You know, my right-hand man, my brother, Andrew on the sidelines. Yeah. I mean, big, big, you know, big week, big month in sports. You know, I want to start off the show by uh, you know, talking about uh this March Madness. First of all, I try and I try every year. I say I don't want to do it. I'm not gonna do it. But I do it anyway. And uh my bracket, probably my first round, it's over with. It's done. It's done. Um and I'm assuming that goes through a lot of people out there as well. Um it's it's tough, man. It's tough to get that bracket going because you know, you have a lot of Cinderella stories, um, teams that, you know, if they would overmatch other teams, um just have a bad day. And unfortunately, you know, you can't have a bad day in this tournament while you're going home. Um my Purdue, University of Purdue, Purdue University. You know, we made it to the uh Elite Eight. You know, we lost to uh Arizona. I'm not mad at it. I'm not mad at it. We did, we did go a long way. So I want to give it up to Purdue. Definitely, boiler up, hammered down. But yeah, nah, Arizona's a tough team. Arizona's tough. Um, and that's that's why they ranked number one. Um, yeah, that UConn and uh Duke game, that was amazing. That was a game for the ages. Um came down to the wire. Uh Duke looked like you know they had it in the bag. And uh the last the last what less than a minute, they they they they went to bed. You know, all they had to do was hold on to that ball.

Hold on to the ball, end the game, over, move on. And um, you know, it was a costly mistake on their end. Um and you know, it was a lucky break for Connecticut. I mean, he made that that that shot. I mean, that's that's a 50-50 ball right there, you know. Yeah, 50% chance of going in, 50% chance of missing in. And um, you know, fortunately for UConn, you know, he made the basket, and UConn defeats Duke, and now they move on to play Illinois. So now in one bracket, we have Illinois versus Yukon. Um I believe uh Saturday, this Saturday, uh April 4th, 6 o'clock is their game. And then the next bracket, you have Michigan uh versus Arizona, two number ones there. Um, I believe at 8 45, something like that, uh, as well this Saturday, um April 4th. So final fourth set. Um my personal opinion, I think it's gonna be Arizona and Yukon. That's that's what I'm that's why I think um, you know, if I had to guess, it would be Arizona and Yukon, and I think Yukon's gonna find a way to come up with that win. So right now I'm saying it. Right now, today, episode three, Yukon's taking it. Um, Danny Hurley, Jersey boy, you know, he he's gonna he's gonna handle his business. Um so yeah, let's see. Let's see. Next episode, we'll find out if I was right or wrong. Um, yeah. So another game last night, uh hockey, Devils versus Rangers. Uh, yeah, we we we got uh we got blown out in that game, but that's not what's important here. What's important is the fight. Because I mean, watching these guys go at it, Devils, Rangers, I mean it took me back to like 90s, you know. Um these teams, they hate each other. They really do. Um, you know, growing up, I've always been a Devils fan. Uh, but I had family members that, you know, had tickets to Rangers games. So I will go to the Rangers, right? It's a free game. I'm young, I don't care. You know, whatever. Um, but wholeheartedly Devils fan. Um, but yeah, man, like I can't believe we lost that game. But then when that fight broke out, I'm like, all right, we better not lose this one. This bit, no, no. We can't have it. Um so the funny part about it is that one of our players, he kind of goes into the Rangers goalie, like the net, like but like bumps right into the Rangers uh goalie. Some Rangers, you know, uh, you know, they they didn't like what he did. Um so like they kind of like jumped on. So the goalie gets up and he goes around the net and he's trying to like get a couple of hits in there. All of a sudden, out of nowhere, the devil's goalie's beelin', skating his ass off to the other side, taking off his mask, takes off his gloves. So now the Rangers goalie, he sees this and he's like, oh, this is gonna happen. All right. So now our guy, Devil's uh goalie, he's ready and he's like, let's go. Gloves are off, helmets off, mask, whatever. And um, we gotta wait till this guy gets freaking undressed, right? Like, if he gets freaking masked on it. Alright, so we're waiting. All of a sudden, they go at it. Man, and it was just like hit for hit, hit for hit. I don't want to say we lost that one, but you know, they're on skates, right? So like you lose a balance, you hold trying to hit punch somebody, grab it. So, you know, after a while, the hitting and everything, you know, the rain guy fell on top of us, but didn't do anything. Like he just fell on top of us, and then the referees kind of broke it up. But I mean, it was uh it was something to see. I was, I was, I was happy to see that fight. Uh I'm upset that we lost. But I mean, watching that go down, you know, that was awesome. That was awesome. So it took me back. But yeah, that was good. That was a good night for us. Um, even though we got the loss. Um, so that's that. All right, my Knicks. Knicks, you know, I don't know. I I can't call it with the Knicks, right? It's up and down with the Knicks. Um, you know, the teams that we're supposed to, you know, beat are kicking our ass. Right? Like we just lost a couple days ago to the Charlotte Hornets. You know, and then we played teams like Oklahoma City, who you're thinking, oh, this is gonna be like a finals, you know, a finals game. Like, this is what we're gonna see in the finals, and we get blown out by them anyway. So like I don't know where exactly we stand with the Knicks. Like, I I just don't know. Like, are they gonna make the playoffs? Yeah, yeah, absolutely. I think they're gonna make the playoffs. They're gonna make the playoffs. Um, but it's like, how far are they gonna go? Right? Like, how far are they gonna go in the playoffs? You know, last year, or the beginning of the season, rather, you know, I was like, you know, they're gonna be in the finals for sure. Like, they're looking really good. They're gonna be in the finals. Um, I don't know, but they just kind of lost something. Um, Mike Brown, you know, I didn't like him as a coach for the Knicks uh the first time around. You know, I thought we could have gone another route. Uh I always felt that Mark Jackson was the best coach for that team. I mean, look what he did in Golden State before Steve Kerr took over, right? So, and he's a New York guy, was with the Knicks, point guard. Mark Jackson's a hell of a coach. I think he should have been the coach for the Knicks. But that's neither here or there. So Coach Brown gets a second chance, and I'm like, all right, so he's a defensive coach. Um, so they they shouldn't have losed that defense, the defensive edge that they had with Tibbs, right? Um, so I thought. The thing is with Tibbs, yes, Tibbs played his main players all starting five, plus a six and a seventh. You know, he he he he played a little no, they played the whole game. A lot of minutes, a lot of minutes. Um that's how Tibbs coaches, right? That's how he he coaches. Um I feel that, you know, something about the ways the way Tibbs coached, there was sort of like an edge, right? There was an edge to this team. Um defensively, offensively, these guys had like an edge to them. And I think that's kind of helped them win a lot of ball games. With Coach Brown, uh yeah, he's a defensive coach, but I think they lost that edge. Some way, somehow, they they just don't have it. You know, and Coach Brown plays the bench. Like he played he's playing everybody. He's swapping guys in and out, like he, you know, he's doing that, right? He's coaching. But I I feel like this team lost their edge when they got Ven of Tibbs. It's just something's off. You know what I'm trying to say? Like, to me, in my opinion, you still got good players on the team doing their thing, but there's just something off. Um you know, I hate to say it, it's just it's not looking good.

It's not looking good. Challenge question is do you think that there's anybody on the team that's gonna be their go-to guy? Like we know that Brunson produces, right? He's uh he produces, he's solid, but is he their everyday player that's gonna be?

So that's their Yeah, Brunson is uh the the guy who you want to have the ball on the last seconds of the game. Like he's gonna have the ball. It's like Brunson gets the ball, everybody just spread the court.

Um on occasion, you know, Kat, you know, he he he could play in, he could play out. On occasion, cat might make might might get the call. But at the end of the game, the last second, Brunson's getting that ball. Like he's he's getting it. Like there's no ifs, ands, or buts about it. Like it's it's his gonna be his game to win or lose. Um but yeah, no, that's a good question. That's a good question. Um yeah, but yeah, these guys, they gotta do something. Um and it's just not, I don't know. They gotta wake up. I don't know what to tell you. You know, it's not looking good. Um, but that's my Knicks. You know, hopefully, you know, they kick it into gear. Um, they have this month, pretty much this month and next month is the last couple of months of the season, so they definitely gotta kick it into gear. Uh see where we uh end up in the standings. Um, so that's the uh Nick talk for today. My Giants, New York football giants, the John Harbaugh. He's been a busy guy. You know, we released a lot of players, we're signing up players, getting ready for this draft. Um the draft is going to be uh yeah, this month, as a matter of fact. So we're gonna have a draft show, pre-draft show. So be prepared for that. Uh I like the way we're looking. Like I said, Giants are looking good. It's gonna be a totally different team than the team of uh of last year, that's for sure. Much, much improved. Much improved. Um, they're talking about bringing in OBJ. Um I think OBJ still has it. You know, I don't think he hasn't lost his skills. He he still has it. Um I think he's still he can still play, he can still contribute. Um so if they get him, um that's gonna be a good sign in. That just gives uh Jackson Dart another target to throw to. Um, yeah. So I mean there's a lot of talk in the drafts as well about them possibly getting uh a wide receiver. Honestly, I I I would have to pick, you know, I think defensively, they're looking good. Offensively, they can do a little bit better. Um, but I mean, with the pick they have, maybe like the next, the next best player on that draft, you know, at that time, maybe that's what they pick. You know, maybe it's an offensive, uh, offensive lineman, maybe someone on the D line, cornerback, somebody, you know. Um, but I mean, they're they're they're looking good. They're looking good. And speaking of cornerback, you know, we let uh we let Flot go. Yes, I'm happy about that. Um Banks and Flot, who were, you know, picked in the same draft to be our cornerbacks, defensive backs, um, just didn't have a panned out. Flot definitely has a panned out. Banks has, you know, some showings of there might be a possibility can do something, but for the most part, you know, he he he pretty much wet's the bed. Um but yeah, Flot's gone. So I I hope that they get it uh they bring in somebody in, whether it's a veteran, whether it's someone in draft, um, that could come in and just be that locked down corner that that we need. Um But yeah, I can't say anything bad about the Giants. Um just don't don't don't trade Tibbs. Thibodeau. They're trying to trade uh this talk. Speculation of them possibly trading uh K Val Thibodeau. When he's healthy, I mean he's a force. Um he's still young. Like, don't don't give up on him. You know, don't give up on him. He he's he's exactly where he needs to be. So yeah, just just just keep supporting him and um let him play. Um because again, when he's when he's playing and he's healthy, he's he's a hell of a uh an addition. You got Carter, you got Byrne, you got Thibodeau. I mean, that's the new earth-winding fire right there. Like, you know, you can't beat that. You can't beat that. Um so don't don't don't get rid of them. I say keep them and let's just keep building. But yeah, overall drives are looking good. Joe Shane staying out of the way. John Harbaugh's pretty much handling uh the recruiting and the uh sighting players. So it's looking real good. So yeah, big up to my Giants. No doubt. Give it up for them. Yeah, big blue. The Jets. The Jets are a hot mess, man. The Jets. I don't even know what to say about the Jets, but Jets are a hot mess. Look, they they got rid of Justin Fields. I think they traded him to Kansas City Chiefs. Um they signed Geno Smith, so they brought back Geno Smith, um who they drafted years ago. Then they let him go because he's a paddle. Now, under a new regime, they bring back Geno Smith, hoping that he may be able to dig into the player he was um not last year, but the year before when he played with the Seahawks. Um, you know, he did a hell of a job as a quarterback with that team. So much so that the Raiders gave him a big contract, thinking that, you know, he could be that guy, and it just didn't pan out for them. So the Jets are now hoping they could bring him back and possibly uh, you know, strike lightning or something. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. It's just not gonna happen. Um I don't see it. The Jets don't have, you know, a lot of players out there. Um Gary Wilson, that's it. That's it. I even know they're an uphill battle. You know, and I feel sorry for you know Aaron Glenn, their coach. Um, because, you know, he he left a nice cozy job as the defensive coordinator for the Detroit Knights to be the head coach of the Jets. And I mean, it just hasn't been hasn't been easy for him, to say the least. Um and I don't think it's gonna get any better. So I I could actually see him, if they start off this season, the way they did last season, I could see ownership, possibly prune and plug, on both him and their GM. I honestly feel that their GM does not have a freaking clue. Um and he's just trying to throw stuff against the wall, hoping it sticks, right? Um it's it's it's it's it doesn't look good. It does not look good for the Jets. That's all I gotta say about that. So J E T S. Alright, we'll see about that. Good luck, guys. I feel I feel kind of sorry for their fan base. But anyway, enough talking about that. Let's talk about the New York Yankees. Okay. My Yankees. So, you know, last few episodes I was really down on team, Cashman, the whole nine. Right now, the Yankees are actually sitting on four-long record. Season just started, just started. Spring training was great, but they're looking pretty good. I know Cashman definitely is banking on his pitching this year. Max Fried, who we signed last year, um while Cole was down, you know, he became our ace. That dude is a beast. I'm happy we got him. Because he is a beast. I mean, yesterday he he he I think the the the Mariners had maybe one or two hits off of him or something like that, zero runs. I mean, he he blanked the Mariners. Um, what a what a great job he's doing this year. Um so far. He's 2-0. And uh, you know, we we we have uh Cole coming. He should be ready by, I think they said June or July. Um, you know, Roldan should be ready by June. So the cavalry's coming. So it's gonna it's gonna be good to see. Um excited to see, you know, when these guys come back. These, you know, as long as our hitters keep hitting that, they're hitting the ball, having a hot bat, you know, we should be okay. We re-signed Paul Goldschmidt um on a one-year deal. I thought Goldie was gone. I thought they were he was done for. But nah, nah, the Yankees brought him back on a one-year deal, I guess as an insurance, right? Um, to back up the K Ben Rice. Um, I would have never made that signing. But I mean, if he can still play one year, you know, whatever, good backup, security blanket, whatever you want to call it, uh, go for it. Um, but the team is looking good. I don't like the fact that, you know, they they sent down my guy, Jason Dominguez. I understand why they did it, you know, but I think Jason Dominguez was showing that, you know, he can hit spring training. He had a great spring training. Kid was knocking the cover with the ball. And they still, you know, up until the last day of spring training, they sent them down. So hopefully, you know, my man Jason Dominguez, who I've been following since he was 16 years old, signed out of uh Dominican Republic with the Yankees. Um, you know, hopefully he gets back into the big leagues. And I know he will. He definitely will. Um, so he just gotta keep doing his thing down in uh Scranton. But yeah, man, like the Yankees are looking really good. I I am excited. Um very happy that um that it's going well. Now, this is the thing with the Yankees, right? The Yankees always start out well and then come like July, they just I don't know what happens, but they just go on on a loser streak all the time. All the time. So I'm hoping the fact that Cole, Rodano be coming back in June, Cole will be June, July, hoping that they can, you know, make sure that doesn't happen this year. Um, I know Garrett Cole, he's eager, man. He's been sitting on the sidelines watching, watching these games, you know, seeing the loss of Toronto last year in the playoffs. Like, I know he's amped. He's ready. He he he wants to come back and show that he still has it, right? Show that he's still an ace. And we all know when Garrett Cole is on, he's one of the best pitchers in the league. So um it's gonna be something. Um but yeah, my Yankees are looking good right now. Um stay tuned, you know. Um to my Yankee fans, let's keep it up for that. No doubt, no doubt. Absolutely, absolutely. The squad is looking really good. Now, let's go cross town for the Mets. Mets made a lot of addition. Mets two are looking good. Um, you know, I don't know. They they they're surprising me. They put guys out of position. I mean, they're playing guys out of position. Um, but the guys, they're doing their job, right? It's baseball. You gotta they put you on a position, you gotta learn how to play real quick. Yeah, learn that adjust. Right? That's just how it is. Um, but they're doing it, they're actually doing it. So, you know, um, yeah, you know, to my Mitch fans out there, you know, I gotta give it up for y'all. But yeah, nah, that's that's awesome. That's awesome. Um, you guys are doing really good, really good. Uh yeah. So that's baseball talk. I missed you guys. I missed the audience, I missed the fans. You know, uh, again, this is our third episode. I want to talk about it real quick. So just bear with me. Um I want to talk about the Bad Bunny halftime show. I just want to give mine my true cents on this. I feel that the performance by Bad Bunny uh showcased not just his talent, but also a fascinating intersection of cultural identities within the United States. To me, it's disheartening to witness some opposition to the inclusion of Spanish in such a prominent and iconic event. The notion that some Americans felt compelled to create their own alternative halftime show it reflects a misunderstanding of what makes this nation exceptional, our rich tapestry of backgrounds, languages, and traditions. With the record-breaking viewership that Bad Bunny achieved, is clear there is a significant appreciation for diverse representation. As citizens of the USA, we are bound by our shared ideals, one of which is the freedom of expression. The First Amendment empowers us to voice our opinions and embrace different perspectives, a principle that should be celebrated rather than silenced. When we allow various voices to be heard, we enrich our cultural dialogues and foster understanding among one another. Let's remember that while our individual voices matter, it is our collective harmony that truly reflects the greatness of this nation. We can learn from one another, appreciate unique cultural contributions, and continue to uphold the rights granted to us as Americans as long as they do not harm any.
