- Hebrews 11:38-39
Welcome to Ashes to Beauty, Beauty to Ashes, Abba Father. Today we focus on not shrinking back. We declare today that we will not shrink back. Our scripture for today comes from Hebrews chapter eleven verses thirty eight through thirty nine. Amen. And but my righteous one will live by faith, and I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back. But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved. Amen. I heard the words this morning ever so clearly to go forth. Initially on my journey, whenever something would come into my heart or vision, I would see it, grab it, and take off running. Just full speed ahead. Which resulted in me falling, pits, things springing up quickly and then soon dying down and eventually going out. I had to learn I had to learn that every spirit was not kind and every spirit did not come from God. I also had to learn the biggest lesson of them all is that anything planted before its time will not grow. Anything planted in the wrong season will not grow. The right seed planted in the wrong field will either be stolen, scorched, or choked. So the best thing to do, the best thing that I could do was just sit quietly and wait patiently on the Lord. And I know for some of us that's easier said than done. But on this journey, you learn that it is better to wait on the Lord than to go in your own way. And sometimes waiting patiently causes us to be uncomfortable. But I'd rather be comfortable in waiting on God than to be impatient and uncomfortable going in my own way. It is so easy for us to make declarations and say affirmations. But it's challenging to move by faith, which requires constant work without shrinking back. You can get so comfortable with waiting on God that you do not complete the assignment. His will and purpose for your life. It's like traveling to a destination. You know where you're going. You know God will direct your path. You know the path must be narrow. But you don't know all the ins and outs and the details of that path. But when you're traveling, you must travel and move with faith. You must travel and move your feet. Moving forth in faith. You have to go forth. You must move by faith while constantly waiting on God to give you instructions, step by step, piece by piece, walking confidently with His guidance, not getting comfortable with being complacent. You have to persevere through every obstacle and remembering not to shrink. When you have fallen and experienced many trials and tribulations, it is easier to just want to turn back, shrink back instead of persevering. However, those who shrink back are destroyed, unfulfilled, not completing their purpose and assignment. So I encourage you today to draw near to God with full assurance that He is faithful and will fulfill all that He has promised. I thank the Lord that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. So I don't have to worry about him switching up on me. I don't have to worry about him leaving me. I don't have to worry about that. I just need to have faith. Be saved, not shrink back. Because it's not my will that must be done. It's God's will that must be done. So today be confident in who God has created you to be. There's only one you. Do not be silent. Claim your territory. Alignment doesn't mean perfection. Everything that you need is already in you. Call it out, bring it forth. Don't look back. Be at peace with what God with where God is taking you As you're on this journey distinguish good from evil. Testos spirits Be encouraged. Don't look back. Don't shrink back. Keep your eyes forward. Thank you. T Ava Father T Amen.
