Tapestry of Faith: God is Still Weaving
Women carry so many threads ... faith, identity, motherhood, purpose, relationships, seasons of waiting, whispered prayers, and dreams that still ache to be lived.
Tapestry of Faith is a place for women to gather those threads and explore what God is weaving in the unseen. Through honest conversations, personal reflections, and stories of resilience and becoming, we talk about the journey toward wholeness ... spiritually, emotionally, and relationally.
Some episodes feel like sitting with a friend who understands. Others feel like having a mentor speak life into a weary season. And sometimes, we’re joined by women who share the threads God has woven through their own lives.
If you’re longing for clarity, belonging, restoration, or spiritual strength in the middle of real life ... you’re in the right place. You’re not late. You’re not alone. God is still weaving.

We're exhausted.
Not just physically tired ...
but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually tired.
And maybe it's not because we're doing too much.
Maybe it's because we're carrying too much.
In this episode, we explore why so many of us feel overwhelmed, the hidden cost of overthinking everything, and what happens when we try to fix things that were never ours to fix.
We'll talk about the need to know how everything turns out, why uncertainty feels so uncomfortable, and the surprising place peace is often found.
Because what if peace isn't waiting on the other side of certainty?
What if it's available right here ...
before the answers arrive?
If you've been feeling tired, stretched thin, overwhelmed, or stuck in a cycle of overthinking, this conversation is for you. 🤍

God is still weaving. 🤍
Hi everyone, welcome back to Tapestry of Faith. I'm Susan D. Crumb and I'm really glad you're here. I want to start with a question today. What if peace is closer than you think? Not because your circumstances suddenly changed, not because every problem got solved, or because you finally figured everything out, but because maybe peace was never hiding where you've been looking for it. I think a lot of us are tired. Not just physically tired, soul tired, emotionally tired, mentally tired, the kind of tired that sleep does not fix. The kind of tired that comes from carrying too much for too long. And if I'm honest, I think many of us have gotten so used to carrying that weight that we don't even realize how heavy it has become. We tell ourselves we're fine. We tell ourselves we're handling it. We tell ourselves we'll rest later. But underneath all of that, we are exhausted. And I think part of the reason we're exhausted is because we're trying to carry things that were never ours to carry. We're carrying outcomes, we're carrying other people's choices, expectations, responsibility for things we cannot control. We're carrying tomorrow before it even gets here. And then we wonder why we're tired. This week, I've been thinking a lot about overthinking. Because overthinking feels productive. It feels like we're preparing, it feels responsible. But sometimes it's just another way we try to control what we cannot control. We replay conversations, imagine scenarios, prepare for things that haven't happened. We search for answers that don't exist yet. And our minds never get a chance to rest. We tell ourselves, if I can figure this out, dot dot dot. If I can just think about it a little longer, dot dot dot. If I can just find the answer, dot dot dot, then I will have peace. But what if peace isn't waiting on the other side of figuring everything out? What if peace is available before the answers arrive? Because I think that's where so many of us get stuck. We believe peace comes after certainty, after clarity, after resolution, after understanding, after control. But life doesn't work that way. There will always be unknowns. There will always be questions. There will always be things we wish we understood. And if peace depends on having all the answers, we may never experience it. One of the questions I asked this week was, what are you trying to fix that isn't yours to fix? And honestly, that question has been sitting with me. Because I think many of us spend enormous amounts of energy trying to manage things God never asked us to manage. Like other people's healing, other people's decisions, other people's reactions, the future, the timing, the outcome. And it's exhausting. Because deep down we know we cannot actually fix those things, but we keep trying. And maybe that's why we're tired. Maybe we're carrying responsibilities that were never assigned to us. Maybe we're holding things God has been asking us to release. Maybe we've confused responsibility with control. And they're not the same thing. You can be responsible without controlling. You can care without carrying. You can love without fixing. And you can show up without managing every outcome. And trust me, I know that is much easier said than done. Because uncertainty is uncomfortable. Most of us want to know how things are going to turn out. We want reassurance. We want guarantees, certainty. We want to know the ending before we trust the process. But faith rarely works that way. Faith is often choosing to trust before you know, choosing to walk before you see. Choosing to surrender before you understand. And that is hard. But here's what I've learned: the need to know how everything turns out often steals the peace that's available right now. Because while we're trying to control tomorrow, we miss today. While we're trying to secure the outcome, we miss the presence of God in the middle of the process. And maybe that's why Jesus talks so much about today. You know, today's grace, today's bread, today's worries, not next year's, not next month's, today's. Because peace is often found in the present, not in the future we're trying to predict, not in the outcome we're trying to guarantee, but right here, right now, in this moment, with this breath, with this day. And maybe that's why I keep coming back to this thought. What if peace is closer than you think? What if it's not hiding behind the answer? What if it's not waiting for the problem to be solved? What if it's not dependent on the outcome? What if peace is found in laying down what was never yours to carry? Or in releasing what you cannot control? Or found in trusting God with the parts you cannot fix? What if peace is found in simply being present today? Not because everything's perfect, but because God is present. And maybe today, the invitation isn't to figure out your entire life. Maybe it isn't to solve every problem. Maybe it isn't to get all the answers. Maybe it's simply to ask. Not because your circumstances changed, but because you're finally releasing what was never yours to hold. And before you go, if you've been feeling overwhelmed, stretched, thin, exhausted, or disconnected from yourself and God, I'd love to send you my complimentary resource, Seven Days to Breathe Again.
