The day ahead. It's properly morning. Something about today feels good already. I don't know what it is yet. Just a feeling. Like the morning knows something I haven't figured out. The cafe's warm. There's a light coming through the big window. Real morning light. The kind that makes everything look like it's exactly where it should be. And outside can you hear that? A few birds now not just one. They're sort of taking turns out there. I've been sitting here thinking not about everything today. Not the whole day. Just one thing. One thing I'm looking forward to. You know that big window where the sun gets a bit higher. Not yet, but later, later this morning. It comes through and makes this warm patch on the floor, right near the counter, right where I like to sit. It moves during the morning really slowly. But there's a moment where it's in exactly the right spot, and when I sit in it, right in the middle of it, it goes right through my fur all the way warm. I really like that bit. That's my thing. Just that the warm patch on the floor later this morning. Maybe you've got one too. Something today. Something that's coming later. Or something that might happen. It doesn't have to be a big thing. Small things count. You don't have to tell me what it is. You can just have it there. Yours. Mine's not here yet. The sun's still too low. It hasn't gone through the window yet. But I know it's coming. And just knowing it's there somewhere in the morning ahead of me. That's the nice bit really. Having something good just sitting in your day, waiting for you. Yours is like that too, probably. Just there. Somewhere ahead. You don't have to go and find it. It'll come to you when it comes. The day's right there. It's already started, really. You can feel it. And it's got something good in it. You know that now. Whenever you're ready, maybe it's breakfast, maybe getting dressed. Whatever comes first, your day's right there.
