Life has been life-ing lately, and keeping on top of the podcast hasn’t exactly gone to plan… but we’re still here, and the episodes will always make their way to you (eventually! 😅).
This week, we’re chatting about waiting with everything crossed for the British Hairdressing Awards results, Kirstie’s excitement as she heads off on holiday, and Jen surviving the Great Yorkshire Show traffic (and the heatwave!).
We also catch up on our gardening highs and lows, before diving into what happens when you turn 30 and suddenly your tolerance for… well, pretty much everything… disappears.
Pop the kettle on and join us for another catch-up full of laughs, life updates, and the usual honest chat.
We are back. We are fully aware that we promised that we would be going back to biweekly. Apparently, we can't keep promises. Another month has gone. Fairness to us, we did actually record one. Yeah. That was during the death of Jenny's Range Rover.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So we recorded it from The Rangey. And then my client came in. So we have actually recorded one. It's just you guys never actually got to hear it. Because we didn't have an ending for it. And now another two weeks, three weeks after that, and here's another one. So let's try again. So we're just not gonna promise. Not gonna promise. And we reckon we'll probably get one out weekly then. Yeah, maybe. If we just stop talking about it. But now we are recording from Jenny's new Tesla. Oh, I love my Tesla. Well, I'm sure you do, but your yours is still to come. Era Era updates. Jenny got a Tesla and Era One is here, Era two is here. Era two did not arrive. Gutted. Gutted. So actually turns out, you know, we have had this business for two and a half years now. Unfortunately, because we only went limited in January. You can only get one car. We don't have enough credit rating. Anyway, I actually think that's a good thing because we clearly don't put loads on credit. That's why I have no credit rating. Anyway, hopefully I'm gonna get our credit rating right up with this little car. Yeah, to be continued, wait till KB has a Tesley. A Tesley. Wait till you're driving round Harrogate and you see era one and era two, KB Jen. Yeah. Anyway, that will be the day. So era updates, we've obviously submitted our forms now for the British hairdressing awards, which took was a headache. Well it took most of June, didn't it? It took longer than the actual shute. Yeah, I mean we'd been really we started prepping for this shoot in October when we went away together, didn't we? That's the Peak District. We didn't take the boys, we just took the kids, and this is where like we started on this. So this has been a journey. We took obviously, as we talked about, went to London in April, did the shoot. We thought, oh yeah, we're good, we don't have to submit till June. Oh my effing god, the chew that took to submit. We were not prepared for that whatsoever. What a pair of idiots. We've learnt our lesson. We've learnt our lesson. I actually should have learned when we met. I met Nat at Stefano's um for dinner, and she was like, Oh, so have you got it all ready to go? And I was like, Oh no, no, we've booked out sometime next week. She was like stressing about the deadline. She was like, Jenny, how have you not learned? And I was like, Oh, I just didn't even think, you know. No, and then do you know what we have learnt now? We have learned before. We had to do it ourselves to learn. So we've also met with a PR company to get the images out there when it's ready. Now, now I just feel I feel I don't like that it's not in my control. Yeah, because he's stressing. I just cannot bear to wait for anything. I the other day I thought something was seriously wrong with you. You texted me, you were like, Jen. And I was like, oh god, she never texts like that. And then you were like, we're gonna have to get through. And I was like, oh thank God she's on about BHAs. I thought something awful had happened. But it is taking over my absolute brain. I hate, hate, hate that there's nothing more that we could do. And I hate that I want it this much. I want to get through so badly. And yeah, it's just taking over every part of you. Every part of me, Jenna. But you're gonna go on holiday, that's another week down, and then we find out on the following week, right? No, that I get back on the Saturday and we find out on the Wednesday. There you see. It's only me that's gonna have to split it out in the Yorkshire show traffic, thinking about it. You're swanning off into vineyards, drinking wine, it won't even enter your brain. I'm going to the south of France tomorrow night with Team Emsley. Jordan's parents are already there. We're staying in a jet. What is that? I think it's like a French house or like a French version of a villa. Yeah, I think a villa is Spanish and a Git is French. Git. However, said Jit doesn't have air cons, so let's see how well little effikins of AB fares in that. I couldn't cope with that. That would be a deal breaker for me, unfortunately. If there's no air con, I'd rather not get on the plane. Well, let's see. I've I'm sure it'll be lovely. Yeah, well, I'm sure it'll be lovely. I am a bit worried about the no aircon situation, but I have sent Jordan's because Jordan's parents have already set off. Well, they're there. They've driven, haven't they? They've driven, and I've put all our fans in the car. Yeah, fans I think is more bearable. But we once did a summer when I was younger in Menorca. My stepdad had a villa at the time, and the aircon had broken, so it was actually aircon that had just broken. Um, and it was actually disgusting. Like we were laid out on the tiles on a night trying to like get and then you'd hot up that part of the floor, so then you'd have to like move slightly to get the cold off the other bit of tiles. Like, that is horrific. I never want to go through that. I have got to say it is actually quite hilarious that this has happened given Jesus! Oh my Christ! It's gonna reverse park right in front of you. My god, sorry guys, but my uh my new car was about to get it. Tessie was about to get hit. Um yeah, when we went like years ago, there was no air con in there, and Jordan's cousin's now wife like literally cried on the last night. She was like, I just can't bear it anymore. I'm gonna get it. Walking through the sprinklers and stuff like that. Honestly, I can completely get it. So yeah, it's gonna be hot, but I'm really looking forward to it. I've not had a week off since well, I'm sure you're the same, I had a week off since Christmas. I'm ready for it, the kids are ready for it. But it's one of those things where like the stuff that we have been waiting for for months, like little Effie obviously still isn't talking, so we've been waiting for this speech and language appointment for months since March. And then yesterday I'm sat at my nana's house saying bye to her before I go on holiday, and my phone pings and it's speech and language, yeah. And the appointments for next Friday. What are the chances of that? And then Jordan gets a call out of the blue offering him in an interview. An interview that he hadn't even gone for, like applied for the job, they've come to him, and it's for Monday. Sorry. What are the chances when we haven't had a week off since Christmas? Yeah, that two massive things would happen that we can't go to either of them. Yeah, I know. You can literally not write it. I think that's gonna happen to me with my knee surgery, you know? Hmm. Anyway, that's another worry for a different day. A different day. So obviously that that's kind of a bit of an era update, slash a bit of Jen Hin K B update because we are era. We are era. Do you know? I will just go back quickly to the Tesla because I'm just working out, it feels a bit hot now, but I don't want to put it too high because of obviously recording. But when of the first day I got the car, I'd not really gone and done the whole like figuring it out. You know, like when you get a new iPhone and you want to get to know it. Obviously, now I can't really do that because when it arrived it was bedtime and I was like, oh, I'll just figure it out tomorrow. Anyway, I set it off when I left home on like full blast on the air con because it was free, uh boiling outside, so the air comp was blast now, so absolutely frozen. Anyway, went to go. My mum had picked up the kids, so I went to my mum's to get the kids after work and I'd driven all the way to my mum's the car was cold. Got Vi in and spent. We're driving back, and Viola was like, Mummy, it's freezing, and I was like, Oh god, it is, it is. And I was like trying to drive, trying to figure out that. I couldn't do it, so we just had to freeze all the way home. Oh, I mean it feels a wonderful temperature, mate. I mean it's a wonderful temperature, mate. Oh god, it can get cold, go. Especially because I'm sat with my foil in, as well. Oh, they'll be cooking. Yeah, they'll be cooking. Um life of a hairdresser, as you do. Um, but on that, on the air conditioning front, if anybody is listening who knows somebody who could do us some air con. Yeah. I mean, I hate these people controversial, but go on Harrogate Host and Harrogate Grumbler and all these Facebook sites and they type, can I have a full head of who can you recommend for an amazing full head of highlights and cut and blow dry for £100? Yeah, because obviously it costs what it costs. It costs what it costs, and I'm not saying that if you got it for £100 that that person wouldn't have done a great job, but the chances are the products probably wouldn't have cost that much to have done it. Then you're into a conditional da da da da da da. However, I am gonna do a shameless shout out. If there's anybody who could do us some reasonable air con, we're still waiting for one quote. We've got one quote to come back, and to be fair, we probably will end. Well, the guy who the guy that came and the ones that have corroded us are honestly so sweet. If I had the money, I would throw it at them. But it's it's extortionate, yeah. And and also if you have had any air con during this heat wave installed. Can you let us know your electric bills? Because we've been traumated. We've been traumated by that, but I also would be interested what would you think for the salon space we should be paying? Because obviously we're just two girlies.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00We don't really like we thought a certain amount and it's actually double what we're doing. Do you know what I think the problem is though? It's the headache of where the outlet goes, is why ours is so expensive. But anyway, it's by the by. Are we gonna get aircon or are we just gonna race? I actually did do the hack of the ice cubes in front of the fan today, and it did work a big difference. But I do think if we're gonna continue to get weather like this, we're gonna have to have to invest. You're right. You're right. Anyway, speaking of heat, how's your chili plant, Kirf? Oh, do you know what? I mean, I think my brother-in-law, Ethan, must be bored as hell about this chili plant. Good job, I've got BHAs. Think about because if not, this chili plant would be taking over my life. Well, it's going into bursts with show. It's going into burstsworth show, so I've had a panic on. Am I gonna even have any chilies to show at Burstworth Show? Because obviously, in like May, June, I had a storm of chilies and then I've had nothing. Anyway, great news. They're coming back. I've got three massive green chilies on there that are about to turn red. Incredible. So we're good to go. I am actually gonna bring the chili plant to work tomorrow so that you guys can look after it whilst I'm away. That's a responsibility, isn't it? Um because I think the the climate in the salon would be great. Oh right, okay. Um because it needs to be light in a window. And when's burst with show, how many weeks have you got? 26th of July, I want to say it is, isn't that? Is that a Saturday? Probably. Yes, it is. Um No, it's a Sunday. Okay, well, whatever the Saturday is. That's when we're doing a wedding. Oh, is it? Yeah, well. We'll be done by the afternoon. Good job, because I've just offered myself up to volunteer at Burstworth Show as well. Um I'm becoming a little country bumpkin, I am. You are. Do you know what? I'm not gonna lie, Kirst, after your um chilies were so incredible, I got myself a chili. And have you got any? Well, they're babies at the minute, but they've got some on there. Yeah, fabulous. And I can't wait. Well, I've just brought you in some of my potatoes today. Yeah, and your little fat carrots. Yeah, I've chucked them. Oh. I thought she's not gonna eat them. What else is in there then? No, I've I've chucked them I've just chucked them out. I thought she's not gonna eat them, I'll just chuck them. Um but the potatoes are there. Um, I had an awful experience. Actually, guys, can before I get into my awful experience with my vegetable garden, can I just say everybody who I had nine messages from people concerned about my rhododendrons. Oh. And they have I followed the advice that I was given. They've come back. They've come back to life. So, well done, everybody. Team effort. Yeah, and it turns out that actually, even though our average listening age is 28 years old, turns out we're all a gardener's world nowadays. Well, do you know what funny you say that, Kirst? Because the feedback I got was is it a hairdressing podcast or a gardening one? And I said, Well, listen, it might actually end up being a bit of a gardening one because it would see that's what we've got to do. Oh no, wait till you hear this. This is vile. Oh god. So last night I came home and I was like, Jesus, it's very hot. I'm gonna have to water this poor garden. The girls got out of the car, whatever. My mum uh my mum was with us, and Delilah ran towards the strawberries because she's loving checking how much strawberries there was no strawberries, and there was in the wire a dead bird had got a bird had got stuck, obviously tried to steal some strawberries, got stuck in the wire and died that oh my god, the smell. Oh, I can imagine. Oh god, it was awful. And then I was like just thinking everything's now been contaminated by said dead bird. Nah. Delilah's country girl, no, you can't be bothered by stuff that's oh I hated it. Delilah was like, Mummy, where's all the strawberries? I was like, uh, just just chucking them away. Oh gross. Oh, that is so funny. Now liability. Now you've got to get used to these things. I was at Izzy's the other day, and uh, she's got like a conservatory, and a bird had clearly flown into it and you know lost its life. Sad. Anyway, she didn't know it was there. So she was getting the garden ready for the girls to go out there and she'd moved the chair, which was like near the thing, and she went, I was still inside, and she was like like screaming. I thought there was like a hornet's nest or something. She was like, get the kids inside, get the kids inside. So like gathered them in, thinking, oh my god, they're all gonna get stung. I was like, what is it? And she's like, it's a dead bird. Like she wouldn't tell the children. I was like a dead bird, and she was like as if it was really wrong. I was like, Izzy, it's fine, that's normal, it's normal. The kids need to know these things, blah, blah. Anyway, she was like, I don't know what to do. I don't know what to do, we can't play outside. I was like, just give me a dog bag and I'll go get to do with a dog bag, yeah. And she was like, Oh god, I can't. I was like, No, I'll do it. And she was like, I can't believe you can do that. I said, mate, I was brought up on a grouse and pheasant shoot, that does not bother me. But I can't believe how hard it was. I know. Oh, I know. You must have been there a while if it was hard, girl. Well, I'd not noticed it, and we only picked the strawberries the day before, like I suppose if the heat it was very hot yesterday, wasn't it? And it's a taxidermy game. Oh, a bit of baked birds in my strawberry plant. Anyhow, so that's that's that was my um garden. The gardening woe of the day. But yeah, all the other advice I got was great. Um Celebrity news. There's been loads going on, hasn't there? People have been saying that we should talk about Taylor Swift's wedding, but Well, just not Swifties then. I'm not Swifty. I also don't know how I feel about in some ways I'm like a bit iconic, but in some ways I'm like, imagine being that unself aware that you would shut down New York on 4th of July weekend. Yeah. I don't if I really liked her, would I feel like that? Is that because I don't know I'm not bothered about iconic? I also just don't like the fact she doesn't like um Why do I only know her gossip girl named Blair Waldorf? Doesn't she? It's not even Blair Waldorf. The heat is getting to me. That's the two of them. Serena. Blair, Serena, Bandy. It's a Blake Clive. Blake Lively. I actually love her. Why, why? I don't understand why they don't like each other. I don't even know about that beef. But Blake Lively is causing some dramas as well. Yeah, but apparently there's beef with that about the Hendo or something. I don't know. I don't honestly care to be honest, but I really like Blake Lively, so. Yeah, I like Blake Lively. But yeah, she also obviously has fallen out with the guy that she did. That show What's that book that your mum likes? Colleen Hoover Ends With Us. Oh yeah. Um But do you know what? Aside from celebrity gossip, I am so into the sport at the minute. You are? I've been hearing you talk about tennis, and I'm like girls. I am obsessed obsessed with Wimbledon. I know you are, it's so weird. I mean, I did used to be obsessed with it when I was like younger, but I've not watched it for years, but I am obsessed. It's like and it's the matches are going on for so long, and I've got two kids to get to bed. I know, I love him. Honestly, I'm so impressed. I can overhear you conversations, you know what's going on, you know the names, you know, like Oh, little Arthur, I love him. Arthur Ferry. I mean, as I've just the one that was the underdog and he was telling me. Well, he's his parents are from Paris, but he was born in Wimbledon, so I think I love that like you know, he goes to the coffee shops in Wimbledon and they all know his name, and then like he just like obviously wild card. Yeah, and he was just doing so well. Um, bit of drama with um Djokovic because last night, I think it was last night, was it the night before? Um he was like shouting at them for closing the roof. He was like, last week you were closing at 8.30, it's only 7.40 now and you're closing it. What are the rules? You don't even know the rules, you make the rules, but you don't know the rules. Oh gosh, what do you mean close the roof? Because there's a roof on Wimbledon now, so if it rains or late like as it gets later, they can close the roof over so it's not open air. And why do they want to do that? I'm just because it was getting well, I don't know, I thought it was because it was just a little bit. And why would it bother him if there was a roof on it or not? I don't know. Anyway, he played better once the roof went on, so there was no need for him to be that. What about it? Oh he's so dramatic. Um I feel like Djokovic people love him or hate him. Weirdly, my 30th birthday party was actually at Nobu in the new the Atlantis Royal in Dubai. And he was on the table next to us, and it was that awkward thing where like I was like, don't even you know, any other celebrity, like you could sort of have a bit of a giggly fangirl, but he's just not the kind of person that you could even fang. I honestly don't think I'd know him if he walked past the car. Really? And that surprised me because you're quite sporty. And then obviously the football. The football, do you know what? Again, I am sporty, but I'm just not that bothered. Do you know what? I did not have World Cup fever at all because I was just like, no, not into it this year. I also do think, like, I didn't love it once, you know. I was super into it before because I think I really like the way that like Gareth Southgate's like raised the teeth. Yeah, yeah. And I really like enjoyed all of that, so I was into it before. And then this tournament I haven't really been as into it. But then I woke up in the middle of the night and it just happened to be during the Mexico game. God, I'm glad I woke up. It was amazing. Yeah, I think to be fair, if I was gonna watch any of them, I should have watched that one because I think it was a lot of tense moments. Oh, it was so good, so yeah, I'm all over it. I actually think I'm a bit jinxed. I think this is why I don't watch it, is because I actually do think the games I watch they lose. So I'm better off just not watching. They're probably gonna do really well because I'm not bothered about it. Okay, well, that's okay then. You carry on not being bothered. I'm just gonna carry on not being bothered because I do genuinely think that's why they're winning. Yeah, I'm so into it, I'm loving it. Nothing to do with their talent, it's all to do with whether I watch it. That's what it is. Jenny Adam and oh no, Jenny Haynesworth's watching it, so we're gonna do shit tonight, yeah. Yeah, they must know. I must be in the air. Anyway, bit of fashion curse, because I think we keep missing this section out. Oh, fashion, I'm all over it. The Morgan Clare sale is on. Yes, the Morgan Clare sale is on. Yes. My um deposit for the cards also come out, so there's no Morgan Claring for me. Well, I have got a few bits for holiday. Nice. What did you get? Um Faithful Brand. I got two dresses. One of them. I also like that they go in small, medium, and large. Because I feel with the dresses I find it really hard because I'm like an 8 to 10 on top, but I'm a 10 to 12 on the bottom. So I often find shopping for dresses quite difficult. Yeah. But small, medium, large, I find easier to dress. It's easier, yeah. True. Because all over I'm just a medium-sized dress. I do think the fits at the minute on dresses are nice anyway, because it's not we're not going body card. No, it's very both of them are very, very nice. Which I wasn't actually sure whether would suit me because I've got quite broad shoulders and broad hips and I go in at my waist. And I thought, well, I like that the shape, yeah. Um, but actually they're so easy to wear. Obviously, Morgan Claire is that a little bit more expensive, but when they have a sale, they do have a sale. And I do think the bits that I do get from that are quite like timeless. Oh, is that always timeless? Like they always, you know, like they're trusty, you can bring them out year after year, and this like because they're not like mega on trend right now. Yeah. They do last a really long time. So I do think they're more of like an investment. And like I said, when they have a sale, they have a really good sale. Today they've just gone into further reduction. So get yourselves there, yeah, listeners. Yeah. And then with a little holiday bitch, do you know where I got because I thought like a good mix. So I got some like timeless dresses for there that I'll like wear for the vineyard and that kind of thing. Um, and then Pretty Little Thing had a great sale, and I just thought, do you know what? For I got maybe three or four like two-piece sets, and I was like, do you know what? I think they cost me maybe like 17 pounds each. I was like, if I just wear them for like this summer, it's not a product, you know. Um because then you don't feel as guilty like getting rebuying. Um and the fashion is a bit like that at the minute. But I am such a hypocrite. Oh, that's me. Sorry. Oh god. But I am such a hypocrite because obviously, like I said before, when I was in Dubai, I absolutely would not have done something like that because I'm like, oh, I'm not about fast fashion. But now I am. Now you are. Yeah. Well, speaking of fast fashion, I that fash fashion I can't get my words out. Fast fashion. I have just done a tiny little shop on Sheen. Because I've just got no like I've got about three items of summer clothing because then I figured out I was pregnant through quite a lot of summers. So yeah. So I don't actually have many summer dresses, and the one summer dress that I love, my blue one with the lemons on it, that's actually from Primark and it was like it has seen me through. Straps broken. Oh no. And because it is Primark, it's a bit flimsy, so the f the strap isn't unfixable. Okay, fair enough. Unless I sh like I'd have I think I'd have to fully chop them off and provide new straps. Yeah, for a Primark dress. It seems a bit extra, but then I love it. Exactly. And I do just think the actual rest of the dress is there. I just need straps. Well, I actually did have to I bought a top from Zara for holiday, and then so annoyingly, my sister-in-law Leah bought the same one in the sale the week after. But in the meantime, I'd just it's hard to explain for like the sake of the podcast, but do you know when you sit just like on a the little bit of your top? Yeah. And I sat down and the strap pinged and it was my first time wearing it. So I did actually sew that back together because it was just so annoying that that had happened on the first. Yeah. I'm all for a bit of fixing up if you can't. Yeah. I would have definitely just sewn this little strap, but it it it's not got enough tiny, yeah. I mean it's not got any go. So yeah, went on sheen. They've got some gorgeous little dresses, they're probably going to be see-through, so I'll just cross that bridge when it comes to it. But it's also dead easy to send stuff back with them, so I they have a tide to keep it and give you the money back. Yeah, which is wild with the stuff for the shoe. We got a refund, but they just said keep the stuff. It's normally jewellery, I think, that they do it with because once you've worn it, they don't really want to. Yeah, but then just don't say that there's no front refunds on jewellery. But anyway, great for us, but yeah, great for us. And you know, hopefully they're gonna be fine these items. Larisse always shops at she and she looks fantastic. Honestly, when I'm even like I was talking to I was doing a bridal consultation yesterday, and we were talking about who was gonna be the second hat, like the second person to help me with the wedding. And um she said, Oh, is that that girl who's like really edgy every time I come in the salon? She's got the best outfit. Even today, she looks so cool. Yeah, like a full-on headscarf on, she looks great. Headscarf, bright pink and red, stripy trousers, she looks fabulous. If I look like that, I would look like I was off to join the circus, which is something that I have actually done since I last recorded the podcast. Do I have a circus? Yeah, I went to see you take that circus twice with my mum because she's the biggest take that fan girl. I know I love that you went twice. That is so funny. Love it. So fashion, we've gone we've gone, we've in summer, and you didn't think actually you were saying you're not an in-betweeny. Yes. I I hate like autumn fashion and because it's like for for me, autumn. I'm thinking, when can I bring the leather trousers out? When is it when is it too soon to wear a pair of boots? Whereas like summer and winter, I know where I'm at, I know what colours I'm wearing, yeah, I know what shapes I'm doing. I know where I'm got it. And then another thing that we have done, I wouldn't say this is fashion as such, but it's helped us with our confidence for our fashion is our Botox. Shout out to Blush. Shout out to Blush. Um, I got my recommended two blush from two of my clients. Um, and I've been trying to find somewhere to have my Botox done. I've only had it done once since I got back. Shout out to M, but now obviously she's not really holding a clinic in Harrygate anymore now that she's opened hers in castle. So I was finding it like really difficult because you're loyal. I'm loyal, but also when I was in Dubai, one of my best friends we went and got Botox together, and the poor thing, her forehead like dropped forwards. No, so it was like she was constantly angry. And obviously, it freezes like that, so she was stuck like that for about three or four months. Now she can laugh about it, but at the time it obviously wasn't very funny. Um so I've just had this in my head, like what if that happens? Anyway, I'm I'm really feeling the effects of it now and looking happy with it. Happy with it. Are you happy with yours? Well, I had my first experience, didn't I? So I went in because I've got crow's feet and I look so young. I went into Basley the other day and I was actually a little bit fuming that I wasn't I did because I think I look underaged. Well, that and between between our Botox and our Sarah Chapman, oh yes, Millie, gorgeous Millie, got us a great deal, didn't she? And actually, I went in Space N care yesterday and they do sell Sarah Chapman in Space and Care. Um, but yeah, I definitely think their eye cream so good. Yeah, game changer, so look at us looking after our skin. And I've been getting into that red light infrared stuff when my sister got me that for my birthday. I've never actually done that. It's really, I mean, you just sit there and it's does its thing, but yeah, I'm I'm I'm giving it. Do you know what I've done the opposite of that? Have you? Let your skin go. No, not now. I have been on two sun beds in preparation for my holiday. I mean, I know, and I'm such a hypocrite. Well, I I'm saying it's my thought you should do before your holiday. Yeah, I mean, my one, my eczema had gone really bad, so one, like it's cleared it up in two rows. But also, one, I was scared, am I just gonna fry? Because obviously everybody else has been on holiday already this year except for me. And two, I I go through this thing of like, oh my god, no, I I can't do it. I'm so scared of getting skin cancer, and then just like brown fat is nicer than white fat. Although I've had that reformed matcha that's been helping me loads. Yeah. What do you think it does? Well, I was a little bit sceptical because obviously every time I opened my phone on Facebook or Instagram, I had another influencer telling me Sorry, Jenny's phone ran out of storeboys. It's like give us you get five points if you guess. So, as I was saying, every time I opened my phone, I was getting like bombarded by a reformed matcha. And usually that actually makes me not want to buy something. If everything's been heavily influenced, I wouldn't be there. I don't believe in it. But I was like, do you know what? This is something that I want to try. The benefits were it's got collagen in it, um, fuller for longer, and to be honest, I'm falonga. Fuller for longer. Oh, fuller for longer. Falonga in it. I'm like, oh longer with my chips, you know. Um so yeah, I was thinking do you know what? Ho ho give it a go. I love that it came with the glass, the wisp, yadda yadda yadda.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So I've not been fancy with it. Like I said, I've just had 250 millilitres of semi-skimmed milk with it. Yeah. Whisked it up, and do you know what? I'm thoroughly enjoying it, and I'm having that refreshing. Refreshing, it's keeping me full all morning. I'm not like getting like hungry at work. I have noticed you're very cool as a cube. Yeah, and I just think it's that. That's so good. Maybe I need that because I think I turned 30 and I've just got zero fucking tolerance for anything. Like it's really bad. I'm really noticing it at the moment. Like I really have no tolerance. And normally I was such a let it slide kind of gal. I get what you're saying, but all of a sudden I turned 30 and just felt I needed to take on the wheel, tell everybody what they were doing wrong. You know. And then in my twenties, I would have been frightened to tell people what they were doing wrong. Because I would have been scared to upset anyone or offend anyone. And in my 30s, I think, you know what? That's really upsetting me, I'm gonna tell you.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00But now I feel I've entered like I also can't be asked. Yeah, no, I guess. Yeah. I do think, yeah, I turned dirty and I'm just like But they say that, don't they? That you really like narrow you narrow down as you get older, like you know, you sort of spend your time with it stuff. I think, yeah, it's probably critical. And I think that's the thing. My first obviously it's literally two years ago today, since we moved back from Dubai, like how old is that? And I feel I've really narrowed down in these past two years. And I'm beginning to branch out a little bit more now, like, oh do you know what? Like, I enjoy spending time with you, so I'm gonna spend like I'd just gone so narrow because I was like, do you know what? I'm in full-on protective mode. Yeah. And um Yeah, I'd be like definitely in that in terms of that, I'd been good. Like I'd done lots of uh children's party. I've done loads of children's parties today. I would have just been like absolutely not we're not going. Whereas I do think I've been a bit more open-minded than that and like getting to know people and not just sticking with like my clothes little knit, which I obviously uh adore. But yeah, I've been branching out. I've been branching out a little bit. I've been pretending I've just been zero tolerant of other things. Yeah, no, I think that's fair. Yeah. I'm always fair. You are very fair. I am very fair. If nothing else, I should be like, I should be a politician because I think I am really balanced at the time. If only they were balanced. If only they were that's what I mean though, they need someone like me that I understand what you're saying. But however, do you know what? You got that from your mum. I do, my mum's exactly that. Yeah, we've just started a little book club, haven't we, Jen? And so it's me, Jen's sister, who's also my best friend, Jen's mum and Jen's aunt. Shout out to Auntie Ange and Grandma Caroline. Um it's actually quite an interesting book club because I do actually think they're all quite into different book genres. Yeah. Having said that, the one that I've now picked, I wouldn't say is my full genre. I would be more of a thriller girl, but I thought it was a really interesting. Well to throw in for the book club, which is The Princess, um, which is about the Saudi Arabian princess, and it's you know, written by her. Um and I just thought from an educational point of view it was quite interesting. Yeah, I'm really interested to read it actually. I'm just finishing off The Last Housemaid, I'm nearly there. And then I'm gonna get up and go. Is that a foil that's just full? Do you know what that means, Kurt? I think we should wrap this up. Wrap this up and rinse these foils. Rinse. Rinse these fools. Get Kirs the foils out before she loses all her hair. So 25 degrees it is outside. Honestly, unbelievable. Right, right. Hope you enjoyed. Chow ciao. We've missed loads of sections out, but I think that's just the way it's gonna be now. This is our live server. See you later, see you later.
