Columbus Clingstones broadcaster Jack Johnson visited with clubhouse manager Angel Piva at Blue Wahoos Stadium in Pensacola, Florida. 

Piva, who would later be named Southern League Clubhouse Manager of the Year, reflects on his role with the Clingstones and his path in professional baseball in a conversation conducted entirely in Spanish.

Back on the Columbus Klingstones pregame show. I'm happy to be joined by the clubhouse manager for the Columbus Klingstones, Angel Piva, a good friend of mine. And out of all the interviews I've wanted to get this year, this is the one I've wanted to do the most. Angel plays a vital role in the Klingstones success on and off the field. He's a big reason why we're able to get on the road as seamlessly as we do. And he promised me he would do it. And so here we are, just three days left in the season. I'm holding him to his word. So Angel, thanks for taking the time, my friend. I told Angel the deal was if I was gonna do this interview, I was gonna have to ask him the questions in Spanish. So here we go. Angel, pregunta uno De donde ellos y cómo you stay in Trabajar and Baseball?

I was in Venezuela. When I was 11 years for reasons, I move to Italy. I'm a baseball in Venezuela, I was the baseball, but I was like, I've been those deportes, and when I was in Italy, for sure in Spanish the deport is the football. I started to work on football, that it was the meaning, and I saw a club that is Marlin Tenerife, which I am the equipped. This club had the opportunity to work on the baseball, to enroll from this department so I'm juggered with 12 years and after the day of hour in this club. And when I had a 16-17 years, I beg to the Division Honor in España, which is the yeah. I was like Bad Boy, I enthusiasm of the Clubhouse, I saw them and this is the reality of the which I'm working in the baseball.

Andrew, part of those uh fusioners who say exactly what a Clubhouse Manager, why describes your trabajo?

Well, the Clubhouse Manager is the mother, hermano of the jugs. Not somewhat encards of the material, the equipment of the jugadores, loses of the jugadores, de lavar los zapatos, de limpiarles el uniforme, de hacerles cualquier favor que necesites. Nosotros estamos disponibles, como quien dice, 24 horas para que estos jugadores puedan desempeñar su función lo más cómodo y lo más como diría yo que estén en su mejor situation para que solo se preocupen por lo que es el juego y todo el resto nosotros nos encargamos de eso.

Er is the club as manager for the selection national de Spania.

What significant representing the young when I had 12 years and gracious Club Deportivo Los Males and the señor Néstor Pérez, who is manager of the rookie con Atlanta, inventory the position of Clubhouse Manager in the selection national in 2010, when this position no existed. A particular six years of the selection, I had the opportunity to States Union for a convention that had the selection of España Colorado Atlanta.
