Join the guys as they discuss this week the results of the Masters Tournament, NBA Playoffs, NHL Playoffs, and the top 5 worst individual fan interactions of all time.

SPEAKER_03

Everybody, and welcome to Full Strength Podcast, episode number 14. We are back again for another fun-filled week. Um, in a fun-filled episode. We have got a lot to talk about. We've got the NHL bracket, we've got NHL playoff picks. Uh, the NBA playoffs have started. Um, we had the Masters. What a Masters! And a little bit of controversy when it comes to the Masters. I'll bring that one up. Um, we also had a UFC fight. We also have not much going on in the NFL, but we'll cover a little bit of that. And then we had the college national championship game. What a frozen four this year. Um, and then of course, we've got the uh the NHL, which we are going to really dive into. And then uh our top five this week, continuing with fan bases, we are gonna go with the top five worst fan interactions. After last week, I have no idea what these three are going to throw at us. So, with that said, Brandon, the stuff trainer, you're up first this week, buddy. How was your week?

SPEAKER_06

The week was pretty good. Just been doing a lot of work on the Harleak and ready for prime riding season.

SPEAKER_03

There you go. My head's dirty. I like it. Um, just a quick question. With your head, do you have to have a specially made helmet? Yes, I do. I love you, buddy. All right, Brandon. Steve, what's up, buddy? How was your week?

SPEAKER_02

Uh it's all right, it's been busy. I love the end of the hockey season coming to a close. It's been uh action-packed.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it's been uh it's been a fun last couple of days. It's been awesome, dude. I'm I'm pumped for the playoffs. Other than that, I got sick kids, which never is fun.

SPEAKER_02

No, the parents out there that know they're fun.

SPEAKER_03

Especially when your kids are in their late teens and early 20s. Um hopefully they feel better. Hopefully you don't get sick. Uh Nick, how was your week, man?

SPEAKER_00

Week was good. Uh spent the weekend at Great Wolf Lodge down in where is that? Is that Scottsdale? It'd be Scottsdale. In Scottsdale, Arizona, uh, with some great friends of ours, Carol and Daryl Davis, came into town uh with Daryl. Carol and Daryl. Carol and Deiro. I came into town with their daughter, who's like best friends with my kids. So we went down and had a blast all weekend. Um, shout out to those guys for making sure we had a great weekend. Uh, and just been catching up on sports, uh, working my ass off and ready to get into the NHL playoffs.

SPEAKER_03

I yeah, I think everybody's kind of pumped for it. I if you don't know, and if you're a new hockey fan and you are listening to our podcast, please stay tuned for the NHL portion of it. Um you're gonna love it. The Stanley Cup playoffs, it's the best playoffs in all of sports for a reason. So um enjoy it. And uh yeah, so let's get going. Let's dive right in, man. Um, we're not really gonna cover the NFL. There's not much going on in the NFL. It's just kind of we're getting close to playoff or uh the draft, which we'll uh we'll start diving into really next week. I mean, it's that's when the draft is. So um with that said, let's let's get right into golf and uh the masters. Um, I for one, I'm a huge golf enthusiast. Um, we haven't covered a lot of golf, but um I the every day after work I'm at least golfing nine. If I can get in 18 by myself, I'll do it. Um, but we had the masters, and it it's it's played at Augusta for those of you that don't know. Um, Rory McElroy does it again. His first two days were legit. And um listen, there was some great, great, great, uh, great performances early on. Uh Rose was awesome. Like, I was like, oh, he's five under. And I was like, he might make a run, but it was like, dude, you had it McElroy just he was 12 under after two. Um, Scotty Scheffler, as expected, made a run, but Rory held on and ends up winning it. He finished at uh 12 under par. And again, Scotty Scheffler finished at 11. It it scheffler was already in the clubhouse when McElroy finished, but uh what a what a great job. Um he had some other great, great performances. Again, Rose still finished 10 under. I really like him. I want him to get one eventually. There's some other guys, but uh, did anybody did you guys watch it at all, Brandon?

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, I caught uh some of it. You know, I watched the ceremonial tee off with Jack uh yeah, it was great to see.

SPEAKER_03

Did you watch the part three challenge? That's always one of my favorites. I love it because they skip it across. It's it's fantastic on on uh on the par three. It's great.

SPEAKER_06

But uh, you know, I wasn't surprised by the outcome. You know, he's an amazing golfer, but I thought I was kind of thinking Cameron Young might have pulled it off, but he had a bad day four.

SPEAKER_03

That was what it did. So it Cameron also was looking really good, and he finished plus one on day four, like you said. It listen, you make it to Sunday and you're you're in the final cut, like three or four groups, right? It I can't imagine the pressure. Like, I would like to think I'm a decent golfer, I'm like a six to eight handicap, and I like listen, it my biggest issue is consistency. These guys, every single shot, and then you you add in 300, however, many people show up at the masters, I don't know, 100 plus thousand. And you look at the gallery, it's it's insane, dude. Like it's it really is insane, and it's it's I just I that's what I love to watch is the fact that they're able to manipulate the ball, they're you know, and they just walk up and hit shots every single time. It's like they just can't miss. I mean, they do, but you know what I'm saying.

SPEAKER_00

They their their definition of a miss is different than ours. They miss, and they're like, I'm on the fringe, and I miss. I'm like, I don't know where my ball is.

SPEAKER_03

So uh the other day I was I was put we were doing nine after work and I hit a uh I hit a uh a three wood after a not not a great drive, but anyways, I hit a three wood from like 240 out, and I ended up on the fringe of the green, and I was like mad about it. My buddies just looked at me and he was like it's like F you. And I'm like, sorry, I'm it's a good shot. I know I should be happy with it. I watched too much PGA golf. Um, Steve, did you get a chance to catch any of the masters? It was great.

SPEAKER_02

I watched a little bit here and there. Did you? Yeah, just kind of went on in the back cooling. Um, but I did watch, tried to watch some of it anyway. Um, some people better with like finger painting, man. I I I understand. I yes, exactly. Exactly. That is more entertaining, actually. Such a dick. I love it.

SPEAKER_03

I'm sorry, dude.

SPEAKER_06

Hey, I'm not endorsing this, but man, if your state allows it, nothing wrong with a little edible medication and some golf. It's a nice relaxing.

SPEAKER_03

I will never eat a candy bar from you again. We can bring that up if you want, but never ever again. Well, I a Clark bar. Yeah, it's a Clark bar.

SPEAKER_04

Dick.

SPEAKER_03

There's a story behind that, folks. Anyway, um, Nick, I I'm gonna I'm gonna say this one for you. So I was gonna bring this up, but anyway, there is a small, not conspiracy, but there's some people that are kind of like upset because Rory McElroy took three straight tournaments off and played at Augusta every day for a month. Going up to the Masters. Some people are like, is that he why you know he won the Masters? He's allowed to play that course.

SPEAKER_00

Because he's working harder and not taking purses at other events to just practice. Yep. This sounds like a guy who's dedicated to his craft.

SPEAKER_03

I like I I love I love that he did it and he he won, but you look at it, he still he won by a stroke. So everybody that has a problem with this, calm down, like settle down. Absolutely agree. I mean, he's Rory McElroy is better than you at golf.

SPEAKER_00

So me for sure, and everybody else. And just to clarify, the last time I golfed, I'm about a double par golfer. A double par. Yeah, I'm about 140 for 18. Um, but I I was able to push some of the masters, and it was awesome. Um, yeah, he joins some pretty elite on a pretty elite crowd, uh, Nicholas, Tiger Woods, and Faldo. Yeah, now Rory never go back to bat masters. Yeah, that's huge.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, I would practice that much too if I had the opportunity to get in a league like that.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, I agree. I mean, he people either have it or you don't.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, it's like it's such a hard sport. Like, I remember when I really like I still I still take lessons, and people ask me why. And I'm like, I compete with myself. I don't know, I'm not trying to be in the PGA or anything like that. Like, people don't understand why I golf as much as I do, and it's like I love it, first of all. I can compete with myself, which I absolutely also love, and I just like getting better at stuff. That's all it is. Like, I have I've done um I worked on my grip stance, ball placement, um, club speed, um, head speed, everything. And so it's like I just love working on all of it, and it's like you get better at one thing, it was like I got better at my foot placement, then I worked on my grip, and then I worked on like my arms, keeping my elbow in, um, working on playing of the swing. It's like there's so much that you can get into when it comes to the golf swing, it is insanely difficult. And it's like I, you know, it's like hockey when you have so many different disciplines that you're doing at the same time. And it's like, I mean, I watch hockey all the time. I do this with you guys, I'm sure, where I'm like, Jesus, that looks so easy. But I'm like, you guys have no idea how difficult of a move that is. And it's unless you play, it's like you don't really completely understand. So, anyway, what a great masters. Uh, the event looked amazing, the weather was amazing. I thought it was A plus. I'm pumped for Rory. Go ahead, Nick.

SPEAKER_00

I was gonna ask, um, so everybody did everybody see the hole in one? Uh Sam Burns. Yes, put a hole in one. Yeah, uh, that's Augusta's 16th hole now has 24 aces in tournament history, making it the most famous. That's that's crazy, right? Like, that's cool. Right.

SPEAKER_03

I just think it's I think it's great. I think it's awesome. No complaints.

SPEAKER_00

There's a whole bunch of people that are uh busting CBS's hump. Did you guys know that they actually missed the winning putt live?

SPEAKER_03

I didn't know that.

SPEAKER_00

I mean CBS missed the winning putt on live TV. They hit the only showing uh replays, and so all the fans are roasting them online and stuff just making fun. Did one job, good one job.

SPEAKER_03

That's great.

SPEAKER_01

True.

SPEAKER_03

Um, anyway, golf. We're gonna cover golf the tournaments more often now. We'll cover PGA, live, all of it. Um, but with that said, we are gonna move on. So NBA playoffs have begun. They but it's the play-ins, right? So um the Trailblazers, uh, the seventh seed beat the eighth seed Suns, and then the 10th seed Hornets beat the ninth seed uh Heat yesterday, and currently right now we got the 76ers and the Magic. They are 76ers are up by one with 41 seconds in the half, and you got the Warriors and the Clippers going tonight, and then that completes the bracket, and they'll go into the first round um on Friday. Or no, the tournament continues with the play-in tournament. Sorry. Um, the actual playoffs don't begin until Saturday, just like the NHL. Um any thoughts on the NBA? I think it'll be all right. I I just here's my thing with the NBA. It's like it's hard to predict because it's just whoever's shooting three is the best that night. You know what I mean? It's like you got some good teams like Detroit and nowadays that's exactly what it is. Yeah, but I've seen like I've seen uh I've watched Detroit get beat by Washington. It was the worst team in the league. So I'm like, I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

Well, like right now, the the Warriors have the worst record. Yeah, in the playoffs. But yet they could still go make it all the way, they could probably make it closer to the end.

SPEAKER_03

They absolutely could with with the shooting. It's just not I feel like it's just not the same league that it once was, but it we'll still watch and uh we'll see how it goes.

SPEAKER_06

I saw a play that basically defined the league right now. Okay, I don't remember who it was, but he stole the ball. He's all by himself, running down to the hoop. Gonna go go and look like he was gonna lay it up. Okay, then instead he went from right underneath the hoop, ran out to the side outside of the three-point line, and then shot it from there.

SPEAKER_03

Instead of just going in for a layup, I'm gonna go back to the way.

SPEAKER_02

Like they used to. Exactly.

SPEAKER_03

See, so dumb. Yeah, I I don't know. We'll pay attention, we'll watch it, we'll report on it. It's great, but you know, best of luck, gentlemen. Hope everybody stays healthy and have fun. Cool. Um yeah, with that said, Nick, how was the UFC? I didn't I honestly I I sadly missed the fight because of some extenuating circumstances, but uh, how was the how was the fight? I know you, Steve, I think everybody watched it except for me, maybe.

SPEAKER_00

Um, I only got to watch I only chose to watch the the main card, which was for the light heavyweight title.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Between uh Olberg and I can't say his name ever. Um, but anyway, uh the other guy that I can't say. Yeah, Posta. Um it's okay. We got it. We know who it is, yeah. Right. He came out super aggressive. Um, and you yeah, you watched him kicking uh Olberg's legs. Yeah, I now think that they they tore his ACL with a leg kick. Um, but anyway, he at the turning point was when he was pressing he and he looked hurt. He the Pro Classica uh hesitated. Later he said it was an ignorant act of mercy, um, and then got nailed with a perfect left hook and dropped and cold. Uh and they called it real quick.

SPEAKER_01

Wow.

SPEAKER_00

Right in the first round.

SPEAKER_01

That's incredible.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, that was pretty much the fight that I watched as well.

SPEAKER_03

So yeah, just quick. Great, good main event. Got the belt. I mean, it was a championship fight, so yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Wow.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_06

Wow.

SPEAKER_03

Wow. Well, hopefully it's alright. These guys are so tough. They fight through so much. The injuries are crazy. Oh god, dude. And they fight through them, man. Like they're just it's it's it's nuts. You ever watch that the when somebody's taking those those leg kicks, and it's just like, God, their knees and below just taking an absolute beating. Sure, they can't even walk the next day. So, anyway, great fight, guys. Hope everybody heals up and we get to see you again in the ring. So great job, and congrats on the win. So that's awesome. Um, with that, we've also had some action in the in baseball. Uh, baseball's, I mean, you got some teams that are looking good. I think the pirates right now in the central look pretty good at times. But as far as like any teams that are like dominating, I I'm not seeing it yet. You know, it's so early in the base in the season. It's like guys are still getting stretched out. They're still, you know, it's like uh right now in the AL East, it's like you've got Tampa Bay leading. Um, I've watched some Yankee games and I'm like, man, they sometimes look brutal. I watched a game with them against the Miami Marlins where it was like they won, but they won because the Marlins walked 11 batters, including walked in a couple of runs, a couple of errors. The Yankees had like five runs on three hits, so it's like, yeah, it's kind of just that's early season baseball right there. It says it all. Um, you got the twins leading the uh AL Central at 11-8, and the A's are leading the uh AL West at 9-8. I I the A's are young, they are signing players for their move to Vegas. I can't wait for that to happen. Looks like that's gonna be an absolutely beautiful stadium. Um, I had a chance to go sack and watch a game in that in the in Sutter Health Park. Great, great atmosphere, a lot of fun there. Um, and then you got the National League, the Braves. Uh Pirate, uh the Pirates and Reds are tied in the central at 10 and 7, and then you've got the Dodgers who are really they're dominating. They're 13-4. Um, nobody cares. Uh they buy their teams. Sorry, beat LA. Um, and then the Giants and Rockies are in the cellar at 6 and 11. Uh, D Backs look all right. I watched a couple of D-Backs uh games for a few innings. They look, you know, like they got some young talent as well. And the Padres are still a good team. Padres will still be good. So um I still think the Cubs are gonna, the Cubs and the Brewers, I believe, in the long run are gonna be first and second in that division. But we'll see. Who knows? We'd still see the Pirates. Pirates have a couple of great young players, they got a decent rotation. I mean, you got Paul Skeens, he's he's legit. So, but you can tell he's he's struggled at times. So it's like, I don't know. What do you think, Nick? So early. Um it's just too early. Baseball's still early.

SPEAKER_00

It's almost too early to talk baseball unless it's like drama.

SPEAKER_03

You know, like did you know that each guys are still getting a new huh? Guys are still getting stretched out. You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_00

It's like they're still organizing pitching rotations. I mean, they have it, but like it's they're still making tons of changes. Exactly. Did you guys see that Ichi Roe in Seattle got a new uh a new statue? And during the unveiling, the bat snapped off when they were pulling the tarp off.

SPEAKER_05

No, I didn't see that.

SPEAKER_00

Oh ouch. Everybody else.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my gosh, that's whoever pulled that tarp off. Can you imagine their face when that happened?

SPEAKER_03

They're like, I swear to god, all I did was pull it off. I didn't mean to. He told me to pull it off. I swear I didn't mean to. I can't pull over anymore. You can't pull over any further. That's yeah, you knew where I was going with that. That's awesome. Um, anyway, that's baseball. So, but uh what we're gonna get into right now is we are going to dive headfirst into uh some college hockey. Um, what we knew all four teams that that made it to the frozen four were all legit programs, they were all storied programs, they're all great teams with so much talent. Some a lot of guys have already been drafted in the NHL. It's like you got guys that are gonna get drafted in the NHL, and even the whole tournament. If you go into like the eight, the the elite eight, it's like, dude, the whole thing was awesome. But let's get into the the frozen four. Um completely the opposite winners of who I thought it was gonna be. We I yeah, I mean, I had I thought du was gonna do what du did, but it it was like uh I both the teams that I thought were gonna make it to the championship both lost. So UND and Wisconsin was an incredible game, right? And then you had Michigan and Du go to double overtime, and Michigan in the first overtime hits the post. I think I thought they hit it twice, but I think it was once. But anyway, it just overall, what a game between two elite programs, future NHLers. Um, so much fun to watch. Um, it was a long night, it felt like an NHL level playoff game. It really did. And it was absolutely I thought it was incredible. Um, Wisconsin and UND just again, what a game. What a game. And uh anybody could have won either game, guys, honestly. Um brand.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, they were very close games. I mean, they were yeah, go ahead, Steve. Start us off. What did you think, man? Oh man, they were I mean, every single game came down to you never knew who at the very end was gonna take either tie it up or take the win. Um, it was just a fantastic fantastic watching them play. I mean, you can just tell that I mean these guys are ready for a lot of the guys, at least I should say, are ready for the NHL.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, they're I mean, they're all prospects, they're gonna play either in the minors or they're gonna and guys, the great thing about hockey is like guys get signed to their as soon. Well, once they sign their entry level contract officially, they can't go back. But it's like they're allowed to get drafted and stay in college if they want. You know what I mean? So that's cool. They can continue to develop because like D one hockey now. Is a freaking men's league, man. Like it's it's grown men. It's not like juniors.

SPEAKER_02

Juniors Well, this is only the second time I've actually watched the championships. Really? Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

No, you're you're you're still somewhat a little green to hockey, but you've been watching now for a few years, and it's like it is, Steve. It's amazing. It's such deep like division one level hockey, especially at the uh you got the ACHA and the WCHA are just such great leagues. Well, I'm new to college hockey.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, no, no, no. I've been watching NHL for a decade and a half now, but I guess it has been that long.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you're welcome, by the way. Thank you. Yeah, if it wasn't for you, I tell you, I wouldn't be watching it. I know, but it's like you're you're good now.

SPEAKER_03

I told you you'd like it. Brandon, the stuff, trainer. What'd you think, buddy?

SPEAKER_06

You know, it was great hockey. Not surprised by that. You know, I picked Denver to win it all. But uh you did. I I was with you. But um going with Denver their goalie uh hits, he set a new record for best save percentage in the season at 957 overall, right?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, 957, guys. That's insane.

SPEAKER_06

It's 22 goals on 514 shots.

SPEAKER_03

Uh, can you say first at very worst, second round draft? Or has he already been drafted, Brandon?

SPEAKER_06

No, he hasn't yet.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, dude, dude's getting I I it's like the Sharks took uh the young kid Ravensburger last year with the 30th pick in the first round, and I could see this kid from DU. If he if he goes into the draft, he's gonna get drafted. He's he's oh yeah, first round caliber is in my opinion. So yeah, that's that's a great thanks for dropping that. That was a great stat. Um, Nick, what'd you think, buddy?

SPEAKER_00

Could I could right now hang up this podcast and watch that Denver, Michigan game all over again? Yeah, dude. Um I will say though that uh when you're starting to crunch the numbers and try to like get more information to talk about with the podcast, if you look at the shots for Michigan with 52 shots for, and Denver only had 26 shots in that entire game. Uh Hicks posted up 49 more.

SPEAKER_03

That's kind of DU's MO, though. They don't, it's not about uh for them, it's not about uh volume. They're more like they take a lot of quality shots, they're very patient. They remind me of the Florida Panthers. Like if you watch the Florida Panthers and their you know, three Stanley Cup runs the last three seasons, they do they just they play a very, very sound defensive game. They get in shooting lanes, they block shots, they don't allow a lot of space. They play man very, very well. And it's like they don't, they just don't let you breathe. And then when they go offensive, they just take smart shots. They don't need to powder, you know, pepper the goalie all night long. That's their game. It's very much like the Florida Florida Panthers. That's why the Florida Panthers have been so successful is because they play such a very patient, sound defensive game. And Nick, that's a great thing to bring up because that's absolutely true. They just they're good, they're good hanging back, playing defensive hockey, and not just looking for shots volume-wise, but quality.

SPEAKER_00

No, I get you quality over quantity for sure.

SPEAKER_03

It's a great it's a great point. It's a great point. Great stat. And then uh, yeah, the Wisconsin UND again. It was uh two to one. I mean, it just they just man, both both great, great programs, storied programs. Congratulations to everybody who got to the frozen floor, and of course, congratulations to TU winning your 12th in national championship. I I just think they're I DU is just third and five years, all under the same head coach, dude.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah. Now that you bring that up, Nick, I was just looking at that last game, the Denver, the last one, they only had 15 shots on goal in in the title game, and they they they won 2-1.

SPEAKER_00

So I mean that's um they only had 19 shots, or no, it was 19 shots to five through two periods. Shot shots. And that's wild.

SPEAKER_03

Five shots on goal in two through two periods for Denver. Again, they just don't, they're not worried about volume because everybody said, like, I I played on a team, and it was like it the our coach was just get pucks to the net, get pucks to the net, get pucks to the net, right? They just want you to get pucks to the net. And and that's a lot of teams mo. That's like I I guarantee anybody that's played uh hockey at an elite level knows most coaches are like get pucks to the net, get pucks to the net. But then it's like if you have the right team, you can do the the Florida Panthers or like DU thing, where it's like, hey, just play sound defensive hockey, smart shots, intelligent shots, quality shots. You don't have to go with volume, you know. I understand the whole idea with getting pucks to the net with with volume shots. For sure, gonna go yeah, trash goals exactly.

SPEAKER_02

Yep, they were 10-3-2, or it's 10-3 and 10 per period. So I'm sorry, two, three and ten. Jesus Christ. Two, three and ten.

SPEAKER_00

But like, regardless if you're a patient, like winning hockey team, which Denver obviously is, taking nothing away from those men that won the championship. No, but five shots on goal through you know, through two-thirds of the game, like that's that's crazy, right? Like it does one, right?

SPEAKER_03

But I mean, like that's but if you were to look at the stat line, Nick. If you were to look at that stat line and be like, okay, who won this game? You're not gonna say do.

SPEAKER_02

You're not gonna say do you? Not without, yeah. If you didn't have the score there, you looking at the stats, you would have think Wisconsin won that game. Right, right, right, right, right.

SPEAKER_03

Now, Brandon, you played you played goaltender and you played tra a little bit of travel hockey. Like, let me ask you a question. What is a as a goaltender, what do you think? Do you like it? Is it is it more frustrating on a team that doesn't shoot the puck at you a lot, or is it easier with with a high volume, just in your opinion?

SPEAKER_06

To me, I prefer a high volume because it just keeps me moving, keeps my legs warm. You know, it doesn't matter.

SPEAKER_03

That's what I thought you were gonna say. So it's like it it keeps you in the flow, you get game flow and stuff, and that makes that makes total sense. So I yeah, okay. It'd be interesting. We'll have to clip this and like send it to TikTok for uh for comments. We'll have to see what they what other maybe goaltenders think. So it's a really interesting comment. But that's kind of what I would figure, Brandon. But I, you know, again, I didn't play goalie, so but uh you're not crazy enough for it. No. Goalies like shout outs. Shout out to Moss and Coretti, one of my favorite guys. I didn't play on the same team as him and wasn't like a junior hockey goalie, but I had a couple, but Moss and Coretti was this goalie. Man, what a weirdo. Every goalies are just different, man. Hey, we got a penalty shot right now, San Jose and uh Chicago. Who's taking it? Ask Askarov with the save. Anyway, uh, yeah, great, great frozen four this year. Uh, you know, I feel like college hockey just keeps getting better and better. It's like it's it's great. I'm glad that you know, people, kids from uh Canadian juniors get to come up now and play at the Division I level. It only strengthens. You have the best talent in North America coming. You know, you got kids from overseas now coming to college. I think it's great. I think it's great for the game. So um, but yeah. Any last thoughts on uh the national championship? Brandon, the stuffed trainer. What do you got?

SPEAKER_06

No, I'm just you know, you know, in the Denver one, you know, they all put up an amazing effort.

SPEAKER_03

It was yeah to watch.

SPEAKER_06

I agree.

SPEAKER_03

Yep, yep, just a lot of fun. Awesome.

SPEAKER_06

Anybody could have won it.

SPEAKER_03

Anybody, and that's the thing, honestly. You're absolutely right. Anybody could have taken that, it was absolutely great. So, Stellar, thank you to the teams um for great games. Couldn't have asked for better three games than the frozen four. So, Steve, any last thoughts on that?

SPEAKER_02

No, that's just exactly it. I mean, it was just uh the great games to watch, it was close, it was always down to the end. Um, anybody could have taken it at the end of the at by the end of the uh game.

SPEAKER_03

The overtime was fantastic. Double OT. It's like, yeah. So love to see right on Nick, anything else?

SPEAKER_00

No, I just this was my first, I'll be honest, this was my first college uh championships. Like I knew they happened, but I never watched them. Um yeah, I this was this rivals Olympic level hockey, like as far as the passion and uh like the fun and the energy. I loved it. I I will be watching college hockey. Now I'm a college hockey viewer now, I guess. So yeah, yeah. So thanks for that.

SPEAKER_03

That's that's a that's a decent and that's a great example. I mean, yeah, it can you can consider it's like because you you have school pride, and it's like, dude, if you go to a college hockey game, it's like Euro hockey. It's like you watch Euro hockey, dude. It's it's insane. The crowd does not stop. It's like sock, you know, soccer's that way, and yeah, it's like they they don't stop, and the kids, the student section at a college hockey game is just hype. It's legit, it's awesome. So, um, anyway, with that, we will move on to the meat and potatoes of this podcast and this episode, and that is NHL playoffs are set, guys. The bracket is set. Um, again, the season ends tomorrow. And yep, brackets are set, the teams are set, the matchups are set, nobody can flip-flop. This is it. Um, I'm gonna run it down real quick. All right, so first round, you've got Carolina facing off against Ottawa. Um, I this next matchup I am absolutely psyched for. I will be going to a game. More than likely, game five. Um, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. Uh does anybody remember years ago, not too long ago, there was a this series was ridiculous. There was a couple of games where it was like at the end of the game, you only had like six players left on the bench because everybody had been thrown out. And then you had a game.

SPEAKER_00

It's gonna be physical.

SPEAKER_03

It was 10 to 8. It was like it's interstate rivalry, Western Pennsylvania versus Eastern Pennsylvania. And yeah, I I'm so I'm really pumped for this series. This is gonna be a good one. Um, Tampa Bay and Montreal also listen, I watched this game the other night, and they were just fighting for playoff position. These two teams, they're they don't like each other. It's gonna be that's gonna be a hype series. It's gonna be great. Um Buffalo, Boston. I think Buffalo's gonna, I think Buffalo's gonna run them. I Boston's got a decent team. They're young. I still think Buffalo's gonna run them six games at the most. Uh, we'll get into picks later. Um, and then Colorado, LA. Um listen, don't count out. LA, we've seen it before. This is a completely different team. Anze Kopotar's last playoff. Um, we'll get into Anze Copotar and him leaving and retiring. Uh we got Dallas and Minnesota. Um, you've got Edmonton and Anaheim, and you've got Vegas and Utah. So those are the series. They are set. It uh starts Saturday. We don't have a schedule, I don't think, yet, for let me check here real quick. I yeah, we don't have a schedule yet, uh, but it does start Saturday. So um, you know, we'll go from there. But uh, what do you guys think? Any thoughts? Um, do we have any series that particularly interests you? Uh, Brandon, go ahead on Vegas and Utah. We know that's what you want to talk about. Don't make me why we know that's what you want to talk about, but I will say this real quick. Um, some of the teams, let's real quick, let's talk about some of the teams that didn't quite make it. Um, the biggest mover in the standings, uh, it you gotta say San Jose and the kids in San Jose. Um, kids under the age of 22, um, Will Smith, Macklin Celebrini, Igor Chernesaw, Sam Dickinson, um, Colin Graf, uh, Michael Missa. Uh, you've got three kids that are 19. Sam Dickinson, Celebrini, uh, Misa's 18. So you got a lot of young movers. I think Coach uh Warfoski deserves uh coach of the year looks. He won't get it, but he deserves look as well as uh Mike Greer, I think, is gonna be the GM of the decade when it comes up. But um Brandon, anything for the teams that didn't quite make it? Do you have anything that you were impressed with this season for the teams that didn't quite get into the playoffs? No, or disappointments. You can bring up biggest disappointment like the New York Rangers and Toronto, uh and Toronto Maple Leafs. I don't want to say the Florida Panthers because they got hit with so many injuries. Go ahead.

SPEAKER_06

Well, we've got to bring up Detroit 10 years in a row of not making the playoffs. Oh that's rough for that franchise.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_06

And then also, you know, we had uh last year's uh president's trophy winner, Winnipeg, not making it.

SPEAKER_03

I I'm glad you brought up Winnipeg. I think that might be the biggest surprise as far as like fails.

SPEAKER_02

That's crazy. I was like, I'm saying capitals. They just I mean they just had a horrible fair enough. Fair enough. I don't know where went wrong with them, but they I mean they looked so good throughout the season, but I mean at the end, they just didn't make it in.

SPEAKER_03

I think they're just old, Steve. Honestly, maybe they didn't have the legs. I don't know. Could be honestly, it's just they're yeah, they're they're getting old, and it could be Ovechkin's last uh last season, so we don't know yet. But anyway, so Brandy, you're going with Winnipeg. Steve, who was it for you? Biggest disappointment, biggest surprise, biggest Capitals, Washington Capitals not making in the playoffs. Okay, all right, Nick, what do you got, buddy?

SPEAKER_00

With Buffalo clinching a playoff spot, the longest active drought belongs to the Red Wings.

SPEAKER_03

Um well, it listen, you got to give Buffalo credit. Like I've said for the last three years that they were a playoff team, but they're a playoff team on paper. They have been. I'm not shocked by this. I I didn't think they would quite get this high, but it's not really that surprising. They've been a playoff team on paper, they just haven't realized it. They've, if anything, they've been the biggest disappointment by not getting into the playoffs the last several years, in my opinion. So this was like, yeah, they this is where they they should have been like an eight or a wild card or whatever you want to call it, with Bettman. No, they look great this former all year long. They've looked right great. Um, this the difference this year is they didn't have that collapse like they have the last couple of years.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. That's gonna happen in the first round.

SPEAKER_00

I do have a question for the panel. Now that the Colorado Avalanche have clinched the president's trophy officially, yeah. Who's who's gonna get hurt in the playoffs?

SPEAKER_03

Hurt. It's never everybody gets hurt in the playoffs.

SPEAKER_00

Nobody you're I thought the I thought the president's trophy curse was was injury-based.

SPEAKER_03

No, no, it has nothing to do with injuries.

SPEAKER_02

It's just not making it to the going out, yeah. Winning the cup. Yeah, that's all. I think the last 10 years they the one who the team that won the president's trophy hasn't made it to the or hasn't won the cup.

SPEAKER_03

Uh I believe it's only nine, eight or nine in history have won the cup. Since its inception in uh God, I gotta look this up every year, but we'll we'll look it up later. But yeah, it's it's it's crazy how many teams don't it's crazy how many teams don't make it out of the second round. It's funny. So I know San Jose's won the president's trophy twice, and they that those years, I think they they both years they lost in the second. Um Detroit um has blown it a couple of times as president's trophy winners. Um it's just it's a crazy, it's a weird thing. Colorado, hold on. Colorado just did this a couple years ago when they got swept by Seattle. Yeah. That was the year after they won the Cup. Seattle, they didn't win a game. I remember that series was like, what the F just happened? It was like, what? So yeah, there's definitely that that's gonna come up. Um I whether or not I dude, I'm sorry. I just do not I don't know. I if if a team can do it, it's probably LA. But I I just don't see it. They they've Colorado's just they've had their downs now. It was like they start off the season so hot you were like, oh fuck, are they gonna are they are they gonna have a slump or are they gonna go into the playoffs and get beat in five? But it's like they've had those ups and downs, so it's like I still think I don't know, I don't think they're gonna lose. But anyway, whether or not they make it to the cup, it's like that's that goes, I you know, I think we're just gonna, and we're not, I'm just gonna, as far as our predictions go, guys, we're gonna do you know, round by round, and you know, when the second round comes up, we'll do predictions again. But you know, it'll be a forever-evolving pick scenario for us here, but I I don't know. Um, again, I yeah, the the Sabres, obviously the biggest jump. I mean, they are the number one uh seed in the Atlantic and their number two seed overall, almost got the number one seed in the league. Um, great. I really like Buffalo. I really do. I think that's gonna be a deep run. So I we'll get into that later. But um and I I just there's Boston's been so up and down all year. I know they ended up with 100 points, but I I don't see them doing much. So um anyway. Yeah, those are all great, great storylines. It's um it's it's gonna be fun. So I like listen, let's get into this right now. Um, with that said, let's get into our playoff, first round playoff picks. Um, let's just go get we'll go series by series, give an explanation, let's hear it. Um and yeah, we'll we'll track it, you know. So um, first series is gonna be Carolina versus the Ottawa Senators. Okay. Here's the thing: I I love Ottawa, and I think if anybody can beat a number one or a number two, I I dude, I I love Ottawa. I think they're gonna push Carolina as far as they can. I just don't see the series going further than six. I've got Carolina and six against a very, very tough Ottawa team. Brandon, the stuffed trainer. Who do you got? Carolina, Ottawa, and why?

SPEAKER_06

I want to take Ottawa because they're such they've been such a great team.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, dude, I'm so the same, dude. I love Brady Kachuk and Dylan Cousins. I I love this team, I really do.

SPEAKER_06

But I can't pick against Carolina, they're just too good. I'm going with it in seven, though.

SPEAKER_03

I and here's the thing with me saying six, I absolutely could go seven. It's just I just feel six. I don't know why, but easily it could go seven. Yep. Um, Steve Wood.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I mean, I'm a Carolina fan, so trying to take the emotion out of it. Ottawa's a great defensive team. They are. If if anybody is going to because you know, Carolina is a really good, they have a lot of depth this this year versus last year. So they don't have that. That last year they had the problem where if their starting lineup wasn't there, there was a good chance that they weren't gonna score. Right. So um, but this year they don't have that problem. I'm gonna say Carolina and six, but Carolina and six as well. But Ottawa, I mean, if anybody's gonna give them that could upset them. I don't think they're I I'm not picking them for my upset, but uh if they could they very well could.

SPEAKER_03

I I just I really I just god just like Carolina too much. So I think they're gonna make a deep playoff run.

SPEAKER_02

And they're really good at home too, and they have now they have home home field advantage. Home ice, it's not a few or home ice, sorry.

SPEAKER_03

I love when you do that. I know you do. Nick. Nick with the toque.

SPEAKER_00

What do you got, buddy? So upset, man. I'm going to say senators in six. There's no way that Brady comes off the year he's had with the NHL and the Olympics and everything. I think he's got it in six, his physical style of play. I got him in six. Wow. Really? Yeah. I think I'll probably agree with you guys mostly on the rest of these, but I'm really rooting for the senators.

SPEAKER_03

I like listen, I I love the pick. I I think you're crazy, but I also listen.

SPEAKER_02

I'm doing that because I said the Red Wings weren't gonna make the playoffs. Don't talk to me about Two.

SPEAKER_00

Are you still taking a grudge on that? Um no, it's well, I will say that out of all the hockey I've watched this year, um, you drop the myths and go for a Tilly. I have not seen the Hurricanes play. Oh, well, you will now. Yeah, yeah. I will now. And uh I may eat my words and I'll be happy to admit it. But I'm gonna go Senators and six.

SPEAKER_03

All right. No, that's why we do these picks. This is great. Um I still think we should put you guys in a ring for a Tilly. I like it. All right. I 100% I'm not going to this is gonna be the most this is gonna be the most entertaining series, and that's Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. Pittsburgh ended up with home ice advantage. You want me to say field for you, Steve? Um if you want. I mean, it's kind of a field. He hates me. He does, he hates me. All right. So, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia. God, I'm gonna tell you what. This is so hard to pick. And I I think you guys are gonna be shocked at who I'm taking here. I'm taking Philadelphia, okay? And let me just, and I think it's gonna go seven. I'm only taking Philadelphia simply because they're they're much younger, okay? I if they don't win, it's again because of playoff, you know, experience, but I just think they're younger and they've got they've got the legs. I like Philadelphia to win a series here um against a very, very old Pittsburgh Penguins team. I know Crosby and Malkin and uh these guys, uh Chris Latang, they can still play. I get it. But I just I don't know why. I just this is one that and it's not a huge upset. They're both 98 points, they're both good teams. Philly's got you know, young kids, Mishkoff. They've got Porter Matron who's come out with on fire. You know what I mean? They called him up, and you know, he's set some kind of record like most points in his first couple of games. Uh they've got Matt Bay Mishkoff, um, and then they've got all all the other all the other vets. I I I really like this team. I think Philadelphia and seven here. Brandon, go ahead.

SPEAKER_04

Gosh.

SPEAKER_06

This series makes reminds me of 20 years ago watching going to the gym in the middle of the night and watching the playoff game between the two teams. I went into six overtimes. That's one of the longest games in history. These two teams go at it. And I'm gonna have to go. I'm leaning towards uh the penguins just for the opposite reason, just because I think their experience will carry them over the younger guys. And that's and again, it's it's a fair pick.

SPEAKER_03

I just I again I just think it's I think it's gonna become you know, youth, just a little bit more legs, a little bit more power, a little bit more. And again, it it could easily go the other way.

SPEAKER_06

So it's classic youth versus experience argument.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I it again, it's it could go either way. I mean, they're they're they're older, but they still have a bag of talent, you know what I mean? So um, Steve, who do you like in this one?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I'm gonna follow uh Brandon on this one. Um well the the stuff, Brandon. I'm gonna go with the penguins on this one just because I don't I think they're gonna get I think they're just gonna outscore, obviously. I don't think the Flyers are good their their goaltending, I don't think is good enough to keep up with the Penguins. Okay. Yeah. Good pick, Nick.

SPEAKER_00

I'm gonna go with the Flyers. Uh simply because they're coming off three wins to end the season and the Penguins are coming off three losses to end the season. I think they're gonna take some of that momentum and win the series in six, but I do think it's going to be a very physical, bloody series. I think it's gonna be a lot of fights, a lot of penalty minutes, um, which either makes the hockey game better if you're that kind of fan, or it makes it worse if you're that kind of fan.

SPEAKER_03

Part of the game, it's great either way. It's gonna be good hockey. Absolutely.

SPEAKER_00

I'm I'm looking forward to this game. Like, as far as the uh this division, like it's for me, it's the senators' game, senators hurricanes and then penguins flyers. It's gonna be non-stop awesome hockey. I like it.

SPEAKER_03

Flyers and six for Nick. All right, like it. Uh, next series I've got on my list here is gonna be another two, three. It's gonna be Tampa and Montreal. Listen, this these two teams really don't like each other. This is gonna be I this is gonna be another one that's gonna be like, Jesus, with the penalty minutes. It's like it's gonna be a three and a half hour game just because the refs have to sort out 200 plus penalty minutes a night. Um, I but I think it's gonna build up to that, or it's gonna come out with a bang initially, and then they're gonna have to be like, hey guys, we need to we need to reel it in. We need we need to we're trying to win us, we're trying to win a Stanley Cup here. And it's like, so um, you've got Tampa, you've got Montreal. Um so now I'm taking Tampa on this one. They've got home ice advantage. I think that's what it's gonna come down to. I think it's gonna go seven as well. Um, I I just think again, Tampa. They they they just it's like Florida. Florida, these teams from Florida have been ridiculous. I think I think Tampa gets past Montreal here. Um, Brandon, the stuff, what do you got?

SPEAKER_06

I love the way Montreal's been playing lately, but I they're great.

SPEAKER_03

They really are great.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, I have to go with Tampa Bay on this one.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_06

I think it's gonna go all the way.

SPEAKER_03

Tampa's Montreal, again, let me make this very clear. Montreal is another team that's been rebuilding. They're a few years ahead of like San Jose, and they're like Columbus, they're like Philadelphia. These are this is these this is one of the teams that's the future of the NHL. And I think Tampa's great. They've got a lot of young, good talent, some great bets. I Brand, I'm with you on this one, though. Again, I I I like Tampa. Yeah. Good good points. Steve, what do you got in this one, bud?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, this is one of the harder ones that I had to took some time to pick, but I am also gonna go with Tampa with in six.

SPEAKER_03

Tampa and six.

SPEAKER_02

Give me a second.

SPEAKER_03

All right. Is there uh what's the reason? What do you got as far as like why why do you like Tampa? Just the feeling, or is it like yeah?

SPEAKER_02

I yeah, I mean, it's just a feeling because they're very close all around. I mean, they're both really good teams. Tampa Bay, I just think I mean, they're just uh honestly, they are they always they they make it past the first round almost every time they make it to the playoffs. So uh I just don't see them not doing it against Montreal.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I mean, I okay. All right, you just think it's Montreal is young. Fair enough. Uh Nick, who do you got in this one, buddy?

SPEAKER_00

You're fine, they can't see it. One word, three times. Kucharov, Kucharov, Kucharov. I'm going lightning in four. Oh potential, possible MVP.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, yeah. In what? He said four. You're going for a sweep here. Okay. You heard it here. You heard it here first, folks. You heard it here podcasters is taking drugs. No, I'm just one of us. I fair enough. Thank you. I I mean, I I like the picnic. I just don't think there's any way that's a sweep. But again, you never know. You never know when it comes to Stanley Cup playoffs. So um, last series in the Eastern Conference, we have got Buffalo in Boston. I've got Buffalo with a gentleman sweep in five here. I it's Boston's. I no, I I I don't see this. I don't see this being a super competitive series, to be honest with you. Um yeah, I've got Buffalo and five. I not much else to say here. Uh Brandon, what do you got? The stuff. Kind of stuff you got, Buckaroo.

SPEAKER_06

Something about this matchup that intrigued me and wanted I did a little bit extra research on this one. And these teams did meet up four times during their regular season, and Boston beat them three of those four times.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

It's a tough matchup for Buffalo. So now I want you to look up what happens in the regular season when teams win three or four or hey, I know, but uh but also but Boston has this history of all of a sudden going being kind of sluggish going to the playoffs, and then all of a sudden they just crank it up to 11 out of nowhere.

SPEAKER_01

Sure, sure.

SPEAKER_06

So um my gut's winning Boston in six.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, very good. Steve. Boston in six. I think this is gonna be the upset. I think Buffalo is gonna get upset by Boston.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, Nick.

SPEAKER_00

Steve and upset just with the Sabres having not a lot of postseason experience, but I'm still going Sabres and six.

SPEAKER_03

I've got Sabres going to the Eastern Conference final, so yeah, yeah. Yep.

SPEAKER_00

This will be a good dip your toe into almost postseason hockey. I don't think it's gonna be that competitive.

SPEAKER_03

No, I agree. I agree. I've got five at most. I think uh this could easily be a sweep with the way the teams are playing right now. I just yeah, yeah. So all right, with that, we are gonna move into the Western Conference. Uh, first series up, we've got Colorado and LA. Um, I you know, again, it's like I I I like what LA's done this year. Um, I've got Colorado and five. Brandon, the stuff. Colorado and LA. What do you got, buddy?

SPEAKER_06

I mean, I was surprised by LA ending up making it, and I didn't think they would.

SPEAKER_03

No, I think a lot of us were thinking like uh San Jose or Nashville, and it's like LA got a little hot there at the end. Um, and again, real quick, just a shout out to Anze Copintar, man. What a just great career, great hockey player, um, great human being, uh, great ambassador of the sport of hockey. Um, I think it's like congratulations, Anze, on a great career. I will give you a round of applause. Um absolutely incredible career. Thank you. Uh, it's been great watching you. I've been a big fan. Uh I, you know, guys know me. I I love players, you know, and I love rooting for certain players. And I would love to see Copotar go on a run here. I just there's no way.

SPEAKER_06

So this I think there's gonna be a sweep in any of these series. I think it's this one. I think Colorado takes it and four.

SPEAKER_03

It's okay. Yeah, I got five again. Gentleman's sweep, so I that's fair. Uh Steve, who do you got?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I'm I'm leaning towards the same. I don't see Colorado at all losing this, but it's I I'm surprised the Kings made the playoffs. They did a great run at the end there. Um, but I get four or five, most likely five. Colorado's gonna take it. Fair enough. Yeah, like it.

SPEAKER_03

Um, Nick, what do you got, Bubba?

SPEAKER_00

I just don't know if it's gonna be in four games or five. Fair enough. Yeah. The most point, I mean, the Kings, the most points they have on any one player is like 75-78. Avalanche has two stars over a hundred, obviously, McKinnon being one of them. There's it's gonna be an overpowered, horrible hockey game.

SPEAKER_03

I I think I I just I know, and it's like, you know, LA could, you know, put up some kind of a small fight, but again, I just God, I just don't, I just don't see this. I don't see it. I like I think it could be four, I think it could be a sweep, but I'm giving them gentlemen's sweep. Just you know, I think maybe they'll get it. One of those home games they take. Yeah, and that's just that's it, man. I just again, I do like uh I don't know. I like the uh you know, I like them to get one game in LA. Exactly. Anyway, yeah. Maybe for Anze, right? Okay, so with that, we'll move on. Again, this this is an interesting series, okay? It's Dallas and Minnesota. I I don't it's weird, like Dallas had a just an incredible run there for a while, but then it just kind of went away. So here's my thing. I'm not I'm not confident in either one of these teams, if I'm gonna be a completely honest. But if I I'm gonna take Dallas, I think it'll go seven. Um, I think it could be a good series. I think both teams are good, but I just don't like their consistency, I think is what it comes down to for me. So um that's where I'm at. I got Dallas and seven. Brandon the stuff.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, this is uh flip of the coin series for me. It's like they're so close. And they are go ahead.

SPEAKER_03

Sorry.

SPEAKER_06

I I go with it's definitely I think seven also, but I'm gonna go with the wild on this one.

SPEAKER_03

You're going with the wild. Okay. Okay. All right. How many games? Seven. And seven as well. Okay, great. I like it. Uh Steve.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I think this is gonna, I think this is gonna be another tight series going to at least six or seven. Uh, I'm gonna have to go with Dallas on this one.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, home I see.

SPEAKER_02

Mainly because I think they have a better away. They win more away than they than Minnesota does. So I just think it's fair enough. Good enough, buddy. Right on.

SPEAKER_00

All right, Nick, who do you got in this one, Bubba? This stuff said, this is kind of a coin flip situation for me. Um, but my deciding factor was Quinn Hughes, man. I'm gonna go with the wild and seven.

SPEAKER_03

The wild and seven. Okay. I and again, I I know yeah, Quinn is a uh is a great player, and I just don't know if that's enough to beat Dallas and what they have, including goaltending. I mean, they've got arguably one of the is a top five goaltender in the league. So yeah. Um, I yeah, good pick. Great pick. We're kind of split on this one as well. And you know, so with that said, we are gonna move on to Edmonton and Anaheim. I it's funny, the last like so many years, and honestly, for a couple decades, the the Pacific Division's been one of the strongest in all of hockey. What a just terrible division, in all honesty, this year. Um, I I I don't I don't I I I'm guess I'm gonna take Edmonton in this one. Both these teams have been kind of up and down. Edmonton's been not great a lot this year. Um Yeah, I think I'm gonna take I'm gonna take Edmonton and I'm gonna take um Edmonton and I think it Edmonton will eventually catch on. I think I'm gonna go six here. I just you got the experience and you've got uh McJesus. I just yeah, that's that's where I'm at. So I I I don't have a great answer for you here, um, except for McDavid, Dry Sidal, um Hyman, uh Nugent, Nugent Hopkins, the Nuge. Um, that's where I'm at. And honestly, they do have a better goalie. They got rid of Stuart Skinner, so um it's just that's that's where I'm at right now with this. So I I'm gonna go with I'm gonna go with Edmonton and I'm gonna say six. Uh yep, the stuff. What do you got?

SPEAKER_06

Anaheim seems like the team that just sort of like limp their way across the finish line into the playoffs.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

So I gotta go with uh Oilers and five on this one.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, and five. Yeah. Yeah. So you think it's like Anaheim, I gave him six just because I don't think Edmonton's playing that great.

SPEAKER_06

I know, but I know.

SPEAKER_03

I got you. You yep, you don't have to say anything else. I I I get it. Yep. Uh Steve.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I'm kind of split between the both of you guys and what you guys are talking about. I think Edmonton's gonna take it. I mean, they got Connor. I mean, it's yeah, they have been playing bad, but I think they'll beat Anaheim.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. How many games you got? Six. You got six as well. I it's kind of like I'm like, I don't think it's gonna be a gentleman's sweep. I mean, it could go seven. Yeah, it's possible. Anaheim's got some young talent. We'll see what they can do. Um, they're another one, like again, San Jose, Montreal, Columbus. They're they're another, I think they're gonna be really, really good in the next several years, and I think they're an up-and-coming team like San Jose and them. I I I think San Jose, Anaheim, they're gonna be the future of that division. So um, okay, Nick.

SPEAKER_00

Norton sweet, baby. Oilers and six. Uh, oilers ended the season six, two, and two, and the ducks were two, six, and two, six, and two with their last 10 games.

SPEAKER_03

Even though six, two, and two, though, I I and I'm not I'm not discounting what you're saying. They still didn't look great in those six, two, and two. I didn't think that's all.

SPEAKER_00

But no, they they did enough to get wins, and I think they're gonna do it six more times, and they'll win in six. Sure. Okay, like it. I like it.

SPEAKER_03

That's what matters. All right, and then our last series. Look at Brandon. Look at his face, or Brandon's only series. Brandon's like, oh, oll, okay.

SPEAKER_06

I haven't, I haven't, I do not want this series. I do not want this.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, you didn't want your two teams, they can knock one of themselves out.

SPEAKER_03

It's time to draw the line in the sand. Coming soon to a podcast near you. Brandon the stuffed trainer picks between his two teams, Las Vegas hockey team and the Utah Mammoth. That's right. I will never say that name because it's the worst name in all of sports worldwide. All right, here we go. VGK. I'll say that, okay? Um, anyway, they Las Vegas hockey team versus the Utah Mammoth. Um Utah Mammoth in seven. Done. I'm not even gonna say anything. Stuff. Go ahead.

SPEAKER_06

You're going to me right away.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. I'll tell you what, we're gonna go backwards here. Okay, thank you. Nick, who do you got, buddy?

SPEAKER_00

I want the mammoth to win. I really do, but I think the uh golden knights in Vegas are gonna pull this out in six.

SPEAKER_03

That's fair. They're a good team. Um, one, I will say this. I I just want to give a quick shout out. Mitch Marner, I am so glad you got away from Toronto. They are the biggest schmucks for the way that they treated you and your family. Okay. Flat out. I'm gonna say it, it was embarrassing the way that you were treated, your family was treated. It's embarrassing. Toronto fans, what do you think happens when you throw a jersey on the ice? Like, do you think that does something? I don't know, because they still got their money for it. You're just the idiot throwing a $300 jersey on the ice, never to be recovered. Morons. And on top of that, these players are not machines, they're human beings, okay? Human beings are allowed to make mistakes, okay? They're allowed to have bad games, bad series, they're allowed to do that, okay? Not drama. Because just because you pay a ticket price doesn't mean that you have any rights to threaten these families, to stalk them, to post their address and phone numbers online. That's disgusting behavior, and you need help. Okay. End of rant. Steve, who do you got in this series, buddy? I'm sorry, but it's embarrassing. I'm so glad Mitch Marner got away from that, and I hope I hope other players leave next. Toronto's fan base and their media is embarrassing. To all sports. Don't disagree with that, but yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I'm gonna go with the mammoth in seven.

SPEAKER_03

Wow! I love it. So that's two for the mammoth. Here we go. Bop bop bada. Brandon. Sorry. Ladies and gentlemen, now picking for the hockey team in Vegas versus the Utah Mammoths, first round series. We have Brandon, the stuff.

SPEAKER_06

Utah's building a great franchise up there and you pussy. Vegas has been on fire since their coaching change. So, you know, I'm gonna have to pick is say it, you know.

SPEAKER_03

You're still not willing to pick.

SPEAKER_06

Okay, okay, okay. My brain says Vegas, my heart says Utah. I'm going with Utah on six.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my mind's telling me no. But my body. My body is telling me Utah. That was Brandon. Anyway, okay, so you are you're you're going you're going Utah and six. Okay, I like it. I think it'll be seven. I think it'll be a great series. I really do. I really do. Vegas just has not I I don't know. They I feel like they just haven't come together yet. Here's the funny thing. I want to see I want to see Marner. I want to see Marner win a cup this year. I'd love to see Vegas go through and win a cup with Mitch Marner year one, just like Eichel did when he left Buffalo. Because the fans in Buffalo were very ignorant about Eichel. They they again, it's like I hate, and not all fans, but I hate when fans act like buffoons. And they're like, this guy owes us everything. No, no, they don't. No, they don't. So anyway, um, I I I like it, buddy. I really do. Um, I think I like Utah. I really do. I like Utah. So I like them to get into this round, get their first uh playoff series win since uh moving to Utah. So I'm excited for this series as well. I think it's gonna be a good one. So um there you have it, folks. There's our first round uh picks. Let us know how we did. Um I'm excited to get into this. Saturday, it's happening. Um, I will be going and I will do a vlog for um for the for a playoff game. I don't know if it's gonna be game five or game two, but I will be going up to Pittsburgh for uh for a playoff game. So I'll be going to Kane's game. I don't know if are you gonna go to a playoff game?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, um trend Trinity will be coming down, so it'll be me, Trend and Madison going to a awesome.

SPEAKER_03

Are you going to do a vlog for that game? Uh sort of. I'm gonna I'm gonna talk, I'll talk to Trend. Yeah, that's what I was gonna say. Talk to Trent about I'm sure Trend and Madison. Okay, I'll I'll call Trinity.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, I'll be at the Vegas game.

SPEAKER_03

So Michael Misa and Igor Chernesov with a goal for San Jose. That was an awesome goal. What a move by Misa. He's gonna be a stud, too. Um, okay, so that's great, guys. There's our picks for this coming Stanley Cup playoffs. Let us know what yours are. Get us some comments. Let's go. So um, with that said, we are gonna move on to our next segment. So here we go. We've got our top five series is continuing. This year, we are gonna go a little different, or this year. Um, we're gonna go with uh top five worst fan interactions. This could be interacting with the players, interacting with other fans. It's just top five worst fan interactions of all time. So here we go. We've I think I've got some I picked some good ones. I wrote them down or uh took notes. But um so I am gonna go, I couldn't hang on one second here. Um give me one second. I am gonna start with where was I just trying to find the uh let's see here. Yeah, I know, right? I tried finding this and I had it written down and I can't find it. Oh my god. Yeah, I know. Sorry.

SPEAKER_02

Nick, why don't you start us off then?

SPEAKER_03

Nah, we're good. I got it right here. So I'm gonna go with uh in 2001, it was I was trying to find the date. March 29th, 2001. Ty Domi is my number five. Ty Domi, there was a fan barreling on the penalty box and was talking. So Ty Domey sprayed water up at the fan, fan fell into the penalty box and they got into a fight. That's my number five fan interaction. Again, fans think that they have this right and they act like buffoons. So that's my number one. Sure. Ty, what's that? Oh, he was talking to somebody else. Okay, uh, yeah, Ty Domey. It was March 29th, 2001. Ty Domey was playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was in the penalty box, and a fan came into the penalty box and fought him. Embarrassing for fans. Like, come on, dude. So that's my number five. Go ahead, Brandon the stuff trainer. Let's see it.

SPEAKER_06

My number five was in 1993 boxing match between Hollyfield, uh Hollyfield and Bo, when all of a sudden a fan came parachuting into the arena, landed into the fans, and got the ever-living piss kicked out of him more than any boxer in a match that night.

SPEAKER_03

Remember, yeah, I remember when this happened. Mine, by the way, was in Philadelphia. I forgot to mention that. That was a Philadelphia Flyers game. Anyway, Brandon, that's a good one. I remember seeing that. That was absolutely fantastic. That's a great number five. Steve, what is your number five, buddy?

SPEAKER_02

My uh well, see, the I was trying to-I I have a came up with a lot of instances where players were throwing items at at player fans were throwing items at players, and there was one where it was talking about how um it was at a football game, and he got hit, the guy got hit in the face with the hot dog, one of the players, and he actually stormed over the uh barrier and pulled the fan over the edge. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, again, good that's a good one. It's a good number five. That's a good number five. Fans sometimes get out of hand, they they're throwing stuff at players, it's embarrassing. But again, fans I I we've talked about fans over and over again, and they're unhinged idiots. And it's like one incident like that can turn uh the uh the world, the the public opinion against a fan base just like that. So good number five. Nick, what do you got, buddy? Number five.

SPEAKER_00

From 2001, who remembers Bottlegate and an NFL? Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Browns, where they called the game and then they were forced to go finish the game with two kneels. Um, yeah, but all started because of uh bad officiating, poor officiating, I should say. Um, and then all the fans threw every single bottle they could find, trash cans onto the field, anything. Um I mean they officially they officially called the game until the NFL called the officials and said, get back out there and finish it.

SPEAKER_03

Well, you remember what they did in that instant, because that's also on my list. So um what they did though is they removed all the fans had to leave the stadium, and then they then came in and finished the game. So that's uh that's that is my number four. So it was the game. Uh the Cleveland Browns, it was a bad call, and the fans, not just one or two, but the entire stadium, yeah, threw the bottles on to um onto the field. Now, here's the interesting part about that incident. That incident is why you now no longer uh no glass or certain bottles are now no longer served at uh sports stadiums. That's why that is the case. That's why that occurred. So now there's why there's like plastic or aluminum only stuff like that. So that was the one of the incidents that said, okay, we're done with certain bottles, and it was because of that game. All the fans had to be removed from the stadium, and the two teams came back out and finished like what was it, a minute or something left in the game.

SPEAKER_00

And they just uh the Jacksonville quarterback just kneeled twice.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, and that and that was it. So that was my number four. It's a great one. I'm glad I I like that you brought that one up as well, because again, that not only was that an embarrassing moment for Cleveland sports fans in their ridiculous history, it's a sad history to begin with, but it also changed uh the what you serve in a game type of bottle. Yeah, so all right, that's my number four. It was Nick's number five. Brennan, what's your number four?

SPEAKER_06

My number four is a game from 2002 between the Kansas City Royals, where while they were up to bat, all of a sudden a couple of shirtless fans jumped out of the stands and attacked the first base coach, Tom Tom Gamboa, accused claiming that he was flipping them off.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, jumping right from behind. He never saw him coming.

SPEAKER_03

Embarrassing. Wow, that's crazy. That's a good one. All right, Brandon. Good number four. Steve, what's your number four?

SPEAKER_02

Uh, mine is actually one that I saw on TV. It's the Steve Bartman incident.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, that's on my low on the list.

SPEAKER_02

That's on my well. I have some other ones that I have higher, but yeah, and I just I remember watching that and how the bad Chicago just completely tanked the game after that. Yeah, no, not to say that it was his the guy's fault that they tanked it, but it's just a you know, one of those coincidences where after that happened and it yeah.

SPEAKER_03

That it wasn't it it's no, that wasn't his fault. He got absolutely hung out to try. It let's talk about the rest of if you really want to talk about the rest of that game. They the Cubs beat themselves. Just stop. Cubs totally collapsed. So there you I could you got a laundry list of reasons why they had errors, they no, so they ended up losing that series too, didn't they? Yes, they did the the eventual World Series champion uh Florida Marlins. Uh Nick, what is your number four?

SPEAKER_00

Number four coming in hot 1993, tennis. Monica Sellis got stabbed by an obsessed fan during a match in Germany.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, he loved her, right? It was yeah, loved her so hard. Yeah, loved her so hard he had to stab her. That makes a ton of sense. Totally like perfectly mentally stable human beings. Totally all there. Great number three, Nick. Or number four, sorry. All right, so number three, I'm gonna start off uh December December 23rd, 1979. Several Boston Bruins players, including Terry O'Reilly, Mike Mulberry, who is an analyst now for NHL Network, um, and Peter McNabb climbed into the stands at Essen Square Garden, Boston and New York, um, to fight New York Rangers fans in their skates, climbing through the stands. It's a great, you can still look it up and uh and watch the uh the highlight of this. I what the F. Like what kind of fan interaction are we doing here? Like, this was ridiculous. Um, it says the incident was sparked when a fan when a fan struck player Stan Jonathan with a rolled up program and stole his stick. This is again why now boards are a lot higher behind the bench. So there you go. Fan reform. Players can't climb out over him, and yeah, just absolutely ridiculous. So, anyway, that's my number three. Brandon the stuff trainer. What's your number three, buddy?

SPEAKER_06

My number three is in 2021, the Tour de France. There was some person on the side who was just so desperate to get on camera that they stuck out their giant sign that they created and caused a gigantic pile up of every almost every bicyclist. I mean, ended up getting arrested and fined 1200 euros.

SPEAKER_03

I remember seeing that. Sam, I knew exactly what he's talking about now. That's great. I love it. That's a good one, Brandon. Good number three. Steve, what's your number three?

SPEAKER_02

All right. My number three was uh I remember hearing about this a lot. It was 2018, where South Africa lost to uh oh, sorry, this is two, right?

SPEAKER_03

No, we're on three. That's just three. We're on three. Okay, sorry. Okay, go ahead. My bad.

SPEAKER_02

We're South Africa. This was a South Africa soccer game, and apparently when after they lost, the team stormed the field and like completely destroyed the stadium. The cameras they ripped out like hundreds of seats and threw them into the middle and broke all the cameras.

SPEAKER_03

I've seen highlights of this one, I think, just while doing research on all this. So, yeah, that's insane.

SPEAKER_02

And another one, apparently, in there was another one in South Africa, too, but that one's lower on the list.

SPEAKER_03

You get over into Europe and Africa and South America. It's like you get into these countries, Italy, with soccer. It's like these people are insane. Nick, what's your number three, buddy?

SPEAKER_00

Uh, number three from game four of the 2024 World Series, the Mookie Betts Glove incident, where two Yankee fans um tried to rip a foul ball that he caught out of his glove. One of them held his arm, the other one tried to take the ball. Uh, MLB banned them or kicked him out of the game and then banned them from all stadiums. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

It's it's funny, Yankees. You also had the incident with the Orioles in the playoffs where the fan reached over and it was fan interference. That should have been reversed. I think that's you know, but you know, that's a good number three, Nick. I like it. Um, all right, number twos. So my number two is the Steve Bartman incident. Okay, so I have the Steve Bartman incident. It was October 14th, 2003. It was during game six of the NLCS. It was game six, uh, between again the Cubs and the Marlins. Um, Steve Bartman deflected a foul ball that Cubs outfielder Mois Salu was trying to catch. I he could have caught it, I think. Yeah, but it was it was definitely in play still. What's that? It was definitely still in play. It's right there. Fans have every right to try to get that ball. So it what what they did to Bartman in Chicago was absolutely embarrassing and disgusting. And I it if you look at the game, Steve Bartman didn't cause them to lose. The fans lost their mind. He had to be kicked out of the state, or he had to be uh security came and got him because they were nervous, they were throwing beer and pizza at him. It's like, shut the F up. It wasn't Bartman's fault that you lost that game, it was the Cubs' fault that they lost that game. I remember watching that game, it was like the Cubs just had already started to collapse. And so it's like I yeah, man. The worst part is I bet you Bartman didn't even it was it was in the eighth inning of game six, leading three to nothing, one out with a three uh, or wait, they were leading three-o, one out with a three-two series lead. Um the aftermath, the collapse. The Cubs unraveled, giving up eight runs in the inning. Eight. Okay. I you had one out in the inning, and you collapsed. It's not Bartman's fault. So, anyway, um, yeah, it was a total collapse. And oh, by the way, you still had one more game to play at home, and you lost that too. Yep. So, anyway, that's my number two. Embarrassing fan reaction, embarrassing fan behavior. Brandon is stuff. What do you got at number two, Bubba?

SPEAKER_06

My number two is gonna be Malice in the Palace. That was a powder cake between those two teams, and then all of a sudden a fan threw their drink down there, and chaos ensued. And yep, the even worse part about it is that when Ron Artest went up into the stands, he attacked the wrong fan. He attacked just some guy who was just standing there.

SPEAKER_03

Or standing there, and he watched him come at him and was like, What do I do? What do I do? What do I do? What do I do? So and to this day, I still don't understand why no any type of proction was added between the court and the seats, anything after that nothing, no, no, and it's yeah, yeah, I I know, I don't know. Good one at number two, Brandon. Um, Steve, what's your number two, Bubba?

SPEAKER_02

All right, my number two, I because I would when I did the research, I don't know. I watched this video and it was crazy. The 10 cent beer night in Cleveland, 1974.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, so I I was gonna put this one on my list too. It was kind of sitting at number six. Absolutely insane. There was fire on the field, a riot. Yeah, they I mean they had to call a squat, yeah, to get them out and keep people out of there again. It it this one was going to be on my list if it wasn't for Malice at the Palace and some of the other ridiculous stuff. That incident was yeah, at just I spent about 20-30 minutes just watching the video. If you notice, a lot of these incidents are happening in the same types of cities, so it it yeah, 10 cent beer night. They they were setting fires on the field, man. That was one of the only games. I believe that game got cancelled after and just yeah, so yeah, they had to forfeit. Uh, there was no longer a 10 cent beer night after that. Yep. Great pick. I'm glad somebody put that on there. I was waiting for it, and I'm like, is somebody gonna do it?

SPEAKER_02

And I'm like, and it was the interesting part, it was the two teams, the playing teams defending each other from the fans. Yeah, the Cleveland Indians ran out to save the Rangers, yeah. Yep, and from the fans that were coming onto the field that were.

SPEAKER_03

They had tried to stop it, I think, a couple of times too, and it just wasn't happening. That was just, yeah. I I'm really glad that that ended up on here. So, yep. I was gonna put it on my list. I'm like, oh, I'm gonna leave it at six, somebody's gonna be on there, but oh, it was so close. Um, all right, great one, Steve. Thank you for bringing that one up. Nick, what do you got at number two, buddy?

SPEAKER_00

Sorry and said, number two is Steve Bartman incident, and as a Cubs fan, this is one of the worst fan interactions of all time. It it really is sad. It's just sad. But how the city and how the fandom held like what they did to Steve Bartman is absolutely uh categorically insane behavior.

SPEAKER_03

For months afterwards, yeah. I think he I think he actually left the country. If I'm not sure. I believe he left the city and stayed, so yeah. Yeah, so all right, well, here we go. Number one. Okay. Uh, my number one is Malice at the Palace, guys. I here's the thing. And as Steve's, I love Steve's number two. I I was so close to putting that one in there because it's so funny and absurd and ridiculous and embarrassing, all of the above. Um, Malice at the Palace. Um, I was gonna do this for Brandon when he brought it up, but I'm gonna read it now. Uh, the 2004 Malice at the Palace resulted in 146 total games of suspensions for nine players. Uh, the hardest penalties in NL NBA history, Ron R. Test from the Pacers received an 86 game suspension. Uh, was the rest of the year's plus playoffs. Steven Jackson, remember with Indiana. Um Steven Jackson got 30 games. Uh, Jermaine O'Neill got 15, Ben Wallace, six. Um, Anthony Johnson, five. These are all high-end all-star players, too. Supposed to be leading by example, right? Yeah. Um, four other players received one game, one game bans. Uh, key suspensions and fines. So Ron Artest forfeited five million in salary. Steven Jackson got 30 games. Again, Jermaine O'Neal, 25. It was reduced to 15 and after appeal. Ben Wallace, six. Again, we went through that. Uh Um players lost roughly $11 million in salary. The cause, the brawl erupted when a fan threw a drink at Ron Artest. And like Brandon said, a player just this poor guy, Ron Artest, was so unhinged and out of his mind that he just went after a fan. The aftermath, five fans were charged with assault, banned for life from attending Pistons home games, and the NBA Titans security and alcohol sale policies. The whole thing is is so absurd and ridiculous, and it's just like, you know, whatever. It's like, what are you gonna do? What I think was one of the greatest parts about this whole thing was uh Ron Artes changing his name afterwards to Meta World Peace.

SPEAKER_00

Is it still Meta World Peace? Oh, yeah. Ugh.

SPEAKER_03

So that's my number one is Malice at the Palace. Brandon, give us some shock and awe, buddy. What's your number one?

SPEAKER_06

My number one was already sad, and it was at the Hamburg Open with the Monica Sella stabbing to me. It goes over the Malice in the Palace just because it's such a creepy, unhinged thing.

SPEAKER_03

It's a heinous crime. Yeah, it's a heinous crime.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, she didn't even know she got stabbed, she just knew something was wrong all of a sudden. Yeah, I reason. It just gives me the shivers.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I I it's that's a great number one. It it could have been, it wasn't on my list because you know I figured people were gonna say it. It was also you know, right there in the top five. It's it's that's a it's sad too. I just love her so much. Get out of here, Steve. Steve, what in the mental illness is your number one?

SPEAKER_02

All right, mine is I don't know if it's more of a worst fan moment or kind of it might be kind of epic, actually. But uh back in 1986, somebody at a Taladia Speedway, somebody stole the pace car and actually did a lap. I didn't even know about this one. Are you about this one because my cousins are huge NASCAR fans, and I used to talk about this all the time. Okay, they end up doing a being able to do a full lap before the officials were able to get him off the off the track.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, all right. That's that's that's just that's great. I love that. Nice number one. That's a funny one. All right, Nick, you're gonna close us out here, buddy. What is your number one crazy?

SPEAKER_00

My number one's the same as most as the same as your number one. Malice at the palace. Okay. Uh yeah. Yeah. It's the I mean it happened during my lifetime. I think I was actually watching or like a watching that game or what whatever, like it influenced the way I I feel about sport, sporting events in general.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I I think somebody called me and they were like, turn on because it was a nationally televised game. So I remember turning it on, and it was just like, whoa. So yeah. Great, uh, great, great top five tonight, guys. And uh, you know, let us know in the comments or uh here on YouTube, and you know, let us know what yours what your top five is or what you think, how we did, if we missed one, let us know what it is. Um, also don't forget to like, follow, subscribe, and share. Um, with that, we'll do final thoughts. Brandon, any final thoughts this week?

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, I got some big final thoughts this week here in Vegas. It's WrestleMania weekend. Okay, craziness going down here.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Not sure if I'm not sure if I'm going to the actual event. I know I'm going to uh Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling on Friday night over at the Palms Casino.

SPEAKER_03

Very cool, buddy. Awesome.

SPEAKER_06

But I'll be doing a report on that once the whole event's over.

SPEAKER_03

Awesome. Sounds great. Good deal. Thank you, Brandon. Um, Steve, final thoughts, buddy.

SPEAKER_00

You're muted.

SPEAKER_03

All right, you're muted. Nick, final thoughts, buddy.

SPEAKER_00

Uh I just wanted to say congratulations to Tyson Fury, the Gypsy King. He came out of his fifth retirement to win a boxing match on Netflix, and he is probably gonna retire so he can come out of retirement again. Because I think he's trying to have as many retirements as he has children, which is seven. Um, but yeah, so congrats to the gypsy king.

SPEAKER_03

Awesome, thank you, Nick. Uh awesome. Uh Steve, are you back, buddy?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I'm unmuted now.

SPEAKER_03

Awesome. What's your final thoughts for the week, buddy?

SPEAKER_02

Uh, final thoughts hockey. I'm looking forward to going to some hockey games uh within the next couple weeks. Yep, let's go. Let's go.

SPEAKER_03

For you, um, you heard it here, folks. What's that? Go ahead.

SPEAKER_02

Sorry. No, I love the energy of playoff hockey, it's different, especially at the stadium.

SPEAKER_03

I remember taking you to your first playoff game, and it was a great one. And it's yeah, it's just different, man. If you haven't been, folks, to um a playoff game in the Stanley Cup playoffs. You know what? Go to AHL or ECHL as well. Also great. I doesn't matter the real quick final thoughts. I am gonna be also going and doing a wheeling nailers. I'm gonna be back in West Virginia for work. I am gonna go to a uh try to catch a wheeling nailers playoff game as they are at the top of the ECHL. Um, with that said, uh again, folks, it's playoff time. Let's get into it, let's dive into it, let's have some fun, like enjoy hockey. With uh our top five in the fan interactions, folks. Listen, you buy a ticket to the game, you go to the game, it does not give you the right to act like an idiot. Okay, have some decorum, have some class, okay? These players are people, they're human beings. Yes, they make a lot of money, but they dedicated their entire lives to getting to that point in that sport. Okay, remember that. All right. If you don't like that or you don't disagree, do everybody a favor. Don't go to these games. Stay at home. Okay, if you don't have the ability to drink alcohol and not act like an idiot, don't go to the games, okay? Stay at home. Okay, no, drink and uh break your TV and get on. Yeah, honestly, man. Like, do everybody a favor. Otherwise, act with some class, guys. Okay, you have every right to cheer your team on and be a class act. Um, if other people around you are wearing another team's jersey, it doesn't give you the right to beat them up, to throw stuff at them, etc. All right. Again, please act with some class.

All right, go off of that. More than likely, there's gonna be some little kid right next to you who's it's their first time seeing something live. Don't ruin it for them.

SPEAKER_03

Don't ruin it for other people. All right, and fans, police your own at-home games, okay? If I see a fan acting like an idiot towards another fan, I'm gonna stand up and say something. That's my emo, that's what I do. I do not put up with fans. Uh, if I'm cheering for the same team and I see somebody getting treated like garbage, I'm gonna say something. It's that's not okay. All right. Treat others like you would want to be treated if you were going to a road game, guys. All right. But with that said, let's enjoy Stanley Cup playoffs, um, NBA playoffs. Enjoy those as well. Uh, ECHO, AHL, whatever you are watching, guys. Let's go. I'm excited. We'll see you next week. Don't forget again to like, follow, subs uh, like, follow, subscribe, and share. Um, with that, thank you very much. Full strength podcast. We are out until next week. Cheers. See you guys. Thanks, everybody.
