Oh shit with a missed greatness. Um look, man, today we're gonna start. I feel like it's a very joyous occasion.
SPEAKER_06Oh, right now? Okay.
SPEAKER_03Salute to Walter Johnson, man. Um, for those who've been living under a rock, uh Umk, as he's uh referred to online. Uh used to work at this barbecue spot called Destination. Smokehouse. Smokehouse. And he has some viral clips, right? He used to grab that that rear boy, that uh uh dinosaur uh rear, beef rib, shake it off the bone. I mean, the meat fall off the bone when he gets to shaking it, right? He coined the term tendonism, right? It took off. Had millions of views, and then everybody thinking that it's his company, me included. I'm thinking, ah man, I gotta go down and check our spot out, man. It's crazy. Boom, boom. Then maybe a couple weeks after that, we we start seeing a white guy in the videos. And at first I was like, who is that? Because he ain't been a part of none of the videos prior to, or at least the videos that we had seen that it went viral. So, you know, more information came out, kind of find out he's the owner of Destination Smokehouse. Unk is not the owner. Uh apparently Unk worked there. And uh the history of the company, they used to be a coffee shop. And Unk been barbecuing forever, so he the one gave the guy the idea to even turn Designation Smokehouse into a barbecue spot. Used to be a coffee spot. So they did it. You know, of course, they're doing their thing on the pit, everything taking off. Then Unk starts making these videos and it goes viral. Right? So once everybody found out that he wasn't the owner, that's when the dissensions start coming in. You know what I mean? Social media start going crazy, like, ah, I mean, he's taking advantage of Unc. He's not paying him right. He needs to make him a part owner, all of these things. And Unk kept coming out saying, you know what, don't worry about it, y'all. We got an understanding. That's my family. Everything's good over here, you know, all of these things. He was trying to put the file out before it started. Then came the trademark of tendernism. You know how the internet is. They start doing their due diligence. People was like, I wonder who got that trademark. So they look it up, and it's two people that are fighting for the trademark. It says pending on that. And one of those is Destination Smokehouse. So they like, oh wow. They done tried to trademark the name that Uncle created and ain't giving them no kind of credit for it. Then to add insult to injury, Keith Lee, who's a famous fool reviewer. Right. Uh, of course, this restaurant been making waves, making, you know, noise online. So Keith, you know, he's he's a fool critic. He goes around trying different restaurants and, you know, giving his review on them. So he goes to Destination Smokehouse, takes his family, whatever. They get, you know, testing the testing out the product. Uh he said it was pretty good, you know, uh, whatever, whatever. But he was really locked in with Unk. Like he was supporting Unk. He came down there for Unk. So after he did that, he wanted to tip him$4,000. And when he was trying to tip him, the the owner said that Unk was back there shooting content. He couldn't come out right now. But, you know, so basically declined the tip that Keith Lee was trying to give to Unk. False. Hey, yeah, that is kind of crazy. That was a little wild. Wait a minute. He declined the tip. Keith Lee, a wild man. Um, but yeah, so basically turned him away. So Keith Lee, you know, being a stand-up guy years, he took the 4,000 and just gave it out to the to the people. And uh kept it pushing. But that, of course, went viral. He reviewed that, said that. Everybody's like, why wouldn't you let the man go get his$4,000 tip? He came to see him, this and the third. This guy's trying to become famous. He he's jealous of Unk. Then all the attention he's getting, he's trying to, you know, creep in on it or whatever. And even after that, Unc came out and said, Look, y'all, it ain't it ain't what y'all think. We good, you know what I mean? He he's a good guy. I've been knowing him a long time. Boom, boom. But you know us, we ain't going. We like, nah, we see the dissension, whatever, whatever. Then they do an interview together in the midst of all of this firestorm happening. And they're sitting side by side, and the owner of the thing starts talking about when he met Walty, he had absolutely nothing. You know what I mean? He basically took him up out of a fucking hovel. Brought him into the business and gave him the relevance that he got. So, of course, when that goes viral, we lose it. All right, nah, this shit done went too far. He disrespecting Uncle, whatever, whatever. Uncle older, he ain't really peeping what's going on, boom, boom, boom. And still he came out again and said, look, y'all, chill. It ain't like that. Boom, we family. I love him. Da-da-da-da-da-da. Then all of a sudden, we stopped seeing Unc in the Destination Smokehouse videos. All of a sudden. We start seeing Unc barbecue it in his kitchen. We start seeing him barbecue it in, you know, backyards. Recently just did a barbecue for Ronald Isley.
SPEAKER_06Ronald Isley.
SPEAKER_03Robert.
unknownRonald.
SPEAKER_03Ronald. Ronald. Ronald Isley, yeah. And uh, you know, so Uncle Dunn basically said, and then he put out a video and said, look, uh, you know, I have no association with destination smokehouse. He said, I'm an official tendonism.
SPEAKER_06Official tendonism.
SPEAKER_03I'm signed with tendonism. I ain't signed with smokehouse. So the rumors was true. There was some dissension over the trademark. It was some dissension over, you know, Unk not feeling properly uh uh uh uh compensated for the input that he had and the contribution he made to make Destination Smokehouse what it was. What's your thoughts on all of that? Man. Did you see it coming?
SPEAKER_06At first, no. Because of course, again, I'm I'm with you. I thought it was his. Um, I thought it was dope. You know what I'm saying? That's just like Unc was just doing stuff like that, we do. Right. You know what I'm saying? Like you you have some good food, you know what I'm saying? You put it, take it off the pit or whatever it is, you shake that meat, or you taste it, and you just walk off. You know what I'm saying? Because boys know, like when you walk off, you know you did your thing. Right. So, so initially it was like no, but then as it sold started coming out, and then especially after that video, it's like, yeah, it's only time. Like it's it's only a matter of time after that point, because he low-key did embarrass him. Man. That that was like if you wanna, if you wanna say, hey, this is how we kind of started, this is how we came about, right? There's different ways you can do that. He was like literally like shitting on him. I made you like basically. But not really leaning into the fact that yeah, y'all might have been cool, but Unc really made y'all and took y'all over the hump. 100%. So y'all might have been, you know, doing decent again, because he kind of brought that to fruition with the conversations y'all was having. But the fact that he, you know, was doing that with the dyno bone and all that stuff, like that took him, that took y'all to a whole other stratosphere. 100%. You had Desi Banks going in there, you had like all different content creators coming in to check you out, doing skits and all that stuff. And really putting y'all on the map, keeping y'all busy non-stop. We was about to go out there. Before Keith Lee even did it. Mm-hmm. And you because you know what I'm saying? They had a they had the effect before Keith Lee came out there. You know what happened when Keith Lee came out there. Um, so man, it's just it's just disappointing. Um, but I'm glad that, you know, Unc working on getting him back. Well, he has got it back.
SPEAKER_05Right.
SPEAKER_06So I am, I am. That's super dope. But like to try to slide up under him and and and take that from him, man, when he worked hard just like you did. Like, that's the least you can give him. You got the business already. The least you can do is give him the trademark.
SPEAKER_03So basically, how they got it back, not to cut you off. Uh, remember I told you Destination Smokehouse, and another person was pending for the trademark. The other person that was pending for the trademark is a black guy. And he filed a trademark to give it to give it to Unc. That's dope. But luckily, he got there before they got there. Yeah. So that's what Unc just put out a video today, and they were sitting at the table. They was talking about man, thank you so much. He says, won't let everybody know it's official. I got it. And now we're in the process of transferring it over to Unc. Da-da-da-da-da. You know, this is what so you know, Unk was tearing up and everything. He was, you know, he was really emotional about it and things of that nature. But yeah, man, salute the bro for that, man.
SPEAKER_06I heard uh, what's his name was hopefully giving him a spot too? Out here. Bo Quartel. Bo. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. So he was gonna give Uncle. So yeah. I mean, hey, salute the Unk man, because Unk is Unk just reminds you of you know one of your uncles.
SPEAKER_03Exactly.
SPEAKER_06You know what I'm saying? Just I mean, around the way, the uncle that loved the barbecue, it's gonna be an every family event. Like, he just personifies like all that from top to bottom. Yeah. Like just chill, lay back, want to have a good time. He just likes to see his people eat good. Right.
SPEAKER_03Like, that's the vibe that he gives off. Just talking shit, you know, and things of that nature, man. I think one of the things that this really opened the door for, and I hope everybody was paying attention to it, and not just caught up in all the drama, is that we gotta get our business in order as a culture. Like, we be having the best ideas in the world. And they get pulled right from under us because we don't take care of the business aspect. To whereas a lot of other cultures, as soon as they see something possibly bubbling, they diving in there to get the trademark filed, they diving in to get the LLC started, to get the t-shirts made, to get all of these things done, and they capitalize more on our ideas than we do. And that's the part that just really just rubbed me the wrong way. Because Dude got in front of that camera and tried to play in front of our face. I think he even lied and said Uncle's part owner of the company, just to kind of calm the noise down because it was getting to a level where it's just like, man, you know, this colonizer, this, that, and the third, you understand? So it's like, I just wish, man, that we would just be more focused on the business aspect of things. We are the most creative culture in existence. It's it's hands down, it goes without saying. But if the business is not in order, it's it's real easy for people to come in and sweep it right from under us, and then we always playing victims. That was my idea first. Like you look at a lot of genres and music, you look at a lot of uh uh uh inventions and and and things that patents that was filed. Now, back then it was something different, right? Because it was, you know, slavery involved, and you know, we we we really didn't even have the the right and things of that nature to uh uh uh capitalize on what it was that we was creating. But today we do. And today, this is the information era, and it's no excuse for us not to be on our business. Now, Unk, I'm I'm not pointing no fingers or blaming. Unc is old school, man. He's again, he just loves to cook. He was actually retired before they brought him back, you know, the to and he started making those videos, they start going viral and stuff. So I don't really blame Unk, but I'm talking about us. I'm talking about everybody watching this. I want to not miss that point. Like, we gotta have our business in order. If we got an idea, trademarks need to be filed. We got a business name, LLCs need to be filed, copyrights need to be filed. All of these things, we gotta learn the business so we can really eat and and win and be able to pass down stuff that we create instead of letting other people just make millions off of it. Um that's a fact. For sure. Speaking of making millions, man, and eating, man, marathon burger. Salute to uh Black Sam, rest in peace, Nipsey Hustle, man. Um, you know, it's a burger spot out there in LA, you know, using the marathon logo. Uh, I mean a marathon company name, you know, of course, Nip started that. Black Sam played a pivotal role in that. They had a restaurant open up out there in Long Beach, which is uh, you know, they're starting the franchise out now. They got a spot over here, a spot over there. And then they recently opened up the spot in Long Beach. In the midst of the opening, a lot of people came out, of course. You know what I mean? Uh, you know, it's a lot of hood dudes, a lot of gang members, things of that nature. And for the most part, everything was smooth. But there was an altercation that happened on the inside of the spot. Black Sam had to escort these people outside. Apparently, it was some dudes that basically was out of bounds. They they they came in rival territory and start kicking up dust, start starting trouble in the midst of this opening. You know, this beautiful opening. You know, this is a friend, everybody is in good spirits, ain't nobody tripping, you know, whatever. These dudes come there tripping, and the thing spills outside, altercation happens, shots are fired, a couple people are hit, one person dies. Um I just want to get your thoughts on it. Uh just just just in general, uh, on the broader topic of people always get mad at us when we elevate and we win and we leave the hood, or we leave our area, or we don't want to be around our people and things of that nature, and then something like this happens. Does that I don't want to say, does that validate those concerns in your mind?
SPEAKER_06Okay, so before I get to that, I will say, so I was doing some digging on the topic, and I'm just wanting to know what's true. Because I heard one story is what you're talking about. A guy came in, um, just talking noise, being rowdy, talking, you know, noise to rival gang members, yada yada yada, and then some more his partners pulled up. Right. That's when Black Sam and his people, you know, escorted him out, yada, you know, all that stuff. But I also heard that, which that could be true too, but uh, but also I heard that it happened like down the street like half a mile away. But because marathon burger was the the thing that was going on, right, they linked it to that. Right. So I don't know how true it is. But on the topic though, I mean I think it low-key, like it low-key is kind of kind of like justified or or or for you to think that because unfortunately, especially with events like that, it's like you gotta watch it back, you gotta be on your P's and Q's and everything like that because it's just known to happen. If it ain't shots fired, it's gonna be a brawl, it's gonna be, it's gonna be something. It's not too often that it's just gonna be clean. And when the other crazy part is the fact that they had police presence there. Right. Right. So, like, damn, like what type of time you own for a police presence to be there and you still wanna act the fool. Now, if it was down the street, I said I definitely get that, because it's you you slightly away from from everything. But right in front with everything going on, that's I don't know, just you you built from a different pedigree.
SPEAKER_03I mean, but but but that's how boys and their culture is is is wired. Boys is on some man. If we run into the ops, we gotta address that right there. You know what I mean? Boys banging their sets and things of that nature.
SPEAKER_06Well I thought supposedly it was they got the clearance or security or whatever it was. I don't know.
SPEAKER_03That's yeah, nah. I heard yeah, I heard. I heard that, like I say, man, them dudes, everything was peaceful, everything was going off without a hitch, and then these guys come in and they see rivals. They see ops and they start banging their set. Which is, you know, if you're familiar with gang culture, that's kind of disrespectful, you know. So you y'all ops and things of that nature, they come in there banging their set. I heard the other dudes was trying to be chill about it out of out of respect for Black Sam. Like, look, you know, I'm we don't want to mess the mess up the play, what's going on. But dudes was kind of being belligerent, so much so to the fact that Black Sam even had to go up to them guys, say, hey, look, man, appreciate y'all showing up, but y'all kind of ruffling, you know, some fellas, whatever, so we gonna we gonna escort y'all out of here to the end of the block, make sure nothing nothing happened to y'all. And then, you know, y'all boys, you know, your boys go y'all, you know, head on, head on back. I appreciate y'all coming out, blah, blah, blah, but I don't want nothing to happen. So they was like, cool. So they left or they got ready to leave. I think Black Satan walked them to the end of the block or something like that. And uh, you know. That was some other cats. Some other cats. That's also a part of the opposite. They was taunting, was outside as well, and then it got cracking. You know what I mean? But I just, it's just kind of disappointing, man, because it makes me think about Nipsey. And, you know, even with the marathon clothing store and all those things, you know, that Nipsey was trying to block trying to bring to that Crenshaw area that's infamous. Um, you know, there's a lot of people that were saying, man, you should have you should have built that store on Sunset. Or you should have built that store on uh Rodeo. Or, you know, somewhere somewhere nice like that. And it's like Yeah, and it's like, well, hmm boys ain't going to Rodeo and doing that type of situation. I mean, if they are, then boys as bold as hell. You know what else happened on Rodeo?
SPEAKER_06What's that? Did somebody get killed on Rodeo?
SPEAKER_03Oh, you talking about uh what you uh uh X? Well, either way, the likelihood of it happening would be way less on Rodeo Drive than right there in the middle of Rolling 60s territory. So it's like that's what people were saying, but Nixie was like, nah, I want to give back to my hood. I want to, you know, basically start turning this negativity around into something positive, build some, you know, businesses, give, hire some dudes that's fresh out of jail, give them an opportunity, this and a third. And it was going great. But it's always one. It's always one that just don't understand the moment. And that take something and turn it into something totally different. And I feel like this was an extension of that, you know what I mean? And that's what's disheartened. It's like this is positive. You know what I mean? And if you like, say for instance, if it's if it's me there and I'm engulfed in that and I see some ops or I see some people that I don't like, I'm gonna just leave, bro. If I don't want to stay there or whatever. But this is such a beautiful thing. Like, I don't want to mess it up. I don't wanna, you know what I mean? Because I could just get on my phone and make a phone call, 50 people there, and then we turn this whole thing upside down. But it's like this is supposed to be bringing us, you know, supposed to be elevating us as a culture. You know what I mean? And so for us to kind of derail it with some bullshit, it's just like, come on, bro. So that's just the only part that's just did that's just disheartening for me. Um, but like I say, it brings about the question, or not brings about the question, but it provides a lot of validation to people who are hesitant to do that. You got a lot of people who lead the hood and make a lot of money and they are very hesitant to come back. Yep. And this is why. It's used as an example.
SPEAKER_06See, see, see, that's why I don't go back. That's why I don't do this. It's why I don't, y'all tell me to build up my community, da da da da. This is why.
SPEAKER_03Shit like that. Especially like rappers and stuff. Because like statistically, most rappers who died, they got killed in their neighborhood or killed in their city. And that's that's crazy. Because you would think that that's where you're the most safe. You know what I mean? But you look at a Dolph, you look at a Nipsey, you look at it, like you can go down the line of rappers, they got killed in their own city. That's supposed to be the place you get the most love. That's supposed to be the place where you all right, let me chill, man. Let me relax my nerve. But it don't go like that. You know what I mean? So when people leave and say, I ain't never coming back to that, my boy, you be like, damn, I I I can't blame them. They're gonna go where they love the most. Right. So, you know, again, man, salute to Black Sam, bro. I just I just hope nothing nothing happened to Black Sam. Because Black Sam be on the front lines. I I seen another video to where he was about to get into an altercation with some with some gang members out there in front of the Marathon store recently, like a couple days ago. Apparently, you know, they they them dudes was mad at him about something. And black Sam ain't the type of dude to back down, so he like, they're like, what's up? What's what y'all want to do? So it was a big crowd of people, and he out there, basically they in each other's face, yelling and talking loud, and they getting ready to squat. And it's just like, I just hope that that Black Sam, man, just move smart. We already lost Nipsey. Black Sam is a great business mind, you know what I mean? But it's just when you in that environment, a lot of times that shit just get in the way of what you could be. You know what I mean? I just pray that I don't wake up and see no headline that nothing happening, bro, man. It's too much ego, too, man.
SPEAKER_06You gotta put that shit down. Especially after you get a certain age, man. Like some of that shit, like, what are you trying to prove? Like, what are you trying to prove? You trying to, you, you, you banging and you claiming a block. You don't own not a lick on that motherfucker. You paying on the block. Like, what are you like what are you talking about? This ain't your territory. You don't own. A bit of it. If you owned it, hey. Something different. That's something totally different. You can have it. You can do what you want because this is all yours. So I would, that's a little bit more understandable. It still wouldn't be justified to me as far as beef and ganging and all that shit, but come on, man. That shit just, I don't know. It's just disheartening. You know what I mean? And then too, like, growing up, like looking at movies like South Central and Boys in the Hood and stuff like that, it's like, like, damn, like, that's the type of shit that go on. It's just different worlds. You know what I'm saying? Like how we grew up, you see stuff like that, and then you see stuff like New Jack City, which is similar, but in its own realm. And it's like shit down here, you didn't, you didn't see stuff like that. You seen it, but not as like just, I guess, normalized.
SPEAKER_03I mean, because it's not heavy gang culture. You know what I mean? Yeah. South is more of like a drug thing. Pamping and drugs, things of that nature. But all our gang banging, yeah, that's that's like a whole, that's West Coast, you know, Chicago as well, heavy in that. But I I I agree with you, bro. I I just, man, I I just want better for us, dog. I just I just want better for, especially the ones who was lucky enough to make it out, see some real money, people who got influence that can save other kids and give other kids something to look up to and things of that nature. I just feel like throughout our culture, we done lost too many of our leaders, bro. Lost too many of people To senseless shit. To senseless things, you know what I mean? And I mean, it's just it's just rough, you know what I mean? Even in the next story we're about to talk about with uh my boy Terry and Arnold. I seen uh cornerback for the Detroit Lions. So apparently during the season, uh his spot had gotten broken to. Somebody broke into his mansion, took like a hundred thousand dollars worth of stuff, uh in including his team-issued cell phone, uh, jury, all types of things. So apparently, word gets back as to who did it. And instead of calling the police, handle this myself. So I'm gonna handle it myself. So him and a couple of his homeboys find out who did it. They went to go kidnap the guys who did it, pistol with the guys who did it, and robbed him for the stuff that they took back and some. Definitely butt naked. Butt naked, duct take, shivering. But the law enforcement got involved. Of course.
SPEAKER_06Of course. He told.
SPEAKER_03And somebody told him. Somebody, somebody told something, and now they uh they are, you know, probably about to press charges on Terry and Arnold uh for, ironically, kidnapping, robbery, getting their own shit, and assault in a deadly record.
SPEAKER_06His name was Taryn Arnold. I knew exactly who did it.
SPEAKER_03Nigga done robbed you and then told on you when you robbed him.
SPEAKER_06That's crazy. What part of the game is that, fellas? What part of the game is that?
SPEAKER_03You tell me. So you got some people saying, look, man, you should have called the laws, bro. You got other people saying, hey, I don't feel like he did nothing wrong. Which side of the fence you fall on?
SPEAKER_06Hey, if I'm up like that, I see he ain't did nothing wrong. I say he ain't did nothing wrong. Me and my partners, we about to go get this shit back. We about to get this shit back. Y'all ready? Let's go.
SPEAKER_03That's the same thing that happened to OJ.
SPEAKER_06Let's go. If you remember. Mm-hmm. That's the first thing I thought about. Mm-hmm. Yeah, I'm going get my shit. It's like. It's I don't know. Bro, I feel like if I call the cops. Yeah, you're right.
SPEAKER_05You're right.
SPEAKER_06It's not gonna be as much fulfillment. You know what I'm talking about robbery.
SPEAKER_03First off, you ain't gonna get it. Lawman ain't, especially when we calling about some right, man. Somebody stole something from me. You done call, people get stuck, cars stolen all the time. Somebody stole my pistol to this day. I ain't got word back, they ain't looking for it. They ain't called me, they ain't did nothing, man. I called the laws, I did what I was supposed to do. I ain't got one call. That happened about six months ago. I ain't heard nothing since. So it's like, yes, they stole my Glock 19 out of my car. What you was at? Did you tell me about this? At the battle rap event. Swear to God. Oh God, swear to God, ask my old lady. She'll take it. We parked in the front. In VIP? So I'm thinking I'm I'm good, but it's like We literally parked in the front. Pay money. Pay like$30 to park right there. That's crazy. I came outside and I I'm trying to get something on my backpack. Picked the backpack up. I said, damn, this backpack light as hell. What the? I got to thinking. I'm like, oh hell nah. No, they ain't taking my. So I went and looked. My shit gone. Wow, fam. Swear to God. Damn. God's mad as hell. So I came back and my thought immediately was like, oh no, I gotta report that. Because if they do something with it, they come and knock on my door. Hell nah. Say, look, yeah, man. Somebody stole my stuff, man. I don't know who did it. Whatever, whatever, whatever. They just like, all right, well, you know, I gave them a serial number, all of these things. Like your case number. Case number. And that's it. Ain't heard nothing from them since.
SPEAKER_07Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_03And it's the same way when people, when people break into your crib. Yeah, man, somebody broke into my house, man. Whatever, whatever, whatever. Police come there, they're gonna take statements, they're gonna look around. Alright, we'll we got the case document, then we'll get back to you.
SPEAKER_06I'm going get it.
SPEAKER_03If I got that much money, I'm gonna get it. We gonna get it. Because all you gotta do is put about 10,000 in the street and say, hey, man, if anybody hears something,$10,000 reward.
SPEAKER_06What's that uh damn, what's that? What's that movie where that nigga was smacking him? Don't you ever damn what movie was that? I can't think of it right now. But he kept smacking the nigga back. Huh? Huh? That's the type of shit I would do. Dumbass.
SPEAKER_03Oh, you gonna torture him?
SPEAKER_06I'm smacking the shit out of him. Like, don't you ever in your life think about coming this way again. Like, ever.
SPEAKER_03That right there is the downside about having money or just being famous.
SPEAKER_09Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_03It's because you can't handle things the way that you will want to handle things. You know what I mean? Because it's like you got a name, just like bro. So now that he done this, he's jeopardizing his NFL career.
SPEAKER_06That's a fact. That's a fact.
SPEAKER_03And it's just like to whereas if none of this was a thing, the fame and things of that nature, he could do that and be good. Probably when nothing happened, he'll go do what he got to do, get it back, come on back. But when you're famous, man, you got a lot to lose and they don't. And that's what's messed up about it. Yeah. Because people kind of try to take advantage of that. People try to kind of try to play you on that, like, ah, you can't, you can't do too much because you you are who you are.
SPEAKER_06And it's just like And the crazy part is too, man, and what's sad is like a lot of them athletes too, is like you really have to spend money day in and day out if you want full coverage and protection. But at the same time, it's like, who got time for that? I'm living in a nice neighborhood, it's quiet around here, you know, we an acre apart from each other or whatever it is, like everybody got space. And then, because you hear about it all the time. People, you know, athletes on the road. What is it, Patrick Mahomes in this house get broken into? Like it's several athletes. They be on the road, house get broken into when they get back. It's like like, damn, I can't even, you know what I'm saying, be in peace.
SPEAKER_03Sean Taylor died like that. Rest in peace, Sean Taylor. Um, it was his old lady's, his old lady's sister's boyfriend, and they friends. Basically, Sean Taylor and them had a little event at the crib, invited everybody over, they cook out, you know, backyard, this, that, and third. And her man was kind of scoping the scene, looking like, oh, this is nice, da-da-da-da. They seeing, you know, this trophy over here, they seeing this car over here, this, that, and third. Dude done went and told his homeboys, hey man, it's a lit. Like, hey, you know, Sean Taylor, I think he about to, like they about to go on the road and play such and such. So when we know he's gone, we could just run up in here and do what we do. But didn't realize Sean Taylor was injured. So he didn't go with the team. He stayed home. So when they broke in the crib late at night, he jumped up like, what the hell? And he grabbed, he had a he had a uh a machete by the by the bed. So he grabbed a machete and go out there and try to see what the noise is. Of course, they see Sean Taylor big ass. He catch them off guard, like, oh shit, what is he doing? And they see him holding that machete, they start shooting, hit him in the thigh. And, you know, hit hit a man with the head. And he ended up passing. But it but it it but it's it's the same thing. Just like you saying, it's like, bro, this is where I lay my head. This is where me and my kids lay our head at, bro. Niggas done ran in your crib. Like, that feels so like violating when people like burglarize. Like, when they took my pistol, like I felt violated. Like, I like angry. Like, I wanted to go look at the cameras and see if I could. But then it's like you get to thinking, like, yeah, I could I could do that. I could put some money out there and figure out who did what. And then I go do something about it and throw my life away. Over a$500 pistol. It's like, nah. But instinct though. But nah. So it's just, man, look, man, boys gotta be smart. Uh man, salute to Terry and Arnold. I don't feel like you did nothing wrong, dog. And hopefully the NFL don't don't punish you too much for this. They shouldn't.
SPEAKER_06NFL, but y'all hoe ass. Oh god. Wanna give a nigga three games for beating on women. Come on, preach. Preach. He does some shit like that. You suspend him for a whole season. Get the fuck out of here.
SPEAKER_03This shit out of pocket, my nigga. I ain't gonna lie to you. Um, all right, man. We're gonna go ahead and get in the study hall at this point. Um, viral clip. Let's start with the start with the virality first. Uh-oh. My boy Ian Dunlap and the uh Blackout podcast, man. They recently had a guest on there. Uh Aisha Diaz. She's kind of an Instagram girly. You know what I mean? Okay. Very, very attractive uh lady. Um, and basically she was on there speaking to what it would cost a man per month to be with her. Play the clip, get your take on it.
SPEAKER_04I don't know what your relationship status is now, but what do you expect on a monthly basis from financially?
SPEAKER_02From him?
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Honestly, I'm spoiled.
SPEAKER_04Um, as soon as they said that's spoiled, it's gonna be a ticket. Go ahead. What's that? What's that what's that mean? What's that range? Because because it's good insight because you know, we just have these hypothetical conversations all the time. But you're somebody that's that you're like in the top one percent of girls that's actually you're you're exposed to that life, right? Like, so what is you say you're spoiled? What does that mean?
SPEAKER_02Spoil means I need you to be able to keep up with my lifestyle if you want to be with me.
SPEAKER_04What does that mean? Ladies, take notes, take notes because it'll work on the sip. I have a lifestyle I expect to keep.
SPEAKER_02You should be able to do it for me too. And if I can't depend on you to be able to handle what I have on my plate, then there's no reason for me and you know, me and you to be together because that means you're gonna hold me back. And that means I'm gonna have to be looking out after you.
SPEAKER_04What about love? What does that mean? Financially, what does that mean though? What does that mean? What does that mean on a monthly? What does that mean? Roughly, roughly. Numbers, yes, yeah, like 45, 50, 50, 50,000 a month. So you need$50,000 a month. Dollars.
SPEAKER_02Well, it's true. I can't give you the paperwork right now.
SPEAKER_04She's not getting it. Hold on, you got a contract. Listen, you sign a contract, they sign a contract.
SPEAKER_02But listen, but if you allow me, let's say my partner doesn't allow me to work, I am gonna look at you and say, Are you paying all my bills? Because in order for me to sit down, somebody has to pay all my bills, and not just my bills. I need extra money because you can't give me my bill money and then I'm left with nothing. Yeah, I need money to save too. And and that's honestly, that's what really becomes expensive because my bills alone are already really high.
SPEAKER_09Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So I need a little bit more, not just for hair and nails and stuff, but I need a little bit more because I need to be able to save and I need a backup. Because after we break up or anything happens in between me and you, I need security and so I can find not another job, but you know what I mean, so I can get back into what I used to do before. Um, I don't require my man to do it. Do I expect it? Yes. Does he have to? No. But you can't ask me not to work if you're not willing to handle and take care of all my bills. And plus.
SPEAKER_04When you say paperwork, what were you referring to? You have a contract that you make him something?
SPEAKER_02No, no, no. Meaning like I can show you guys how high the bills are.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02It sounds like a really crazy number, honestly, but it's not just my house where I live at, you know, I have other properties, they gotta get paid. You know, sometimes they need a new air conditioner, a new boiler, a filter. And I consider those bills because no matter what, I have to pay for them. So yeah, you pay my house here, but how about my responsibility everywhere else? When they come, you know, I I have to make sure you're okay with handling that too.
SPEAKER_04Well, also, like I said, I mean, I know you, so I know you're not just saying that like you've actually this is real for you. My question is, um, what does the man get for that investment? If I'm investing$50,000 a month into you, right? What do I get out of that?
SPEAKER_02I'm not asking you to invest.
SPEAKER_04I'm just saying, I'm just saying, I'm just saying, I'm just saying, just like I mean, whatever he wants. If you're asking me not to work, so I get you the benefit is that I you're not working. That's the benefit that I get.
SPEAKER_02I mean, the benefit, I'm not working, I'm home, I'm being peaceful, I'm making sure everything's good at the house, I'm cleaning, I'm cooking, and you know, whatever you require.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_02I'm a pleaser, so I'm gonna make sure my man gets whatever he wants. But at the same time, you have to make sure I'm happy. And if you're asking certain things of me, you gotta make sure that you can back it up and take care of that too.
SPEAKER_04And truth be told, most men are doing this at some level, whether it's yeah, living.
SPEAKER_02It doesn't have to be that number, but you have to. You can't ask your wife to not work and just sit home and do you know absolutely nothing. And then when she asks you for something simple as, hey, can I have some money for my hair and nails? You're tripping.
SPEAKER_04Fellas, I never want to hear that investing in the market is too expensive or stock club too expensive. Because if you got to give up 50 off top, I want to you 45, 50,000.
SPEAKER_03These were the numbers that hit the timeline and shook everything, shook the entire internet up. What is your thoughts on what the young lady Aisha Diaz had to say?
SPEAKER_06Hey man, when she first, when she first was led with that number, it's like, uh, who but the more she started talking, the more she started justifying the reasons, it made sense. It made a lot of sense. Of course, I can't relate, not even close. But, you know, like she said, she had different properties. If you don't want her to work, I think, and that was the key. Right if you don't want her working, then okay, cool. You don't you don't want me working? Well, this is what I need to maintain my lifestyle, where I need to maintain my household, where I need to maintain my businesses, and I need a little bit on the top in case this doesn't work out because I'm not working, so I'm also losing out on potential money. Right. So, for that reason, like, hey, if you can afford it, if you're gonna pay to play, you're gonna pay to play. And then she said, you know, you can get whatever you want in return. So how much are you willing to pay? Is she really worth it? So I think if you didn't ask her to work, I don't think that will be her requirement. I don't think it'll be that high. Now, it still may be 20, 25 or something. I can assume, somewhere in that range. Right. But her just being at home or just not even saying at home, but just her not working. You don't want her to work, you just want her to be at your beck and call. You just you want her to be wherever you're at and readily available. Yeah, you're gonna have to pay to play. I have I see nothing wrong with that. 45, 50, 50. Not dollars. Not 45 hundred. Not cents. Not 5,000. Add another zero to that.
SPEAKER_03Uh when I when I first heard it, I was just like, bro, what the fuck is she talking about? When she first started talking, that's exactly. I was like, what? Just like you said, but when you listen, you get to talking a little more, you get to analyzing who's talking, get to analyzing about what it is that she's making, you get to analyze where she's living. I hear uh East Coast New York accent. And it's like, yeah. Like as a man, that that's why it's very important to shoot within your range. I think it's a lot of men that I hear that will try to date a woman like that and beat her down to something that he's comfortable with, something that he can afford. She's used to dating NFL guys, NBA guys, street guys who make a lot of money, things of that nature. You could you just you could just tell her expectations reflect that. And at this point, she's reaching up fame to where she's making a legitimate amount of money on her own. So unless you're capable of taking care of that lifestyle, and this is just take her out of it. Women in general. You got certain women, you got women who have a very expensive lifestyle all on their own that they take care of on their own. So it's like when you come into that situation, you gotta be prepared to keep up. If you wanted to stop working, you gotta be prepared to cover that. So what she's saying is not necessarily wrong. I can't really say, oh no, that's outrageous. If, just like she said, I got$40,000,$50,000 in bills that I'm paying by myself. So if you can't afford$40,000,$50,000 in bills, that might not be the woman for you. Facts. That's just real. Like you gotta be honest with yourself. And I feel like a lot of dudes be putting like unrealistic expectations on women, right? Like you got a woman who got a nice ass loft in the sky. She driving a, you know what I mean, a very, very expensive AMG or something crazy like that. You understand? Like she solo. Like, no man, no nothing. That's her. That's her paper. She's making it, that's her income. Nails done all the time, hair done all the time, like dress fly all the time. You can't walk into there and expect her to all of a sudden go to, you know what I mean, uh, uh, uh, impoverished lifestyle and mindset. She eats at steakhouses. You can't come in there and expect her to eat at McDonald's, nah, because that's what you can afford. She likes to travel out of the country. You can't expect her to, you know, be cool with this little trip down to Miami that you think is a trip. She has a certain lifestyle already that she's taken care of on her own. So if you are incapable of contributing to that, or if you're incapable of matching that, you need to stay away from that one.
SPEAKER_06You try to spend$2,500 for the weekend.$2,500 just to get her where she tried to go.
SPEAKER_09Right.
SPEAKER_06That could have done. She gotta go shopping. She gotta stay in the best hotel. That gotta eat good when y'all out there. Hey, yeah. Yeah. That's a tenth of the bill.
SPEAKER_03And that's the thing, bro. It's like, because hearing this, I think most dudes hear this and be like, man, it's a it's a dude that's like uh sugar daddy that's paying for all of this. Like, she got unrealistic. I know women right off the top of my head that I can name. That they they make about that that kind of money. They lifestyle reflects that kind of money. And they make it on their own. It ain't no man in the picture. You understand? And they they they struggle to maintain relationships. That's another conversation for another day. But I'm saying they they bring in that type of money. That lifestyle, like they curate it. It's theirs. So it's like as a man coming in there, you gotta humble yourself. You gotta be honest with yourself. Like, if I can't afford to do what she does regularly, I might need to leave her alone.
SPEAKER_06And I I'm nowhere near that. But I can only imagine if you got like that's 600 bands. If you, depending on what sport you playing, like Dak Prescott, making what 37 a year or something like that. 40 something. You know what I'm saying? What's 600? Nathaniel. That's nothing. We good, but that is nothing. So, you know what I'm saying? Depending on the arena you're playing in, that's that's a drop in the bucket for them. That's all right, I'll I'll I'll pay your salary. You know what I'm saying? I'll pay you. You know what I mean? Because 600 is I mean it's hefty. It is, oh no, oh, no, no, oh, oh, shit is oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, yeah, it is. Hypothetically. Ah shit. You have exposable income. Right. Are you paying, not necessarily her, but would you hypothetically, would you be open to paying something that hefty? Maybe not 50, but would you be open to paying something hefty per month to not allow that person to work?
SPEAKER_03I think that like that's where things get interesting. Because, yes, those are your expenses, right? But if you my woman, you living with me. So you don't have those expenses. So I'm not necessarily paying you 50,000. You just don't have those expenses no more. I'm sure most of that money is where you live.
SPEAKER_06So are you gonna absorb some of those? Like she said, you meet her, she got home business. Mm-hmm. So she just she got a couple three, four properties. Right. Like she said, uh AC go out, you need to repair that. You got her, you need a new uh just whatever for the house. Got new bricks, new roofing, stuff like that. Are you gonna absorb some of those um um um what's the word I'm looking for?
SPEAKER_03Some of those uh expenses.
SPEAKER_06Expenses and and and and uh not collateral, but uh liability? Yes.
SPEAKER_03I mean, yeah. I mean, I think that that's that's part of the game. That's just like you meet a woman, she got bad credit, or she got credit card debt or student loans or whatever, and you marry her and she don't work no more, those are your student loans now. Okay, okay. So it's like, I mean, that's you know, that's like part of the game. But also, I mean, I need to be invested in the company. Facts. I need an investment. I need to be able to buy in if I'm gonna be saying it. Um, but yeah, but I but like I said, I think, you know, a lot of those expenses would be gone because you'll be living with me. Okay. So, you know, your cars and all of that stuff, of course, but uh just like the properties and things of that nature, that's a in case something goes wrong type of thing. But for the most part, like it's you know, it's gonna be situated. But if it does, like I said, I'm I'm I'm open to that, but I would definitely want to buy into the company. She still wanna go shopping.
SPEAKER_06She still wanna get her hair and nails done.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I still want to go to it. Yeah, for sure. Like, like if I can't maintain those things, then I'm gonna then I'm gonna just leave you alone. That always been my my my thought process. Like, I don't want to come in there and downgrade your life. That's just not but that's also why I wouldn't date a broke woman either. For the same reason. I like to eat a certain way, I like to move a certain way, I like to do certain things, you know what I mean? And it's like if you ain't never made no paper, then you don't necessarily know how to move at this altitude. You don't think we go ahead.
SPEAKER_06You don't think broke would be a low overhead?
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_06Low costs? Nope.
SPEAKER_03What happened? Because when she meets you, that all of a sudden that that ceiling is gonna elevate, brother. Is it? Yes. Because because you know why? Aisha is a perfect example of this. Pretty sure the first dude she got with, her mainness was low too. Now look, 50,000 a month. Nah. You know what's funny? When Bow Wow seen this post, Bow Wow commented, I need to comment. He said 50,000 a month? I beat for free.
SPEAKER_06He's wild for that. He wow.
SPEAKER_03That's what he said, though.
SPEAKER_06But that was his girl. Wasn't it? Something like that. I'm sure he beat before it was his girl. Nah, we ain't doing that. Well, hey, you live or you learn.
SPEAKER_03Yesterday's price is not today. And again, I'm not knocking it. I don't, I look, man, I believe firmly, get what you can get out here on this market. If the market is paying it, go get it. I ain't counting nobody pockets, bro. So I that's why I say, as men, like, we gotta be smart about how we move. And I feel like a lot of men would rather try to beat her down for her expectation than just say, you know what? She don't fit my lifestyle. She don't. Can't do it. And that's cool. Because there's plenty of other women who are just that attractive or more who don't require$50,000 a month. Go find one. But it's like for you to be in the comments, man, ain't no goddamn way this bitch tripping, da da da da. Just like, because just like you doing that for every a hundred dudes doing that and saying, man, I never pay that shit, don't make no sense. It's about five dudes that's saying, Oh, okay, bet. I got that. 50 bomb? Okay. I got that. That ain't that bad.
SPEAKER_06Just real rap. You understand? So again, like that. And how do you know that she wants you? So that's another thing. You might have the bread, but she might not even want you.
SPEAKER_03Oh, come on now, man. Okay, man. Um wise woman once said. Wise women once said, gotta stick to the rivers and the lakes that you're used to. Wise women said that. And that's profile. Because it's a lot of people that are shooting at baskets that are outside of their range. And then when you get humbled, now you mad. And now you're trying to talk crazy to this person, or you trying to, you mad. That's not in your range, brother. It's just we all play basketball. When you got the wrong nigga out there shooting threes, what are you doing? Get on the block.
SPEAKER_08Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_03What are you doing? Three-point shooting is not your game, brother. Now inside on the block, 15 and in. That's you. That's you. That's all you got. You super nice. Can't question that. Can't argue that. But 35 feet? That's not you, brother. Shoot within your range.
SPEAKER_06I know another woman that said, I need a man to make at least double my hit go.
unknownWe're not gonna tell you nothing.
SPEAKER_03Hey, I'm not gonna talk about my girl. Shout out to Kills. Hey, let's talk about my girl. They got dead on her ass to say that that was crazy. I think that might have been one of the first viral videos in the world. My boy O was in there looking just like. Next on Study Hall, man. We're gonna get into old children. It was which what? In reference to a man's height.
SPEAKER_06Shout out to my dog Calvin. Hilarious, man. I've been following Calvin a minute. Calvin Grimes, my dog, man.
SPEAKER_03For so for so. Oh. Boy the fool, man.
SPEAKER_10All right.
SPEAKER_01I thought I'm right here. I'm on the news. You need to let you know first. I just need to do my life. I need to follow that. Oh, just because of this because of the height and windows. But I can really be the man in the screen right now. That's all I gotta be.
SPEAKER_10Height. Man's height.
SPEAKER_01A man's height. Average man's height is like 5'8. You don't like the red. That's what it is. I should have just wore the regular business attire.
SPEAKER_03Hey man, salute to my dog Calvin Grimes. That's hilarious, bro. That boy be cracking me up every time I see him. It's a Calvin man.
SPEAKER_06And with that with that type of game, most women would have failed for that. For sure. For sure. He was quick on his feet, witty, you know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_03Everything. She said a man's height, six feet. Do you feel like women have unrealistic height requirements?
SPEAKER_06Women definitely have unrealistic height requirements. Just like they have unrealistic financial requirements. Kind of. Height requirements for sure. Like, again, like you said, the average man's height is 5'8. Right. Average woman height is like 5'3. Right. You wear stripper heels, hoe? Like what? Like, what are you really talking about? If you wear some heels, you still not gonna be taller than him. Right. I just I don't be getting a mindset of women wanting a man that's six feet tall. Like that's the like that's that's the the end all be all almost. Let me tell you something, baby. This is when I was sleeping. I'm I'm not six foot, I'ma tell you not. It's a lie. What Mari said, it's a lie. It's a lie. These women will lie to y'all. Now you can't be 5'4. Right. I'm sorry about y'all kings. 5'4 kings. Short kings, man. I'm sorry, but I'm sorry about y'all. Love y'all. You know what I'm saying? Brotherhood for life. But 5'8, you straight. You're good to go. 5'8 good to go, man. 5'8 good to go. Of course, now you can't get no six-footer. That's understandable. But again, most women are going to be under you and with heels on. That's really what women think about. Like, if we go out on a nice date, I don't want to tower over him. And you're not going to tower over him. Like, do you I guess I don't know. I guess some women, I would love to talk to them about this. It's another topic we could talk to a woman about. Like, would you like, do they want to look up a little bit? Do they not want to look at him eye to eye? I'm sure they don't want to look down. That's understandable. But I mean, like.
SPEAKER_03Man, bro, I think it's, I think it's like basic anatomy and psychology. I think that's just like you said, it's funny because you brought it up. You said they had the same expectations for money. But it's a safety thing. They identify height and size on a man as somebody that can keep them safe. What if he's in the gym? What if he's in the gym? At the gun range. Like. Sure. All that's true. But it's just that natural, that's first certain men like who are just massive. When you're walking by and you see them, he's gonna make most dudes hesitate. Like, ooh, it's kind of big. Like, whatever thought I had in my head, I gotta second guess this thought.
SPEAKER_06Okay.
SPEAKER_03To whereas if it's a dude, he might be short and stocky or whatever, but in your mind, okay, man, I still might take him for real. If I you know I mean, so I think with with women, like it's a it's an innate thing in them to what they want a man that's bigger than them, like noticeably bigger than them, to where they feel the difference, because in that situation, they feel safe the same way that they want a man who makes a lot of money. Because in that way, they feel safe. I don't have to worry about lights getting cut off. I don't have to worry about, you know, uh-uh uh uh poverty getting cut, not being able to buy what I want, and I get my hair down, I get my nails done. If he got a lot of money, I feel safe in this type of situation. Now that's not saying that a dude who making 70,000 can't take care of you or whatever, but the the access makes them feel safe. I don't know, man. Innately.
SPEAKER_06I'm not calling cap to you, I'm calling cap to them. Because I'm like, I see it all the time. I see plenty of women that are taller than a man or the same height as a man. So I think the height, the money part, I get. I mean the money part is definitely more understandable. But as far as the height, I think that's like more social media. Like that six-foot requirement. Because you didn't really hear about that until the last maybe six, seven years, something like that.
SPEAKER_03You think it's always been that way? I think it's always been that way. I think social media put a megaphone on it, but in terms of that innate ideal requirement, now now I now I get what you're saying. I'm I'm looking around, and what y'all saying don't reflect what I'm seeing when I'm when I'm looking around. But from an ideal perspective, when most women are out there navigating and looking for their man and things of that nature, ideally they want a man that's bigger than them. They've they that's always been a thing. I want my man tall and handsome and not dark and light, you know, it kind of differs depending on which time period we're talking about. Right. But tall and handsome and things of that nature, that's always been a requirement.
SPEAKER_06But tall, I think, is relative to the woman. Because if you 5'2 and he's 5'9, he's tall.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but but I I don't I don't think that they compare them to themselves. They compare them to other people. Other men? Because if we out, yeah, okay, if I'm 4'11 and you five five, yes, you are significantly taller than me. But when we out and it's other men around looking down on you and you five five, I don't feel safe. You know what I mean? So it's again, it's a it's an innate uh physiological, ideolic urge that a lot of women have, bro, in that regard, you know. So I mean, I I get it why why that is, but you know.
SPEAKER_06I don't like it.
SPEAKER_03I don't like it.
SPEAKER_06I don't like it. Short Kings, I'm taking up for y'all. I don't like it. Because the minute you say you want your woman to be attractive or seven it up.
SPEAKER_03Nah, it's a problem.
SPEAKER_06Nah, that's a problem. I can't control my height, but you got a little, you control your looks a little bit.
SPEAKER_03You control your weight. Let me get out of here. Let me backput out of here. So the next topic. Let me backpell up out of here. Let me move to get us gas. I can't control my life. You can control your weight. Backpell. Oh my god. On the island, man. Hey. Uh all right, man. Shout out to the short kicks, baby. Look, bro, yeah, this is another thing that I want to say before we leave this. I think that there's somebody for everybody. Facts. I think that we hear these requirements and we feel like these are universal rules. They are not. There are people who ideally they want somebody taller, but there are most people, in my opinion, want somebody that they can depend on, somebody that's solid, somebody that's that's as loyal, all these things. And the height is not that important. Now, ideally, I feel like most women want a man that's taller than them. I do. But that doesn't mean that as a man who is shorter, that you shouldn't be shooting anyway, because you never know. You run into one, and she don't have that height requirement. And now y'all rocking married 40, 50 years, somebody that you thought you could never get. You understand? But if you don't shoot, you'll never know. Facts. So go for yours.
SPEAKER_06One more and one more thing to add to that. Dress fly, smell good, keep your hair cut.
unknownWork out.
SPEAKER_06Take you a long way. Take you a long way.
SPEAKER_03100%. 100%. All right. We're gonna get to the next one, man. To where he was talking about I apologize. It's not a real apology. Now, when I heard this, when I was a little confused, but I'm gonna play the clip. Get y'all take on it.
SPEAKER_10I work for my husband. My husband, no. My husband is like, I apologize. And this is actually true. He said, I apologize is not an apology. I'm sorry is an apology. He said, Would you rather me say, you know, love, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done this, blah, blah, blah. Or would you want me to say, I apologize, babe, you know my heart? I was like, okay, I get it. I get it. You want me to, I would rather the first one. He was like, so I need you to not only just show me that you're sorry, but understand what you're sorry for.
SPEAKER_03I apologize. It's not good enough. She says, You need to hear, I'm sorry. Do you agree with that statement? Yeah, I agree with that.
SPEAKER_06I have to listen to it. At first, I was like, but I had to I had to think about it for a minute. And um, I apologize is just kind of like you just sweeping things on the under the rug. Like, yeah, you'll be all right, you know. I apologize. Let's keep it pushing. But I'm sorry, and then the reasoning behind the why, you're letting her know you understand and you're empathizing. I think that's one of the biggest things in general, not only just her, but just in general, man or woman. I think saying I'm sorry, and then the reason why you're showing some empathy to where you're letting them know that you understand why you did what you did was wrong. And that you know, you you apologize for it at the end of the day. But I think but saying I'm sorry, leading with I'm sorry is really I guess putting it more in the forefront and just it's it seems more meaningful than just saying I apologize.
SPEAKER_03I think it speaks to a deficit within yourself. I think I apologize, you can still maintain some bravado. You can still maintain some ego. Yeah. I'm sorry, that sounds like humility. There you go. Yeah. It's like, you know, the guys, if I do something, whatever's wrong, hey bro, my bad, bro. You know how I be. Mm-hmm. In comparison to, hey man, I really, bro, I'm sorry about that, bro. I didn't, I didn't mean for that to go like that. Like it's it's a difference in humility. So I think that that's like more so what they looking for, you understand? And I think that a lot of men struggle with that because women don't really apologize properly. I think that, you know, a lot of women will apologize for what you made them do. A lot of women will apologize for how you took what they said, but they don't necessarily apologize for their behavior alone. So I think as men, in the scenario that she was given, dude said, I ain't going for that. No, no, no. We're gonna get down to the real apology. I want to hear some humility. I want to hear some goddamn uh uh uh reverence. That's what I need to hear in order for me to feel validated in terms of us moving forward. And until I hear that, we not moving forward. I think that he got backbone that most men don't have. That's some real shit, yeah. I feel like most men, you know, if a woman says something that even resembles I'm sorry, it's like, all right, bet, we good, man. Let's just go ahead and keep it pushing. To where it's like, no, no, no, let's let's drill down on it. Let's let's double click, let's stay right here. What are you sorry for? I need you to understand. Do you understand why I feel the way that I feel? Oh, you don't? Okay, well, sit down and I'll and I'll explain it to you. I feel like most men are not willing to dig that deep, and because of that, we kind of enable women to not feel the need to apologize. Because when it's us doing wrong, when they got a problem with something we doing, it ain't gonna be no, hey, you know what? You're right, man, let's move on. It don't work like that. You're gonna hear it. Oh God, like you hear the whole thesis paper. Bruh, she gon' she getting through her PowerPoint presentation. Everything. I don't give a damn how early you say I'm sorry. I don't give a damn how early you say you was right. She's getting through her PowerPoint presentation. Rain, sleep, or snow. So, nah, I think you know, as men, we gotta be just as dogmatic when it comes to getting our just do as well.
SPEAKER_06She's gonna give you that opening statement. Mm-hmm. She's gonna give you the three paragraphs. For sure. And she's gonna bring it, wrap it up with that conclusion.
SPEAKER_03Real rough. And then ask you. So now do you understand why I feel the way I feel?
SPEAKER_06And it better sound good to her.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_06It better sound good. Because if if you don't understand, we start no.
SPEAKER_03We starting from scratch. Scratch. Hey, that's the God's.
SPEAKER_06A whole nother argument. Oh, so you don't understand. Oh, okay. Well, let me put it this way. It just, it's like God bless, man.
SPEAKER_03So again, fellas, when we finally on the right side of right, we gotta lean into it. That's a fact. Lean into it. Stay there. Don't let them move past. Because women good with that. They have like, well, I said I was sorry. Yeah, yeah, I know you said it, but I don't feel like you're sorry. Because the same way that women get away with fit, like how I feel, it doesn't matter what's actually what I feel. And as men, we gotta respect how they feel. So we need to get across how we feel and demand the same respect. That's all I'm saying.
SPEAKER_06I've been feeling this way for eight hours. Yep. Yep. This is what you said I didn't like. You spoke to me out of pocket. You questioned my character. All that because you was upset. And I feel I feel like we shouldn't be talking right now. And we're gonna talk when I'm ready.
SPEAKER_03We're gonna talk when I'm ready. It's crazy. I like it though. I like that. That's fire. That's fire. I like that. We're gonna talk when I'm ready to talk.
SPEAKER_06And right now, I'm not ready. Because I'm not gonna be productive. You gotta add more, because I'm not gonna be productive. I'm not gonna be of service to this relationship. So I need some time for myself in order to get my thoughts together. I need to be able to really communicate how I feel. I also want to listen to you, to what you have to say. Because right now I'm not in the headspace to listen to you. That's how upset I am. That's how that's how deep in my feelings I am. You gotta let it be known sometimes.
SPEAKER_03That's hard, right? You gotta let it be known. That's hard. Because it's it's just too much logic in there to argue. Because he's still being cognizant of us, we. We. But telling you for real, like I like right now, it's just not like it it ain't gonna be efficient. Nope. Everything I say is gonna be sarcastic. It's gonna be smart. I'm gonna be attacking. I'm gonna be pointing. I'm yeah, so I need a little time. I like it a lot. All right, man. At this point, we're gonna go ahead and get into the QA segment of this thing. My favorite portion of the pod. Oh, what you got today, brother? All right. So we're gonna continue.
SPEAKER_06Well, no, no, no, let me let me go to number two first. Let me go to number two first. I'm gonna come back to that. Go number two first. All right. If a man says you're dangerous and slowly pulls away, what does that mean?
SPEAKER_03That means that man in the whole relationship, and this shit is getting a little too crazy. It's getting a little crazier than I thought it was gonna get. And I need to get out the way to salvage the relationship that I'm in. Anytime a man says you are dangerous, he's in a relationship. He got a girl, he's married. One of those. Man don't just say you're dangerous for no reason. Oh, I got a different take. I've never heard a single man say you dangerous.
SPEAKER_06I got a different take. Elaborate. I got two points. Elaborate. Two points I was thinking about. One, you dangerous because you got a couple other niggas that think that you still theirs. Okay. So you dangerous because I see how you move and I see your personality. And I could definitely see how a man can still feel attached to you. And if I come over here, a nigga might kick the dough in. So that's why you're dangerous. Another dangerous is she got that fire. And you ain't never experienced that before, so you ain't even trying to go down that alley. Right. Because it's like, I'm gonna lose myself if I continue coming over here.
SPEAKER_03I'm gonna lose myself. So I can't. I can't do it. You know how tight that grip gotta be for a nigga to say, I'm gonna lose myself. Because I'm gonna be like the wood I just told you about.
SPEAKER_06So I can't do it. You don't want me popping up in your blinds on the third floor. You wonder how I got up there.
SPEAKER_03With a flashlight in the daytime, bitch.
SPEAKER_06What's going on in there? That's what I see. When I say, when I hear dangerous, that's that's what I think about.
SPEAKER_03I mean, I and again, I can't necessarily say you're wrong. I think that a lot of men, we have that conversation in our head if that's the case. But I think that if a man tells you, baby, you are dangerous, more times than not, that man got a girl, man. Or that man relationship. And it's just like, yeah, I still want to hit. Mm-hmm. But I just know where it can go.
SPEAKER_06I just know where it can go. Okay, so flip it. Uh-oh. A woman says you dangerous and pulls away.
SPEAKER_03That means What do you think that means? That means that her and her dude beefing, but she ain't necessarily ready to leave yet. And you too smooth, like she enjoying the conversation too much. She enjoying the dates too much. She enjoys spending spending time with you too much. Y'all might have slipped up and had sex. The sex was too good. And I'm not necessarily ready to leave my dude. So you are dangerous. And I gotta I gotta stay away from you because you you gonna have me all the way twisted up and confused, and I ain't ready to make no decision.
SPEAKER_06That's what I'm trying to say. See, that's my number one. That gotta speak to my number one.
SPEAKER_03I mean, I'm not mad at it. I'm I'm just I'm I'm just trying to think like like has a man ever been in that been in that position. Because men typically, right, like if if a man got a girl, he ain't ready to leave just because a motherfucker is you understand? No, no, no, no, no, yeah. But like with a woman, when she says that, like she's starting to like you too much. Yeah, like you.
SPEAKER_06And I'm not ready to leave my man alone. You are dangerous to my psyche. Yeah, my, my, my, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Because I came into this, I thought I had this under control. Like my dude tripping, he ain't being what I need him to be, or whatever. He neglected me doing all these things, and I'm just over here just trying to buy time until he starts to act right. But now that I'm over here. You threatening that. You you are threatening me going back, and I still love him, and I still want to give him another chance, and our conversations are too good. I didn't expect it to be this good. I didn't expect the sex to be this good. I was here for fun. I was here for fun. We over here talking about life aspirations, and you asking me my thoughts and all that. You you sparking things in me that he don't. You are listening to me. Listening to me. Yep, there you go.
SPEAKER_06You are checking in on me. There you go. You are following up on me. You are holding me accountable. You are teaching me things. Dangerous. You are dangerous. That's dangerous. Especially if you ain't trying to go nowhere. Come on. Come on now.
SPEAKER_03Which is why I say, before we leave this, fuck that. It's why I say a nigga can't tell me about how loyal women are not. A nigga can't tell me nothing about how unloyal a woman is. Mm-hmm. Because it's a lot of women who'd have been in that situation. Know this dude is better for her. This dude pour into her in every way that she's been asking your ass to for years. And she will still not leave you for him. That's a fact. Dude, confused as hell. He like, damn, dude neglecting you. He putting his hands on you, he's doing this, I'm and she still won't leave him. I've seen it. I've seen it. So a nigga can't tell me nothing about how, man, he old ain't loyal. That's cap. That's cap. These women are too loyal. Too loyal. You might be on this up. It's real, bro. Because we done been on the other side of that.
unknownYou might be on the sub.
SPEAKER_06You might be on the sub. You might be on the sun.
SPEAKER_03You look at her like, really? Him?
unknownYou might be on the something.
SPEAKER_06Wow. So I'm scratching your head.
SPEAKER_03Confused like a motherfucker. It's like, bruh, really?
SPEAKER_06All the shit you've been telling me. Come on, man. All the complaints you've been telling me. Come on. I'm thinking I'm doing my next up.
SPEAKER_03Right when they get real good, she taps you on that shoulder. Hey, look, I'm I'm I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to lead you on. I didn't. But I'm I think I'ma go. You know, he's starting to act right. I think I'ma go. Come on, man. Then she gets pregnant.
SPEAKER_06And it's over. It's over. It's over at that point. You can't come back no more.
SPEAKER_03Hey, that boy, that boy knows something, man. You can't come back. That boy knows something, bro. You can't come back at the moment. Oh God. You be like, damn. Hey, God's honest truth. Broke my heart. That boy knows something, man. Broke my heart.
SPEAKER_06Speaking of breaking hearts. Uh-oh. Why will a guy risk losing an amazing woman because of his pride? And she put, he's in the wrong, by the way. So why will a guy risk losing an amazing woman because of his pride when he's in the wrong?
SPEAKER_03I think because he don't he don't feel safe enough to be wrong. I think that in certain relationships. Because men come into relationships already with a thing against vulnerability. With a thing against being too open or being too expressive, or whatever the case may be. So in that situation, like I rather die on my shield than show some vulnerability or admit some wrongdoing because I'm not sure that this is a safe space for that. Right? I think that there are some women out there who if you accept the fact that you're wrong, they're not looking at it from a progressive standpoint. They're looking at it from a aha. Or a like, yeah, see, I told you. Instead of a hey, I'm trying to, you know, we're trying to meet a common ground so we can move forward as a couple. So I think that men come in there with that natural skepticism. Like, think I said this in a pod, think I said this in a pod before, our pride is all we got. So if I sacrifice that to be stepped on, or if I put that out there to be kind of like taken advantage of, that that's gonna break me in places that I may not be able to rebuild. So I rather just fall on my sword in terms of the pride, and if it don't work, it don't work, whatever. I just pick up the pieces on my own time and keep it moving. But I also think that speaks to men not choosing the right women. I think that when a man chooses the right woman, he doesn't have to be afraid to be vulnerable. He doesn't have to be afraid to be wrong. I think as men also there's an unrealistic expectation that we supposed to know everything. That we ain't supposed to make mistakes, that we ain't supposed to ask for help or ask for advice. And men come into relationships with this warped mindset, like we supposed to know it all just because we a man and we the quote unquote leader of the situation. But I think that when you run into the right woman, that pressure is not there. She's willing to roll up her sleeves and pitch in. She's willing to give you some counsel, give you some game in a way that's not emasculating, in a way that doesn't make you feel less than a man. She's giving it to you in a way that, hey, baby, look, you might want to look at this this way, da da da, in an attempt for us to get to where we're trying to get to faster. I don't want to take the credit for it. I don't want to show that I'm I'm the superior leader or the you know what I mean, but that's the right woman. But when you got the wrong woman, and you show vulnerability, and you show weakness, and you show I don't know, some men never recover from that. Because how much damage is done once he does it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06So when when I think about that, sometimes I think us having boundaries and standing on our principles can also be like a downfall. So I think sometimes men will just stand firm in their principles and their morals and don't like put their sh put the shoe on the other foot. So I'm thinking about So I had an incident one time where I didn't want to give up my phone. And it wasn't because I had something to hide. I was just like, if you trust me, then I shouldn't have to give up my phone. But then on the other side, it was, well, if you want me to trust you, then you should let me have your phone. And so it was that battle back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. And I was standing on my standing on my principle. I'm like, yeah, you can see it, but I'm a I'ma hold it. You can see it, but I'm not giving it to you. And it was like, well, no, I want the phone. I'm like, no. So you gonna let me, you know, you gonna be let me be willing to walk away. I don't want you to walk away, but I'm allowing you to see whatever you want to see. I just don't want to physically give it to you.
SPEAKER_05Right.
SPEAKER_06And so from my perspective, I think that was just that was that was ego because I just was like, you can have whatever you want. I just this is how I want to go about doing it. Because I feel like I may give in in so many other areas. Like this is when I want to stand on.
SPEAKER_03Stay right there. Stay right there. Because I don't feel like it was it was ego as to why you did it. What do you think that was? I think that men coming into a relationship, it's automatically assume that we are gonna do wrong. That we are the ones that need to be pulled up to the level that the woman is at. That we are the like mischievous ones, or we the ones always up to something, or whatever the case may be, so much so that we psychologically take that on from a subconscious perspective. So when you're not doing wrong, it makes you on a grandstand. And facts. Because you're accusing me of something that I know I'm not doing, despite how accepted it would be for me to do it. So the audacity of you to wanna wanna challenge and for one and two, not acknowledge the job that I'm doing. It makes me want to grandstand. It makes me want to. You know what? No. No, no, I'm not. And it's not necessarily ego, it's just that like what the expectation is for men coming into relationships is unfair in comparison to women, so much so that women are able to get away with murder in a relationship. Because nobody's going through their phones typically. Nobody's checking to make sure that they're doing what they're supposed to do. Nobody's holding them accountable for not doing what they agreed to do. Men are so used to playing defense that we forget how to play offense in a relationship. Even down to cheating. You got niggas say, oh, women are much better cheaters than men. No, it it's it's no, they're not. It's just the fact that most men are not looking for their woman to cheat. Facts. To whereas women are it's it's an everyday mission. They're trying to go through phones, they're trying to go through social media, they got them setting up friends to try to catch you up cheating, all type of shit going on. Men not doing that, right? Like that. That's not our full-time job. But for women, it is, you understand? So, yeah, men are gonna get caught more. Also, partners are different. A man that's cheating with a woman in a relationship, he don't want no promotion. I want to stay right here. As a matter of fact, if you break up with him, me and you done too.
SPEAKER_06You're gonna want too much of mine.
SPEAKER_03Real rap. I'm getting, I'm I'm getting the best version of you. Why the fuck would I want to deal with the arguing and the headaches and the mood swings and all that? No, no, no. That's for him. I don't want that. In comparison to the flip side, women want all that. Women want all of you when they cheating with a dude who in a who in a relationship. So, you know, I I I say that to say like it's an unfair slant on men coming into the relationship. So when we doing what we supposed to be doing, yeah, we gonna, I'm a grandstand. No, you can't go through my phone. Period. Because everything that I'm everything that I'm fighting in terms of what the expectation is, in terms of my urges, in terms of my natural inhibitions that I'm fighting to be this man that you need me to be. You done, you done gave me a million and one things to work on, and I done goddamn accomplished all of them. I done worked on all of them. I done bent and turned and twisted into the man that you need me to be, and you got the fucking audacity to still question my loyalty. No. No, you can't get my phone.
SPEAKER_06I got a question too that to that before I get to what I want to say. How do you get a woman to understand that? Like from a man's perspective, getting her to understand the ideology behind the why.
SPEAKER_03I only think that it's possible to illustrate how passionate and how firm and how locked in we are to how we feel. And at that point, she'll have no choice but to respect it. But in terms of our thought process, a woman will never understand that. Never. But I think that a lot of men fold in that situation. Because just like you said, I ain't doing nothing wrong. Yeah. But you don't realize that you're enabling her to keep to keep you in that space of this person that I need to constantly be analyzing, constantly be looking at, this, that, and the third. Instead of just standing firm on what. No, that that's too far. Now, if I give you reason to move that way, I'm all for it. Here you go. I ain't did shit to give you no no no valid. That's just like a police officer pulling you over. They can't search your car if they don't have probable cause. They gotta smell some weed. I gotta see a gun. I need to see a knife or something. If that ain't the case, I can't search your car. Just because I ain't got nothing in the car, the police officer, hey, can I search it? No, you can't. It's the same thing.
SPEAKER_06I will add some context to be to be fair. I was on Instagram. This person messaged me, like, it was like 9.15. Something like that, they messaged me. But my my phone was open. So we, you know, we having a good time with the fam. Yeah, yeah, yeah. My phone was open. And so she was like, who that person is? And so I explained to who that person was. But they wanted to know more. I'm like, ain't nothing behind that. So then it was, let me see the phone. That's what took it to no.
SPEAKER_03This is all it is so. So she seen the conversation in there. Brief. Briefly. And then she asked you who that was. You told her, you gave her the LeBac story. Mm-hmm. You never hit her before. No. Okay. So gave you the Lebac. And then leading up to that, it wasn't nothing that you did to have her antennas up. Zero. Oh, well, hell no. No. Probable cause. What did I do to warrant this thorough ass investigation?
SPEAKER_06I'm like, if you want to, hey, what what you want me to open up? Like I was willing to do all that. What you want me to open up, Either? But to physically hand it to you, I was like, no. That's where I draw the line. Yeah. Any everything else, I was wide open. But to physically, nah. That's where I was like, no.
SPEAKER_03Because I'm not about to enable your insecurity. I'm not. If you have insecurities about being with me, I get it. I'm a handsome guy. It's a lot of women that want me, this, that, and the third, right? But if I'm not giving you probable cause to feel the way you feel, now if I'm doing some bullshit before that, I completely understand. Hey, you know what? Here you go. I did some shit that warrants this. But if I'm doing what I'm supposed to do, I done gave you the background of me and this girl, I mean, this great. Never had nothing going on. You can see the whole conversation. It ain't what you think it is. And you still want to grab the phone and go, no, no. No, no, no. And if you feel the way about that, go find you a nigga that's willing to bend to that type of thing, bro. It's just honest. Like, men gotta draw the line at some point because if we was to start doing that in in reverse, it would be a problem, bro. Like, we insecure. Like, you literally got women online talking about arguing about like male friends. And you should be cool with me having a male friend and going on dates with them and lunch dates and this, that, and the third. And if you don't, then you insecure. And it's like, what the fuck? Look, look, look, look.
SPEAKER_06Let me pull up with a 10 to the Mastros. Come on, bro.
SPEAKER_03You tell me. Come on, bro. You tell me who insecure. No, but that, but that, but again, go back to what we said. Men gotta be willing to stand on A square. This shit don't make sense and this shit not logical and there's no probable cause. No. And you gotta be firm in it and you gotta stand on it. But most men ain't willing to stand on it. So they always plan defense for the whole relationship.
SPEAKER_06Alright, next QA. Can you stay together when one person is growing and one person is holding on to the past? That is tough, man. Um one person is growing and one person is holding on to the past. Are y'all married? Let's go yes.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Let's go with yes. Then then yes. Then and and if if y'all married, then in that type of situation, it's on you to drag that person up to the newfound mindset. Is what it is. You know what I mean? Like when you take them vows and y'all walk down that aisle, y'all are both responsible for each other. You understand? Like, and and everything that you're doing new, the books you reading, the new church you going to, the new goddamn uh uh networking events that you're going to, you need to have your partner write that with you. In an attempt to enlighten them. Because a lot of times that's what it is. They just hadn't been enlightened to the things that you are enlightened to. You understand? And and and a lot of times when when we growing, especially men, I can speak for us specifically, when we growing and we taking in new information, we like to do it alone. We like to like we even, I don't even want to kind of leave our boys out of that as well. Like we we zeroed into it. I want to really dive into this and see if this is worthwhile. And then if I do feel like it is, then I'll bring the guys and hey man, y'all need to check this book out. Y'all need to check this, whatever, whatever. So, but when you marry, though, it's we, it's us. Ain't no I. Ain't no, I'm gonna go on this sabbatical and get all this information and then try to come back in and then, you know, kind of pre- So I think, yeah, like when you when you marry, yeah, like it's it's your responsibility to try to catch them up. Now, if they're just completely unwilling to take in new information or to adapt at all, then we gotta have a different conversation. Right. Right. But if they open to it but they just struggling, yeah, that welcome to marriage. For sure.
SPEAKER_06Welcome to marriage, brother. Can't so can you stay together when one person is growing and the other one is holding on to the past? I'ma say I'm gonna say yeah. Like you said, if you marry. Some people too, like with them with them holding on to the past, sometimes people are just afraid of getting outside their comfort zone. And I think when you get outside of your comfort zone, that creates like a fear versus that other person who has no fear. I kind of mean back like I was saying before, like that's that's similar to you wanting to get in a pool and swim. Right. Like sometimes the pool is not as deep as you think it is. Like, yeah, it's a lot of water, but if you get in that mug, it's only five feet. Right. But we can still get in this pool and I can teach you how to swim. I can teach you how to float. You know what I mean? You may not be able to swim for a long distance, but you can still be able to hold your own. And I think that's sometimes people are just afraid to take that next step and just slowly step outside their comfort zone because they just stick to what they know. And I honestly, I feel like a lot of men are kind of like that. When I think about this, I think about like, you know, your grandfathers, your uncles, you know what I'm saying? Like those that have been working at the steel mill or refinery 30, 40 years. Like, they're not trying to work nowhere else. Like they good where they at. They got their benefits, it's consistent. They know what their checks are gonna look like. They're able to provide for their family, and they cool. Right. But sometimes, you know, like when women, they're ready to try new things. They may want to travel, they may want to go here or go, they may want to move to a different house. But he's like, shit, we this house paid for it. Why do you want to get a different house and then have a mortgage in it? Right. You know what I mean? I I think about I think about stuff like that. So I think it just, yeah, it just takes y'all talking to each other and figuring out that that common ground. But um, I don't, I don't, in one aspect, I don't think there's nothing wrong with it. But it's just I think at some point though, there does, it does become like a gap where it's too far. Where it's like if I'm really striving to be way up here, and then you cool being way down there, like especially if if I'm the person that's up here, it's like, okay, something again, like you said, we gotta have a talk, or this just may not be the best situation for both of us. Because you're comfortable where you're at, and I'm not. I that was me five years ago. I'm completely different now.
SPEAKER_03So man, but the wild part is, bro, is this the same thing with friendships. Same thing. Like y'all grew up in the same neighborhood, y'all grew up in a sandbox, y'all did what y'all did. One of us go out and get a different experience. Come back. And of course, because I love you and you're my boy, and this thing, the third, I'm gonna try to put you on it. It's like, yeah, bro, I went out, learned this, boom, boom. We, you know what I mean? This is another way we can get some money, we can da-da-da-da. But a lot of times that's not well received. A lot of times that's received as you trying to stun on me, or you trying to show off to me, or you trying to talk down to me, and things of that nature. So it's like, that's how a lot of friendships end. It's like y'all not elevating at the same pace. And there's a jealousy factor there, and that same jealousy factor happens within relationships. You may have somebody who like y'all, y'all started out wilding, but she done found God. She in the church now. And she's trying to get you in the church, and you ain't going for that shit. I ain't doing that. I'm still out wilding, I'm still doing what I'm doing. I want to drink, I want to do this, da da da. And eventually, it's gonna get to a point to where, okay, your lifestyle is detrimental to mine. Like, it like at first it was cool, because like you do your thing, I do mine. But now it's it's detrimental because now we got kids. And I'm trying to braise them up in this way, and you still on some wild shit. So it's like I could try to put you on it, or I could, I, I could like try to catch you up and have you think the way I think, but if you just refuse to be open to it, now you're forcing my back against the wall, and I gotta make a decision. It's the same thing with friends, right? I done tried to put you on this new way to get money. I done, I done tried to show you this new hustle or this or this new lick or whatever the case may be, but you wasn't receptive to that. And not only was you not receptive to it, you start resenting me for it. Now, when I bring you around, you not an asset to me. You a liability. You you in here causing trouble, you trying to fight niggas, you doing all type of shit. And it's just like, bro, this ain't that. This ain't that kind of environment, bro. You gotta move like this, move like that. Man, I ain't worried about it.
unknownFucking up the money.
SPEAKER_03Fucking up the church's money. You understand? So it's like at some point, you my dog, and I love you. But I gotta keep you away from what I'm trying to build here. Because if not, you're gonna jeopardize it all. And that's the hard decision that a lot of people gotta make, not only in relationships, but with friendships. Shit, with family. With family. Like I love y'all. But but if I have to tend to every need you have, if I gotta jump every time you have an issue or you have a concern, I never accomplish what it is that I'm trying to accomplish. That's a fact. And I can't do that, right? So now you're forcing my back against the wall. And I gotta choose me. Gotta choose me.
SPEAKER_06So if I choose you, I lose. This is real. All right, man. We're gonna bring back the topic from last week. They got the internet in shambles right now. Shooting your shots. Hey, mad as hell, bro. So one one um comment I saw was what if I shoot my shot and I get rejected. I wanted to tell her, hey, baby. Welcome to the life of a man. Come on. Because us shooting our shot, we know there's a good chance that you're gonna say no. That you're gonna turn us down. And we may look handsome. We may have a nice fit on, we just got a fresh cut, we know we're smelling good, we got all the confidence in the world. But you just not feeling this for whatever reason. I'm 5'8. I got everything, but I'm 5'8. And you looking for me to be six foot. You know what I mean? It's it's like it's stuff like that that men have to take a chance on, and regardless, like if we see something that we like, we're gonna shoot for it. We're gonna aim for it. And so, ladies, if you shoot your shot and you miss, so what? Shoot again. Sometimes sometimes it wasn't just the best shot. That's just what it is. You shooting Steph Curry when you should be in the paint like Shaq. Come on, man. You should be shooting free throws, you should be shooting mid-range jumpers. Like you can't be trying to half court heave shots when it just Come on, dawg. So some you gotta like, just like you gotta date within your price range, you also gotta shoot within your target range. That's what it comes to at the end of the day. So, and if you know that you probably gonna miss, don't take the shot. That that's my opinion. Like, I you gotta have the confidence enough, or even if you do, if you if you do have the confidence enough to be like, you know, if if I miss, I just miss. Don't take a wild shot and then be mad when you miss, or want to talk down on him because he just wasn't interested. Like sometimes you gotta come with tact. Sometimes, you know, you gotta come the right way. You gotta come, you know, have the right conversation. Sometimes you gotta make them laugh a little bit. Like, it's it's many different ways you can do it. And I would love to have a woman on this pod to give us some dope insight and some dope ways to approach a man and try to bag a man. Because I think that would be super interesting. I'm talking about a woman that's done it before and it does it on the regular.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I think that just like everything you said, sometimes it's the wrong shot, sometimes it could have been this, sometimes it could have been that. Sometimes you just ain't that person type. Sometimes it ain't nothing that you did was gonna work. And I think in those moments of rejection, it tests your confidence. Recently it was a video that went viral. Uh, it's this streamer named King6'8. He's a 6'8 black dude, he got braids, the second third. And typically a lot of his content that I see that go viral is like, you know, he just chilling, standing next to his car or something, women throwing themselves at him. Like, I'm to my, like, let's go back to the room right now. Ah, like going crazy. You understand? And recently he was around India Love, who's, you know, well-known, like, you know, Instagram chick, video vixen, whatever you want to call her, a recently turned streamer. And he kind of tried to shoot his shot with her. She kind of curved him. Just kept it pushing. And then he went on a stream on the back end, was basically saying, like, you know, basically started disparaging her. It's like, uh, you know, these chicks passed around, and you know, she didn't mess with this rapper, that rapper, da-da-da-da-da-da. Like da-da-da. So I think rejection shows what your confidence really is because even because with dude, like he typically is very measured and laid back, and you know, hey man, hey, baby, whatever you want to, da da da. He always a smooth operator, but he ran into somebody that wasn't going. Mm-hmm. And that show who the real you is. It shows what your real confidence is. Everybody claim to be confident until they run into some adversity. You understand? So, yeah, I I would like, yeah, if you if you get rejected, you gotta chalk it up. You gotta learn what you can learn from it. Maybe, just like bro said, like, maybe my approach was wrong. Maybe I was too aggressive, maybe I wasn't aggressive enough. Maybe I didn't, whatever, but you gotta like watch them game tapes or whatever and take what you could take from it. But sometimes you could shoot the perfect shot and it still don't go in. And that's okay.
SPEAKER_06If anything, that saved you.
SPEAKER_05Right.
SPEAKER_06Because that wasn't the person for you at the end of the day. That should be a clear cut signal. You interested in this person, that person ain't interested in you. On to the next. Yeah. That just it's that simple. Don't beat yourself up. Don't talk down on them. Don't talk crazy to them. Like it's it's cool. Men and women. Because I know a lot of niggas that, you know what I'm saying, want to holler at a girl and no, I'm, you know, I'm cool. She may be very polite. I'm cool. No, thank you. Well, what do you bitch? There you go. It's like, bro, relax.
SPEAKER_03Like, relax. Doing too much. Relax. You gotta, you gotta keep it pee, bro. Like, and again, even like in ways, in getting curved, there's still ways to keep it pee. You understand? Like, you gotta be smooth with it. You gotta be, but again, like I said, everybody not as confident as you think they are. And in those types of situations, it shows that. Because I done ran into women who do didn't want me, who didn't like me. You understand? I ain't never disparaged them. I ain't never did that. It's just like, all right, bet. Hey, nah, man, it's nice to meet you. Da-da-da-da. Keep it pushing. That's it. Like, it's cool. Like, I don't, you know, every woman ain't gonna like me. It's a lot of women who do, but every woman ain't gonna like me. And like, you gotta be that that speaks to your confidence. A lot of people got fragile ass confidence. So if it was something that goes left, they jump it out the window. It's just like social media, the same way. You got people who will post pictures. They got 900 people telling them how amazing they look, how attractive they are. They got one person in them comments saying, Man, you ugly as hell. Bad as a mug. And that's the that's the comment that they gonna cling to and feel mess with their psyche and all of that. That's because your confidence is not where it needs to be. And that's the that's the unfortunate part of this. I mean, the unfortunate part of the uh about this game, bro, is that niggas be faciding, man. They confidence everybody. Stop looking at them followers and thinking these niggas is confident or these women is confident. Stop looking at how much attention that they getting from celebrities and these people, these people be fragile as hell. The confidence is not there. Odin been with me and around these people, and we done seen it in person. Shrink up. Folding. Like laundry on a Sunday afternoon.
SPEAKER_06Like, duh, what happened? What happened to you?
SPEAKER_03What happened to all of that swagger? It ain't that. You understand? So, yeah, people confidence is not where it should be, and rejection shows you exactly where your confidence is.
SPEAKER_06Hey ladies, let me give y'all a quick test. All y'all ain't gotta do it because I know a lot of y'all ain't gonna do it. But it's a game that the fellas used to play back in the day. You go to a party or you go to a bar or something like that. You have a little competition. Who can lead with the most numbers? That's gonna show your confidence right there. Some men may give it to you, some men may not. But it is it's good to, like, especially as a man, like it was it was just good to get the jitters out the way. It is. You get to, it's practice. You know what I'm saying? Like, okay, this girl may not like me, but guess what? I approached her, and now I can now I can see, you know, what things do work, what things don't work. Because you can say, okay, this clearly she wasn't the one for me. But then it's like, okay, well, I led wrong, or uh the joke was bad, or I was kind of dry with her. You know what I mean? Like it's certain things that you can see and assess after the fact that you can just work on, you know what I'm saying? Like, hey, like, ladies, like I said, ladies, shoot your shot. Shoot your shot, but again, put yourself into position. You don't have to carry the whole conversation, you don't have to carry the dating experience, nothing like that. How will he see you if he doesn't know you're there? That's what it comes down to. And you ladies that's leaving that comment, he the Bible said he finds the white bringing the Bible and it's convenient. That's what I'm how he gonna find you if he don't see you. Oh God. You think he looking like that? Come on, baby. Bringing that Bible up. Put yourself in the path. That's it. Put yourself in this, in this, somewhere in the in this in this vicinity. That's all it takes.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, because men don't want you to go all the way. Like, if you go all the way as far as showing a man interest, we are turned off. Turned off. That's just real. Like, you gotta leave something for us to still feel like a man in. You understand? Like, it's nothing wrong with showing your interests. Women do it all the time, right? Like, oh, you know, they'll get the sweet talking, you get the rubbing your leg when they're talking to you, uh, laughing extra hard at jokes that ain't really that funny. Like, like women are skilled at that, right? But you gotta leave us something to do as men. If you go all the way, we turned off, bro. You easy. I can hit tonight. Like, I like there's no urgency there, there's no excitement there about bagging you if you're doing all of the work.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, and sometimes that's too scary. You come and you leading off with, oh, you so fine, and then 10 minutes later you talk about me pulling up to your crib that night. It is hold on. It is like I know I'm good, but I ain't that good. Like, red flag. You either got something or trying to get me to get got. Hey, that's crazy. What to do?
SPEAKER_03Try to get got me, or you got something. Nah, that is a little crazy though.
SPEAKER_06Real rap. All right, man. Uh this last one. Yeah, this gotta be the last one. All right, all right, all right, B. Oh damn, yeah, we really all right, all right. It's for the it's really it's really for the fellas for communicating, but I want to slash I would like to, versus do you want to? I thought about that. So I was thinking just clear communication with your woman or somebody that you were dating. She wants you to know that. You want her versus asking what she wants you to do. Example, do you want to come over versus I want to see you come over?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so it this kind of reminds me of that like meme when the girl was, you know, they talking to her man on the phone and you know, this that and the third. She's talking about, yeah, I want to come over there, you know. Like, do you want me to come over there?
SPEAKER_08Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_03And he responds, I mean, you can come if you want to.
SPEAKER_08Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_03She was like, Well, what that mean? Like, it ain't it ain't sound like you really want me over there. And he like, if I didn't want you over here, I wouldn't have told you to come if you want to. Mm-hmm. She's she just wants a little more conviction. So I guess what what what you asking is Does the conviction matter when it comes to how a man is processing? I think it I I think honestly, it it it it it depends on what the man doing. Because let's say for instance that he's playing a game or something. Right? He's playing Madden or he's playing 2K or whatever the case may be. Like he's busy, he's tied up, right? But I like you enough to where I don't mind you coming here and laying next to me while I play this game. You understand? Now, if I'm not doing nothing, and then I say, well, you can come if you want to, but I ain't doing nothing, I ain't got nothing going on. With me and the guys ain't kicking it, I ain't playing a game, I ain't shooting dice, I ain't playing dominoes, I ain't doing nothing. I'm just like chilling and saying that, well, you can come if you want to, then that means I don't really like you like that. Cause if I like you and I ain't got nothing going on, I'ma say, nah, come on. Nah, come right now. Pull up. You understand? But like I say, that's all dependent on what the man got going on. Cause it'd be, because women be taking, you know, it'd be dudes that's playing 2K and goddamn, he got$200 on the line. Mm-hmm. And she's like, yeah, I mean, you want me to come? He's like, I mean, you can come if you want to, but shit, I'm trying to get this$200. And you kind of distracting me a little bit for real, but I ain't tripping. I I I like you enough to where there's$200 on the line, and I ain't even tripping on you being here. Like, that's so how much I like you. But if I ain't doing nothing, and I say you can come if you want to, I mean I ain't really that, I ain't really that impressed on you to come. That's just real.
SPEAKER_06See, I think women, women want to be wanted. And so you can't say you can come over if you want to. Because as a man, it's clear that we want you to come over. But we're leaving the ball in your court. Right. Like, yes, I want you to come over, but if you feeling like you want to pull up, pull up. But they ain't trying to hear that. They want to hear, I want you. You've been on my mind all day. I've been yearning for your love. Well, I'm hearing Barry White's song in my head. Something wrong with me. I've been yearning for your touch. Telling me. Telling me. That's for real. That's what they want. That's hilarious. They literally want you to say, hey, yes, I miss you. I want to see you come over. And they're gonna make that back.
SPEAKER_03Quick. I'm talking about leader, girl. It can be the homies over there. They say, yeah, girl, I'm gonna be back.
SPEAKER_06But you saying come over if you want to, that's gonna that's gonna sort of argument. She might pull up. That's gonna be an argument for about an hour. So you didn't want to see me? I did want to see you. I said come over on your merit. But it's like they want direction. That's what I'm learning too. That is. They want direction. That's true. Either way, if it's a no or if it's a yes. If it's a no, you still gonna get some gonna get hell. But if like they want specific instructions, yes, I want you to come over.
SPEAKER_03Women are funny as hell, man. Women women be wanting you to drop down to both knees and beg you to man, get your get your ass over here and stop fucking playing. You know goddamn well I want you. Hurry up. You're gonna have her ass right there in that car. All right, I'm moving away. Just here yesterday talking about do I want to see you. You've been here the past week. Whatever. I got$200 on the line trying to have a fucking argument. Women are creative before I start to argue. You don't really miss me. It's like, oh my God. Bruh, we've been together for 72 hours straight. You've been gone two hours. You talking about, do you miss me? The honest answer?
SPEAKER_06No. No. I've been enjoying about two hours to myself.
SPEAKER_03Oh, and that's another thing, too. Fucking weird. Weird. That's another thing. When y'all leave us and y'all think that we got all of this stuff going on. We don't. We are having an incredible time doing absolutely nothing. Like nothing. I mean, literally, like the TV not even on. We just sitting on the couch basking in the quiet, in the lack of obligation. In the just lack of just that. Maybe, maybe we, I think we should do something this weekend. Just basking in the lack of dialogue and just peace and like serenity. And your man sitting in front of the TV with the TV off for two hours, man. He's not, he don't have this elaborate plan to go out with the guys or to invite some women over or to do this or to do that. He ain't doing none of that. That man is literally on the couch just God thank you, man.
SPEAKER_06And she out with the girls, ask you what you're doing. Right. Nothing. Chilling. You ain't doing nothing. Nothing. Not a damn thing.

I know Jesus was God, yeah, the main side piece, but she wanna be the main, main, main, main. Difference is a sky, like JC and BG made. He vowed that we would not do it again. Damn, baby, rain, fine, I'm gonna, but you not know, baby, you so wrong. You need my advice. My life played a role, like I fight. Make it to the age, would you stay? Justin I late. Took me a trip to the sky, could you be my wife? But you said you played the other sky, like me away. It's a trip, but I keep it safe. Baby be the vegan of duty via DDL. Cause you're straight a chemin on my comma gotta CDL. Cause I made it on a duty, coming from my CD cell. Cause I made it every day, they'll put it for fair. Everywhere, everywhere, every time it's this full three months, for you fight for the fellow shit. Go ahead, go with the audience. Tell me your secret, it is safe here. Okay, we'll first see you with a whole girl. Okay, we know you not like mouth girls. Okay, we know you not like most girls.
