Hello, welcome to the Maple Cat Chat. Today we are here with some first graders to talk about the Savannah. We are so glad you are here. Every habitat is special. Let's get the habitat scoop to find out why this home is just right for the plants and animals who live here.

SPEAKER_00

There are a lot of animals. Acacia trees are the most important. The savannah has some flowers. The savannah doesn't have many trees. So savanna does not have much water.

SPEAKER_02

It sounds like the savanna is just right for the plants and animals that live there. It has food, water, and plenty of shelter. This just in, we have some amazing animals to tell you about.

SPEAKER_00

Squeak roar and splash here we come for the facts. The lion has a lot of hair by its head. Baby lion comes to weigh about 1.5 kilograms. The hippo is gray. The hippo has sharp teeth. The elephant is the biggest animal.

SPEAKER_02

Wow, those are some amazing animals. Before we go, let's remember the three things animals need to survive in their habitats. Would you like to live in the savannah?

SPEAKER_01
