Shane Van Gisbergen for the final time up here in turn number two. He brought a gun to a knife fight today.com.

SPEAKER_03

If you were to have told me that Shane Van Gisbergen were to win at Watkins Glen, I wouldn't be surprised, but I would have been surprised by the way he had to do it. Ty Gibbs and Connor Zilich were both on a strategy to stay out. Meanwhile, SVG on Fresher tires tracked them down for the win from 20 seconds back. Here's how big this win is for momentum for both SVG and Track House.

SPEAKER_01

And yeah, it's been a tough year. So if we can get the ship turned around a bit and keep building it up, it's been feeling like it's getting somewhere the last few weeks. So hopefully we keep that going.

SPEAKER_03

Shane is at seven wins in the NASCAR Cup series. So what does that mean to him?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's a pretty cool number now. Um it's it's just awesome to keep adding to it and I feel like I'm getting closer on the ovals to getting good results. Um but yeah, in the meantime, it's pretty cool to win some win some more road races and yeah, score some big points.

SPEAKER_03

Ty Gibbs, as I mentioned, stayed out trying to best SVG on a different strategy. He wound up finishing third. Here's what Ty had to say after the race.

SPEAKER_02

Um yeah, it was a good day to come on third. Good points here for us. And uh after the last two weeks of getting destroyed last week and then getting destroyed the week before to Aldega. So uh yeah, good rebound. I think you know we're we're really doing well, proving ourselves as a top five team, and um almost keep working here and keep racing, hopefully knock some wins off more.

Teams will move from Watkins Glen to Dover this weekend to race for a million dollars in the All-Star race. For PRN's garage pass, this is Andrew Curly.
