The Hello Sister Podcast w/ Tiff and Aunge is celebrating a milestone with Episode 10, and trust us, this one is packed with laughs, nostalgia, sisterly debates, and a little bit of Florida chaos. If you love fun conversations about pop culture, relationships, everyday life, and the things only sisters truly understand, this episode is for you.
We kick things off with our excitement about the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, also known as March Madness. Like millions of fans across the country, we’re excited for the brackets, buzzer beaters, and the unpredictable energy that makes the tournament one of the most exciting sporting events of the year. Whether you're a hardcore college basketball fan or just here for the drama of the underdog wins, we’re setting the vibe for tournament season.
Next up is our staple segment What the Florida? because if you live in Florida or even just follow the news, you know there’s always something wild happening. This week’s story is about a spontaneous conga line breaking out inside a Florida Walmart, and yes… it’s exactly as ridiculous and hilarious as it sounds. We break down the story and ask the real question: would you join the conga line or run the other way?
After that, we jump into one of our favorite interactive games: “2 Gotta Go.” In this round, we’re talking luxury items. Out of four indulgent options, two of them have got to go. But which ones? This debate gets surprisingly juicy as we decide what we can live without and what we absolutely refuse to give up. It’s the kind of segment that will have you shouting your answers right along with us.
Then it’s time for a nostalgic trip down memory lane with Black Mama Sayings. If you grew up in the 80s or 90s, you already know that Black moms had sayings for every situation. From warnings to life lessons to those phrases that instantly meant you were about to get in trouble. The result? A lot of laughter, a little truth, and probably a few sayings you haven’t heard in years.
As the episode winds down, the conversation shifts to dating now vs. dating back in the day. Let’s just say… things have definitely changed. From meeting people in person to navigating the modern dating scene, we talk about how relationships, expectations, and communication look different today. And in a fun twist, Aunge is officially ready to get back out there—but she needs help from the Hello Sister audience to meet new people. If you’ve got suggestions, ideas, or connections, she’s all ears!
Finally, we wrap up Episode 10 with our Sister Salute, where we highlight something we love. This week, we’re celebrating Winderlust, a brand-new double-deck wine tour and experience around Tampa that’s bringing fun, wine, and unique vibes to the city. It’s the perfect outing for girls’ trips, celebrations, or anyone who enjoys exploring Tampa in style.
From March Madness excitement to Florida news, Black mama nostalgia, dating talk, and celebrating local experiences, Episode 10 of the Hello Sister Podcast w/ Tiff and Aunge delivers the fun, laughter, and real talk you’ve come to expect.

Hello, sister. Hello, sister. Welcome to Hello Sister Podcast with Tiff and Ange, episode 10. We made it. I love it. I love it. Great show as always. Yes, definitely. We're going to do a little bit of what the Florida. Two gotta go. Yeah, yeah. We're gonna test your preferences. Two gotta go.
unknownOh my god.
SPEAKER_00Some black mama sayings. And dating as grown-ups versus dating when we were younger. Oh, of course, we'll end in a sister salute. Yes. You ready to do this thing?
SPEAKER_01I'm ready.
SPEAKER_00Meg it in it.
SPEAKER_01Let's uh before we do. So the NCAA tournament is coming up. Yes. And it begins this week. Yep. And I know how excited I get about the tournament. I watch college basketball, but I don't really watch watch until the men's championship tournament.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And the women's, they they do some phenomenal things in the women's side. But specifically speaking of the men's side, I know that we have our normal, our usual suspects, right? Duke, Michigan, Florida. Um, but I'm really looking forward to the sleepers. Yes. I love when there is a surprise in the tournament. But I'm not gonna sleep on my Virginia schools. Okay.
SPEAKER_00So UVA, VCU. Well, I always love that there's always a Cinderella team. So I am looking forward to seeing who that's gonna be this year. Yeah. Who are you looking at? I have no clue. Oh my god. I I I'm not even gonna lie. I watched the Final Four, but I have kept up with nothing. So I'm obviously going for Florida because we're in Florida. But I have no clue. I don't know. Not because I don't like sports, it's just it's not my thing. Football? Okay. Basketball. Yeah. Oh, sister. I know. I know. I gotta do better. Please. If Sean has it on, I'll watch it. But otherwise, no, thank you.
SPEAKER_01Got to do better.
SPEAKER_00Got to. Oh my goodness. Well, alright, so let's get into it. Speaking of Florida. Mm-hmm. What the Florida? Um, what you got for me today? Florida does not disappoint. What do you have for me today?
SPEAKER_01Oh, I got something. Okay.
SPEAKER_00I'm listening.
SPEAKER_01And I need to read it so you can hear it. The fact that you have to say this every single time. Because you have to hear it. Like it's just so crazy. Okay, Florida. Okay. Police say a Florida woman was arrested after allegedly launching a spontaneous conga line through a Walmart produce section while wearing homemade watermelon helmet and chanting free the cantaloupes as confused customers and terrified produce clerks watched. What the Florida? Oh, I'm still going. Oh. Witnesses claimed the barefoot parade waved through the melon bins and the woman waved her arms banging on displays and urging shoppers to join the movement. Whatever that meant.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And at least three customers reportedly joined the Conga line.
SPEAKER_00Because why not? Why wouldn't we? It's Florida.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01So the store employees attempted to shut it down, but authorities say the woman doubled down, accusing Walmart of fruit oppression and claiming that cantaloupes were being held against their will.
SPEAKER_00What in the world?
SPEAKER_01Police eventually ended the uprising, escorting the alleged ringleader out of the conga line.
SPEAKER_00What in the world? First of all, conga line, which means there were still people in it. Yes. That is the Florida. That is the Florida. The Florida is we joined in on the magnet. Why? Because we love music.
SPEAKER_01Because we love music. There was no music. There had to have been music. There was no music.
SPEAKER_00And somebody said there was music. There was no music. Wild. Florida weather Florida. What? The Florida. I can't say I'm surprised.
SPEAKER_01No, not at all. This happened in Orlando.
SPEAKER_00Oh, thank goodness. Because Tampa be Tampa. No, it was Orlando this time. Woof. Not my city.
SPEAKER_01That's so funny. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So stay out of Walmart for one. If you're gonna be in there, you're gonna see some shenanigans. Yeah. So who's surprised? When you said where it happened, I ain't surprised. When you said what happened, I ain't surprised. And them fruit ain't the best looking fruit. They are suppressed and should be freed. You know what?
SPEAKER_01So you go join the coconut.
SPEAKER_00No.
SPEAKER_01That is crazy. Absolutely. What the Florida. What the Florida.
SPEAKER_00Alright, Florida, keep floatering because you are giving us content that we have for days. Every week. Every week. Alright, let's keep it moving. Two gotta go. Alright, so the two that gotta go, well, you I'm gonna give you four choices. Okay. Two of them gotta go, two of them you would keep. Okay. So you can only pick two.
unknownAll right.
SPEAKER_00That's a lot of pressure. So this two gotta go is luxuries.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_00Yes. So your options are a private chef for life, unlimited first class travel, ten thousand dollars a month, or be debt free. Hmm. Two gotta go.
SPEAKER_01Two gotta go.
SPEAKER_00Two gotta go.
SPEAKER_01So what are the two that I want to keep and what are the two that gotta go?
SPEAKER_00Yep, private chef, unlimited first class travel, $10,000 per month, be debt-free.
SPEAKER_01Um gonna go with private chef gotta go. Okay. I cook. Yeah, you do. I am a chef. So yeah. I I don't need that. Yeah. And if I have an extra $10,000 a month, I don't need to be debt free. So I'm gonna cancel out being debt free. So I'm going with unlimited first class travel. Because as much as we love to travel, I will love to do it first class. And the 10 extra. This is extra 10,000 or just 10,000?
SPEAKER_00Extra.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so extra 10,000, I will take that.
SPEAKER_00Okay. What do you say? So for me, I like the idea of a private chef for life, but that's not enough for me. Because my husband cooks and I can provide, so ain't nobody starving. Right. So that has to go. Um I'm stuck on this one. So I definitely would pick unlimited first-class travel. Yes. Because we travel so much. Agreed. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, God. Yes. Um, and so first class travel would definitely stay. Yeah. I think I'm gonna choose to be debt-free. Okay. And the reason I'm doing this is I'm playing with it a little bit. So that means if I'm debt free, everything I spend gets wiped away. So if I'm charging on my credit card, gone. My mortgage, I mean, gone. Yeah. So for me, I think I'd be debt free. Okay. Unlimited first class travel, get rid of private chef, and get rid of $10,000 per month. Interesting. I know. But I feel like I can charge my credit card $10,000 if I want, if I'm debt free. Right? I mean, I'm playing the system a little bit. You know I'll be thinking on thinking on thinking.
SPEAKER_01I know, but if you are creating new debt, your new debt is immediately eliminated. Well, that's not true. I uh that's how I read it.
SPEAKER_00If it says be debt free, that means how can I accrue debt? That is true. So that's that's what I'm going with.
SPEAKER_01So you're going with the technicality. I'm going with the technicality. So then, yes, that could be true.
SPEAKER_00Yes. So that is my two gotta go. Private chef gotta go. Yes. 10,000 per month. Gotta go. Interesting. Yes. I like it. All right. We should have more than what you gotta do. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. We'll have some more. Um, we were pretty aligned though. Yeah, well, I think the travel part. Yeah. Well, I think that just means we like to be outside. Now, yeah. Yeah. Sure.
unknownLet's do it.
SPEAKER_00Sure. That's so funny. All right, let's keep it moving. Black mama sayings. I think I got a few of these. Well, I think a lot of us got a few of these. Yeah. Okay. So I'm gonna say mine. I'll start with one. Okay. Because I said so. Yeah. Point blank and period. Don't ask me why. Yeah. The answer is because I said so.
SPEAKER_01And that worked on us as kids. That don't work on these kids now. What? A kid gonna ask me why? Yes. No. And you will not be, they will not be ignored. So if they say why, you think you're just gonna say because I said so in this age of internet? Absolutely not. My sons, if I say no or if they ask why about something, the next thing is if I say I don't know, the next thing is look it up. It could be anything. Go to bed. Why? Because you're gonna be tired in the morning. Because I said so doesn't work.
SPEAKER_00No. Our mama said it. And the answer was walk away. Because she said so was enough.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_01My final is uh no and don't ask me again.
SPEAKER_00I think that's appropriate too. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Black mama saying.
SPEAKER_00And that would be immediate.
SPEAKER_01And don't ask me again.
SPEAKER_00Yes. I think that would be immediate. Yes. Because you don't ask me why.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00Good luck. Next one. You got McDonald's money? You got Target money? Yeah. You got uh flight money? Yeah. You got Disney money? Yeah. Disney. Yep. Keep going.
unknownAnything.
SPEAKER_01No. That's a good one because these kids don't understand. Mama not rocking like that. You cannot ask me for everything that you see. You can ask. The answer gonna be you got McDonald's money. And the next thing is go to bed.
SPEAKER_00How about um, I'm not one of your little friends. Yes. Don't don't come out here acting crazy. I like you, but I ain't one of your little friends. Yeah, don't talk to me like that.
SPEAKER_01It ain't going down. Don't talk to me like that. I'm not one of your little friends. Yeah. Yeah. That's a good one.
SPEAKER_00Okay, this is my favorite. When we get in the store, don't ask for nothing. Nope. And don't touch nothing. Don't touch nothing.
SPEAKER_01Because if you break it and I gotta buy it, I'm gonna beep. I'm gonna break you. I don't hit my kids. I know, I know.
SPEAKER_00Meanwhile, if Ro or Trey asks for anything, the answer is immediately yes.
SPEAKER_01Immediately yes. They don't ask for much. No, they're really good kids.
SPEAKER_00Those are black mama sayings back when we were in the 80s and 90s. Yes. Now it doesn't apply. I know it don't apply. We gotta do better.
SPEAKER_01Well, we don't go to McDonald's anyway.
SPEAKER_00No, we don't. McDonald's is out.
SPEAKER_01That's so funny. Yes.
SPEAKER_00Alright, those are black mama sayings. You got any more? I don't use any of them now. It's funny. I swear, we are not our parents by any means. We are so unserious. We are so unserious. There was this video, and it was a cartoon video of a mother hollering at their son, telling him to go get in the room, and she had bass in her voice, and the husband was standing right there. He walk in, she uh the kid walk in the room and the husband like, go get in that room. Mocking her and they are laughing. I swear that is us. We are so unserious. That is so true. Hilarious.
SPEAKER_01I'll say things and I'll fuss at them, and sometimes I gotta turn and laugh. Because it's just this is so silly. We are the parents now.
SPEAKER_00We are literally the parents. Yes. That is hilarious.
SPEAKER_01Black mama sayings. I love it. I love it. Well, I have a lot to say about this next topic. Okay. I am single. Ready to mingle. And I am officially ready to mingle. I am ready to start dating. I have been divorced for a year, officially this month. And I'm interested in dating again. But dating now versus dating back when we were younger is so much different. Yeah, it is. So I told you guys before, I married my high school sweetheart. We were together for 26 years, married for nine. So that's life. That is almost my entire lifetime. Yeah. And so now getting back into the dating world, like this sounds ridiculous to me, but it's different now. Yeah, it is. Because back in the day, you know, you had to talk on the phone and you didn't have 24-7 access to each other. We didn't have cell phones. No, we didn't. So we had our own line, but we had to be home. Yep. And you had to actually call and have some kind of phone etiquette. Crazy, right? Yeah. So now people have 24-7 access to you with your cell phone, and they're expecting you to get back to them immediately.
SPEAKER_00Well, even text message, DMing, like the modes are different now. Yes. Exactly. And what's acceptable, what's not acceptable.
SPEAKER_01Right. I don't know anything but what I've heard, and I heard it is hard. Hard out in them streets. It is. I ain't going back. Listen, congratulations.
SPEAKER_00You got a good one. I do. I do. But if something were to happen, single for life. I ain't doing it. But for you, what are some of the things as a grown-up versus dating when you were younger that you would consider?
SPEAKER_01So I'm gonna start with what I won't consider. Yeah. I won't consider starting a relationship in the DMs. Yes. I won't consider that. I'm not interested in somebody DMing me that's unknown and you want to spark a conversation out of nowhere. Yeah. It's not that I don't want a conversation. It's the are you a real person that it gets to me? Like that's what I think about. Like, are you a real person or are you catfishing? Do you look like the profile picture that you have up there? You could be whoever you want to be on social media.
SPEAKER_00Literally.
SPEAKER_01And I'm just supposed to be like, oh, I fell in love with you in the DM, and you just present me with anything. Like that part I'm not really interested in.
SPEAKER_00I get it too, because our DMs are are ridiculous. Are they? They are ridiculous.
SPEAKER_01I I stopped looking at them and you've taken over the DMs. I think one of the things that really is interesting to me is that we're two people in our podcast, and it's Tiff and Anj podcast, and then people are like, How are you doing? Or tell me about yourself. Who are you talking to? Are you talking to Tiff or you talking to Anj? And then when you ask, are you talking to Tiff or Anj? They keep up the conversation like you didn't just ask a question.
SPEAKER_00Because they're a robot. That that is the catfishing part of it. Nothing else makes sense. I literally say, Who are you asking to speak with? And they keep going in the conversation. I love that you're God fearing. I love that you grew up in cities close to us. We're not interested.
SPEAKER_01No, I don't I don't think I'd spark a conversation or be interested in somebody who DM'd me, especially the people across country. Yeah. We're not even the same time zone. Like, they gotta be local. Yeah. I I would prefer to meet someone, and this is the thing back in the day, you could meet someone at local, like you could be introduced. So, like I met my husband through an acquaintance on the basketball team. So she and I were friends, she went to a different high school. She thought that my husband would have been a good fit for me, and then she introduced us. Yeah, so that's how we met is we had to meet through friends, and so I would rather meet someone that way through a recommendation.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Because you have at least vetted that person and you know they would be my type. That is my preference, but I know that's not a reality.
SPEAKER_00I know, because everybody trying to meet somebody. It's a lie. And I ain't got nobody for you. It's gonna have to be a stranger. I asked Sean today. He was like, I got nobody for you. Okay.
SPEAKER_01All right. Um I am hesitant to do dating apps. Oh gosh. Um I you you the paid apps I heard, like they're more serious people on the paid apps. Um I don't think I would do like those you're in my city, swipe left, swipe, swipe right type deals. I don't know if I would do that.
SPEAKER_00That's just as risky as dating someone in the DM.
SPEAKER_01So uh, I think I would join like maybe a run club or some sort of hobby or interest. Yeah, I think I would do that to meet people. Um speed dating. I would do speed dating.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I would do that.
SPEAKER_00I feel like we should just do the things that we love to do.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Go travel, go to the places you like to go to, go eat in the places you like to eat. That means that there's some commonalities that are there. Yeah. If they're in our circles, then they're spending money. Okay. Right? We're not just eating. Yeah, we went to brunch and we just dropped, you know, $150 today. So if you are brunching the way we brunching and in our circle, yeah, you're gonna that tells me something right there about some of your tastes. That's true. If we're traveling and we're in Bali and I meet you in Bali, that's true. That says a little bit about you too. That is true. So I say just do your life, live your life, have fun with your life, and then hopefully you meet someone along the way.
SPEAKER_01So the meeting somebody in the places that I am is a little hard. I'm at the kids' school. Oh, that's a no. I'm at church, and I'm at the food pantry. Well, you need to get outside. That's that's what I'm saying. Like, where where do you meet people outside? That ain't outside, I'll tell you that. I don't club.
SPEAKER_00I'm not going to a bar.
SPEAKER_01I'm not going to a club.
SPEAKER_00That's what we used to do in the 20s.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So you used to give me a little look and come over and ask me for my number, and that would be your 20s.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_00I'm not in a club.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So you guys tell me in any city, doesn't matter if you're in you know Florida or not. In any city, tell me how do you meet people? Like, where should I go? What where are places that single people hang out? Um, I'm not going to the gym, so let's go ahead and X that one out. Uh I work out at home. I'm not gonna sweat in public. I think that's a preference.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So run club is a good look though. Run club, I could have got a black run club. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Orlando has one too.
SPEAKER_00Girl. So I'm gonna run, but I may do the stretches.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Can we meet up at the stretch? And then maybe at the finish line.
SPEAKER_01So you go stretch and then walk to the finish line and then go and stretch like you.
SPEAKER_00That was all I needed to do. I caught you in the front end.
SPEAKER_01Or it might be at the end waiting for you, stretching. Anyway, where should I meet people? This is the newest version of what my life looks like. And I'm excited to actually embark on this new journey. Uh, I said last year, at this very time last year, I started my lock journey. And so I have gone through a whole year of being locked. Right.
SPEAKER_00It's so cute.
SPEAKER_01And I'm starting to date again. So that's a new journey for me. Um, it's a lot of interesting things and fun things happening, but I'm nervous. And I should be, but um, I I think it's time I'm ready. I've gone through my healing process. I think it's continuous, it's not, it's never stopping, it's ongoing, but I think I'm ready.
SPEAKER_00Well, I'm excited for you. But y'all please help us because I don't even know where to begin.
SPEAKER_01And fair warning, Tiffany is the picker.
SPEAKER_00Yes. It's got to come through me.
SPEAKER_01Tiff says no.
SPEAKER_00You're not gonna make it. No. And I I vet people for a living. Hmm. That HR that HR come in handy.
unknownHmm.
SPEAKER_00So try me.
SPEAKER_01You never go eat.
SPEAKER_00No, I mean, everyone's human, people are human. I get that part of it. But we're not dealing with foolishness in these good 40s. No. F it. F it 40s. F it 40s. We're figuring it out.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Love it. Alright, well, believe it or not, this is the end. Already? It is. Just like that. Fun time. I know. So for me, combining the drink and my salute is to Winder Lust. Super excited about this company. Yeah. Double decker, bus experiences, wine tours, amazing opportunity coming to Tampa. Yeah. So I am super excited to be a true supporter of Winder Lust. Gotta check them out. If you're local, more to come. They have the bus. They're uh doing demolition right now to it. And so I'm hoping that soon and very soon, we'll be enjoying some wine on the tour. Are you Ray Charles?
SPEAKER_01You will take a gospel song and turn it R D? What was happening? No, I'm just really, really excited. I think it's gonna be like one of the staples in Tampa. Like if you come to Tampa, you have to do the winderlust tour.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and we don't have anything like it.
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_00And so, you know, everyone does experiences, but getting on a bus and having that experience with your good girlfriends, good music, a charcuterie board. Yes. And then going somewhere and enjoying a wine experience. I mean, come on. You can't beat that. We need that. Tampa got beautiful weather all year long. Yes. Oh, we outside, y'all. Outside, y'all. Winder lush, check them out. Exciting. Yes. Coming soon. Alright, so that really ends the show. And so I'm excited to uh do our sister salute. As always, uh to the sister who dared, to the sister who cared, to the sister who said yes to herself. We see you, we celebrate you, and we salute you. Cheers. Cheers.
SPEAKER_01I love you, sister. I love you, sister. All right. All right, one more in the books. That's episode 10.
