In last week's episode, you were introduced to Elijah Carter, a 17-year-old, who lived in the quiet town of Briar Glen. A sudden and violent storm mirrors the turmoil surrounding his life when he finds himself at the center of suspicion after church funds are stolen and evidence implicates him. Despite his repeated declarations of innocence, his community, including those who once trusted him, begins to withdraw their support. Alone in the sanctuary, Elijah confronts both his circumstances and his faith, questioning why God remains silent in the face of injustice. As thunder roars and lightning illuminates the empty church, Elijah senses an unexplained presence, blurring the line between reality and imagination. In this moment of isolation and doubt, his journey becomes not only a search for truth, but a test of faith amid fear, betrayal, and uncertainty. This is the test.

Who are you? Someone who hears questions, especially the ones asked in anger. Look, if you're here to accuse me, too. I'm not. Then you picked a weird time to visit. Storms tend to bring truth to the surface. Yeah? Then where's mine? If everyone believes you're guilty, does it change who you are? Easy for you to say you're not the one losing everything. Are you sure about that? That doesn't matter if no one believe it. I trusted God, I did every good. And anything. It matters more than anything. Do you believe that survived? I did everything right. I tried to be good. And now this, what's the point? Do you believe God is only good when your life is? Faith that survives only in comfort isn't faith, it's convenience. That's not fair. You don't understand what this feels like. Then tell me, it feels like God left. He didn't leave. But sometimes he allows silence, so what's inside your heart becomes louder. So this is a test. No. Then what is it? A choice. A choice between what? Between trusting what you see and trusting who he is. Wait, wait, who are you? Find the truth, not just about the money, but about your faith. Don't go! I need answers! You already have what you need. If I didn't take the money, then who did? This doesn't make sense. If someone planted the key, they were either careless or confident. Find the truth. Okay, then I will. Elijah, maybe you should just lay low for a while.

SPEAKER_00

If I do that, it looks like I'm guilty. I didn't do it. It already looks like that. I know. Then help me prove it to her. How? Church you get that. Let's that's the safe key back pew. Elijah, you can't just have that if someone framed me.

SPEAKER_03

It's exactly They decided to sneak into Mercy Chapel to see if the key that Elijah found was indeed the key to the church's safe.

SPEAKER_01

This is a bad idea. Probably, but it's the only one I've got. This is where we find out. Wait, what? There's scratch marks from breaking in? No, inside. What do you mean? Did you see that? Look, around the inner panel. What? These are church members. Not just members, donors, this important ones. No, this is something fun. Elijah, I was wondering when you'd come back. So we we can explain. I'm sure you can. This wasn't me. You know! I never believed you took the money thing. Because I needed to know how you far in this. This church has s then why didn't you say anything? Huh? Because I needed to know how far this went. Then explain this. This church has secrets. That's not an answer. No, it's a confession. No, you're saying you did this?

SPEAKER_03

Not alone. Who else? Before he could answer, Deacon Harris enters the room.

SPEAKER_01

I was hoping you wouldn't find that. You? This church survives because of people like us. By stealing, by manning comes in, money goes where it's needed. It already is. I found out months ago. I was trying to decision it quite- By letting me take the blame? I thought I mean it could stop it before it got worse. This is pointless. You shouldn't have come back, Elijah.

SPEAKER_03

The emergency lights flickered on. Police flooded the doorway. Don't move. The money was recovered. Harris was arrested.

SPEAKER_01

You going in? I think so. Not because everything makes sense. Then why? Because I know he's still there. Even when it doesn't.
