Ep 21: Inside A New Orleans Hotel Takeover Built On Details
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
New Orleans is loud, wild, and unforgettable, but we just found a way to experience it with more confidence and a lot more connection: an LS Events hotel takeover built around the little details that most events miss. After rolling in from our road trip and getting our RV tucked safely away, we break down what we’re seeing on the ground from the pool deck to Bourbon Street and why this crowd feels especially classy, sexy, and dialed in.
We explain what LS Events is, how their New Orleans roots show up in the experience, and what you can expect from topless pool parties, themed nights, vendors, playrooms, and those Bourbon Street bar takeovers that somehow still feel discreet. We also talk about the practical side that matters when you’re traveling for a lifestyle event: wristbands, paid security, walking logistics, and how staying off your phone can actually make the weekend better.
Then we get into the big dates and travel planning. We share what’s coming for Sultry Spirits on October 23 to 24, 2026 in New Orleans, including the option for day passes, plus the huge Mardi Gras Extravaganza in February 2028 with Bliss Cruise: 11 nights that combine cruising out of New Orleans with five nights back in town for Mardi Gras. If you’ve ever wanted Mardi Gras but didn’t want to figure it out alone, this one is worth putting on the calendar early.
Stick with us for our no-BS “just the tips” checklist (pack extra booze, plan for ice, bring the right shoes, protect your immune system), plus our mailbag answer on what weekday vibes are like at lifestyle resorts. Rolling Into New Orleans
SPEAKER_01All right, folks, we are with you here today. We've made it to New Orleans. That's the good news. And we are here for LS Events, their big inaugural kind of jump-off event here in New Orleans. And I'll tell you, we've got a lot of great information to tell you about, but first, let's talk about what has been going on in our lives over the last couple of weeks. If you've been following with us, we have be we've come from all the way up to Nashville on Broadway down here to New Orleans, as we're calling it, to visit Bourbon Street. Bourbon Street, and my gosh, are we having a blast, I tell you. And along the way, we've come, we had some things happen to us along the way. It was a downpour, like monsoon, as we were driving down here in our Alice. And a lot of you have asked, you know, what do you guys do with your RV as you attend these events? Well, Alice is nice and safe and sound. She's over on a naval air station base, about 20 minutes just south of us here. And we love doing that. Of course, being retired military, we can get onto those military bases with uh with our Alice. And we like to tuck her away, make sure she's safe and sound over there. Uh, because what better security is there than on military base, right? And also it allows us to plug in and uh allow things to be charged up and ready to go. Because guess what? Tomorrow morning we are heading back to Tampa. Heading back to Tampa. We're taking this shit show back on the road, going back home for a little break uh for about a month.
SPEAKER_00We're gonna need we you're calling it a break. It won't be a break.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. What do we got going on?
SPEAKER_00We'll we'll be at Secrets and we'll be at Caliente. And I hope to have some boating involved.
SPEAKER_01Yes, please, some boating, please, please, please. Yeah, so we uh as a matter of fact, uh we will be leaving uh tomorrow from here in New Orleans, uh starting our drive there and be at Secrets on Wednesday. Wow. Uh as I said that I'm like, oh my gosh, I'm tired. Yeah, yeah, no wonder.
SPEAKER_00All right.
SPEAKER_01Well, stick around. We are gonna come back right after this quick little break, and we'll get into the details about Ellis Events and this amazing party here. We'll be right back. All right,
What LS Events Actually Is
SPEAKER_01we are back with you guys, our sexy listeners, and we're gonna bring you all the information you need to know about LS Events. LS Events. We are here in New Orleans at their, you know, the big uh event here, and I'll tell you it's been a takeover, a hotel takeover, and it's been amazing. So let's get right to the details. What is LS Events?
SPEAKER_00It is a brand newly formed lifestyle events business. They are focused out of New Orleans, out of the French Quarter and Bourbon Street and everything you know and love about New Orleans, and their philosophy is all about high quality events for travel for lifestyle couples.
SPEAKER_01Right. Now, you might ask, what was the difference between, you know, the event you guys were at last time and this place? I'll tell you right away. Uh, the other group that we uh mentioned, you know, in the last uh podcast was all about, you know, picking up everything, putting it into a truck and bringing it to you. Well, this place right here is if you're out there and you've always wanted to go to New Orleans, check out this group because they've got all the information, they bring it to you, and they it's all done up so nicely. And as Ms. Clorm mentioned, they are they take it up a notch. This is quality, this is the sexiest people I've seen, I think, to date, uh, all in one place. And I'm talking to, you know, a hotel of probably like 200 people. And uh the pool party yesterday was awesome. They have different events throughout the day. What are the things that they got going on?
SPEAKER_00Uh well, there is definitely the uh topless pool parties. That was a pretty big one. That was insane. Yeah, that was that was fun. And then they have nightly parties, also vendors that come in. Of course, the playrooms are set up. That's where we're at.
SPEAKER_01We're filming the playroom again. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00The uh couples that founded uh LS Events, they have a combined 15 years of experience holding events in New Orleans. So they are rooted in the community, they know the community well, and they are the founders of Kinky Fest and Laqueur. Right. So they come with a broad uh range of experience and just a large lifestyle community uh out of New Orleans and local places.
SPEAKER_01Great points, great points because they know what they're doing.
SPEAKER_00They do, they know what they're doing, and their philosophy is all about couples first and the fostering of the community. They want to bring the community together, have a place to meet and have fun and explore um, you know, the wild side a little bit.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I was actually talking with one of the bosses this morning, and one of the first things I told him is like, listen, I don't know how you guys do it with such a small core of people, but the the the details. It's all about the details. And these guys are number one that I've seen so far on making sure the details are done nicely, right? And that um everything's done. It seemed like seamless. Like when we showed up, I was like, holy smoke, how did this all transform and like overnight into this amazing event? But these guys, they're about the details, and that's it. Even talking with him, he mentioned that you know that in his day-to-day business, he is always about the details, and that's what he wants to make sure he gets it over to you guys, the sexy Ellis crowd out there that wants to come and take part in their Ellis events.
SPEAKER_00And it definitely transpires in all the details. Radiates, I don't even know what it's like. Radiates that's a great way of putting it. Wow, yeah. So
Upcoming Events And Big Dates
SPEAKER_00the inaugural event for LS Events is actually October this year. It is October 23rd to 24th in New Orleans, so that's 2026. October 23rd to 24th in New Orleans, and it is a hotel event at the Zhang Hotel, which is a historic building. Beautiful building. Very close to the French Quarter.
SPEAKER_01We walked by there yesterday.
SPEAKER_00Yes, it's beautiful hotel. And this event will offer hotel rooms, but it will also offer day passes. So if you live in the area or you want to travel to the area, you can get a day pass for this October event. But picture this Halloween in the French Quarter. Yes, please. Yeah. Uh there is so much history.
SPEAKER_01There's not enough people watching already. Imagine during Halloween.
SPEAKER_00Exactly. So during this event in October, there will be uh bar takeovers on Bourbon Street, which is a great way to visit a bar in Bourbon Street because we have uh there will be a security staff outside.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and and just take a minute to kind of elaborate on that because even during this event, there's been you know events going on during the day on Bourbon Street and some of the bars. I don't know how they do it, but it's a private event on Bourbon Street. But probably honestly, if you think about it, there's no day that on Bourbon Street it's not busy. No. I mean, all the bars are hopping on Bourbon Street throughout the week. So even like on Thursday and Friday, it's like, holy cow, how are we going to take over? And then you get there, and again, it's about the details, they do an amazing job of it. But they these events that they take over, even though you're leaving the hotel and the the discreetness and the safety and the security of the hotel and all that because everybody else's lifestyle, well, you can they pick up that little group and they take it to a bar and they do an amazing job to make sure, again, discreetness, fun, having a great time. As a matter of fact, today is going on a uh what's going on Bourbon Street at one of the bars on Bourbon Street. And those are my favorites. You guys know that by now that phone parties are my jam.
SPEAKER_00Well, what I like about that is there's a security staff at the door of the of the bar. And if you don't have a bracelet on, you're not getting in, which helps me feel secure whenever we're at a location like that. Also, the event in October. In addition to the Bourbon Street uh bar takeovers, there's going to be pool parties and a phone party and the nightly themed party as well. In addition, there will be playrooms, just like we're sitting in right now, and vendors and meet and greets as well.
SPEAKER_01And uh something else you kind of hit on a little bit earlier, but uh they have these vendors down in the lobby area of the hotel. They've set up these vendor areas, and we actually sat and uh talked with a couple uh that actually wrote a book, a you know, lifestyle style book, and they were asked to be here and do signings and stuff like that. So we sat down and talked with them. Amazing story. Uh can't wait to actually buy the book. We got to go back and buy that book because that's gonna be it sounds amazing, but it's gonna be a trilogy, and uh, can't remember the name of it, but anyway, there's vendors, uh, great vendors uh to take part of as well.
SPEAKER_00Right, exactly. All right, so who is little LS events geared towards? Who?
SPEAKER_01Well, okay, I'm gonna stray from the my normal response to this, but uh LS couples that are out there looking for that open sexy ability to come to an area, uh again, be in that discreetness. And we've actually talked to people so many people on the elevators and stuff this week about why they come here and stuff like that. And the resounding over and over again is we can come here, we can check in, throw the keys away, we can uh put the phones away, put the phones away and actually enjoy yourself, immerse yourself into a weekend getaway to where you don't have to worry about you don't have to worry about anything. Well, there's been a couple things. There's a couple things that we'll bring up in just the tips that we've kind of, you know, and we've been doing house parties and hotel parties, takeovers, stuff like that. So we've got a lot of experience in our 12 years. Uh, but our opinion is you know, we've got we've got some things we'll bring up in the tips. But you know, those those people that are looking to have a good time, an elevated, because I'm telling you, an elevated, like tonight. Tonight is a formal night. Like they go to the tea and do like a straight out formal night because again, they people want to class themselves up and show off a little bit their little, you know, and not that last night. Oh my gosh, it just popped in my brain. The talent show. They had a talent show last night. And of course, at first I was thinking, a talent show at a lifestyle swinger type event. And I was thinking, how is this gonna be go down? And I'll tell you, our room, our room is right off of the pool, and it was out there at the pool last night. And uh, holy smokes, they had an opera singer, uh, sing some opera, yeah, guitar player, guitar player, comedy guy, comedy guy.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and now these are all the patrons that come to come to the event. These are not hired in, obviously.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, not hired in, just signed up, right? And it was amazing. And we had front row seats laying in our bed in our room, yeah, and we just opened up the slider and just sat there and listened. And I was blown away at the quality of the entertainment. Right. Blown away.
SPEAKER_00Other the other of the who of comes to these events, one thing that I like is it's people from all over. We met couples from Washington and Oregon and Canada and uh Missouri and Chicago and Florida, all at this particular event that we're at right now. So people travel here to this destination. Of course, New Orleans is a travel destination city, so it makes sense to come here and incorporate lifestyle activities. Also, most of the people, the median age at this event that we're at right now is probably 40. 40. That would be the median age. There were some 30-year-olds, a few 20-year-olds, some 50-year-olds, a few 60-year-olds, but the median was right about 40. Everyone, super like sexy, elevated, classy vibe and and people.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'll tell you. And it was again, what I have seen over and over again, and I don't know how these people keep pulling it off, but uh the sexy crowds, uh, this event, again, uh top-notch, classy, sexy. Uh, the vibe was amazing. We were talking to a couple last night, kind of talking about both the who and where, you know, traveling and stuff like that. Couple come uh came in from Alberta, I think it was Calgary, Alberta, somewhere up there in Canada. And um, they said, well, and we were asking them again on the elevator, why why why do you come to these events? It's like, uh, because we don't have anything like it. And two, we like to travel and get away. And we always wanted to come to New Orleans. So again, kind of going back to you know what we said at the beginning, why LS events? Because it's it's in New Orleans. I mean, right off the French district. Why not?
SPEAKER_00We talked to another couple last night that of course they travel to do lifestyle in general because they don't in their hometown because it's a small hometown. It's a great way to do lifestyle, is to travel for the lifestyle events.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, fantastic. So I think we got the Who I think we have the Who? Yeah. Yeah. And I'm just gonna say not every okay, everybody can come to these events too. Just have a good time. All right, so what's next? We've got on the docket when. When are the events for LS events?
SPEAKER_00So I mentioned the next LS event is October 23rd to 24th, 2026. And that event is called Sultry Spirits, and it's during Halloween. It is uh the Zhang Hotel. Um, of course, it'll still be warm enough in New Orleans to do pool parties and bar takeovers, things like that.
SPEAKER_01I can't imagine a time where it's not warm in New Orleans. Not only from the weather, but from the hot people around here. Yeah, that's true. It gets spicy and heats up pretty damn quick. You are about that.
SPEAKER_00The the next event that LS is really wrapping their head around, and it's going to it's going to be amazing. This is gonna be a game. It is called Mardi Gras Extravaganza. Yeah. LS Events has teamed up with Bliss, Bliss Cruise for an event in February 2028. So that is a year and a half from right now as we're filming. Uh, the event is an 11-night extravaganza.
SPEAKER_0111 nights, guys. Think about it.
SPEAKER_00Think about this. Leaving New Orleans on a Bliss cruise for six nights, uh, starting off the extravaganza by sea. And then when you get back from that Bliss cruise, stay another five nights in New Orleans for Mardi Gras.
SPEAKER_01On Bourbon Street.
SPEAKER_00On Bourbon Street, near Bourbon Street.
SPEAKER_01I know there's a lot of folks out there that, you know, have obviously subscribers, followers. You guys, uh how many of you actually thought about coming to Mardi Gras and but you're always thinking about, oh gee, I don't know how to, where? Well, here it is. And you can be around those sexy lifestylers that you already enjoy being around anyway. And now they're combining the two. Holy cow, Mr. Liver, you're gonna be okay. Don't worry. It'll be all right. But I'll tell you, uh, the best thing that I think about it is okay, so maybe you're like, oh my gosh, there's no possible way we can get away from uh you know for 11 days. Well, guess what? You can book one or the other too. Now, first time, actually, Bliss is actually going out of the New Orleans area. How cool is that, right? You get to be a part of that. But then if you want to just book the hotel part or the five days afterwards, you can do that as well. And guess what? We're also affiliated with LS Events, and you can check in the notes and make sure you get all that information to go out and search and see which one you want to do. So make sure you check through our uh our links page.
SPEAKER_00Absolutely. The Mardi Gras event is going to be a major kickoff, and there's so much buzz around it right now. For the hotel takeover portion, there's actually five hotels booked and ready to go. You guys, the first hotel is already sold out.
SPEAKER_01First one, and this is a year and a half away.
SPEAKER_00A year and a half.
SPEAKER_01I think this is gonna be the I I I I always try and keep myself a little reserved, but I think this might be the party of 2028. This just might be. And it's a year away.
SPEAKER_00It's a year and a half away. Uh if you want to attend this Mardi Grog's extravaganza, check your calendars, check your events, get your affairs lined up so you can come to this amazing event. Join us. Yeah, it's it's going to be one for the ages. So uh more information about that on their website too, as well as in the show notes below. Yep.
Locations, Safety, And Getting Around
SPEAKER_00All right, now where do these events take place with LS Events?
SPEAKER_01Right here. I mean, well, no, okay, no, maybe not right here in the dungeon, but I'll tell you what, uh LS Events, as we said, we're based, or they're based out of uh New Orleans here, right off the French uh district. First is it the French Quarter district. French Quarter district. Right off Bourbon Street is where they tend to kind of gravitate towards. They usually pick hotels though that are in safe areas outside off of Bourbon Street because nobody wants that real loudness of Bourbon Street. But I'll also say this uh, you know, both the wear and whatever I I you know when I first came to New Orleans years ago and we came down here uh for an event, and uh Bourbon Street was a little on a little on the dicey side. However, what I will say, uh there is there's always that security, and uh kind of goes right along with it with numbers. And when you're trying with your best friends in the LS community and world, coming to an event here and going on Bourbon Street is hey, that sounds like a great time, and it is a great time. Uh never felt more secure uh than with our little posse walking down, you know, 10, 12 deep, walking down Bourbon Street and having a good time, and everybody looking out for each other as well. And uh I you know New Orleans. I mean, what else can you say? Uh the historic, the history, the beignets, the food. Oh my gosh, the food mufalata. Let's talk about the mufalata you had last year.
SPEAKER_00Jambalaya, jumbo, pool boys, you know, all the food.
SPEAKER_01Why not? Right again, I hate saying it that way, but why not want to come to this amazing area? Historic, you know, all the different things you can do. All the and we haven't even made it there yet, but the World War II Museum is right next door. We haven't even made it there. Yeah. I'm a big history buff if you haven't noticed. Right.
SPEAKER_00All right, that was the where. The where.
SPEAKER_01All right, how? How do we get in touch with information for LS Events?
SPEAKER_00So they have their own website. It is lsevents.lc. Um, all of the information can be found on there, booking links and um history and and story and things like that. I will tell you, if you want to do these events, book early because they will sell out as proof is in the proof. Proof is already that first hotel for the Mardi Gras extravaganza is sold out. Um, you can also book through our link. And so we have a link because we are affiliates that you can book through our link as well. So check that in at the show notes.
SPEAKER_01And if you have any questions, concerns, sorry to speak over you but if you have any questions, concerns, or if you have a just a general question about Ellis events or anything else, just shoot it to us. Just shoot it to us on our uh our website, our Gmail account, which is uh nextdoorswing at gmail.com.
SPEAKER_00Thanks for you can also hit me up on um IG uh messenger as well. Um, but the quick response would be on the email. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And Miss Cora takes care of all of our socials, so you know, she's the one who usually responds back to that. But we love the feedback and we love getting those questions from you guys. And as as you can tell by our demeanor and how you know we're a little hoarse this morning, it was a hell of a party last night. Yeah, you were talking about it. Somebody got laid, you know, it was a luau and a you know party outside, and uh we are you know so excited about this party, and uh, we're so waiting, can't wait to uh get back here. Actually, we got one more night. Yeah, we did. We got one more night. All right. So we also want to talk about uh our favorite at least one.
SPEAKER_00Well, the why, the why. Oh, we forgot about the why, yeah. Why
Why Couples Keep Coming Back
SPEAKER_00come to the LS event?
SPEAKER_01Why? Well, we said it up front, classy, sexy, they elevate it, and that's that's really their mission statement is they want it to be a sexy, classy event, and they do. And I and again, I say about the details and the proof is in the pudding. Uh with the big Mardi Gras event coming up that they've already sold out the first hotel. Um, I mean, I what else can you say? Right. What else can you say?
SPEAKER_00I think it's also a really good space to meet a wide variety of lifestyle couples from different places. I enjoy meeting people from Calgary and from Idaho and from you know New York. I enjoy meeting people from other places and making those connections. So this is a really good place to meet other lifestyle people.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and I and I think what you're going with this is I uh when we're in these events and we're at these locations and we're meeting people, uh I I that's how our calendar gets filled up because we're like, oh my gosh, we're going out to well, for us anyway, who are traveling, um, we're going to West next. So, hey, we got you this weekend here's open, you know, let's set you up. And we we not kidding, we are doing that with going out and not and not it's not just LS stuff, but it's fly fishing in Montana. It's all these other things that are available too. Once you get to that location, you have friends. You you you even if it's just a mutual agreement of saying, hey, we'll see you next time or whatever, and you don't even do anything lifestyle with them, um, but they're it's an open community of people that just want to help and and be around people that are in this community as well.
SPEAKER_00Well, and most of the time, whenever you're meeting people and you're going to their location and you message them or meet up with them, they want to show you their area and they're proud of their area. And so we had friends that, you know, we're not really close with them, but while we were in Nashville, we messaged them and said, you know, hey, what's in Nashville? And she gave me, you know, some of the best restaurants to go to, but then she also invited us to a barbecue and she invited us to go boating because we wanted to because we want they wanted to show us their area, which is great. And so that's another reason why I like to have you know lots of connections. And I think a variety of people makes life spicier.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and if you have that mutual connection of just lifestyle, it makes it great as well. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00All right,
Practical Tips For Hotel Takeovers
SPEAKER_00now to our little section on just the tips. My favorite just the tips. I love this. All right. My first uh just the tip is book early. Book early. Book early because these events are going to sell out.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And and as we found out when we checked in, uh, that goodie bag, right? I did like that.
SPEAKER_00I did like that. One thing that I really enjoyed upon checking in. So when we first arrived at the hotel, we checked in and with the event and they gave us a goodie bag. Inside that like goodie bag, it was like a drawstring backpack style bag, but there were some condoms, some lube, but also written literature in there. And one thing I liked a lot was the little card of the daily events, of the schedule of events. And they had everything going on on each day, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. And then, but they had at the bottom um some of the vendors, so you could find people like the hours they were open. And I liked that because I'm not on my phone whenever I'm at a place like.
SPEAKER_01How do you want to be?
SPEAKER_00And so you put that little card up to know, okay, what time was the band starting, what time was the pool party, and that was a nice feeling.
SPEAKER_01That was money. That was on point. It was it was, and it was in a size that you can easily carry around your pocket without having to carry your phone.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_01And just throw your phone away. Well, I'm gonna say throw it away, but put your phone away. Put the phone away.
SPEAKER_00Exactly. All right. Uh next up was uh something about booze.
SPEAKER_01So uh me being a logistical guy, uh I'm all about the logistics, take care of everything. So I would say my My biggest tips is when you're coming to a hotel takeover party, I can't even believe I'm gonna say this. We thought we had enough booze, right? But you think you have enough booze, it might take a little bit more because going out and trying to find something, especially on Bourbon Street. If you're gonna buy a handle or something or a big ball or something, it's gonna be a lot more pricier than say at a place away from Bourbon Street. So uh just be prepared to bring enough booze. The other one is ice. Yep, you're thinking, well, every floor on every hotel usually has ice, but guess what? All other 300 couples are also thinking about using ice in the in the hotel. So the ice machines run out fairly quickly. So make sure you're thinking about that. And uh if you're having a cooler, because those hotel uh refrigerators are only so big. And uh the other part of you know ice and logistics part of that is food. Uh be cognizant of snacks in your room because they're you I guarantee you you're gonna say, Oh no, no, let's go to dinner this night and do that. Well, you're gonna be having so much fun out of that damn pool party. Oh my god, that I can't stop thinking about that pool party yesterday. But anyway, uh that you're you're gonna be immersed in into this event to where you're not gonna want to leave. So having some snacks uh in your room is always a good thing to have. Always a good to have and healthy snacks.
SPEAKER_00And you know, uh um some of our friends that flew here that didn't drive, they actually had like a grocery delivery service. So whenever they first got here, they put in an order um and they got styrofoam coolers as well as some food, so they had extra storage space. I thought that was a great idea. If you're you know, if you're flying and not driving.
SPEAKER_01Yep, absolutely, especially if you're driving or flying in, yeah, absolutely.
SPEAKER_00Also, for this hotel takeover, a variety of clothes was needed because there is a lot of events outside of the hotel. So there were events on Bourbon Street, there were um also you might walk to go to a restaurant because it is downtown New Orleans, so there's a lot of walking involved. So you did need more like shorts and pants, things you could wear in public. Um, probably more of that than the sexy clothes. I mean, you need the sexy clothes for inside the hotel too, but think about clothes to wear outside of the hotel as well.
SPEAKER_01Sneakers for the walking, good footwear, comfortable footwear.
SPEAKER_00Good footwear is a big tip in New Orleans because you're going to be walking a lot.
SPEAKER_01And I'm from a phone party, you know, guy that likes phone parties. Sneakers, you're don't flip-flops in that phone. Yeah, just get an old pair of sneakers. That's what these ones are for because that's where we're going right after this. But uh sneakers that you don't mind throwing away, being trashed, get rid of. Just bring them alone. If there's a phone party that you want to take part in.
SPEAKER_00All right, another one was about the adventurous and introduce yourself. That was yours.
SPEAKER_01Uh hey, I said it in 2026 is a year to be adventurous. So, one of the things that I've I've noticed actually, because usually we're the ones going up and talking to people and saying, Hey, how are you, how are you doing? My name is Yeah, be be prepared. Uh when you get in on an elevator or hell, even going around a corner, that people are in a I don't know what it is, and I guess it must be the safety and security of being in an area where everybody's at lifestyle, but people are going to start talking to you. So if you're introverted, uh be prepared. The people are gonna talk to you and just be okay with it and just just just allow it to happen. And I the connections you'll make. Yeah, I'm thinking back to our Friday night here. It just it you'll be a good time.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. And so don't be afraid also to say, walk up to people and say, Hi, my name is or you know, where are you guys from? Because that's the way you meet people in this environment is is to come out of your shell a little bit.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and my last tip, I think, of the day, my last tip of the day is because I think for both of us, because we are now on round what, six or seven of this in a row, it seems like, anyway. Um, for your health, for immunity, for your systems on board, make sure you take care of yourself uh health-wise, immunity, make sure you're you're taking those, they have those the vitamin C overdose vitamin Cergency and airborne, all that stuff. Prep before you get here. Take it two or three days before, take it well, even while you're here, because with all the people around, all the stuff that goes on, and you're not sleeping well, you're partying, you're active, you're gonna be tired, your immunity is gonna get down, and you're gonna probably catch up with a little cold or something, and then you don't want to pass it on to the rest of the community as well. So just make sure you're taking care of yourself. And I would say that when you're preparing to come to an event like this, you get those vitamin emergencies. Emergency.
SPEAKER_00And then also, of course, prior to coming into an event like this, get your sleep dialed in, get your nutrition dialed in, and hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.
SPEAKER_01As you can see, that's what we're doing today.
SPEAKER_00Uh, speaking of hydration, I wanted to mention this. One thing I noticed that's a little different at this event uh is they have water stations everywhere. They have coolers, pool side with water that's for everyone that's already here. They have a nice refrigerator cooler outside of the dance floor area, packed with water. So they encourage everyone to stay high-drinked. Outside of the playrooms, there's bottles of water.
SPEAKER_01It goes with being healthy and taking care of yourself. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_00Another tip I had was do all the events. Go to all the bars, go to all the pool parties, go do the events. They are fun, they are built-in. That's how you connect with people.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and in a strange way, because usually it's the other way around. The other day, I didn't want to go. We weren't gonna go to the uh the one, the the inaugural, or not the inaugural, but the kickoff event, which was uh at this bar where it was a t-shirt event where you went around and I was like, ah, forget that. No, we don't need to go that. And uh Miss Cora was like, no, no, no, come on, we gotta go. We go, we gotta go meet the, you know, meet people and say hi and get out there. And we did, and we had a blast. My t-shirt was all marked up. They it was sexual innuendo t-shirts, and you could sign them, or people just put random stuff on. I think we got invited to a few rooms by you know stuff written on our t-shirts, but it was a good time after we went. So I I have to also sometimes remember hey, be encouraged to get out there.
SPEAKER_00Do the things, do the things. Another thing I wanted to say specifically about this event is they have paid security. Their security staff is paid. Uh, they're not volunteers, which elevates the experience a little bit. Um, and they are at all of the events. They were pool side, they were buying the ball. They were this morning while we were outside. They were this morning, outside the door, making sure that only people come into the hotel with a wristband on. Um, so it is it was safe. I like that. 100%. Um, which is a nice draw for New Orleans.
SPEAKER_01Yep, very nice.
SPEAKER_00The um one more is that there are vendors, the vendors here. Uh, they do have an IV bar that they brought in, which was this morning on Saturday morning, after two nights of partying the in the lobby, all the people sitting on couches and just hooked up to an IV, and there's you know, the pole next to them. There were probably 20 people hooked up.
SPEAKER_01And mind you, these are registered, they're nurses medical physicians. They're not just everybody's you know, that these are it's paid professionals that are doing the IV bars.
SPEAKER_00Exactly. And they also had a a vendor with selling um bikinis. Yeah, oh beautiful bikinis, yeah, and then a couple other ones with some different lifestyle. So they bring in vendors as well. So that's another tip.
SPEAKER_01Very great. All right, make sure you go out and see those vendors.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, all right. A
Our Weekend Timeline And Highlights
SPEAKER_00little bit of our story time while we were here.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'll tell you our stories the way we're gonna approach this one because it's been such an amazing event. We wanted to kind of give you a timeline, how you know, when we got here, some of the crazy, sexy things that we've done. So a three-day event, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. We showed up uh Thursday mid-morning-ish, around noonish, and uh got into the hotel, had a great time getting in the hotel, uh trying to get situated in our room. They had the the event, the t-shirt event down uh down on bourbon street. What was your favorite part about the the that first event, the drinking or was it?
SPEAKER_00The the sexual inuid t-shirt, t-shirt um bar current bar takeover, I think is what is what it was. I think it was reconnecting to people that we have seen in the past. Um because you know, at these events, I always like to say lifestyle community is a little community, but really big. It's a big little community, uh, which means the way I take that is that when you go to these events, you'll see someone that you know from somewhere else. Sometimes I can't quite place where I know them from, but I'm like, I know we've met, but let me decide where. And they're like, oh, were you on Bliss, you know, fall 2022, or were you at Secrets for you know this part? Yeah, yeah. And so it it's it's often reconnecting with some familiar faces, yeah. Uh, which is always great. Uh, that's probably was my favorite event because it was the first kickoff day.
SPEAKER_01That's a that's an amazing, great point. Because I I you know, you're right. Uh, and that first event, I was blown away because I again we thought we weren't gonna run into many folks that we knew down here. We there was a you know, a core of folks that we knew, uh, because we know the folks that are putting on the event as well. But uh we got into that bar, you're right. Oh my gosh, it was like almost uh summer camp reunion. It was like wow. Uh, and again, it was great time, sexy vibe, sexy people. The t-shirt thing, I again I thought it was gonna be a eh. No, it was a it was a blast. It was fun, it was really cool. Yep.
SPEAKER_00Yep. And then after we left that, that Thursday night, we came back here, and that was glow night.
SPEAKER_01Glow night.
SPEAKER_00Glow night was so fun. In the ballroom, they had lots of black lights set up, they had excellent music. The DJ was hopping. We got all the dancing and all the dancing, yeah. It was a lot of fun.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and then someone came up and said, Hey, yeah, you guys want to go back to your rear, our room for a uh uh tequila shot. And of course, I love tequila, so yes, we were like, Yes, let's do this. And um, needless to say, a it was a play experience that was out of this world. We both had a fantastic time with both of them. Uh, I have never seen you so happy and so like hours of playing.
SPEAKER_00And we had a break whenever we went to the pool at two o'clock in the morning to do some skinny dipping. And then also at three o'clock in the morning had a um grub hub uh order of from Taco Bell.
SPEAKER_01Taco Bell.
SPEAKER_00Um so we were eating burritos at three in the morning.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, with another couple is just amazing.
SPEAKER_00That's why we go back to the immunity thing. So make sure you get your sleep and hydrate beforehand.
SPEAKER_01We went back for round two, and then we finally uh closed up shop and we were looking. Holy cow, it's five o'clock in the morning.
SPEAKER_00Five a.m. Oh wow. You guys, we don't do that. That's a rarity in our world to uh to see.
SPEAKER_01Tequila made my clothes come off, I think, is what probably I'm gonna end up calling this episode. But yeah, uh, but that was that night. Uh that was the glow night. And then we woke up the next morning. Uh that was the Lu. That was yesterday morning. Yes, yes. The Luau, uh, which we didn't quite realize. We knew we had a poolside room, but we didn't realize the whole day activities was gonna be going on right outside our door, which might sound awful, but at the same time, it was fantastic. It was great. It was uh it was great to be able to walk out to our from our room, go out, dance, do whatever we want. We also helped with per uh making sure the party was going out there. We uh we helped out with the uh mix it. Uh what was it? The to Tonga, what they call it?
SPEAKER_00There was a variety of games that we were helping out the games and stuff and making sure people were a human train through the pool. Yeah, that so uh the pool party was lit. Oh my god. Oh my gosh. I had so much fun. My cheeks were hurting. I held it. You guys, I have never seen this before, but I needed it every pool party. We did a mosh pit in the pool. Yeah. So the DJ said, and he set it up perfectly. He said, anybody ever been to a mosh pit? If you'd want that, get in the pool now. And he put on some grunge music, grunge, grunge music and water, everybody was jumping, water was flying. Mind blown. It was crazy fun. Mind blown. My cheeks were hurting uh so much after that. And I got a nice uh chlorine nasal rinse at the same time.
SPEAKER_01So I had to explain this a little bit. So if you can imagine again, probably 300 people in a pool and around the pool. And around the pool, yeah, and all that. And so Miss Cora was sitting on the edge of the pool, and uh one of our friends invited her into the pool as the DJ was saying this. I don't know if he really caught on to what was really gonna happen. Because I was a little surprised because usually, you know, because of the night you're worried about your hair not getting wet and all that. Well, next thing I know, I look over. Miss Cora is just like throwing water, splashing water, boobs bouncing. It was uh I I enjoyed watching you have the time of your life.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it was so fun. So much fun. So much fun. I need that at every pool person. Still blown away. I need it.
SPEAKER_01Still blown away. And our our best one of our good friends, the DJ guy, uh don't want to mention any names, but uh killer.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, killed it. But there was also games. So we did the human train for the pool. There was a limbo contest where prizes were won. Um, there was lots of different styles of music. People were just hanging out, talking. So much it was a really great pool party.
SPEAKER_01It was so much fun. We tried to take a nap, but we just couldn't because we didn't want to miss the rest of the party. Right. And thank God we did get a nap because then the Luel party was the the remainder of the night. Right. So they took a break. They took a break and reset the whole pool area for the night party, which was amazing. And as you can tell, it was like we walked right out of the room with still in our clothes, but we uh walked out and we uh took part in the pool party at night.
SPEAKER_00Nighttime luel party. So it was nighttime around the pool, so the lighting was fantastic out there. Um, there was excellent underlighting because of the pool deck, but then there we had laser lights above. And again, it was just a great vibe. There were some people that went into the pool um in the during the night party as well.
SPEAKER_01And I think let's take a minute to kind of to lay it out for those that are not uh watching this on YouTube and those guys that are on the podcast. So imagine this. So the hotel itself is set up with a centralized atrium-like area, pool area that's in the middle with the building all around it. So all the rooms, all the courtyard, or every all the rooms on the inside are all got balconies facing the pool. So out on the pool deck, 300 people. You had people up on the balconies partying, yeah. Well, and doing other things too. But I mean there was it was amazing, right? It was such a great vibe to include the whole, it seemed like the whole hotel was included in this party, and it was amazing. And like I said, we were able to walk right in and out to our room, and I will say, you know, we tapped out a little early last night. We did. We knew we had to work this morning, get this stuff done, and uh bring this information to you guys, the people that are really important that won't need this information. And uh, but we took tapped out a little early last night, thank God we did, because I needed to sleep. I needed to, yeah. We needed to sleep. We both needed to.
SPEAKER_00I needed to sleep. So uh today we have another uh phone party that we'll be hitting up later this afternoon. And then tonight is the nice um formal formal night. So we have I have a beautiful dress and wait, we might have to include a picture.
SPEAKER_01Um we're gonna do that. We're gonna take a picture of her sexy dress. So make sure you watch and we're gonna put it at the end just to make sure you watch. Yeah, so what's uh we're gonna put it in so you can see the sexy dress because it's it's smoking. We bought it the other day downtown. Yeah, it's fun.
Final LS Events Wrap Up
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_00All right, so that's a wrap-up of LS events. Be sure to check in the show notes for the website uh and booking information as well. Mark your calendars for October 2026 for Sultry Spirits, and then look and start planning for Mardi Grostravaganza.
SPEAKER_01Might want to train that liver up, fellas. You know, you make sure you take care of them.
SPEAKER_00When we get back, we will do our mailbag question.
SPEAKER_01Our mailbag question of the day. Yeah. Can't wait.
Mailbag: Resort Weekday Vibes
SPEAKER_01All right, we're back, and we have our mailbag question for you. And our mailbag question is Miss Cora.
SPEAKER_00It is revolving around lifestyle resorts and the weekdays. The question is, how is the vibe during the weekdays at resorts? Lifestyle resorts.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, well, uh, you know, we always say we're kind of spoiled being down in Florida, and we're spoiled many different ways. The weather, the the clubs, and I really think that's why they're down there. But uh, I think what we have actually have found, because uh again, exploring uh this realm of going to different clubs and places uh in Florida, or if you it's the better way of looking at it, if it's a destination, if it's a destination resort club that you're going to, then there's gonna be a mix of people out there throughout the week that are just like you thinking about going on a destination vacation or trip or you know, whatever it is. Um now I will say, and this is one thing again, logistically, as I normally think of, um, what we didn't think of when we're trying to plan these, you know, going to different clubs throughout the United States is that obviously in the northern hemisphere of the United States, I'd say, uh, they're only on the weekends, obviously, because that's when the clientele are available to also enjoy. So just make sure you do your homework. And uh I will say though, if you're coming to Florida to a um destination resort down there, sexy vibe throughout the week. There are some places that take over and do uh takeover events that last into the week, week, you know, extended weekends, let's call it that. Uh that you can also look just make sure you do that. But I'd say do your homework. But you know, the places I kind of my caliente uh secrets, they are just as fun during the week because there's like-minded people there with you as as as you are.
SPEAKER_00Well, a couple of the differences uh during the weekday, usually the club at night is not open. Um, and so the big club parties are going to be Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights. Great. So if you're looking for that and make sure you stay over the weekend, it's definitely a more relaxed vibe during the week. It's a lot of pool sitting, it's a lot of relaxing. But many of them have games throughout the week or they'll have different events. Some will have like karaoke on Mondays, or they'll have different uh events in the sports bar, things like that. Sunday fun day is very popular at many of these. So if if I were recommending to you to go to uh a one of these destinations and you have a week, I would recommend a Wednesday to a Wednesday because you would get the best of both worlds, right? You would get some of the downtime of the weekday, but you could get some of the partying of the night party. So that would be my desk, my recommendation.
SPEAKER_01And if you guys are hearing those sirens out there, don't worry, we're safe. And everybody in this place is safe. It's just a police car going by. We're in New Orleans. Yeah, what else do you expect?
SPEAKER_00All right. Next
Back To Florida And Closing
SPEAKER_00up on our docket, we are heading back to Florida for a month of June. And we will be hitting up secrets and caliente and hopefully doing some boating, maybe naked boating. That would be great. Oh, I know. I would love that. Um, have some time on the water and then get reset before we head back north uh for the July and the rest of the summer and fall.
SPEAKER_01Wow. I tell you, so this has been our inaugural trip out of Florida and uh going in a circle, basically. And uh I'll tell you, it's been a blast.
