You're welcome, Dr. Roret Wirris, founder of Praise Moves. What an interesting name. To begin with, would you like to tell us about Praise Moves?
SPEAKER_00Yes, Brother Emmanuel, I'd like to very much. Thank you for asking. Well, glory to God. It's such an honor being here with you today. Thank you so much for asking me to come. And Praise Moves is our fitness ministry. It is a Christ-centered alternative to yoga. A lot of people think yoga is just exercise. Well, my mother and I were involved in yoga, me from the age of seven until I was 29. And it led me into new age spirituality, sadly, away from Christ and into metaphysics and psychism and astrology, everything from A to Z, astrology to Zoroastrianism and everything in between. Looking for God in all the wrong places. But you know what? The Lord can redeem. He can take those things that had been negatives in our lives, and when we turn them over to Him, turn them into something positive. And that's what Praise Moves has become. It is our fitness ministry. We have hundreds of Praise Moves instructors, certified Praise Moves instructors all over the world on six continents, women and men, ages 18 to 16. So if the Lord is calling you to fitness ministry or to ministry altogether, and you're like, well, I don't know what kind of ministry, check out praisemoves.com. It may be for you. Or you might be saying, Well, I would like to do some good stretching exercise, but I don't want to do yoga. How is praise moves different? Well, we have stretching exercises, but every exercise we do is linked to scripture. So we're moving our body and we're speaking the word of God at the same time. What does that do for us? Well, Romans 1 says, comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. So when you're speaking the word of God, and especially when you're moving to the word of God, so many powerful things can happen. You know, Brother Emmanuel, people have said to me, I was never able to memorize Scripture before, but now with praise moves, I can because I'm moving to the Word of God. It goes beyond just memorization. The word becomes a part of you, and people get healthier and stronger. So that's praise moves, and that's, I guess, the good thing about how the Lord can take something that had been a negative in my life and turn it into something positive, you know, after I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ.
SPEAKER_01That's awesome. How does it help somebody to live with purposes?
SPEAKER_00When you think that we are stewards of our bodies, Romans 12 1 says, Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. And um, well, actually, that's Romans 12. 12 1 says to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your reasonable purpose. And then the second verse says, and do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. On what? On the word of the living God. For what purpose? So that you can prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. So you're discovering your purpose as you're discovering what the Lord says about you in his word. And at the same time, what we're also doing is we are moving our body, we're becoming healthier that way. And that's in line with 3 John 2 that says, Beloved, I wish above all things that you prosper, which means break through to success in every area of your life and be in health, even as at the same time as your soul prospers, your soul, which is your mind, your will, and your emotions. When you are prospering on the inside like that, when you're breaking through to success physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, it makes such a difference in your life. And you can see, I can see what God's purpose is for me. A lot of times we have these great desires in our heart, Brother Emmanuel. I don't know if this has been the same for you. I know it's been for me, that I'll have a great desire for something in my life. But I thought, oh, but I can't, I can't do that. It seems so grand. But you know what? The Lord will always call you to do something that is greater than anything you can do yourself. Because if you could do it yourself, how would he get any glory for it? And so that's the wonderful thing about how the Lord redeems. The word redeem, I have to translate things because if they're big Christian words like that, it's like I want to understand what it means. To redeem means to buy back, and it also means to bring out of darkness and put on a high place. We have been redeemed. We've been bought with a precious price. In fact, this is the foundation scripture to praise moves, which is 1 Corinthians 6 20. You were bought at a price, the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Therefore, in light of that, glorify God. Glorify, meaning to honor, to worship, to give credit to God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. My goodness, my body and my spirit belong to God. Yeah, that's it. And that's scary for a lot of people, Brother Emmanuel, because they think, I don't think I've taken very good care of this body. It's but look at it this way: the Lord has a vested interest in helping you become healthy, fit, and free.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Best gospel that we often miss. Thank you. So, yeah, I mean the teaching uh that is very essential. And there is one thing I would like you to help us understand here. Uh, when I read about you, it was mostly talking about women. But as you speak, it looks like is it women honor who should really care for their bodies? Does praise moves also consider men or the coding is honored for women? I also understand that there are many females ladies who are going to be watching who follow this podcast. So, yes, so you they are they are going to hear from you. But I'm wondering, the men also are going to be watching, listening. What is your message for them?
SPEAKER_00Yes, absolutely. The Lord is interested in all of you spirit, soul, and body. You are bought at a price, men and women. And you know, if you're saying, Well, I don't know if I was bought at a price, I don't know if Jesus is my Lord, well, I want you to know it's a very simple thing to do. You know, I want to invite you right now. I just feel the unction of the Holy Spirit just to say this to you. Do you know that it's a very simple thing to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior? You know, I fought that for many years because I didn't understand. When people would talk about getting saved, I was like, you know, I don't know about that. What does that mean? Or born again. I used to, you know, think I was so clever. I said, Well, I was born once, that's enough. Oh no, no, no, no. To be born from above, what does it really mean? Everybody I've found has a missing piece on the inside of them. And that missing P I E C E that missing piece is the missing P E A C E. The missing piece of God, that piece of God that goes beyond understanding, that gives you that wonderful, beautiful calm on the inside, no matter what is happening, and it's full, full of joy, beyond mere happiness, no matter what's going on in the world, and it's so easy to do. Romans 10, 9 and 10 says if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and you believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. What does saved mean? It comes from the Hebrew word shalom, which means peace, wholeness, completeness, nothing missing, nothing broken. It also means the power that destroys chaos. So if you're looking to have chaos destroyed in your life, ask the Prince of Peace, the Prince of the Power that destroys chaos into your heart right now. I mean, when you think of it, who else would you want to be Lord of your life? You've tried it enough yourself. Maybe you've looked at other gods, but oh there's no one, no one else who came and paid for your sin, who took it upon himself, everything you've done wrong, and then he rose from the dead to live so that you can have eternal life in peace and hope and joy with God. It's not a religion, my brother and sister, it's a relationship. It's having God on the inside of you through his precious Holy Spirit. So I invite you right now, if you'd like to repeat after me, Lord Jesus, come into my heart. Father God, forgive me of my sins. You know what I've done wrong, but please forgive me. I want Jesus to be the Lord of my life. Jesus, come into my heart, live your life in and through me. Father God, I believe that Jesus was raised from the dead and he came to pay the price for my sin that I may live in peace and joy and love with you. I receive you now in Jesus' name. I am a Christian. I'm starting a new life right now. Now, if you've prayed that for the first time or the first time in a long time, I invite you to write to Brother Emmanuel. You know, I once asked the Lord, Lord, why did you make it so simple for people to receive Jesus? Romans 10, 9 and 10. If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. He's given you enough faith to believe that and do that. Lord, why did you make it so simple for us to have God on the inside of us and have a whole new life? Why did you make it so simple? And I believe the word of the Lord came to me and said, if it weren't simple, then the simple could not be saved.
