Look at uh what happened in Iran. The what is it, J January this year when you had uh I think the the estimates are 40,000 people shot for protesting. That was killed for pro not arrested, killed for protesting just because they didn't like what that that administration was doing. Could you imagine that that happened here? I mean it you have to you have to be able to tell somebody that you don't like what they're doing. And that does that mean that you can beat them or kill them? No. That's that's a right, you know? We all have rights, and to fight for those rights is a given given right. You know, you you have to I was reading a book on the uh the Holocaust. I never understood, and I still don't understand, why the Jews let themselves get into the predicament and then get executed and watching your entire family get executed and not fight. I just can't imagine that. I I can't wrap my head around it. I've I sit there and think, I was like, you know, it's easy I'm easy to sit here and Monday night quarterback that. But I I just can never imagine watching my family die and not doing anything about it.

Even if it's just me myself. I would love to think that somebody else in the community would stand up and say, no, that ain't right. And and you you see all these atrocities that happen all over the uh the world, and you if you look at the history, like the rape of Nan King, same thing. It's it the people just give up. They don't they don't fight. You have to fight for each other. You have to fight for yourself, you have to fight for your family.

Is that a value you think we're losing in America today?

I hope not. I'd hope not. And uh I would I would love to say that if it if it ever happened here, that we would we would wake up and fight for each other. Just like September 11th. Yeah. It would I would like to think if something like that happened, or the Pearl Harbor attack, you know, that would bring us all together.

You know, I I I sit there and and I feel like an old boomer. I I sit there and complain about the new generation. I'm sitting there like, you know, what what are you here here's what I if I if I have anything, and I tell my son this all the time, if you make a mistake, own it, eat it, and move on. Do not sit there and make excuses and fight just to try to make your excuse better. Just get over it and move on.

I hope we're not remembered by that. I hope that my generation is not remembered that way. I hope but we need uh you need to make sure that the people growing up own their mistakes. The mistakes are everybody makes mistakes. I make mistakes. Everybody makes mistakes. You just have to move on from those mistakes. Don't prop those mistakes up and keep trying to fix them. Just move on. Fix it, move on.
