Can we just close our eyes for a second as we're seated? And can we just worship him for a moment here as we're transitioning into the word? We're so glad that you're here with us today, but let's just not leave the this moment for a second. Let's just if we can close our eyes, if you're still loving on the Lord and you and you want to lift your hands, just worship him for a moment. Father, we're so thankful for your presence that is here this morning, God. And these songs, God, they they talk about the heart of worship. They talk about what worship truly is, God. And this morning we're crying out to you, Father God, because we want to worship you in spirit and truth, Father. We want the real you. We don't want a manufactured version of church or of you, Father, but we want the real, authentic, heavenly Father who loved us so much, he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life. Father, we know that you have an unconditional love for us. And so, God, I pray that we would seek our hearts to get today, God. We would, we would bring our hearts before you. And Father God, we would ask for you to search our hearts, God, and help us remove anything that's not of you today, God. Father, we want to ask for your will to be done in our lives and in our hearts and in this church today, Father God. And we're just so grateful that your presence is here. We're so grateful where two or three are gathered together. You're there in the midst that you inhabit the praises of your people, Father. We thank you and we praise you in the mighty name of Jesus. And the church said, Amen. Can we give the Lord another hand clap of praise today? Amen. We're so glad to see you today, church, and look at your neighbor and just give them a big smile and say good morning to them. Maybe you forgot to say good morning this morning. We're just so glad that you're here. So thankful for our church. I'm thankful that we get to do this. And today, Mark's, uh, we're celebrating one year since we have been pastors here at Family Worship Center. And amen. And we're just so excited about all the things that God has done, and we're wanting to talk about a few of those things and looking back at the last 12 months, but also looking ahead for what God is going to continue to do. Amen. And so we're just so excited about that. Um, the first year of being a lead pastor of the church, being the main guy, there have been times that I felt like I was in over my head. There have been times when I thought, God, why did you choose me to do this? There's been times without a doubt, I knew that we had seen the hand of God move and that he was doing incredible things in this church and in our lives. And it it was undeniable. And so since the beginning, I've told everyone that I don't know what I'm doing. I'm just trying my best not to mess up what God wants to do. And so after a year of being uh pastors, uh, we've learned some things and we've learned that God is in control. Amen. Sometimes He moves quickly, and sometimes He moves slowly and wisely. And I've learned that you can you can't build a church without people, and people are opinionated, but mostly just want to be heard. And I've learned that I don't know everything, but God does, amen. Somebody, come on. And I've learned not to worry about the little things because God's gonna make it all work together for his good, amen. And so I stand up here today to celebrate, to give God all the glory for all that he has done in the last year. And I promise I have a specific message that's I feel is powerful and that he's given for such a time as this. But before we do that, we have to celebrate a little bit more of what God has done in the last year. And so I promise I will get to this message, but first I have to brag on God. Can we brag on God this morning? Is that okay? Last summer we were able to send 65 students to summer camp. Amen. And so a lot of that was because of you, because of sponsorships. We were able to send that many kids, and then this last 12 months, we have water baptized 67 people in the last year. Amen. Amen. And with kids and youth on Wednesday nights, there's been times that we've had 120 students on a Wednesday night, just kids and youth in the back. And so God has been doing incredible things with so many different great events and trips and ladies' retreats and family Sunday. We had our fall festival and we had wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas services and New Year's. We've had great communion, powerful communion services. We've had uh healings within our church, and and we've had Vision Sunday, and and we had our first ever Good Friday communion service, and that was such a powerful time and overflowing with visitors and crowds and people and people coming back to God's house and and people recommitting their lives to Him. And we had the concert with the sound that was here a couple weeks ago, and a lot of us were blessed by that. And of course, Pastor Jeremy mentioned it, but last Sunday we had 32 people get baptized. Can we celebrate that for a second? Amen. And I was telling my wife, and this is not including Wednesday nights with kids or with youth, but just on Sunday mornings, the last month, we have seen 43 people raise their hand and say, I want to accept Christ into my life. 43 people. And so that's powerful and that's incredible. And there's been many more things than just that. We had our food drive in November. We have helped so many people with benevolence. If that's paying for electric or groceries or doctor's bills, or whatever you might think of there that might be needed by somebody. Um, we got a new parking lot. Hallelujah. Uh we fixed our gym roof and we freshly painted the foyer, and uh we have our new TVs and projector, and we fix toilets and bathrooms and air conditioner units. Come on, somebody, are we not excited about what God's doing? It's all because of Him. And on Easter, we just announced that we have new youth pastors, and it doesn't just stop there. We're looking and praying about starting uh a new believers group on Sunday morning so those who are getting saved can have a class environment to go to and and to learn the basics of being a Christian, a follower of Christ. We're praying and talking to people about starting a freedom group, which is kind of like a celebrate recovery, but for anybody needing freedom over things in their life. And so not only are we celebrating the last 12 months, but we're celebrating because God is giving us provision for the next 12 months. Amen. And so we have something to celebrate, we have something to rejoice in this morning. So don't just sit back and think, oh, this is another Sunday that we're just going through the motions. No, every Sunday is a Sunday that we can show up, we can be excited, we can celebrate that we serve a risen king and he is active and moving and living through his Holy Spirit in our everyday life. Amen. And so we're so excited about these things that God is doing. Someone said, Well, we're celebrating our pastors being here one year. And I said, No, we're celebrating what God has done in the last year. Because I don't want it to be about us or me. I want it to be all about Him. Amen. So to God be all the glory for these things. And you might say, Well, what else can we do? We've done so many things. There's all these things going on. Someone said, Man, if I was following you around, I'd be exhausted trying to follow you around and doing all the things you're doing. But God wants to do even more. Look at your neighbor and say, even more. And so we're gonna be talking about this more in the weeks to come, but we're we're going to start receiving an offering on the first Sunday of every month, kind of like we used to do with the with the parking lot. But instead, we're going to be using some of those funds to help refresh the church and buy new equipment and new paint and doing different things. We have vans out there that pick up kids on Wednesday nights that need oil changes and new tires. We have different things going on around the church. And it doesn't just end here. We have to continue to move forward. Amen. We have to continue to better the church. And as the church grows, yeah, we have to continue to move forward in that and continue to update and do the things that we need to do. And so we're going to be talking about it next week, but we're going to that first Sunday of every month, we're going to receive an offering. We're going to call it Heart for the House. Look at your neighbor and say, Heart for the House. And it's specifically named that because it's going to be our offering that's going towards helping refresh and take care of all these things right here at Family Worship Center. Okay. It's not going towards any pastor or person on staff or anything like that. It's going straight towards refreshing the things and areas that we need here at the church. How many of you know we still have a parking problem out there because there's nowhere to park? We've filled up all the spaces. Amen. And so we there's different things like that that we're going to be talking about and we're going to be looking at. And me and the board are going to be meeting and talking about ideas, and then we're going to bring it to you. And so we have a lot to celebrate, but how many of you know the best is yet to come? Amen? And so we're so excited. We're so grateful for you today. And I know, you know, it's God's heart for this house to continue to move forward. I know sometimes when things change, that it stirs us up, sometimes in a good way, sometimes in a bad way. Okay. But God is doing all these incredible things, and I want to be a part of what He's doing. Amen. And so we're going to continue to celebrate that. Can we just put our hands together one more time and just give God glory for that? Amen. Now I want to pray because I do have a specific message that God put on my heart last week while I was talking to a friend on the phone and I said these words, and God just said, stop right there, pause right there. And these words just kept flowing through my spirit, through my heart. And so we're going to pray, but today we're going to be talking about heart over hype. Heart over hype. So let's pray. Father, I'm so glad that you have blessed us and given us an opportunity to be in your house, to come together with your people. God, I pray that I would get out of the way this morning, Father, and that you would just use me as an instrument to speak through me, to speak to this congregation, to speak to each individual, every family that is here today, Father. And we know that when we surrender all those things to you and you can move and speak freely like you are supposed to be allowed to do, God, we know that you're going to speak to our hearts. Um, Father, we know that you are going to move in a special way. And so, God, I pray that this service today would just be a service that we are, we are so real with you, Father, that we would cut past any religious thing that is holding us back or holding us um captive, Father God. And I pray that we would let all those guards down, any of those masks that we put on in church, and God, we would truly hear what it is you're trying to say to us today, Father, because it's important for the continuation of this ministry in this church that we hear your heart today, Father. We thank you and we praise you in Jesus' name. And the church said, Amen. We're gonna go to the book of Luke, and I hope you were able to stop by the info booth and pick up um today's sermon notes. If you haven't done that, you have the Bible app you can access the notes on there. Just go to the events tab and find Family Worship Center in Versailles, and all of the notes for today's sermon should be on there, okay? So Luke chapter 18, we're gonna read verses 9 through 14, and also the the notes and scriptures will be on the screen. So um look at this with me, and I'm gonna read it out loud. Here it goes. Then Jesus told this story to some who had great confidence in their own righteousness and scorned everyone else. Verse 10 Two men went to the temple to pray. One was a Pharisee, and the other was a despised tax collector. How many of you know after all these years, the tax people still get a hard time, amen? So pray for your local tax person. Verse 11. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed this prayer. I thank you, God, that I am not like other people, cheaters and sinners and adulterers. I'm certainly not like that tax collector. I fast twice a week and I give you a tenth of my income. But the tax collector stood at a distance and dared not even lift his eyes to heaven as he prayed. Instead, he beat his chest in sorrow, saying, Oh God, be merciful to me, for I am a sinner. I tell you, this sinner, not the Pharisee, returned home justified before God. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted. Can I remind you real quick that that was Jesus talking? Okay. There's so much to speak about concerning this scripture. And I mentioned this conversation that I was having, God just shook me with this sermon, and it was the Holy Spirit because I was having this conversation, this friend of mine who used to be in our youth group, and now all these years have passed, and now he's a youth pastor, and he was wanting to know what's happening in Versailles, Missouri. I'm seeing there's a lot of growth, and I'm seeing there's a lot of God moving and doing great things there. And we were talking about this, and he was asking about how my heart was towards it all. How do you feel about it all? How are you processing all these incredible things God is doing? And as I try to put words together for the overwhelming move of God that we've been experiencing here at Family Worship Center, I said, you know, my heart is different because I've been a part of a large church and even large youth groups before. And I've been a part of exciting things when it comes to a move of God. And I said, I think God's heart is, and my prayer is that we are really reaching people's heart over the hype. If you don't know what hype means, that just means the excitement, the emotions, the draw of a big crowd, people being excited about something, the applause, the noise. I hope that you get what that means. My prayer is that we are actually what we're actually experiencing here on a Sunday morning or on a Wednesday night or any time that we gather together, that it's a real authentic move of God. Not a pastor, not a worship team, not a location, not a building. You see, God is not impressed with outward excitement if inward devotion is missing. God wants your heart, not the hype. Matthew 15, 8 says this these people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. So that leads us to the very first point today. Point number one is this God sees past the performance. I want you to hear me today because this isn't a performance. I've had people very close to me in this church come up to me because they couldn't believe some of the messages that God was speaking and asked, you know, what where what book are you preaching this out of? Who are you ripping off? Who are you copying? Who whose sermon did you steal? And can I be real with you today? I have no idea what I'm doing. I don't I don't say that to brag on anybody or to make myself look bad, but what I want to brag on is the Holy Spirit that He's working in my life and working in this church. See, I didn't go to seminary, I don't have some impressive college degree. I didn't go to a big church when I was a kid and grow up around all those things. My dad wasn't a pastor. You can ask my wife. For the last 16 years, we were in youth ministry, and every Wednesday night when we went home and all the noise of being in a youth group died down, I said, I am ready to quit. I can't do this. I this is not something that I am capable of doing. But how many of you know when we're not capable of doing something, that's when God steps in and he takes over. Talk to my wife. I promise you, I I don't know what I'm doing up here. There was a time when putting together a sermon or speaking in front of a crowd terrified me. But the one thing I do know is that God is real. And sometimes I feel like the least worthy in the entire church. But I'm the one up here on the stage. So please, please, listen to me this morning. This is my heart. Don't follow me, follow Christ. The only thing I have going on for me is that my heart is for him. Take away everything in my life, the one thing that will remain is my prayer and and everything that I want is for God's will to be done in my life. So, what does this have to do with today's message? I'm not about the hype. And it surprises me when it's there. I'm not about pleasing everyone and every request and having big crowds and getting the approval by men and women. The only approval that I want is from my Heavenly Father. And so my prayer is this God, get a hold of our hearts. Help us be real and authentic. Help us know your heart and truly do your will in our lives and in this church. And so we want heart over height. God sees past the performance. 1 Samuel 16, 7, and this has to do with the prophet Samuel anointing the new king, King David. It says, man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. I get it, appearance isn't everything. I've been in churches and I've been on staff at churches that have the fancy lights and all the fancy equipment and all of the finances to do all the things. But that impresses man, not God. God is more concerned about your heart. The Lord looks at your heart. Matthew chapter 6, verse 1 says this be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others. Here's the truth. Somebody under the sound of my voice needs to hear this today. You can look spiritual and still be spiritually empty. It's like a blown-up balloon. You look like you're full of something, but it's really just air. See, God isn't moved by how loud your praise is if your life is quiet in obedience. I love this quote that I found. A stage actor can cry real tears, but it's still just a performance. I was thinking if I had a little more time this week and I would have remembered to put this together, I was thinking about how you could have a really nice and even a big box up here, and you could wrap it up like a present. You could put a big old bow on it, you could put sparkly things all over it. Make that present look really nice. But if there's nothing on the inside of it, it's just an empty box. It means nothing. Can I tell you? Sometimes when we go to church, that's what it's like. We're just going through the motions. Maybe it looks impressive, but there's nothing inside. That's hype without heart. So that leads us to our next point. Point number two. Worship without heart is noise. As a musician and as someone who loves music, I love all types of music. And notice how I didn't say you have to love all the same things. You don't have to love all the same things that I do, and that's fine. I really do. I love all kinds of music. You can ask my wife on my playlist. Sometimes there's Christian rap, sometimes there's bluegrass. Sometimes there's southern gospel, sometimes there's country, sometimes there's jazz, and sometimes there's blues. I like rock and there's heavy rock that I like. There's guitar solos. I like drums. I like instrumentals. I like all kinds of music. And every one of those genres or styles, there's a difference between someone making music and someone making noise. In the same way, you can jump around during worship, you can lift your hands so high you touch the ceiling, you can fall to your knees, and none of those things are wrong unless you are doing it for show instead of for the love of the Father. Hear me this morning. You can look the part, but still not have what it takes. You can sound good, you can look good, you can have all the hype, but worship without heart is noise. I don't know if you've ever heard what it sounds like when music is blasted through a blown speaker. Anybody ever do that when they're younger? You got your first car, and maybe that that that speaker system had already been tried out by somebody else. But it was your car, and you were gonna crank up the music, it distorts, it doesn't sound good. And frankly, as I'm getting older, that sound it's annoying. Anybody testify to that? But that's how our worship is if it doesn't have heart. Listen to me this morning. Amos chapter 5, verse 23 says this away with the noise of your songs. John 4, 23 says, true worshipers will worship in spirit and truth. See, God makes it real simple for us in scripture. God rejects worship that isn't real. Volume doesn't equal value. I love the story of the song, and we we sang a little bit of it, and I think we're gonna sing more of it here at the end, but it's the song Heart of Worship by Matt Redman. I don't know if you've ever heard this song story before. He was the worship pastor of this big church in England, and one day God just really challenged his pastor's heart that their worship wasn't authentic. It's one of those things that they just felt like, man, we're just going through the motions, we're just being religious. And so the pastor felt led to shut down their worship during their services. Not for a week or two, but for like six weeks. They had no music, no worship. Just coming together, fellowship, and the word. You did that today. A lot of people would be like, I'm not showing up this week. There's no music. That's one of the reasons I go. But during this time, Matt Redmond and the whole staff at this church, they were seeking God, and he felt like the Lord was giving him this song to sing, and he he wrote this song and he brought it to his pastor, and they decided when they felt like it was time to end this season of no worship at their church, this would be the first song that they would sing. And that day God moved in such a big way, it was the only song that they sang over and over again. Here's what the words say. I want you to listen in on this. When the music fades and all is stripped away, and I simply come longing just to bring something that's of worth that will bless your heart. I'll bring you more than a song, for a song in itself is not what you have required. You search much deeper within through the way things appear. You're looking into my heart. I'm coming back to the heart of worship. And it's all about you. It's all about you, Jesus. I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it when it's all about you. It's all about you, Jesus. Can we put our hands together? Can we give him some praise right now? What I also love about the Father and worship is this: you can take someone who can't carry a tune in a bucket, and they can get up and sing a song, or they can lift their hands and begin to worship in the middle of the service, and they're so passionate about it because of their love for Jesus. That song will be so anointed, and the Spirit of God can be so sweet with something like that, and it just makes you want to weep and to be in the presence of God. Why? Because it's not about the sound, it's about the heart. So this leads us to point number three: activity doesn't equal intimacy. So many people think that you have to be constantly busy with serving the Lord. Can I tell you something? You don't need to find a bunch of reasons to be busy, you just need to serve the Lord, and He'll bring you a bunch of busyness. Luke chapter 10, verse 38 through 42 says this as Jesus and the disciples continued on their way to Jerusalem, they came to a certain village where a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. Her sister Mary sat at the Lord's feet, listening to what he taught. But Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, Lord, doesn't it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me. But the Lord said to her, check this out, my dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details. There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it and it will not be taken away from her. You can do a lot for God and still not be with God. Busy hands don't always mean that you have a surrendered heart. They might live in the same home, but they can still be strangers. We have to take time to know the Lord. Can I get an amen? To be in relationship with him, to talk to him, to listen to him, to trust him. How will we know the heart of God if we don't read his word and we don't spend time with him? In the same way, God desires for us to include him and to fellowship with him so he knows our hearts and he can speak to our hearts and he can speak to our mind. I've been a part of ministry teams before where the calendar was so full of events and going on and doings that there was no time to just seek the Lord and to be refreshed by him. Can I testify that that that causes burnout? Can I tell you that if you don't make time with God a priority, you'll find yourself in spiritual burnout, stuck in the mud, spinning your wheels, not knowing what to do. I want you to remember, I've been around church for a lot of years, and I've been around Christians my whole life. And I've been in ministry now for 16 years, and and we've decided over the last 25 years in church and Christian culture, you really have if if you've been around at all, you've heard people talk about burnout a lot. Anybody ever hear somebody say that? Or maybe you've said that I'm burnout. Can I give you the biblical word for this? This is probably gonna offend somebody. Probably offends me if I'm if I'm thinking about it and I'm up in my feelings, but right now this is about God. Probably offends me, but probably offends somebody out there. But how many of you how many of you understand before you can fix a problem, you have to realize there is a problem. The Bible never says burnout. The Bible calls it being lukewarm. This is what God's word says in Revelation chapter 3, 15 and 16. I know your deeds that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other. So because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I am about to spit you out of my mouth. I need you to hear my heart this morning, church. I can promise you, my heart has been so heavy all week from for this message. My heart has been broken all week because not only what God is wanting to reveal to some people this morning, but also what he's revealing to me. God isn't after your performance, he's after your heart. You can shout on Sunday and still be disobedient on Monday. If it's all noise and no obedience, it's hype with no heart. So this leads us to the next point. And we're gonna hit these last two points fairly quickly. And so I need you to try to focus in. I need you to try to hear what God is saying to us today. Point number four is this hype fades and heart endures. One of the best examples of this idea is Palm Sunday. Matthew chapter 21. Jesus has his triumphant entry, and the they cry out, Hosanna, they're ready to declare him king, they're ready to take on Rome. And then just a few days later, the crowd shouts, Crucify Him. A lot can change in just a matter of a few days. Hype. Excitement. It's not all it's cracked up to be. The hype fades and the heart is revealed. The hype was loud on that Palm Sunday. Her heart showed up on Friday. It's kind of like the fair weather fan in sports. Maybe you know someone like that. They cheer when their team wins, but disappears when they lose. God wants transformation, not just emotion. You might be thinking, Pastor Phil, you are stepping all over my toes today. No, it's not just you. I grew up Pentecostal. We're all about the emotions. If this steps on anyone's toes, it's probably mine. I love the hype. I love the emotion. It helps encourage me and drive me. And it's nostalgic because it's something that I grew up around. And the whole tongue-talking, devil stomping, Holy Ghost believer thing, right? And I have to check myself from time to time to make sure what I am doing aligns with the word of God, and it's not just emotions. Because I want to have a good day. And just like a lot of you, I also have bad days, and I can swim in those emotions depending on what my mood is. And I have to make sure my feelings aren't in the driver's seat. There's only one person that I want in the driver's seat. It's not my emotions, it's our Heavenly Father. Don't get me wrong. I know we're emotional people. God designed us that way. He wants transformation just as much as He wants emotion. The Bible says you will know them by their fruits. You can't talk the talk if you won't walk the walk. Romans 12, 1 and 2, offer your bodies as a living sacrifice. James 1, 22. Do not merely listen to the word, do what it says. Don't just be hearers of the word, be doers of the word. Amen. I love this illustration. Think about this. A gym membership doesn't change your body. Showing up consistently to the gym does. If we could revisit the tax collector and the Pharisee in Luke 18, the scripture that we read at the beginning. One man had hype, loud prayer, religious resume, the other had heart. Humble, broken, sincere, repenting. That scripture said, This man went home justified before God. God doesn't respond to spiritual hype, he responds to spiritual humility. As pastor of family worship center, no one holds as much responsibility as I do. Someone told me that's why you have such big shoulders, so you can carry all that weight. But listen, I'm being serious. I have to ask the tough questions because this is what God put on my heart for the last 12 months is that we needed to go through every part of this church and make sure that we were spiritually healthy and things were in the right place. And we've had to make some tough changes and adjustments and look at things differently. Here's a recent question God put on my heart that I'll share with you because it goes along with today's message. Are we putting on a show for people or are we surrendering our hearts to God? I need someone to hear me this morning. I'm happy over numbers and bigger crowds and those blessings, and those are nice things, but that's not my concern. My concern is that are we connecting our hearts to the heart of God? Because if the church is spiritually healthy and we're doing the biblical things that God has called us to do, if our hearts are connecting with God, hear this. Amen? So I can stand up here today and I can tell you that we are doing that. We have been doing that for the last 12 months, and this isn't the end, it's just the beginning. As we continue to sow seed and plant the seed, till the ground, do our part, God will do his part. He is the gardener. He's gonna water the seed, he's gonna see it grow, he's gonna bring it to fruition. I believe God is speaking. I believe there's some here under the sound of my voice that need to give their life to Christ today. You need to ask Jesus into your heart. I believe there's some here that have been caught up in some type of hype, emotion, or gossip, or religious ways. Maybe you've been guilty of just going through the motions, but your heart hasn't been in it today. God can change that. In Jesus' name, he's going to this morning. Because Christ is calling out to us today, he's calling his people to repentance, realignment, and authentic devotion to him. Revelation chapter 2, verses four through five. Nevertheless, I have this against you that you have left your first love. Remember, therefore, from where you have fallen, repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place. Unless you repent. I believe for some of us that he's got our number today. He's reading your mail. I believe you're feeling the conviction. Can I tell you that's a good thing? And so I want us to bow our heads and to close our eyes. I'm gonna ask the worship team to come up here to the front, and we're going to ask that our prayer partners to get ready, those who help us pray, those who help us lift people up, those who pray for the sick, those who help pray people to salvation. If you would just come up and begin to line up across the front, our pastors and our staff and teachers, whoever that is in our leadership that feels like they want to help pray with people today, if you would just begin to line up all the way across the front, so every section of the seating is covered. Let's bow our heads. We're gonna pray. Father, I thank you that you are in this place today. And with nobody looking around, no distractions, Father God, this is between us and you this morning, God. I pray that if there's one person here who doesn't know you, that they would make that choice today. It would be the best choice they ever made in their life to accept you as their savior. Father, I pray for those who maybe they're here, but their heart's not in it. Maybe they become become spiritually lukewarm or burnt out. Maybe they've just been guilty of going through the motions that you would rekindle that fire inside of them today, God, so that we could truly serve you and live for you, God, so we could truly be in your will today. Father, draw us close to you. Help us have heart, not hype. With every head bowed, every eye closed. If you're here today and God's speaking to you, you need to accept Christ as your savior with nobody looking around, no one judging you. We want to give you an opportunity to say that prayer, to ask him into your heart in your life. Would you just slip up your hand and say, Pastor, that's me? Jesus is calling me. He's asking me to have a relationship with him. Thank you for that hand. Thank you for those hands. Is there anyone else? God's speaking to you this morning, and you need to just surrender to him. You need to just ask him into your life, be the Lord and Savior of your life today. Just slip up your hand so God can see you today. Thank you for that hand. God sees you today. We're gonna say this prayer, and I want the church to say this prayer after me, and then we're gonna open up a time in the altars that if you need prayer, maybe you're you're you know, God's speaking to you about being lukewarm or or or being burnt out, or maybe you're just needing to touch in your body this morning, whatever you need prayer for. We're gonna open up this time for prayer. But real quick, we want to say this prayer with those who are asking Christ into their heart because it's important. It's important that we take time for this. It's important that we say this prayer with them so they don't feel like they're alone. So let's say this prayer together. Jesus, I believe you died for me. I believe you rose again. Forgive me of my sin. Come into my life. Fill me with your spirit. I choose heart over hype. I believe you are my savior. Show me how to live. Put a hunger in my heart for you. In Jesus' name. Amen. Church, can we put our hands together? Thank you, Jesus. Here's what we're getting ready to do. We're getting ready to open up these altars, and we're going to have a short time of prayer, short time of worship. And what I want to encourage you to do today is not to get in too big of a hurry, not to get too stressed out over this time. This is just a time between you and God. And so as we get ready to worship, as we get ready to sing, just going to ask you to, if you have any kind of prayer need this morning, to come up and to allow these prayer partners just to pray for you and encourage you today. And let's just worship together. Can we do that?
