The Beautifully Broken Conference 2026 is officially in the history books, and so many cool things happen there. Let's discuss that. This is the Topher Brown Show. Hey everybody, welcome back to the Topher Brown Show. Appreciate you tuning in and watching or listening wherever you're doing those things from. We appreciate you joining us today. If you recall back to a few episodes ago, we had a special guest on to talk about something called Beautifully Broken Ministries. And we had talked about a conference that was coming up in June. Well, it is now July, so the conference is behind us. And we're going to talk about all those things that went on at the conference, so many good things today. And we might have a guest back to talk about those things. But before we get into any of that, got to throw it over to my co-host, Mr. Dick Smith. He's in the control room. Hello there, buddy. Howdy, howdy, America. How's life treating you?

Busy enough? Oh, pretty busy. All kinds of stuff in the books for the last couple of weeks. And apologies for uh, I mean, we've we've kind of been absent a lot over the summer.

Yeah.

We've missed a few episodes.

But man, that's just kind of like a summer thing. Like, you know, our kids are home, and so a lot of our time goes to that. And of course, for Nick and I, who gig a lot, gigs pick up during the summer. Uh, they fall off during the fall and winter, though, boy. Let me tell you about that.

Yeah. And then we added uh we got to add the the youth trip.

SPEAKER_05 1:41

Yeah.

Um, we took our center point youth to Knoxville to the Generate Conference, which was great. Uh, I think we had a lot of students that uh got some good messages out of that and uh brought home a lot of wisdom. Uh very, very, very happy to see that.

Um man, you're just a natural-born chaperon, I think. Uh we should contract you for all of the youth trips uh coming coming up, coming up the pipeline.

You know, I I did enjoy it. I'm not gonna lie. Um maybe I don't want to go to all of them, but I I definitely have no problem with with volunteering from time to time. It was fun.

Yeah, that's great. Man, I remember going to youth uh camps as a as a youth, and uh it was like the highlight of my entire summer every single year. I bet. Like just uh Gulf Shore Baptist Assembly. That's the one. That's the one we went to. Yeah, GBA. Yeah, and what's crazy about that is I went there as a student, you know, several times. And um the very I think the second to last or very last time or both there was a uh camp counselor there, uh, and her name was Crystal, and um got to be good friends with her, her she uh got to be good friends with our whole youth group and so on and so forth. And fast forward like 20 years later, and she winds up in Brookhaven and she was the the uh youth minister at Clear Branch Baptist Church for a many, many years. And uh just so cool to reconnect with her in that way. But um she's a first Baptist Brookhaven now, but uh shout out to Crystal Stringer. What's up, girl? What up, Crystal Springer? Um so anyway, we uh we we brought a special guest back back to the show. Yes, this guest is returning. Um, and uh because we we needed uh debrief uh from our beautifully broken conference, women's conference that took place um just a few weeks ago. And so to help us kind of get into all the details, we've got Miss Stephanie Bullock back in the hot seat over here.

Several. So but anyway, welcome back. Thank you. Um thanks for coming and dedicating uh uh an afternoon to this, taking off work or whatever it is you had to do, move stuff around. Um, all right, so when you were here the first time, we talked about your ministry, Beautifully broken, and we were getting ready, you were getting ready to put on a conference, a women's conference. And uh I was getting ready because you uh so generously asked me to be a part of it in terms of the music. Uh hopefully that wasn't a not a regretted decision. We'll we'll we'll discover today whether it was or not. But um so we did it. We did, we got it done, it's in the rear view. All right, and just like straight up off the top of your hearthead emotions, are you glad it's done or do you want to go back? Well, how do you feel?

Well, uh first of all, it was flawless, and that's all glory to God. Um if there were issues, I am not aware of them. And um, yes, we I am glad it's done, but not in the sense of like, oh, I'm glad that's over. Um glad in the sense that it was flawless and God did move and God did change some hearts and do some things. So um just an amazing, amazing time. But but now we get to, you know, okay, now what's next? And so, you know, it's a good, I'm glad it's over, because now it's like, okay, well, let's move to the next things. And it achieved the things that we wanted it to achieve. So, and and God is God was all in that.

All right. So that that's a great segue. What is it that you were trying to achieve?

SPEAKER_03 6:21

So we really wanted people to be able to come and we wanted the people that were gonna be on the stage to be able to speak of what the Lord had done in their lives. Um, I was uh very strategic uh in listening to God, but he I guess he was very strategic in who he wanted on that stage um to talk about the things that that the people in the room needed to hear. Um, because he didn't give me those people back to back. Like I really had to pray about that. And he kind of gave them to me in in segments. Um, but then as a team, we really prayed that God would bring people in the room that needed to be free from things, whether it's free from anger or maybe it was free from addiction. Um, maybe it was that they needed to um to think about who they needed to give forgiveness to. Um maybe they're dealing with a family member that is in addiction and they needed to learn how to love those people through what they're going through to see some people on the other side of those things. Um, so we we were hoping that people in the room would um not only experience deliverance but freedom and and breakthroughs. Um we also knew that there'd be people in the room that needed to feel worthy and just know who God created them to be.

Um I I remember Melita Martin spoke, and one of the things that she felt led to speak about when she first got up there, because she had no notes and she did amazing, was you know, she said, I hear people say all the time, I wish I had a testimony. You you do have a testimony. Yep. Everybody has a testimony, but there's so many people, so many Christians that feel like, well, I've never been in addiction or I've never had an affair, I've never killed anybody, I've never um whatever, you fill in the blank. And so I don't really have a testimony.

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03 8:20

Well, yeah, if God saved you and and delivered you from just being sinful and you became a child of his, that's a testimony in and of itself.

SPEAKER_01 8:29

Yeah, no doubt.

SPEAKER_03 8:30

Because you can look back at where you might be had you not accepted Christ and took him into your heart and tried to then begin living a life worthy of him. Um, and that's a testimony in and of itself. And so um, you know, I I feel like God did a really good job of putting the right people on stage to hear. Um, there was something for everyone in the room to hear.

No doubt, even me, one of the very few men who are in the room. Um, man, the Lord did uh spoke to me in brand new ways, which is really cool.

Okay.

Uh to be a part of a women's conference as a man.

SPEAKER_02 9:06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05 9:07

And to uh and for the Lord to show up like that. Um now I will say this, you know, it was a it was an excellent, wonderful experience for me, even in the midst of super girly decorations and pink everything, pink lights and uh, you know, chandeliers, right, and chandelier hanging from the ceiling and all the things. Uh but and and then you made me wear a pink shirt.

And then I made you wear a pink shirt. So so so let me talk about that for a second because originally even last year, so this was our second year to do the women's conference, but even last year we wanted decorations to be simple but but still create an environment. Definitely and this year which you did.

Like that was it was pretty cool to see our little church transform into that.

SPEAKER_03 9:57

Yes. Well, thank you. Um, and so this year moving to a larger space, I immediately was challenged with and overwhelmed with the how in the world are we gonna decorate this large room to create an environment and an atmosphere like what we did last year.

Yeah.

But can I just tell you the connections and the favor that were in that room that God gave us? The people that just came and said, Hey, you know, I have a whole um container in my yard organized of decorations. Come look.

That's crazy.

SPEAKER_03 10:40

And use what you want. Down to she, she even had lights, stage lights that I asked you if we needed to borrow, which we did not. Thank goodness. Um, you had those or Marvin had those, somebody had them. To the backdrop that we used was a friend of someone that goes to our church that allowed us to use that. Um, of course, the the civic center had the tables and the chairs, the tablecloths were donated, the decorations on the table were donated.

The drapes around the room.

The drapes around the room were donated. I mean, I did ask to borrow those, but it was a yeah, of course you can.

Right. And you you said something to me. You was like, you never know till you ask. That's it. Which is like so that that's that's a lesson all in itself. But I but just for the people that are listening who don't know what we're talking about, the Civic Center here in town is kind of just um it's just a big multi-purpose room. Yeah, cinder block based warehouse-esque gray, you know. Yeah, so they literally covered the entire room in black sheet, like clothes.

So all of the outer walls, so it's just one big square room, and so the walls around are like cinder blocks, and I think they're gray. It may be beige, I don't know. They're just a neutral color. We we were able to get black curtains and drapes, and and they they they've been used in that room before, so we knew they fit and we knew we had enough. And this organization allowed us to use them and and create a whole different space in there. When I went to pick them up, I had gotten brave enough to also ask this organization if I could borrow the really pretty black shears and their chandelier to hang in the middle. And they were like, of course, sure. Wow, you can. You can. And I just thought, wow. So it just we were able to create a space that the ladies could come in and just feel um at peace and feel good.

And look, from from having done lots of stuff in that room, the way that it was transformed just by the decor alone, like it was a totally different room. There was a different vibe. There was it was a different look. Uh, it gave me a whole lot of ideas, like, what else could we do up in here? Right. Like if we got if we got all this stuff, what else could we what else can we do in this room? Uh so we may be hollering at your husband, uh, who runs it, by the way, to uh to facilitate some of that. But um, yeah, I thought it was absolutely amazing the way that it came together. I remember going in there to set up on that Thursday, and you had a whole host of men in there hanging curtains and chandeliers and everything else.

And that's the other thing, and that's how I just know that we're doing what God has asked us to do because I do question it sometimes. Um, you know, I just because anyway, that's uh I'm not gonna go down that rabbit trail right now, but I do question things sometimes. And for us to open the doors at nine o'clock on Thursday, and the amount of people that came through there on Thursday, the amount of women, men, and men that are self-employed, self-employed and do their own work, and yes, they're their own boss, but they took off to help decorate that day for a women's conference. For a women's conference. They went and got scaffolding, which was also donated by a business in town when they told them what they needed the scaffolding for. Um, they said, Oh, you know, let us donate this. Y'all take it, keep it all weekend, you can bring it back Monday morning. And and God was just in that.

Amazing.

So, you know, they went and got that, they brought that, they did, they hung all of the black curtain, the guys, all of the curtains, the shears, the chandelier, everything. I mean, they were there half a day or a little over. And then as soon as the conference was over, and not to mention all the ladies that were there to help too.

Yes.

But then it's I mean, the minute the conference was over, it's like the men were all outside just waiting.

SPEAKER_05 14:52

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03 14:52

And as soon as the conference was over, they came in, they had scaffolding out, we were taking tables and chairs down.

SPEAKER_05 14:57

I think I counted, I think I I looked at the clock, it was an hour and a half. So an hour and a half after the conference ended, the last everything was down attendee left, that room was completely normal again.

And we were out of there and locking the doors at um an hour and 50 minutes, 5-0. An hour and 50 minutes, we were locking the doors and working.

Yes, just all hands on deck, all hands on deck.

SPEAKER_03 15:21

So even just the people that were just so willing to help, yeah. You know, that's when I know that God's in it because I don't like to ask for help. Yeah, um, I can pretty much do anything myself, whatever, maybe not fix a broken pipe, but I can do just about anything by myself.

Anything you set your mind to.

SPEAKER_03 15:39

Anything, yeah. And so asking for help and then and then just to see it was very humbling, and just to see then the men that I knew worked for a living every day on the on the clock. Like I have to work today to make money, and I'm choosing to not work today to help you. I'm not making any money today, yeah, but I'm here helping this ministry. Uh, that was very, very humbling.

That's cool. Yeah, absolutely. Uh our our guys and girls definitely stepped up in that way. They did. Um, how many? So let's let's look at 2024 versus or 2025 versus 2026. How many you had was it wasn't even a hundred ladies at the first one, right?

SPEAKER_03 16:17

Yeah, we we sold 100 tickets at the first at the first conference and I had about 15 volunteers. Gotcha.

SPEAKER_05 16:23

They were all what do we what was our numbers this time? This go round.

SPEAKER_03 16:26

This go-round we had 150 tickets sold, and I had around 35 volunteers.

Yeah.

So um, you know, it was not quite double, but but all my little space we had. We absolutely couldn't have done it in the church again. Right. And I and we knew that last year, so we knew we had to be in a bigger space. Now, I would have loved to have had 200 ladies. Um, that was my goal, but God had it there who he wanted there.

No doubt. No doubt. And you mentioned that it it it was it was flawless, and that's true. Like I I've rarely been, and you would know more about the behind the scenes stuff for this particular one than me, but I've rarely been a part of something like that where something didn't go wrong. And that's not to say that stuff wasn't happening behind the scenes, like there were there were wrenches being thrown trying to be thrown in, trying to be thrown in. But it didn't work, but it didn't work that like every single roadblock that popped up, we either just went over it or we just sidestepped it.

Well, for example, Victoria had a flat tire.

One of our singers, one of our worship leaders.

SPEAKER_03 17:35

Um, Saturday morning, and um, and one of our guys, or two of our guys, I don't know how many, went to the hotel, helped her get it changed, and got her to the conference. And so you just switched the set a little bit. Nobody knew any different.

Matter of fact, she walked up for like the last couple songs.

SPEAKER_03 17:54

She did. She did. And um, and we j we just pivoted. So, but to me, that wasn't an issue. Right. It was just a we're just gonna keep going.

SPEAKER_05 18:03

And kudos to you because I know how uh organized you like to be, and I know how uh throwing a wrench in the plan sometimes gets me what can that what that can do to you. And I remember walking in the kitchen that morning, I said, Okay, we got a got a small issue. Don't freak out, but here's what's going on. We got a flat tire, we're gonna have to swap and the song, and and this is the enemy, this is the enemy's tactics, right? This is what he does. Um the song that we needed to switch was the theme song of the conference for the whole conference that Victoria led. Victoria led it. She's the only one that could lead it.

Correct.

I mean, let's be real about that.

Correct.

Um, and here we go. Like we gotta now we've got to take that song out of rotation for.

Were you scared to come tell me?

SPEAKER_05 18:52

No, I wasn't scared. I I knew that um you and I have a uh have a a a good enough working relationship that you know it'll be fine. We we'll we'll fix it, you know. I trust you, you trust me. We we got it. But um I was I was anticipating a reaction, yeah, for sure. But you were like, okay, all right. And I was like, okay, we got this, we can do this. Okay, we could do this.

What did you do with Stephanie?

SPEAKER_05 19:20

Yeah, where is she? We've known my friend. Um but uh like you said, like it just it just worked. Like even us having to pivot and do some stuff like that, it just simply worked. Even down to the to the end where you wanted me to play something I didn't know I was supposed to play, and then it was just like, okay, let's just let's just do it. Yep, let's just do it. And we did it. It was great. Uh but here's what here's what what I experienced the most of there. Like true, absolute, genuine, heartfelt worship happened in that room.

Well, and and so that uh that has to do with the team you put together. And I'm very thankful for the team that you put together. And you had some wrenches thrown too. You had some people that had to bow out at the last minute for different reasons, and so you you were able to still move forward with what you had, which uh was an all was an all-girl band besides you, right? Um, who identified as a woman that day, I guess. I guess well you did put a pink shirt on me, so I guess you know I was we even had a girl drummer, which I was which was so cool because I've um she's the same age as my my baby child. I say baby child, he's 18. Um, she had uh just graduated, valedictorian of her class, she was my neighbor for seven years, so like I knew her. And I remember when you told me she was gonna be a part of the team, but you didn't say what she was doing. And I said, What what exactly is she doing? Because I didn't know. And you said, Oh, she's the drummer. And I went, Wow. And she did an amazing job. An amazing job. I was so glad that she was up there. But to but to to bring in the type of worship that y'all brought in has to do with the team that you put together.

No doubt. And well, and and that's not a credit to Topher Brown because look, the original version of that the team that I wanted looked nothing like that.

Nothing.

SPEAKER_05 21:16

No, nothing like that. I uh I had a couple of the of the people that were up front were or who I planned on having there, but there were others that I had to kind of shift around and put in place because of ranches being thrown in the plan. While all along that was the Lord's plan.

That is correct.

SPEAKER_05 21:33

All along, and it couldn't have happened any other way.

SPEAKER_03 21:35

No, and because the team that was there was just phenomenal. I mean, amazing. And I remember telling you, I just I would love to have an all girl band, but if it doesn't work out that way, I want all women on the front singing. I want a powerhouse, like bring the fire type of atmosphere. And I gave you two songs in the beginning and I said, build around that. I threw a third one in, which I don't think we went. Up playing.

Oh, then we did.

But it's fine, it's no big deal. And it worked. It worked. Yeah. Um, you're off the hook this time. And you know, I even I wanted people to be free in their worship, whether their worship was standing there and just singing, or whether their worship was raising their hands and speaking in tongues, which we had happen, which I did panic for a second, but the Lord gave an interpreter and everything worked out. Um, an interpreter that that's never even interpreted before. And she said, But the Holy Spirit just told me to come up here and say this. And I said, Okay, grab a mic, say it. And so, you know, I wanted people to worship freely, and I wanted the worship to be able to um compliment the speakers enough that women that their hearts were were pricked, that their hearts were opened, that their eyes were opened. And that's exactly what happened. And I remember um one of the ladies walking in, well, one of the speakers, um, Pastor Andrea Reed, she she came to me and she said, wait a minute, I walked in and I'm looking on stage and I'm like, these are all the people from the 250th governor's America celebration from last weekend. And I'm like, Yeah, girl, God is all up in this. And um, so yeah, there were one, two, three, four of you that were a part of the governor's 250th celebration the weekend before. And I just looked at her and I said, That's God's favor, girl. Yeah, that is God's favor and connections. Like, yes. And um, so that for those listening, hopefully that gives you an idea of the people that were on that stage. And again, it is not a credit for Tofer or I, it is literally a credit to what what God has done. And Victoria and I, I feel like have become really great friends. Yeah.

Which I knew that you guys would. Like as soon as uh I think I tagged you on something on Facebook months and months ago. You did and said, beautifully broken conference.

SPEAKER_03 24:00

Yep. Yep.

SPEAKER_05 24:01

And I could because I knew it, whatever, whatever that post was, whatever she was doing or saying, I was like, Victoria's gotta be involved here.

Yep.

And I think I think actually uh Allison, because Victoria wound up being on a panel discussion, and I think Allison approached her kind of last minute and said, I don't know what it is, but the Lord told me you gotta be on this panel.

SPEAKER_03 24:23

That's correct. We so that was another pivot. Our panel did not pan out the way we wanted it to at all. God kept changing that and changing that and changing that. And um, and in the end, after the fact, I realized we had the wrong Lacey on the stage. It was supposed to be um Lacey Barfoot, and it turned and we put Lacey Awobity up there, which was one of the speakers, which is fine. Yeah, but even afterwards, I was like, oh, wait. And I didn't even realize it in the time, but that's because that must be what the Holy Spirit.

She spoke a word up there.

SPEAKER_03 24:53

That's what the Holy Spirit needed.

SPEAKER_05 24:55

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03 24:55

And so, yes, um, Victoria was a last minute, hey, you're supposed to be up there.

SPEAKER_05 25:00

And she spoke a word.

SPEAKER_03 25:01

She did.

SPEAKER_05 25:02

I mean, it was just like it was so cool for me because I've known Victoria for a long time, and and the way that we're connected is through music and through our covered stuff that we do. Yep. Victoria is a big part of that, and so I I because I know Victoria's heart and where she's come from and what the Lord's done in her life in like the past just short years, uh, I knew that that she would be a perfect fit for this, as well as the other ladies that led. Like it, like when I say the Lord put that together the way that it was supposed to be, undeniable. Yes, undeniable the way it worked. Everybody just meshed.

Yes.

We're talking about people who have never met before. Some of them have never met before.

SPEAKER_02 25:41

Never.

SPEAKER_05 25:42

The first time that some of them met were at rehearsal on Thursday night before the conference.

SPEAKER_02 25:46

That's right.

SPEAKER_05 25:47

Um, the Lord just worked it out in the way that he was that it was always meant to work out. But going back to my my statement about the flawless thing, because that's the this the point that I wanted to make was because it went the way that it went, I don't think you're gonna have problems selling 200 tickets next to 200 tickets next year. I just I don't foresee because the level of I and I use this this word loosely, production that y'all were able to do, whether it's from the the the band, the music, the lighting, the decor, the food. Oh my gosh. The level that you guys, the level that you were able to do this um was it was such a professional level that I've been to conferences, I've never been to a women's conference, but I've been to conferences on bigger scales than this, and a lot of them just pale in comparison to what you guys were able to pull off with the limited resources that you had to do it.

Correct. And you are about the 50th person to say that. And and women that do go to conferences nationally said the same, some of the same stuff. And I don't say that in a boastful type of way.

Definitely.

SPEAKER_03 27:00

Um, it literally is the Lord, it's what He's told me to do. It's so I'm just being obedient. And it was it's just affirmation and confirmation for me when these ladies come and say, Listen, I've been to conferences all over, and this is one of, if not the best, I've ever been to. People said that last year, people have said it again this year, different people. And honestly, first and foremost, it couldn't be done without us being totally in line with what the Lord and the Holy Spirit tells us to do.

Right.

And and listening to every step of the way with him. But then the team I have also, my core team, they killed it.

Seven people, they knocked it out of the seven people.

SPEAKER_03 27:43

And one of them doesn't even live here, so she has to zoom in or FaceTime in, whatever we have access to at the time. Um, one of them was pregnant the whole planning season and had a three-week old at the conference. At the conference. Yeah. So I mean, you know, it's it's and and that team was with me last year. And it's it with the exception of of Tristan, the one that had a baby, but she was at the conference last year and we brought her on based on some stuff. And so I couldn't do it without them.

And that's another reason I believe that things were so flawless because they all had roles and responsibilities and they did them, and they did them well, and they were good stewards of what the Lord was giving us and the connections in that room with just those people when we first started planning is is how we got to where we were, and suggestions. Well, what have you thought about this? Well, why don't you ask about this? Well, what about that? You know, I'm not sure that asking about the curtains and the shears and the chandelier didn't come from a meeting in that room with somebody else. Sure said, Hey, don't they do something here? Shouldn't you ask them? I I'm not sure that it didn't come from them. So, you know, the team that God has given me. And one of the things when when I was prophesied over and given this vision, which still is crazy to me, that you're now doing it. Yes. Um, well, that even that even I was prophesied over, you know, that you're not everybody gets prophesied over, but one one of the things that I was told was, I will bring them to you, you will not have to go find them. And I didn't really know what that meant at the time, but now I think, you know, not only does it mean the team, yeah, the volunteers, but also the women, the women that God is bringing for us to minister to. Yeah. Um, and so, you know, that's that's really cool to watch unfold as well.

Yeah. Um, I referenced the food. Holy smokes. I the the first, I think it was the the first night is in the charcuterie.

I walked out and it looked like a like medieval feast on the table. That there was literally like fruit falling off of the table because they couldn't get it to fit all on there. There was so much food, like, and there was like pepperonis and stuff. I've never eaten so much pepperoni and salami in my entire I think that's all I ate that first night was pepperoni. Like it it was it blew my mind. Like I haven't I haven't seen a spread like that in quite some time, and all of the subsequent meals after that were all just as good. And so um, golly, you y'all knocked it out of the park on that too. But I just from those experiences, um, and then you know, not to mention the testimonies that you have.

Yeah.

Um some of those testimonies that I heard blew me away. Like I have some of those people I know, some most of them I don't know, but the ones that I know, their stories, I had no idea. And just the just things of of miraculous nature, God bringing them what should have been death, correct, brought them out of it. Yes, just knocked my socks off. Absolutely incredible.

So the goal with the the testimonies, and I called I called them our overcomers, um, was that I didn't want I didn't want all of the testimonies to be in of the same nature. You know, we we are a church um with celebrate recovery. We have a lot of recovering addicts in our church, people that have that are have been in recovery for years. Um I didn't want I had a plethora of those, but I didn't want them all to be addiction testimonies. And so I struggled with that for a while, and I just continued to pray and I was like, God, just I want, I want different up there. And so um little by little, you know, finding an addiction testimony was easy.

Yeah.

Um, I battled with who exactly for a while, but then God said, This is this is who. Um, and then just he would reveal different people to me at different times. And you know, I say different people at different times. I I don't believe I had anybody tell me no. So in the end, those were the original five, and they all said yes. Um, all but one of them has net has never given their testimony in public like that.

Wow, really? That's surprising to me.

Because they did so well.

Yeah, right.

Yes. So Melita is the only other one that has given her testimony at that magnitude before, um, but it had been years since she had given it again. Um, and then you had um Grayson Smith, we had Tasha Moore, April Davis, and Jamie Newell. None of them had given their testimony ever in public before.

Wow, I can't, that's hard to believe.

And so I knew early on, once they agreed, um, and all of them wanted to be reluctant. All five wanted to be reluctant. Sure. But by the time we would get through talking, they would say, you know what? No, God's telling me I'm supposed to do this. And so, so that was another affirmation that I knew that God given had given me the right people. I was talking to the right people. But um, because those uh the four had never given their testimony in public, um, one of the things that I promised them was, I said, I will help you. I need you to just write it. Just sit down and write. Just write it. It doesn't have to be perfect. Start from the beginning and go and then go back and read it again and add stuff in. And then I met with all of them about twice, two different times, where we would sit down and we would go through and I would give suggestions or um some uh correct a couple of things, or maybe I had with Grayson I had to help her to really tell the story.

Um, one thing I did not want, I did not want to just gloss over and generalize what they had been through. Sure. One of the things with Beautifully Broken that God has said it from the beginning is we are very, we're gonna be very raw and real. Yeah. And if we need to give a trigger warning, we will. Or if we need to give a disclaimer, we will. But we're not gonna beat around the bush with the details. Right. Um, in to a degree, because I need people to feel the emotion. I need them to, because to me, that is what the Holy Spirit uses to break people sometimes. And so I I had to drag that out of some of them, not not all of them, but some of them, just to help them tell the story to the level that it I felt like it needed to be told. And so, but man, they I don't know if you noticed or not, but and I and I sat on the fronts, I couldn't see anybody behind me. But after as soon as each one of them was done, man, I was standing up, giving them a standing ovation because let me tell you, if and you can hear all of these stories. I think I've I've got one more to upload to YouTube, but um, you can hear all of these on our YouTube channel. Um, I'll eventually have them back in for a podcast session as well. We're we're doing clips and and reels on Facebook now. I'm I'm kind of getting all of that out there now, but you can go listen to them. And I am telling you, when you hear their stories, you will know what I am talking about. And the way they delivered their stories was as if they had given it a hundred times.

And I feel like that that potentially is a launch pad for them.

Sure.

You know, I hope it is because they that those stories need to be out there. They do. Um, I agree with you a hundred percent on what you said about we every single one of us has a testimony. Um I was just talking to somebody about this, uh, I think at church, you know, I don't come from a history of addiction um and stuff like that, uh, but the Lord's done a whole heck of a lot in my life just right here. Yeah, and right here.

Like I I I don't feel like I I needed to come from addiction in order to clearly communicate what God's done in my life.

That's right.

Um, but it's even it's it's it's even that more powerful when you do have uh, you know, God takes takes us at the depths of our depravity, our human depravity, and pulls us out of it.

Yep.

What an amazing story, no matter what the circumstances are.

That's right.

If God's doing it, it's it's a testimony.

Well, and Grayson Smith's 18.

And she was one of the overcomers that gave a testimony of of just overcoming sexual addiction at 18.

Based on the exposure that she had had her 18 years of life. And so uh, you know, and then for Tasha Moore to get up and talk about her food addiction, telling things from her perspective for someone who's never really had to deal with being overweight, hearing from her perspective how uh people who deal and struggle with weight and who are overweight, walking into a restaurant and wondering, okay, are they gonna choose a booth or are they gonna choose a table?

Am I gonna fit in the booth? If they choose a table, will the chair hold me up? Wow.

That's that's raw and real.

So when she was sharing those things when we met, you know, ahead of time, like it was taking my breath because I was thinking to myself, I don't I I've I've never had to worry about that. And I've never thought about walking into a restaurant and how they are feeling about it.

Even down to the fair rides.

The the fears and the thoughts from a different perspective of somebody seeing life from a from a different view, which man, we could go down a whole nother road right there right now if you're watching social media. Um, is eye-opening. And it truly, honestly, it just helped me to be able to love people as Christ even more so and to be more attentive to the way other people may be feeling in the room.

So let's talk about just quickly at with our last remaining minutes. I I imagine you probably don't have an actual absolute plan for next year. You may, but is the plan to do another one?

The plan is to do another one. I I'm actually waiting on a text back now to make sure we've got the weekend secured. Um and so, you know, we're we're hoping to do this conference every year, the very last Friday and Saturday of June every year. We try to keep it consistent in that manner.

So while the dates may actually change based on the year, we're trying to do it that last Friday and Saturday of June of every year. And um, I'm hoping that we can secure the Civic Center again.

And hey, while while I'm talking, I I really encourage you, yes, keep doing them every year because you've you've turned on a the Lord had worked through a lot of women that weekend, and I know for a fact that the moment it was over, my wife and several other women, uh Courtney White's girlfriend, now fiance, congratulations, guys. Um were already looking for other women's conferences to go to and found one in Tupelo. Yes. And before even a few days went by, they already had an Airbnb book. They were ready to go find another women's conference to go to. So the Lord worked so powerfully that uh that he just encouraged them to go find more and more opportunities to grow.

Speaking of your wife and Courtney and that exactly what you just said, several times I looked over at because they were all sitting at the same table, I looked over at their table and they were just immersed in worship. Yeah.

Yes. So I've got to see some of the pictures, and I I can see it even through the pictures. Yes, it's amazing. It was.

Well, and so I want to say real quickly too, you know, the things that that God did in in women's lives, because they they would come to me and they would say things like um something as simple as we played bingo, a connections bingo at lunch, where I had created these bingo cards that had different things in the blocks that where you had to go find a lady that met that. Some of them were very specific, some of them were general, so it could have been any of the women around you, but it was it was on purpose to make people get out and and learn people that are not at your table. And so one of the things on there was that um find someone with a glass eye because I we had someone there that had a glass eye. She helped Tristan with the photography, so I knew she was coming, and she posts about her glass eye and all of that now. So I knew that it would not be an issue. What we didn't know was there was another lady there with a glass eye.

Oh wow.

But what happened with that bingo card is she actually said, Can I say something? And she like learning that there was someone else with a glass eye and connecting with her, yeah, be allowed her for the Lord to start working in her some insecurities with her glass eye.

Unreal.

And so it connected two people with a glass of small as that. Yes. And she she talked about how that it meant a lot to her to learn that there was somebody else and to connect with somebody else so that they can talk about their insecurities. And I was just like, oh my gosh, who would have known we'd had two people with a glass eye? But but also I had a lady take me aside and she said, Thank you for sharing about your dream. She said, It reminded me of a dream God gave me almost 20 years ago. And she described that to me. She and she said, and it has reignited that vision that God gave me, and I'm gonna, I'm gonna get that going again. And even down to people breaking the the forgiveness chains, um, and people, other people that realize they have a food addiction, you know, so just and people surrendering, just fully surrendering. I mean, the stories are endless, and I keep hearing stories that people are coming to me and telling me, and and that's just affirmation that everybody was there that was supposed to be there, the people on the stage were the right people, the worship team was the right people. Everything was aligned with what God had in store for that weekend, and the people came ready for God to do a work, and that is all we could ever ask for. And he was faithful, he was absolutely faithful.
