Welcome to the Coherent Life. I'm Ty. We're going to kick back and talk about survival mode, coherence, and creating your life on purpose through real conversations about things like relationships, money, health, and the patterns that keep repeating in everyday life. If you already know that thoughts create reality, but keep getting pulled into old patterns, stress, or overwhelm, you're in the right place. I do energy healing. And depending on who you are, that either makes perfect sense or you immediately think that I'm woo-woo, or that I'm full of it. And I get that because if you're not familiar with this work, it can sound like something that isn't real, or even something that's bad or dark or frowned upon, which is interesting because historically, that's exactly what was said about indigenous healing practices when colonizers were trying to erase them. So today I want to talk about it, what it is to me, and what I actually do. And if you've ever felt like something has been put on you, like something outside of you is affecting you, I'm gonna say this now and we'll unpack it together through the episode. It's not a curse, it's what you've been carrying. I didn't come to this work from curiosity. I came to it because I needed it. But also, if I'm really honest, this didn't start when I officially learned it. This started way before that. When I was younger, people in my family would tell me I had healing hands and I didn't think anything of it. I wasn't trained, I didn't know what energy healing was, but I would sit with people and I would put my hands on them and intuitively massage areas where they were in pain and they would feel relief. At the time, I didn't question it, it just felt normal. And then later in life, everything started to feel like it was collapsing. I was struggling with severe asthma to the point where I couldn't breathe and my medication wasn't working. I was in a toxic, codependent relationship, financially struggling and navigating having a parent with addiction. I was definitely in survival mode. And at that time, I knew about the law of attraction. So I was trying to think my way into better situations, but my body was not on board. And there was a moment where I literally could not breathe. My inhaler was not working. My aunt had been recently attuned to Reiki level two, so I texted her and asked her to please send me some healing energy. She did, and I could breathe again. That was the moment everything clicked, and I knew I needed to learn energy healing, not just for me, but because many people I loved were in pain, and I wanted to be able to help them the way my aunt helped me. Energy healing, the way I practice it, is working with the body's innate intelligence to restore balance. When I say energy, I'm talking about vibration, frequency, the underlying layer of everything. Your thoughts, your emotions, your body, your nervous system, it's all connected. And one of the modalities I use is the emotion code, which is based on this understanding. Emotions are energy. And when we experience something intense and don't have the capacity to fully process it, that energy can get stuck. And when it's stuck, it doesn't just disappear, it becomes a pattern. It affects your nervous system, your reactions, your capacity, your baseline state. So when we release that energy, what happens is the system becomes more coherent. There's better communication in the body, more access to clarity, more space to actually choose. Choose what? Your thoughts, feelings, and actions. Why do I think energy healing is an essential part of the healing process? Because change requires access. And when I say access, I mean access to parts of yourself that are not available when you're overwhelmed. Access to your thinking. Access to your ability to pause instead of react. Access to options instead of feeling like there's only one way to respond. Because when your system is overwhelmed and dysregulated, your brain is not operating the same way. You are in survival mode. And in survival mode, your focus narrows. Your body is trying to protect you. So it prioritizes speed over clarity, familiar patterns over new choices. Which means even if you know what to do, you cannot access it. That's the gap people fill. I know better, but I am not doing better. Because your system does not feel safe enough to choose something different. So when we talk about access, we are talking about returning your system to a state where choice is actually available, where your prefrontal cortex is online, where your body is not in fight or flight, where you can pause and decide. Energy healing helps create that access. By releasing what is stored, your system settles. And when your system settles, you get your options back. As a shaman, something I see a lot is people come to me thinking something external is happening to them. They think they're cursed, they think they have a spiritual attachment. And what I actually find many times is that they're carrying emotional weight that has never been processed. Sometimes it's theirs, sometimes it's inherited. Sometimes there's what's called a heart wall, which is layers of emotional protection built over time. And all of that lowers your baseline coherence. And when your baseline is lower, you're more frequently in survival mode. So you feel more stuck, more reactive, more vulnerable. And it can feel like something is happening to you when really it's something you've been carrying around in your body. Recently, I had a client come to me thinking someone close to them put a curse on them. And when someone comes to me with that, this is where my psychic work comes in. So I can tune in and ask their guides what's really going on. And if there are any attachments, we clear those. But most commonly, it's not a curse. It's what they've been carrying. In this case, it was emotional baggage, trapped emotions, inherited trapped emotions, and a heart wall. All of that had been building over time, and those trapped emotions became burdensome. And they also became more vulnerable points because a curse doesn't work against someone who does not give consent. Free will is the name of the game. So you have to believe in a curse's ability to harm you and give consent to it affecting you. But if you have a lot of trapped emotions, your frequency is lower. You become more vulnerable to what people would call negative forces. So what felt like something external was actually something internal that hadn't been processed. And as we release that, they felt noticeably different, lighter. They said it was hard to describe, but they no longer felt affected by what they thought was a curse. And that's something I see a lot. People think that something has been put on them when really it's emotional baggage they've been carrying. And that baggage doesn't just show up emotionally, it can show up physically too. Another example, I worked with someone who had a recurring ankle injury for years, and after several sessions, they texted me and said they danced for three days. Three days, and their ankle felt great. Something they had been wanting to do, but were afraid of re-injuring themselves. This is what happens when systems shift. And this is where my work is different, because this is not just energy healing, this is where it connects to stop, drop, create coherence. When you release trapped emotions, you create more capacity, you move out of fight or flight more easily. And now you actually have access to your thinking again. Your prefrontal cortex comes back online. And now mindset coaching works better. Now you can choose different thoughts, different actions, and different results. If you only release energy but keep thinking the same thoughts, you'll still get pulled back into the same patterns. That's why I combine both, because releasing trapped emotions creates capacity, but what you do with that capacity matters. So we're not just creating relief, we're creating change. We release what's been stored in the body, and then we look at how you're thinking, how you're responding, and what you're choosing. So you're not just feeling better, you're actually living differently. And we keep working together until your patterns change, your responses change, and your results change. If any of you are still listening that might think this sounds woo-woo, this is ancient knowledge. It has been practiced long before it was dismissed and stigmatized. Something else people new to energy work often ask is how does this work over the phone or at a distance? Everything is energy and intention directs energy. Sometimes people ask, what if I don't feel anything? That's okay. You don't need to feel something in the moment for there to be a shift. Stay open, watch your life, and see what happens. This question comes up a lot too. Do I have to believe in it? Belief is important in any endeavor because what you believe you achieve. But consent is more important than belief in this case. If you consent to the energy healing, you're at least open to it. Belief can grow from there. Before this work, people often believe something is wrong, something that they don't quite understand. After this work, they start to see something different. Nothing has gone wrong, and they have the ability to respond, to choose, to be who they want to be in any situation. And this is where it connects to everything I teach. You are a creator in a real grounded way, moment by moment, through what you choose to think, feel, and do.
