Welcome back, fellow yogis, to our podcast Soul Deep Yoga and Healing. And happy, happy spring. Next to me, I have my co-host Kimmy.
SPEAKER_00And I have my co-host Brittany.
SPEAKER_01Awesome. Well, getting right into it, dude. Isn't it a whizzy a whizzy, a busy, busy week.
SPEAKER_00Yes, it has. We've been all over the place. We've been doing all sorts of stuff. So we did our spring equinox celebration this last week. Um, it was absolutely phenomenal. It was the first spring equinox we've been able to host outside, and the weather was perfect. It's got a little tiny red.
SPEAKER_01I got something. We got some, yeah. Yeah, we got lines, guys, over here. We got 10 lines already. I love it. It was so nice, and it was just perfect. It was perfect.
SPEAKER_00Spring Equinox outside. 10 out of 10, recommend. Yeah. I hope next year we're able to do the same thing.
SPEAKER_01Me too. And we were at the perfect location. We were at, um, I know we've mentioned this before, but we got to host it at um Hemsley Ranch here in Preston, Idaho, and I couldn't have asked for a better location for our spring equinox. It was especially the spring. It was they had some baby animals out there, which just like added to the experience.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, some baby Highland cows and some horse horses.
SPEAKER_01Um not sure if those were their racehorses, if they were just like horses, but yeah, it was it was really fun. Um okay, so what was you? I have to ask, what was your favorite part about the whole entire spring equinox? I know that there was a lot, but they're like, yeah, what stood out the most?
SPEAKER_00Okay, it's hard to decide, and we're gonna talk about it more, but probably my overall favorite thing that we did this year that we incorporated um was an Easter egg hunt. That was like I think that was my favorite because so around the property that we're on, it was like the perfect little loop to go take a nice little walk after we ate dinner. And so prior, Brittany and I had put together some Easter eggs with some sweet treats, some crystals, some fun things, and in our golden eggs, we had three of them. We put in some uh free class passes, a six-class punch pass, and uh a free sound bath pass for like the the top three, and it was so fun. I loved I personally think that adults should always have an Easter egg, yeah, you know, and it's not often that they get to, so it was really fun because it was all adults there. It was and I'm like all right laughing and we were little kids, totally in our kid chair. It was so awesome. I think everyone like run, like it was so funny to see who was like, Oh, I want to see the animals, and some people were like, Screw the animals, I'm gonna go look for the eggs, you know. Like it was just oh, it was so fun. I love that we did that, and it was just also a good reminder. I mean, like the Easter egg hunt is like symbolic the eggs of like the fertility, the growth, the season that we're in, and it was just it was also fun to get like the energy move and the creativity and like the inner child out, you know. It was so fun. Oh, it was great.
SPEAKER_01What was your favorite part? Okay, my favorite part is is even though we do this every year, or for actually not every year, but like for every event that we do, um, we got to add something a little extra to our swag bags this year. Yes. So I need to give a big shout out to Ivy Jade Aesthetics here in Preston, Idaho. They hooked all of our students up with these awesome goodie bags. Um Ivy Jade Aesthetics is a aesthetic spa. Aesthetic spa here. They do facials, um, lashes, waxing, um derma planing, derma planing. They have like um some, they have like a machine, a glacier machine. Glacial, okay. Yeah, I was gonna be like, I could be botching that, but yeah, they do all sorts of stuff over there. Um we highly recommend them. Um, but inside the goodie bags, they had a facial cleanser. I mean, which is fucking good quality. Really good cleanser quality. It's the Lira Brand body stuff.
SPEAKER_00Yes, and yeah, oh my gosh, I love dope. I know they got a face everywhere.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it was so funny walking around with your eye patches the next morning.
SPEAKER_00I'm like, oh, I need these. Yeah, some under-eye patches, which were just oh so nice. They felt so good. There was a scrubbing pad in there for your body. And I used that last night after I got out of the shower, and I felt so I felt like I had Botox. Like my skin was just like so tight and clear and shiny, and I was just like, uh, I need more of this. And I felt so fresh and so new, which was just perfect with the season that works.
SPEAKER_01And that was the whole thing when they when they reached out, they were like, hey, spring renewals, fresh, new, bright skin. I'm just like, I love that you guys just know.
SPEAKER_00Yes. So thank you, Riley and Emily. Yes, I really appreciate you. And our students appreciate, they were so stoked to get that. They're like, What? Are you for real? And we're like, heck yeah. So thank you, thank you. That was that was awesome.
SPEAKER_01I think that was one of the the highlights to the night was was getting that because in the past, earn I guess we did it for the winter solstice. We did a sugar scrub one year for the yeah, for the winter solstice, but yeah. Um yeah, spring, spring even ox.
SPEAKER_00Woo! That was that was a blast. It blew my mind. Yeah, let's so going into like kind of our segments, our love hates. Um, my love for this week um was seeing Brittany just absolutely take over and take control our charcuterie board slash grazing table that we did for spring knocks. Britney was blowing my mind. So, like, before we host these events, I usually get like a vision board or something and be like, here's like my inspo, here's what I think we should do. And I literally showed Brittany one picture of a charcuterie board. It was like a vegetable platter that was just pretty and cute, and I was like, I think we should do things like this. Brittany took over, and she was she was making roses out of salami, she was making a yin-yang board, she was doing the river of cheese, the book. The river of cheese. Brittany just went into this creative flow state and just our food was probably the best food that we've ever done before. It was so nutritious, it was pretty much just vegetables, meat, and cheeses. We did have but also. But listen, that the bread. The bread. I'm such a bread person. I love carbs, I love a good bread. And Brittany, the day of our event, homemade some French bread, which is like the whole time I was cooking in the oven, I was just salivating. I was like, oh, and then it was so good. The French bread was amazing, and then our Qigong instructor, Leia, also made us some sourdough bread.
SPEAKER_01Oh the sourdough bread was gone by the end of the night. Yep. Me and Kimmy special ordered jalapeno cheddar. Jalapeno cheddar. Did you try some of the yesterday? And fried mine, toasted mine, and uh, put some cream cheese on top. Oh, stop, I'm hungry.
SPEAKER_00So good. I am too now. Oh, but yeah, our food was just, it was beautiful. It was so good. And Brittany, you blew me away. I kind of blew myself away, actually, because I was like, I just kept was like, who know? You're like, dang, this looks good.
SPEAKER_01I know, I was like, I didn't know I could do this because literally I I kept telling you for two days, I was like, I don't know how to eat off a charcuterie board. Like, what do you do? Do you just like get a plate and and just like grab food? Like I had no understanding of a charcuterie board, and I just like pumped them out like nothing. Yes, it was it was wild. But you though, Kimmy, you were a phenomenal sous chef. I was like, I need this, this, and this. What are you doing with that? Dude, you you you were there for the cutting of the cheese. Oh yeah, I cut all the cheeses, the cubes came from Kimmy. Um, but it was like it was just like interesting because that was definitely a moment where like because we definitely had switched rules in that moment. Like, you you come in and you're really good at like getting the mats out, getting the bags set up where they need to be, and I get a little frazzled and I'm like and then or like I don't know what to do, so I'm just like piddling around.
SPEAKER_00Uh-huh. Yeah, it was it was interesting because the years prior, it's always been like usually a place that I've hooked us up with to be like, okay, like we're do, we're hosting here, we're doing this, and it's like things that I'm comfortable with. This one was complete 180. It was like your spot where you're comfortable with, and it's like you took charge and you put me to work, and so it was it was fun to like.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we we didn't set up mats at all this year because that there was so much space in the yard that it was just set up where you want. Yeah, um, it was awesome. Even inside the house when we moved the furniture around a little bit, like there was so much room and the sound on the sound bath oh the sound it carried beautifully beautifully through that house. Like, could you imagine if people were actually in the bedsleep to a sound bath? We just pack up quietly.
SPEAKER_00I know goodnight, everybody. Yeah, sounds good.
SPEAKER_01That was just I do I I this spring equinox actually kind of like blew my mind with everything that we did and everything that was like it was it was I keep some, yeah. I keep reminiscing on it. I'm like, I can't believe we did that. But more so the food. The food just kind of blew my mind. We're gonna we're gonna make a special post on that because just what we have up now doesn't do justice. Like we have some videos and stuff, and that was it was just that was phenomenal.
SPEAKER_00That was a great so thank you for all of our friends, all of our students that came and celebrated with us, and huge thanks to the Hensleys for um letting us use the property. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, it was beautiful, absolutely beautiful, highly recommend. They'll be looking to come visit Preston, Idaho.
SPEAKER_01Go go to the ranch, like they have an Airbnb account set up, like you can rent them out, you can host events there, we've done weddings, we've sorry, not we, they I uh actually so I I cleaned the Airbnb out there, so like um so Brittany's familiar with all the stuff that goes on, but it's absolutely beautiful out there.
SPEAKER_00So that was your yoga love. Do you have a yoga hate today? You know, I do have a hate. I am filled with so much love and gratitude, but I feel like the only thing that I should have planned better for, which was fine because I did have stuff for it, but um, I didn't expect the mosquitoes to be out. Oh, is that why I have bites all over me? Yes. Okay, so I didn't like all day because we were out there all day. I didn't feel any mosquitoes when we were out there sitting up and hanging out in the yard, but halfway through our yoga flow, I started feeling them, and there was one that landed on my arm and I smacked it. So immediately after we got done with yoga, that's when I went and grabbed the bug spray that we have. Ah, okay, yeah. Um, that's why I put it out. But yeah, that was just my only that's my only hit. I love doing yoga outside. There's just something that hits different with the sun on your face and on your fingertips. And it gave me better verb. The fresh air. Like it was phenomenal. Reach for the sun, guys. Gather that sun through your fingertips. It was so good. Um, but yeah, don't don't love the bugs in outdoor yoga. That's the only thing. Yeah, it's like it definitely does distract you because if you feel something crawling on you, you're like, what is that? Freak out. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Don't want one of that. That was the only thing.
SPEAKER_00Imagine staying professional while there's a spider on you, Kim. I know. Well, like for the summer um solstice and the fall equinox, we usually plan for that. Like we have like citronella candles and stuff around. I thought about the bug spray, but I was like, I didn't think that the bugs were even out yet. So that's why I was like, mosquitoes already? Like it's March. I know.
SPEAKER_01And and to end the night, we had our first s'mores of the year. Oh yeah. Yes.
SPEAKER_00The fire at the end. The fire at the end. Oh, and the sunset. So right as we're like finishing up the Easter egg hunt right before the sound bath, we're walking and just watching the sunset, and the sunset was beautiful. Oh, absolutely the amount of stars and the moon and just everything. Like it's like for her jumping.
SPEAKER_01We could have like the stargazing out there on the ranch. Oh, absolutely, it's amazing.
SPEAKER_00Oh my gosh, guys, because there's trees on the property, but it's like not enough trees to where it blocks your view of the sky. You know what I mean? Like it's still shaded and beautiful, but like and it's open, but you can still look up and see the whole sky, which is so cool. Yeah, I love my friends from Salt Lake. I was like, all right, everybody, because they're all walking over to do s'mores, and I was like, hey, pause for a second and just look up.
SPEAKER_01And they all looked up and they're like, the moon and the like the white.
SPEAKER_00But you're not used to being able to see the stars like this, like look up, you know, and they're all like, Whoa, oh, I love the stars here.
SPEAKER_01I love that for them. I love that they got to come up here and experience that. And I know that your friends and your family ate it up, they loved it. I love them. And your sister Ariel, she's been to almost all of them. Yes. In fact, I think she's only missed one out of all the ones that we've done. And um, I'd be curious to hear her more of her opinion because she's seen all of the she's been to the gingerbread shop, she's been up Cub River, she's been here, she's she's been, yeah. Yeah, fun.
SPEAKER_00Did you have any love or love or hate you wanted to share?
SPEAKER_01Okay, yeah. So I'll I'll start with my hate. My hate is the event hangovers.
SPEAKER_00Uh, it's so real. That's a good one. Yeah, yes. Well, I mean, we were on our feet from hours 6 a.m. until 11 o'clock when we got done. I know. So, yeah, crash. The energy hangover is real. We I fell asleep at 7 o'clock last night. Didn't wake up till this morning.
SPEAKER_01Well, I was getting butt hurt last night because I was like, I just want to lay down and read my book. Yeah, I just want to do nothing now. Like, I'm tired. Yeah. Um, also, I have to say, for my love, um, I loved the group that we had at Spring Equinox. Yes, I agree. That was it. It was a good group. It was a good group. It was a little bit smaller, but that was that was on accident. We accidentally planned spring equinox during spring break.
SPEAKER_00During well, the start of spring break. Well, I mean, that's yeah, but the line. Um we would have had a bigger group, but we did have some people canceled the day of, sadly. Um for family emergency, but that was it. Totally makes sense.
SPEAKER_01The group that we had was great.
SPEAKER_00It was it was out, it was absolutely awesome.
SPEAKER_01We rock, we bonded over rocks.
SPEAKER_00All of us bonded there. I feel so much closer with everybody that came.
SPEAKER_01I was just saying a good bonding experience. And I haven't really felt that at any of our other events. Oh, I kind of feel that. And like it was a house setting, and it was just like this, like it it brought like the comfort of like the of your home there.
SPEAKER_00It was so interesting to feel. Did you hear everybody when they're all gathering in for the sound bath? You're like, I feel like I'm at a sleepover. And I was like, honestly, we should have done a sound bath sleepover. But right? We should have. We should have just like, hey, hop in bed. Good night, everybody. Like, oh my gosh, what a way to end a night. Yeah, maybe here soon we'll host a retreat out there, and that could be a possibility.
SPEAKER_01We'll see.
SPEAKER_00We'll see.
SPEAKER_01Um yeah, okay, so I have an FMK for you. All right, let's hear it. And it's funny because we were talking about it earlier and we were both complaining about our domesticated duties. Oh no. Okay, let's hear it. Okay, FMK, dishes, laundry, bathroom.
SPEAKER_00I'm killing bathroom. I hate cleaning my bathroom. That's always like I hate doing that one. Um, I'd yeah, I'd marry my dishes and I'd have my laundry. I think I also don't love doing laundry, but I don't mind doing dishes. Okay. What would you do? What would you pick? I'm killing all of them. Ideally, I'd love to do the same.
SPEAKER_01Um, that's a really hard decision. Because I really want to kill dishes and bathroom. Yeah. Okay. I'm gonna kill I'm gonna kill bathroom. Mary Laundry and F dishes, because that can be whatever I want.
SPEAKER_00That's funny. Um, alright, should we do our poll of the day? Yes, let's do our pull of the day. Okay, so Britt, we are pulling from the Comfy Cozy Witch Oracle Deck, and Brittany pulled the book magic card. Its words are learn and grow. And with these readings, it comes with a mantra, a message, and a prompt for you. Starting off with your message, or excuse me, not your message, your mantra. I constantly learn and grow, expanding my mind and nurturing my spirit. Message. Brook books are portals to knowledge and transformation and are vital to a spiritual practice. Each page turned is an opportunity to expand your mind, to enrich your spirit, and to discover new perspectives and practices. This card invites you to develop to delve into the magic of books. Embrace the wisdom and inspiration that books offer you on your journey of self-discovery and magical growth. Choose books that resonate with your current paths and interests, whether that be fiction or nonfiction. Create a reading ritual by dedicating each or dedicating time each day to reading pages of a book about your craft. Engage in conversations about the books you read. Journal your thoughts, learnings, and insights to solidify this new knowledge. It's important to always be learning and growing in your journey. Which is so true. Learning every day. That's how we keep on, keeping on. And then the prompt is what topics in the spiritual world or books have I been meaning to explore to grow my magical practice. So this is your reminder if there's things that you've been wanting to learn about or dive deep into, this is your time to continue learning about it and to grow. And this is the season of growth. We just celebrated Spring Econoxiday of Balance. And from this day forward, we're getting more and more light. We're growing into that light and into who we want to be. Become Summer Solstice. So this is a good card. That is a good card.
SPEAKER_01Learn and grow because we all gotta do that, right? I'm really excited about today's thing. Um we are going to be talking about the masculine and feminine energy. And um, so we're gonna, I'm gonna come in, we're gonna talk about the yoga philosophy first before we actually like I'm sorry you guys, not like phone dropping on the floor. That's alright. Um, we're just gonna start with a little bit of yoga philosophy so we kind of have like a history behind it, where it comes from, and so that can help us understand it a little bit more because sometimes when we get into these different parts of yoga, they can start getting confusing. So long before we had words like balance or burnout, ancient ancient traditions understood that life itself was a dance between two forces. In ancient Taoism, there is a symbol you've probably seen, the yin and yang, which when I was reading all of this, I was like, hey, we got a logo. Our yin is in the logo. It's a circle split into black and white, but what's important is this each side holds a piece of the other. Yin, the feminine, is the dark, the moon, the inward, the intuitive. Yang, the masculine, is the light, the sun, the outward, the active. But neither exist alone. The ancients believed that when one energy becomes too dominant, life begins to feel off. Not because anything is wrong, but because the dance has been interrupted. And this idea wasn't just in one place. In yogic philosophy, there are two energy channels in the body Ida, the feminine cooling intuitive flow. Pingala, the masculine, heating, active force. These energies weave up the spine, crossing back and forth almost like a brain. Balance wasn't about choosing one. It was about allowing both to move freely so that life could move through you. Even in ancient mythologies, we see this pattern. Creation stories often begin not with one force but with two. A stillness and a movement, a void and a spark, a container and what fills it. And somewhere along the way, especially in our modern world, we started favoring one over the other. We praise productivity but forget presence. We celebrate softness but sometimes avoid structure. So this isn't about learning something new, it's about remembering something ancient. That within you already exists the doer and the dreamer, the structure and the flow, the fire and the water. And your work isn't to pick one, it's to let them dance together. The feminine and masculine energy are not about gender. They're energetic forces that exist within all of us. Think of them as a way of being of being rather than identities. Again, your masculine has structure, direction, and action. Feminine is the flow, intuition, and receptivity. We need both. One creates the container, the other fills it. Masculine energy, doing, leading, providing, protecting. On an energetic level, they're going to appear linear, forward-moving, gold-oriented, spiritually, purpose-driven, disciplined, rooted in direction and truth. Emotionally, they process emotions through action or problem solving. And physically, the masculine energy is associated with strength, stability, and structure. So structure, thinking, spine, your muscles, your posture, asanas and yoga. Healthy masculine looks like setting clear boundaries, taking aligned action, leadership without control, and a grounding presence. Feminine energy being is simply being, feeling, receiving, and creating. On an energetic level, they are cyclical, they're flowing, and they're intuitive. Spiritually, they're deep connected, they surrender easily, trust in the unseen. Emotionally, they feel deeply, they express more, and they're nurturers. Physically, this is linked to softness and fluidity, their breath and our hips and our heart space.
SPEAKER_00Also, jumping in here, so the right side is of your body is typically associated with the masculine side, and the left side is associated with your feminine. So right side being your Ida, and the left side being your pingala. And then they move up the energy spine to create balance. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So if you're healthy feminine, and that's gonna look like intuition and inner knowing, emotional expression, creativity and pleasure, trust and surrender. And so how do they work together? Masculine energy builds the container, feminine energy fills it with life. For example, masculine energy is going to say, We're showing up at 6 a.m. Feminine energy is gonna say, How do I feel when I'm there? So without masculine, there's gonna be chaos, overwhelm, and lack of direction. Without feminine, you're gonna experience burnout, rigidity, and disconnection. All right, signs that you may be out of balance. So if you have too much masculine energy, this is the overdrive mode. There's constant doing, can't rest, burnout or exhaustion, control issues, perfectionism, disconnected from emotions, feeling like you always have to hold it together. If you are too much on the feminine side, this is the unanchored mode here. So you're gonna feel overwhelmed, scattered, difficulty making decisions, avoidance or procrastination, emotional flooding, lack of boundaries. And so, how can we tell which energy is dominant? Some things that you can ask yourself are: do I struggle more with slowing down or taking action? Do I avoid feeling or getting lost in my feelings? Do I feel safe in structure or resistant to it? And masculine dominance often comes from survival mode, trauma requiring control or protection, over responsibility, conditioning to push through. Female dominance often will come from avoidance of pressure or structure, feel fear or failure, desire for freedom without grounding, emotional overwhelm. Which I think we all can relate to that.
SPEAKER_00Absolutely. That's why it's like when it says that it's not related to gender, it's like there's the feminine and the masculine in every single thing that we do, and it's finding the balance between the both because otherwise we're out of balance and we're we're gonna feel that if we are.
SPEAKER_01So now that we know, like if we're imbalanced, what is so dominating? How do we create balance? So if you're too in masculine, you want to practice slowing down intentionally. That means maybe if you're working four jobs, maybe it's time you give one up. Maybe you let one. You can slow down. Um, practice stillness. Um, in the yoga world, we're gonna tell you to do some meditation or some yin yoga, maybe even some restorative still.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, take time to slow down to practice that the fluidity, the fluidity, yes.
SPEAKER_01Um, let yourself feel without fixing.
SPEAKER_00Feelings are important, they're there for a reason. They're trying to teach you something. So allow yourself to feel, and feel it without guilt. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Create something without a goal in mind.
SPEAKER_00Tapping into that creative side, that fun, fluid side. Yeah. Um, yeah, just embracing the joys in life. It doesn't always have to be so serious. It's just like, okay, but what brings me happiness? What brings me joy? What brings me creativity and hope?
SPEAKER_01Receive help. And that one's a good one because guys, it's just help is hard. It is hard, easier said than done. I don't like to ask for help too. But sometimes if I don't, I get a little masculine dominant and I'll go to 0100 real quick. So ask for help. It's it's truly, it's truly okay. Even if it's just a little help, you'll notice a relief. So if you're too into the feminine side to create balance here, you're gonna set small, clear goals coming back to those baby steps.
SPEAKER_00Take baby steps, guys. Bringing in that goal orientation, that drivenness, that masculine energy, and just make sure that they're attainable. Yes, nothing big here, small steps, building routines. Yes, this is a great one, and being consistent, like being consistency, yeah, the consistency part behind it is important.
SPEAKER_01Take one grounded action daily. We were all all spring equinox, we didn't have shoes or socks on. Walking out with barefoot. So grounding, like go outside, step your step your feet out into the grass for two seconds, take a couple of breaths, take a moment of stillness.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, close close your eyes in the closet, just bring awareness to your feet. Think about the the ground beneath you. Take a moment to ground, strengthen boundaries.
SPEAKER_01Um 100%.
SPEAKER_00Creating clear boundaries helps you prevent from emotional overwhelm and burnout and from that because it can be exhausting.
SPEAKER_01Follow through even when you don't feel like it. Yeah, that is the once you like once you completely follow through, it's it just feels so good to complete something off your task list or or whatever the case may be. Getting it done, just getting it done. So there's one more layer I want to add to this conversation that I want to gently introduce. So in yoga philosophy, these masculine and feminine energies don't just exist conceptually, they actually move through the body in what we know as the chakra system. Chakras are energy centers that run along the spine, each one holding different aspects of our physical, emotional, and spiritual selves. Each chakra carries its own balance of feminine and masculine energy. Some chakras are more grounded, structured, and stabilizing, holding that masculine anchoring force, while others are more fluid, expressive, and intuitive, holding that feminine flowing energy. And just like we talked about today, when these energies fall out of balance, we can feel it in our bodies, our emotions, and our lives. Absolutely. And I kind of want to share an experience. I kind of was talking to you and like your little and like the group after like full spring equinox, and I mentioned to you that when we went and did our kundalini workshop last year, that since then I had been dealing with um this like hip thing. It just feels like something is stuck in my hip. And I'm like, and I've been dealing with it ever since, and so I um I'm a firm believer that there's something I need to work on in one of my chakras. Like, yeah, there's some like I'm just yeah, but I've also like the way I grew up, and like obviously there's gonna be things that come up when you take a kundalini class, yes. So if you haven't taken a kundalini, beware. Um, it does do things, it awakens it awakens things, and like we were kind of just joking around that. Like, I'm like, dude, I think I'm fighting some demons here.
SPEAKER_00It's all about what you're ready for, though, right? Like, you don't want to just like jump into Kundalini if you're not ready for it because it yeah, it kind of stuff.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, should have known that going in.
unknownThat's okay.
SPEAKER_01That's okay, yeah, exactly. Um, but I I actually did the experience itself with Kundalini was really good in general. So um Kimmy's gonna move into our note card section of this.
SPEAKER_00Yes, and then Brittany will lead us into a guided meditation. Um, so for our note card activity, um, go ahead and grab note card, grab a pen, a marker, whatever you need to write. Um, and on the the front side of your card, you're gonna split it in half, put a light uh a line right down the middle. On your left side, you're going to write feminine representing your left and lunar side. On the right side, you're going to write masculine representing your masculine, your son's side. And once you have your cards split and you have each side labeled, looking over to the masculine side, you're going to answer this question. Where in my life am I forcing, controlling, or overworking myself? Take time to reflect on this question and just write down some answers without judgment. This is all just about getting to know yourself better and bringing balance back to the body. So, again, that question is where in my life am I forcing, controlling, or overworking myself? You can just reflect mentally on these questions as well. Take as much time as you need, feel free to pause if you need time to reflect. And over on the feminine side, you're going to answer the question where do I feel emotionally overwhelmed or scattered? Again, where do I feel emotionally overwhelmed or scattered? No judgment here, just be honest with yourself. And maybe noticing that one side was easier to answer than the other. And looking at these two, I want you to circle whichever one you resonate with more. Right now, you're leaning maybe more into masculine energy. Maybe you're leaning more into the feminine energy. Just circle the one that you relate to more right now. And when you're done with that, you're going to flip your card over. And up at the top, you're going to write, to come back into balance, I will dot dot dot fill in the sentence. So, for example, if you are very high feminine energy and you need to bring in some masculine energy into your body, um, maybe that's completing one task that you've been avoiding, um, stopping the procrastination of it all. Um, maybe it's setting a clear boundary for yourself. Maybe it's going outside and grounding and just taking that time to bring action into your life, to bring into that masculine energy. Um, if you're masculine dominant and you need to bring in some more feminine energy, maybe what you need to do is just slow down. Maybe you need to take some time to craft, to do something that fills your creativity. Um, maybe you just need to allow yourself to feel without trying to fix everything. Maybe you need to take a self-care day and not be the one that's caring for others. Um, those are just examples, but again, that question is to come back into balance, I will. And what are you gonna do this week? Make this small and obtainable. I will take 30 seconds to go outside and ground myself to bring in that masculine energy. Um, you know, whatever resonates with you, just make one small actionable item that you can complete this week just to bring balance back in and to invite in that balance between the masculine and the feminine. All right, that was great.
SPEAKER_01All right, we are gonna move into our meditation portion. Go ahead and take a seat wherever you're at, where you maybe you want to lay down. Just go ahead and get settled in and gently close your eyes, resting your hands in your lap or down by your side. Take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth. Again, inhale, and soften on the exhale. Bring awareness to your body. Notice where you feel structure, your bones, your spine, your foundation. This is your masculine energy holding you, supporting you. Now shift your awareness to your breath. Feel the gentle rise and fall. Feel the movement within you. This is your feminine energy flowing soft and alive. Now start to visualize the two meeting your masculine energy like a steady grounded mountain, your feminine energy, like a river flowing around it. Not opposing, but dancing, supporting, balancing, silently repeat to yourself, I honor my strength, I honor my softness. I allow both to exist within me. Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, feel yourself come into harmony. Hold balance and deeply connected. When you're ready, gently return to the physical body. If you're lying down, you might be wiggling your fingers and toes. And if you're sitting, you might roll through the neck or shoulders. If you're lying down, start to make your way over to your favorite side. Come into that fetal-like position and slowly rise up to a seated position. And now bring your hands to heart center. May you honor both your strength and your softness and trust that you are whole in the balance. Thank you so much for listening to us today. Namaste.
