Justin Allgaier did what not many people can say they've done: win a NASCAR race on Saturday night and run a triathlon on Sunday morning. He talks about his experience on today's show.

Justin Allgeyer did what not a lot of people in racing have done. Win on Saturday night, race of triathlon on Sunday morning. We're gonna hear from Justin on how that race went right after this. For PRN's Garage Pass. This is Andrew Curling. Justin Allgyer is the type of guy to push the boundaries on the racetrack and off. He won on Saturday night and then raced to triathlon the next morning. As a triathlete myself, I'll tell you, that's probably not the first thing you want to do in terms of preparing for a race the next day. But Justin Allgyer did it. He talked to our friend Lee Spencer about it. Here's what he had to say. I woke up this morning and my uh my watch told me I had 1% recovery from uh from last night, but it was cool, you know, first time doing it, and you know, push your body to limits you didn't sometimes you don't know existed. I even helped the lady take the flat tire, so that was kind of fun. Uh but but it was an awesome day and cool experience. Lots of folks down there. Just uh really special. Anytime you can have a have a day like that after a night like last night, it I didn't care how I finished today as long as I finished it. It's just like Justin to help a fellow competitor out during the race. He told me before the race he was concerned about the swim portion. Here's how he said that went. That might have been the only brightest spot of the day was the swimming. Everything else was lackluster, but um I didn't drown. I had a special red cap that uh signified that I might need a little help. So I met a lady that worked um that worked for the event, that she's a big NASCAR fan. And she and her husband watched a race last night. She walked us through everything, and she was on one of the kayaks and she said, I will look for you and I will make sure you don't drown. So that ease it a little bit. And it sounds like a half iron man is next in the books for Justin. We're gonna see how he does. If he's as good of a race car driver as he is triathlete, I'm sure he'll do great. For PRN's Garage Pass, this is Andrew Curland. Vehicle safety starts underneath.
