Welcome to the Coherent Life Untide. We're going to kick back and talk about survival mode, coherence, creating your life on purpose through real conversations about things like relationships, money, health, and the patterns that keep repeating in everyday life. If you already know that thoughts create reality, but keep getting pulled into old patterns, stress, or overwhelm, you're in the right place. I think some people are really confused about manifestation. Like they think it's this fully mystical process when in reality, we are manifesting all of the time. And while there is definitely an element of mysticism, we are creating every moment of every day. And what I love about cognitive behavioral therapy is that it explains this really well in a practical way. Your thoughts shape how you feel, how you feel drives what you do, and what you do creates your results. That's manifestation. Because even if you have the right thought, even if you know what to do, if your body is still in survival mode, you can only think, feel, and act from that state. When your nervous system is in survival mode, your brain is prioritizing safety over possibility. You're operating more from the part of your brain that's scanning for threat, not the part that helps you make clear decisions, plan, and take intentional action. So even if you're trying to think positive or take aligned action, your system is limited to focusing on staying alive in what it perceives as a life or death situation. And that's where I see people get stuck. They're like, I know what to do, but they can't break from the pattern. And this is where energy healing comes in handy because it helps address what we cannot see: emotional baggage, energy blocks, transgenerational trauma. So instead of trying to think your way out of something, you're actually releasing what's in the way of you thinking more sustainable thoughts. And when I say emotional baggage and energy blocks, I mean that literally. Trapped emotions, inherited trapped emotions, heartwall emotions, all unprocessed emotions that were protective at one point. One thing I see a lot is defensiveness as trapped emotion around the heart, which makes sense because I work with a lot of marginalized individuals, people who have experienced real harm, real trauma, and real safety concerns. So to have trapped defensiveness around the heart is a protection mechanism. It's a nervous system response. And that response is intelligent. It has helped people survive. But what I also see is that when someone is trying to be hopeful about what they want and vulnerable enough to receive it, trapped defensiveness can cancel that out because your system can't fully do both at the same time. And this is where manifestation and nervous system work intersect. Sometimes people don't even know that they're in survival mode because they're so used to it. They think they're completely fine. But if we hook them up to a device that measures coherence, they see that their coherence level is low. Your default state of being is your baseline. And if your baseline is defensiveness, for example, your system is in a constant fight to stay alive state. You don't have access to thoughts of thriving. You only have access to thoughts of survival. And those thoughts create results of just getting by. The brain can't see beyond the current struggle. And there are thoughts rooted in emergency. And when those are the dominant thoughts, your life becomes about putting out fires, not creating anything new. And this is where I think people misunderstand manifestation. They try to think abundant thoughts or visualize what they want to receive, but their nervous system is still braced, still guarded, and still protecting. So the new thought doesn't land because the body is still holding on to the need to defend. And until that shifts, the range of thoughts available to you is limited. But when someone feels safer, when the body is no longer bracing in the same way, they gain access to different thoughts. Thoughts that create hope instead of defeat. Thoughts that create belief in what's possible. Thoughts like, maybe this could work out, maybe I'm safe to try. Maybe something better is possible. Maybe I'm worth it. And this is the start to manifesting something new. And I've seen this especially with people who logically know what to do or what they want, but still something isn't shifting into place. And a lot of the time in those instances, there is still something there, something that the body is holding on to. And when we find it in energy healing sessions, people almost always say that really resonates. They already know what they have trapped in their body and energy field. And so when we identify it, they really relate. And what surprises people the most is how simple the process is to remove them. I describe it as anticlimactic because we identify the trapped emotion, we release it, and then it's gone. And many times they can feel the release, and I can too. I typically feel a sense of relief, and my body naturally takes a long, slow, deep breath when we're releasing trapped energy. My clients tell me that they feel a sense of relief. They feel tingling, they feel relaxed, they feel lighter after we've released the trapped energy. And almost every time people feel different. And every single time people leave more vital. Because once your thoughts shift, your feelings shift, your actions shift, your results start to shift. But the reason that shift can actually happen is because the body is no longer holding the same level of resistance. And that's what I mean when I talk about coherence. In manifesting culture, we hear that we have to align with what we want to bring it into our lives. And what I've learned is that this is all very practical. Alignment is when your thoughts, your feelings, and your actions are all working towards the same results. And this is why I combine coherence, energy healing, and CBT. Because CBT helps you identify the thoughts that are creating your results. And energy healing helps clear what your body and energy system are still holding so the new thought can actually land. When people get used to creating coherence, creating thoughts on purpose and taking consistent action from those thoughts, that's when manifestation stops being an abstract idea and starts being something they're actually living.
