🎙️ Podcast Description: Can You Hear Me Now?

Sometimes it’s not that God is silent… it’s that our connection needs adjusting.

In this episode, Alexandra shares a simple moment from a phone call that turned into a powerful spiritual reminder. She was listening clearly — but when it was her turn to speak, the person on the other end couldn’t hear her. The message was there. The words were real. But the connection wasn’t aligned.

And isn’t that how life feels sometimes?

We’re praying, asking, seeking clarity… yet it seems like heaven is quiet. Our requests feel unheard. Our direction feels fuzzy. Our spirit feels like it’s talking into a muted mic.

In this episode, we explore:

  • how to recognize when your spiritual “headphones” are blocking clarity
  • why God’s silence is often an invitation, not a rejection
  • the power of pausing, resetting, and realigning your communication
  • how to shift from confusion to clarity by checking your connection
  • what it looks like to “switch to speaker” in your spiritual life

This  message is your reminder that God is not distant — sometimes you just need to adjust the channel, quiet the noise, and open your heart in a new way.

If you’ve been feeling unheard, unclear, or spiritually disconnected… this episode will help you restore the line.

Hey girl, welcome back to the More Than Enough podcast, where we empower, enable, and encourage you to transform your life from the inner to the outer with a couple of mindset shifts and techniques. And so for this week, we're going to be speaking on the topic of can you hear me now? I don't know if you've ever seen that commercial, the very popular Verizon commercial, where there used to be a gentleman that would go to these remote destinations and he would be speaking on his phone and he would always say, Can you hear me now? And he would walk a little bit further and he would say, Again, can you hear me now? to the person on the other end. And that particular commercial came to mind for myself as I wanted to share an experience that I had previously this week. I was catching up with a really good friend, and we were on the telephone speaking, and the friend started first by catching me up on new things that were going on in their life, and I was listening and all that good stuff. And then when it came time for me to respond and to give updates on my life, I was speaking, you know, pouring out what was going on. I was excited, and I noticed I was not getting any response that was aligned to what I was saying. Like I would say, like, oh, this great thing happened. And I just got kind of like a subtle, oh, okay, type of response, you know, or like a yes or a no. Like, you know how sometimes you get a response to an answer and it's not aligned with the question. So that was going on, and I actually had my headphones in at the time. So I'm thinking, huh, I wonder if it's something wrong on my end or their end. So I was in a place publicly where I couldn't put the person on speakerphone to just be rude. So I had to continue to just know, like, okay, something's wrong with our connection. I need to hurry up and get to a private place to check my connection. And so once I got to that private place, I switched my device from my headphones to my speakerphone on my phone. And instantly our connection and communication was restored. So that reminded me of that commercial of the Can You Hear Me Now Verizon commercial. And that leads me into the topic of this week of sometimes we could feel as though our lives are not the result of what we're wanting because we have to connect, check our connection. So as you may or may not know, yes, we are physical beings, but we also have different dimensions of us. So we have a spiritual side, we have our mind, and we have our body, right? So specifically for this week, I'm speaking about our spiritual connection. So I believe in God being my um my father. So I'm speaking from the perspective of God, okay? So a lot of times we can send up request prayers, whatever you want to call it, to God, and we feel as though we're not getting the response aligned with what we're hoping, or feel like maybe he's not hearing me correctly. And so I wanted to give that analogy of maybe it is your connection, and you need to sit back and check your connections. You might think your headphones are working properly, maybe they're not. Um, so specifically, some techniques for that I would say is really getting in alignment with God. Um, I personally speak to him in prayer, I'm open and honest. I also read um spiritual literature, specifically the Holy Bible, um, things like that. You have to diligently seek him and honestly want to communicate with him. And I would say too, honestly, not always just trying to get something out of the conversation. I believe you should always go to God giving thanksgiving. Like I always say, just be grateful, firstly, for this life, for this gift of life, and being thankful that God made you a person and not an animal. And trust me, I love animals too. I got a dog I love dearly, but I thank God humorously. I thank God He did not make me a dog. So um sometimes when we just get so like treat God like a Santa Claus, and we have to keep in mind that he's our you know our father. So go to him with thanksgiving just for the things that you have in life, firstly, and be open and honest about it. Um, don't always go with request of things that you want. Yes, you can, obviously, we should, but I think you should always, as they say, enter his gates with thanksgiving. So that's kind of the prefaces of the message I wanted to give this week. Um, I also wanted to give a really humorous analogy of sometimes a way you can um cleanse your communication with God. Let's think of yourself, as I said, um, we're spiritual, we're physical being, and we have a mind and things like that. Think of yourself for a moment, if you will. I know it's very humorous, but think of yourself as a cup that you drink out of. Whatever color you want the cup to be. It could be a very fancy cup, it could be just like a generic cup. And think about when somebody is pouring your favorite drink into it, maybe your favorite coffee, maybe your favorite tea, water, juice, whatever the case may be. Um, the cup's job is to hold that, right? And then to pour it out into, you know, your body and things like that. So if you're the cup, once you've poured out what's been poured into you, let's say God's poured into you, um, maybe you had juice that was poured into you and you're like, oh, this tastes good, you know, that God's poured into you. And then you as a cup, you get placed into, let's say, the dishwasher. And then let's say you come out of the dishwasher and you don't notice it at first, but there's actually some residue of the juice around the rim of your cup or inside your cup. Again, you don't notice it, and then somebody goes and pours, let's say, excuse me, God goes and pours something else, a different type of drink into you, let's say coffee, and then you're like, whoa, this coffee tastes a little bit like that juice from the other day. And you notice, oh, I had some residue left over. And so that goes to the notion of it's important to cleanse yourself, right? Um, make check your communication with God. So that analogy too, like cleanse your cup all the time, check your communication with God, um, earnestly seek him and things like that. Because a lot of times, like my friend, he or excuse me, she desired to hear from me and wanted to pour good things into me, but my cup, aka communication line, was severed on my end, so I still had a residue of that juice, you know, whatever the case may be. So I had to check my cup, aka my connection, and then allow the drink to be poured in. So I want to end on a couple of notes just for you to reflect on this week. Sometimes it's not that God isn't listening and he doesn't hear us, it's that our connection needs to be adjusted. We may need to pause, take the headphones out, switch to speaker to open our hearts, quiet the noise. As when I was saying I was in a public place and I couldn't hear him in the headphones, and I had to go to a private place and speak to him on, or excuse me, speak to her on um speaker phone, and we have to realign our frequency. So, a couple of points I want you to think about this week is where might you be speaking but not truly connecting? What distractions are muffling your spiritual clarity? And how can you pause and quote unquote switch to speaker to hear God more clear clearly? And so I want to empower you with this message today, and I also want to encourage you with this final point and know that this is what God said about you and me and all of us. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. That's what you need to know, and you have to believe to be true in whatever season you're in in your life right now. Know it, know it to be true, check your connection with God and get realigned on the correct frequency. I wish you all the best this week. I can't wait to serve you in the next episode, and I hope you have once again an amazing week.
