SPEAKER_00

Happy Friday. We're back. We say the same thing every single time. Hello. We just said a prayer before this episode because I listened back. Listening back has been excruciating. Yeah. To say the least. Yeah, it's been tough. And I realize one, I talk a lot. Two, I cut you off so much. So you cut me off, you jump in. No, but yeah, it's been pretty painful to listen back to. But it's okay. I'm moving past insecurities. It's alright. What do you think? What are you drinking? I'm glad that you asked. What do you think this is? A strawberry matcha. It's a blueberry matcha. Okay, I was close. I knew it was gonna be some matcha. Right, but I've never seen a purple matcha. Oh wait, can I taste it? I'm allowed to. You're you say you tell me that you're allowed to. Isn't that crazy? I hate that. The girl handed it. She's like, here is your matcha. Thank you.

SPEAKER_02

Where's the green?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's fully green or fully pink. Guys, my energy is off today. I had to get a coffee because I am so tired. So please excuse all of the stuttering, sighing, all of it. So, anyways, I was at my nail appointment right before this, and I will include those in our next dump. We need to do our dump for today. Yeah. Again. Our second one. Anyways. We're trying to post dumps each episode, but we didn't do it for the past couple. So it was like a smorgasbord of weird stuff. That's the second board. We'll just like make it an Easter egg in each episode. Yeah. I feel. But I stopped at Starbucks before this, and I've never ordered just an iced latte from Starbucks. And so I did so. And they have like a toasted coconut flavor this week or this month or this season. And I got that. It was pure milk. They handed me a glass of milk out the window. And as soon as they handed that to me, my stomach dropped. And I'm like, oh my gosh. Like, what do I do? I was like, I was in my head, I'm like, do I pull forward? Do I just drink it? Do I drive off? I don't like to be that person ever. But I did park and I did walk in. And then like they all turned and looked at me. Because I was the girl that was just in the drive-thru with a coffee in my hand. And I'm like, hello. I mean, but this is trash. Sorry, but this is pure, complete garbage. No, but I was like, I messed up first of all. I walked up there. I was like, how many pumps of espresso did you put in here? And they just stared at me. I'm like, I mean, shots of espresso. And basically, the lady's like, what do you need? I was like, can you just make it taste like coffee? Because it's just really milky. And yeah, I got it fixed. She was nice. They were nice enough. Shout out Barto Starbucks. But the lady was so nice. She's like, go, you're at Starbees. You can't leave until you're happy. I was like, noted. I've left many a times without being happy.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I left today. I won't name any names where it was, but I'm I'm drinking blueberry milk, essentially. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

With sprinkles of matcha. That brought me back to whenever we were kids and we used to drink strawberry milk. It's triggering. That literally makes me want to throw up. It's giving strawberry milk with a little bit of grass. Yeah. Anyways.

SPEAKER_01

Anyways, that's that's the messed up coffee portion of the podcast.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that was the coffee talk. Talk. Any life update.

SPEAKER_01

So I went to the dentist yesterday and I got my cleaning done. And you know, whenever they polish your teeth, I've been I always try to act mature and get mint.

SPEAKER_00

But yesterday, I'm like, why do I have to act like I'm this mature adult? Give me raspberry. You know what? Throw me a curveball. And I got raspberry. Next time I'm gonna get bubble gum. I was too scared to ask for bubble gum. Y'all got any hubba bubba flavor? They also had cookie dough. That was too funny. I used to get cookie dough when I was crazy. I think I didn't taste the cookie dough. It I hate that feeling so much of the polishing. Are they getting all the stuff in between your teeth? I have like weird sensory issues. That's one of them. Whenever they're using that grimy stuff, I hate that. You can just feel stuff stuck between your teeth. And I'm just like, are my teeth gonna catch on fire? Like, what's going on? I almost said something. Really?

SPEAKER_01

Like, uh this is uh might burn a hole through my tooth.

SPEAKER_00

Let me stop you there, ma'am. Well, also today, Lisa, if you're listening to this, I Lisa was filing my nails, and it happens every time. It's it's me, I'm the issue. But I have like a weird sensory thing, and the nail file touching and going back and forth on the pad of my finger, like sends me, and I just sit there like it's bad. But she slayed bubblegum paint. As usual, as usual. I'm going on Sunday. What are you getting? I don't know yet. I'll keep you guys posted though. I did like your that yellow chrome. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

The shroom. I'm for sure getting that again at some point this year. Yeah, whenever Amber was younger, she thought it was shroome, not chrome.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I remember like we would pass like a truck or something on the road. Oh my gosh, that that truck is so nice with the shroom. What a nice. Anyways. Any other life updates? I can't find my life updates. But I want to hear from you. Okay. I'm not gonna say my major life update because I'm gonna talk about it in the episode. I'm getting married. I got engaged. No. Where are my life updates? Is it is your big one. Yes!

unknown

Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, I get all flustered whenever I get in here because I'm like, where did everything go in my notes? Well, I'll talk about work today. Oh yeah. So I deal with like customers, and this guy emailed so rude, asking like where his order is.

SPEAKER_01

What is the holdup? And I looked at his order he ordered on March 1st, and it's currently March 6th.

SPEAKER_00

Not even a week. Keep in mind, explain like what we do.

SPEAKER_01

We like custom make custom sizes for of window screen. So it's like not something we just take off the shelf. Anyways, he got mad and then so I get a little nasty in the emails, to be honest. Not nasty, but I I shoot the facts. I'm gonna shoot the facts. Please note because we have the international format, so it looks like it was placed in January 3rd. Yeah. But wouldn't you know that hey, I placed this a couple days ago, not two months ago.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, the international format for like the dates is a little confusing, I will say, but it's like I had someone email before whenever I used to work there. It would it I think it was like like 23 2 2026 or 2025 or whatever. And they're like, this date doesn't make sense.

SPEAKER_01

And I'm like, let's use some context clues. Yeah, there's no 23rd month. So let's start.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and so whenever I emailed him today, so please note that our it is in international format, day month year. Thank you. Did he email anything back? No, uh he got what he wanted.

SPEAKER_01

We sent out his order.

SPEAKER_00

Ah, perfect.

SPEAKER_01

You can scrap that. That's not interesting.

unknown

It's really bad.

SPEAKER_00

I mean just fired up. They're mediocre life up. Yeah, these are meteor These are meteor showers. These are meteor shower updates. We're telling you the weather. I did see a shooting star the other day. Did I tell you that? No. I was at your house.

SPEAKER_01

Bro, I pray this is a weird thing that I do. I pray for God to show me a shooting star. Never seen one. You've never seen one? Maybe like once or twice, but like I done, I don't know if it's just my eyes playing tricks or if it's actually shooting stuff.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know if it's my sugar being low or God, just one, please.

SPEAKER_01

And I'll be out there looking and I like not one thing.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, you should have watched the rocket take off or whatever that thing is called. I didn't think it was gonna be cool, but I now I saw all those posts about it. What are the posts saying? It just looked like a fish. A jellyfish? Uh-uh. I don't know. I was on Facebook. Facebook lying to you.

SPEAKER_01

Uh I think it was that. It said something something. Something about a jellyfish cloud.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know. Is that like the mushroom cloud? Is that similar to that? Yeah, it just looked like an orange fire going up into the sky, and me and dad went out by the lake and watched it. Dazzling space jellyfish illuminates Florida sky. Oh well. So it didn't look like that though? No, I I mean I didn't have my glasses on either. So it was literally just an orange marking in the sky. Gotcha. Mm-hmm. But I did see a shooting star afterwards, and it was just so bad. That's lucky. Just a lucky girl. Anyways. I wanted to touch on something. I know everyone's been waiting. I like James Job. Okay, I have been making my bed every morning. I mmm. That's good on you.

SPEAKER_01

I'll leave it at that.

SPEAKER_00

I will say I feel better. I feel a little lighter. Chip off my shoulder. It feels good. I have chips stacked on my shoulder. No, it feels so nice. I get the the psychology behind it. Like, you know, even if you don't accomplish anything else that day, like you woke and excuse me? You woke up and made your bed. So you accomplished that. I wanted to touch on something in the last episode when I listened back today.

SPEAKER_01

I said that I haven't litten or litd any candles. And I just want to address that. I know that that's not correct.

SPEAKER_00

See, there's no way I just said that. Litted.

SPEAKER_01

Dumb.

SPEAKER_00

There was some stuff that I was saying too. And like you called me out and you're like, you said something. You're like, I don't know if you know what that means. I wasn't like talking about it. No, no, no. I don't know what it was even about, but I'm like, I went to-bye. Yes, yes. And I was like, I wonder if our listeners think I'm dumb.

unknown

I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

This means sweetie. But yeah, some of the stuff I say too, I'm just like, okay. Yeah, that was something that stuck out to me. So just wanted to address the elephant in the room.

SPEAKER_01

I know.

SPEAKER_00

I'm not that dumb.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, listen back.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my gosh. I'm like, I was gonna address the black coffee. Yeah. I had to touch on and I don't know. I just wanted to touch on the allegations because I know that I said, I forgot what I said. He said black coffee is not cool. Yes. And then like I proceeded to say, and like I think the last episode, or I don't know. I'm so confused when our episodes come out. But I was like, yeah, my second coffee, yeah, drink it black. But then I did say, like, it does, it's not like great. Like, I don't always drink it black. It's just my second coffee. I just want to clear things up. I don't prefer. I think I made up the allegations like toward myself. That you like black coffee? Yeah. You said that you didn't. You said I confused you. You did say that. She's referring to an old fine video right now. I'm dying. So maybe I won't touch on any black coffee. I'm just not gonna talk about coffee anymore. You said you said that you didn't like black coffee. Okay. You didn't think it was great. Okay. So I think you're but I also said that I drink it and like people who drink it think they're cool. I just there was like a lot of confusion with the black coffee. So I just wanted to make sure I addressed that. Just so there's no, you know, confusion, misconceptions, that kind of thing. Right, right. Because our We are we just want to be fully transparent with you guys. We never want to keep anything from you. Yes. Anyways, what are we talking about today? Well, did you have any words are hard, I know. Did you have any other updates? Have you been doing anything? What are you doing this weekend? Work. True. Mm-hmm. I do work this weekend. So that'll be super, super duper fun, but it's okay. I love my job. So it's fine.

unknown

Right.

SPEAKER_00

No, the weather's beautiful, so I'm excited to like get off of work. Ooh. Katie did tell me that her and Ryan are going out on the boat this weekend. On Saturday, actually, tomorrow. So we'll see if I actually got invited. She invited me, but let's see if I actually can go. I don't know. I hope she texts me tomorrow because I'm trying to go. We'll see. So I might go on the lake tomorrow, get some sunshine. I really don't have any life updates, like mediocre or not. Yeah, I have, I don't know. I took my friend's son to Bok Tower last week. Tell them what he calls it. Block Tower. Are we going to Block Tower? Yeah. Sure. I like saying it though.

SPEAKER_01

And I don't know. We were playing in the sandbox, and usually I feel like adults just sit back and watch. I was up in that sandbox. I was digging. And it was just so fun. And he's like, this is a lot of fun. I know. Let's do it next week. Let's come back again. So we're gonna start going to Block Tower more often and digging. It's just honestly gets my foot in the door to get into a sandbox.

SPEAKER_00

That being weird. You just don't have access to those kind of things.

SPEAKER_01

I'm getting dig much as an adult. And I think we should bring back digging.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's a good idea. Maybe I'll break that stigma. Mm-hmm. That's what we do on this podcast. We break stigmas and glass walls and windows. No, we talk, we we give you like the hard-hitting, burning questions, all of it. We talk about the things that no one talks about. The things that no one wants to talk about. I'll also talk about this. Eggs are not it for me recently. Don't even get me started.

SPEAKER_01

On your jammy eggs. My jammy eggs. But eggs, I don't know. I've never been a huge egg fan, but lately I'm like, get that out of my face.

SPEAKER_00

Disgusting. And I've been the complete opposite. I I saw a video with Kiki Palmer a while back, and she just kept referring to jammy eggs. And I was like, what does that mean? Sabrina did let me know. It is just a soft boiled egg. So yeah, it's considered a jammy egg. But I always buy like a dozen eggs, and then I never eat them because I'm always late in the morning, never have time for breakfast. So I made some soft-boiled eggs the other day. And so I've just been munching on those every morning, and they're so delightful. I love a boiled egg. Ugh. A boiled egg is my nightmare. Nightmare. It's my Okay. Should we share our big, our big one? No, wait. Oh. What do we what is this episode about again? What we didn't even tell them what we're talking about. We didn't get into it yet. Okay. Okay, should we get into it now? Yeah. Let's do it.

SPEAKER_01

So it doesn't even have anything to do with it, but okay, so this episode? The working title of Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Spring Cleaning My Life.

unknown

That's it.

SPEAKER_00

Should we word that differently? No, I like it. We're spring cleaning our life. Okay. Unless you think we should change it. I don't know what else to do. Me neither. Yeah, so it's well, whenever you're listening to this, it will not be March 6th. It'll probably be March 13th. I would imagine if Don't quote me on that. I don't have my calendar pulled up. God's willing. But when will it be? March 13th, I think. I just said that, right? Yes. I don't know. Oh, I thought you said no, it won't be. I said God's willing.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

It for sure will be that date.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. So today, yes, we are talking about spring cleaning our life, subject or subject, title, TBD, TBA to be determined. We don't know. But yeah, we're spring cleaning our life and just kind of going through the different things, like with it being now March 13th, like what better time, I guess. Like what better time to spring clean everything in your in your life? So we just kind of compiled a list of things we're doing, want to do, thinking about doing. Dreaming about doing, potentially, maybe. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

We we don't know. This is just us trying to be better.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Trying to better ourselves. Spring is so inspiring. Like when I think of spring, I just think of pastels and flowers and freshness and newness. And I'm just so thankful. Speaking of new growth, we have baby sandhill cranes. I did see them this morning. They're cutie pies. So cute. I hope they don't get eaten by the hawks. Yeah, we'll say a prayer.

SPEAKER_01

You guys just say a prayer for our sandhill cranes.

SPEAKER_00

Is a struggle every year. Honestly, genuinely. Can you please? Can you actually please add that to your prayer list? Okay, so this spring I am cleaning out my camera roll. Once and for all. That's such a good one.

SPEAKER_01

I always say, I need to clean out my camera. I have like 14 screen 14,000, excuse me. Screenshots of just bogus stuff that I'm never gonna look back on.

SPEAKER_00

It's the screenshots. Yeah. Like recipes. Girl, it's like I've never made it. Like, and I'm never going to. You can delete it. I I'm trying to find how many. Where does it say how many photos you have? It doesn't even tell me.

SPEAKER_01

I thought I just got a glimpse. I don't know what's going on right now.

SPEAKER_00

Anyways, yeah, I just keep screenshotting things. And then also whenever I take photos, I'm like, just keep snapping them. Like, if you've ever taken a photo of me, you know I say that every time. So I have options, but I never hardly delete those options. And so I have thousands and thousands. 45,000 photos. How did you find that? It says it up here. Where is that? Wow. I have 21,000 photos. You have a lot. You have a double photo. I'm a photographer. That's true.

SPEAKER_01

And I just I'm a hoarder in all aspects of my life.

SPEAKER_00

Well, that is a really good one. I feel like I want to get started on that now, like ASAP. And I actually was because we were looking through photos for our photo dump. And I feel like I was kind of going through and being like, okay, why do I have this? Look at this, for example. I just get so distracted. I took a picture, like a selfie in my mirror, or I was trying to. And my camera was like clearly so oily and dirty, and I just have like an oily, dirty selfie. That I can't even see myself in for no reason. Didn't delete it. Yeah. So on my list, number one, it's I literally have obvious. Do a deep clean. I feel like that's your starting point. I just feel like you have to kind of start there. And then from there, you kind of branch off into the other things on my list. So, like, I just want to go in, take everything out of my closets, and just go through dough and then put it back. Only the things I need, only the things I've worn recently, that kind of idea. It sounds so much easier though than it is. Yeah, I know. Like, I just did that and I got rid of two big bags. And my room is still just like jam-packed. Jammy packed. Jammy. I got a jammy room. Oh. Yeah, so I need to go through all the closets. All of my pantries. Oh my gosh, that actually just I don't know the last time I cleaned my food pantry.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I'm pretty sure you got some old stuff in there. I'm pretty sure I do as well. Yeah. Wow. I need to do that when I go home, actually. I want to do a major closet purge slash a trinket purge because I like trinkets.

SPEAKER_01

I love the trinket. Like, I have this, or I did, I finally got rid of it, but that little miniature screwdriver. Yeah. It's like microscopic, and it's for like if your glasses screw comes loose. I finally threw it out because what on earth would I need this mouse-sized screwdriver for? Lo and behold, my glasses screw came out. I didn't have a screwdriver for it. So I had to bring it in, get it fixed. It was for free, but still.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like that's why so many people do keep so many things and do have so many junk drawers or so much junk in their junk drawer, just because you never know when you're gonna need something.

SPEAKER_01

And I used to have, I think I finally got rid of those two.

SPEAKER_00

I might still have them. But you know those little things that come with your phone, your iPhone? Like the little tiny like metal things to get SIM card, the SIM card out. I kept those for a long time just in case. Never take it out. I don't even have card cards anymore. I don't know. Couldn't tell ya. Okay, my next one is noob spring bed sheets. I actually did this last year. Spent way too much money. You like planned that she had like a whole collage going. That was crazy. I was like intense to the whole mock-up. I really did. My Canva hated to see me come in last spring because I had like the pillows that I wanted. And like, do I want this lumbar pillow or this lumbar pillow? Do I want it to be this long or this long? But I will say I really did like my bed last spring. And I just got in my closet.

SPEAKER_01

Your bed hasn't looked like that in a long time.

SPEAKER_00

No, ma'am, it lasted. It did last maybe like a month or two. But then I came. I my brain fully developed. I came to, and I did realize that I didn't want bright orange in my room. So I did put those away. But I do still have like the green lumbar pillow and then my other pillowcases. But I think like a muted spring is gonna be good for me this year, like a muted spring color palette. But I do think like there's something to be said about new bed sheets.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I need some help. I want to like freshen up my room and make it nice because I feel like we're kind of opposite. I like my things to look nice, but I don't ever go buy stuff. I just kind of use what I find around the house.

SPEAKER_00

I like my things to look bad, but I do buy stuff. No, I said the opposite. I was trying to be funny and I said it wrong.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I don't even understand what you're even trying to do. It's okay.

SPEAKER_00

Well, you said that we're opposite.

SPEAKER_01

No, as in we both like our stuff to look nice, but opposite in the fact that like you go out and make it happen and buy stuff. I just I try to scavenge around the house. Take my mom's stuff, then I get in trouble. Why is my throw on your bike on your bed?

SPEAKER_00

I don't know. What uh I don't know. I've just found it. I feel like you put it in here. You gave it to me. Yeah, that's your thing. You always do say that. No, but you do. You'll give me something and then you regret it because you see that it's actually still nice. Did I give that to you?

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Nah, you took it. No, but I was referring to like mom. You do always say, like, gave it to me. I don't know. I did it. Sometimes the line gets hairy.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know if I've just stolen it for so long or if someone gave it to me.

SPEAKER_00

Squatter's rights, you know? But like you haven't seen it this time, this whole time, and you haven't had a problem with it. So obviously, you don't need it that bad. I did take my belt back.

unknown

What belt?

SPEAKER_00

The one that you absolutely ruined. Do you remember that one? You said you said I can have. Yeah, I did take it back. That's why I brought it up. Yeah. I'm laughing because I shouldn't have brought it up. I was trying to be transparent and honest, like we said we were gonna be. But you you gave it to me because you ruined it. And I said it in the moment. I was like, just have it. And I have been wearing it, and I love that belt now. So annoying.

SPEAKER_01

You got mad at me because I forgot to take the belt out of the pants and I put it in the wash, and the belt changed colors.

SPEAKER_00

My bad. The whole belt was a completely different belt. It wasn't even brown anymore.

SPEAKER_01

You have no idea how long I've looked for a belt exactly like this.

SPEAKER_00

It was a perfect brown belt. I don't know what to tell you. I did not mean to do it. I did put it in my bag last night. Can you actually give it back? I don't know. You gave it to me. You can't take it back. It's an either. I don't know if that's technical, so. Okay, guys, new spring bed sheets. Get them. Next one you have. Anywho. I need to get back to the book. Imagine how I felt when you ruined it. Annoyed. I did not mean to. You can't. So like I know that I ruined it, but I didn't mean to. Okay. I didn't do it maliciously. I don't know what to say. I know that I you maliciously took it back. I did it maliciously. In your bag. I didn't do it with any malice in my heart. You didn't tell me. Like, hey, I'm just gonna take this back.

SPEAKER_01

I'm gonna get back into the gym so I can fight my sister for that belt. So we can box. No, but I need to get back into the gym. I last year was my running year.

SPEAKER_00

We won't get into it. We're done. We've clocked out on running. We can't talk about it. Well, we'll clock back in next year. Yeah. After our half marathon again.

SPEAKER_01

No, but last year was my running year, so I didn't really go to the gym much. By not much, I mean like I went like three times. Maybe. Nice. So this year, I'm getting tone. Last year was my cutting year.

SPEAKER_00

Tanned, toned. Tanned, toned. Fit and ready. Yes. Exactly. Yeah. Perfect. That brings me to my next thing. May I? Wait, I needed to touch on that because I did find it. I showed you the picture of my shoulders this morning whenever I was working out consistently back in 2023. But I guess like when you do stick to something, you do progress.

SPEAKER_01

Believe it or not.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's crazy. It is a crazy concept to think about. But yeah, you do see results whenever you stick to stuff. And looking back on those photos was proof. And so it has inspired me. So maybe I'll start that as well. It's not on my list though. Yeah, I wanna I'm gonna try to wake up early and go before work.

SPEAKER_01

But but we all know that song and dance, don't we?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I don't be doing it.

SPEAKER_01

Or singing. That song and dance is in my dreams as I push snooze for the fourth time. But tone tan, I'm gonna start laying out every week. It's starting to warm up. I wore a sweater to work and I had to keep rolling up my sleeves. That's how you know.

SPEAKER_00

That's how you know Summer season. Just be careful. Your skin.

SPEAKER_01

So I saw Instagram Reel saying that. The sun does not cause cancer.

SPEAKER_00

No, it's the food that we're eating. Uh there was a study done. Even like the skin cancer? Yeah. Oh wow.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, I'm no physician. This is from Instagram. So whatever. Dr. Insta. But there was a study done where they gave dogs like half of them ate a really healthy diet and were in the sun. And then the other half ate a standard American diet and were in the sun. And none of the dogs that were like healthy got skin cancer. Oh my gosh. So wake up, America.

SPEAKER_00

You gotta eat clean. Yeah, that is so hard though. Maybe I'll add that to my list. Yeah, I keep piggybacking off of myself, leapfrogging, if you will. I need to start meal prepping again. Yeah. Really bad. Me as well. Really bad.

SPEAKER_01

It's just tomfoolery at this point when I do.

SPEAKER_00

It's a mess. Every day at work is just crazy. No lunch, no breakfast. You don't eat? Hmm? Um, yes. I do eat. It just is not good stuff. I eat coffee for breakfast. And then I pass out before lunch, so I don't really eat lunch. So I'm pretty much unconscious by the time 11 a.m. rolls around. So I do skip lunch. No, and then I usually order something for lunch, and it's just like not homemade, like healthy stuff. And yeah. It's just a vicious cycle every day. Yeah. This Sunday. Mark my words. Mark your calendar. I might meal prep. Yeah, mark my words. I might be able to meal prep.

SPEAKER_01

The last thing I want to do is just stand in the kitchen and cook for three hours because for some reason it takes me so long to cook stuff. Yeah. What would take a normal person? Like that night I cooked at your house. It should only take like 30 minutes.

SPEAKER_00

It took me an hour. You I'm pretty sure you started when I was leaving the Tampa airport.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Oh no. It was probably a little bit after. I'm exaggerating, but you were still cooking when you got to my house. You were like 30 minutes out when I started. Yeah, I don't know. Were you finished on that one? Mm-hmm. So this is leading into both of our announcement. This is so this does not affect you guys in any shape or form.

SPEAKER_01

It's not that type of thing.

SPEAKER_00

Like so I said new season, new hobbies. Love that. Like, well, this is actually going to my next one is like deleting Instagram. I'll touch on that in a second. Just like I know the big announcement. I know, but I had to like connect them all. But like, oh, I still didn't say the big announcement. But I just want to be off my phone more. So we decided to like start taking up hobbies. I feel like that's a nice thing to do in the spring. So we signed up for a pottery class. Starting, it's starting on March 10th. So we'll have to update you. Our next episode or no? It's probably gonna be two episodes after this. No, yeah. It will be but we can lie and say, act like we did it already. We don't lie. No, but we signed up for a potty pottery karate potty class. I signed up for a karate potty class where we learn. Anyways, we signed up for a pottery class. We don't do potty talk here. And it's at the Lake Wells Art Center. It starts this Tuesday. And I'm so excited. My little apron came in the mail today.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we had to get supplies and stuff. Oh, I love getting supplies for a class.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, me too. I wish I had I I wish I was able to get like a binder. A crayon box. Yeah, and some crayons. No, but it's like a pottery wheel class. And I'm just so excited. Throw in the clay, scoring stuff. I don't know the terminology, but yeah. I did take a like a hand pottery class in high school, which was I I loved it so much. And honestly, I was kind of good at it. I'm pretty sure they stopped doing that by the time I was able to. Really? I don't know. I never got to take my class. It was like really one of my favorite electives. And they do have a hand pottery class at the art center, and I do want to do that next like rotation, maybe. Maybe in April I'll do that. But I, as some of you guys know, I do make earrings and I have an Etsy shop, but I just haven't been really feeling very inspired to make those earrings. And so I'm like, what are some new ways that I can like be creative? And I'm like, what if I did pottery? And maybe if I'm good enough, I can kind of do it on my own. Because my mom does have a kiln, oddly enough, and also a pottery wheel.

SPEAKER_01

One thing about our family is we have little like fixations. So we just have random items.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. So for a guitar. I was gonna say, for example, my mom was really into well, she wasn't even into it. She never started it. She wanted to learn an electric guitar or how to play the electric guitar. And so she asked for one for Christmas. Wins. She's never touched it. No. I don't know where that is. It's upstairs. Dad uses it now. Yeah. That's another story. Anyways.

SPEAKER_01

So yeah, we have that.

SPEAKER_00

We have a massage table. We have a pottery wheel, a kiln. A lot of different hobbies, my family. And that's where we get it, though. It's like, and I feel like a lot of people are like this where you get a hobby and then you spend like all the money to get every new thing for that hobby. And then you stick with it for a week. Um, but just kind of like other hobbies that I had like on my list queued up for after our pottery class. Like I mentioned, I wanted to do the hand pottery, the mosaic tiles. I wanted to do one of those classes. They have it at the studio. It's called Art on Fire Studio in Winterhaven. And they have a mosaic class where you can like do those tiles and stuff. And I thought that was kind of cool. Flower arranging. I would like to do flower arranging. Yeah, it's a good skill to have. I was talking to Dalton.

SPEAKER_01

Making money off of it.

SPEAKER_00

I was talking to Dalton because he works at a well. Anyways, he is like a florist or works at like a what is that even called? Like they do weddings and stuff, and like the floor was for weddings. I guess it's just a florist, but he's amazing at it. And I was asking him, I was like, do they do flower like arranging classes? And he's like, yes, and they do them at the addition hotel in Tampa. That would be cute. I'm like, that would be a really cute vibe. But yeah, so it's like a new class, new hobby. I think that's really cool. I also have like I've been into watercoloring lately. I was so proud of this gift that I made my friend for her wedding. I refer to her as my friend, guys. It's Katie, the girl that I mentioned in every episode. I painted her wedding venue and it turned out so good, and I was so proud of it. So then I was inspired to do like more watercoloring. I did paint with acrylics yesterday. Got really mad because it all looked very ugly. So I think I'll stick to watercolor. Crafting. I feel like we can do a whole episode on crafting. We need to have a scrapbook night soon. Oh, yes. I still have that scrapbook from Christmas. I was just talking to Lisa about this at my appointment. Like printing out pictures and like having a scrapbook and stuff is so fun, but it's so time consuming. I feel like I only get to the first step of printing out the photos, and then nothing happens to them. At least printing out photos is good though. Yeah. I love looking through old photos. Me too. I could do it all day. I really could, but it is so time consuming. I used to do like scrapbook journaling where it's like a little bit of journaling, a little bit of scrapbook, with just like your memories and stuff, and like little like receipts and postcards and things like that, which is super, super cute idea. Maybe we'll share a little picture of your scrapbook? Yeah, my little scrapbook thing. So yeah, that was the hobby portion of the episode.

SPEAKER_01

I want to develop a morning routine and a nighttime routine. My morning routine right now is waking up late and rushing out the door. Mine as well.

SPEAKER_00

And I like I can't do it anymore. No. It just sets the whole mood for the day, like the whole trajectory. And then I get home.

SPEAKER_01

And well, once I get home, I don't really have an excuse not rushing. I'm just like tired and I just want to sit and do nothing.

SPEAKER_00

And then I get mad because I didn't do anything. Oh my gosh, yes. And now my life right now is just like a jumbly mess. Is what it feels like. Backstory for a second. Your dogs.

SPEAKER_01

That's not even like half the reason why. Oh my room is just like, I don't know. But you do have a lot more going on.

SPEAKER_00

Like with both dogs. Yeah, you guys.

SPEAKER_01

I have two dogs, Bodhi and Maverick. They're both Australian shepherds. And last year, Maverick started having seizures. So I've been dealing with that. He's now diagnosed with epilepsy. And yeah, as you can imagine. And then Bodhi just. And then Bodhi had bladder stones, which I didn't even know that was a thing. And he just had to have like a major surgery. And he's been recovering, and he's like the worst patient to have to do this.

SPEAKER_00

He's so cute though.

SPEAKER_01

He's so like human-like and stubborn, and he doesn't listen, and he just wants to get up and do stuff, and he can't, and he gets mad.

SPEAKER_00

So I do feel like you should give yourself some grace because you do have a lot going on. Yeah. Well, kind of piggybacking off of that. Deleting Instagram. I know that Sabrina and Katie hate to hear this because I am the girl who deletes Instagram probably every three to four weeks. Because what triggers it is like after work. I don't really have a problem with like being on my phone first thing in the morning, like because I am usually like kind of in a rush, but it's after work when I'm just so mentally drained from talking to people all day that I come home and I just want to sit. And it kind of gives you like that false sense of rest. And it's like that's not even like I'm not resting. Like I'm I don't know. I don't even, I can't even get into it. We need to do, I think I have a whole episode of this scheduled, but news to me. I sent you the shared thing. Anyways, we won't fight again. But yeah, deleting Instagram, I it just feels so nice not to have to constantly check it. And I was talking to Liza Lisa today. Sorry, Lisa. I just like messed up her name. But she said something that was so true. She said every time I go on Instagram, I I feel like I'm going on there expecting something to happen. And I'm like, yeah, I actually do feel that. Like, whether that being like, I don't know, someone's gonna message you or you're gonna have like a sale come through, or I don't even know, or you're gonna mean Yeah, essentially. It's like you just are expecting like something to happen and like you have to get on Instagram to like just feel connected and stuff, and then you are literally so disconnected from the world. Yeah. And I'm like, I could be doing so much other stuff with my time. And like these days, we don't I don't think like many people, we don't like just be.

SPEAKER_01

We're always either on our phone. If we're not on our phone, we're watching TV or like some sort of entertainment, even like reading. Like we're never just still.

SPEAKER_00

So I want to be still. Yeah. I want to be bored. So boring.

SPEAKER_01

Turn the TV on. No, usually whenever I'm still, it's usually usually, usually when. Usually, usually, usually. Jeez.

SPEAKER_00

Like if I'm outside like laying in the sun or something. And you always feel so refreshed that day. And it's like that's the real rest. Yeah. Recharging. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And I also, I don't know whose turn it is. I want to start going to the beach more often. And I love being like in the salt water. I feel like that's healing for your skin.

SPEAKER_00

And being in the sun. I love being in the sun. It just feels so good. I don't know. You just feel alive after sitting in the sun. After absolutely getting obliterated by the waves. Yeah. Yeah, I do want to start going to the beach more. I say that. I feel like I say it every year. And I never do just because we live a little far, but I do want to start going and just laying. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I feel like I go often for like photo sessions, but I never, it's usually like for sunset. And so I'm just in a rush to get home.

SPEAKER_00

It is kind of tough though. Like Florida beaches are great, but it's like, okay, right now it's gonna be spring break from like March to April, and people from everywhere are coming down. So the beaches are full. And then you get into summer, busy with summer vacation and stuff. And then by the time like September, October rolls around, you're like September and October are fine. Yeah. Once November, December hits, the water is way too cold. Yeah. And the beaches are kind of nasty. Yeah. Okay. I kind of touched on this one, but okay, this one's a little, I don't know, kind of weird. A little wacky. A little weird. But I said making a spring menu. And the way that I what'd that mean? And then like making a spring rotation. Because the way I cook food or like meals is I feel like I have like three fixation meals. Why does your face look like that? I have like three fixation meals. Three meals that I'm constantly fixation meals. Rotating. And it's always the same thing. And so I just kind of want something like fresh and new and of season. And I feel like that would spring squash for us. Do you guys have any cherry tomato, any uh spring chicken? I don't even know what's in season, but you could use strawberry fresh salad. Yeah, exactly. Like just new things. I need a new rotation, rotation because I've been eaten. I have this meal. I can't even say the names that I call them because I've made up names for them. But I have like this chicken. It's like a almost like a dill garlic chicken. I don't even know what I put on there. And then I make it with sweet potato and then like this garlic sauce, and then I make it over couscous, which is oh, it's phenomenal. It's delicious. It was actually a Hello Fresh meal that I kind of just like piggybacked off of. Yeah, exactly. And then like I make this apple chicken sausage meal with just veggies, and it's just like a sheet pan meal. And then again, couscous. I eat everything over couscous. And then that one beef. Like, yeah. I have two like ground beef meals. They call that boy kibble, you know? Like, you know how there's girl dinner? Yeah. I am ground beef o'clock. Yes, ma'am, it is. It's always ground beef o'clock in my house because you're getting the protein, like it's easy, it's affordable, and you can literally do everything with ground beef. So I have this one recipe where what's actually that TikTok recipe, you guys know it's like the ground beef, it's like taco meat, cottage cheese, sweet potato, avocado with honey over it. And then I have this other one where it's like an Asian-y meal sauce, like a soy-based. Uh, with like, why am I going in such detail? It's uh, it's kind of like a balsamic gleam. A yammy flavor. No, but I'm gonna shut up now about my meals. But yeah, anyways, spring share your meals in the dump. Yeah, sure. I know everyone wants to know. You can share the recipes as well. Okay. Oh, okay. So switching cleaners and detergents to like clean brands. I need to get with Sabrina about this because I she did just tell me a name and I forgot it. I wrote it down somewhere. But I'm pretty sure they are a clean brand and they smell really good. I don't know. I just get so like kind of like you were talking about like the whole like cancer thing and like the food that we eat causes sicknesses. Like it's just so you feel so trapped. Like you feel so trapped because it's like everything, everything we wear, eat, like have on our skin, have on our hair, you name it. Big pharma, you know?

SPEAKER_01

I'm telling you, gosh. No, but honestly.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. So I do want to try to switch to like some clean products. I think the easiest, and Sabrina said this too, is like when you run out, just buy it new. Like, buy a new, like, don't just throw in all your stuff. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I just bought some new cleaners on Thrive Market. I got a new toilet bowl cleaner, floor cleaner, and like an all-purpose cleaner.

SPEAKER_00

Also, we won't go into detail about this. The toilet paper. Yeah, we did get new toilet paper because I did see some videos that scared me. So you can you can look some stuff up.

SPEAKER_01

Just look up toilet paper, colon cancer.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So you'll find what you need. But we got some 100% recycled bath tissue.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so I'm excited for that. I just want to make like little changes. So hopefully I can stick to them. Yeah. That's my problem. I can never stick to anything. You can though. Like changing your cleaners and stuff is simple. Yeah. It's like I feel like that's why I need to start there. Because it is.

SPEAKER_01

However, my like low-tox stuff backfired on me because last time I went to the dentist, I've been using like a fluoride-free toothpaste, like natural. And they're like, yeah, you have two little cavities starting. That's actually really crazy because I do more than most people. And so they told me I had to start using fluoride.

SPEAKER_00

I'm like, I didn't want to use fluoride because they say it causes cancer.

SPEAKER_01

It's a catch-22 for me.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. It's really stressful.

SPEAKER_01

Annoying. Now I have crest freaking. Sorry. Excuse my language.

SPEAKER_02

Now I have crest toothpaste.

SPEAKER_00

Hello. What are you saying? I was saying you can go ahead with your next one. Did I just go? Oh. I need to recommit to reading my Bible every day.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Like lately with my dog problems.

SPEAKER_01

I have been just like not well. Not like I don't I haven't like sat down and had intentional with it.

SPEAKER_00

Like any like, yeah, I feel like you've just been like going, going, going. And I know that their people have bigger problems than their dog having surgery, but it's just been stressful this past week.

SPEAKER_01

Anyways, I want to start. I guess it goes with like doing a morning routine. I want to wake up early, er, read my Bible, start my day like that. I need to start breaking my phone again because I haven't. As soon as I open my eyes, I check my messages. I check what's going on.

SPEAKER_00

And then I just get distracted with everything. So I need to start doing that again. Yeah. Journaling. Yeah. Doing my devotional. Oh, that's on mine. Journal regularly.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Because it's so hard though, because I don't like writing that much. My hand gets tired. Oh my gosh. I was just talking to Demi about this yesterday. Is because we were talking, that's why I put this on the list. Because she was saying, like, how she was like looking back at her journal and like what she wrote, and then like looking at today, and she's like, oh my gosh, like that's when you realize, like, yeah, thank you Jesus. I'm like, or and she was like, there were just like so many answered prayers. And I was telling her, I'm like, oh my gosh, like that inspires me to uh journal regularly again because the specific instance was whenever I was like so stressed. Remember when mom and dad were moving out of the Highland Park house, and I like was living in the house next door, like close to them. So I like didn't want to like be there in that other house, like whenever they moved out of their house. And then I also didn't have a roommate. I didn't have like at the time, I thought, enough money to even buy a house of my own. I didn't want to move into mom and dad's new house because it's like I've been out on my own since I was 17, 18. I just had like my stuff, like I kind of had a little bit of a life established. And I would, I remember like just stressing so much about like, God, where do you have me? Like, where am I going from here? Because I actually don't know. And like, I just need you to tell me something. And I remember looking back, I wrote it down, like I wrote it all down, and I remember looking back and reading that journal entry, like in my home that I bought. And I'm like, Jesus, thank you. She did it again. She did it again. Look at him go. But I'm like, I need to start like writing this, like, whether it's a hardship, whether it's a win, whether it's a whatever, I need to write it down. That way I can look back because I feel like as you're going through it, like you don't, you're just kind of going through the motions. You're like, God, please, where are you? Where are you? But he's with you. Yeah. And you don't even think about it. And you don't, at least me, because I'm selfish and I'm a brat. And I'm like, God, where are you? You're not even helping me. But it's like, bro, he got you. Just take a look around. Yeah, it's like you're you think you're going through the motions, but it's like he has he knows what he's doing. He knows what he's doing. But something I did Amber there for a sec.

SPEAKER_01

Like, I haven't done it a ton, but like instead of just like writing a whole diary thing, I'll just put like things that I'm grateful for. Yeah. Things that make me sad.

SPEAKER_00

And like things that I want and things that I don't have. I do like all of it. And I like that. Because it's just like bullet points.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And I'm just like, I don't know. I felt guilty writing things that like I want. But I think that's gonna be nice to look back on when I get everything I want. Oh wow. No. No, but like looking back on that, seeing like the places that he does provide. And then the things that he says no to.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and it's like the things that you want versus versus what you like what he gave you. And you're like, wow, I was so dumb thinking that I needed that. Yeah. I was gonna say something. Oh, I used to like, whenever someone would be like, hey Amory, can you pray for this, pray for that? I would just like jot that down and then have that in a journal. And every time I prayed for it, I would circle it. So I just have like this prayer journal of like all of these like circled prayers, like every time I'd pray for it. And like looking back, I'm like, oh my gosh, like I had a I was praying for a friend with cancer. He was in remission a couple years later. Like it was just like really cool to look back on what God did. Yeah. I need to start writing prayer requests down.

SPEAKER_01

I never have a pen on hand. So I just started, I'm like, okay, I just have to pray right now to make sure that I like yeah well and I hate telling people, oh, I'm praying.

SPEAKER_00

And like, you're not? Yeah. I try to actually pray for them. Yeah. And if anybody listening has any prayer requests, like feel free to message them. Like we will, like, we would be happy to pray for you. And we started like a Google form.

SPEAKER_01

Pray for us, just in general. Nothing's wrong. And you can send in like messages or whatever, and it's all anonymous. Yeah. So if you want to send any prayer requests, we will pray for you.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, ma'am. Wow, look at us go on the pulpit. Where's my hanky? So this is kind of a long episode, but starting a book. Let's start a book in March. What in the world? Okay, sorry. Oh, I thought I'd stop recording. But yeah, let's start a book in March. And let's hold each other to it. Me and you or everybody? Everybody. Let's go in. Come on. No, I'm starting, or I'm reading currently, I'm 6% in. I'm reading The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins, maybe. Co-worker read it, and then another coworker. What is that called? Recommended it. So I'm reading that right now, kind of let you know how it goes, what the vibes are. But yeah, I'm reading Let Them by Mel Robbins. So my audiobook that I was listening to last episode, or I don't know when TBH.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. Well, it was like due in four days, and I didn't, I was like 10% through. It got returned. I tried to renew my loan and they wouldn't let me because other people were waiting.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. That happened here. That's not my I waited two weeks for this. Yeah, that's not my problem if there's gosh. I'm trying to listen whenever I want to. So I was just listening to Atomic Habits by James Clear and I never even finished it. So well, I just got the hold back. So I need to get on it before it gets taken from me again. Yeah. Revoked. But yeah, I'm gonna start or I'm gonna well, I've basically just started. So I'm gonna read that book in March. And if I come back here in April and it's not read, someone beat me with a stick. Because I need to read a book. My Goodreads is screaming.

SPEAKER_01

That's how it goes for me. Like in January. Well, I didn't even read any physical books thus far. Probably won't, unless it's what I have on my my nightstand stack. But I'm just full throttle in January. Knocking these books out.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Um, I fell off. Yeah. I haven't like you don't have to do anything to listen to an audiobook, but my mind is going to so many places. It's just like someone talking in the background. I'm like, dang, turn it off.

SPEAKER_00

What is this annoying voice? Oh wait, yeah, I'm listening to an audiobook. Well, speaking to listening to things on my list, I have listened to a Spotify, a new Spotify playlist. I feel like on Spotify, you can literally look up any vibe you are wanting and it will give you someone's playlist. Spotify did nail that because I'll try to look up like a specific playlist on Apple music and it gives me absolute garbage. Yeah, I'm like, I don't want to listen to Happy by Pharrell Williams. Why does this keep coming on? Yeah. And it's like they're Apple's fitness hits or something. It is they have the first playlists. Yeah, Spotify, they get it. I was almost thinking about switching to Spotify, but I'm nervous because everything I have is Apple. And I'm like, What do you mean? I don't know. I just like having everything under like the umbrella of Apple. And it's like so like my Apple music will like automatically go to like I don't know, other Apple things. Will Spotify do that? I don't know, but everyone like loves Apple or Spotify. Yeah. Fast from something distracting, such as social media. Yeah. That's a good one. That's a very good one. But we have to post our dump, so that's true. So it will be on Instagram. So my last one is revisit your new year resolutions. Uh honey, I don't even remember that. Actually, come to think of it, I didn't make any this year. Yeah, I don't think I did. I think Yeah, I completely I made like a loose goal for myself, but I have no idea what it was. Wow, what a fraud. I am such a fraud. Revisit. Revisit. How about you make it? I didn't even make any. I usually do make a few. But this year I didn't even write any down because I never keep that. But if you guys made one or a list, revisit it and see how you're doing, check in, see what you need to improve, need to change, or need to start. So yeah. Period. Period. Dot. That is our compiled list of ways that we are going to try to spring clean our life. Let us know if you guys have any ways that you're doing or ways that you're doing. Any cleaning that you're doing, any cleaning tips, physical, spiritual, and mentally.

SPEAKER_01

Let us know.

SPEAKER_00

Anything you're doing to like spring clean your life, let us know. Communicate with us. We never hear from you guys. Yeah, we want to talk to you guys. And like Alyssa said, we are gonna try to incorporate like even like questions. I don't even know if I can answer anyone's question, but like not so much questions. To do like a little advice thing. Not like serious advice, like take it with a grain of salt.

SPEAKER_01

We're no therapist, but I think it would be fun.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. But like anonymous write-ins, I think would be fun. So we're gonna, I think we're soon we are going to do like an embarrassing stories episode. I posted about it today. Oh, you did? So we'll see. Sorry guys, I don't have Instagram. I put it on the highlights. So if you have an embarrassing story, write that in. Because we'll repost it when this episode comes out so you guys can see it. But that's all we have for you today. We are so glad you're here. I say that every time. But yeah, we're glad that you guys are still listening. Hopefully you are. We love you. And leave us a five star review. All right. Bye guys.
