About Danny
Danny Angelo Fluker Jr. is a meditation teacher, psychotherapeutic yoga instructor, conscious creative, healing justice futurist, and Sankomé ( a living embodiment of ancestral memory and story.) Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Danny has spent over a decade weaving together the practices of yoga, ancestral wisdom, and Black liberation into accessible pathways of healing.
He is the creator of Black Boys OM, an international wellness organization that has created thousands of mind-body healing spaces for Black men and boys. Through classes, retreats, teacher trainings, and written works, Danny's mission has remained clear: to restore wholeness and offer sacred tools for embodiment, especially for those who’ve historically been excluded from wellness spaces.
Danny is also the visionary behind Heal Noir, a publishing and education platform centering Black well-being, and the author of several transformative books including A Healing Journal for Black Men, Reparations & Wholeness: A Path to Healing Justice, and Defining Reparations for Ourselves. His work has been featured in Essence, Forbes, Shondaland, and Afropunk, and continues to ripple through schools, prisons, spiritual spaces, and community centers.
Danny is a seasoned facilitator at globally respected retreat centers such as the Esalen Institute and the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health.
With roots in West African cosmologies, non-dual yogic traditions, and Black Southern wisdom, Danny’s work invites readers and students alike to remember: wholeness is not something we earn, it’s something we return to.

Welcome to my very first episode. I’m so honored to start this with you. The premise of this show is very simple. I’ll share a practice for mind-body-spirit health as well as an excerpt from one of my many books.
In this episode I share a practice for nervous system down regulation by pausing at the bottom of your inhale visualizing energy descending into your heart, and pausing at the top of your exhale visualizing that same energy ascending from your heart to the space above your head.
