Tapestry of Faith: God is Still Weaving
Women carry so many threads ... faith, identity, motherhood, purpose, relationships, seasons of waiting, whispered prayers, and dreams that still ache to be lived.
Tapestry of Faith is a place for women to gather those threads and explore what God is weaving in the unseen. Through honest conversations, personal reflections, and stories of resilience and becoming, we talk about the journey toward wholeness ... spiritually, emotionally, and relationally.
Some episodes feel like sitting with a friend who understands. Others feel like having a mentor speak life into a weary season. And sometimes, we’re joined by women who share the threads God has woven through their own lives.
If you’re longing for clarity, belonging, restoration, or spiritual strength in the middle of real life ... you’re in the right place. You’re not late. You’re not alone. God is still weaving.

God is still weaving. 🤍
Hi everyone, and welcome back to Tapestry of Faith. God is still weaving. I am so grateful you're here today. This conversation is really just that a conversation, a space where we can slow down and talk honestly about how God is weaving in our lives through both the beautiful and the hard threads. And today I'm joined by someone really special. Brenda, Brenda Vega, welcome. I'm so glad you're here. How are you? I am so well.
SPEAKER_01Susan, it is so good to see you and so good to be with you again. It's been a minute since we talked, and so I'm just really excited to just be with you today.
SPEAKER_00Thank you. Thank you so much. I'm so excited for you to be here and to share today. And Brenda, we're just gonna dive right in. I want to start by asking you this. Where do you feel God is weaving in your life right now?
SPEAKER_01Whoa, that's a that's a deep question. Just so many places. Um, as you know, I am still pastoring, uh, actively pastoring a ministry. So God is always, you know, in the very that's the reason that we do what we do. Um just ministering to people, ministering to people that are hurt and lost and celebrating with people who are overcoming. Um, just all of these areas that I get to be, get to be a part of and and just live life uh with people. There's also my business as well, and my business is one, you know, it's almost kind of wrong to call it a business, because it is it is just really an extension of my ministry. You know, there were there were many years ago I was as I was ministering, I was traveling, I was preaching and teaching and doing all the things, women's conferences, and uh God spoke to me and He said, Your ministry is not just within these four walls. I want you to take your ministry to the marketplace. And that was an extreme, that was kind of scary to me. I'm like, uh marketplace, God, but I'd always been a closet entrepreneur, right? Uh you know, always had a side gig, skincare products, or uh one year I had a Christmas, I was making Christmas wreaths and selling them at different uh events and just things like that. I've always had this entrepreneurial spirit and just a real love for uh women who were making things happen in the marketplace, and so God just kind of moved my ministry there, um, as well as you know, the church. There's also the greater kingdom uh audience, right? And God was like, I want you to raise up my kingdom CEOs, raise up these divine women and unleash them on the world, right? Because that is where influence lies. Yeah, we can preach and we can teach and in our little church boxes, and I love that, but I know that God is bigger than just that. I told us in Matthew to go out into all the world and make disciples, right? Yes, declare his good news, you know, show where faith will make you whole. Um, and so I get really excited about that. That's what God is weaving in my life right now.
SPEAKER_00Beautiful, beautiful. That is beautiful. Thank you for sharing. And what has the season been like for you? Like you've you've shared a little bit here about excitement, but I'm sure there's been some other feelings, emotions that as women we all experience when God is is weaving these threads in our lives. What's this season? What's the season been like for you?
SPEAKER_01Well, it's been a season of transparency and vulnerability. And those are some things, you know, when you're the leader, those are not really your natural go-tos, right? You know, you don't want to be you don't want to be vulnerable because you've got all these people that are depending on you, right? So, but I have found that God is like, yeah, just just rip the band-aid off and let them see who I created you to be. So it's been a season for me of uh just vulnerability and and just uh just being transparent in who I am and what I've been through. I'm typically a very introverted type person that can become the extrovert when she needs to be. Um, but God is just saying, no, no more, no more of that introverted stuff. This is a season where I just I want people to see the struggles, the trials, because when they see the struggle and the trials, they will see the transformation. And He is the God of transformation.
SPEAKER_00Amen. Amen. In thinking through that transformation, Brenda, think about a moment where you going back to what you shared, where you saw God show up in that.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I've had so many moments where if it had not been for the Lord, I really don't know where I would be. You know, uh, I share, and let me just show you this as a part of my season. I am now a number one best selling author. Yeah, the book, Genius Unleashed, um, launched last week. I believe it was last yeah, it's been a whole week now, and it was number one in two or three categories on Amazon. And so I'm really excited about that. And I share even in my story, it's a compilation of 13 stories of some amazing women who have overcome and are in the process of becoming. And one of the things that I share in my story, I think one of the hardest places was, you know, I've when I was in a marriage that just didn't work anymore. And you know, the one thing, especially when you have children, you want to protect those little ones with everything that is in you, right? You I and I I was like, I will never, I just I'll just suffer. I won't, I won't break this family up. But then some things became very physical, and I was like, now, okay, God, uh, this is where I draw the line. I am your daughter, and you did not create me for this. And so I did. We we separated and divorced, and it was very, very difficult just going forward and raising my children um so that they would be strong and resilient, and that's what I wanted, and so I did. I remarried and we began the ministry, and you know, the rest is kind of history, but it's been a beautiful thing, but God had to show up for me, right?
SPEAKER_00Right, and you know, during that time too, and thank you, Brenda, for just your vulnerability and transparency. So many women out there, I'm sure, can relate. And whether it's during this time of the adversity for you or maybe another adversity, but I'm curious like, was there ever a lie that God replaced with truth in that particular season?
SPEAKER_01Absolutely, absolutely, and you know the lie is the big lie that the enemy tells all of us. You're not good enough, yeah, you're unqualified, you're disqualified. I had to go through a lot of that, you know, feeling disqualified to serve God. Oh, because look at your own sin. I'm like, well, you know, but God said, and that's how God speaks to me. What did I say? Right. This is this is what the Holy Spirit asks me. What did I say? I know what the world says. I know the enemy says, you're disqualified, you're, you know, you're whatever, you're fallen, you're in sin, you're not enough, you know. And all women go through this at some place of their life. You're not tall enough, you're not pretty enough, you're not, you know, you're not white enough, you're not, you know, you're not whatever enough. And it comes at us through the media, through other people, through old wives' tales, through all just ignorance. But God said, What did I say? And that's what I do. I go to the word of God when I'm feeling some kind of you know, feelings of inadequacy or rejection or you know sadness or unworthiness. I run to the word of God and I say, God, what did you say? And when I open it up, I look at Psalm 139 that says, You are fearfully and wonderfully made. I I go and I look at Deuteronomy that tells us you're the head and not the tail, yeah above only and not beneath, right? I love it. I go to Psalm 138 that says, you know, I will perfect that which concerneth thee. Yeah, right? And I and I and I'm rebuilt. I just and I can reject the lies that come at us from society and people uh and culture and all of that, and I can just focus in and say, you are the creator. What is it that you are saying? Oh if God said it, if God said it, then I can believe it. His word shall never pass away, right? Heaven and earth will pass away, but his word will not pass away.
SPEAKER_00Amen. Amen. Love, love, love that, Brenda. What would you say to a woman who might be in a similar season? And I know you you spoke to a few of your own, but what would you say to a woman who might be in a similar season right now?
SPEAKER_01Well, I say to anybody who's in a season of what they consider struggle or a hard place, I hear that word a lot. It's hard, it's hard, it's hard. The first thing I do is I listen, allow people to express their emotions. That's why we have them. And then I'm serious, I'm asking them, well, let's see what God said. Right? If they're a believer, if they're not a believer, it's a little more difficult. Then you gotta pull out all kinds of psychology and this and that and the other to get them around to you know listening to some wisdom. But if you're a believer, I'm asking them, let's see what God said about your situation. And I remind them, number one, you're never alone. Never alone. Right? You might not have your girlfriends, you might not have your sister, you might not have, you know, the boyfriend, the husband, whatever, but you're never alone because you've got the Spirit of God, right? And he dwells in you and resides in you. Number one, you're never alone, and number two, let's look at let's look at your words. Let's look at because your words, you know, what you think about, you speak about. And what you speak about, you bring about. Good or evil. So we talk a lot about the power of words, which is just a reflection of of what's happening in your heart and in your mind. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. So we do some word work, right? And we we have to do some word work, and and make sure that our words are lining up with the thing that we do want, and not just rehearsing the thing that we don't want. Oh powerful, right? It's so easy to talk about what they did to me, how they treated me, what they said about me, how they hurt my feelings. I mean, we can live in that place, right? Right? You know, and we gotta call everybody up. Girl, do you know what they said? We're on the phone. Do you know what she said about me? And we rehearse it and we rehearse it and we nurture those feelings and keep them alive. I would say starve those feelings. Don't even, don't even give them the light of day. But then, so then that takes some discipline, and sometimes you got to have somebody to help you, somebody to remind you to watch what you say. And uh uh, and I just teach them that you can't walk around talking about, oh, that person, they make me sick, or they get on my nerves, and they they might, but let's not talk about that. Let's talk about the fact that you know what, I'm going to a better situation, I'm moving ahead, I'm coming up. I am I am releasing all of the old and I am becoming new.
SPEAKER_00Say that instead, right? Oh my goodness, I love that so much. Wow. Oh my gosh, Brenda. Before we wrap up, I'd I'd love to ask you this. Kind of continuing on the the thread that we were just on. What would be one thing, just one thing, that you would want a woman listening today to walk away remembering? Hmm.
SPEAKER_01I guess what I said about in Psalm 139, that you really, really are fearfully and wonderfully made. There is no one else like you. Just like your fingerprint is unique, so is everything about you. Your personality, the way you see things, your giftings, your callings, all of these things are uniquely yours. That's what I would say to any woman. And the thing about it is, we as women have to overcome so much of society's garbage that, you know, and it's not everybody, but it's still in our society that women are second-class citizens, that women aren't as good as men, and women, and it's not about being like a man, it's just you be you and let him be him, right? And so there's no competition there. But society tells us that you know, men are better, men are smarter, men are this and that and the other. And I'd say, no, men are just men, they got their things to do, but you got your things to do, right? And I take them to Proverbs 31 and I say, look at this Proverbs 31 woman. She was amazing. This woman was an entrepreneur, this woman was a manufacturer, this woman was an investor, a real estate mogul. She was, she had vineyards, she had, and it describes her wearing purple and scarlet clothing, which are the colors of kings and queens, right? She was absolutely amazing, and she was actually the model for just my business, where uh the divine woman unleashed, and she is you are just to your audience, you are divine, you are amazing and wonderful, and so I just uh I just want to encourage women um to just be you, be all the glorious you that you are, be unleashed on this world, they won't see you coming, and you thought and you just you just rule and reign like the queen that you are.
SPEAKER_00Wow, that's what it and what an incredible chapter, scripture to anchor all of this in Proverbs 31. Of course, you shared some other scriptures earlier, so if you missed that, go back and capture those scriptures Brenda dropped a few moments ago. Um, Brenda, this has been incredible, incredible. I know, and again, congratulations on your book. Um again, if anyone would like to get a copy of the book, they can go to Amazon.
SPEAKER_01They can go to Amazon, but better, they go to my website at uh www.brendabega coaching solutions.com, and you will find on the website this is where I work with uh Christian basically, but women of faith who are entrepreneurs who are birthing something in the in this world, they're birthing something in that spiritual womb that's going to come forth and bless others in this world. They have gifts and callings and solutions to other people's problems, and what they need is a mentor who sees them for who they are, who can uplift their faith. They don't want just business coaching, they're tired of just the fluff of business coaching, but they need somebody who's going to help them to wear the mantle that they that they were created to wear.
SPEAKER_00Beautiful. And that website again is Brenda Vega, V E G A. Coaching Coaching Solutions.com. There we go. So go check out her website. I'm sure they can connect with you there. They could get a copy of your book there, and I'm sure there's other options there as well. And before we wrap up, I believe you're planning something coming up in May. You want to mention that briefly?
SPEAKER_01Yes, I'm planning a summit where we're going to bring together 10 powerful women who are uh spiritual mentors, they are business mentors, they are coming together, and we're going to help our ladies who those who attend the summit go from the altar where they're praying and worshiping and loving God, but feel called to the marketplace as well. So we're going to go from altar to empire. And uh yes, I am so excited about this. And I will be giving more information to your audience as we as we hopefully as we get closer to that. Wonderful.
SPEAKER_00Now, is this virtual or in person? It's going to be virtual. Virtual? Awesome. Regardless of where you are, right? Yes, yes. You can participate. And I'm also assuming once more details, uh, you'll be you'll be sharing those on your website as well. Absolutely. Absolutely, yes. Beautiful, beautiful. And I believe you had something else you wanted to share with the listeners today before we wrap up.
