This episode shares the heart behind Between the Prayer and the Promise.
There are seasons in life when you’re not where you used to be, but you’re also unsure of what’s next. The waiting feels heavy. The prayers feel quiet. And faith feels stretched in ways you never expected.
In this opening episode, I share a personal story from a season when I felt lost, unseen, and unsure—even to the point where I struggled to pray. I reflect on how a simple, unexpected act of kindness became a reminder that God sees us, even in moments when we feel forgotten.
This episode is for anyone navigating the in-between—those holding on to faith while waiting for clarity, healing, direction, or fulfillment of a promise. It’s a reminder that the waiting is not wasted, and that God is faithful in every season, especially the ones that test us most.
If you’ve ever felt stuck between what you’ve prayed for and what you’re still believing for, this space was created for you.
“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.”
— Hebrews 10:23 (NIV)

Why This Podcast Exists
Lost, Tired, And Unseen
The Drive‑Thru Kindness Shift
Hope For Waiting Seasons
Hold Fast To The Promise
SPEAKER_00There are seasons in life where you're not where you're supposed to be, but you're also not sure where you're going. That space, that waiting, that uncertainty, the in-between, and that's where this podcast was bringing. I wanted to share why I felt led to create between the prayer and the promise. There was a season in my life where I felt completely and utterly lost. I mean, maybe not dramatically lost to some, but I know how I felt. I was just quietly existing. I was unsure. I was heavy. I was sad in a way that I just really didn't have words to plan for. At that point, I couldn't even pray anymore. And it wasn't because I didn't believe, but it was because I was so tired. Have you ever been tired? Are you listening and you're currently tired? I felt unseen, unnoticed, I felt unworthy. And honestly, like someone in this world would call small. Someone would just easily over with me. I remember being in the Starbucks where I threw lying one day. There was nothing special about this moment. Nothing special about that day. And the person in the car in front of me paid for my order. They didn't know my name. They didn't know my story. They didn't know what I was carrying. They didn't know what I was feeling. They just wanted to bless the person behind me. But they didn't know that that one small act made me different. Made me feel seen by God. Made me feel seen in my pain, seen in my sound, and remind me that I was still loved, even though I felt forgotten. That moment shifted something for me. It reminded me that we never know how small our acts of kindness can meet someone in their weakness moment, their weakest moment. And that's my hope for this podcast. That something is shared here, a word, a story, a moment that will reach someone right when they need it most. It may not be the answer to everything you're going through, but it might be the light that reminds you that the path is about to be clear. This podcast exists for those in-between seasons. For when you're still pushing forward, still showing up, when you're still believing, even when you don't feel strong. It's a reminder that God is with you, that he will never leave you or forsake you. That even when you don't feel him, he is there. Even when you can't see him, you are seen. Hebrews 10 and 23 says, Let us hold uncertainly to the hope that we profess. For he who promised is faithful. God is faithful. If you are in your in-between seasons right now, this space is made just for you. You don't have to rush, you don't have to have it all figured out. Just keep holding on, keep holding on, keep pushing through. Know that God is with you. He has never left you. Because the same God who heard your prayer will be faithful to His promise.
