God Loved Me Back to Life: Healing a Broken Heart Through Faith, Pain, and Purpose
In this deeply moving episode of Journey to Loveland, Maronda shares one of the most vulnerable chapters of her life—how she lost everything and found God in the middle of her brokenness. From divorce and starting over at nearly 40, to rediscovering her identity in Christ, this episode is a powerful reminder that your pain is not wasted—it has purpose.
Rooted in scripture and real-life testimony, Maronda walks you through what it truly means to be loved back to life by God. She explores how healing isn’t accidental, but intentional… how God works behind the scenes even when you feel forgotten… and how faith can carry you through your darkest seasons.
If you’ve ever questioned your worth, felt abandoned, or struggled to see God in your pain—this episode will meet you right where you are.
Through verses like Psalm 147:3 and Romans 8:28, you’ll be reminded that God heals the brokenhearted, restores what was lost, and uses every chapter for His greater purpose.
This episode is for the woman who is rebuilding… the one who is hurting… and the one who is ready to believe that healing, love, and restoration are still possible.

💫 Because when women rise together, we change the world.
Hey friends, welcome to the Journey to Loveland podcast. My name is Miranda, and I am super excited that you all are with me on today. If you are returning, hey y'all, hey friends, welcome back. And if you're new here, thank you so much for joining me as I share chapters of my journey from brokenness to love, loving myself, learning to love others in healthy spaces. But my podcast is grounded in the foundation of God's word. It's grounded in the foundation of Scripture. So, you know, as a follower of Christ, our greatest gift is receiving Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and allowing Him to guide our lives. So as I share my story with you all today, I'm going to be sharing scriptures. So get your pen and paper ready because I want you to jot some things down. And I want you to enjoy this time with me because we know that when we're going through things, it's hard to remember if God loves us. Sometimes it clouds our judgment because we're going through so many things. As a believer of Jesus Christ, he never said that we will never go through anything, but he did promise that we he would be with us. He would never leave us nor forsake us. He would be with us in the journeys, the trials, the ups and downs, the good times, the bad. He is here with us and he is carrying us through that. You know, he is walking with us. You see that picture of the footsteps in the sand, and then we finally see there's one set of footsteps because he's carrying us, he's lifting us up, he's carrying that load. He said to lean on me, to trust in me, to rely on me. And we can do that. God says it's not too heavy for me, it's not too much for me. And when I was going through one of the toughest seasons of my life, I wasn't sure if I was going to make it through. But I want to encourage you that God wants to carry you through. What if we thought about what we were going through was a situation where God was not really interested in what we were going through, but he was more interested in changing our hearts. He was more interested in fixing the heart of the matter. You know, it's a heart issue, everyone. God wants to change our hearts. He wants to soften our hearts. He wants us to receive his word. He wants us to know that he is there. He wants us to choose him like he has chosen us. He gives us a choice. So today I will be talking about God loving me back to life when I did not think that I was lovable. I didn't think that he cared about me, but he loved me back to life. He loved me so much that he says, you know what? I want to heal you. And his healing was intentional. It wasn't by accident. You know, again, we go through things. Our pain is not an accident. It has purpose. God has a greater purpose for our pain because he's drawing us closer to him. So as I began to share, or, you know, if you're here with me and I'm sharing the chapters of my life, this was one of the most painful places I had ever been in because I had lost it all. I lost my home, I was laid off, my husband left, I was divorced, you know, I had to start over again, and I was almost 40 years old, and it was devastating for me. And I thought God had forgotten about me. But I want to remind you, when you're going through things, God is always there. So I want to encourage you, if you are not a follower of Jesus Christ on here today, I want to invite you to receive him as your Lord and Savior. Maybe he's using this platform, Journey to Loveland, to draw you back to him, to invite you to receive him as Lord of your life, to invite him into your life. So I want you to pray your quiet time when you have time. Lord, forgive me. I'm a sinner. I receive you as my Lord and Savior. I believe that you died on the cross for my sins, and I want you to guide my life. I need you. I can't do this by myself. The word in Romans 2 and 4 tells us that the kindness of the Lord leads us to repentance. His kindness, his love, his mercy leads us to a place of repentance. Repentance meaning a change of heart. So he wants us again. There's there it is, a heart issue. He's changing our hearts with repentance. He's kind to us, he's loving to us. He's not trying to bully us into accepting him. He's not trying to fear you into accepting him. He's not trying to be like, well, you have to accept me because I'm God. He's giving you a choice. You have free will, you can decide or not. Do I want to serve Jesus Christ or do I not? And so if you're not a follower of him on today, I want to invite you to accept him into your life because he is the greatest thing you can do. That is the best decision you can ever make in your life is to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, because He will bring you through these challenges and you will have, you know, a life full of joy and love and peace. And again, this journey to loveland, loving yourself and allowing God to love you in a place of overflow where that overflowing love you can give to other people. So now you're able to love in healthy spaces, have healthy relationships and healthy interactions with people. Your pain is not uh dictating how you treat others, but it's your experience. It's what you've gone through to bring you closer to him, to make you stronger, to build your faith. And so now you can be a better representative of him. Because you know what God went through. Jesus Christ died on the cross for us. He went through the a pain that none of us will ever experience. He died for us. Who can you say today will die for you, right? So, you know, we know that Jesus Christ loves us. So I want to also remind you that Journey to Loveland is part of the Chicology Podcast Collective, where women come together to heal in the open, grow in truth, and walk forward with courage and compassion. So, thank you all so much for joining me on today for Journey to Loveland. This is chapter seven of my journey, and that today's topic is about God loving me back to life, healing me in a place of my pain and my brokenness. And my healing was not an accident. And I want to encourage you that your healing with God on your side is not an accident. He wants to intentionally heal you, he wants to intentionally change your heart so you can be a representative of him. You can receive his word and his love, you can embrace that giant love letter called the Bible, and you can walk for him and share his story with others. You know, my pain has a purpose. You're here today because my pain has a purpose, because my pain is allowing me to share God's love with you because he was there the whole time. So I want to encourage you. This episode is grounded in Psalm 147 and 3, which says he heals a brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. It is not something that is by accident. His healing is comprehensive. Not only is he concerned about our emotional and spiritual well-being of as people, his healing is not just physical, it also addresses the inner wounds, the inner parts of us, our heart. It addresses the heart issue again. God is not just worrying about our physical healing, healing when we're in the hospital, if we have some type of disease or we have cancer or we have a broken leg or we had surgery, so he's going to heal us. He wants to heal our insides, our emotions. He wants us to be healthy. He wants to heal the inward wounds. God is complete. He doesn't do it halfway. He doesn't halfway heal you and say, oh, okay. No, he said he heals your broken heart and binds up your wounds. So I want you to know that God is all up in it. He wants to be hands-on. He is walking step in step with us in our broken lives and our broken seasons. He applies his own healing balm and salve to your wounds, his love. He is the master physician. And so he wants to heal you. He wants to know that you're going, you're okay. God not only heals us, but he binds up our wounds. In this verse, he offers his hope. He offers a hope of restoration. If you're a believer, you are, you know for sure, for sure that God is attentive to your pain. He's actively working on that. And when you're not in Christ, you're out there by yourself trying to figure it out. And you know, sometimes it works well, sometimes it doesn't. Even as believers, you know, things may not always go the way we plan, but we do know one thing for sure. We know that we can lean on our Father Jesus Christ. We know that He is with us during that time of pain and brokenness. And when I was going through all of that, I was a mess. I was lost. I was disappointed. And honestly, I didn't know what was going to happen next, but I did know that God was with me. And sometimes, you know, it to be honest, in the beginning, I was like, Lord, are you even here? Do you know what's going on? I am going through this. And I kept asking him, Why did this happen? Where were you when I needed you most? But God answered me quietly and said, I was right there, daughter. I was right there with you. And you may be having that same conversation with God. You may be saying, Lord, where were you when I lost my home or when a family member died? Where were you, Lord? And God is saying, You know what? I am right there with you. What I didn't realize back then and what I know now, that God was never absent in my life. He was working quietly behind the scenes, healing me in ways I couldn't even see what was going on. He was working behind the scenes in places that I didn't even know he was working to benefit me in the long run, to benefit my family, to benefit the kingdom in the long run, because healing doesn't always feel like progress. We feel like we're stuck, we feel like things aren't moving, we feel like you know, progress isn't being made, we're crying, we're we're we're um alone sometimes. A lot of times when we're going through something that's very detrimental or very life-changing, we feel alone. And sometimes we need to be alone because we need to process that pain in God's presence. We need to process that pain without onlookers, without an audience, without everybody's too set, because we don't need to hear everybody's input. Only input we need to hear is God. We only need to hear his voice, we only need to hear what he has to say about us. Sometimes that pain looks like you're starting over, like what I had to go through. I had to start over. I lost everything. Again, I was almost 40 years old and I lost everything. My home. I was a newly divorced woman. I was struggling. I didn't know how I was gonna make it. But the progress was trusting God. He said, Will you trust me? Will you trust me in the midst of this pain? Will you trust me in the midst of the heartbreak? Will you trust me in the midst of not knowing where you're gonna live next, where you're gonna be next, what your next job is, where your next meal is coming from? Do you trust me that I will take care of your children? Do you trust me that I will take care of you and that I will hold you in the palm of my hand and make sure that you are going to make it through this? When I was just going through all these changes, healing was writing, it was journaling, it was encouraging other people. Even though I was going through something, I was still encouraging others. I was teaching divorce care at my church. I went and earned my AA degree in biblical studies. I continued to move forward in God, even though I was broken. I was driving home from class crying. I didn't know what was going to happen next, but I trusted God. I was sharing my testimony with others. I was teaching various classes. I was still going to church. I was still worshiping. Then I had my moments where I was angry with God. I had my moments where I didn't want to worship, I didn't want to pray, but I was so thankful that He was there. The Holy Spirit was going to the Father on my behalf. Jesus Christ was going to the Father on my behalf and interceding for me and praying for me. When I couldn't utter a word, the Holy Spirit was uttering words on my behalf. When I couldn't even speak because I was so broken, the Holy Spirit was groaning and moaning on my behalf so I can heal and be in a place of wholeness. I was able to be in a safe space to process my pain in his presence because he was always there. And I, when I was, you know, mentioned before, I wrote through that pain. I was journaling. I'm an advocate of a journaling because I'm a counselor. I feel like it's so important for us to get our pain out. It's very therapeutic to journal and to write things out and to get it out, you know, and process that in writing sometimes. And eventually all that pain turned into a book. I wrote a book in 2021. It came out, it was called From Broken to Bougie. And this uh book, you know, you hear this word bougie, but bougie is an acronym and it stands for um being bold, one of a kind, unbothered, God's girl, intentional and elegant. So it's not a place of arrogance or haughtiness, but it was a place of processing. So I came from a place of brokenness and it transformed me into this person, this bougie, this uh transformation of a whole woman that is now I'm bold. I realize who I am in him. I don't need validation from you because I realize I am one of a kind. I'm unbothered by what other people have to say about me, my situation, what I've been through. I'm God's girl, I'm his daughter, he loves me, he created me. I'm intentional about uh spending time with him. I'm intentional about who I am and how I show up in the world, and I'm intentional about the process. I'm intentional about following Christ and I'm elegant. You know, he always wants us to show up as our best. You know, he didn't say you have to come to me in your best, but he wants us to go out in the world and not be with our heads hung down. I am God's girl, I am a jewel, I am precious to him, I am his princess, I'm a royal priestess, I'm elegant. That's where that bougie came from. If you want the book, it's on Amazon. It's called From Broken to Bougie. And I'll also put the link down in the show notes, but that's where all of that brokenness, and sometimes your brokenness can lead to a business. Your brokenness can lead to a book, it can lead to a podcast, it can lead to you being a camp leader or a teacher or whatever it looks like. Sometimes your brokenness will turn into purpose for God in the kingdom to share his goodness, to share his love, to share your story with others. So I want to encourage you, you know, that your brokenness, your pain is not in vain. Allow God to turn that into purpose for the kingdom and for helping others. And I pray that this podcast is helping you as I am inviting you to see God, to connect with God, to get to know him and for yourself. And if you are a Christian, if you've fallen away, get to know him again. I've had to do that throughout my walk with Christ. I'm not gonna sit here and say I've been perfect throughout these years. I've had to get to know him again because I've fallen away and done my own thing because of anger, because of bitterness, because of sin. And I uh was out there doing my own thing, and I have to come back, and you know what? Thankfully, he embraced me with open arms. He said, daughter, come on home. And I'm so grateful for God's grace and goodness. Not to say that I didn't have my challenges, and I did, and we all do, we all go through things, but God embraced me and I am here today to again there is hope in the ups and downs of life, there is repentance, there is salvation, there is healing, there is love in our ups and downs of life because God is not expecting us to be perfect, but he's expecting us to be intentional and to continue to progress and to move forward towards him every day. So I want to share another scripture with you. It's Romans 8.28. And it says, And we know that all things work together for good of those who love God, to them who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8.28 gives believers unshakable confidence. It says that our sovereign Lord actively orchestrates every circumstance for the ultimate good for those who love him, because he has called them into a plan that cannot fail. God cannot fail. So whatever you're going through, God has called you into a plan that he has for you. We may not know what that plan is, and it could be like, God, what is really going on? But just know he will never fail you. Whatever enters our lives is lovingly bent toward his perfect purpose and our eternal blessing. God has a purpose for our pain. We are to purposefully live, not to haphazardly live our lives, right? When you wake up every morning, you want to pray and ask God, what do you have for me to do today? Lord, show me who do I need to speak to? Who do I need to bless today? Show me what I can't see with my regular eyes. Help me to see through your eyes. Help me to hear with your ears. Who do I need to intentionally pursue today? Let your lives be a reflection of intentional, purpose-filled living that aligns with God's will and reflects his glory. You know, you want your life as a Christian, as a follower, as a believer to reflect God's glory and to be intentional. You want to align with his word and his will for your life so you can be out there and actively share the gospel, actively help somebody who is in need, actively be a blessing to someone else and speak an encouraging word into someone's life. You don't want to just be all over the place and miss the miracles, miss the blessings, miss all the goodness that God has, even for you on a daily basis, not just for you to share with others, but what about for you, for you to enjoy God's presence and you know, be intentional about sitting in his presence every day. Be intentional about getting up and praying every day. Be intentional about listening to his voice and knowing his voice. And, you know, just like you know your child's voice, right? If you have children, when they call you, you know that's them. You know that's their voice, you know that's their cry, you know that's them saying, Mom, I need you, mom, help me. If you have a friend or you or your spouse, you know their voice, right? So we know God's voice when we intentionally spend time with him. And I want to encourage you as to seek and understand God's purpose for your life, knowing that whatever you're going through, that parts of your life are a part of his larger divine plan. So I want you to know that. I want you to be encouraged with that. We have to have faith when we're going through trials. When we don't have faith, going through a trial can be devastating. But when you have faith going through a trial, you can still have joy. You can still have peace. You can still be kind to others, you can still show up with a look that it's like, girl, I didn't know you were going through that. I didn't know you were going through a divorce. I didn't know you were going through that heartbreak. I didn't know you lost a loved one. But when you have faith and trust God that, you know what, I know I'm going through this right now, but my daddy is with me. Faith is a central theme to a Christian's life. Reflecting the believer's trust in God amidst our adversity is what we need to be doing. We need to be reflecting God's love, trusting him in the midst of everything that we're going through. When we can trust God in the midst of a traumatic situation, our faith is being built, our faith is being strengthened. And then we're able to share that with others. So they'll know if she got through it, if he got through it, I know I can too. I know I can get through it. With Christ, I can do all things. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, through Christ who strengthens me. Not through your own strength, but through Christ. I can do all things. I can get through this season of life. I can get through this heartbreak and pain. I can get through this uh momentary illness, this momentary sickness, or this momentary shift in my life. I can get through it because guess what? My daddy is with me. As we're going through, God is demonstrating that you can trust me. You can trust me through this because my demonstration, my goodness, my faithfulness is being put on display when you're going through this and you can have faith and you can lean on me through this trial. You're not looking all pitiful and sad and all on social media telling your business and complaining and trying to make yourself look a certain type of way and prove something to the world. You don't have anything to prove to other people. You don't have to show them, oh, well, I'm gonna get through this, I'm gonna get through this. It's none of their business. You know, when you are going through something, you don't have to put it on social media because when you're getting all this junk, all this feedback from other people, that's not helping you. That's not helping your situation, that's not gonna help you get through it. Just like I mentioned to you before, when God brought me to a place, brought me back to life again, because I was in a dead place. I didn't know if I was gonna make it through. To me, it was a dead place. But God was like, this is my perfect opportunity to resurrect her, to bring her back to a healthier place, a better place, even though I thought I wasn't gonna make it and I didn't know what I was gonna do, and I was so distraught. God was like, you know what? I have so much more for you, but you just need to lean into me. You need to rely on me, you need to look towards the heels from which cometh your help. Your help comes from God. So I want you to encourage you today that if you're going through something right now, look towards the heels. Look up and cry out, Jesus. That's a one-word prayer. That's one of the most powerful prayers that you can pray is look up and say, Jesus. Jesus, you might be on your knees, you might be looking down, you might be on your bed. Jesus, cry out to him because he hears you and he is near the brokenhearted, he binds up your wounds. When you cry out to him, he hears you. He turns, he's like, That's my daughter crying, crying out, that's my son crying out. Let me see what they're what they need, let me see what they want. I want to help them. God takes pleasure in doing things for us, he takes pleasure in helping us, and he wants to help us because it's for his glory and for our goodness. So, you know what? God wants to be there for you, God wants to be there to help you to get through this. This is a teachable moment. Everything shifted in my life when I stopped asking, why did this happen to me? And I started asking, God, what are you doing in me through this? Not why did this happen to me, woe is me, oh my gosh, how dare God allow this to happen. But Lord, what are you doing in me through this? You know, that particular change in perspective shifted how I decided to show up every day and how I was uh deciding to go through the process of the pain that I had was going through, the loss that I had experienced. Now I know that, you know. What God is doing something in me that's gonna be better than everything that I've gone through. So, and I want to encourage you. That's been 15 years ago that I went through that, and I want to encourage you where I am today is far better than where I thought I was gonna be. God has done a miraculous work in my life that is so life-changing that sometimes it's hard to believe, like, wow, Lord, really you did this for me? You remembered me. It brings tears to my eyes sometimes when I think about how good God has been to me. And it's like, Lord, you would do that for me. You remembered me. You didn't forget about me. But during that waiting, during that season, that 14 years to where I am today, God was doing something in my life. He was changing my perspective and my mindset about different things. He was drawing me closer to him. You know, I was able to mature and grow. I went back to school. I've earned a few certifications. I was able to be a better mother, a better person, a better representative for Christ. And I was able to just really understand who I was as a Christian and who I was in Christ. What was my purpose here on this earth? So instead of me feeling all down and woe was me, I realized that God was growing me through it all. Through it all, God was growing me. He wasn't leaving me for dead. He didn't say, forget about Miranda. I don't care. I don't care what she goes through. Oh well, too bad, so sad. He was like, No, I want to grow her. I want to strengthen, build her faith. I want her to know who I really am. I want to, I want her to know my character, that I am Savior, that I am Lord, that I am provider, that I am healer, that I am way maker, that I am miracle worker. He wanted me to know his character, not just reading the word just be just to be reading it, but that's true. He is my source, he is my provider, he is my way maker, he is my healer, he is Alba, he is my daddy, he is everything. Okay. So it wasn't about, oh, I just read the word. I don't know anything about God because I don't know him, but I know him. Now I know him. You know, when you go through something, it's like, I know what that feels like. I know what that's about. How can you really, you know how they say, like, oh, how are you gonna listen to somebody about marriage and get counseling from a marriage counselor when they're not even married, when they've never even been in a marriage, when they've never experienced, how do you can you listen to someone talking about, oh yeah, I understand how you feel losing a loved one when they've never lost someone close to them, when they've never understood the heartache of death, losing a child or a parent. You can't tell me nothing, right? So God allows this so we can go out and witness to others and say, Hey, I know how you feel when you lost your job because it happened to me as a counselor, I'm a school counselor, I'm able to share with parents when they tell me, Oh, I lost my job or I'm getting a divorce. I'm able to be like, you know what, I understand. I understand how you're feeling. You know what? I'm so sorry that you're going through that. I'm praying for you. So they're able to be like, oh, I'm not alone in this. Somebody else understands. God understands, he knows, and he will use again your pain, all that heartbreak, you're like, oh my gosh, this is for nothing. No, it's not for nothing. It's for the glory of God. And if you're in a season right now where you feel broken or confused or in between, I want you to hear me clearly. God has not forgotten about y'all. He has not forgotten about you. Your healing is not random, your story is not wasted, and this season is not the end. Through my story, you're able to hear God's glory, you're able to see God's goodness, and he wants to love you back to life like he did for me, everybody. I want you to know he wants to love you back to life. I want to take a moment today, and I want you to sit with this question. I want to ask you a question. Where has God been present in your life, even when you didn't recognize it at the time? Maybe it was through a closed door, maybe it was through distance, maybe it was through something not working out, a relationship coming to an end, a job not coming through for you, you know, an opportunity not uh manifesting itself. Write it down. Because when you reflect, you begin to see how God is at hand in your life more clearly. When you begin to again to journal to write things down, you're able to see how God is really orchestrating things in your life and turning them around for your good. And you're like, oh, now I see that he allowed their relationship to come to an end because he wasn't good for me. Oh, I know why he closed that door to that job because he had a better job over here waiting for me and a better place. Oh, now I know why I didn't get that house because guess what? I got a bigger house over here, and guess what? It was half the price. God is moving in our on your behalf, he has not forgotten about you. And I want to also share with you another scripture, a foundational scripture, which was the center of my healing. And I had to remind myself, remember who I am in him. Remember who God said I am in him, is John 3 16, and it says, For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever whosoever believeth in him should not perish and have everlasting life. This kind of love, everybody, is not a conditional love. It's not a love that, oh, you know, somebody tells you, Well, I only love you if you do this. No, it's not if you do anything. It doesn't leave you when things get hard, it doesn't leave you when you're broken or when you're going through something and you're not your best. It meets you right where you are. God love reminds us, it reminded me, no matter the pain I was going through, this what I was going through was not a punishment. It was God's purpose. We are reminded through the trials of Abraham, Job, and Joseph that we can trust God in our trials. You know what Abraham went through. He was like, you know, took his son up on the mountain. He was like, Lord, where is the sacrifice? Am I gonna have to sacrifice my child? And God provided. That's why they say, you know, he is provider. Jehovah Jirah, that's where that came from. Job, he lost it all and God restored and did so much more. Joseph went through what he went through, and it's like, Lord, okay, so we're going through all of these things, and God is like, you can trust me. You can trust me through that trial. You can trust me when you don't know what it looks like on the other side. Faith in trials is not merely passive endurance, but it's an act of trust in God's promises and in his character. We can trust his character that he's a man that he shall not lie. We can trust his word. We can trust that. You know what? God is a man of his word. I can trust that. I can take it to the bank. It involves believing that God is sovereign, good, and is working all things out for our ultimate good. In Romans 8.28. This faith is anchored in the assurance of God's presence and the hope of eternal life through Jesus Christ. If you are saved on today, you understand what I'm saying. But if you're not saved, again, I want to invite you to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Before we end this podcast on today, I've shared with you how I've gone through it. But I wouldn't have been able to make it through and be here where I am today with a smile on my face, with love in my heart, wanting to love more, wanting to be better, wanting to do God's work on this earth if he had not had brought me through. Because the world can be a very evil and brutal place. And without him, it can be terrifying. But with him, there's no fear. What can man do to me? If God before me, what can a mere man do to me? Nothing. Because God is my savior, he is my protector, he is my provider, he is my source. Yes, I might go through some things, but guess what? I'm not alone. And our greatest gift as a Christian is to be born again and to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and the head of our life. So I want to invite you again, if you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, that real love is in Christ Jesus, real peace and real healing is available to you. If you say, Lord, I receive you as my Lord and Savior, forgive me of my sins. I have sinned and I accept you and I believe that you died on the cross for my sins. I want you to pray that and know that Jesus wants to love on you and He wants to heal you back to life. He wants to bring you out of that dark place and he wants to give you a story that you can share with others to give them hope as well. So let's pray. God, thank you for being close to us, even in the moments we didn't feel you. Thank you for being our healer, for binding up our broken places and our hearts, and for never leaving us in our pain. God, for the men and women listening right now who feel overwhelmed, hurt, who feels like they're still trying to put themselves back together, remind them, Lord, that you are with them, Lord God, that they don't have to do this alone. They don't have to put themselves back together because you are the potter, that you put them on the potter's will. You have a purpose and a plan for them. Remind them that their healing matters and that they matter to you, Lord God, that nothing's too hard for you, Lord God, that their pain is not wasted, Lord God. What they've gone through is not wasted, Lord God, and help them to trust you in the process. And when they don't fully understand, we thank you that you are there to love us through it. We don't have to have it figured out. You didn't ask us to figure it out, Lord. You just asked us to trust you, to lean on you, Lord God, because your love restores, it renews, it heals, and it brings us back to life. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
