Be an Ambassador for Freedom

Men are called to be ambassadors of freedom wherever God has placed them.

You don't need to wear a uniform to be a liberator. Every day, God gives us opportunities to bring hope, truth, and freedom to those around us. By speaking truth in a world of confusion, standing for righteousness in a culture of compromise, and covering others in prayer, we become instruments of God's Kingdom.

Real strength is not found merely in power, but in the willingness to stand for what is right. Real courage is not just facing physical battles, but confronting spiritual ones with faith, integrity, and conviction.

Whether in your home, workplace, church, or community, you have been commissioned to represent Christ and to point others toward the freedom found in Him.

Be a man who protects. A man who prays. A man who speaks truth. A man who brings freedom.

Because ambassadors of freedom don't wait for a title, they answer the call. ✝️🔥

Hey guys, this is Major Henry Hastings, and welcome to the SMC podcast: Restoring Biblical Masculinity by Raising Up Modern Day Minutemen in the natural and spiritual realms. This is where we tackle real issues men face from leadership and purity to history, spiritual warfare, and discerning the times at hand like the sons of Issachar. So you can stand in the gap at a moment's notice. Let's get into it. All right, guys, our scriptural anchor is the Spirit of the Lord, God is upon me because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound, that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified. Isaiah sixty-one verses one through three. Jesus came to set captives free. His mission statement in Isaiah 61 became the creed of every kingdom soldier who follows him. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me to proclaim liberty to captives. This is very near and dear to my heart as a green beret because our motto is de oppresso liber. It means to liberate the oppressed. That's a kingdom assignment. Every man redeemed by Christ has inherited the same mission to liberate others from the chains that once bound him. Before you can free others, though, you have to be free yourself. Jesus said you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Liberators aren't perfect men, they're delivered men. Men who face their own bondage, addiction, fear, shame, passivity, and they come out with keys in their hands. So the most dangerous men to darkness are those hell couldn't keep in chains. And Isaiah 61 starts with this the spirit of the Lord is upon me. Freedom isn't a personality type, it's an anointing. You don't liberate through force, you liberate through spirit-empowered truth. And that's why the SMC tribe trains both body and soul and spirit. Men strong in skill but weak in spirit can win fights and still lose families. But men anointed by God carry authority that breaks chains no weapon can touch. A gun can defend a home, the anointing can deliver one. Isaiah 61, four says they shall rebuild the old ruins, raise up former desolations, and repair the ruined cities. Liberators don't just rescue people, they restore places, they build families, marriages, and communities that the enemy left in ashes. They don't curse the ruins, they roll up their sleeves and rebuild them stone by stone. Freedom isn't finished until what was broken is actually rebuilt. Freedom is never free. It costs Jesus the cross, and it will cost you your comfort. Liberators step into dark places others avoid, not for glory, but for rescue. Some fight human trafficking, some break spiritual strongholds in their families, but all carry the same creed to liberate the oppressed. The price of silence is slavery, but the reward of sacrifice is freedom. Guys, this is our battlefield. We stand between bondage and breakthrough, between captivity and courage. Every time you speak truth in love, you're swinging a sword. Every time you stand for purity, you're tearing down a prison wall. Every time you cover a brother in prayer, you're opening a cell door. You don't need a uniform to be a liberator. You need the spirit of the living God. That's your commission. That's your creed. The oppressed are waiting for men who remember what freedom feels like. So here's your charge. Go back into your world as an ambassador of freedom. Break chains with truth, lift burdens with love, live courageously. The darkness regrets the day you were redeemed. You were not saved to sit, you were saved to set others free. De oppresso liber, to free the oppressed. This isn't just our motto, it's our mission. The Spirit of the Lord is upon you.
