Ray J’s Math Ain’t Mathing, Lego Crocs, Spirit Chaos & Dating for Discovery. Episode 16 is here, and the sisters are spiraling immediately.
We open with Ray J telling Cam Newton on Funky Friday that he’s slept with 12,500 women. Twelve. Thousand. Five. Hundred. Tiff and Aunge do the math, carry the one, divide by the years… and still can’t make the numbers make sense. The disbelief is loud.
Next up: the new Lego + Crocs shoe collab. The collab nobody asked for, but everybody wants. It’s colorful. It’s chaotic. It’s giving “midlife crisis meets kindergarten art class.” And somehow, adults are READY. The sisters discuss whether they’re dipping a toe in or minding their business.
Spirit Airlines is officially shutting down, and the sisters take a moment to honor the most chaotic airline in American history. Middle seats that don’t recline. Flight attendants who don’t play. Passengers who fight like it’s a pay-per-view event. Tiff and Aunge share their wildest Spirit stories, and trust, they have RANGE.
In our What the Florida?, a Florida doctor removed the wrong organ during surgery. The patient went in for a spleen removal and the doctor took out their liver instead. Tiff’s reaction? A cinematic masterpiece.
Next, the Internet is Ablaze: Megan Thee Stallion & Klay Thompson break up. The sisters dive into the breakup that has had the timeline in a chokehold. From the relationship timeline to the rumors to the memes, nothing is off-limits. This leads to a deeper conversation: Are people dating for discovery or dating to be married? And the sisters do NOT agree.
We close with a heartfelt Sister Salute to the cast and crew of Beyond the Gates, the daytime soap that has been delivering drama, nostalgia, and comfort for the last year.
Stay tuned until the very end. You do not want to miss a thing.
Hello, sister. Hello, sister. Welcome to Hello Sister Podcast with Tiffanange, episode 16. 16. Ready? Yeah, let's do it. All right. Well, let's just jump right on in. All right. So we got a great episode for you. I know I say that every time, but it is true. Yeah. So, but anyway, uh, so we are gonna do a lot of around the social media. Of course, things are popping. Uh, of course, we have a what the Florida. Yes. Yes, thank you. You always find the best stories. Oh, this one today.
SPEAKER_00Please continue.
SPEAKER_01It won't disappoint, right? Not at all. Uh, of course, one of the things that's really taking social media by storm right now is Meg the Stallion. Yeah. So we'll get into that a little bit. Also talk a little bit about dating for discovery. Hmm. Yes, yes. And then, of course, we'll end in a sister salute. You ready to do this thing? Let's do it. All right. So let's get into a little bit of around the social media. First story that I want to bring up is a little disgusting, but at the same time very interesting. Oh, okay. Okay, so Ray J went on Cam Newton's Funky Friday podcast. Yes. And he told Cam Newton that he slept with over 12,500 people. People or women? Women, excuse me. Let me let me correct that because he did say women. Okay. Yes, women. 12,500 body count. Now he's 45 like me. Okay. That would be the equivalent of sleeping with a woman every day for 30 years. Okay. Now, granted, I'm sure he's had quite a bit of um uh experiences, maybe not all at once, but nonetheless, a body count of 12,500 women to the tune where he knew when he was hitting 10,000 and he celebrated his 10k mark. Okay. Yeah, that part. So, a body count, everybody has body count, but body count of 12,500? Eee.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so I I can't judge anybody's body count. Uh I I wouldn't sleep with him. I'm not gonna judge his body count. I would was he bragging or was he just disgusting?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think he was just stating. I mean, obviously, you you're bragging if you say that you have been with 12,000 people and you celebrated 10,000. Like, there's a little bit of brag there. But I think he was just talking.
SPEAKER_00I wouldn't tell nobody that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So it almost makes you wonder like, is he lying? Is he bragging? Like, that's a great question. What is the purpose? What is the intent?
SPEAKER_00Are you proud of that? Yeah. Uh yeah.
SPEAKER_01Leaves you a little speechless, right?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Yeah. I I think I'm speechless just because that number, uh obviously he he goes on tour and there's multiples. I I get that. But that's a lot.
SPEAKER_01I know.
SPEAKER_00Like, when do you have the time in the day?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And let's not forget that he was married for a good portion of years. So I mean, we obviously know that him and Princess broke up. Right. Infidelity was part of the issue, but like take take a couple years off then.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Well, I mean, it's it's not gonna work forever, so I I guess use it until you lose. No, ma'am, absolutely not. Absolutely not. I got nothing. I got nothing. Uh that's that number is wild to me. If he said like 1250, I'd be like, oh, okay. All right. He's a celebrity. He's a celebrity. He was on tour. You've got women standing at your door waiting for you with a friend. Yeah. So I get that. Add that extra zero, and that becomes unsafe.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he almost makes you want to send for wellness check.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Prep is an amazing thing. I hope he's on prep. If not, I hope he gets on prep. But any woman who's going to be moving forward, you know, do you. But if I heard that my dude was with 12,500 people, that's more than Wilt Chamberlain. That's more than Ric Flair. I I I don't know.
SPEAKER_00I don't know. I don't know. Yeah, I I I probably I wouldn't date him, and I don't think it's not for the number, I think it's for the discernment. Like you think that's a good idea? Like that's that's your idea of a a lifestyle. And to talk about it. So even if you did it, to talk about it, yeah.
SPEAKER_01It's kind of wild.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So I actually uh, you know, when we were on the cruise, the guy that was on the cruise, he said he had ten kids. Um, I just met a man who has eight kids and the youngest is one. So I think it's a two-part question. One, um, would you date a man with a one-year-old? No. But continue. I don't think I need to continue.
SPEAKER_01No, the answer is no, not for me, just because of where I am in life. And I would be asking you what Kendra G always asks, which is, why are you not with that baby mama? Okay. And there are reasons, right? People pass away, things happen, but a one-year-old, I think you need to heal. And concentrate on buying diapers and being a good parent and the things that are required when you have that young of a child, and that's not me.
SPEAKER_00Me personally. Me personally. What about you? I withdraw the second question. You withdraw? I think you have your answer, right? I I have my answer. There's no second part. Uh, my second part was uh do you think Ray J has children out there that um he doesn't know about with that high of a body count? Does Ray J have more than the children that he claims?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I mean, I again speculation is at twelve thousand five hundred, you probably know what you're doing and and hopefully using precautions because the answer normally would be yes, but these women are so scandalous that you can't I I just wouldn't believe that they wouldn't be coming forward more publicly to take advantage of that situation and take advantage of the situation with him. So I'm gonna go with no because he knows how to use precautions. Okay. Oh no. We shall see. Yeah, well, I hope we don't see, and I hope that he looks back at the story like, why did I do this? And his poor publicist. Oh he gotta be like, come on, man, now come on.
SPEAKER_00Now I gotta spin this. Oh well, best of luck to Ray J and family. Not in family.
SPEAKER_01Let's move on. Please. On a lighter note, please. And so another thing that is going around social media is extremely silly, but kind of fun. So there is a new collab between crops and Legos. The shoes and the and the toys? And the toys and the blocks, yes. Internet is acting up because they're have a new shoe collaboration. So Lego shoes that are crops. Do they look like Legos? Absolutely. What are we talking about? Absolutely. The ones I saw were bright red and look ridiculously crazy, but so much fun. Absolutely. Hold on. Children's shoes or adult shoes? Adults. The box is as big as my chest. So imagine what the shoes look like, and they are a true box, but they're crocs. Yes, chunky logo brick soles, yep, primary color straps. The ones I saw were red, and gibbets that look like actual mini bricks.
SPEAKER_00So when I worked in restaurants, my favorite shoes to wear were Crocs. They were so comfortable, you can stay on them all day long.
SPEAKER_01Nursing.
SPEAKER_00I already see dress code violations in our future.
SPEAKER_01You know, I work in HR.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you better get your policies together.
SPEAKER_00I already see it.
SPEAKER_01Become the Crocs. If you work at the children's hospital, like how fun would that be? That would be cute. That would be fun. Legos and crops, I just gave you a great idea. Give it to the nurses at the children's hospitals. How much fun would that be?
SPEAKER_00All right. Yes. We would like our check sent to uh P.O. Box.
SPEAKER_01But the average band, do not let me watch you walking down the street at an event, at a concert, at brunch, and no crocs, Legos, big red, blocked shoes. It's gonna happen.
unknownIt's gonna happen.
SPEAKER_01Nah. But I do appreciate that they want to be playful and bold. And these days, audacity wins. It does. Creativity wins. That's true. That is true.
SPEAKER_00I personally would not wear them.
SPEAKER_01No. But um if I gifted them to you, would you wear them? No. No, not even. No. Yeah. I mean, I feel like I'd be tripping. Where am I gonna wear them too? Well, I feel like I'd be tripping. I could barely walk as it is. Messing up my good knees. I want these knees in my 80s. I gotta put in extra work to wear heels as it is, let alone no arch in a block.
SPEAKER_00Right. I I can't see me wearing them. Even if they are gifted, I can't see me wearing them.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So that's gonna be a no. But a lot of fun. Best of luck. Legos.
SPEAKER_01Actually, I could see it being cuter for kids. Oh, of course. But the ones I saw were grown, like it was a grown man who tried them on. And they're they're cheap. I mean, I won't say cheap. They're like $150. So affordable that you could try it. And then they're gonna sit in your closet or they're gonna be on display and we're gonna move on and never see it again. What's your next story? Speaking of moving on. Speaking of moving on, but in sadder news, Spirit Airlines is saying bye-bye. Spirit Airlines, after more than 30 years, well more than 30 years, unfortunately, um, just couldn't make it in this economy. You know, you think about Spirit, they were known for super cheap flights, no frills, but you're gonna pay for that bag, you're gonna pay for that seat, you're gonna pay for that carry-on, you better not ask for no water. Yep, all that. Yes, but if you need to get to point A, point B, college students, uh, other people, you could travel really inexpensively and allowed people to see more of the world and get out there, you know, the way that they uh desired to do. So they uh were working through some solutions, but what it came down to unfortunately was gas prices. This economy is so crazy that they couldn't keep up with the gas prices. Even after finding a solution that would keep them, you know, running, uh, the gas prices just took them over. So here's the crazy part not only are they done, it's like immediate. Like people did know that it was coming, but I mean like effective today, normal flights, period. And they're saying, I don't know if this is true, but they're saying that if you use a debit card and other things, you may have to um get reimbursed differently, whereas a credit card you can file a claim. And so on the website it did say that they would be reimbursing people and other matters would be handled as part of the bankruptcy or collections, and so that tells me that they're gonna have a little trickiness in trying to figure out how do you manage people's money when it maybe isn't just a direct black and white refund. So sounds a little messy. People are stranded because they had flights, and uh what I do love though, the airlines are jumping in. They're saying if you're a flight attendant that was an X spot, yeah, we're gonna make things affordable and or help you to get home. That's awesome. And so to watch the other airlines come through and help to support them is great, but I think almost everybody has a spirit story.
SPEAKER_00I think everybody has a spirit story. Uh I am sad that spirit uh is closing. I remember getting from Richmond to Orlando or Richmond to Miami super cheap and being able to go home and see family because all I need is a book bag. Yeah, you know, once you get to where you're going, you got stuff, right? Or you can steal your sister's stuff. Um, but I just I remember how useful they were at times. Um, and I've actually taken um I took Spirit from Miami to Cancun or Fort Lauderdale to Cancun, and it was the cheapest flight, and it is is no frills. Yeah, no frills, but it was the cheapest flight, and it got me from point A to point B international, and that was really on point at that time. Um, but I was at the gate one time, and this man had the littlest roller bag that I've ever seen in my life. I swear it was like the size of, if you can imagine, like a briefcase with wheels. Tiniest thing ever. They go to put it in the bin, and the wheels are what had it not fit in the bin.
SPEAKER_01Because of the the configuration.
SPEAKER_00The configuration. So everything else fit, but it was too long because of the wheels. That man paid $70 for the tiniest roller bag I've ever seen in my life.
SPEAKER_01Oh, throw the bag away. Let me go get a Walmart bag and stuff that stuff in there.
SPEAKER_00Easily, easily got the Walmart bag and stuffed all his stuff in there.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00But they made him pay $70 at the gate because it did not fit in the bin. I'm like, y'all doing too much. That's why people in here fighting, because y'all doing too much. Y'all know y'all could have let that man go. You've got you've got to know. When you fly these non-frills airlines, you got to know. You cannot convince me that they couldn't have looked the other way on that little itty bitty bag. I bet his flight was $28. Seriously.
SPEAKER_01I bet his flight was $28.
SPEAKER_00It went from $28 to $98 instantly. And he was pissed. Of course he was. Now I've never seen like all the like the fights. I've never seen that. I've never seen that in person. I've seen it online. I've never seen it in person. But I've seen some people not happy about their bags. I haven't heard some hussin' and cussing, but like I mean, I got my purse stolen.
SPEAKER_01You have your purse stolen stolen? I I and I I normally don't share those type things because I want people to win. But in this- Oh, they break they bankruptcy. Oh yeah, they gone. So basically, I'm sitting in the big front seat because that's what I do anyway. Anyway, so I'm sitting in the seat and I'm distracted, and I get off the flight, I walk the jetway. I remember the story. I get to the gate, forget my purse. They tell me, no problem, you can't go back on, but we'll go back on. Again. I only got to the gate, not through security, not out the airport, not the next day. She lets everyone off. She goes back on the plane, can't find it. I said, ma'am, I know I have a purse. I know I had it on the flight. I just walked from the plane, the gangway to the gate. Where to go? And she could not find it, and she did her best, sent me down to Lost and Found. They went back and talked to the people and everything, could not find it. A week later, they give me a call to tell me they found my purse. Money's gone, gift cards are gone, credit cards are there, ideas there, junk in the purse is there, but not my cash and my my cards. I was hot. I was so hot that that was my last time flying spirit. So that was my spirit uh experience. On the same token, there were two positive experiences. So I remember our brother playing football for University of Um Central Florida, and one of the moms was able to go to every single game. And the way that she would do it is she would go to the counter and buy the tickets at the counter, which were like $15 to like $35. And she was able to fly all over the country and go to her son's games and support in person, her and her mother, because of the cheap flights. So that was a positive thing for them. And then the other story was when we were going to our grandfather's funeral and we were all trying to figure out how are we gonna fly, how are we gonna get there. It was last minute, obviously, and we were able to get super duper cheap flights, and it was because we um had spirit. So rest in peace, the spirit. Good luck to you. Good luck to your people, and may they all find great jobs in other places. On another note, did you see that girl going through TSA? Oh my god, yes! Chow? Yes, she said, if I can't have it, y'all can't have it. Yes, I couldn't tell what the bottle was. It looked like it was like patron-shaped, and I guess she thought she was gonna get it through security, TSA, and got there and nah, you can't take that big bottle through. Home girl chugged that bottle like it was college days. She just turned 21. Chugged it. Can you imagine how lit that flight was?
SPEAKER_00Uh I wonder how much was in the bottle. Because if it's if it's just a little bit in the bottle that she bucked it, okay, cool. You know, this is just a normal drink.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but she took a couple, a couple swigs, and she did one of those. You're reaching that limit of shots, and you like, ooh.
SPEAKER_00Uh yeah. Oh man. Um I'd have to say it was breast milk. Uh-uh.
SPEAKER_01In in the clear patron-looking bottle.
SPEAKER_00It's water for breast milk.
SPEAKER_01Hilarious. Hilarious. So either she was lit on that flight or she was sleepy and knocked out. Probably sleep. Probably sleep. Yeah. Yeah. That's hilarious. Hilarious.
SPEAKER_00So, yep, around social media. Well, I'll tell you, um, as much as we're gonna miss spirit in Florida, we're not gonna miss this what the Florida.
SPEAKER_01Oh boy. Come on, Florida. What you got for me today?
SPEAKER_00I don't understand how we get all of these crazies. Florida. But I'm gonna read this so you can hear it the way that I read it, because this is Florida. Okay, what the Florida. A Florida doctor faces manslaughter charges for allegedly removing the wrong organ during surgery. A grand jury indicted a doctor this week for allegedly removing a patient's liver instead of his spleen in a 2024 surgery. It resulted in catastrophic blood loss and the patient's death on the operating table.
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_00So he went in for a splenectomy. Lost the liver. And they took out the liver.
SPEAKER_01How does that happen? First of all, how does it happen because there are more than just a doctor in there? How does that happen? I don't know. Oh my what the Florida? Yeah. That's wild to me.
SPEAKER_00So he was licensed in Florida and Alabama. So when they took his Florida license, he voluntarily um surrendered his driver's license.
SPEAKER_01Surrendered any license. A driver's license, a doctor's license, a nurse's license, everything. DNA license. Everything must go. If you don't know the difference, everybody plays operation. You know what? I play operation. I know the difference between the clean and the liver. So it's not funny. The story's not funny. No, the story is not funny. But what in the world? What the Florida? How does that happen? I don't know how that happens. I can't even imagine. I cannot even imagine. And rest in peace is a patient. Of course. But yeah, I mean, you gotta go. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00You you you can't practice nothing. In jail. Well, he was indicted, so um was he impaired? I don't know. We don't have the details of the story. We just know that he removed the wrong organ.
SPEAKER_01Some professions can't make mistakes. No. And that's one of those professions where perfection over progress is so important.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_01My god.
SPEAKER_00I can't even imagine that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And imagine being the nurse in the room. Like, I hope that that person felt empowered to say, that's the wrong organ, dude. I mean, too late. Once it's out, it's out. Yeah, but golly. Well, don't let y'all be blocked and stopped from taking care of yourself. These are one in a million-ish type situations. But my god, how crazy is that? Florida.
SPEAKER_00What? Florida. Child, I we got so much madness going on in this episode. Because it continues. The chaos continues.
SPEAKER_01Well, let's keep it going to the next set of chaos, which is Meg the Stallion. Yes. I mean This is hard for me because really I I feel like Clay gave the good boy, want to be in a committed relationship vibes. And people are people, so I mean, relationships work, they don't, they don't work. But you know, I want to be in a relationship, meet my family. I'm a buttoned-up golfer, I'm a legend in basketball vibes, type of you know, seriousness. She obviously is here to have some fun, but very clearly wants to be in a committed relationship. Yes. Cook, clean, house onion rings, like that type of relationship. Loved being on social media, loved watching them on social media. I always thought they were like an unlikely pair. And so to find out that they ended is one thing because I mean people break up. People break up. I mean, I how many relationships have we had? And for me, one has worked, right? So people break up. It's not that, it's the cheating, the cheating allegations, and the cheating that just makes me want to throw up. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So she's getting a lot of pushback because she exposed that he cheated, and that's why they broke up. I'm happy she did that actually, because it is a warning to the next woman that he is a cheater. Like if you if you just say, Oh, we broke up and things didn't work out, you're letting him off the hook that he can just continue his bad behavior. Nobody knows that he's a cheater. But if you tell the world what he did, the next woman can think twice, like, okay, if this is his lifestyle, do I want to be in a relationship with him? Or can we just go have fun and not get serious? Right. But you're giving the next woman options to say, I do or do not want this type of relationship. But she's gotten a lot of backlash, and I don't understand it. It's what happened. We mad at the truth now.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we are. Because men, some men, let me say, are saying, Well, you put yourself out there and so I played with you because you play with yourself, right? How? Well, the music and the lifestyle and uh, you know, how she shows up. I don't agree by any means. Let me tell you something. If I had that body, yeah, I'd have my Meganese too.
SPEAKER_00I if I could rap and dance and look that great, I absolutely would show the world.
SPEAKER_01Well, it's a job. I mean, yeah, rappers come out here, shoe killed, do drugs, and talk about all the crazy stuff. It don't mean that I'm gonna go prosecute them in a court of law. Right. Um, at the same token, there are others who are showing up more positively. So you got the Ryan Clarks who are just saying, hey, time out, y'all. We're not gonna do this. Right. Yeah, and and having a different perspective, and then you got the Stephen A. Smith who knows just trash anyway. So I won't even I don't even bring him up because who's his girlfriend? Wife, girlfriend, doesn't matter. Who who who has he dated? Yeah, who who cares is is pretty much it. But you know, on a more positive note, like, you know, you want people to win. Yes, you are a public figure, yes, you put it out on social media, yes, people care, yes, people have opinions. I just hate when it gets to questioning womanhood, and rather than talking about what happened, we're talking about what did she do to cause it, and that just that just burns burns me up.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and I have said this before, and I will always say it. Be honest. Yeah, if you don't want to be in a committed relationship, give me the option to say, sure, let's both not be in a committed relationship or let's both get out of the relationship. That's so selfish to want it both ways.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, well, it sounds like he did say, I I really don't want to be in a monogamous relationship, but it may have been after the fact.
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay, and that that gives her the right to break up with him, and then the relationship is over.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00But the honesty part of it, you need to tell me that before you're out here cheating.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no, I agree. I agree.
SPEAKER_00Because is this a Ray J situation where it's 12,500? Or is this uh there's another woman that I'm interested in and I would like to pursue something with her.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and and I wish these, you know, people in industries like sports or acting or the things that get you a lot of attention, like I wish y'all would just be single. Amazing. Yes, you are in such a unique situation of so many beautiful people who desire you. And if you're at that stage of life where desire is what you're looking for, don't commit. I can I can understand that, and I can understand also that you want to be with someone consistently, but you can't have it both ways.
SPEAKER_00So here's my issue with that when you say that these people want companionship, something deeper than something surface level, right? If I see you and the only thing that I like about you is the fact that you're rich and famous and you don't care about getting to know me on a deeper level, all you want to do is sleep with me and spend my money, then how am I supposed to connect with you? So I'm gonna use you for what you want to be used for, right? For as long as I want. Right. But if I'm a person who desires to be in a committed relationship, you're telling me I can't be in a relationship because I'm around people who are good looking and are tempting.
SPEAKER_01No, I think yes, you deserve that if that's what you desire, but if you can't live up to it, a spade is a spade. So, yes, I desire to be in a committed relationship, but I also desire legs, breasts, and everything else, and therefore, it it's not hand in hand. So you you may have the motivations and intentions to want to do what's right, but if you can't do it like a normal person, then don't do it.
SPEAKER_00But do it, but be honest.
SPEAKER_01Well, that's what's missing.
SPEAKER_00But there are women out there who are okay with you, especially these days, doing what you want to do. So as long as you're telling the other person, I desire to be with you, I connected with you on a deeper level, and I feel like there's something here, and I want to explore the something here. But my past has always said, I have not committed in the past, I've cheated in the past, I cannot promise you that we're gonna be in a monogamous relationship. Are you okay with moving forward with me, knowing this is who I am? And give her the right to change her mind down the road. If she could say, you know, I'm cool with it now, but I may not be cool with it later, let's just see where it goes, then fine. If she says, no, I'm really not cool with that, leave her alone. That's the problem. And go to the next one.
SPEAKER_01The girls that they want clearly are not gonna be okay with it. Well, and therefore they're gonna try their hardest, which I think that they are trying. Like, I don't think he went into it saying, I'm gonna cheat on her immediately. No, but I do think he tried, but you knew that's what you wanted, so just say it. Or when it gets to the point where you're like, you know what, this isn't serving me and how I wanted it to, let me have an adult conversation with her and tell her what's up. Like, that's another avenue that you can take. But the reality is they think about what they're gonna lose versus what they need, and you end up hurting someone. That's true. Yeah, speaking of being hurt, so the per the person who people were speculating, neither of them said it. But NBA WNBA player Lexi Brown is who they were speculating about. So she's been outspoken around. I'm not messing with that man. Neither of them have come to her rescue, at least at this point, maybe they have now, but nobody has actually said, hey, pause. Ain't nobody been with her, and she is hot.
SPEAKER_00I'd be hot too. Don't do that to me. If if you heard somebody call my name and you know it's not true, you need to immediately say something. Y'all was real loose with the lips when it came to spilling the tea about your relationship. But now when it comes time to defend me, now she might be crying, like you know, not wolf, but what's it called? Crying crocodile tears, like it's not me, it's not me, and it might be her.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00But to this point, she is saying it is not her, right? So somebody needs to come out and say it it wasn't her. Don't don't let her be out here. She's getting death threats.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I know. When I heard death threats, I was like, okay, now, like, you know, rumors are always gonna happen. But when I think it's that serious, like she needs to speak up and say, hey, pause. I'm not I'm not getting into all this craziness. I'm not even gonna entertain y'all and your thoughts and the sister's thoughts or whatever. But this woman ain't done nothing. Like, we're not gonna be out here giving death threats. And and who was giving death threats? I don't know. How are you this invested into their relationship? That you think that it's appropriate to be so concerned over Megan that you're ready to go blow to blow and lose your job, your life. She don't know you.
SPEAKER_00You need to get a life. There are internet investigators at this point that the minute you say something crazy, they find out who you are and they take it to your house, they take it to your job. Like they're coming after you just as hard as you came after the people you were online trolling. So you better watch what you say online because people will come back and get you very quickly. Well, that's good. But to respond, I was invested in their relationship too. I don't think that's probably one of the ones I watched the closest. And you know, I don't really do like social media stuff. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I loved them. I know, I did too. Because they were so unlikely.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, but they work together, and I feel like she deserves somebody like him, like who we thought he was. I felt like she deserves somebody like that because not only has she been through a lot, but she's a sweet girl.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, she likes she appears to be a sweet girl. So who wants love and to have fun at the same time, exactly, yeah, and and is beautiful, sexy, confident, plus you know, everything else that we see.
SPEAKER_00Right. Um, so I am disappointed in this story. I'm disappointed that they're not together, but more power to her. The next will be the best for her. And I wish him the best in the kind of relationship that he wants. Yeah, and just be open.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Be honest. Whatever you want, I hope you get that. I hope you get a girl that says, you know what, you do your thing, I'll do my thing, we'll come together and we'll hang out when we want to. But I I can't see I'm glad that Megan said something and let the rest of us know what to be on the lookout for. And when I say us, I mean them. I mean them.
SPEAKER_01I wouldn't so speaking of Megan, like do you, but maybe date to discover versus dating for marriage or the commitment right now. Date to discover? Yes. So you think about grown folks right now, and being equally yoked is very important. Okay. You know, when I first was dating my husband, I was dating two guys at the same time. And I was very honest, and I needed to figure out what I wanted. And so I felt like I was dating to discover. I was out of bad, out fresh out of a bad relationship. Just wasn't good. We weren't equally yoked. It was fine. He was a little bit younger, and he was very younger, like making stupid decisions. And then here comes this man, and here comes past. And I'm like, okay, all right. So I decided that I'm gonna date multiple people. I'm gonna date to discover, discover what I want, discover what I need, discover me, and then hope that one of these two men ultimately can see me and show me wherever I thought I was going at that time. So I call that dating to discover, right? The difference really is yes, I wanted love, yes, I wanted marriage, but I wanted to make sure that I knew what I wanted and it made sense, and whoever I was going to commit to would have the same intentions as me. And so um that's how I treated it. I was discovering myself, I was healing, I was figuring things out, and I knew that with that clarity would come what next would look like. Now, shout out to my husband though, because he did not like me telling him very boldly that I was dating multiple people and that you kind of what my journey was, but I needed to be honest with him, and 15 years later, he knows locked that thing down, yeah, and has been intentional ever since because he was dating to be married and with clear intentions and with very clear communication with me around what he wanted, why he wanted it, and he showed up with that same intention. So his words match his actions, and I could see that pretty pretty pretty clearly.
SPEAKER_00So well, I would say it all truly depends on the age.
SPEAKER_01Yes, this is true. I was 30. He was 36.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And I think that's what makes the difference is when you're in your early 20s, uh dating for discovery absolutely works. It makes easy. Well, that's what I'm saying. Um when you get into your 40s, 50s, and and you know, I'm hearing about the men in their 60s, um I I would really hope that you know yourself and you've discovered what you want, what you don't want, lived past your mistakes, yeah, and and you're doing what you need to do. Dating for discovery in your 60s is wild.
SPEAKER_01Well, I mean, some people were married for a long time.
SPEAKER_00We're not talking about that.
SPEAKER_01I know, but but there are a lot of people who are in their second phase of life because they have lost a spouse through death or through divorce and are figuring things out. If you've been a single person for that long, I mean, I think that just kind of tells you. Like, I hope that one of your screening questions is have you ever been married before? Have you been in a sh a serious committed relationship before? Why didn't those work? Like, I I hope that women are asking those very appropriate questions and that tells you something. Discovery. Um But there is always a reason, and you know, again, not to psychoanalyze being in an HR, you gotta ask why five times before you get to the root of something. And so if you ask why and they give you an answer and you dig deeper, you get to the answer, or you're gonna see that they're full of it. So, yeah. So if you think about your relationships where you are now, like dating to be married, dating for discovery, like what do you think works?
SPEAKER_00I think at this point for me, uh, I think I'm just dating um to I'm not dating to be married, so I'll I would say dating for discovery, but more so discovery about them and not so much me. Like I know what I want and when I know what I don't want.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00I know very quickly after a couple of conversations if I'm gonna be interested in you or if I'm not gonna be interested in you. Right. And so I think my discovery is more so are you the right person for me? And uh if you're not, then we can keep it moving. I will be patient if that means that this doesn't happen for me, it doesn't happen for me, and I'm okay with that. Got me too. I'm just I appreciate that. I I don't want you to hold me a night, though.
SPEAKER_01No, I'm not gonna hold you okay. That's not even our our thing.
SPEAKER_00So I love you.
SPEAKER_01I love you so much, sister.
SPEAKER_00No, I I I don't know if this is uh gonna be for me, but I'm happy with the way that my life is going. Uh my birthday is coming. And then I've turned the big four four. I can't remember my tongue. That's all I got.
SPEAKER_01I can't remember my tongue.
SPEAKER_00Don't do that again. Um so big four four is coming up. I'm really excited. So we would have my party tonight. Got my girlfriends coming over, some moo moos and margaritas. Yeah. So I'm really excited about the way that life is going right now. So it's been fun. I just want to keep having fun. I'm not trying to add no drama to the mix.
SPEAKER_01Let's keep having fun. Let's see the world, let's travel, and maybe someone joins us along the way. We'll meet them where they are. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Love it. Well, sister, as much fun as this has been talking about my lack of love life, um, I want to get on to something that I do love, our drink for today. We have our um sangria. This is oldie but goody. Yes, it is classic. It is classic. So I haven't had this in forever. Yeah, so good. But because Cinco de Mayo is coming up and everything is BOGO, we had to take it back to the Real. I'm really excited about it.
SPEAKER_01Real?
SPEAKER_00Real.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I was like, I got that real sangria.
SPEAKER_00Call it what you want to call it. It's real. It's real, it's real. So yeah. So our real sangria. Sorry, sorry. Okay, so our uh sangria today, um, it's just your basic sangria. You can uh essentially soup it up if you want to. So just pour it straight from the bottle, or you can pour it into a jar, add fruit and a little bit of fruit juice to sweeten up if you want to, but I find that this is my favorite because they are good. So this is our real sangria.
SPEAKER_01Real sangria.
SPEAKER_00Cheers. Cheers. Yep. Always a classic. Is that it? That is it. That's it. Um, so my sister's salute today is to Beyond the Gates. Oh, all of the cast, all of the crew. Shout out. They have been renewed for two more seasons. So I'm super excited. The storylines have captured me. I just, I need them to figure out Haley at some point. Like, we got to get there. We we got to get there.
SPEAKER_01We got to figure her character, so they're gonna keep it going, but but you got to be discovered by the best lawyer.
SPEAKER_00The last lie she told, I'm like, he can't believe it. He can't believe it. He believes it, she's that good. Blonde about it, blonde about it. Come on, Bill, come on, Bill. No, I I love the storylines, I love the excellence, how regal everyone is, and everyone is successful, yes, and I appreciate the fact that they're showing excellence in every facet of every generation, and Anita with that gray hair. Yes, Anita, baby, yeah, and then they're selling the purses in real life. Love it. So there's so many great things that are coming out of that show that just showcase how beautiful and excellent we can be.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and I love them off camera. Their social media is so much fun. Yeah, that's what I love. Yeah, on top of watching them on camera, and just it's just a phenomenal group. So that's a great sister salute.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I think they're having a lot of fun, and we're having fun watching them. So my sister salute to Beyond the Gay. Beyond the Gay.
SPEAKER_01Two more seasons. Clink, clink, clink, clink, clink.
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm. Yep, that's a good one. And to the end of our episode. Wow 16 in the book. In the book. So to the sister who dared, to the sister who cared, to the sister who said yes to herself, we see you and we celebrate you and we salute you.
SPEAKER_01Love you sister, love you, sister.
