Life can feel full …

but not always in the ways that actually matter.

In this episode, we bring together everything we’ve been talking about this week... trusting the story God is writing, reconnecting with yourself, releasing the pressure to carry everything, and creating space for what truly matters.

Because the life you’ve been longing for …

doesn’t come from doing more.

It comes from letting go of what no longer aligns …

and making space for a deeper, more intentional way of living.

Hi everyone, welcome back to Tapestry of Faith. I'm Susan D. Crum, and I'm so glad you're here. I want to talk to you today about something that I think a lot of us feel, but don't always stop long enough to really look at. And it's this the sense that life feels full, but not always in the ways that actually matter. You're showing up, you're doing what needs to be done. You're carrying responsibilities, keeping things moving, taking care of people, and from the outside, it might look like everything is fine, but internally there's this quiet sense of something feels off. Not because you're doing something wrong, but because you've been caring so much for so long that you haven't had the space to reconnect with yourself or with God in a way that feels real and grounded. And that's really what this week has been about. Learning to trust the story God is writing, even when we don't fully understand it. Reconnecting with yourself and with him in the middle of real life, not outside of it. And slowly beginning to release the pressure to carry everything on your own and instead letting him lead. But here's where it becomes real because you can't step into that kind of life without creating space for it. And creating space doesn't always mean adding something new. A lot of times it means letting something go. Something you've been holding on to, something you've been saying yes to, something that's been taking your energy that no longer aligns with where you're going. And that's not always easy because the things we're carrying aren't always bad, they're just a lot. And over time, that a lot becomes normal until one day you realize you're exhausted, disconnected, and wondering why you feel so far from the life you actually want. But the life you've been longing for, the deeper, more intentional life, doesn't come from doing more. It comes from creating space for what actually matters. And that's where letting God lead becomes so important. Because when you're carrying everything, there's no room for Him to guide you. But when you begin to release, even just a little, you start to notice something shift. You feel more present, more grounded, more aware of what matters and what doesn't. Not because your life suddenly became perfect, but because you're no longer trying to hold it all together on your own. So maybe today looks like this. You pause, you take an honest look at what you've been carrying, and you ask yourself, what is no longer mine to hold? What can I begin to release? Where do I need to create space so I can actually step into the life I've been asking for? Not someday, not when everything is figured out, but now, in small, intentional ways. Because the life you're longing for isn't as far away as it feels. It just requires space. Space to breathe, space to connect, space to be led instead of carrying it all yourself. And you don't have to do it all at once, you just have to start. And if this is something you're walking through right now, I would love to stay connected with you. I share more of these conversations on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. That's where I'm showing up consistently and sharing more of this journey. You can just look for me, Susan D. Crumb, and come say hi. I'd truly love to hear from you. And if you ever feel led to reach out, my messages are always open.
