EPISODE 25: The Kids Are Offline, The Diarrhea Is Online, and The Sandwich Generation Is TIRED
This week on the Hello Sister Podcast with Tiff and Aunge, Tiff and Aunge take you Around the Social Media World, where the UK said “log off, babes” and banned social media for kids under 16, and The Game hopped online to declare that real men in love will date a single mom. (The timeline stayed messy, per usual.)
Then we slide straight into What the Florida?, where we shout out One Way Air of Tampa, the HVAC crew that fixes your A/C and drops dance videos, comedy sketches, and community collabs. Florida said “multi-hyphenate” and meant it. But in true Florida fashion, the news took a turn: a parasitic infection causing weeks of watery, explosive diarrhea are skyrocketing across the U.S. Listen… Florida never disappoints.
Next, we get real about The Sandwich Generation after Danny Glover revealed his battle with Alzheimer’s. Millennials, Xillenials, and Gen X are out here raising kids, caring for aging parents, climbing the corporate ladder, and still trying to remember to drink water. We ask the big question: Should the Sandwich Generation take a gap year from work to focus on life, family, and actually breathing?
In the Messy Minute, two viewer videos bring the heat:
• How far is too far when helping your ex-wife or baby mama?
• And a man calls off his wedding because his bride wouldn’t make his sister a bridesmaid. Was he wrong or was he right to stand ten toes down for sis?
We close with a powerful Sister Salute to Dystany Spurlock, the first black female NASCAR driver blazing trails and taking names.
If you’re ready for laughs, insight, chaos, and a little “did they really just say that?” then this episode is your whole personality for the day.
Tune in now and stay with us until the end, because the last segment might just change how you see your family, your boundaries, and your whole life.
Hello, sister. Hello, sister. Welcome to Hello Sister Podcast with Tiffan Ange, episode 25. Yes, 25. Yeah. We rollin'. Like you say. Like I said. We rollin'. Love it. Got a great episode for us. As usual. Yep, going to do a little bit of around social media. Of course, we have a what the Florida. Of course. And we're going to talk a little bit about being in the sandwich generation. And that's going to be an interesting one. Very much so. And then, of course, we have a messy minutes. And I'll end in the sister salute. You ready?
SPEAKER_00Let's do it.
SPEAKER_01All right. Let's talk a little bit about social media. Oh, gosh. Well, this one starting off is an interesting topic. So the UK is banning social media for children under 16 in 2027. Great. Spring 2027 is their date. They're modeling after Australia, and they're banning platforms like TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, YouTube, messaging apps, and anything that's considered high-risk gaming platforms, etc. Good. What they're saying is that they're going to use the age identification platforms, including uploading your IDs and using your credit cards to provide identity verification that you're of age for these platforms. And they're citing that this is due to mental health concerns, building anxiety, potential harm to kids and young adults. And they appear to actually have huge support in the UK as well. That's great. So uh again, uh implementing it after Australia who implemented already something similar. Yeah. So do you think this is needed in the United States?
SPEAKER_00Absolutely. There's one of the things that we always worry about as parents is cyberbullying.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And you don't know what other people are saying to your children. And it's also a means of uh predators getting in in with our children. I don't know how many stories I've seen where uh predators have met uh a child online, presuming the identity of a kid. Yeah. And then they take them across straight state lines and you find them somewhere else. Or you don't find them.
SPEAKER_01Right, exactly.
SPEAKER_00So I think that helps at least. Um it also parents aren't monitoring their kids online. So their kids have free range to talk to strangers, and and some of these adults are wild. Yeah, the things that they say to these kids while they're gaming is wild. Yeah. And our children don't need to hear talk like that at any age. Yeah, no, I will admit I was a cussing teenager.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00But the way that they talk to these kids, nobody ever talked to me like that. Right. So I think it's dangerous. And at 16, you and under, like what do you get out get outside.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Go out and play. Well, that's part of the issue is the kids don't go outside no more. Right. I mean, and it doesn't feel like we feel like it's safe to go outside. And maybe it's because of what happened to us, right? So if I think about it. What happened to us? Well, I mean, we used to go outside and we would be gone forever. Yeah, our parents knew no clue where we were. We didn't have cell phones. We literally did what we wanted to do for hours. They had no clue. So we knew what we did. Yes. And we're not letting our kids just have that exact same free reign. I think I think that's part of the issue. Now, can we go out? No, I ain't tell I ain't telling no business. No, thank you. You're welcome. But can we go outside? Yes. Can you have a controlled way of taking your kids outside? Yes. We have to figure something out that allows them more than organized extracurricular activities to give them an outside experience versus being in the tablets, being in the TV, being on the gaming. Like there has to be something more. They're missing out on developing just those initial social skills on top of it, too.
SPEAKER_00Well, I will say I don't think it'll ever happen here.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Because America claims to be the land of the free and we can do what we want to do.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So I I don't think we'll ever have that restriction here. I would love it, but I'm a parent. I get to tell you when you get a cell phone. Right. I get to tell you when you use it. Right. And so for me, it's about parenting. Yeah. So at this point, I don't need to wait for a law. I'ma do what I want to do with my children, period. But I do applaud the UK for putting in more constraints because the internet is dangerous.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Well, it's not a game, and they clearly understand that life isn't a game, and we're not going to do that. Yeah, I love it. Yeah. Well, speaking of game. Oh, game. Changing the subject totally. The game. The game. Yes. The game. So I'm scrolling around social media and the game is on a podcast, and he's talking about do single men actually want to date women with kids? Oh. I thought this was a very interesting topic. Mm-hmm. Because these days, men kind of have the pick of the litter.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You know, they run the world in the sense of they control when we're in a relationship, when we're not in a relationship, when we get chosen, when we don't get chosen. So he said uh that he was asked, would you date a single mom? And he talked about in his circle, some are married, some are not, most are successful. And in his circle, he had just had a conversation with his crew. And if you, if he falls for you, he doesn't care if you have kids. I mean plural kids. Kids. He said we can be the Brady Bunch. The Brady Bunny. But for you, I don't care how many kids you got. He said what's attractive to him is women who have it together and are taking care of their own business, so they're not looking for something, but their situation has them with multiple kids.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_01That is not a determinant for him. He said we can be the Brady Bunch. Having kids is absolutely not a turnoff for him and his circle. And his circle. And his circle. So this wasn't just a him feeling. It's him and the people that he hang around as well.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Now, granted, we get into a bigger age. So everybody got kids these days. Well, that's true. That's but how mature of him to say that. Absolutely. Now, he says a good woman who was taking care of herself and her kids. Kids are not a jailbreaker, period.
SPEAKER_00Okay. What do you think? I I can't tell you from the male's perspective. Um, but I'm a woman with kids. I would hope that somebody would choose me. Girl, you a catch. I am a catch. Wow. Uh but um I'm very cautious. Yeah. Now that I do have children, I'm not gonna just go around kissing a bunch of frogs to see who's my prince. But I I love the fact that the game is open and he's saying that uh being a single mom isn't a deterrent. The guys online are screaming out, I don't want to date a single mom. Uh, what was that thing we watched the other day where the guy said, I'm dating the mom and I'm not dating the kids. How do you feel about a man who says, I want the woman, not the children?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, well, I think a whole nother show topic that we need to talk about is uh dating to be married or not. Because some people are just dating for companionship and to have fun. Other people are dating from marriage. If you're dating from marriage, it's a full picture. Yes. If you're not dating from marriage, then you can find some fool that just says, I want you and and not your kids. Right. So, but we'll talk about that later.
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay, we'll talk about it later. No, I I love the game. Um, I like to back when you're doing music, so uh, but it just makes me respect him a lot more to say that um I will step up to the plate, uh, even if there's a dad in the picture, I will step up to the plate and be there for you and your children because I want you and I care for you.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, well, women tend to do that anyway. Well, I'm a package chill. Yeah. I mean, women tend to date and have always felt okay to date men with kids. Oh, okay. And step into the role of stepmom or girlfriend. Like that's that's just natural than what we what we've done. But these days it's a question on will men be willing to do that? And I think at our big age, uh, we'll see more I won't say acquiescing, it's just normal life.
SPEAKER_00So how old is how old do you think men are saying they'll date single moms? I don't think. Like at what age do you stop dating a single mom with like are you 60 years old and you're like, no, I'm not dating you because you have a two-year-old? You know what I mean? Like what I would hope so. What what's the age?
SPEAKER_01I don't know. Like, I don't know. If you'd asked me, you know, 10 years ago, I probably would have said 40, because at 40 you would want to be living your life and doing more things for you. But I'm 45 about to be a mom. Right. So as part of that, it is a little crazy for me to be thinking anything other than I'm getting ready to have a kid. So I don't know. I don't I don't know what people would do these days. And I think because our generation waited so long to have children in general, age maybe doesn't seem the same.
SPEAKER_00Or are still having children.
SPEAKER_01Girl, I had I have a line sister who has uh a one-year-old. I also have a friend that we went to high school and middle school with who is pregnant this very second. Exactly. This very second. And I don't know how old her older kids are, but they're older. So we're in this weird generation of people who are still having children. Yeah. Crazy. Wow.
SPEAKER_00Well, thank you, the gang, for such an enlightening conversation. Love it. Thank you very much. Uh let's bring it from LA to Florida. Oh Lord, here we go. Yes. What the Florida. But before I begin my what the Florida, yeah, there is an air conditioning coming. Let me get this right. Um, One Way Air of Tampa. Have you seen their videos?
SPEAKER_01Of course I have.
SPEAKER_00They dance, they do these like skits. It's absolutely hilarious. I've seen them do everything but air conditioning.
SPEAKER_01I've never seen them do anything with work. It's always the entertainment and having fun in Florida.
SPEAKER_00Well, you always gotta have a side hustle. Of course. So if the shop is, yeah, if the shop is short, we got these skits and we will go viral on social media. They're hilarious.
SPEAKER_01And I love that not only do they do it, but everyone is doing it. So you got the younger person and the old person.
SPEAKER_00On beat and off.
SPEAKER_01On and off beat, having a good time. They're hilarious. They are hilarious. That's funny. Shout out to them. Yes, that's the Tampa. Of course it's Tampa.
SPEAKER_00That's the fun side of Florida, but I have a what the Florida. Okay. And this joker is wild and it affects all of us. Oh, fun. So I'm going to uh I want you to hear this the way that I read it, because what the Florida. Okay, here we go. Cases of a parasitic infection that can cause weeks of watery diarrhea called clotospora are starting to skyrocket across the U.S. Cases began in South Florida and are now spreading across the state, according to national and local health officials. Here we go. According to the CDC, cyclospora is a microscopic parasite that commonly causes watery diarrhea with frequent and sometimes explosive bowel movements. Oh my gosh. The cause or causes of the recent rise in cases hasn't been determined. However, it is said that the previous outbreaks in the US and Canada were leaked to a bat linked to bagged salad mixes. Again. Fresh cilantro, fresh basil, raspberries, snow peas, and scallions. Because of that, health officials are urging people to wash all fruits and vegetables under running water before cutting or cooking or eating them. And Florida is hit. And Florida is hit.
SPEAKER_01I just saw something with my old company, hospital I used to work for, doing an interview in Hillsborough. So I know it's close to home.
SPEAKER_00Absolutely take it.
SPEAKER_01And Florida is a nasty stimulus. Nobody believed in COVID. Nope. Now we got a booty virus. A booty virus? That we gotta do with a booty virus.
SPEAKER_00That we gotta do with it.
SPEAKER_01No, this is what we gotta be doing. Yeah, the booty virus. I'm walking into a grocery store and this woman does an air cough that is nasty. A raw cough? A raw cough in the air, no cover mouth. We nasty here. That's so gross. I know. So here comes the booty virus.
SPEAKER_00The booty virus?
SPEAKER_01I don't know how it spreads, but people don't wash their hands. They don't hand sanitize. They don't believe in these things that are you know told to us by the CDC. And here we go again. Yeah, well, this one is from the food. Yeah, but the lady coughed the air spread because she touches things. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. We don't know. So it comes from fecal matter. Right. And then like I don't wipe good and I go to the grocery store and I'm touching everything. That could be it. Right? I get on an airplane and I I touch the handrails and the seats next to the city. You know what I'm saying? Like just like that, we got COVID all over again.
SPEAKER_00Well, this is not COVID. This is a booty virus. No. It's a booty virus. Um please. Almost to diarrhea. Oh gosh.
SPEAKER_01And what does that even mean?
SPEAKER_00You don't make it. Oh splat, slap, splat, splat.
SPEAKER_01Oh gosh. Yeah. Okay. I can't with this what the florida. For weeks. I I can't with the weeks. For weeks. For weeks. That sounded like weight loss. What the florida? You're crazy.
SPEAKER_00Okay, just juggle.
SPEAKER_01Hopefully everyone is safe. Hopefully people aren't dying from this. Are they dying?
SPEAKER_00No, they haven't really had reported cases of anyone dying. People are getting extremely sick, and there's vulnerable populations, the elderly, young people, pregnant women. So there are vulnerable populations that should be aware, but it's not uh something that anybody has died from yet.
SPEAKER_01What the Florida?
SPEAKER_00But wash the vegetables. All right, booty bars. Please, please move on. Please. I can't with you. You got the next one. Oh my gosh. Well, speaking of elderly children and pregnant women, we have uh been called the sandwich generation. So th are those who have uh young children at home and then they also have aging parents and the need for people to care for each other or for this generation to care for both the elderly and the young people, it's very stressful. Yeah. And so understanding that we are the sandwich generation, I saw an article about Danny Glover. Yeah, and he says that he has been suffering from Alzheimer's, which you know only gets worse. It does. And so horrible. When I think about his situation and I think about our parents aging, Danny Glover, at least the weapon, uh missed it. Well missed it, but you know, how does this action figure, this guy who has this range of emotions, now not be in control of his own? Yeah, Bruce Willis. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, and so think about even Bruce Willis. His children have done a phenomenal job of caring for him. And so thinking about their situations, it got me thinking about us being in the sandwich generation. And we are, and we we are. I have young children at home, and I do have to think about getting them to school, you know, while I'm working. Before school care, after school care, we have our night routines. There's things that demand full-time attention. But then you add an aging parent or you add a sick parent in there, and you're still responsible for all of the things that you were supposed to do with your children, in addition to all the things that you have to do for your parents. And sometimes the parents live with you, sometimes they don't. We have multiple multiple generations living under the same roof. And this is for me very hits very close to home thinking about what I'm doing now and and how I'm caring for both sets of generations. Yeah, when are we concentrating on ourselves? That's a great question.
SPEAKER_01We're not.
SPEAKER_00We're not, not at all. And it feels like we're constantly in survival mode and we're not checking for our own emotions and our own needs. I don't know how many times I've been doing something and and I get a hunger pang, and I'm like, am I hungry? What did I eat today? And it's because I'm pouring out so much energy into other people and pouring out so much energy into the needs of the people who are most vulnerable that I forgot about myself.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00There's so many of us that are doing that right now.
SPEAKER_01Oh my gosh. I mean, we talked previously about the great millennial burnout. Like this is exactly it. This is exactly why I made some changes with my own career. Is people say you can have it all. I don't believe it. You can't have it all. You can have it all at a cost.
SPEAKER_00It there is a severe cost. You cannot have it all. You you can at a cost. Yeah, you can pay for that nanny, you can pay for the housekeeper, you can pay for it or for your health, yeah, or your sanity, or your burnout.
SPEAKER_01Yes, I mean that is precisely why I needed to make a change. I was burned out at work. I'm starting a family. Yeah, I want my family to have the best of me. If I have an hour commute, I work 10 hours plus a day, and an hour commute home, I have nothing to give to you. I have nothing to give to my husband. I have nothing to give to myself. Granted, I prepared so I could have a season of myself doing my own entrepreneurial setup and then moving on to something different. But what do you do if you can't? You're burned out. You gotta figure out a way to take care of yourself because we are in the sandwich generation taking care of parents and children, maybe even grandkids in some cases as well.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I actually have a friend who's a grandparent and an active grandparent and has a mother. That's four generations. Crazy.
SPEAKER_00That is absolutely wild. Millennial. Absolutely wow. Yeah. I I think she's gen X though. No, I'm talking about my age. She she graduated in class 99. Why do we have to have this debate again? She's probably Gen X.
SPEAKER_01Can we say Xennials? Zillennials. Zillennials. Can we just say Xillennials?
SPEAKER_00Sure.
SPEAKER_01Okay, because I'm not going to debate you. You are a millennial.
SPEAKER_00I have Gen X.
SPEAKER_01You are not Gen X. You're the Zennials. Zillennial. Zillennial. With Gen X. Yes. That. But no, you're absolutely right. And it's it's a scary thing, but if we can't do anything else other than to tell you to take care of yourself, whether that's a five-minute walk, a breather, a moment to yourself, or to do something that gives you a chance to recuperate because the the world's asking so much of us, and it's easy to succumb from that, and that's not what we need.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Do you believe, and this is what you're doing right now, do you believe in a midlife gap year? Uh I'm trying it.
SPEAKER_01I'll let y'all know how it goes because I am in a gap year. Yeah. At first I was like, am I having a midlife crisis? Is this a crisis that I'm doing? It's not a crisis. No, it is a self-reflection pause. And I'm gonna call it a millennial.
SPEAKER_00I love that. Yeah. Well, that's what we do. We climb the corporate ladder, we get to a place where we want to go. We've scraped scraped and saved. Yep. And now why not take the best of that? And like why wait until your retirement? Why not take a gap year? Yeah.
SPEAKER_01If you can. I mean, you gotta plan for this. Yes. Like, I'm not in some crazy position that I was like, oh, you know, on a whim, I'm just doing this.
SPEAKER_00Like you gotta be able to take care of your bills and things like that.
SPEAKER_01I'm tapping into some savings that came from discretionary bonuses that I've gotten that allows me to take a break. Right. And I'm taking that break. I'm gonna try for it to not be a year though. But we'll see.
SPEAKER_00Well, I mean, for most people, you can't take forever off unless you're doing something else. Which I would say. So you should always have some kind of side household.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00However, if you want to go back to work, if you're not a person who wants to do social media, you're not a person who wants to start a business, a gap year sounds fantastic.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I'll let you know how it goes. I can tell you, one month in, I feel like it's the best decision I've ever made. Yeah. And the good news is I'm an HR. I have skills. Right. If I have to go back and work in corporate, I can. But my goal is in these next couple months to set myself up so that I can be making some money and be living in a safe spot. Yep. From a appropriate standard that allows me to not have to go back to corporate if I don't have to. I love it. At least for a couple years. And it's hard. I'm about to start a family. Come on.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I can tell you firsthand being a mom and trying to be a good employee at the same time doesn't always work. Yeah. Something suffers. So going into this next season, you're doing it right. You're able to give them uh everything that they need from you, and then moving on, you can figure it out from there. But I'm proud of you, sister.
SPEAKER_01Thank you, sister.
SPEAKER_02Welcome up you, sister.
SPEAKER_01Well, speaking of yes. So moving on to our messy minute. Oh, child. Little messy today. Still talking about families, but not your family. So a question that we got, and just to preface that messy minute means someone has sent us something on social media, a comment, a DM. Sometimes we get text messages, sometimes people are sending things to us. So this question is how far is too far in an effort to help your ex or baby mama? So that's what you're doing. Yes, meaning that you are not with this person anymore, man or woman, and they're asking you to do things to help them, not the kids. And where is it they're aligned to where it feels like you are maybe overextending baby mama or ex-wife's or ex-husband's status?
SPEAKER_00So this came from a video that we received of a uh baby daddy helping his baby mama move. And so the new wife came through and said, She got a husband. Why are you here helping her move? And he said, My kids are going to live here. I'm helping my kids move. And so that is a great question of how far are you gonna go in an effort to help your baby mama? In this instance, I believe he was helping the kids. Now, I have a good enough relationship with my ex that I would hope I can call him and have him help me move. Um, and if he called and asked me to help him move, I'm nosy enough to go help. Yeah, you know what? I want to know where my kids will be living. So if he asks, absolutely I'll take a tour, open some cabinet, everything. I want to see, let me help you unpack. Yeah. Um, but if I received resistance from my new partner, I would likely help in the sense that I would send movers, but I wouldn't go myself.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So it your boundary is when it makes your uh current situation, spouse or relationship uh feel uncomfortable. Yes.
SPEAKER_00And it's a conversation. Hey, my ex hit me, asked me, could I help move? How do you feel about that? And if he said, I don't like it, I'm okay, I'll send some movers to help. All good. But if he said, let's go move, we all go in the move.
SPEAKER_01Interesting. I mean, I don't really have any preference because I'm not moving myself, so why would I go help you move? But in other situations, so uh I mean I guess I would agree with you. It is as comfortable as my partner is, and I probably would be asking him to come too. So there wouldn't it depends on the person. If this is a cheater or something else coming on, like you obviously would know your boundaries and you would know is this appropriate or is he trying to get away with something. Right. Some people don't move on from their exes or baby mamas, and that's part of the issue.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I heard a story of an ex. Every time his ex called, he dropped everything and went running over there.
SPEAKER_01Oh no. You don't nobody even does that for you, right?
SPEAKER_00Alone for your ex. And that was like wild to me. Like they'd be in the middle of date night. They'd be watching a movie, they would be doing anything. As soon as the phone rang, he would say, Oh, I gotta go help her. It's for the kids. Everything was for the kids. It this time out at night, this for the kids.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, nah. And now we got FaceTime. Let me see them. Let me see them. Let me see that they're bleeding on the floor. Because that's the only reason you're leaving me is they bleed on the floor. You want to see it first. I need to see the blood. Let me see that the finger cut off. And then I'll come running. Otherwise, no. No, no, no. We can go. No, we. Girl, where you go.
SPEAKER_00Oh no. The kids, let's go. Yeah. We. We going.
SPEAKER_01I like it. Yeah. That's funny. Yes. Well, another messy minute. Yes. That was a good one. Another messy minute we got was another video. We were sent a video of J Hud Show topic where the husband called off the wedding because his bride refused to add his sister to the bridal party as a bridesmaid. Crazy. So should the bride be required to include the groom's preferences or vice versa? If if I have a male best friend, should the groom be required to add my male best friend to his party? What do you think? So, sister, yes. What?
SPEAKER_00You think you're obligated to add them? Yes. If your husband, future husband, asks to have his sister included in the bridal party, yes. You should include the sister.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00Family. Family. Your male best friend, absolutely not. He is not obligated to add your male best friend. The same way you're not obligated to add his female best friend. But family. Family, yes. My brother was a groomsman in my wedding. Yeah. His sisters were bridesmaids in my wedding. Yeah. So on in my party. I had no problem with it. I thought it was uh beautiful to include them. Would I I have on my own? Nah. Yeah. But the fact that they're his family, yes.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Uh and they look beautiful. They did.
SPEAKER_01Yes. And for me, it's you can't start off being too fickle.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Like you gotta pick your battles. And in marriage, like there are some days I'll be walking over size 15 shoes and I'd be like, what in the world? And I just pick them up and move them. Because why am I gonna argue about them? Right. Other times, you you argue. So if you're starting off and you can't even agree on one person who's gonna be there anyway, who's already a plate that you're paying for. Already a plate. Yeah, we're gonna have some trouble. But you call off the whole thing. I think that's the thing. So I think him calling off the wedding, this gave him an easy out. Yeah. There had to have been more issues. There had to have been other things that are going on to where he was like, you know, like this, this is this is just it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that may have been the final straw, but there's no way a man is calling off a wedding because you won't include his sister. Yeah. Either he didn't want to marry her in the first place, he was like, Yes, I'm out. I'm out. Or uh that was the final straw. Like he was like, I can't take this anymore. You don't consider me, you know, I'm done.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00But glad he did it before. Well, thank you.
SPEAKER_01Because why even go through with it? If you have any hesitations, marriage ain't it. Because I can tell you, when you get in there and it is the good and the bad, you got to want to be there. And there's some days that you may not want to. So if you already have hesitations, you give it some more time. Yeah. Or or don't.
SPEAKER_00Or don't. Well, last week we talked about red flags.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So that may have been the final red flag. Red flag.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm. There had to have been more to it though. I definitely think that show topic came from something else that we weren't told. Mm-hmm. Yeah. For sure. Well, I am moving towards the end. You are. We are. Before I get into my sister's salute, I do have a drink today. Yes. Tell us about this not drink. Yes. Well, okay. First of all, it is a mocktail. And it's a mocktail because I had a tooth extracted. And I can, I'm now at the point where I can drink sodas, but I cannot drink alcohol. Yes. So I support you, sister. Thank you. Not everything has to be a drink drink, even though that would have been my drink of choice. Yes. But today we have a mocktail. Yeah. So let's do it. So today is a bubbly Bellini Bliss mock tail. It includes a Bellini Bliss bubbly. Bellini Bliss, okay. That's the flavor. And the flavors are peach, pineapple, and mango flavored sparkling water. I added just a little bit of simply peach juice just to give it a little bit more flavor. And also, it's melted now, but I did have um peach juice ice. Oh so a little bit of flavor, a little bit of color, and the highlight of the drink is the Bellini Bliss Bubbly. So sister, and because I don't do anything regular, a little strawberry. Of course not. Adorable. I love it. Cheers.
SPEAKER_00Cheers, sister.
SPEAKER_01Tell me that ain't good.
SPEAKER_00Delicious.
SPEAKER_01Tell me that ain't good.
SPEAKER_00Oh, I'm so proud of you.
SPEAKER_01Refreshing for the summer.
SPEAKER_00It is very refreshing for the summer. I'm gonna add a little something to it later. But it's good. I like the flavor of it.
SPEAKER_01Yes, bellinis are awesome. I mean, well, uh, bubbly's are awesome, but bellini bliss, like they did that one.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_01And they have so many more flavors too.
SPEAKER_00Love that.
SPEAKER_01I'll have to try some of the other flavors too. Yes, I'll put you on. Thank you, Bubbly. So, with that, I have my sister salute.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_01I love this one.
SPEAKER_02Oh.
SPEAKER_01Alright, so my sister's salute is to Destiny Spurlop. Have you heard of her?
SPEAKER_02I did.
SPEAKER_01Yes, she is a trail-blazing motorsports racer recognized as the first black woman to compete in NASCAR. A little bit about her. Her passion for NASCAR began with her grandfather, uh, who introduced her to the sport, helped inspire her dream. She started her career off in drag racing and steadily building up her skills, and then really trying to show that she belonged in motorsports. Uh, she was on the Breakfast Club at one point and she spoke about perseverance, the challenges of breaking into this industry and staying focused on what she loves and surrounding herself with people who support her career and pushing her to making her hard work her superpower. Oh my gosh. Yes. So Destiny was not born into NASCAR. She does not have the financial advantages that a lot of those people have. She truly has the skill, the motivation, the desire, and the dreams to succeed. So shout out to Miss Destiny Spurlock for doing her thing, for inspiring little girls, not just black girls, but girls in this hard to get into industry, and she's doing it beautifully.
SPEAKER_00I love that.
SPEAKER_01Shout out to you, Miss Destiny.
SPEAKER_00Shout out, Destiny. Yay! Cheers.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm. Yep. No drinking and driving, so we have a mock tail that goes in line with that too. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Adorable. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Well, sister, it's the end. It is the end. So it's time for us to say goodbye, just like that. So to the sister who dared, to the sister who cared, to the sister who said yes to herself, we see you, we celebrate you, and we salute you. Cheers. Clink, clink, clink, clink, clink. Love you, sister. Love you, sister. Yes. All right. That's it.
