Tapestry of Faith: God is Still Weaving
Women carry so many threads ... faith, identity, motherhood, purpose, relationships, seasons of waiting, whispered prayers, and dreams that still ache to be lived.
Tapestry of Faith is a place for women to gather those threads and explore what God is weaving in the unseen. Through honest conversations, personal reflections, and stories of resilience and becoming, we talk about the journey toward wholeness ... spiritually, emotionally, and relationally.
Some episodes feel like sitting with a friend who understands. Others feel like having a mentor speak life into a weary season. And sometimes, we’re joined by women who share the threads God has woven through their own lives.
If you’re longing for clarity, belonging, restoration, or spiritual strength in the middle of real life ... you’re in the right place. You’re not late. You’re not alone. God is still weaving.

Maybe This Is Your Sign to Begin
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Sometimes we think change has to be dramatic.
A giant leap.
A major breakthrough.
A complete life overhaul.
But what if the things that change our lives most are actually much smaller than that?
A conversation.
A prayer.
A boundary.
A decision.
One small brave step.
In this episode, we explore why so many of us stay stuck waiting for the "right time," the "right circumstances," or the confidence to magically appear before we begin.
We'll talk about the quiet whispers that keep returning to our hearts, the things we've been putting off, and the truth that you don't have to change everything today.
You just have to take the next step.
Because often the challenge isn't knowing what to do.
It's finding the courage to begin.
And maybe...
just maybe...
this is your sign.
If you've been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, uncertain, or quietly sensing that God is inviting you into something more, this conversation is for you. 🤍

God is still weaving. 🤍
Hi everyone, welcome back to Tapestry of Faith. I'm Susan D. Crum, and I'm really glad you're here. Today I want to talk about something that I think so many of us experience but don't always recognize for what it is. The whisper, that thing that keeps showing up in your heart, the thought you can't quite shake, the dream you keep revisiting, the conversation you know you need to have, the change you know you need to make, the step you know you're meant to take, and yet you keep waiting. And I understand waiting. I've done plenty of it myself. Sometimes we tell ourselves we're waiting for the right time, the right circumstances, more confidence, more clarity, more certainty. We tell ourselves we'll start when we're ready. But here's what I've learned most of the meaningful things in life don't begin when we feel ready. They begin when we decide to move anyway. Earlier this week, I talked about the possibility that maybe today is the day you stop waiting. And I think there's a question worth sitting with because we're waiting for permission sometimes. Sometimes we're waiting for permission to begin, to change, permission to choose differently, to want more, permission to honor what's stirring inside of us. But what if the permission has already been given? One of my favorite themes from this week was this. The small brave things change our lives. Because when we think about change, we often imagine something dramatic, a giant leap, a complete transformation, a life-changing event. But most of the time our lives change because of small brave decisions. One phone call, one conversation, one application, one prayer, one boundary, one honest admission, one step. And here's the beautiful thing about small, brave things. They're manageable, they're possible, they're available to us right now. You don't have to change your entire life today. You don't have to figure out the next five years. You don't have to solve every problem. You don't have to become a completely different person by sunset. You don't have to change everything today. And honestly, I think some people stay stuck because they think they have to. They look at where they are, look at where they want to be, and the gap feels overwhelming. So they do nothing. Because doing nothing feels easier than trying to do everything. But what if neither of those options is what God is asking of you? Here's a question that's been sitting with me. What are you putting off that your heart keeps whispering about? Not shouting, whispering. Because I've found that God often works that way. Not through pressure, not through panic, not through shame, but through gentle invitation. And what keeps coming back? What keeps resurfacing for you? What conversation have you been avoiding? What dream have you been dismissing? What healing have you been postponing? What step have you been overthinking? What has your heart been whispering for months or maybe years? And here's what I think is true. Most of us, we don't need more information. We need courage. We already know more than we think we do. We already know what needs attention. We already know what isn't working. We already know what matters. The challenge isn't awareness, the challenge is beginning. Because beginning creates movement. Movement creates momentum. Momentum creates confidence. And confidence often comes after the first step, not before it. That's why waiting to feel fully ready can keep us waiting forever. I think about Peter stepping out of the boat. He didn't have guarantees. He didn't have certainty. He didn't know exactly how it was going to unfold. He simply responded to the invitation in front of him. One step, one act of trust, one brave decision. And maybe that's where you are today. Maybe there is something God has been stirring in your heart, something you've been carrying, something you've been thinking about, something you've been postponing. Not because you don't care, not because you're lazy, not because you're incapable, but because beginning feels vulnerable. So let me leave you with this. Maybe today isn't the day you figure everything out. Maybe today isn't the day you change your entire life. Maybe today isn't the day you have all the answers. Maybe today is simply the day you begin. One small brave step, one conversation, one prayer, one decision, one act of trust. Because the small brave things really do change our lives. And maybe, just maybe, this is your sign to begin. And if this conversation resonated with you, I would love to stay connected with you. I share more of these conversations on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. And if you're listening to this and thinking, Susan, I know I need something. I know I need to slow down. I know I need to reconnect with myself, with God, with what matters, but you're not sure where to start. I created something specifically for you. It's called Seven Days to Breathe Again. It's a simple seven-day experience designed to help you slow down, take a breath, and reconnect with God and yourself in the middle of real life. No pressure, no overwhelm, no perfect answers required. Just seven gentle days of encouragement, reflection, and intentional space. Because sometimes the bravest thing we can do is stop running long enough to listen. These are very short audio recordings. If you would like to receive the seven days to breathe again, simply send me an email at Susandcrum at gmail.com. Again, that's Susan D. Crum. C-R-U-M. S-U-S-A-N-D as in Denise, C-R-U-M, Susan D crumb at gmail.com. And just put the word breathe in the subject line. I'll personally send it to you. And wherever you find yourself today, whether you're standing at the beginning of something new or trying to find the courage to take a step you've been putting off. I hope you'll remember this. You don't have to change everything today. You don't have to have all the answers. You don't have to see the entire path. You just have to take the next step. Because again, the small brave things really do change your lives. And maybe, just maybe, this is your sign to begin. Until next time, keep breathing, keep trusting, and keep taking the next small brave step. I'll talk with you soon.
