Good morning, this is Northword.

There is a critical difference between running away and moving forward. And God knows exactly which one you're doing. Good morning, this is Northword, the Word, the North, your Week, a daily podcast from St. John's Fort Smith in collaboration with the Anglican family. I'm your host, Father Aaron. And we have to be careful here because this teaching can be easily misused. But there is a real difference between running and transitioning. Running is moving on before you've moved in. It is escaping before God's work in you is complete. It is changing your circumstances without changing yourself. Transitioning is something entirely different. Transitioning is moving on because God's work in that season is finished. It is leaving because the blessing has been received and a new calling is beginning. Some of you need to stay. That job you want to quit, God may not be done teaching you there. That difficult relationship, not abusive, difficult, may be the very place God is growing your character. That leadership role you want to escape may be the refining fire God is using to shape who you are becoming. But some of you need to leave. An abusive situation is not a season God is asking you to endure. A role that is genuinely crushing your spirit may be something God is calling you to lay down. Stepping aside from leadership with grace and integrity when the season is complete is not failure, it's faithfulness. The question is never simply should I stay or should I go? The question is, have I moved in before I move on? This has been North Word, The Word, the North Your Week, a daily podcast from St. John's Fort Smith in collaboration with the Anglican family. Today, bring that question to God directly and honestly. Have I received what you have for me, or am I just running? And use the text us link in the description to reach out. We would love to hear from you and where you are on your journey. Until tomorrow, God be with you.
