Girl, Why Not You?
She Googled "What Is Marketing" — Then Built & Sold a Six-Figure Agency
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
You're posting. You're showing up. You're doing all the "right" things — so why does it still feel like you're running in place?
Here's the truth nobody wants to hear: the thing holding you back probably isn't your strategy. It's you.
In this episode, I sit down with Leanna de Bellevue — a single mom who was making $80/hour doing massage, got told her job was disappearing overnight, and said "OK, I'll figure it out." She taught herself marketing from a Google search, built a six-figure agency from scratch with zero budget, scaled it across 17 countries for 15 years, and then sold it for over asking in 10 days flat.
Now she helps entrepreneurs uncover the blind spots they can't see on their own — and 85-90% of the time, the real problem isn't systems or marketing. It's mindset.
We're talking about:
The "Whisper Theory" — why ignoring your gut always costs you more later
Why imposter syndrome gets LOUDER at every new level (yes, even after you "make it")
The one free thing you can do today to find your biggest blind spot
Why the promises you keep breaking are always the ones you make to yourself
How accountability — real, uncomfortable accountability — changes everything
If you're stuck and you've tried everything, this one's going to hit different.

I'm Jenny Blackwood, a small town mom of four who refused to settle for a life that didn't light me up. When everything felt uncertain, I didn't run back to a nine to five, I bet on myself. I took a simple idea and turned it into an almost seven-figure business my first year, all while being a mom first. Now I'm here to help you trust your own power, chase the dream that keeps tapping your shoulder, and build a life that feels like you. This is Girl Why Not You? Well hello, everybody. Welcome back to another exciting episode of Girl Why Not You? I am your host, Jenny Blackwood, and I am so excited because today we're talking about something that I think a lot of people feel, but don't always have the words for. What happens when you're doing everything that you're supposed to? You're working hard, you're showing up, you're trying to build something, but you still feel stuck because we hear all the time post more, do more, try harder, right? But what if the real reason you're not growing has absolutely nothing to do with strategy? What if it's your mindset, your blind spots, or the fact that you're trying to do it all alone? This conversation is going to challenge you a little bit, but in the best way possible, in my opinion. Today I am joined by Liana de Bellevue, and her story is such a powerful example of what's possible when you actually decide to make a shift. She went from being a single mom, just trying to make ends meet, to discovering an unexpected path in marketing, to building a six-figure agency in a matter of months and scaling it for over 15 years before selling it. And now she helps other entrepreneurs grow in a completely different way by identifying the blind spots that are actually holding them back and helping them step into real leadership and accountability. Liana, I am so happy to have you here today. Well, thank you so much for having me. I appreciate it. This is a really exciting topic for you to cover. I mean, for you to just kind of go like, hey, maybe I'll give this thing a try and then have it be something you do for 15 years and sell a company. Kudos to you, my friend. I uh I always like to start here because I think people connect most to the before, right? So not just the success, but how the heck did you get there? So I would love it if you could start us out by taking us back to that season of your life. Okay. So you were you were a single mom just trying to make ends meet, which, my God, being a single mom has got to be the hardest job on the planet. Somebody changed my mind. You're not going to. So what was really going on for you during that time? Let's start there. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So I was a single mom. My children at the time were um eight and eight and ten. Um, and I was working actually at a chiropractor's office um doing um massage for him because someone told me massage mark uh massage makes like 80 bucks an hour. And I was like, cool, that's sounds great. Right? Like, why not? Uh little did I know that that wasn't quite the case. Um, but I was doing marketing or excuse me, massage for him, and insurance changed overnight. And he called me in and said, insurance is not paying for massage anymore. I don't have it in the budget to keep you on in this role. Um, but I need someone to do marketing. So could you potentially do marketing for me? Oh my gosh, I love this. You're like, okay. Yeah, sure. All I know is I can't afford to lose my job. I have two kids at home. And how hard could marketing be? Right. Yeah. So I sat down. I'll I will never forget sitting down at the computer in my office, like Googling like what is marketing. Like I had zero idea.
SPEAKER_00I just love this so much.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I just knew I had to make it work. And um, he was very gracious with me. And he was like, I know you don't know what you're doing. I don't know what we're doing, but we're gonna figure it out together kind of deal. Um, and also because things had changed, he was like, You pretty much have no budget. So I'm like, Great. So now I'm doing with no money, even better. Like dream job, right now. Sounds great. Yeah, why not sign me up? So um I remember going, I went to the local chamber of commerce. There were amazing women who took me under their wing and were like, oh, you poor little lost things. Oh, let me let me help you. Come here. Yeah. Um, and taught me about relationship marketing. Like it's not about how many times you post, it's what are you bringing to the table? How can you serve? Like, how are you, you know, kind of giving back? And um really taught me the importance of showing up authentically, making true relationships. And in my position, within a few months, I had started really kind of making traction on the marketing front. And within six months, he called me in and said, Absolutely, there's no way you're ever going back to massage. I want you to be my full-time marketing person, right? Because this was supposed to be an interim thing. Until they got the interim thing figured out, I could step back into my role. And so um, within two years, we had doubled our space. We had event therapists, it just kind of became its own thing. And he said, I think you need to do this on your own. Um, you have what it takes. Oh my god. And you have that mind, right? That entrepreneurial mindset. So um I was like, again, why not? Um, what I didn't realize at the time is he taught me how to build a business with zero marketing dollars. Wow. And when you're doing it for yourself, you have zero marketing dollars a lot of times, right? So um I took all of the tools and um jumped back in for myself. And then yeah, went from zero to six figures in about six months, five months, six months. Um, I also had no expectation. I didn't know that that was unusual. I didn't know that, you know, all of these things, I had to have a website. I didn't know a lot of the basics that people tell you now you have to have. And so I challenged a lot of that, right? Do you really have to have all of these things? And um, yeah, fast forward 15 years, um, we had a team we were working out of 17 countries, a full team. I wasn't doing a lot of the day-to-day anymore. I was more of a a mentor for our staff and for our clients. Okay. You know, kind of talking about what are we missing, you know, kind of identifying target market, what are the blind spots? Everything on the marketing aspect is working, but it's not work, something's still missing, right? So when I decided to sell, um they said it could take, you know, six, six to twelve months um with at the price point we were selling. And then I think within 10 days, we had a an over-asking uh all cash offer with a thing. At a girl. Yep. At a girl. I love that. We call it. Call you for 45 days.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Oh my gosh, Lianna, everybody who is listening to this, I want you to throw on the brakes and listen to this for a second, okay? Here is somebody who was like, hey, maybe I'll just be a massage therapist. Started out, that didn't work out. All of a sudden somebody says, Hey, wanna try marketing? She's like, I guess. I never thought about marketing a day in my life. Here I go. She she she had nothing, y'all. She had no background with it, she had no education with it. She literally was like, Well, I need money, so I guess I'll figure it out. But here's the thing: are y'all hearing a common theme on this show? People just decide, I'm gonna figure it out. I'm gonna make it work. I don't care what it takes, I don't care what I have to learn. They become resourceful, they become grit, you know, driven. They are like, I am gonna have whatever it takes, get out of my way. I'm gonna make it work. Uh, this is the common theme here, guys. This is not like a, well, I know nothing about that. So I probably should just, you know, continue doing what I'm doing. Hell no. You should embrace whatever opportunity isn't put in front of you and figure it out. There are so many freaking resources out there. And honestly, so Liana, you sold this 15 years ago, or how many years ago did you sell this? No, I literally sold this in August of 2025. So less than a year ago. Oh my gosh. This is wild. So when you started, though, let's go, let's go back. When she started, there was no AI, there was no real good resources. She just got scrappy. Everyone, be scrappy. Okay, we're adding that to our resumes. I am scrappy. Because if you're not scrappy, you're not gonna go anywhere. If you are like Liana and you decide, you know what, I I I have no other options at this point. And I know that I'm capable. Every single person listening to this right now, you are capable of the same or similar things. Believe in yourself. She believed in herself, and she just freaking went for it. That's huge. And so for you, did you ever in one billion years think, hey, this little thing that this chiropractor is asking me to take on this new task just so I can pay my bills or feed myself and my kid, did you ever think that that was gonna lead to something that you were gonna build this amazing business that would actually be acquired later in your life?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Never in a million years. Like we always, I think it's a catchphrase now that that wasn't on my bingo card. No, yeah, no, never. But I didn't know. I think what the beauty of it is is I didn't know the statistics behind the failure rate of a business or all of the things. I just blindly went into it. And you said it, like I just believed in myself. I'm gonna bet on myself a hundred percent of the time, right? Because I know I'm gonna figure it out. Even if I get redirected, like I thought massage was it. I got redirected, but it redirected me to something so much better. Yes.
SPEAKER_00I never even imagined, right? It's so true. And it's weird because I think that a lot of people accidentally ignore the universe trying to redirect them to something else.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I mean, it's like I see it over and over again. It's like you practically have the universe tapping you on the shoulder going, Hey, lady, hello, I'm trying to put this in front of your face. And some of us are like, la la la la. You know, it's like we we just put the blinders on. But you're right. You were like, okay, I guess I'll make a pivot. What's my choice? At this point, you were a single mom. I mean, what was the weight like for you back then, thinking of like, I thought I was gonna be a massage therapist and now that's all crashing and burning? Like, how much of this was driven by I gotta feed my kid, I gotta clothe my kid.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01I think any mom knows there's something just innate that when you have kids, um, my faith is very, very important to me. Yeah. Uh, and I knew, okay, like there's there has to be a reason why this is happening. Let me try. Worst case, I do have a marketable skill, right? I can go back to another massage therapist, or I can go, you know, now I have a little bit of marketing experience. I can go market for someone else. Yeah. Um, but yeah, it was just, and I you've got a great point when you say like the universe will tap you on the shoulder. My belief is that like you you get a little whisper, like, hey, you might want to try this. And then if you don't listen to it, you get a tap. If you won't listen, then you might get a little shove. And at some point you get pushed on your butt, yeah, right. And you're like, okay, why didn't so now I try and listen when it's a whisper because I don't like getting knocked on my ass. I just don't. Yes, not fine for me. So let me listen early on and you know, kind of see where it takes you. I love that theory.
SPEAKER_00We're gonna let's let's call it the whisper theory, okay? We just created something new. Look at us. The whisper theory, you guys. This is what it means. It means listen to that. Like she said, don't wait until you get knocked on your ass. Don't wait until you get your ass handed to you. Just listen to your intuition. I think, especially as females, you know, not to knock our male friends out there. But as females, I think we have this like superpower with our intuition. And it's not like one person's able to hone in better than another. It's just you really stopping and listening to yourself, listening to your mind, knowing that if you think about something and you can't stop thinking about it, that that's actually something. It's not just you being neurotic, right? Like it's actually something there. And so listen to the whispers. I challenge all of you listening to this right now. How many of you can sit back and go, huh, I'm I might be getting a whisper right now? Like probably a lot of you, right? So let's all talk about that today. Like, sit with yourself, think about the whisper, write it down, but don't ignore it. So when you got pushed into this, did you ever like see yourself as an entrepreneur? Like at that point where you're like, I'm gonna start a business. I'm gonna, or where were you at?
SPEAKER_01No, not even a little bit. I think um it is the people around me that saw it in me, from the chiropractor to the women at the chamber to other business, you know, owners that I met in in the process of marketing, um, that were like, oh, it's about time. Like we saw it, you didn't see it. And I'm like, what are you guys talking about? Where, you know, because and that's why I think your circle is is so important because they believed in me, they guided me, they cheered me on. There were times when they would, you know, call me to the side and help me straighten my crown, right? And say, Oh yeah, like you gotta, you gotta pivot a little bit, or hey, this is what I'm seeing, or or even better yet, hey, here's uh a pitfall that I had when I was about at your stage, make sure to avoid it, right? Yes. So I had no idea, but again, just the people around me, I think are equally like um, I don't know, I guess they're they're equal to my success, right? That they're they're part of my secret to success. They're a big part of how I got as far as I got.
SPEAKER_00Isn't it so crazy how so often people see things in us that we can't even see in ourselves?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And, you know, that comes with a lot of different things. You know, that comes from things we've been through. That comes from confidence, that comes from all kinds of different situations. But it's wild how somebody could look at you and probably think a completely different thing about you than you feel on the inside. And a lot of times people see things that are so much bigger and betterful and powerful than we will ever be able to allow ourselves to see, right? So I'm so glad that you had that in your tribe because it is. It's so funny how much the people in our lives can influence things in either a good or a bad way, right? You could have had so many people that were like, Liana, you have a kid at home and you've never done marketing. Like, what are you thinking? Why don't you go get a job at home goods? You know what I'm saying? Like, they could have said anything, but instead they're like, girl, you got this. Like, believe in yourself. So you're right, there is a lot of weight in your tribe as well, because we, and I want you to talk all about mindset. I think that's a really good transition here. But you know, our mindset is everything. So talk to me when when you think about mindset, when you talk to people about mindset, you coach people on mindset, like what comes to mind for you? Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Um, just kind of what you just talked, uh touched on was that a lot of times the people who love us most want to keep us safe. So they go, what are you thinking? Are you sure you want to hire that person? Are you sure you want to go out on your own? Right. And it causes us self-doubt.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And so many times there's everything that you're told you have to have as an entrepreneur. You have to have this, this, this, and this, right? And you have to use these tools and you have to do, and it gets very overwhelming. And I think what I'm now privileged to do is act as that champion that I had so many years ago. Right. Yes. It's it's not that difficult, right? If you, if it's something that you wake up thinking about and you're excited about and you have a passion for it, oftentimes there's just little tweaks. And nine times out of ten, those tweaks are our mindset.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Right. Yeah. Um, it's self-doubt. Um, I see a lot of I and men too, yes, but for women, we get imposter syndrome so bad. Or who am I? I'm just a mom, right? Yeah. I'm just a mom. I I don't know what I'm doing. I'm sorry. If you're a mom, um, you know how to multitask, you know how to get stuff done on a deadline, right? Because you've got 45 minutes while your baby is sleeping. Okay, what can I get get accomplished? Right. So really kind of talking um some of those self-doubts out loud. Yes. Because when you when I hear something like I'm just a mom, and I I highlight, okay, wait, what does that mean? So are you able to do these things in this time frame? They're like, Yeah, I can do that. And I'm like, okay, then let's challenge that, right? What is the truth versus what are you telling yourself?
SPEAKER_00For sure. That's a that's a very important point. The truth versus what you're telling yourself. I really like that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So I work through that with people. And a lot of times, um, I'm I'm a consultant that my goal is to work myself out of a job as quickly as possible. Right. Um, because and teach you tools. Okay, I am in this negative self-talk loop. Yeah. What caused me to get there? Okay, well, I I found out that every time I talk to this person, I start to spiral. Okay, why is that? Right. I would say probably about 85 to 90% of the work that I do is mindset works with our clients. Um, and that's never why they come to me. They come to me because they think they have a systems problem. Right. They look my marketing background and they go, okay, I need help in marketing. And I look at their marketing, and yes, there's always some a few tweaks, but most of the time it's getting down to that nitty-gritty, right? If they are attracting the wrong clients, right? Everyone who comes to me, no one can afford my services.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Typically that's a it gets down to the root of either they don't believe in the amount that they're charging people. So their marketing is misaligned, right? Or they're discounting themselves so much because it's a self-worth problem. Like there's so many fundamental issues that once we uncover it and we address it, it's not an issue anymore. Now it's like, okay, cool, hit the ground running, and now there's the growth that they've been looking for.
SPEAKER_00Woo! That that is some seriously powerful stuff, and it is true. And I feel like mindset is often like very misunderstood, but it's so crazy. I use like this phrase all the time in my coaching program. Your mindset is either gonna help you crush it or it's gonna crush you, my friends. Like that is the absolute truth. And mindset, having somebody to kind of help you unlock. Cause a lot of us might be sitting back going, well, I think my mindset's like okay. But maybe it's not, right? Like you probably need somebody who's gonna challenge you and ask you those difficult questions that is going to be like, oh, well, I guess I never really thought of it like that before, or why am I doing that? Or why could I not be doing this to be more positive or better? So I think that that's fantastic. And you're right. It's just so sad how much our mindset can dictate our outcomes. So I applaud you for being out there helping people understand that, hey, you may think that these are your problems, but let me tell you what your first problem is. And here's how we're gonna fix it. So that's really cool. So let's talk about that. So let's talk about somebody who's feeling stuck right now. Okay. What does real growth look like for them? Like what would that look like to work with you?
SPEAKER_01Typically, we sit down for a strategy session. I would say probably about 50% of the people that I consult with only need that strategy session once because they're smart, they've been doing this for a while, they know, um, they know what they're doing. Again, it's just that feeling of like uncomfortable and stuck. Yeah, once we uncover it, nine times, I well, I'd say about 50% of the time, they go, Oh, I know what I need to do to correct that. And then we have a follow-up session, and they're like, Yes, I implemented this, this, this, and that. And, you know, or, you know, hey, I tried it and I'm still, you know, can can we work through one or two or two more things? And so um typically I work with people on a short term, very short-term basis. Yeah. And the other um people will bring me on for a quarter and we'll work together four months, like because we know that it might be a longer, maybe they're gonna go from two employees to 20 employees. Okay, that's gonna take a series of of growth, right? And things like that. Um, but typically I would say um people just they feel uncomfortable and they can't identify why.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And I think a lot of times when people hear mindset, they think woo, right? They think it's gonna be soft and fluffy and like, well, let's breathe it out. And, you know, and I love that, and there's value there, but that's not me, right? I am a no-nonsense. Like, if you tell me something, I'm gonna challenge you. And I and I start that off at the very beginning. I'm gonna challenge you because I want to understand, right? And a lot of times it's like peeling back, you know, an onion. You get to the first layer and you're like, okay, but there's still something else, right? So I have to ask some pretty kind of hard questions. And I do I challenge people all the time. They go, I can't, because you know, my my kids are home in the summer, so I can't grow during the summer. Okay, is that true? Right. And in some cases it might be, right? We had one client who had a special needs child. That's a true story, right? Totally different situation than my kids are loud and I don't know how to work in a in a in an environment that's loud and chaotic, right? Whatever. Yes. Um, so it's it's really about asking layers of questions. And once we uncover it, people typically know I see a light, it's like that light bulb moment, and they're like, Oh. Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_00Okay, wait. Revelation.
SPEAKER_01Yes. And then everything like that it was that missing puzzle. Piece and then suddenly it all makes sense to them. And they go, okay, now I know how to navigate this. Or okay, now that I understand, I think I can navigate it this way and that way. And then we just kind of go on a journey together, right? I'm very much a supportive, you know, I'm not gonna do it for you, but I'm gonna make sure that you're taking steps accordingly. Because a lot of times when you do uncover it, it's scary or it's overwhelming. Oh wow, my mindset really isn't what I thought it was. Now what? Yeah. Right? So, okay, great. Now we know let's navigate it together. Here's the first step, here's the second step, and for you know, going for work.
SPEAKER_00That's very, very interesting. So you you talk a lot about like blind spots, identifying our blind spots for people listening. Like, what's a practice they could implement today to find a blind spot they have that they have no idea exists? Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Um, I tell people this all the time, especially those who um are not in a position financially to work with me. A lot of times those closest to us can identify it because we have the same conversations. I think we can all think of a time when we've got a friend that will talk to us about the same situation over and over. And in your head, you're like, girl, do you not see this is the problem? Like you don't want to be rude, right? And so you just listen. So I always tell people ask um a close business associate, another entrepreneur, someone who's in the trenches with you, um, or even sometimes your spouse, what do you see that I don't see? Here's the problem. I keep um launching products that aren't working. Like everyone says they're excited, and then when the launch day comes, sales don't happen. Yes. What do you see? Like, what what do you see that maybe I'm not seeing? Um and so many times people won't offer advice unless you ask them. Then they're like, oh, well, I noticed that your landing page doesn't connect to your sales page. It has you have to go, like, I have to try and find the sale. And people are like, oh, okay. Or it's like, you know, you're talking all of your messaging is about like, you know, how you understand people just starting out and then you're trying to sell them a $2,000 product. Right. So again, a lot of times if you just ask somebody like I keep running up against this problem, I keep hitting my head against the same block wall. Do you have any insight as to why? Yeah. You'll uh most of the time you'll get a response, or if you talk to your clients, um, you'll get a lot of the same feedback, right? Yeah, I'd love to join your program right now, but I just can't afford it. Well, if 10 people out of the 12 people you talk to say I can't afford it, you know, either it's a pricing issue or it's a messaging issue. You're either talking to the wrong person or you're not priced right for the market. Sure. So ask for feedback. I think people are really afraid to give that feedback if it's not asked for. You don't want to tell someone, hey, I know you think you're doing a great job, but you're not, right? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So that's one way to kind of identify what is it that I'm that I'm not seeing.
SPEAKER_00Now that makes a lot of sense to me. It is kind of the outside looking in that can be the most insightful. But I'm telling y'all, if you go ask your spouse, you better make a promise you're not gonna get in a fight over it because I mean, I feel like if I asked my husband, hey, what am I doing wrong? And he said I'd be like, Really? You want to talk about that? Um, but yes, I understand what you're saying. And I think that that's very um, it's a good way to kind of just reflect upon something that you're missing. We are human by nature, right? We can't possibly know every single thing about every single thing. So asking people to be like, hey, what how do you see this, right? It's it's just a totally different perspective. And I think that that's a great idea for everybody listening to this. So when we talk about your success, obviously that was like it started from a very unknown place in your life to where you're at now. What would you say tested you the most over these past 15 years that you started and blew up this amazing business?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Every time I got to a new level, a new level of self-self-doubt creeped in. So when I started, I didn't even have my college degree. I've since gone back. I have my master's, you know, I've done all of the things, right? Um, but every time I get to a new level, I would be like, who am I to step into this room? Who am I to speak to this audience? Right. Um, I remember I was asked to speak at um PubCon. Um, and I was on a stage with the CMO of Google, um, a marketing developer on Microsoft. They're talking about like wormholes, things I don't even understand what they're saying. They're talking so high level. And I remember texting my husband saying, I don't think I'm meant to be on this stage. Oh, like I don't, A, I don't know what people are talking about. I was there to talk about having the courage to fail.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01That's such a different conversation than, and this is when AI was really just really coming onto the scene. So this is 2020, right before the world shut down. And I told my husband, I was almost embarrassed to get up on the stage because I thought that whoever booked me was gonna be like, this is not what we booked you for. You know, like because they're talking so high level. Right. And it was just all of those moments of who am I to be in this room? Um, again, I had girlfriends that were like, Who are you not to be in this room? Hell yeah. Right? Yes, okay, right. And even now, who am I to start a brand new business? Now that there is AI technology that I don't, I my team handled all that stuff. I didn't do it, right? Or who am I to talk to people about this, this, this, and that? And again, just reminding myself, who am I not to? It's so hard and it's so much easier said than done. I can talk about it all day. Um, but I have to put myself in check quite a bit. I have an accountability partner that is like, what are you doing today? How are you gonna move the needle? Yeah, who are you gonna, how are you gonna move the needle forward? And then when I don't, what happened? Because you said you were gonna do this, this, this, and that. And when I'm not doing those things, most of the time it's a mindset.
SPEAKER_00That is so, I love that you have an accountability friend because that is like game changing. It is so easy to talk ourselves out of things throughout every single day, even things that we promise ourselves we're gonna do. It is there are some really strong people out there that hold themselves to it, but for the mass majority of us, I think we're really easily able to talk ourselves out of it. So that is really cool that you're doing that. But I agree with you. And it's it's wild. I mean, you guys look at somebody like Liana. Look where she started, look what she built, look at everything she's accomplished, the stages that she's been on, the notoriety that she's had. And she still has confidence issues, right? And not issues, but like it's hard. Even with everything you accomplish, it doesn't mean that all of a sudden you're gonna become this person that's never gonna question yourself again. Even with her teaching other people how to have like a solid mindset, she's human. It's gonna happen to her too, you know? But it's all about having, again, people in your corner, believing in yourself and knowing that everything's a season, you know, even those times where you feel like, can I do this? Well, why not? Girl, why not you? Okay, why not you? Because there's nothing more capable about somebody else than you. All you have to want is the desire, the hustle. You just have to put it forth, you have to implement it. But the dream is alive for every single one of you listening to this. And I love that you are being so vulnerable in telling us, hey, even today, I still go through it. I still question myself, I still wonder, should I have been on that stage? And I can tell you, I would have much rather heard about the courage to fail than wormholes. And I think anybody listening to this can say the same thing because it's something that is truly something that we all need to exercise, something that we all need mentally, right? So I I love that for you. I think that you are so inspiring. I really love your story so much. So you built something from nothing, Liana, and you are now like, so for you, what does life look like now? You're helping coach people, you're helping people with their mindset. Like, tell us how could you, the people listening today, how could they work with you and benefit?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so I do have my one-on-one coaching. I have strategy sessions for those people that just need a tweak. And then I have created um what I needed most. So it's a selfish creation. Um, but I um started the accountability collective where a group of amazing business owners meet on Mondays. We list out the three things that we're doing that week to move our business forward, and then we meet on Fridays to say, Did you do it? Woo! So um that's what I've had the biggest amount of traction in for um for our business owners who are really just kind of getting to know me andor they know what they need to do. They have those systems, but um, the promises that they keep breaking are never to their clients and never to their staff. It's always to themselves. Sure. Right. So I created that for them. And it's honestly the most fun. I I I get such a kick out of it. Um, I learn something each and every time we meet. Um, so I'm the facilitator, but I'm also very much a participant. Um, like you said, I think um being transparent and being vulnerable with everybody, it's just it it shows that you're human. I think so many times as entrepreneurs, we think, okay, if I get to this level, everything will be okay. Or if I make this much money, or if I have this many. No, it's there's never a magic number where everything, you know, becomes easy. There's not a magic system where you no longer have stress or worries, right? Like that's not the world we live in. So I think that the more that we have honest conversations with, yeah, I I know the tools and it's still hard. Or yeah, I I sold the company and now I'm starting from scratch. You know how many times I've questioned, why in the world did I sell a business that was on autopilot, paid for a beautiful life? Yeah. And I'm just like, you know what? Let me start all over. Let's start over. Why not? Right? Why not? Yeah. So I mean, I question these things. And at the end of the day, would I sell it again? Absolutely in a heartbeat without hesitation.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01That doesn't mean that it's that it wasn't hard or that it's not, you know, a struggle sometimes with where I am now. Um, but the more we have those conversations and people understand, I think the more grace we learn to give ourselves. If you're struggling and overcame it, I'm struggling, maybe I can overcome it. Or, and now, now that I've overcome it, how can I help the person that might be two steps behind me?
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_00For sure. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_01It creates a much different environment.
SPEAKER_00What a your outlook is just um, it's not just human, but it's it's something that like everyone can relate to, you know? It's like for anybody out there who I think so many people just think, man, that person got where they are because of this, you know, oh, I don't have that, or whatever. Guys, she was making 80 bucks a massage as a single mom. Got told, hey, sorry, this route that you thought you were gonna do is no longer gonna work for you. Can you try this? That's what started her, the whole trajectory of her life. And now, like she said, she had this beautiful business that was paying for a beautiful life that she then gave herself. Really, you earned that, Liana. You earned the opportunity to say, you know what? I'm ready to step away from this. I'm ready to move on. And what a powerful thing to have in your life. Because so many of us are just like ball and chain stuck to something that we hate, that we don't want, and we feel absolutely stuck. So for you to have worked hard, had that grit behind everything you were building, had the tenacity to make it happen in the background, getting all these degrees and everything you're earning, like this is another true example of how there is no perfect time. That was a really hard time in your life. How old were you when you were a single mom? Uh, I just turned 30. 30 years old as a single mom, having to figure out her life so that she could put all she wanted to do is put food on the table and support her and her child. All of us moms can relate to that. Like that is something fierce comes out inside of you, though, when you know that you're like fighting for that. So I I am so inspired by you. And I know every single person listening to this is as well. This is a very powerful conversation. And I think what you've highlighted so clearly is that you don't need more content, right? You don't need more hustle, you don't need more noise, you just need clarity. You need support and you need someone to help you see what you can't see on your own. That is such a powerful message. So for anyone listening who feels seen in this, please tell them how they can connect with you.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, absolutely. So all of our social media handles are at Debellevue Consulting. Um, but in order to work with us, to get some time on my calendar, to learn more about the collective, anything like that, that's our website, uh www.debellewconsulting.com.
SPEAKER_00I love this so much. And girl, you better be letting me in that accountability group because I'm gonna be looking for that later today. I need that. As a business owner, as a mom, life gets hectic, life gets busy, and accountability is really gonna hold you true to what you desire, what you want to build. So thank you for the work that you've done in your past life, in your current life. Everything that you're doing is benefiting others. And that is just pure magic, in my opinion. So I really appreciate you being here today, Liana. Thank you so much.
SPEAKER_01Thank you for having me. I thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed it. Appreciate your time.
SPEAKER_00Oh, absolutely. And everybody, I want you to listen to the whisper, the whisper theory. I want you to make sure that you are really assessing yourself for blind spots and not being afraid to ask others what those are. And truly, if you are really ready to level up, get in Liana's inbox, get something scheduled with her, understand how she's helping others to truly take things to levels and beyond, right? Girl, I ask you. Why not you? Have a great day, everybody. If something in this episode made you sit up a little straighter or dream a little bigger, don't ignore it. That's your future nudging you. I'm living proof that you can start messy, start scared, start in the worst timing, and still create something beautiful. Thank you for listening to Girl Why Not You.
