Holy Week can easily pass like any other week …

full schedules, responsibilities, and things pulling on our attention.

But this week isn’t just something we observe ...
it’s something we’re invited to step into.

In this episode, we slow down and reflect on what this week represents … and how, even when things didn’t look the way people expected, God was still at work.

And the same is true in our lives today.

If something in your life right now doesn’t make sense …
if things haven’t unfolded the way you thought they would …

maybe the invitation isn’t to figure it all out ...
but to stay present and trust that God is still moving.

Take a few moments … slow down … and don’t miss what this week holds for you. 🤍

Hi everyone, welcome back to Tapestry of Faith. I'm Susan D. Crum and I'm really glad you're here. This is a space where we have real conversations about faith, life, and the in-between seasons we don't always talk about. This week is a little different. We are in Holy Week. And if we're not careful, it can pass just like any other week. Full schedules, responsibilities, things pulling on our attention. And before we know it, we've moved through something sacred without ever really stepping into it. And that's what I want to talk about today. There's something about this week that invites us to slow down. Not just physically, but internally. To pause long enough to notice what's happening, to reflect, to remember. Because when you really look at this week, things didn't unfold the way people expected. There were assumptions, hopes, ideas of how everything would go. And then things began to shift. And if we're honest, we've all had moments like that in our own lives. Moments where something didn't work out, where plans changed, where what we thought would happen didn't. And we're left sitting in that space of wondering, why didn't this happen the way I expected? Did I miss something? Is something wrong? And what's interesting is in the middle of all of that uncertainty, God was not absent. He was actually doing some of his most important work. But from the outside, it did not look like it. And I think that's the part we struggle with because we tend to measure what God is doing by how things look, by how things feel, by whether or not it's making sense yet. And maybe that's where you are right now. Something in your life does not look the way you thought it would. Something didn't unfold the way you expected. And you've been trying to make sense of it, trying to figure it out, trying to understand what it means. But what this week reminds us is that not everything God is doing will be immediately visible or understandable or comfortable. And that doesn't mean he's not working. It just means we're being invited to trust him in a deeper way. So instead of rushing through this week, instead of trying to figure everything out, what if the invitation is simply this? To be present, even just a few minutes each day, to pause, to sit with Him, to reflect, not to have all the answers, but to stay connected to the one who does. Because even when things looked uncertain, even when it didn't make sense, God was still at work. And the same is true in your life right now. You may not see it yet, you may not understand it yet, but that doesn't mean he's not moving. So don't rush past this week. There's something here for you. And if this is something you're walking through right now, I would love to stay connected with you. I share more of these conversations on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. That's where I'm showing up consistently and sharing more of this journey. You can just look for me, Susan D. Crum, and come say hi. I'd truly love to hear from you. And if you ever feel led to reach out, my messages are always open.
