Let me ask you something. If I walked up to you right now and asked, how's your event business going? What would you say? Because most event business owners I talk to give me one of three answers. They say, I'm all over the place, or I need more bookings, or I'm doing everything myself and I'm exhausted. And the crazy thing, most of them are dealing with all three at the same time. They're talented, they work hard, they care deeply about their clients, but the business feels like chaos. Inconsistent revenue, no real system, winging it every single week. I know that feeling because I've lived it. I built DLE Event Group, a premium entertainment company here in New York City from the ground up. And for a long time, I was the dancing bear, showing up at every event, doing everything, hustling hard, and wondering why the business wasn't growing the way I knew it could. So in this video, I'm gonna show you the exact framework we used to fix that. Not just for DLE, but for the event business owners that we now coach. And I call it the booked and in control system. And by the end of this video, you're gonna know the nine areas of focus so that you can have clear priorities, predictable sales, and a self-running business on your terms. Doesn't that sound awesome? I'm excited to share this. So let's get into it. Quick background if we haven't met yet, my name is Daniel Lenaris. I'm the founder of DLE Event Group, a band, DJ, hybrid entertainment company based in New York City. We've served thousands of luxury weddings, corporate events, fundraisers, and schools across New York, Tri-State, Destination, and beyond. But here's what most people don't know about DLE. We had the same problems you're probably dealing with right now: inconsistent bookings, me doing everything, no real system, just talent, hustle, and a lot of hope. There was a moment I'll never forget. A bride at one of our events, she forgot to eat. She had so much fun, she never sat down for dinner, she actually forgot. The venue had no food left, everything was put away. So, what did we do? We wanted to go above and beyond. So we went out, we got her sushi, and we hand delivered it back to the bride in her hotel suite with her husband Tom. Shout out to Tom and Holly. That's who we are as a brand. That's the standard we hold ourselves to, not because the contract said we had to, because that's the kind of company we decided to build. And once we got clear on who we were, how we operated, and what system we needed to scale, everything changed. More bookings, more revenue, a real team, a business that could run precisely the way I wanted on my terms. And now we teach event business owners exactly how we did it. Because if we could build this in New York City, one of the toughest, most competitive markets in the world, you can build it wherever you are. So let me show you the framework. Here is the booked and in control. The way that I'm gonna show this to you, it's actually in a triangle format here. So if I zoom out, you'll see it's this booked and in control system. And it's labeled the outcome. It's the outcome that I strived for for many, many years, investing in all types of education and learning. And I think booked and in control sums it up very well. And it's the event business you actually wanted to build. So the outcome is here in the middle. But as we start to zoom out, we're gonna start off with the pains. There are three pains that summarize all the challenges most event business owners experience. The first one is the pain of being all over all over the place. You know, you may say, I'm all over the place. Prioritization, winging it, just reacting. That's the first. The other over on the other side here is I need more bookings, lead flow, more sales, how to close more deals. And then the third one here at the bottom is I'm doing everything. I'm doing it all myself. I'm doing too much. There's too much on my plate. And so those are the three. And so on the outer sides of the triangle, I'm gonna show you how to go from these panes in red to the greens. And we're gonna start going from being all over the place to clear priorities. And I'm gonna unveal each of these one by one and talk about them briefly. But then future videos, we're gonna talk about them way more in depth. So the first one is a growth game plan. For the longest time, it's like, how do you grow? How do you grow into something bigger, better, more exciting? And I realize that means completely different things for different companies, for different people, depending on where you are in your life. And so the importance of a growth game plan. What does the vision look like of where you want to end up? And then how do we still it down and execute week after week, month after month, so that your 12-month goals, your three-year goals are intentionally being moved forward now. So you're going from chasing fires and reacting to one focused 90-day plan. Once you have that 90-day plan, we're unpacking the constraints. And we have a tool called the constraint finder, drowning in to-dos, and then with clarity of the bottleneck, that is the biggest thing to solve either this month or this quarter to really zoom in. Because when you think about it, we've all we've all said the term, hey, I'm busy. How's how's everything going, Dan? Oh, everything's great. I'm busy. But is it busy doing the right things or just busy maintaining? And that's where constraint is sort of diagnosing the biggest needle mover towards where you want to end up. That's number two. Number three, once you have your 90-day plan and the future, and once you have your constraint determined, how do you go from busy but stuck to visible weekly wins? So we have a momentum tracker. How to take those 90-day targets and distill them down into weekly momentum, into daily prioritization and execution. So we have a really cool tool for that. So when you add one plus two plus three, you get clear priorities. And what does that do? It takes you from this overwhelm of being all over the place to intentionally moving towards your most important progress, your most important goals to land in the future. You know, we've done this, we've done this exercise and um it's it's exciting, it's compelling. It could be even emotional to actually trust that I'm gonna create an ideal future. I'm not gonna know how I'm gonna get there, but I'm uh I'm going to articulate it with specificity and put a plan together and and to lean into it and to trust that you could figure it out and and you can be resourceful. And so that's how we convert a very popular number one of being all over the place. Now, the other one is I need more bookings. This is a really, really popular one. People like they they default to this. So like, I just need more bookings. Cool, but are you spending your day to day the way you want it? That's why the vision and the growth game plan is crucial before we start to transform needing more bookings. Now, what is the transformation from needing more bookings? Creating a predictable sales system. So, what is what is the first one here? Our offer snapshot. What do you do and bringing that to an offer that sells itself? Offer brand, how you're positioning your uniqueness to the market is often overlooked and even ignored. Sometimes people think, well, just having some sort of online existence is enough. Now I need more leads. But if your brand feels like a two-star brand that was just thrown together and you went sort of the inexpensive route to build something and you're trying to be a four or five-star brand, there's going to be a disconnect. You're going to have issues attracting leads and ultimately getting people to buy because you may be the most talented person, you may have the most talented people in your organization. But if your offer and your brand doesn't uniquely package your magic in an interesting way and in a compelling way, all the rest around predictable sales struggle. So offer snapshot. Then we have our lead engine going from praying for inquiries to leads on repeat, a predictable way to bring in through various channels, leads that ultimately become customers. And so the lead engine is like what are the multiple channels? What are the priority of channels, relationships, organic channels, paid channels? And so we have the brand positioned, then we have the lead engine, and then lastly is the booking machine winging sales calls or not knowing how to deal with the leads once they come in to take them from educating them, giving them more confidence, and then ultimately a process that books. That means the nurture part of it. How do you educate them? How do you build their confidence to want to buy? How are you presenting your brand in a sales capacity? Is it in person? Is it online on a video call? And ultimately a process that books. And so, in order to go from I need more bookings to predictable sales, offer snapshot, lead engine into booking machine, dialing these in, adjusting the important levers in the right order. And so all three of these together help create a predictable sales machine. So that's number two. The third is I'm doing everything. Can anybody relate? Are you doing more things than you know you should be doing? What is the transformation of going from I'm doing everything to a future ideal? And that is a self-running business. Some owners are working 40, 60, 80 hours a week and they don't want to do that. Others are working that much and they do want to do that. That's okay. I'm not telling you how you need to run your business. What I am going to show you here is how you could set up your business and let go of a high percentage of what you're doing and probably shouldn't be doing as an owner. You don't need to be doing everything. And so the first one is a founder role map. From you doing it all or too much, and then a path to pull everything off of your plate. So you as the owner, it's like, where do you start? What do you let go of first? How does that even work? This is a clarity tool on how to go from you doing it all to start having a deal of what it could all look like once it's figured out. Then a hiring plan. Who do you hire? And what order of the whos, if you will, do you get? And it doesn't need to be straight to a full timer. It doesn't need to be straight to a part-timer. It doesn't need to be straight to a freelancer. It could be one or all, depending on your stage of your business. There's so much that can be unlocked with just getting the right first person to support you, like an executive assistant, like somebody to drive operations. And then there's also opportunity for people in a freelance capacity to support you, of taking things off of your plate, which is what we had number one, and then starting to let go and to show people that can support you how they can help. And then third down here, we have the team playbook. Uh, team playbook is once you have what you want to delegate, number one, once you speak to people that can support you and you can hand things off, number two, then it comes down to team playbook. Everything that's in your head, and then how to get it out of your head, create playbooks, and ultimately pass it off to people that can do it without you needing to overlook it. And so for a self-running business to be something that you have, you need to remove and get clear on what can be passed off that's currently on your plate as a founder. Start getting some clarity and some confidence on who you can hire and what is the priority of that hiring, and then how to build playbooks for your team, taking things out of your head and starting to let go and trust others to help you have a self-running business. So, what do you think? I don't know about you, but this is so exciting to me. It is a triangle that takes the three most popular pains. And the pains are very all-encompassing, right? There's a lot that falls into I need more bookings. It's not just lead flow. There's a lot that falls into I'm all over the place, not just making a to-do list. It's not just I'm doing everything. It's like how to think about what we want the future to look like. And so let's bring this all together. In the video that we just went over, we spoke about three things that most event business owners are dealing with right now. You're all over the place, you need more bookings, or you're doing everything yourself. And those three panes map to three milestones clear priorities, predictable sales, and a self-running business. Under each milestone, three accelerators, nine total, each one solves a specific problem. Each one builds on the last. And today we touched on all nine. That's the framework, that's the blueprint. And this is just the beginning. I want to take a second and tell you why I'm doing this. I built DLE because I wanted to build something I was proud of. Something that didn't just make money, but made a real difference in people's lives on one of the most important days that they've ever had on the client side. And I'm also doing this to pour into other event business owners that are dealing with these pains. I'm passionate about this. Along the way, I learned something. A business that depends entirely on you is a business that owns you. And I didn't want that for myself, and I don't want that for you. I want you to build something that gives you freedom. Freedom to be present with the people you love, freedom to grow without burning out, freedom to lead your business instead of being buried in it. That's why the Booked and in Control system exists. Not just to help you get more bookings, but to help you build the event business and the life you actually wanted when you started. I've been in this industry for nearly two decades. I've seen what's possible when an event business owner gets clear, gets focused, and builds a real system. It's not magic, it's not luck, it's a blueprint. And that blueprint is what every single video on this channel will be built around moving forward. So if you've been winging it, this is your sign to stop. If you've been feeling all over the place, this is your starting point. If you know your event business is capable of so much more, you're right, it is. And I'm gonna show you how to get there. If this was helpful, do me a favor, hit subscribe, like this video, comment down below. Every video on this channel is gonna zoom into one of these nine accelerators with the occasional interesting or valuable side quest, step by step, no fluff, just the real blueprints tools for building a booked and in-control event business. On the next video, we're gonna dive deep into the growth game plan. I'm gonna walk you through the exact vision exercise we use at our company for the people in our coaching program. The one that takes you from reacting week to week to leading your business with a real three-year future, drip down to 90 days, drip down to the month, drip down to the weekly and ultimately daily level. You don't want to miss it, so go and see it. It should be up momentarily, depending on when you're watching this. And I'll see you on the next one. Let's build something great.
