People always ask me, “How do you do it?” 🔥

This week’s Friday Is My Monday is all about the 3 principles I try to live by in business, real estate, and life.

Adaptability.
Believing in yourself before the world does.
And living by standards… not circumstances.

Because the truth is, most people talk themselves out of opportunities before they even begin.

Whether you’re buying, selling, or just trying to figure out your next move in life… stop assuming the answer is no before asking the question.

That’s when everything starts to change.

People are always asking me, how do you do it? And I've really been thinking about that. And here is the secret sauce that I live by. It's three principles. And it's not just in business, it's not just in real estate, but actually in real life. Y'all, today is Friday, is my Monday, and you know what that means. Today is my Monday. So let's kind of get into today's podcast. The first principle is I'm adaptable. I don't need the day to go perfectly to make it a good one. Because let me tell you, in real estate, if your life depends on perfection, you're going to be exhausted. Okay. Y'all, deals fall apart, appraisals come in low, pipes burst, contracts get delayed, people change their minds and interest rates, boy, they're changing like the weather in Texas, you know, like it's raining one second and it's sunny the next. But let me tell you what I know. The people who win long term are not the people with perfect circumstances throughout the whole day. They're the people who learn how to adjust without losing themselves, without losing their mind. Okay, the second principle I live by. It's not my job to tell myself no. The world will offer plenty of obstacles. I don't need to add to them. I watch people disqualify themselves and their situations every single day before they even get started. We probably can't buy. This house is probably out of our budget. Now's probably not the time. We probably shouldn't even try. What if they say no? Or this is actually one of my favorite. What if they say yes? What are you gonna do? Meanwhile, nobody has looked at the numbers, nobody has built the strategy, nobody explored the options, nobody actually looked through the lens of what if I win. The world will throw you enough roadblocks. You don't need to become one, too. So sometimes the difference between moving and staying stuck is simply deciding to stop talking yourself out of your future before it even has a chance. So that could be buying a house, a serious life decision, or y'all just what are you gonna have for dinner? Right? I know it's just it's just a thing. All right, are you ready for the third one? And really the most important of all, I make decisions every day based on my standards, not the circumstances of the day, because motivation is sometimes unreliable. Feelings change, markets shift, people will disappoint you. Life gets heavy, but your standards, they stay intact in everything I do. That means showing up professionally, even when you're tired. That means doing the right thing when nobody's watching. That means keeping your word when it would be easier not to. That means serving people at a high level with them, whether the market is booming or if it's slow, whether you have one client or 20 clients, just showing up to be your very best. Anybody can be disciplined when things are easy, but character shows up when they're hard. So, what principles or standards are non-negotiable for your day and in your life? And do you stick to them? Y'all, today is Friday, and it is my Monday party, people. So we'll be in open houses. We're gonna be selling some real estate. While most people are checking out for the weekend, I'm checking in on goals, clients, contracts, and the people trusting me with some of the biggest decisions of their lives. And honestly, that responsibility is never something that I take lightly. So if you're in a season where your life feels uncertain, don't focus on having the perfect day. Okay, we're not Elle Woods. Focus on becoming the kind of person who keeps moving forward anyway. Toodles
