Join the guys this week as we have our first rant about PSLs, a look at baseball, and the push towards the Stanley Cup playoffs.

SPEAKER_01

Hello and welcome back to Full Strength Podcast, everybody. Welcome to episode number 13. Thank you for joining us again. Um, we are back. We love it. Uh last week's episode was absolutely fantastic. I hope you got to listen to it. Hope you're listening to it or going to. Um, so kick this right off the bat uh with some big NFL news. We'll hit that. Um, we've got uh NBA and the NHL. We're getting down to the nitty-gritty. Here we go. Um, the NC2A tournament, both tournaments have champions. Very, very exciting. NHL again is getting really down to it. It's getting pretty big. Baseball, still in the beginning stages, but uh, you know, we're kind of just cruising along now. We're about 12 to 15 games in. Um, so we'll talk a little bit about that. But right now, um, let's see how everybody's week was, man. Steve, how was your week, buddy?

SPEAKER_00

It was a good week. Enjoyed the uh NCAA finals. That was on my TV a lot all weekend long, and some hockey was on there. Yeah, it was a good Easter too.

SPEAKER_01

So um, yeah, good, good, good. Happy Easter, yeah. Forgot all about that. Um, right on, man. Welcome back. We made it to 13 episodes. It's crazy. Um, Nick, how was your week, brother?

SPEAKER_04

Week was good, man. We celebrated uh Easter with our neighborhood's second annual Easter egg hunt that me and my neighbor uh started last year. So that was kind of fun. I love that to continue. Absolutely love that, dude. And then later tonight, it's uh my son's end of hockey season party at the break. So we got open skate, pizza, and uh cupcakes. So take the kids to skate pretty much as soon as we're gonna record the podcast. Of course. All right, right on. Yeah, we I'll send you a video to prove that I know how to skate still.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, my kids' team does it every year. And so it's like uh I love, love, love. And the older they get, remember, these kids are getting better. And so it's like, but I love just uh yeah, they're at the age now my son is and they're good enough where it's like I'm like really putting it on them and having fun. It's it's it's a good time. So, right on, man. Congratulations. Also, I love the Easter egg thing. I don't really celebrate Easter too much, but um we do 4th of July huge in my neighborhood. And when I moved into that neighborhood, there was a there was uh an old couple that had mentioned that they used to do stuff, and I kind of just ran with it. And now um Ashley and I, and with the help of uh a couple of our other neighbors that get involved as well, we do a huge Fourth of July block party. So um love that, man. Awesome. Well, grunt, great. I'm glad you're back again. Uh Brandon, the stuff trainer, what kind of stuff did you get into this week?

SPEAKER_03

I'm doing better now after a real horrible night. We're at nine o'clock at night, my kitchen flooded because of my garbage disposal going out. So that gets that all shut off. And then, you know, we get the adrenaline going, so you can't fall asleep. Finally get to sleep, and then at 2 a.m. I get awoken to the sound of beep. No, beep. You got fire alarmed at 2 a.m.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Smoke alarmed, excuse me. It was a rough night. When it rains, it pours, man. Jeez.

SPEAKER_03

How does it always know to go off in the middle of the night? Why can't they go off through the day?

SPEAKER_01

It just it just does, man. It's it just does. It's just how it goes.

SPEAKER_03

So a rough night. But but they're always there's always that great feeling of accomplishment when you do something like replace your garbage disposal on your own.

SPEAKER_00

Well, that's always fun. Getting the tools out.

SPEAKER_01

Or replace the battery in the uh in the smoke detector, right? I love that. That's so great. Well, good, man. I'm glad. Welcome back. We are here, we've made it to episode number 13 again, which is great. Um, so let's uh let's dive right into it. Uh, you know, again, NFL teams are getting ready for the draft. It is coming up in Pittsburgh. Um, but we had talked about and kind of criticized the Raiders for letting Geno Smith go. We know that they're probably gonna take Mendoza. I mean, let's be honest, that's who they're gonna take uh from Indiana. That's gonna be, you know, they're hoping that'll be their quarterback of the future. But it's like, listen, I've always been against having these guys just come out of the gates and start right away, right? It's just like you're feeding them to the wolves. It's it's terrible. Geno Smith was, I thought would be a great quarterback for him to sit behind. They let him go. But they signed Kirk Cousins, five years, $172 million. Um, it says acting as a one-year, $20 million guaranteed bridge deal to the 2026 season. The deal allows the Raiders to pay only $11.3 million of that amount with the remaining $8.7 million still covered by the Falcons. Okay. I'm wanted to bring that up. So it great quarterback to have in front of a young rookie. I I I don't care if people still don't like Kirk Cousins, and I find that baffling because the kid, I remember the kid was just putting up monster numbers, you know, for so many years. I think he's and he's a great person. He's a uh just a perfect pro. You know what I mean? Like just does everything right, follows, you know, knows how to be a professional, right? At that level in the NFL. I think it's brilliant.

SPEAKER_00

It just unfortunately with him, it just comes down to the winning aspect. He just doesn't carry a team far enough, which makes him look because he's a great player. He does well, he's he's consistent. I just don't think he's ever been in the perfect situation, though, Steve. It's like, you know, I don't know. Most quarterbacks haven't well, yeah, most quarterbacks haven't been in the perfect situation. But I mean, it unfortunately just comes down to him because he just not he doesn't finish it in the playoffs. No, I get it.

SPEAKER_01

But I mean, you put up like he did the other year, he put up 27 points. Uh, they put up like 400 yards passing and four touchdowns, had a QBR in like the 130s, I believe.

SPEAKER_00

But his defense just laid down and played the solid choice for the Raiders, especially just that's what I mean. I think there's and for Mendoza, period.

SPEAKER_04

Like specifically Mendoza is so similar.

SPEAKER_01

But I think Steve's Steve was kind of getting on my uh on me a little bit because I was like, you know, he did get criticized a lot. That's all Steve's saying there. But I and and he's right. And Nick, I I love it for Mendoza. I think it's a great, great quarterback to have in front of you to learn from.

SPEAKER_04

I think he's already and he's worked with uh with Kubiak before for what three years in Minnesota. So yeah, like those two already know each other and have a relationship, and then to bring in Mendoza, I think it's gonna be a great idea.

SPEAKER_01

I think for you, let him and don't rush him. Fuck, you guys are gonna suck. For you're still gonna suck.

SPEAKER_04

I can show you many. It's I can show you many examples of bringing in that you know, that number one pick.

SPEAKER_01

You're bringing in, you're bringing in good players, though. You're starting to. I mean, you know, you've got you know a fantastic tight end, you've got some good pieces here. I I think this is great. I really do. And you got you know, this draft plus another draft, and it's like, okay, let's start building a team in Vegas. I think it's good. Brandon, you got anything, you live there.

SPEAKER_03

No, the only thing I'm not sure of is I know he had a Killy's tendon injury in the past. I don't know how easily that could get re-injured. That's my only worry.

SPEAKER_01

It you know, here's the thing, Brandon, on those nowadays, it's just it you look back 20, 30 years ago, that's career end, career's over, right? Like it's now it's Christ, man. There you've it's like uh I'll just use this as an example in today's um in today's medical world. It's like remember the Tommy John surgery for pitchers used to be game ending. It was a career ender. Now it's like guys have two or three of them before their career ends. So I I think it's gonna be okay just because it's medicine is advanced so far, they do such a good job repairing these guys now. So it's like I don't I don't think it'll be that bad. Plus, you're playing on natural grass, which I think is a is a great thing. Yeah, so but you never know. You never know when it comes to injuries. So and it's it is a good point. He is older, so yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Outside of that, you know, having Kubiak there with him, I think it's yeah, good pairing.

SPEAKER_01

I yeah, Kubiak's just Kubiak's great for Mendoza anyway. So it's like you add in cousins, like just learning how to be a pro, following him. It's gonna be a great quarterback room. I just again, I'm a big fan of this signing.

SPEAKER_04

I really imagine how many darnits and shucks is there gonna be said in that quarterback room with those two guys at the helm.

SPEAKER_01

Gosh, darn it to heck. I love it. Yeah, that's a good point. They're just such uh they, you know, yeah, they don't cuss, they don't do any of that stuff. It'll be fun. So um, anyway, that's really it with the NFL. Again, just a couple of weeks away from the NFL draft. Uh, we will be covering that. Um Steve, Nick, and Brandon are flying out here. We're gonna be live on scene at the uh draft. So I'm just kidding. We'll be driving the boats across the river. We'll wave so everybody, full strength podcast. Yeah, no, I'm just kidding. Um, we're not big enough. We can lie like that. No one will know, yeah. Yeah, we're not there yet. So no, it's just a joke. Um anyway, so uh rolling right along. Um here's the thing. I I we were talking about this, and we were talking about these. There's some new stadiums that are going up. I don't know if you guys saw the uh the stadium in Vegas is going, is progressing very, very well. That's gonna be a great ballpark right on the strip. Um, it's funny. I listen, I look at a lot of comments on that, and it's just like, God, people are so dumb. It's it's incredible. Um anyway, you got a new stadium opening in Buffalo. Um, I yeah, I'm not a Bills fan. I did add season tickets to the Bills for 12 years. Um, and I'll talk more about why I no longer have season tickets. Um, Nashville, the 2028, the stadium's going up. We got stadiums possibly being built in Gary, Indiana for the Bears. Love that. Chicago, get them out of Chicago. It's the uh they don't want they don't want to pony up for a stadium that they're gonna own, not the team. The team's not gonna own the stadium, and they don't want to pay for it. Great. Indiana 45 minutes away. Dude, just like uh, you know, the 49ers have done it. Uh Dallas doesn't play in Dallas, they play in Fort Worth. It's like just yeah. So you got the Bears, the Browns are gonna be building a new stadium. The Redskins are gonna sorry, Commanders are gonna be building a new stadium. Um careful. I love the Commanders Stadium. Um, it's the Redskins, it'll always be the Redskins. Um I agree. They're building a new stadium that's gonna be just like old RFK. It's in the RFK spot, and um, so you got all these new stadiums going up, right? So why are we why am I bringing this up? Why don't I have season tickets to the Buffalo Bills anymore? By the way, I had 50-yard line club seats. I was three rows up in the club section. Beautiful seats, some of the best seats you could get at that stadium. I had fully planned, I was like, yeah, I'll get state tickets in the new stadium because people were asking. And then I found out that they were going uh, they just pretty much ruined that with uh three words a personal seat license, a PSL. One of the most disgusting but despicable things teams do. Okay, so I I have been researching these and following these since 1997, guys. The San Francisco Giants, they came out and they were like, we're gonna privately finance our stadium. No, you're not. You're going to sell personal seat licenses. What is a personal seat license? People might ask. A personal seat license is a one-time fee that teams charge you to have the right to buy season tickets. That's it. That's all a personal seat license does. It gives you the right to buy season tickets every year. What if I don't buy season tickets, Brandon? Well, the team revokes your PSL and you don't get anything. Uh you get nothing. Okay. Now, what are they gonna do? They're gonna build every team does this. I went to the Bills. They take a spot out, they get a building, and they build the stadium experience, right? So this is gonna be the new stadium, and they walk you through it and they tell you these big words. We look at this, we built this for you, this is for the fans, or yeah, this really went in. They wanted this for the fans. And oh, we built this for you, this is for you. Isn't this cool? This is for you. This is for the fans, this is an investment in your future. Oh, it's a great thing. This is it's an investment, it's a it's a great investment, uh, for your family. Uh okay. It's an investment, all right. Super Bowl, I'm not bitter. Super Bowl winning teams. Uh if you have a team that wins a Super Bowl, the World Series, whatever, a championship-winning team, people that try to sell their PSL the year after their team wins a championship, they are lucky on average to get 47% of their original investment.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Two four people. I was just talking to somebody in Pittsburgh who spent $20,000 per seat. They bought four seats, cost them eighty thousand dollars. Okay, they recently sold that PSL, all of them, for sixteen thousand dollars is what they got in return for their PSLs. That was the best they could get was $4k per seat. So that investment turned into a $64,000 loss. Okay. Um, the San Francisco 49ers. Um sounds like you don't want to be the first person to buy them. You don't want to ever buy them. Um, what they do to fan bases, you look at the Toronto Maple Leafs. It went from jerseys in the lower level to suits. Because corporations buy them up. Um who else buys them? Ticket brokers. Ticket brokers are a great one as an example that buy these up as much as they can because they know that they're gonna make a ton of money on them initially. Um, right now I just looked. The Buffalo Bills are uh tickets are going in the upper level for preseason for $300 a ticket.

unknown

What the fuck?

SPEAKER_01

That's so dumb. So I yeah, I used to give away my preseason tickets. Uh nobody wants to go to the preseason. It's it's boring. It's nobody's really playing. It's like, you know, I would always just give them away for free. And so anyway, so yeah, that's what people are doing. Um, these things destroy fan bases, they price out real fans. Um, I again, it was like I went through the thing and I can afford the PSL, no issue there. Um, mine were gonna be 50 uh well, it's right around $60,000 a seat for my comparable tickets. So $120,000. Okay. The San Francisco 49ers, top five rows, upper level corners were going for $15,000 a seat, guys. Top five rows in the stadium. Anything in the lower level, you weren't getting into the lower level for anything under $75,000 per seat. The Cowboys was $85,000, starting lower level PSLs. Okay, so we bring up why do teams do this? Well, the teams, you know, again, here's where the problem comes in is a little bit of local government will not does not want to sell the land or give up the stadium. They want to own the stadium, right? They want to own the stadium because it is a financial, it's it's a moneymaker, right? So you have people out there that are like, well, son of a bitch. I none of my taxes are going to that stadium to be built. Well, that's fine, and I, you know, sure. But okay, well, then the owner needs to own a hundred percent of that, okay? Would you buy your house or would you pay for your home to be built? Okay, and you have absolutely no ownership in it. Would anybody want to do that? No, no, so I'm not gonna pay for it. And it's not a problem because there are plenty of cities and places that are like, yeah, we'll build you a stadium. No problem, right? Chicago's going through that right now. Um, city doesn't want to pay for the stadium to be built, but they don't want to give up prime real estate to the owner and some other stuff, and I don't know all the ins and outs of it. Um because you know, I it doesn't matter. The point is, PSLs are the most despicable thing. Sports fans don't buy them. People that are trying to make money do real sports fans that know what PSLs are, don't buy these things. They they're they're just absolutely despicable, they are not an investment. If you fell for that, you have been duped. I'm sorry to tell you. PSLs are worse than that. Sounds like a timeshare. It it Steve, it's worse. It's I mean, it's on the same level, but it's it holds, it loses value faster than a shitty used car being driven off of a lot. And it's just doesn't matter how good the team is, you lose money. You have read the fine print because I have. If you don't sell that PSL or buy season tickets, you lose it, it's gone. You get nothing, nothing. And they always tell you, like, well, we're different, we're not like all like because the Bills called me. Oh my god, um teen times, guys. It just I've been called four times total after I told them no. The last time they called me, I was like, Hey man, what's up? And he's like, Hey, he's like, you know, you're a premium seat holder, or you were at the old stadium. He's like, Can I ask why you left? And I was like, Yeah, three letters, P S N L. He was like, That's the only reason you're not getting tickets, and I was like, Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

And he was like, Oh, like that's not a good enough reason.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I'm like, Yeah, dude, no, I'm not an idiot. I know exactly what PSLs are, what they represent. And that is the dismantling of a of a fan base as far as going to games live. It's just they're they're disgusting. Um, they are probably the most shameful thing in professional sports. It's they're despicable.

SPEAKER_00

Sounds like it's just another money grab it's a huge.

SPEAKER_01

It is what builds the stadium. When they say that it's privately financed, that's bullshit. It's not privately financed, the fans fund it. So um, what should happen is the cities, if they want to own these stadiums, and by the way, four owners own their stadium in the NFL. I that's which team is uh you'd have to look it up. I just know that it's a four. So, and it's like you have teams um like for instance the Arizona Cardinals. The Arizona Cardinals do not have PSLs and they own their stadium. I that alone makes that one of the best ownership groups in all of football, in all of professional sports. That's an ownership group that actually gives a shit about the fan base. And it's uh, you know, you can give me the song and dance all day long, guys. You do PSLs, you do not give two shits about your fan base in any way, shape, or form. At all. At all, period. I I don't care what you say. I don't care what your excuses, I don't care what you have to say at all. You do not give a flying F about your fan base if you do PSLs. You don't care. Period. And if you buy a PSL, don't call yourself a sports fan. Period. Do not call yourself a sports fan because you go against everything that sports should represent by buying one of the most disgusting things in on our planet, honestly. If you really break them down and read about them and what they've done to fans bases. Yeah, go ahead, Nick.

SPEAKER_04

Sorry. Um, are you familiar with the Packers refundable user fee for their season ticket holders?

SPEAKER_01

No, I do know that the Packers, you know, they have a really great program with and I was I was surprised. It's a pretty cool program.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. It's like $2,000 a seat. And if you do not renew and you're in good standing with your season ticket purchase, you get your uh two thousand one hundred dollars back personally.

SPEAKER_01

Well, here's here's the other thing, too, is like the Packers have like a s what is it, a forty some odd year wait. I don't know what it is right now, but they have a huge wait list. So it's like they, you know, the Packers are definitely that organization is different in a lot of good ways. So you know.

SPEAKER_04

It's hard for me to agree, but I agree with you.

SPEAKER_01

I know. I know. I know that the Raiders did PSLs when they moved to Vegas. I would imagine that the A's are gonna do them as well.

SPEAKER_00

Looks like Denver is planning on doing it as well.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Sad.

SPEAKER_01

It's disgusting, man. It's become they've normalized one of the most despicable things in all of sports. And it what makes me mad is that, yeah, I can afford the PSLs. I it's not about the money. It's what the fans that don't. You have fans that have had season tickets for 40 years in the upper level that brave the cold, depending on the area, or wherever it is. And now you're gonna come at those types of people and you're gonna say, hey, we need $45,000.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, it was started in California.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Stanford is the one that started it.

SPEAKER_01

Was it Stanford University? Yeah. It I knew it was in the Bay Area. I thought it was the Giants. But um anyway, it you look at you look at it and it's like, yeah, we can finance them for you. We'll finance them at 15% over two over 10 years. So you want these people now to pay another mortgage. It's it's it's despicable, dude. It's despicable. And if you buy one, you're equally despicable. I'm unapologetic about this. Go ahead and let me have it in the comments with your excuse.

SPEAKER_00

But if you buy a PSL apparently, you can blame uh Carolina Charlotte Stadium first happening in the NFL. They were the first team to do it. In the NFL, right.

SPEAKER_01

It just and now again, it's become the norm. I absolutely applaud owners that do not do it. But again, it comes down a lot to also to the cities and states, you know, they want to own these stadiums. Well, guess what? Then you're gonna have to pay for it. Okay? These owners, people don't, I don't even think people realize these owners pay rent. They pay leases, they they give them money for the parking and some of them possess um concessions and stuff like that. It's like no. If you want to own the stadium, fine. You want me to pay for it? Then I own it. Why do you think three teams in five years left Oakland? Stop playing the victim. Three teams in five years isn't an ownership problem, guys. And you can say what you want, but I read what they were trying to make John Fisher do at the Howard Terminal site. Like they wanted some $10 billion thing, and they wanted this. And they said they had all these stipulations. And it was like, okay, so they had all these stipulations, right? For him to do this, and they were gonna give him like $300 million. Those numbers aren't accurate right now, but it was like, get fucked. Screw you. PSL bad. Yeah, so anyway, um, that's my thing on the PSLs. Um, again, uh they're just so disgusting and despicable, and if you buy one, you should be ashamed of yourself. So um yeah, anyway, let's move on. Enough of that. And uh, you know, again, real quick, these stadiums are gonna be beautiful. They are, they're absolutely gonna be amazing, and uh yeah, I think that I love the new stadiums. I think what they're building is great, they're all they're all amazing, but if if they're built this way, it's disgusting and despicable. So ruins fan bases. Anyway, moving on, okay, NC2A women's tournament. Let's give a round of applause to Ukla. Uckla UCLA, UCLA won. UCLA is the women's national champion. Um, and then on the men's side, the University of Michigan. Bitch blue. God, did they dominate Arizona? I wasn't expecting that. I thought it was gonna be a great game. Uh Yukon. Uh yeah, but they had to play Arizona to get to Yukon. Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I thought it was absolutely what an incredible just they just beat them to the oh. They dominated them the whole game. So when they were gonna play Yukon, I was like, okay, well, it's gonna be a blowout. I was pleasantly surprised by the game last night. I was like, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I was surprised, but you could just tell that Michigan was outplaying them most of the game. It was, don't get me wrong, it was a close game. Yukon did play well. Yeah, I don't know, but watching the game, you I could you could just tell that Michigan that they were horrible shooting. Yeah, that that free throws that didn't help, but it was terrible.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, but that's how good Michigan is, so we got to give them credit. I mean, it's they they controlled underneath that that basket. Yeah, 100%. 100%. I just again, it was just it was Michigan probably should have won the game. If they shoot better, then yeah, obviously it's gonna be a lot, it's gonna be a blowout. But I again, yukon was just I thought they had a lot of resolve. They just stayed in it, they kept pushing. It was like just a great season, and uh, but hands applaud Michigan. Congratulations. Let's also bring a bravo. What's that?

SPEAKER_00

As a bravo to them, a bravo to them, especially taking Arizona out the way they did, like you were talking about, dude.

SPEAKER_01

I I really I Arizona in one of my brackets, I had Arizona winning it, but I was like, I don't know, but I like the Sweet 16. I was like, dude, is anybody gonna stop Michigan? Like they're just so good. They were just so good. So they came out wanting to win the championship. Oh, yeah, 100%. Like it was it was pretty ridiculous. So um, Nick, Brandon, you guys have any thoughts on it?

SPEAKER_04

I was just gonna say that I had not realized that the coach for the uh for UConn was Dan Hurley for the last couple years and how good he has been. Oh my god. I because I remember watching him and Christian Leitner when Duke was you know Duke recently, like when they were just unstoppable for years on end. And then to see him now coaching and have this level of success to make it to these many championship games, these he had back-to-back wins. Um it's good for UConn still, but congratulations to Michigan. Now we got to see if the uh Michigan frozen uh hockey team in the frozen four can bring home another another W.

SPEAKER_01

So real quick, just a quick correction, Nick. That's Dan Hurley, not Bobby Hurley. What did I say?

SPEAKER_04

Oh, I you were thinking it was Bobby Hurley. I did think it was Bobby Hurley. Yeah, totally.

SPEAKER_01

No, no, it's Dan's dumb. No, you're you're not dumb. Stop it. Brandon, go ahead. You look like you're smiling, like you're gonna make fun of him. Be nice.

SPEAKER_03

No, no, I'll bring you stat, you're gonna know where I'm going with this. Before I looked it up, uh, just four of the five starters for Michigan, new players to the team this year. Same with six out of the eight of their bench.

SPEAKER_02

Jesus.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. So only three players from last year.

SPEAKER_01

So it's a transfer portal built team. Yep. Just like Indiana.

SPEAKER_03

And going off of that, some news I saw from yesterday, uh Tennessee Ladies Volunteers basketball team have zero returning players next year.

unknown

Wow.

SPEAKER_00

Wow. They either have to be a little bit more than a lot of segment on that.

SPEAKER_01

It's we we've done it, and it's again though, it's it's it's it's gotta be fixed. It we talked about this. I know we've beat this to death, but guys, it's you've gotta have a requirement. Like you've gotta, they've gotta be told you gotta stay somewhere for at least two years. This is dumb.

SPEAKER_04

This is dumb. One transfer before graduation, five years, something it has to be congregated.

SPEAKER_01

Ridiculous fine. Yeah, I'm like, this is okay.

SPEAKER_00

This so when they graduate, who who gives them their diploma? Which school?

SPEAKER_01

Who the frick knows?

SPEAKER_00

Whatever.

SPEAKER_01

They're not, that's true, too. They're not at at that the the MBA, it's you know, it's no, it's yeah, some do a lot do. I mean, look at Shaq. That dude's a genius. He has his degree in business, I think, from uh from uh LSU. I mean, he's he's a genius. Um, you got a bunch of others that do, but it's like, no, man, they a lot of them, a lot of these athletes just don't. They don't care. It's like, I get it, I get it. You want to win a championship, or but it this is ridiculous. It's ruining the sport. I mean, 100%. I it's it's ruining college sports. It's like, okay, well, Indiana bought a championship, and now you have this team by the championship. It's like I you don't see it in hockey, so I you know, I don't I don't know.

unknown

I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

Watching this Carolina game. Five goals already in the first period. That's crazy.

SPEAKER_01

Um anyway, that's Brandon. Yeah, thanks for bringing it up. I mean, it's got it, you know. It's you gotta talk about it. You have to continue to talk about it because it's a story, it's a thing. It's it's I I know a lot of people that hate it, and it I get it. It sucks. I know, I know. It listen, it it's not that transferring is bad, but every year, yeah, like, okay, let's they're gonna, I feel like at some point they're gonna put a kind of a hold on this. It's gonna be like, okay, let's two years. At least just stay for two years. You have to stay for two years. So I think you don't think so?

SPEAKER_00

I think it's too much money being changed hands in this for this to ever be uh looked at. I mean, they'll they'll they'll I they'll pretend to look at it, but nothing's gonna change as long as money's being exchanged like it is.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. I no, and I I I hear what you're saying, I get it. But anyway, well, that closes out NC2A basketball. Um, you heard Nick say we've also got the frozen four in Vegas coming up. Let's go. I'm pumped for this. Um, but you guys obviously know I love hockey. Um you've got some just absolutely just ridiculously good matchups coming up. And yes, can Michigan win it all? Steve, what do you think?

SPEAKER_00

Uh I yeah, you know, I thought we did talk about this. Who did I? I think I did say, I think I believe Michigan. I would thought Millet, Michigan was gonna take it all the way.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so I thought you said, I think you said uh, I thought you said North Dakota, but you've so you've got Wisconsin versus North Dakota, um, April 9th at 5 p.m. And then you've got Denver University, Denver University against Michigan. Denver University is a uh it's dude, they're fire. I mean, they're a wagon, dude. They are they're gonna be tough. Um, DU, I believe in Division I men's hockey has the most uh national championships all time. I think it's 11. Um, Michigan, obviously, is a storied franchise. University of North Dakota, storied franchise in hockey. Wisconsin, storied franchise. So, or storied school program. Sorry, I'm saying franchise.

SPEAKER_04

These these four teams are the top four all time in NCAA men's hockey titles. Isn't that correct in order? Denver 10, Michigan nine, North Dakota eight, Wisconsin six.

SPEAKER_01

It's literally almost is that what it is? I thought uh DU had 11. Is it 10?

SPEAKER_04

My research has them at 10, uh maybe 11.

SPEAKER_01

10, 9, 8, and 6. Yeah, that's great pull there, Nick. It's listen, it is a storybook frozen 4. I mean, it is absolutely just freaking awesome. I freaking love this. Um, the North Dakota Sioux, man, I that's a good team. Wisconsin has pulled out some great victories. Denver and Michigan are Denver and Michigan. So I I I love that that is the semi. I know some people are probably gonna say, like, whoever wins that is gonna win the national championship, but I just Wisconsin and UND are both having great seasons. So I I'm loving this, Brandon. Yeah, you going? Are you going?

SPEAKER_03

No, no.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, come on, because of the PSLs. He doesn't like that the ticket price is 300 bucks. Buddy, it's the frozen game game. No, it's not.

SPEAKER_03

I don't care. No, both games are just stuff. That's for one game.

SPEAKER_04

I can go eight dollars to go watch NAU play hockey here.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

That's a good deal right there.

SPEAKER_01

That's a good deal. I would pay $500 to go see the frozen four.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, then pay me $500 and I'll go see it.

SPEAKER_01

I don't think you go or not. I'm just saying I think I would go.

SPEAKER_00

Um, he'll go if you give him the $500. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And then the national championship game will be on Saturday, April 11th. Uh, it'll be broadcast on ESPN um and ESPN too. If you want to stream, um, it'll be on ESPN Plus. So uh great. It's gonna be awesome. I'm I'm pumped. It's a 5 30 p.m. Eastern uh championship game on Saturday. So um also the games uh tomorrow will also be on uh ESPN Plus. So and uh ESPN. So they're late enough. I'll probably watch them. Oh, I'm gonna watch them. Yeah, I know I've been staying up way too late watching hockey. Like I've been exhausted at where I'm like sitting at my desk, like I'm still hurting from last night's game.

SPEAKER_00

Are you? Yeah. Brutal, huh? When you gotta get up at five in the morning and you go into bed as late as I did, it hurts.

SPEAKER_01

I know. I I'm up at 10 to 5. So um that's part of being on the east coast. I know, man. And it's like, you know, it's funny. I was I was just talking, somebody was asking me, this was a while ago, and they said, Do you miss anything about the West Coast? And I'm like, No, not really. I said, but I do miss um like sports. Oh, yeah, I would explain to them like especially football. Yeah, so Sundays in Vegas. It's I know you can bet anywhere, I get it, but this was different. You get up at like 7:30, 8 o'clock in the morning, grab a quick cup of coffee. I would go to um Rancho Santa Fe um casino, and I would grab a Bloody Mary, and I would grab all your tickets. You'd sit there, you drink your little Bloody Mary, um, or whatever you want. You know what I mean? It's just like a breakfast drink for me on a Sunday. Umadays I'd probably just grab like a Coke Zero or something, but I you'd sit there and you'd look at the board, you'd go through, you'd put in your tickets, you'd get home by like 9:30, games start at 10 a.m. Afternoon, late games are at 1, Sunday night football, 5.20. You're in bed, you're done, 8:30 p.m. Whereas out here, the last game doesn't even start until 8:39 o'clock. Dude, it's brutal. I can't, I hate it. It's like Monday night football, those are hard tickets to get rid of. They used to be tough to get rid of, even when the bills started doing really well. They were hard tickets to get rid of, man. Because everybody's like, shit, man, that's you're not leaving the parking lot till 1 30. I remember I did UFC. UFC 220 was in Buffalo. I went and saw it. Daniel Cormier's like last fight, pro fight, and he won and dude. We didn't even leave the parking lot till 2 30 a.m. Oh, that's brutal. Bro, the main event starts at 1 a.m.

SPEAKER_04

out here. That's ridiculous.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, it's terrible. So yeah, I missed, I missed it.

SPEAKER_04

Would you rather deal would you rather deal with that, Brandon, or have to get up even earlier because games start at 7 a.m. because you live in Hawaii?

SPEAKER_01

I I'd take 7 a.m. Good. Yep. No, yeah, I would take the earlier over the later. Oh, 100%. Yeah, absolutely. I'm good. I'm good with that. Fair. I would not. Anyway, all right. So moving on. Um baseball. We just got through week two. Um, not much going on. I, you know, boy, I thought the sample.

SPEAKER_00

Except for this ABS thing, man. I love it. What's that? Uh loving the ABS, the the calling the plays. I'm just loving it watching these umps and these players.

SPEAKER_01

I think I have been surprised at the amount of misses. It's I I think I think the umps, you know, listen, they they have to get season ready as well. And it's like I I think that I think most of them are okay with it. You know what I mean? It's like I think most umps they want to make sure that the right call is made. So I think it's great. Um, I love the ones that potentially end games and then don't. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I think it's like those lay-inning ones are just great.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I listen, we want to the everybody that watches sports wants it to be right. Am I right? Am I wrong?

SPEAKER_00

I know Brandon to be right, absolutely 100%.

SPEAKER_01

Like Brandon, you were a big fan of this. What do you think so far?

SPEAKER_03

Well, I think it's great. Did you see the first ejection caused by it?

unknown

No.

SPEAKER_01

Well, there's been a couple.

SPEAKER_03

The first one was between the game between the Orioles and Twins.

SPEAKER_01

Where um Okay, because I saw the one with the Reds, and that was, you know, I think we talked about that one last week, but go ahead.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, this was the first one. It was uh it was called a ball, it was should have been a strike, and uh they call the pitcher called for the challenge, and all of a sudden the twins manager comes storming out onto the field, yeah, saying, Hey, no, it's too late. You're he called it too late. That's right. There's only three seconds, you call three, you gotta call within three seconds.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, that's right, because there's a time that's right. Yeah, okay.

SPEAKER_03

Is it a two-second timer? It's actually two seconds, not three in the rule book.

SPEAKER_04

Two-second timer. But it's good that's what I was running into. Go ahead, Brandon.

SPEAKER_03

But um, from what I gather from watching, I think he the manager of the twins was looking at the catcher for him to signal. The catcher signaled, but later on, because it was the pitcher signaled right away for it. But the the home base umpire didn't notice, but the first base umpire did.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, so and so then the catcher did it. So it was in the time frame then.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, yeah, it was immediate. It was good, okay. But the general man the manager was staring at the catcher, not the pitcher. And so he was arguing that it was uh too late. This is like pure chaos.

SPEAKER_01

I'm I miss this. I gotta we'll have to watch this and look it up, but that's that's that's it.

SPEAKER_03

And he wouldn't stop arguing about it, so they had to eject him.

SPEAKER_00

I'm actually finding myself looking forward to one of uh catcher uh calls and calls for calls for it.

SPEAKER_01

You want it because it's like, oh my god. Like um, I did see an interesting talking about ejections. Um, and the the San Francisco Giants, their new manager. I I like that guy, he's fun to watch, he's very animated and young, he's from Tennessee. Um, anyway, he got ejected because uh a player they said went out of the lines, so he was called out. The baseline, and that was a whole thing. That was great. But um, we did have injuries this week, some key injuries to players. We had uh Mets outfielder one soto went down with a calf strain, and Dodgers infielder Mookie Betts. Um both are headed to the injured list. Um additionally, we had Astros Ace, Hunter Brown is out with a shoulder strain, probably only miss a couple of starts. Um and you know, again, we just have teams kind of struggling slow starts, Giants, Red Sox. Um, let's see. Um, I love some of the the I think here's the thing so the athletic. You know, they're in Sacramento right now. God, dude, I'm telling you, that's an up-and-coming team. John Fisher spent a little bit of money. I think that team's gonna be really good at at some point. I think they are gonna build something so that when they move into their new stadium in 28, they're gonna hit the ground running.

SPEAKER_03

That's what I was about to say. They're planning to want to be on fire when they get here.

SPEAKER_01

Why wouldn't you go to a new stadium, start off well? Um, what have you heard, Brandon, locally about them coming? Is it is it positive? Is it mixed? Because I I you know, I know I've you know follow every single team. So it's like I I you know hear both and I hear mostly positive, but you know, some negative. But what are you hearing?

SPEAKER_03

Everything's positive for the locals except the location of the stadium.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Because for those that don't know, uh the location of the stadium is at the corner of the busiest intersection of the strip.

SPEAKER_00

At one of the busiest right now, before the United States. Which corner is that?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it's uh the Las Vegas Boulevard in Tropicana.

SPEAKER_01

It's Caddy Corner from New York, New York. It's right next to MGM and across the street from uh the Excalibur.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, that's right where T-Mobile Stadium is, also where the Knights play.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, so here's the thing, Brandon. You've got parking garages, a great parking garage at the MGM. You've got Excalibur, you've got uh the Luxor, Mandalay Bay, all within walking distance. You can take up, I guarantee there's gonna there's buses, there's bus services like they have a train thing too, like the hockey team in Vegas does. Um park down at the old Sahara or at the SL SLS, the Trump Tower, any of those hotels, jump on the tram. So I like I get it, but I don't at the same time.

SPEAKER_03

It's just like another thing to make driving through there more of a pain in the butt.

SPEAKER_01

If you're not even going to the game, is what you're saying. I just so I okay. I I get it, I can appreciate that. I mean, that's I I get it.

SPEAKER_03

Personally, I would have liked to have seen it more like off of the strip, so like it could sort of have that same view like they have in Pittsburgh where you have the city behind the ballpark. I kind of would have liked to have that design.

SPEAKER_01

Maybe down by like South Point area almost, something like that.

SPEAKER_03

South point, or maybe like more towards like where the Rio is.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, yeah, knock that place down. What a failure that place is anymore. Um, yeah, I I I I get it. I guess I I can understand that. Um, the thing I love about the design is that it looks like the old opera house in Sydney, Australia. Yeah, so it you've got yeah, dude. It's good. I I love it. I think it's awesome. So you've got the pyramids, right? The Luxor. Um you've got Monaco with the Monte Carlo, you've got Italy with the Bellagio, right? And the Paris, New York, New York, New York, New York, you got them all, and then you have San. Now you got Australia. I feel like they did it on purpose. It the design goes right along with the theme of the strip. I think it's great. I I don't care what people say. Listen, they're building these, and everybody's complaining about the capacity being 33,000. It's like, dude, the new Marlin Stadium, Lome Depot Park, which we went to recently, only seats like 34,000. It's perfect, it's beautiful. I think it's perfect.

SPEAKER_03

That amount of seating.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, no, it's like we're talking about what you know, like uh San Francisco is like 45,000. It's like Colorado's like 48. Um, Baltimore's 43, 42. It's like Cleveland's Cleveland's 38 now, 37 actually. It's and I've been to all these ballparks, guys. These are big ballparks, and the crowds are packed, it's loud. I think it's great. So anyway, I I just wanted to throw that in there, you know what I mean? But anyway, it's I think it's great. How do you guys feel? I know Brandon's good about it. Nick, you got anything to add?

SPEAKER_04

I I really don't. I mean, I think that the AIDS are gonna have a PSL if it hasn't already been confirmed officially. Like they're gonna have PSLs at that stadium, and like we said before, that just it's a broken system that's just not a good thing. Well, no, you'll always be able to get a ticket. Yeah, you know, right, but the season ticket holders that live there, like it's just or that are willing to travel, you know. Like for me, it's like a four-hour drive. If I wanted to be a season ticket holder, like I could never pull that off.

SPEAKER_01

No, no, it's but again, it's not something you have to pay every year, but it's yeah, it's anyway. I'm not gonna defend it, it's disgusting. So yeah. Hopefully they don't. Have you heard anything about that, Brandon, as far as season tickets go?

SPEAKER_03

No, no, no.

SPEAKER_01

Update the hockey team in Vegas do that.

SPEAKER_03

No, no.

SPEAKER_01

See what I mean?

SPEAKER_03

No, because our season for there. If they had done that, they wouldn't have done it.

SPEAKER_01

There's a lot of NHL teams that don't do them. So it's like, you know, but then you have you know scumbag owners like in Toronto, and that's why it went from jerseys to suits. Now I think it's you know, whatever 20 years later, now we're back to it, but it's like it's yeah, damage is done. So anyway, um, with that said, that's baseball. You know, long season, we're getting into it. Pitchers are starting. Oh, I did want to add one thing. The number one prospect came up for the Pirates first at bat. Laces a double into the gap. What a great I watched it. I have a buddy that's a big, huge Pirates fan.

SPEAKER_00

Um looks like there was a record breaker, too.

unknown

What's that?

SPEAKER_00

Kevin Gossman, a pitcher, 10 strikeouts in the first two appearances with no walks.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's yeah, he's with Toronto.

SPEAKER_00

First time that's happened since the uh 19 early 1900s.

SPEAKER_01

Whoo! Very nice. Kevin Gosman. Love it. Applaud to you, sir. Hats off. Woo! God, my hair is a mess. Um, anything worse than Nick's. Holy smokes. Um, oh my oh, it looks better now.

SPEAKER_04

Now it's all pressed down. We're good.

SPEAKER_01

Nobody, nobody's as nobody's as sexy as as the stuff, though. So nope. Let's just calm down. We all know I don't want to look bad. So, all right, that's baseball, folks. Uh, let us know what you think. Like, follow, uh, subscribe. Um, you can get us on every single platform on the podcast. Um, give us a subscribe. Also, come check us out on TikTok and YouTube. Uh, Brandon works really hard. Brandon, the stuff trainer at editing these videos, putting them on YouTube. Go subscribe there where you can watch us look like idiots. Um, we enjoy doing it. So, like, follow, subscribe uh, and subscribe. If not anything else, give us a share. Maybe somebody else will like us. But you should. Seriously. What's wrong with you if you don't? We're great. We're awesome. Anyway, with that said, um, let's I'm excited. Here we go. Any shows, we're getting into the final push here, boys. I am pumped up. This has been great. We were absolutely flat out dead wrong on what we thought would happen this week. And that just completely that just shows you how great this is. A lot of these teams went on a slide. The sharks just they went on a slide and then just rattled in a row.

SPEAKER_04

Turned on a dime, man.

SPEAKER_01

They cannot beat Nashville. That is like their kryptonite. And then they turn around last night, have a great win against Chicago. Um, these young kids on that team, Macklin Celabrini, Will Smith, Igor Turnasoff, Michael Misa, Sam Dickinson, Colin Graf, who was undrafted. These guys are just holy smokes, good. They're just fun to watch at this point. I'm like, Jesus, they scored a goal last night that was like Colin Graff, like with a backhanded pass between his legs. Will Smith buries it. Absolutely just unbelievable. Um, they're gonna be a lot of fun to watch. Uh, I hope they get in the playoffs. I really do. I think the world wants them to get into the playoffs. Um, the Sabres, Buffalo had a huge matchup last night against Tampa Bay and beat them or to two. What a huge win that was. It ties them up, too. What's that scene? It ties them up.

SPEAKER_00

So that means they're not fighting for that top position, right?

SPEAKER_01

It tied, they tied him up, but Tampa still has one game in hand. If Buffalo loses that game, they're now down four points with Tampa having one game in hand. That was a big win for the Sabres last night at home. That place, that building was rocking. Um, I saw just highlights and pictures. Um, Montreal finally lost. They've been on an absolute tear. Um, the pens, I really thought the pens might fall off. You know what? You got Crosby Malkin, you got those old guys that are still there. That's just experience. And they they they're winning games when they need to win games. That's why they're clutch. Um, you got Philadelphia that's also winning some games that are now third in the metro. Anything can happen at this point in the final full week of the NHL. Um, the Islanders fired their coach, Patrick Waugh, and immediately hired Peter De Boer. Clearly, that was going on. That was in the works for a while. So, so much going on. Steve, let's kick it off.

SPEAKER_00

What do you think, buddy? Yeah, you just mentioned that firing, and then it was it's I don't know that isn't that the second one this where a coach has been fired right before the playoff start? They did it to Vegas. Yeah, I mean that just it just seems so odd to me that a team would fire a coach that's obviously good enough to keep bring the take the team to the playoffs and then fire them right before the playoffs start. Well, yeah, Steve, no.

SPEAKER_01

The the Islanders, dude. I'm sorry, they are trash right now.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, but I'm I'm just I mean, the the kings aren't the knights aren't.

SPEAKER_01

No, no, they're not, and that's unrealized talent 100%. You're too good of a team there, right? And I get that one, but I'm saying this one with the Isles, it's yeah, dude.

SPEAKER_03

They yeah, the Islanders are three and seven in their last ten.

SPEAKER_01

That's yeah, Brennan. It here's the thing at what point they've been talking about possibly retooling or they need to they need to break that team down and rebuild. You got Matthew Schaefer, great player. I still like uh Sorokin, who's in net there. I I think you got some good pieces, but it's like you you just you gotta embrace a rebuild, I think. I I don't know. Maybe maybe Islander fans might disagree with me, but it's like what I've been watching is garbage.

SPEAKER_00

They had two shots on goal the other night, only one point away from making the last wild card wildcard spot, though.

SPEAKER_01

I I understand that, but that's because they even though they've gone three and seven bottom, dude. But yeah, no. They're if they make the playoffs, they're gonna be quickly dispatched. Um, Columbus. Six game slash man.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah, we don't come off.

SPEAKER_01

And here's the thing. This is just this, I want to point this out. This is important. They're still only two points out of a playoff spot, and they've lost six. They've completely given this away so far. Like you, oh my god, they should be they should be ahead of the pens, honestly.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, they could be.

SPEAKER_01

I mean if they win half of those games that's just brutal. If they go three and three, right? If they lose half of those games, they are sitting at 94 points and only two points behind the penguins. I for second in the metro, like this is oh, what an ugly collapse right now. And here's the thing, they can still make the playoffs, right? They've got five games left, and they can still do it. Ottawa's there because you've got the Isles that have again, they've lost four in a row. You've got Detroit's lost two, Columbus has lost six.

SPEAKER_00

It's just like they're all still in they can any of those three could still make the playoffs, depending on what Boston and Ottawa do.

SPEAKER_01

And I if I'm the flags in Tampa, Buffalo, and Carolina, I'm like licking my chops at possibly one of these teams, like the Islanders or Columbus getting in, because I'm like, yeah, I'm going in the second round. Nick, how do you feel about the Red Wigs?

SPEAKER_04

I don't know why you're laughing. Um we're uh I got to watch the I got to watch their last game. Um, I'm gonna tell you right now the fourth goal, which they to tie in the third period, right before they lost. Uh Patrick Kane's goal was one of the prettiest. It was like it was like a pond hockey goal. It was so pretty. It just passed, passed, and it was just it was textbook presence and awareness uh on the offensive zone. It was just it was beautiful. Um Tainer still got he's still so good, dude. He's you know what? We're right where we need to be. We're at what 88 points? 88 yet. Two points. Two points out, two points out of the room. Yeah, you're one point behind the aisles. Two points behind the senators, like senators are on a slide, the Bruins are on a slide, the islanders, like everybody ahead of us is also in a losing streak. We just have to make sure that ours is stops at two games and we'll find out. I think they're playing right now.

SPEAKER_01

Also, real quick, I just want to bring this up. Both Boston, hold on, yeah, both Boston, Boston has five points more than Philadelphia, who's currently higher in the playoff standings than them somehow. Ottawa's tied point-wise, but actually has a tiebreaker on Philadelphia and is technically higher ranked than Philadelphia. And both these teams are gonna play at a higher level in the playoffs in this stupid format that they have. Just wanted to bring that one up, retouch on the absurdity and the stupidity of this playoff format. Needs to go back to the old, the right way. It's not even the old way, it's the right way. This is the wrong way. Brandon, what do you think, buddy?

SPEAKER_03

Well, uh, first off, uh, since hiring their new coach, Vegas has now gone three and oh. Yeah, which included the thing.

SPEAKER_01

I was gonna bring that up when we hit the Western Conference. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, their last game was at Edmonton and they beat them 5-1. So they could end up back into that first place in the Pacific again.

SPEAKER_01

Sure.

SPEAKER_03

In the East right now. East. East is gosh, you know, I'd like to see Ottawa make it. I just I just don't know about them. They are really flip of a quarter or something, you know.

SPEAKER_01

I know they're they've been up and down. It's there's no consistency there right now. If you go into their games, it's like, yeah, win, loss, win, loss, loss, loss, then win four, loss, win two, loss. Like they had they were on such they they were a wagon there for a minute. I mean, they were just up until March 26th. Dude, they only lost three games in March, then went on to lose three in a row, and now they're kind of like win one, lose one, win one. They gotta, they've only got they're playing right now. It's zero zero. I've actually got the game.

SPEAKER_02

They're playing Toronto, though.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, not Toronto, they're playing um, they're playing a wagon. But here's the thing it's at home, and Tampa played a really tough game last night. I think Ottawa's gonna pull this one out. That's just how I feel watching it. I I really believe that they're gonna pull this game out. It's 0-0 right now. I mean, it's close. But Tampa played a really hard game last night in Buffalo. Really rooting for Tampa Bay today. Really? It's only a couple hours north of Buffalo. So what's that, Nick?

SPEAKER_04

Said I'm really rooting for Tampa Bay, though, today. Really would like to see the uh Senators not get another point.

SPEAKER_01

I understand that they're being outshot 16 to 8 right now, so it's possible, dude, that Tampa pulls this one out. Um, I don't know. But we can. We can look at if you if we go to the West, again, we've got Colorado looking to be the next victim of the president's trophy curse. Um, you've got Dallas. Dallas again, they're another one. They've been really in consistency as of late. Inconsistent, sorry. Um, Minnesota, they've won three in a row now, they're getting hot at the right time. Anaheim is falling apart.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, they are. What is what happened to them?

SPEAKER_01

I I don't know, but I'm here for it. I'm you know, nobody likes LA. Um, nope, that's true. Just kidding, sorry. Um, but seriously. Um but seriously, yeah. Edmonton, they've lost one in a row and they're sitting at 87 points. Dude, the Pacific is just hasn't been a strong, which strong division this year at all. I mean, it's it is what it is, but it you know, which is weird because it's usually the exact opposite. Um, Utah is coming on strong right now at the right time. Um, LA is now won two in a row, but I feel like they're kind of just unstable. I I don't know. That's just me personally. Then you've got Nashville, who's been good. I mean, they they own San Jose right now in this season. They beat him six to three now, two games in a row. Not back to back, but two meetings in a row. They beat San Jose six to three. So Nashville's, but again, they're up and down. And then you've got San Jose, who has a game in hand on everybody except for Utah. Um, let's see, you got Winnipeg's won two in a row. St. Louis has won two in a row, and then Seattle's, they're done. Um, let's see, you've got uh eliminated Vancouver's out, Chicago Calgary, they're done. Um, let's see. So Seattle's lost five in a row. They had a chance to be in the mix, they're just not. Um, they're not. And I'll take full credit. That was my guess. They're eight points out. That's four games, and they've got six to go. Um they could go six and oh, and even that might not get it done at this point. So we're saying they're out. Um, St. Louis, they've won two in a row, and they've they've got six games left. So they're sitting only five points back. So I feel like St. Louis is still in it, Winnipeg's still in it, San Jose and Nashville and LA. That's where the race is. I feel like Utah is kind of pulling away from that, but if Utah loses a couple, they're out as well. So, and then you've got Vegas is at 86, but they've won three in a row. Anaheim's at 87. Guys, they're not locked into playoff spots, any of those teams.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, neither is Edmonton. I mean, they're at 87 as well.

SPEAKER_01

They're not. You look, you've got San Jose, or let's go as far down as Winnipeg, is three games back of those of the top team. Okay, three games. So I it's still anybody's anybody, it's we could see a lot of movement. So I don't think we will see a ton, but I you could. The potential's there.

SPEAKER_00

And Utah has a has a tough schedule coming up, too. They have a lot of tough teams they're going against here. I mean, they're gonna be going against uh they have Nashville, they have Carolina. Yep.

SPEAKER_01

Um all they've all got tough, it's a tough road. And you're still in the NHL. That's what you have to remember, too. Like you have a team.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, anybody can win anytime.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, Chicago last night against San Jose. That wasn't an easy game. You know, San Jose dominated the majority of it, but it's like these aren't easy games. LA, same thing. And LA, I just feel like I feel like LA is gonna slide, but I don't know. They've won two in a row. We'll see. Brandon, what do you think about the Western Conference?

SPEAKER_03

Well, for a spout Utah say they went three and oh on the road. If you want to win the cup, you gotta be able to win on the road. Yeah, at this time of the season.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. I really I like Utah. I do. I think they can make a little run. You know.

SPEAKER_03

As for that last wild card spot, part of me is inclined to think that Winnipeg just might sneak in there and take it. Really?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you've got cards. Connor Hellenbuck, anything is possible.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. With the way they're playing, I think they just might get it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And here's what you have to remember too about Winnipeg. Dude, that's a They won the president's trophy just a year ago. I they've just they've had a tough season, but if that team gets hot, boys, Brandon's right. Yeah. If they get hot, dude, remember again who's in net. We've seen it in the playoffs time and time again. Um I'm gonna bring up 2012's Jonathan Quick, man. I he carried LA to the cop. That's how this shit happens, man. It's like if you get a goalie that gets hot, especially the best goalie in the world, arguably right now, Connor Hellenbach. Connor Hellenbuck's why the United States won the gold medal. I mean, that's just a fact. I so yeah, Brandon's right. It very well could easily be Winnipeg. I would not be shocked in any way, shape, or form. So, you know, anyway. Nick, what do you think?

SPEAKER_04

I it's there's so much action that still has to be resolved for me to be happy, sad about my Red Wings. I there's still so much in that there's so many teams still in that hunt. Yeah. This season for sure has really, for me, shown a spotlight on the way that they have done this playoff uh procession and these wild cards and uh these divisions and everything, and how there's oh, the format's stupid.

SPEAKER_01

We know that. That's just a fact.

SPEAKER_04

Everybody says it's player. This season for sure has signed shined a light on that. Like you have teams that are fighting for a wild card that are it's been stupid in another division would be first place. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I yeah, man. I'm sorry, but it's dude, this it's this format's stupid. You've got teams that are better than other teams that are seated lower, technically. It's the whole thing is dumb. It's yeah, stop this nonsense already. Like, enough is enough, dude. Can we just go back to the right way? 1-8, 2-7, 3-6, 4-5, and reseed every round. Enough of this bullshit. I just get my language, but this is bullshit.

SPEAKER_03

I just get tired of saying seeing the same teams play each other in the playoffs. I mean, how many times have we seen the penguins play the Capitals?

SPEAKER_01

It's it's dumb. It's yeah. Well, that I don't that uh sorry, but I that I don't care about. I I get why you do, but I I don't care about that. I care about what's right is right, and this is this playoff format. You've got teams with higher points that are lower seated.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, that's what are we doing?

SPEAKER_01

What are we doing? It's stupid. So anyway, sorry, I just again it's yeah, I'm tired of that. It's just it's absolutely just it's embarrassing, honestly. So what have? Yep. Um, what'd you say? Steve, what do you think about the Western Conference? Anything else you want to add with the Western Conference playoffs, or like who do you think is in? Who do you think is out? Any I'm done predicting. I I just think it's yeah, let's just jump on the street.

SPEAKER_00

I thought Nashville was gonna finish it out better than they have been. Um they're right there again. I know they still could. It's I thought they would have a stronger lead and they then, but they haven't been playing very well. Um, I mean, that's yeah, it's too hard, as Nick said, it's just too hard to to predict right now because there's just I mean, we got what six games left.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, some places, some teams are only some teams, it's five and six at this point. Like teams are are catching up a little bit, they don't have as many games in hand, but yeah, it's you're looking at five and six is where you're at. But we're talking about the this is the last full week of hockey.

SPEAKER_00

Our next meeting is gonna be interesting because then there's only gonna be like one or two games left.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, like I said, we might we might push filming back just a day or two, depending on where we're at with hockey and stuff. It's you know, to get them more accurate. But right now, that's just where we're at. It's it's exciting, man. I you've got five games left for most teams, and you've only got like the top couple of teams in each conference that have clinched, that have even clinched. Right. Like, like Edmonton is the top team in the Pacific. They haven't clinched because they can't. You've got Winnipeg sitting five spots below the wild card that are still in play for the top spot. It's wild, man. It's wild, or not Winnipeg, but other teams are. It's I'm just saying, it's it's wild.

SPEAKER_04

So I yeah. This is, I mean, but this is what you want. You want to have the entire like league wide, everyone's still in it, everyone's still fighting for the cup. Like, that just makes this entire sport all fans engaged at the end of the season. Like, that's what you want.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it's it's absolutely. I agree, it's fantastic. We're having fun, most players are healthy. Um, again, the coaches being fired and stuff is wild, man. I I do agree. And like Brandon said though, Vegas needed that jump. Listen, that could be what a team needs to get them going into the playoffs. Some fresh perspective, dude. It could end up being a genius move.

SPEAKER_00

You're not wrong. It's you never know with hockey.

SPEAKER_01

The islanders thing for me was like they have right. I yeah, I got you. Yeah, Steve, I agree. It's but the thing with the Islanders was, dude, I watched the game the other night. It was just they are just oh my god, they're trash. It's embarrassing. I I agreed, I heard the fans were booing. I'm like, yeah, yeah, y'all deserve it. Two shots on goal. They had two shots in a period. They didn't even have 10 after two periods.

SPEAKER_00

I'm like, what are we doing? How do they make it this far with how bad they're playing right now?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. I it's dude, it's I mean, it's sports, Steve. You played, it's you know, it's it goes, you go like that. It's either some days you're real hot, other days it's like, God, I can't get anything going.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah. I was looking at so it was against Carolina. I was just looking at that game. The whole game, they only had 16 shots on goal for the whole game.

SPEAKER_01

The whole game. Carolina had 40. That's not even the game I was talking about either. That's how bad they've been. That's how bad they've been. It's a joke. Stop. You deserve to be fired. Here's the thing, though, when you hire a coach of Peter De Boer's stature, dude, this is huge. Massive. What a signing.

SPEAKER_03

I completely forgot he was still available.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, he hasn't, yeah. So anyway, with that, folks, let us know what you think. Like, follow, subscribe, share. Let us know uh, you know, how we're doing. Maybe we're full of shit. I don't know. Let us know what you think. Even though we're not.

SPEAKER_03

I'm glad I went to the bathroom before we started.

SPEAKER_01

So, what's that? I said I'm not.

SPEAKER_03

I went to the bathroom before we started.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I gotcha. So, all right, here we go. Um, there's our next top five as we continue this series of top fives with the fans. Um, I didn't hear a lot of negative comments with our uh last week's uh worst fan bases. Really? Yeah, probably because it's just it there wasn't much argument there. I know Philadelphia fans, they're they're so dumb. They're like, Yeah, we don't care. We don't care.

SPEAKER_00

We're proud.

SPEAKER_01

We like to be a we're proud of it. Yeah, we're proud of it. We're we are um yeah, mentally uh reread. Okay, so in this week's installment, we are gonna go top five best fan bases. Okay, let's let's be clear here. Best fan bases. When we say best fan bases, we mean most loyal. These are teams statistically that have fans in the seats when this team goes 0 and 16. They're still there, they support their fans literally rain or shine, win or lose. Okay, I can't stand fair weather fans. I think they're the worst. I said it, I'm unapologetic about it, as you know already. If you've listened to this, I I don't care. I don't care what you think. I'm like a yeah, that's like Philadelphia fandom. Okay, it's you know, it is what it is. If if you show up for your team when they're at their very worst, you deserve to be a fan of a championship team eventually. You deserve it. If you don't, you're a joke. Take off. Florida Panthers, a couple years ago. They were having trouble getting 6,000 fans a night. I remember a picture of that stadium, it was empty, and I'm like, this is embarrassing. And now all of a sudden they're they're great. It's like, yeah, we love the Panthers.

SPEAKER_00

Can't yeah, mine were both mostly based off of loyalty.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's I did the same thing. Loyalty, um, uh less violence in the stands, things like that. Um, I know that every fan base has those idiots that want to fight, and it's like, okay, yeah, sure, whatever, buddy. Um, you know, that's just you know, bad human beings. So, with that said, let's get into it. Top five fan bases. Are you ready, everybody? Are you ready? I see your smile on your face.

SPEAKER_04

I know your crazy ass has something of this. He's gonna have one good one again.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I know. He's gonna pull something out of that neighborhood on his head. So I want to tape houses to your hairline so bad. I just I just do. You're gonna make a cul-de-sac? You probably hate me, Brandon, but I love you. I want you to know that. I really do, folks. We are also going to do a circumference, a head circumference measurement on Nick and Brandon. Mm-hmm. Let us know who you think has the biggest dome. Should do mine too. Uh, yours is just circular, it's just so round. It's pretty, though. You do a good job. You've done a good job growing your head.

SPEAKER_02

Thank you.

SPEAKER_01

Thank you. Brown, everybody has to have hats specially made because he's above an eight. All right, here we go. Top five. Brandon doesn't even Brandon the stuffed trainer doesn't even know what his hat size is. Me, I'm normal. I'm seven and a quarter. Anyway. I'm so abnormal in so many other ways, though. All right, here we go. We're rambling now. Let's get into it. Top five. Here we go. Steve Wood. What's your number five, buddy?

SPEAKER_00

All right, my number five. I went with the soccer and I went with Manchester United. As of crazy loyal fans, whether they're good, they're bad, where they travel to, they are some of the craziest low, craziest loyal fans I've ever met.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, they're lunatics, and get out of my head. I'll just say it now. Uh, mine was Manchester United, Manchester City, tied for five as far as soccer goes. That was my number five. I I'm right there with you. I it's they're yeah, it's insane over there.

SPEAKER_00

I don't even watch soccer that much. Neither do I. But every fan that I've met is if they've been a Manchester fan, they're just ridiculous.

SPEAKER_01

It's crazy. So, one of the greatest fan bases uh in in the world. So, all right. So I'm out. That was it. Nick Brown, what's your five, buddy?

SPEAKER_04

All right, well, prevent your guys' eyes from rolling, but my number five is gonna be the Red Wings. Um Hockey Town's not just a slogan, it's an identity. They had 25 straight playoff appearances, and then since then they still sell out that brand new arena. Uh, I've been around Wings fans. We're always polite, we travel well, and we're always there for the team. Like it's uh Wings made my list, number five. Fucking Homer.

SPEAKER_00

Um he's not wrong though when it comes to hockey when we determine the hockey team.

SPEAKER_01

Yep, I'm going to wrong with the game bases. So um, all right, Brandon the stuffed trainer. What's number five, Buckaroo?

SPEAKER_03

Number five for me, I'm going with the Utah Mammoth. Because as soon as they went there, pretty early, they were just embraced by they've been releasing really oil for one year. Hey, and they've been traveling like I watched their game in Vancouver. They had a lot of fans that traveled up there for that game.

SPEAKER_01

It's his list, Nick. Be nice. I got you, buddy. All right. Number five for Brandon is Utah. And here's the thing: I will give you this they came from one of the worst fan bases uh it of all time in Phoenix, Arizona. With I I I went to a game at Mullett Arena. This is a college arena, they had 3,800 fans there. What a joke! I'm so glad they got out of there. I'm so glad they're in Utah. I it fully support that.

SPEAKER_00

And so, yeah, that's that's that's not a hockey area, Phoenix.

SPEAKER_01

It's not uh anything area, anyway. Let's let's move on before I get crucified. You're gonna distract. It's your all right, Steve Wood, number four. You already heard my number five. I went with also Manchester United, Manchester City, as far as like their loyalty to that that those teams. So Steve, number four. This is another one of mine for going thick or thin, the New York Jets. So you're going, you guys are going teams. I'm going overall fan bases. Okay, so the I got both. I got both.

SPEAKER_00

All right, but I had to put just particularly the Jets in this because for how long they've gone without any substantial positive I get it winnings. Um, but the fans are always there at those games.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, Steve coming in at number four with the Jets. Nick Brown, number four.

SPEAKER_04

Number four. Uh, speaking about people that always show up, whether they're in suits or jerseys, I went with the Maple Leafs. They've sold out for decades.

SPEAKER_01

Uh, ladies and gentlemen, it is the first time in history that the Maple Leafs have made it on a good fan base top five. Congratulations, Leafs. It might be the only one in history you ever get.

SPEAKER_00

The one and only.

SPEAKER_01

All right, Nick, with the Maple Leafs at number four. Brandon the stuffed trainer. What do you got, Bubba?

SPEAKER_03

For number four, I got University of Oklahoma. Because hey, Oklahoma, they don't got anything else but that, so they're fiercely loyal to it.

SPEAKER_01

Ottawa just went up one to nothing. All right, so Nick, uh Brandon the stuffed trainer coming in at number four for him is the University of Oklahoma. For me, I am gonna go with the Green Bay Packers, Green Bay, Wisconsin. That's all they have there. Um, but it also is uh it's the Milwaukee, is what it is. So I am choosing Milwaukee as number four because it it you got the Bucks, the Brewers, and the Packers. I went to a Brewers game at that new stadium years ago. They were terrible. That place is full. They tailgate for every single game. It's one of the best tailgates, the best in baseball is Milwaukee, and it's just absolutely fantastic. Absolutely love going to games over there. Um but win or lose, they're always there. So my number four is essentially Milwaukee. Um, Steve, what is your number three?

SPEAKER_00

All right, my number three is because I they was actually included in my worst fans from last week. Okay, so unfortunately, they do have LeBron James, has some damn loyal fans. Wait, are you saying LeBron? LeBron on himself. Okay, and I know several of them. One of them is my nephew. Okay, he'll shank me if I talk shit about him.

SPEAKER_01

Gotcha. Okay, all right. Uh, Nick, number three.

SPEAKER_04

Number three, uh, going with the Steeler Nation. Okay, you see those terrible towels everywhere, home and away. Uh generational loyalty. I mean, the they pass their tickets down from grandkids.

SPEAKER_01

This is loyalty, is we're going loyals here for this one, definitely.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, because I think they're some of the worst fans. I I agree. I yeah, I individually like how like it's absolutely personality-wise, it's absolutely terrible. But loyalty, I can agree with you on that.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, I think I was misunderstanding. I was going with best overall fan bases here. That's what I did. I think everybody kind of did something different, which is fine, no big deal. So, okay, so Nick at number three has the Steelers. All right, uh, Brandon, the stuff trainer. What do you got?

SPEAKER_03

My number three is one I would really like to greatly experience personally.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Number one, really want to go see one of the games. You just mentioned them, the Milwaukee Brewers. Okay, very good.

SPEAKER_01

Milwaukee.

SPEAKER_03

Just seems like a ton of fun there from everything I've seen.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, great, great game game day experience in uh Milwaukee as a whole. Uh, the Bucks have been doing a Bucks game. It's like, yeah, it's it's always it's it's always a pretty good experience. So uh my number three is going to be New York. Uh, it's gonna be the fan base for the Jets, Mets, and Islanders. Um, it is split there, that is how they line up. Um, you know, the Brooklyn Nets are kind of just out on their own, but yeah, that's gonna be for that fan base. Um, number one, uh, loyalty is there. Absolutely, they're always there. Um, one of the least violent uh fan bases, uh, so that is gonna be my number three, is the uh blue-collar New York fans. So that'll be again the Jets, Mets, and uh and Islanders. Yep. So even when they were at the the old municipal stadium, that barn was full and very, very loud and uh very loyal. And I've never I honestly I've honestly seen very few fights except for uh the Jets, but that's just NFL. I kind of just all NFL fans are sometimes just ridiculous.

SPEAKER_00

So all right, Steve, number two. Okay, so now my number two is more of uh not necessarily loyalty, but just good fans all around. That's MMA fans.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, okay. Wow, different.

SPEAKER_00

Look at you pulling a little bit.

SPEAKER_01

That's how I thought this was gonna go.

SPEAKER_00

Even though it's one of the most violent sports, most people that you see that watch MMBay, that they're there's good sports, regardless of whether it's who wins or loses.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, all right, good deal.

SPEAKER_04

That's a great answer.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Um, okay, Nick, what is uh what's your number two, buddy?

SPEAKER_04

I don't know if you're gonna like it, but I went with the Boston Red Sox.

SPEAKER_01

Um at this point, I'm kind of just this is kind of off the rails from what I thought it was gonna be. So yeah.

SPEAKER_04

I just I just think that they whether it's you know generational trauma like the 86-year curse, or if it's triumph because they win in a miraculous down by three games and beat the Yankees, they're always there, they're always loud, and they're always supportive.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

All right. Um, very good. Um, Brandon, the stuff, the trainer. What do you got, buddy?

SPEAKER_03

My number two uh also already been said. Fiercely loyal team, very hard to get tickets to because of it, and Green Bay Packers.

SPEAKER_01

The Green Bay Packers. Okay, yeah. I I mean it's yeah, I think it's definitely one of those uh it is. It's they're always they're always gonna be there. I you know, NFL's as a whole, I think is is always, you know, for the most part, is pretty full when it comes to um different, you know, different groups and uh different stadiums. There always seems they always seem to be full. Sorry, is where I was gonna go with that. So um yeah, I think that's I think it's it's a great, it's a great choice. So um, okay. So my number two is going to be um Kansas City. I'm Kansas City has uh the Royals and the Chiefs. I did go kind of off here because there's only two teams. Um, but again, it it's I know Kansas City Chiefs fans are very, very obnoxious right now for a lot of people, but again, NFL period is like that. My fan base is like that. Um, I refuse to put my fan base in there. Um, I am kind of a Bay Area kid. Um, grew up with the uh you know 49ers, Giants, uh, Warriors and Sharks. So, but I'm not gonna put my own uh my own fan base in there for this one uh because it's hard to judge when you root for that team. So um, but I am gonna go here with uh Kansas City. I was also gonna go with St. Louis, um, that kind of situation, but uh there was too much uh too many too many reports of violence for me to uh to put a fan base in there like that. So um Kansas City again, they have the Royals, the Royals fans always show up um and show out for the Royals. So I went with Kansas City at number two. Um Steve, here we go, buddy. What is your number one?

SPEAKER_00

My number one is the Chicago Cubs.

SPEAKER_01

That's fair.

SPEAKER_00

Wow, just because they're such a storied team, and they just you know, I don't know. That's it was either them or Cleveland, but I think I went I would decide to go with Chicago, the Chicago Cubs on that, on my number one.

SPEAKER_01

I was also right there with uh with Cleveland as well, as far as uh loyalty and everything goes. Again, it came down to uh just uh too much, too many reports of violence and etc. So um, but yeah, Nick. Go ahead, buddy.

SPEAKER_04

I am not too proud to list one of my teams again in my top five, but I'm gonna go with the Cubs as well. Um, after 108 years of not having a World Series, we still sold out Wrigley almost every game. Um, always there. Go Cubs go.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, again for me, again with uh Chicago, it was uh the Chicago fan base for me as a whole, um, which is what I thought we were doing here was fan bases. I I didn't know we were going single teams. Um, again, it was just too much violence, too many reports of violence at games, after games, and things like that for the fan base. So um, but again, yeah, I understand. All right, Brandon, the stuff trainer. Has he got an oddball one this time, too? I don't know. Everything with you guys has been an oddball. I don't know. This one might seem normal now. Athlete, Steve. I it might be. Steve literally picked an athlete. All right, guys. Go go ahead, Brandon.

SPEAKER_03

I picked my number one because it's safe, it's a safe environment, it's a lot of fun environment, great place for the whole family. Why it's difficult to get tickets for. So my number one is uh Savannah Bananas.

SPEAKER_04

I knew it.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, all right, I knew it. Yeah, all right, yeah. Um, okay, so uh my number one is uh is Detroit. So I have been to uh every single arena and stadium. Um, I saw the San Francisco Giants clinch the 2012 World Series in person in Detroit as a Giants fan. Had no issues, um, had a lot of great conversations with their fans. Okay, second experience. Uh, twice now I've gone to see the sharks play the Red Wings. Um, this was a bitter rivalry when I went. They were uh in the same division. Our biggest issue was getting out of the arena because so many people wanted to talk to us and take pictures with us. And the sharks had just beat them. Um went and saw several Detroit Lion games, never saw a fight, um, never saw any issues. I know that people will say that oh, I've had a terrible this and terrible that. I I've had nothing but amazing times in Detroit. My sister and I have been there. I've been there with my wife Ashley. We have never had a bad time. That is one of the most welcoming, kindest fan bases I have ever been around. Ever. Um, they are absolutely my number one. Um I I just hope that when they go to see the Sharks or the 49ers or the Giants, that the fan base that I root for, I hope that they get the same kind of respect, love, and treatment that I've always been given in Detroit. I have always been first class. We walk around the city in our jerseys. We never get any grief, anything. Now, I've never had an issue in a stadium. I wear my team then jerseys, but I also think it's the energy that you bring. It's the energy that you bring with you into a visiting stadium. Because you can't do that in LA. Don't well, I yeah, LA is terrible. So that's why they were one of the worst fan bases. That's why Pittsburgh is one of the worst fan bases. It's it that's that's those are the reasons. It's like you are not uh treated with respect or kindness. I I've seen so many fans in the Steelers in Penns games that are just treated like absolute shit. Beers thrown at them at Steeler Games. I I've seen some of the most disgusting behavior at Steeler Games. I mean, that's I mean just despicable. Um, you don't get I'd never seen or dealt with that, but again, it is how you present yourself when you go into these stadiums, okay? Um, don't go in acting like an obnoxious asshole. I mean, that's just I think that that just is a given. But in Detroit, it's like they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. And we stood up and cheered when the sharks scored a goal. The Giants, we watched the Giants win the World Series, and people were kind to us. A couple guys actually shook our hands and said, Hey man, you guys were great. He's like, We thought we were gonna sweep you, and you swept us. That was our experience that night in Detroit at Carica Park. I was like, Wow, even my wife is like, What is going on? Like, they're really nice. So that is that was my criteria for this, and yeah, I just again, yep, Detroit. Uh I think, man, my sister, I was talking to my sister on the phone about it, and she was like, Yeah, I agree. She was like, It's the greatest experience I've had on the road. So the reason I did not put my teams in there is because when when you go to a game at your home stadium, it's like you're you of course you're gonna get treated well. So that's why I left them out.

SPEAKER_00

That's my explanation. Um, that's why I didn't put Carolina Hurricanes in there, even though every time it's been a great experience going to one of those games. 100%. I'm also a Carolina fan, so that's not like I'm there's any problems.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. No, for me to be a good fan base, it's like you've got to have this criteria. So um, again, it's like some of the stuff I've seen in certain stadiums is just and it's and it's repeated. Like I'm I'm using Pittsburgh again. I it's just I I have so many, I've just seen so much, and it's just always so disappointing. It's always so disappointing.

SPEAKER_04

No, I totally get that. I guess I just went a completely different way with this list, man. Um, I I went with how the team would view their fan base, not how other other fans view the fan base, you know, like loyalty and showing up and selling tickets and that kind of stuff.

SPEAKER_01

No, when it comes to the fan base, it's the fans, you know, it's how they behave and you know what they do, how they treat fans in their stadium, how they treat fans in their parking lot. It's you know, it's yeah, that's why Pittsburgh has always currently sits at the third worst fan base in all of sports. I and I'm sorry for that. I again I know a lot of good pirates and Steelers and Pence fans, but I am I'm sorry. It's just facts are facts. So yeah, no, I've just yeah, despicable.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I think it was a good uh yeah.

SPEAKER_01

What are we gonna do next week? Next week, I think what are we doing? I think Brandon, the stuff trainer had it. What were you going with, Brandon? What's next on the series?
