah, and like the bug bites, I think the worst thing about bug bites is them, I mean, not only them swarming you, but them coming up to you. Oh my god. Hello?

SPEAKER_01

What?

SPEAKER_02

What? When they show up like days later. I'm not sure. I think it just showed up this morning. Like I've been home for about a day and a half.

SPEAKER_01

Bug bites show up like two days later. Yeah, that pisses me off.

SPEAKER_02

One of them when I was there showed up like same day fat. I said automatically came up. I was like, but then it was gone. Weird. So that was fine. Actually, it's still there. Oh. Let's not talk about it. I also hate bug bites. Yeah. I hate bugs in general. I know. Yeah, I don't like it. So I'm on board with that one. Thank you. It was quite the treaty.

SPEAKER_01

She caught a fly like a big one like he did.

SPEAKER_02

No, so it was yeah. She has chopsticks. Yeah. We were in, so our room had two sets of bunk beds. So it was like Ari and Hannah on the bottom, and I was on the top bunk of Hannah's bunk. Yeah. And we had like this big, we were upstairs. And I guess my mom had saw the fly before she went to bed, but she was like, I got it out of my room and I slammed the door. She was like, I couldn't kill it, so I just locked it out of my room. I was like, well, it flew into my room. Yeah. And we're sitting there. I have my blankets on and I see it fly across because they could hear it. I went like this, and I was like, oh my god! I caught it! And it was alive. And I was like, somebody can't. Yeah, what do you do with it? Oh my god. Just throw it out the window. And put it in a napkin because she's like trying to get a napkin. What did you get it in the napkin? It's still alive. And I kept opening the napkin, the thing was still alive. I was like, I can't kill it. How did you even get it in the napkin? I went, and I just folded out I shoved it. And then I don't know. I just gave it to Hannah and she took it because I was on the top bug. You know what? You always need someone in the group who doesn't mind dealing with bugs. Because I'm not that person. I'll never be able to do it. I was just trying to bite you. Then I could go to bed knowing it wouldn't wasn't gonna bite you.

SPEAKER_01

It was like one of those like house black.

SPEAKER_02

Wait, okay. Also, I was emptying my bag out yesterday to do my laundry and I found a bug in there. It's like we get into our topic? Yeah, we should. Okay. Give me the mic. And I'm like, give it the back. Oh. Driver roll up the partition. What did she say? Driver roll up the partition, please. What the fuck? The partition is like when you're in a taxi and it has like that glass thing. So if you're in a limo, they'll roll it down if they want to talk to you. Yeah, because she's trying to idea what she's talking about. She's trying to get freaky in the back of the limo. She's like, drive a roll of the partition, please. Oh, I didn't have a pen and paper. That's an actual song. Yeah, it's Beyonce. Sheesh. That was Beyonce in that sound. It's called Partition. Beyonce. What the fuck? Wait, I didn't. I thought that was some random woman. It's Beyonce. I didn't have a pen and paper. I got into the mic as it. Press record. I love that. Yeah, it's Beyonce. Oh, I loved that album. When Hannah and I went to this was like back in high school, our family went to the BVIs. And like we just listened to Beyonce the whole time. I don't know why. But that song was like it was the vibe. Wait, I like her country album. And it was the vibe at the time. It was the vibe at the time. I do like her country album too, actually. Levi's Jeans. Yeah. I'm wearing Levi's jeans right now. Exactly. She was onto something. She realized. Okay. What do you have to say? Yeah. Okay, I thought of this like last night. So someone that I know has this awful ex. Oof. Ooh. But they kissed him recently. Why? Why? What the hell? Why? Okay, so that was my question. Would you guys hook up with your ex? No. No, I'm absolutely not doing that. Even if I was desperate dunking and not doing it.

SPEAKER_00

If you did that, I fear I'd have to kill you for your own sake.

SPEAKER_02

Everyone's dying. Yeah. No, I'm not doing that. No. I knew you would say no. I think you I think it would be okay if you did it with only one of your exes, though. Yeah, I wouldn't do it with that guy, though. No to him too. Yeah. They're exes for a reason. Yeah. Yeah, I'm gonna say no. I'm gonna pass. Smash your pass. Pass. Pass.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Ari. I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

No, I would say no.

SPEAKER_02

She would say yes. For sure. And you know what? I don't fault you for that. Yeah. I mean a picture. I have. And I don't fault you for that. And anyways, you know what? Good question. Oh, thank you. No, while we're on this topic, Sarah and I were having a conversation last night. And the question is, as a woman, how do you know how to pick out a vibrator? Oh. You know what? This is a really good question. I need an answer. I feel like a lot of things women. I think a lot of things female based. I'm like so serious. I'm sweating right now. I'm literally so serious about this. I'm like, this is like a scientific question I have. Because a lot of things female based are like taboo. No, no, no. You know, like a lot of women are learning how to put tampons in by themselves. Like no one's telling them how to do it. Guys are just learning how to fucking wank, and then it's like end of the story. Like we have a little bit harder time. No one's telling us, oh, it's you hybriders do this if you're interested in this, or that blah blah. Right. I don't know what I'm looking at. This thing is the size of a dinosaur, and what am I supposed to do with it? Like some of them, I don't know what they're doing. Like, why is it so big then? You know what? I don't know. There's like far too many options, and well, that's the issue. Somebody give me a booklet. Like, what are you doing? I need to write a book. Honestly, and like I feel like it's just like word of mouth, too. Like, I'm asking my girlfriends. What do you what which ones are you using? Help a girl out. And there's uh different options. You know, you can have a few. Exactly. You could. You're not limited. There's no limit. You're not limited. There's no limit. Your limit does not exist.

SPEAKER_00

That's a good one. Yeah, I don't know. That's a good question.

SPEAKER_02

I don't think any of us have an answer for the question. I don't have an answer.

SPEAKER_00

No.

SPEAKER_02

When you die, you'll find out. That's not helpful for me then. Wait, I'm not. I have a question.

unknown

No.

SPEAKER_02

I'm scared. We're just gonna keep posing questions with no answers. You guys are gonna have a lot to think about. People are listening to this at 9 a.m. on their way to work. They're like, you know what? Good question. Yeah. They get to their desk on Amazon vibrators for women. Good morning, everyone. Okay, good morning. Good morning. My god, I forgot it was the morning. Guys, I have some more top news.

SPEAKER_01

I have more top news. Good news or bad? Good news for the women. Yay! Um, so Scotland has become the first country in the world to make period products free. Wow. Wow.

SPEAKER_02

I knew I'd love even more of a reason to move there. We loved it there.

SPEAKER_01

So the um feminine products will be available in like public spaces like schools, universities, community centers, and local libraries.

SPEAKER_02

So you can go up and pick some up or like they're still selling them at the stores.

SPEAKER_01

So they're I assume they're still gonna be free because I mean you can still purchase them because obviously people have preference. Right. But there will be like products available at these if necessary. Yes. Awesome! Which is very cool. The thought of it like at schools and universities. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I think that's the amount of times like you're in the bathroom, like I need to ask somebody for a tampon. No, literally. Like, don't make me stress they have one. Right. Right, exactly. I'm always strapped with a few just in case someone else needs a lot of things. I really am too.

SPEAKER_01

I always have hair ties, and I always have um tampons and pads. Yeah. I'm literally about to buy another diva cup just to have like not to donate, not to give to someone, but just in case someone needs it.

SPEAKER_02

Just in case here for you. I don't have a tampon, but I do have a diva cup. They're like, here, you want to farm my diva cup? You can just send it back. Here's my address. That's girlhood. Oh my god. I keep getting my head on this fuck ceiling.

SPEAKER_01

But no, I feel like I just need to have one like on my work bag and then one like at home or like a work diva and a home diva. A travel diva diva. Yeah, she's a traveling diva.

SPEAKER_02

She's a travel diva. Yeah, I'm gonna do that. I think that's a good idea. It's a really good idea.

SPEAKER_01

They're only 30 bucks.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, what would you do if you were going if you were on a date? I love a what if question. A what-if joke will get me every time. Yeah, because the what if just keeping it? Yeah, the theoretical is like I'm peeing my bill. No, hit me with it. Um, what if you were on a date with a guy and you went to the bathroom and I don't know when you would ask a guy though. But if he had a tampon on him and he was like, oh, here. Wait, like the guy where he had one. Well that's what I'm wondering. Like, what if the guy had one? Like if you needed a tampon and you're like, you buy children. I would kind of like that if we were. I think that's kind of sweet. Do you think he's ran through or do you think he has sisters? Okay. Honestly, I don't even think it matters. I think the fact that he's considerate enough to carry tampons around. Like I would really like I think he's just respectful.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. I I don't know how it'd feel if it was a few minutes. Like if it was a first date, but if it was um if we were like dating and he like had a fan tie for me, or like had like on or like something. Like, you know, something that he knew that I w might need was in like his possession. Right. That's really nice.

SPEAKER_02

Did you guys see Braxton Barrios? They sat him down. I was thinking about Alex Earl's ex-boyfriend. Oh, okay. And they sat him down and they're like interviewing, and they said they did it to other teammates. I'm like, they knew what they were doing. Yeah, yeah. He sat him down with this basket of like feminine beauty products, like all this stuff. He knew the name of every single one. There was like a know what it was. He was like, I hate myself so much right now. Like, this is like pure under eyes. And he was like, he knew every single thing, and I was like, I don't even know if I would have known what that was. No, literally. He knew them all. He was like, I'm done. He's like, Yeah, I think he thought that people were gonna take it badly, but I honestly think. No, it was really endearing that like he really pays how much attention. Yeah, Alex enough to know all this stuff, right? And he really pays attention to do when you're in a relationship. People that think interest in your partners exactly. Exactly. People in the comments were like, Alex, just call him. Just call him. Honestly, they were just stronger than me. Yeah, they were. I would go back to the show. He had a mustache in that video too. He looked really good in that. Yeah. He honestly looked better than he did when they were dating. I like a mustache. I know. But sometimes a mustache is not good on people. I mean, you didn't like it on him. No, I did, but like I don't not like it. I think it's just a little bit.

SPEAKER_01

So some people like force a mustache though, because they think it's like the trend, and it's like, hey, that's just fine. You know, like some people like can't full out grow facial hair, and it's like, and then when they try, it's like, no.

SPEAKER_02

The only time I don't like a mustache is if it's like just like a few hairs. Well that's a good thing.

SPEAKER_01

Like I don't like it's too bushy, but well, sometimes people do like a really skinny mustache, and sometimes it really fits people, and I like it. And other times I think you're doing too much. Yeah, it's like no no no no. You can't do that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Something that I don't care who you are that I hate is when it's literally your whole chin, like under here too, and it's like a lot of hair just only on your chin. Everything else is shaved. I don't like that. What are you doing? Wait, no muscle, no mustache, just chin. Oh, I know what you're talking about. I don't like that either. No, it's bad. It's really bad. No, no. I just don't understand that. There's so many different ways that men can change. I know it's kind of fun. It's like their makeup is fun. It's only fun if they can grow it though. I love facial hair. I like facial hair too. Yeah. It's just it has to be done tastefully.

SPEAKER_01

I like it clean. I don't like it. I saw these. Okay, I don't like it too cut though.

SPEAKER_02

When it's like a bushy beard and it looks like they don't maintain it. Because they make brushes, they make like stuff to like put product in it so it looks nice. But when it looks like they didn't do anything to maintain it, it's nasty. Bad. Don't like that. Don't like I don't know. Like, I I don't mind it like scruffy though. You're like when it's there's a good scrub and a big scrub. Exactly. A bad scruff also is when it's like too bare. Like there's it's like patchy. Yeah, patchy. I don't like you. Just go baby face. You look like a gamer to me, like you don't leave your house.

SPEAKER_01

And well, that's like Okay, so that's my actual nightmare. Yeah, that's patchy on their head too. It's like just commit to the ball. Do probably like better balls. Shout out Baldies once again. Yes. I can't. There's this guy. No. There's this guy in the office, and he's like, I can see through all of his hair. His hair is like so long. Why do they do that?

SPEAKER_02

It's not just because you have like hair down to your middle of your back. It's it doesn't make up for the fact that because you actually don't have any hair at top.

SPEAKER_01

He probably looks so like nice with the like just bald. Yeah. And he just holds shave on.

SPEAKER_02

It's because, yeah, they're just holding on to it. It's like, come on, you just gotta let go.

SPEAKER_01

You know.

SPEAKER_02

His butt, yeah, you're not a real friend. No, I'm like, come on. Yeah, shave it off. Shave it off. Yeah. We're down with the baldies. So we're down with the baldies. I think just get a toupee. I don't know. I'm on board with the toupees.

SPEAKER_01

I love the TikToks where it's like the toupees are like on. It changes their whole thing. It literally, yeah. And they look so good. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Send a video of a toupee to that guy in your office and say, there's still hope. Just stop with the long hair. Yeah. Either commit to the toupee or shave it off. Yeah, I'm on board with the toupees. Yeah, I like them. I'm so on board with them. Because why not? We can put extensions in, you can put a toupee on. Who gives a damn? No, literally. I don't. We get extensions, we dye our hair, we cut our hair.

SPEAKER_01

We can do like so we have so many options, but a man doing it's like shame, shame, shame. No.

SPEAKER_02

But you know who's shaming them though? It's not even women. It's the men.

SPEAKER_01

It is other men. It's like a masculine.

SPEAKER_02

Because on it, if like I saw someone's toupee fly off, like Oh no.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, what if you were on what if you were on a first date and you were like on like a boat day?

SPEAKER_02

I would feel really bad. It's flapping. See, stop. Unless they're like an asshole. Right. That that's what I was gonna say. Like if you're a nice guy, like I that's not deterring me. No, it's not deterring me. Like I'm gonna pick this up for you and we'll pretend that never happened. Yeah, somebody that I knew was seeing this guy who had like issues getting it up. And like we felt bad for him because like he was sweet and blah blah blah, and like they just wanted to like be intimate and blow. Right. And then he turned to a dick, and I was like, well, that's common. Didn't he cheat or something somehow? Something, yeah, he was not a good guy. You don't have a word like that in your soul. That's my point. Like, if you're a sweet guy, like that kind of stuff can be looked past. Like, I don't know. You can figure this out. There's modern medicine, there's toupee. But don't make me look stupid because I'm not gonna pick up your toupee. Yeah, because now you're gonna force you to cheat on me. Then I'm gonna touch my example.

SPEAKER_01

I'm not gluing this onto your head for you to cheat on me. Exactly.

SPEAKER_02

Stuff like that is really only be accessible to good people. Yeah. Wait. Otherwise, you don't get it. You know. Good point. You can't be a dick and have a toupee. It's just, it's not allowed. No, you can't. Big a struggle. Yeah. I feel very out of the dating loop, and that's where our question of the week comes in. Yeah. It's because I think we need to like, we're moving out, we're hoping to start dating again. And like there's things that like dating in high school and like dating as an adult is like so drastically different that I feel like I'm going in blind. Yeah. Wait, I actually had a question because I was talking to my mom the other day, and she was like, Yeah, like it's different with your generation. Like, there's like a talking stage. Right. And like that was a thing in high school, but I don't really know if it exists. Dating now. Um, like I guess you could call it that, but it's not like, oh, we're talking. Like it's like we're dating. I think that now it's like it's dating. Yeah, we're like seeing each other. Sound like that. You're saying in high school it's like talking stage? No, in high school. Yeah, there was like a pipeline you had to go through. You had to go through the talking stage for a couple months. It's like, no, we're not, we're not dating yet. It's not special. Yeah. Yeah, I think. And like we're seeing each other, and then once you know that you like each other, it turns into like we're dating. Like now. Okay, that's like we're going on dates and then like the talking stage is like I don't really think it's No, I feel like right now it's like you're dating.

SPEAKER_01

Dating is dating you like, right? Right.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, but dating in high school meant like, oh, they're together. Boyfriend, girlfriend. Like you're a couple. Yeah, you're a couple.

SPEAKER_01

I feel like dating versus being together is very different.

SPEAKER_02

But like if you're with so like Adam and Anna are dating. Exactly. Yeah. They're a couple.

SPEAKER_01

But you can also think dating is together.

SPEAKER_02

They're they're taking it because they're not engaged and they're not married, so they're dating. Right. I would I would say dating, but I would also use dating as I'm dating. Like actively dating, like as a verb. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. Like I'm dating different people. Right. I feel like it's just weird. I don't know if I would be I don't know if I could date multiple people. I don't know if I'd be good at that. Yeah. Really? I think I want to try. Yeah. But I think I would feel like a little bit guilty because it's like you're always gonna like one of them more. Yeah. And then it's like you're talking to the other one and maybe they like you. And then it's like I feel like I'm leading you on. But like at the same time, like I'm not sure. The whole point of dating is to be selfish though. I know. Like you have to be. You do. I think I would date multiple people at this age because I'm so scared to get locked down too quickly. It is really nerve-wracking. Yeah. So I would have to like be talking to at least two people if I'm talking to one. Yeah. I need a roster. Exactly. Because I don't want to get caught up in one. It's kind of fun though to have options. Even if it's just like on Snapchat. Exactly. I get to chat to a few people, practice my flirting. Yeah, I'm I I listen to the floor. Because they're probably doing the same thing. Yeah. Yeah. I like it too because I like to get to see your face. Because like on Hinge, I was texting this guy. This is like a while ago. And like we went right from hinge on to texting. And then it was like, I don't even know what you look like. Or like we're literally just talking to no. Like, I'm talking to me. Like, I don't know why I'm talking to you right now.

SPEAKER_00

Snapchat. Well, give me the ache immediately. Yeah, it will. And that's how you know.

SPEAKER_02

And then you ghost some. I've done that. I've actually ghosted somebody because they started snapping me and they looked nothing like their profile. I said you're crazy.

SPEAKER_01

Hey, you're ugly.

SPEAKER_02

Sorry. Exactly. That's why it's good to get the denounce. I actually I good news. Snapchat. Good news of the week. Snapchat's back. Yeah. Oh, I love this. Should we get into our question of the week? Yeah, we should. Okay, let's do it. Let's talk it over. Maybe the program I'm running ain't too fucking strict. Okay, what is the question of the week? The question was Do you enjoy first dates or do you shit your pants? I shit my pants.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I shit my pants. It depends. Because I've had a first date where I was like actually like very calm.

SPEAKER_02

That's nice. And then Is that because you're you know the person and you feel comfortable seeing them? Or just because you were like, I don't really give a damn how it goes?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. I feel like I've had one of them where it was like a friend from high school and we like went out, so like it could have been.

SPEAKER_02

Just like meeting up with an old friend.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, like it could have ended up that way or it could have been something more. So it was kind of like either way, I was fine. Well, that's nice. The other one, like I've had I've gone on like a hinge date before.

SPEAKER_02

That one, I think I would shit my pants.

SPEAKER_01

That one I was surprisingly calm for.

SPEAKER_02

Wow. I was surprisingly dating. So you, yeah, you do got on first date.

SPEAKER_01

I feel like I'm just like very comfortable with chatting.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But like I also didn't really like him that much. Right. So I felt like that. Okay, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

If I really like someone, I'm gonna be really nervous. Like that's why I was too where there's like high stakes.

SPEAKER_01

I'm like, it feels like high stakes.

SPEAKER_02

Like I'm putting you on a pedestal because I'm really interested. And you hope that they like you too. Well that right. But then it's like you have to remind yourself, like, I have to make sure I like them. Right. This is an interview. Yeah. But like, like you said, like the already knowing somebody, that almost feels like more pressure to me. Because like we already like either we're like friends in high school or like whatever. So like there already is like we know each other. So now it's like there's a different level you're trying to like shift it. Yeah. And it feels like pressure to like get over that friend hump and like that's true. I went on a first date with somebody from my high school. Like, I think I had already graduated by then, and I literally lost weight because I was shitting my pants so bad. I was so nervous. And then it's like, you just he's just a man, he's literally just a boy. But I'm like, I am so nervous because like I want to make a good first impression. Yeah, but I I feel like I can't convey my full personality through like small talk on the first date. I know. Like I just want to like be comfortable and be like talking the way I normally do. Yeah. And like I try to, but like it's hard. Yeah, it's hard.

SPEAKER_01

I don't get the flirt on on the first date. Yeah. Like I just am like so chatty. I'm not gonna learn about that. Yeah, like I'm just like seeing how they chat that like I don't know why like the flirt doesn't come out yet. Because I'm like, I don't even know if I like it.

SPEAKER_02

But even if there's like like if there's chemistry, like you don't just like naturally flirt. I feel like, yeah, like I feel like if there's chemistry, it's hard not to. That's what I mean. But also if you're like trying to put the flirt on too early, then it's like it's awkward.

SPEAKER_01

Oh god, hold on. Yeah, we're not there yet. I feel like sometimes we put the flirt on, like if we're talking out in public. Yeah, like yeah, because you have to like make it known that you're an intention that like I'm talking for a reason. Right.

SPEAKER_02

You know, I don't want to be I don't want to be just friends. Yeah, okay. Yeah, I guess going into a date where you didn't know them like a hinge date, it's like flirting might be too much. I'm actually scared of the floor. But like at a bar setting, I think flirting is like Yeah. Oh, flirting is like a necessity, right?

SPEAKER_01

I feel like it's like different where it's like the initial, like how when you're meeting. Say that again. Try to like explain. So like if I like if you first start talking to them when you're out at a bar. Okay. Or if you first start talking like over text on hinge, and then you're meeting in person.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. So I'm not sure. That's honestly more stressful for me meeting someone over the phone. Because it's like, oh, now we've like chatted a little bit. It's like now we kind of know each other's like more pressure behind it because like we know we're both going into the state, hoping we know each other. Where like if you meet at the bar, it's like, oh yeah, we kind of like connected, like we should see each other again. It's like it was more natural. Like over the phone, something about it is like there's all this like hyped up anticipation. You mean on hinge or something? Like hinge or Snapchat, like if you're just talking for like a little bit and then it's like it like I'm gonna throw up. Right. I'm scared. Yeah, wait, so you don't what did you answer? The answers were they're fun or no, I shit my pants.

SPEAKER_01

I think I still said I shit my pants. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I feel like you're good at them though. Like you go into it open-minded. Like I go into it thinking, are you my husband? Yes or no. Like I have to know the second I see you. Okay, I don't see that. Get a grip. I can't. I'm like laying here thinking about I don't think I do that. Okay, but like, if our would our families even blend together, like I don't even know.

SPEAKER_01

That is hard. But yeah, I I feel like I try to be very open-minded, and I feel like I just try to chat, and I just like really wanting to talk to someone. Because I was like sitting the other day, we're like talking about this guy, you know, in our chat, and then it's like, I'm just sitting by myself in my room. Dude, I'm just like, I know. I would be love killing me.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_01

You know, it's just like, oh, it's like we're talking about all these hypothetical what-ifs, but this is not a hot funny ha ha, what if. Yeah, this is a funny ha ha.

SPEAKER_00

You know, so it's not a joke.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it's like this is serious. Yeah, I try to be very open-minded because I want this to happen.

SPEAKER_02

I know a few people who are like really, really good on dates. Like they love it. Like they go out once a week, like I'm getting a free generation. I need to get it.

SPEAKER_01

I feel like I want that to be the case. I want that to be me too to happen. I would love to do that.

SPEAKER_02

I really need someone to ask me though. This is what I'm saying. Because I'm not initiating. I have a really careful time making the first mood because in my heart of hearts, I'm not begging you to go out. Like, I don't know. Like, if you're not looking at me and saying, Wow, you I I really I like you, like blah blah blah. Like, I'm not I'm not doing it. I feel like unless I'm getting a vibe, but like right. You are, I think.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. Because those guys was like, hey, hey, so you're hot. Yeah. But I feel like I don't know. I went through like a spill where I was like kind of nervous. That's maybe. And I wasn't. But like right now, I feel like I'm going into this era where I'm like, I don't give a damn. Yeah. I'm just gonna talk. Like, she just I feel like right now I feel like I'm just in an era to like just chat with people.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I I am in that era right now too. I'm like really craving like just flirting with someone too. Oh, cool. Okay, question though. Yeah. When I look into the eyes of somebody who I think is attractive, I don't have a single thought in my head. I can't, I I've lost my ability to chat. Are you serious? And I don't know what to say to you. I'm the opposite. I have more things to say because I'm actually interested in them and I have chemistry with them. Oh must be a little bit more than a lot of people say this for you. I do get I literally like I go blank and I'm like, what's your middle name? Like I have nothing to say. If you're getting up to someone that I didn't know, then I would be that way. But like if I'm like in a group with someone and I like like there's a vibe there, then I have no problem with it. Well, if the vibe's already there, yeah. No, you're right. Well, I still go blank. I don't know. Like, even if it's just my vibe. I like think of questions, like honestly, like if I know I'm going up, like if I know somebody who I'm interested in is gonna be like at the group that like we're hanging out with, like, I'm coming prepared with questions because I know I'm going blank. That's a good idea. So I'm trying to come prepared with stuff to ask that I want to do that. I would have to do that on a ball rolling.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah. Honestly, it feels like a first date is almost like a podcast episode. Yeah. Like you one person says something, like says a topic. This is hard when they don't ask questions back.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. That's where I get nervous that I feel like I have to carry the conversation, but it's like they're also an adult. They should be able to talk.

SPEAKER_01

That's why sometimes I struggle, and this sounds like really backhanded, like for them, but I feel like I'm really good at going on dates. Yeah, like I'm good on a date, right? Like I can chat with people because I I can just bring up random conversations. Yeah. Like I feel like guys like struggle. Like, we went out one time you were there too. When we went to the goat, and that guy was trying to chat you up. And I'm like, Oh, yeah. And he said, No, are you? It's rude.

SPEAKER_02

And then he kept asking about my tattoos, and I'm like, we're done here. How many times can we ask about it?

SPEAKER_01

Your tattoos can lead to so many conversations. Yeah. Oh, what's that one for? Oh, you like to travel? Where else have you traveled to? Where do you want to travel? No, he was like, Did that hurt?

SPEAKER_02

Like, I'm gonna get one. Is it gonna hurt? No.

SPEAKER_01

You know what's gonna hurt?

SPEAKER_02

When I punch you in the dick.

SPEAKER_01

So I feel like sometimes it's like I can have a good date with someone, but it's like, was I like good on the date?

SPEAKER_02

Or I feel like that's struggling for women. Yeah. So like I know I'm fun. So you don't come home from the date and think, oh god, I just I don't know what I just did. Like, I made myself I come home and I have anxiety. And I hadn't drunk. The last time I haven't had enough experience.

SPEAKER_01

I don't think. I've had like a few after like, you know, my main relationship in like high school. Like I've had a few dates, and I feel like the ones I've gone on are like fine, but then it's like the interactions like afterwards. It's like guys are just weird. Yeah. It's like it was a great date, and then like, why aren't you texting me?

SPEAKER_02

Well, that's what I'm saying. Like, in my head, if I see you in person and then you're not instantly messaging me, like like just like keeping a conversation going or like asking me to do something else, like you must not have had a good time. Like, I'm not I'm not no, I agree. I'm not putting it on. I've ghosted someone for not doing that. Yeah, like I'm done. Yeah. Did anybody write anything? Yes. Um, but first, 31% said they're fun, and 69% said no, I shit my pants. A lot of people are nervous. I also think it's like technology not to be like that. But like back like when like in the 90s and stuff, like you had no choice but to just like be chatting with everybody. So like that was just that wasn't scary because you were just doing that regardless. Now it's like it's it makes it so much harder.

SPEAKER_01

People think like, what if there's something better? Because of the there's too many options.

SPEAKER_02

The grass is always greener, mentality will literally kill you. It's like comparison's a bitch, like you're gonna ruin your life if your comparison is. It is. I just I just made that up. Oh no. I mean, yes, good job. Thank you. Okay, someone did say something. They said, oh, love a first date. There's no pressure either way, and a free meal. Even if you know the person before that that like if there's no chemistry. Wait, what? Even if you know the person before that like if there's no chemistry, it's fine. It's one date.

SPEAKER_01

Right. That's what it is. It's just one date.

SPEAKER_02

Right. I do agree with that. I I think I just get nervous going into it, and then I'm like, one second. I get so nervous. Unless there's awkward silences, that will make me nervous. They all make me really nervous. Then I go seriously blank and I'm like, I don't have anything else to do. My mind is like, it's not working.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I'd be pulling random shit.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, we need to we need to do an episode where we're just coming to the street. We should pretend we're on a first date.

SPEAKER_01

The hinge date I went on, like, he was going on like a Star Wars tangent. And like I was chat chatting with him.

SPEAKER_02

There's nothing I hate more than a topic that I know nothing about because I have nothing to add. I can chat about Star Wars, like I can chat about random stuff.

SPEAKER_01

Like, I feel like I know about like guy things. Like I know sports, I know this. Like, but you know what?

SPEAKER_02

It's common decency as a man that if you're going into a date with a feminine woman, yes, to maybe not bring up the fact that you've been watching the soccer game for the last two months. Like, let's talk about something that there's like common ground. Like, that would be common ground for you guys. Yeah. If you started talking about it with me, sure, I could talk about a few things. Mbappe, messy, who gives a damn? Yeah. Let's talk about Tabo. We both like that. Right. Let's talk about it in your weekend. Yeah, it's like they're not going to be able to do that.

SPEAKER_01

Like, if I if I were the one to bring up, like, hey, have you been watching the World Cup? That would be like, oh, like she knows because she clearly wants to talk about it. Right. Right.

SPEAKER_02

You know, if it's like, like, I feel like I think it's important to talk about things that like he has interest in that you might not, and like vice versa. But like the in- I'm not talking with Star Wars for three years old. I don't think it's necessary on a first date though. No, I don't think we're trying to learn about each other. Right. I don't know. I don't need to know about your special interests.

SPEAKER_01

I know I don't like you. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

You pissed me off. Somebody commented and said both.

SPEAKER_01

And you know what I'm right? Yeah. Yeah. And that's how I feel. I think it's both I think it's situational. Because like sometimes you want to shit yourself.

SPEAKER_02

And I think if you're really I think if you really like the person too, it's like different. Like if you met at the bar and you had a really good time, like you're gonna be excited. Right, yeah. Instead of nervous. Yeah. Or whatever. I actually, yeah, that happened to me with some guy I ended up dating, but I we like met at the bar and I was like so excited about him that like that's awesome. Then we he like asked me on a date, but I took like three shots and how to drink before I left. You're like, I needed to be so nervous. Yeah, yeah. And then I told him that when we were on the date, he was like, Oh, you have to drink just to hang out with me. I was like, um, wait, you're not reading the room you're supposed to say, Oh my god, I was nervous too. Yeah, literally. So just take a shot if you're nervous. Yeah. That would make my stomach hurt, I think. Yeah. Throw up. Your stomach will already hurt. My stomach already hurts right now. I'm already nervous. Oh, literally. Literally nervous. I'm gonna go on a first date. Yeah. Okay. I can't wait. You should. Thank you. We're all maybe in a different state. Cheers to first dates.
