In this episode of The Devil’s Contract, the audience is introduced to Malik. He is fired from his job after he's caught stealing food from his employer’s refrigerator. Malik is the only source of income for his household, as his mother was laid off several months earlier. He is overwhelmed by financial hardship, with mounting bills and an impending eviction notice. Feeling that he has no other viable options, Malik enters into a contract with the devil in exchange for wealth and fame. Satan later demands repayment; Malik realizes the gravity of his mistake as the terms of the agreement are rewritten to his detriment.
