Tripp (and Graham) Has Issues
Tripp Has Issues is a weekly audio experiment in what happens when you give a very libertarian Baby Boomer a microphone and absolutely no adult supervision.
There’s no script. No panel. No “experts.” Just Tripp Dettmering, and the incomparable Graham Dickinson, bloviating their way through opinions, half-formed ideas, questionable insights, cultural gripes, free-market sermons, and the kind of musings that usually get you politely avoided at neighborhood cookouts. Some weeks he’s right. Some weeks he’s loud. Every week he’s convinced he’s onto something.
Is it political? Sometimes. Philosophical? Occasionally. Coherent? Not guaranteed. The only promise is that Tripp will say what he thinks, think while he’s saying it, and probably annoy someone in the process — including himself.
New episodes drop every Wednesday, because apparently one unchecked rant per week is what the world can safely handle.
If you enjoy libertarian takes, Baby Boomer energy, and podcasts that proudly admit they’re “about nothing in particular,” congratulations — Tripp Has Issues probably has your issue covered.

And welcome back to Trip and Graham have issues. We've already had issues today with recording. I am here in lovely North Georgia where nobody understands the idea of I'm recording right now, please do not disturb. And then we have uh Graham holding down the fort there in uh the low country for me. Um and uh everybody's investigating Graham right now. He's uh he's got people looking at him for the past. That's right. That's it. They're looking looking at all your your uh your shenanigans and so on. So I'm sure things are gonna go up real well for you. So that's yeah.
SPEAKER_02Mean and racist posts that I put up all the time.
SPEAKER_00There you go.
SPEAKER_02That's what that's what they're looking up.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Well, today's day it maybe work in your favor, I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, God was telling us not to do this anymore.
SPEAKER_00That's right.
SPEAKER_02He's telling us to hang up.
SPEAKER_00Oh, it's already uh funnier than the uh the monkeys podcast today. Monkeys Podcast was kind of gross. When you hear it on Thursday, you're gonna go, like, what are they talking about?
SPEAKER_02Well, from the last one, I was I was at the studio on the last one, yeah, waiting for our time to come on, and it seemed like those guys were talking about a lot of gross things.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_02They're disgusting people. The microphone monkeys are disgusting. I'm only kidding. They were talking about cool stuff that I learned a lot about while I was sitting and listening.
SPEAKER_00Oh, uh this time it wasn't even funny disgusting. It was just disgusting, disgusting, I think. But maybe it's because maybe it's because we had to use the uh the D script uh platform today and and I'm actually hearing what everybody's saying instead of you know laughing about it. Oh I can't wait to hear this one. Uh yeah, it's uh it's it it was strange. It was kind of like a uh a Zoom meeting, but um the recording's supposed to be a little bit better, and it seemed like it it was, but uh it's gonna be interesting uh when I download it and so on, piece it together. But uh uh yeah, but all these platforms cost money, and then they want it month after month after month, and I just like uh this is a little too much.
SPEAKER_02You mean they keep hounding you for payment?
SPEAKER_00Oh gosh, yeah. Yeah, even when you don't use the services, yeah. That's uh that's always fun. And then they they make it impossible for you to uh to cancel the subscription or whatever. Uh during it you have to go through an act of Congress in order to get that taken care of. Right, yeah. I've got several of those I'm still working on, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Well, I'd like to talk about diarrhea lettuce. Okay, Taco Bell. There's I'd like to Taco Bell about a taco, I'd like to taco about it. That didn't make any sense the thing I just said. It didn't make any sense. The joke I made just didn't make any sense. So everyone is shitting their pants off. Well, not everyone, but a lot of people are shitting their pants off. And I have an issue with this because I don't like the fact that people are still serving this lettuce and everyone's shitting their pants off.
SPEAKER_00Well, I mean, I I guess they've stopped it in some places, but I I'm not sure. Yeah, some they do. And I don't know if it's just the lettuce. It said something about, you know, two or three items.
SPEAKER_02Um there's blackberries and uh what is it? Uh I forget the other one. There's there's quite a few, but uh there's a whole list of them. Oh, yeah. But it's mostly it's it's mostly like natural greens and lettuce and berries. Yeah. Berries for some reason.
SPEAKER_00Well, it sounds like it's because of what they're they're rinsing it off with uh sewage, right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they they're rinsing it off with poop sewage.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Anyway, that's not so much of a deal that I don't have an issue with. That just happens. Uh my big issue that I have this week is flop cams. These flock cameras.
SPEAKER_00Yep.
SPEAKER_02People are tearing down flock cameras, and I think it's a wonderful thing. And I'm not a libertarian. I'm a conservative. I think that every of you listens to this podcast and shut up. I think I think it's a good thing. Uh but there's where this is one thing where libertarians and conservatives, I think at least agree, and it seems like everybody agrees. Yeah, it is an overstate, it is an overstepping of what government should be allowed to do. Because it's not that they're just, and I talked to a buddy of mine who's a who's a cop, and he says, Yeah, we're catching a lot of people with that. That's fine, but there's been tons of instances where these flock cameras are being abused by the people who run them, not flock themselves, even though they're terrible too. We we can get to that. But we're talking about law enforcement around the country who's misusing it. There's been lawsuit after lawsuit after lawsuit after lawsuit of uh people who work for their loc their local uh cop shop who are abusing um the rights to these cameras. And what that means, I don't know, but I do know the one of the higher-ups, one of the corporate people, like one that one of the people that started it, has been found. He was watching little girls in a gymnastics uh kind of I don't know if it was a competition or or a practice or whatever, but they they have these flock cameras inside flock provide see this is the thing. Flock doesn't just provide license plate readers, they provide cameras everywhere. You can buy a flock camera like Flock security, I can have one in my house.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And the problem is when they're able to access those things for things that aren't law enforcement, yeah, that's a big problem. And you're when you're watching little kids doing gymnastics and there's a guy in court for it right now. That's uh I mean, it we've got to tear down all the flock cameras. So people around the country are tearing down these cameras, and I think it's a beautiful thing. Oh yeah. I guess I I I could be considered considered a libertarian on that front.
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah. As a matter of fact, uh a bunch of the libertarians are putting out, you know, uh statements and so on. Uh I can't words are leaving my brain here as we speak, uh, but they're yeah, to to uh uh uh in opposition to the flock cameras that are going out. And um they are also saying that the some people are putting up uh like um what do you want to call it? Uh obstacles in front of the flock cameras so that they can't see out. Or uh there's also a meme that's going out that says do not buy the $12 um green lasers and shine them into flock cameras because they can damage the uh mechanism.
SPEAKER_02They're not that they're not saying it, but they're saying it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. They're saying not to do that. Yeah. And you know what that's which is genius.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's what I mean. They're they're not saying it, but they're saying, but the I how I here's my thing. And I deal with this a lot with street photography. This is this is the issue.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02If more people do this, just like street photography, like these auditors. Have you seen the like the auditors on YouTube who just go and and go into a post office and you know start recording people? Right. I'm worried, I'm genuinely worried that someday, especially with the way that liberals are, they may pass a bill that ends that stuff. Uh, you can't shine a laser into a helicopter or an airplane, of course. We all know that. But can you shine a laser into a flock camera? Will they will they ban that? Now, the good thing is there's a lot of uh police departments around the country who are saying no, we're done with flock cameras. That's be the people. If you want to talk about this, it is the biggest instance of we the people that I have seen in in my lifetime at least, where we're saying, nope, you're not gonna spy on us. We're done. It's not gonna happen. We're gonna tear all these things down, it's not gonna happen. But will Congress pass a bill that says, nope, you can't do that to flock cameras, you'll be arrested. That's what I'm worried about.
SPEAKER_00Well, it's you know, it would probably start on the local levels where they'd put these things through and then it would have to be challenged in the upper courts. Yeah, you're you're absolutely right. Um, yeah, it it's I I don't know if this is hyperbole, if it's real, or if somebody just you know created the story, but I I had heard or uh saw that where somebody was saying, you know, they had reports of a very conservative um uh police chief in some small southern town that was real big for flock cameras. And um then he was challenged as to his uh uh uh a time card uh for being, you know, in uh at work and not at work. And um and they used uh uh camera footage of him going to the golf course, going to, you know, restaurants and things like that when he was supposedly supposed to be at work. And that pissed him off so much because he lost his you know uh appeal on uh on his pay record that all of a sudden he became very libertarian and wanted to get rid of all the flock cameras. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that'll do that to you. Exactly.
SPEAKER_00It's as soon as it's soon as in trouble, that'll do that. Yeah, as soon as it gets into your yeah uh uh civil rights, because that's not what they're for. He didn't he didn't do anything illegal, uh immoral possibly, but not illegal. And um Yeah, this is something that they should have come up with, you know, him not clocking in or somebody telling telling them that he wasn't there, not that they had camera footage from him uh you know, diddling wrong.
SPEAKER_02And say and and that kind of plays into what what what my point was is you look, law enforcement has been able to do what they do for a long time, and they they've done it effectively. Block cameras are relatively new. We don't have to have those for law enforcement. Like I said, I talked to a buddy of mine who's a who's a who's a cop, and he says, Well, yeah, we're finding a lot of people with uh stolen cars and doing all this. And well, it's like, wait a second, you so you're saying that you couldn't find stolen cars before this mass surveillance? Right. Uh that doesn't make any sense. Uh so there and it was only one guy who said that. Most of the people that I've seen are against them. And it's not because people, it's not because people want to break the law. It's not, it has nothing to do with you know trying to get away with anything.
SPEAKER_00No.
SPEAKER_02It has to do with the common individual with us not first of all, even if I did steal a car.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02Let's say I did.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And uh just it I I don't I I'm trying to figure out a way to put this. Even if I did steal a car, that doesn't mean that I can be surveilled for my entire life. No. It it just means that I stole a car and I shouldn't have done that, and the police are gonna find me. They're going somebody whose car I stole is gonna call into the police, they can run the tag numbers and find out where I am. This is this is common knowledge. There is there was no problem where police couldn't find people before. No. Where they needed these cameras. No. So it's just the whole thing is it it's it's we're we're talking about surveillance. And that's in the Fourth Amendment. You cannot surveil, you cannot search and seizure for no for no reason, and this is search and seizure. And especially when you have law enforcement people looking at these cameras and doing it for nefarious reasons. Like I say, with the with the the guy at flock looking at little kids doing gymnastics.
SPEAKER_00Uh yeah. That this is that's my issue with it. Well, it is, and the other thing that I have an issue with is uh what I call the dumb city programs, the smart city programs that these uh municipalities have bought into, which have failed miserably at all these other places that they were tested on, you know, previously. And yet they they have all these uh real nice, fancy brochures and where they're saying, oh, look how successful it was, because the people we have in government are too stupid to do actual research. They're like, oh well, the the glossy thing here says it's great, so I'm gonna vote for it instead of doing some research and finding out how miserable and failure these things are and costly. Yeah, and um, of course, you know, Ory County and Myrtle Beach, the geniuses we have on the boards there passed it, and um, that's why we've got the cameras that are gonna be starting coming into our areas that already have, uh, really. And um they don't really understand the handing over the keys to the kingdom. They think, oh, well, that's gonna give us a little bit more power and a little bit more. No, it's not, it's gonna start giving more power to the people who are looking over your shoulders.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and it's it just happened like it with a flock. There was a guy, uh a couple of cops in South Carolina who are just being uh investigated for using them improperly.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So that's that's anybody who thinks that this is what I want to say about flock cameras. It and like you just said, there's not a people a lot of people who know about it, like you said, just looking at the gloss version, the flyer version of how things are great for you. We're gonna find all this stuff. Exactly like you just said. Now you need to look into this stuff because they are surveilling you, they're going to find out who you are, and they're gonna make mistakes. That's the other thing. There was a guy who was a had a um, they mistook him for uh a stolen car. And he was he he went to jail. He had to sit in in a holding cell for a while until he figured it out.
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_02Now that's not that's that's not um uh the that's not a founding principle. We we I understand that the flock cameras weren't around when the founding problems broke the constitution, but the constitution means something, especially if you're originalist. You have to be able to find that. Exactly. You're right. That's there is it we can't keep this up, and that's that's one of my biggest issues, is these flock cameras. And I I I think a lot of people will uh see me as a conservative and say, Oh, yeah, you you want to be for for law and order, right? Yeah, yeah, I want to be for law and order, but not treading on the it's like a don't step on me, I'm a snake. Yeah, I uh no steppy. I'm one of those guys.
SPEAKER_00Yeah in this city.
SPEAKER_02I'm I'm a guy who says, Yes, I want law and order, but you cannot step on our constitutional rights, you cannot step on our privacy. We the people will not have it.
SPEAKER_00No, no, it's it's it's exactly it. And um it's and it's creep. You know, if they've got those, then they'll have facial recognition that goes in, and and then we're just gonna be like uh CCP, like China, yeah. So yeah, it's just uh but it's that's the thing.
SPEAKER_02If you if you if you want that, go live in China. Exactly right. And I'm just looking at Brown News, and I looked at President Z delivers keynote speech. So it's funny you said China, and I just I don't that doesn't mean anything, but I just looked at President Z here on my on my ground news. By the way, ground news, uh mention us and you'll get $150 off on your subscription to Brown News. There you go. I said Brown News, ground.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. But ground news is excellent. It it's great because you can see if it's left or right, or uh, you know, uh who who which uh mainstream media is ignoring the other one and and so on. It's really good.
SPEAKER_02Good um Yeah, and they they've got a new uh they've got a new part of it where it says uh if whether it's they'll show if it's highly factual. Uh-huh. Any click you look anything you click on, it'll say if it's highly factual or not. So they're they're doing a good job at ground news. Yeah, that's that's and there is a subscription, but yeah. But they're they're they're good with this. Um anyway, I'm I'm I'm off on my tangent about that. I think flock cams should be deleted. By the way, you see a local flock cam in your area. I'm not telling anybody to break the law. No, but you should but you should go tear it down.
SPEAKER_00You should go tear it down the flock cam. That's it. I mean, it's it's not like they're just on major highways in the middle of nowhere. This is uh they're putting up in municipalities and so on, so this is crazy. Yeah, yeah. Uh yeah, it I mean, eh, crazy. Yeah. The other thing too is uh that's driving me nuts as of late, is when I've been driving around uh Garden City or the uh surfside area, the people who are driving their um golf carts on King's Highway.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god. I have the same problem here.
SPEAKER_00Oh, y you you do? Okay.
SPEAKER_02There's the same problem on 38th Avenue where I live. They're going to the beach, and the problem is they won't pull over when they see a line of cars behind them.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That that's the other thing. It should not be legal, but they also won't pull over. And I when I mean they won't pull over, I mean every single one of them. Yeah. I've never had an instance where somebody pulls over. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Anyway, go ahead. So let to let people, yeah, that that have to have jobs and have appointments and everything else get by. Um, no, because they have to uh uh putter around on their their frickin' um electric vehicle uh at 12 miles an hour on a on a regular s street or road.
SPEAKER_02But uh And when you say 12 miles an hour, that literally is 12 miles an hour. That's what they do. Yeah, and they just don't care.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because usually that's about what they max out at. Uh yeah. And but to get on a highway, highway 17, and putter around, that is insane. And they're not supposed to be on it. But it doesn't seem like the police are really doing anything to pull them off either during God forbid we do anything to offend um, you know, uh a visitor to Myrtle Beach. Now you can you can kill us locals, that's fine. But uh yeah. It's just it's fine.
SPEAKER_02If they run over a CCU student or not the not the people on golf parts, cough uh golf carts, but if you run over a CCU student or you run over a you know a person walking along the street, eh, regular residents. We'll investigate it. Yeah, that's fine. Um but let these let these golf carts all over the place. And yeah, it's more of an inconvenience. I get that. I'm I'm comparing the two that may not be comparable, but the fact is it is dangerous.
SPEAKER_00It is.
SPEAKER_02When you've got let's let's say that I'm driving, like you said, there's a golf cart. So I let's say I'm driving to the beach. I'm going, you know, uh 35 miles an hour on 38th Avenue. That's that's the speed limit on that road.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Let's say that I don't see the person.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Is that dangerous for them?
SPEAKER_00Absolutely. Maybe um maybe it's nighttime and I just uh even if they have lights, they're not supposed to be talking to them. Yeah, even if they have lights, they're not supposed to be driving at night, and yet I've seen them driving in the evening all the time. Um, I didn't know that.
SPEAKER_02So what's what's that about? They have to have lights?
SPEAKER_00Is that no e even if they have, even if they have the lights, you know, running lights, turning signals, everything else, they're not supposed to be running those things at night. Um, yeah. As far as I as far as I knew the laws of Myrtle Beach anyway, I don't know how it is in surfside and in uh in uh Garden City. But the other thing too, though, is that in the wintertime when we don't have traffic, they will pull uh uh residents over with golf carts all the time because they want to make sure that they're registered and everything else and find the hell out of you.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's what matters if your golf cart is registered.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. Because they don't care about the commercial ones that go to the visitors and stuff, they just want to make sure that the privately owned ones and that are going when uh and people are riding around on them, excuse me, when they're uh there are no tourists or anything like that around here. That's when we have to crack down on them. I I yeah, and and of course that's you know, we have to have our uh our roads and road construction done in the the highest tourist season uh time possible and during the daytime, not in the evenings. Um yeah, I just it seems like this is bizarre world. Everything is upside down here in the in the Grand Strand. Well, just in South Carolina and the Grand Strand, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Like what we talked about on the last podcast with the construction. It makes no sense. It's hotter for the people that are working on it. Yeah. It makes everybody d you know, a hundred and fifteen minutes late to their appointments or to work or wherever you're trying to go. Yeah. I just don't I don't get it.
SPEAKER_00Or or keeping the tourists cooking in their cars while they're trying to get to their yeah, their uh their check-in time, which they're gonna be late for. Yeah. Uh crazy, crazy. Uh but uh yeah, there are some things though that are going on on the strand that they've got a uh at you and I are you know uh frequenters of uh Voodoo Brewing Company there at the uh Broadway at the beach. And on Thursday evenings uh for this month, they've got um Music Bingo. And I went there before I left for uh for Georgia. I I went there for the the initial um uh music bingo that they have there's uh Wave 104 uh hosts it, and it was a lot of fun. It really was. It was interesting. I learned I learned quite a bit about some of the music that they had playing. And um yeah, so I highly encourage people to go out there um on uh every Thursday from 6 to 8 uh on uh during this month. I know I've it's it's a real busy time here for a lot of us locals, but if you have a chance to, you know, go go there, uh, you know, get a uh what do they call that? Arack of um taste the beers that they have and um do Iraq and Iraq?
SPEAKER_02We already went to war against Iraq.
SPEAKER_00There you go.
SPEAKER_02Why are they doing that? That doesn't make any sense. We already we already ended that.
SPEAKER_03Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_02Well they should have speaking of that, they should have one called the Saddam Rack. Oh, there you go. Yeah. Yeah, that place is cool. We went to lunch there uh one time after one of our podcasts. Uh good people, good food. It's a real cool place.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and uh fingers crossed, they may be uh getting um our other uh sponsor in there, uh Rebel Rabbit, uh, is some of their drinks. So he uh uh Michael made a pitch for them to and they're gonna consider it. Um so that would be great. Very cool. Infused, infused beverages uh there. So if people don't want to have a hangover or damage their liver, they go to Rebel Rabbit.
SPEAKER_02Have you tried that yet? No, I didn't. Okay. Um that guy was that was that guy was cool sitting in on the podcast. That's it. He's a cool guy.
SPEAKER_00Oh, he's a lot of fun. Yeah. Great sponsor.
SPEAKER_02But I didn't get to try it.
SPEAKER_00No, you will. You will. Especially when I find out you have to be drug tested. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Well, that was that's gonna happen. Oh, there you go. I have to be drug tested for my for my own photography company. I'm gonna drug test myself. And if I don't pass, then I'm gonna fire myself. So that works out good. That works out good for me. I like it. Finally.
SPEAKER_03Finally.
SPEAKER_02Finally. Yes. If only Encore Video had drug tested and uh did alcohol tests on people, none of us would have worked. And do it on Friday. Yeah, during the Friday hideaway, do it right after that.
SPEAKER_0011 30 every Friday, knock, knock, knock. Hey, are you ready to go downstairs?
SPEAKER_02And it's my dad doing it who runs we have to dress sir. We have to direct test you as well. We have to do if you're you're are you drinking, we have to we have to test you. So Encore wouldn't have existed if no. No. Oh man.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Those were fun times back then.
SPEAKER_00Oh my gosh. Yeah, I don't know how many early Saturday mornings I woke up on the floor going, what the hell happened?
SPEAKER_02Oh man, that that place was fun at night. And my dad didn't know a lot about that, but uh we'd I'd have friends over and we'd be we'd just be drinking away and having fun. All of a sudden something shows up where no one can find it. Wait, wait, wait, where's the uh where's the computer for the editing or you know, whatever it was? I'm I'm trying to think of something that was so long ago. That was 115 years ago to me.
SPEAKER_00You and Tim also used it as a no-tel motel. Yeah, we did.
SPEAKER_02Oh, speaking, yeah. Speaking of that, we had a uh uh Japanese intern called Jell-O. Jell O. You remember Jell-O, yeah. I remember Jell O. Yep. And she used to sleep in that upstairs bedroom because she didn't have a she didn't have a place. Right. She was highly attracted to me. And I remember, can I can I say this on a on a podcast? Can I be launching on a podcast? You can. So I I hung out with her, you know, being drunk, I would stay there late at night, and uh, I wanted her to give me a BJ.
SPEAKER_01And she she said, no, no, no, I I I don't like I I want to I want to have sex.
SPEAKER_02And it's like, wait a second, I don't want to have sex, I just want you to, you know, I get S my D, I guess. Whatever. It's a podcast. Suck my dick is what I meant. There you go.
SPEAKER_01And she said, I didn't I don't like I I I just want to have sex. And and it I remember one night, I still remember this to this day.
SPEAKER_02It pissed me off so bad that I made her leave. I told her to get the fuck out of the studio. I was so drunk and so upset.
SPEAKER_01I was like, wait a second, you know are you such a day? Well, then you need to get the fuck out of you.
SPEAKER_02And it's like, what a second. Who says no to a uh having sex? They just want a BJ. That's how drunk I was at my studio. But those are those were fun times. I mean, there's instances like that over and over and over that were just it was it was such a fun place. And of course, here c here comes here comes wrecking ball Brinda.
SPEAKER_00Uh yeah. Yeah, it's gotta tear the whole place down because tomorrow we're gonna have a library that yeah, of course, that library doesn't exist. And um, and I I guess the uh CCU theater doesn't exist, and um everything else that they've quote planned for that area, which I always said, you know, my thing was that anything they put out there is gonna be fiction. Um and uh nobody would believe me until it actually happens, and then they were like, You actually said that? I don't remember you saying that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, she has amnesia. Uh yeah. The whole the whole city of Myrtle Beach Council, except for Bill. I think Bill's a good guy, but the rest of them they just have amnesia. They can't remember anything that was said, and they were brought in under Brenda, as far as I know. Are there any when when are the city council elections?
SPEAKER_00Uh I believe they're gonna have half of the council's up for election on no on this November. Okay. Yeah, I believe.
SPEAKER_02So you know the current city council was brought in under Brenda.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Is that yeah, that yeah, that's right.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So yeah, all these people are just Brenda Knights.
SPEAKER_00Well, you know, pseudo, because it's still the cabal had a lot to bring in, some of them. And um, I don't know, you know, if they're more loyal to the cabal or if they're loyal to Brenda. So it's uh it's hard.
SPEAKER_02You just said the same thing twice.
SPEAKER_00Uh that's true. But uh yeah, it's it's it's interesting to uh it's it's kind of funny too to see some of these people who are Brenda loyalists that all of a sudden have been like, oh no, she was she was terrible. We always knew she was terrible. And and uh things have changed now. And I'm like, uh really that's a good point.
SPEAKER_02I'm seeing that too. You don't see anything about uh Brendo or these people who are Brenda supporters. Yeah, you don't see them on Facebook. Myrtle Beach History, Myrtle Beach SC, keep America or Keep Myrtle Beach safe and clean. You don't see these these, I'm talking about Facebook groups, right? You don't see any of them on there anymore. They don't talk. No, no. So um, and I'm not sure if uh who's the new mayor, I forget his name.
SPEAKER_00Uh uh Korea.
SPEAKER_02Korea, yeah. Right. You don't you don't see him talking. So there was a lot of people who were very act, and I'm not even talking about during elections, which is strange because he was the Myrtle Beach Communications uh director for uh over a decade.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Now that he's mayor, we don't see him talking. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's a good point. We haven't heard much from him. I did see that he went to some community event, uh uh, but it that's it. Yeah. I just don't get it. Um coming back to that, um I'd like to my here's my last thing. I'd like to talk about James Fishback. Not James Fishback. Yeah. Yeah. Is his name James? Or is it I gotta look up his first name again? But this guy is good. I think that every and he's not gonna win. There's no way he's gonna win. Um I think it is James.
SPEAKER_00I I gotta be honest with you, I don't think I've heard of him. So this is getting interesting.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Oh man, this guy is it coming out against flock cameras. He said, yeah, James Fitchback. If he's coming out against Flock, he's coming out against and he says if if a bunch of black teens assemble on our beaches, we are going to squash it quick. He says, We're gonna bring AK-47s. Wow. He said this, he says, there's gonna be people there with AK-47s, and we're going to finish this. And uh listen, I know that's that's it may sound like hyperbole, but I I that's what has to happen. Yeah, and he's like I said, he's not gonna win for because he is so proactive and loud and being serious about what he means. Yeah, but this guy, James Fishback in Florida, for anybody listening, look him up. He is a he is a I again, I wish he could be our governor.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. He's excellent. I just read he's born in he's only 31 years old. Wow.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_02Wow. Graduated from Georgetown University, Republican Party. 2026 United States Gubernatory. Yeah, he's he's run running for governor in Florida. This guy is is excellent. Look him up when we get off here. Look him watch some look up some of his video.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I definitely will. Uh, yeah. And of course, we can't uh escape, excuse me, today's uh podcast without recognizing that uh Lindsey Graham surprisingly uh passed away. I mean that was a shock. Yeah. And then not surprisingly, we you know uh are replacing him, you know, temporarily with his relative.
SPEAKER_02Uh what do you what do you think of that? Do you think that that was Trump who called her, or was that McMaster? And what do you think of her as being uh interim senator?
SPEAKER_00I uh you know, to me it's a nothing burger, um, because no matter who they've had in there, it's just gonna be uh a regurgitation of whatever he was gonna be doing uh or or standing for uh, you know, as far as his votes and so on in Congress. So um and it's just a placeholder until they have the elections. So uh I didn't think it was gonna be that, you know, anything monumental. Um and uh I thought it was probably a brilliant way that they uh made sure that they didn't um uh uh piss off anybody by putting in somebody who is non-political. And so then they can keep their money flowing into their coffers from all these people and keep the interest up from all these politicians. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So see, I don't think that way, and that's that's why I like I like that we're friends because you say stuff like bringing the money into the coffers. I don't I don't think about that. So that's interesting to hear. That's that's a good point that a lot of people should think about, including me, like I just said. But that's yeah, that's interesting. Because if they maybe that's one of the reasons why.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, if they grabbed a political person, then all of a sudden they would have started change, you know, uh choosing up sides, people would have been withholding money, um, they would have been holding up, you know, bills and legislation and stuff out of anger. And uh yeah, there would have been a bunch of political football going on with hurt feelings. Um now that they have somebody who is nondescript, just some relative and a nobody and that's going in as a placeholder, then they they don't have anything to to really complain about, yeah. Yeah. Everybody's equally but miserable, yeah.
SPEAKER_02But then going back to the um I forgot if it was original or secondary question, but who do you think brought her in? Was that Trump or McMaster? Or did McMaster have an influence from Trump?
SPEAKER_00Um more than likely, more than likely, uh it was probably underlings from their both administrations that came up with that plan. Um I don't think, you know, uh Trump just wanted to make sure that he had that seat voted for his policies. So that was the only phone call he went and made and said, make sure you put in somebody that you know that votes this way and then hung up. You know, that's all he cared about. Uh then McMaster's people were like, well, you know, if we want to have any kind of pull or anything else, we can't piss people off. So let's find out find somebody that'll, you know, uh be the least controversial uh person we can get and is uh not gonna draw up sides or anything else. And so that's what they did. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02What do you what do you think about bringing her on um to to save the Save America Act? Um it is uh I I it was do you think that that played anything into it where we had to have a uh a guaranteed vote for the Save America Act?
SPEAKER_00Um, I mean, yeah, that and and a lot of the other things that that Trump and and uh Lindsey Graham and other war hawks wanted to to have going on. Yeah. So it's just uh uh I think there are some things though that Lindsey Graham probably was working behind Trump's back on that have gone by the wayside. Um and there are probably some things that he was working for Trump on. Uh one of them he got lucky, was you know, burying the Save America Act into this other uh bill, which also got passed for the third time through the uh Senate, and um is gonna be going to the House. So uh yeah, and that was I think that you know before Lindsay died, that was one of the last acts he did was to to bury the bill into another uh uh I don't even call it com amalgamation bill that's going through, yeah. But um, yeah, I just uh yeah. I I but I was just shocked. I mean, I was absolutely shocked that that he had passed away. And um and I guess he was coming back from a trip or something like that. I wasn't quite sure on that. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And yeah, he came back from I think it was Ukraine, and a lot of people on Threads and X, like I said, those are my spaces, that uh they were saying that well, who called who called 911? Well, it's already been shown that he called a senator's rep over the I gu I'm saying stuff as fact, but here I am saying maybe I I'm not sure who that's a good friend of Lindsay. It was said that he called his buddy's assistant or his own assistant. Yeah. And then they called 911.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Um now I'm not saying anything conspiratorial, but if you're having heart problems or you don't feel good, uh and here's the thing with heart attacks and the the way his um what was it, uh the aorta was ruptured. From what I hear, that's either instant death or you can kind of feel bad for a little while and then you're gonna instant death. And that's what happened. So I I can't I don't blame the guy for not calling 911. I just can't figure out which one of the people he called. But anyway, that's beside the point. Uh the people on X and Threads are saying, well, how come he didn't how how come he didn't call anybody? He you know he didn't call anybody who or they're saying who called someone? Well, there's two examples I just said and it's and it's on news outlets. Just look at news outlets and you'll see.
SPEAKER_00I I know he either called an assistant or his own assistant. I knew one idiot who had a blockage, complete blockage, and um still on a hot day remained unloading a truck until it was fully unloaded. Just thought that he was winded and hot and couldn't drink, so that walked um about 200 yards to a place to buy like um uh like Gatorade type drinks and came back trying. That sounds like a total idiot. And then they it was asked, you know, said, hey, I I don't I feel like you know, I I I should probably go home. And they said, Well, can you can you you know break down the uh 30-pound trestles that are only you know uh eight pieces of 30-pound trestles to, you know, and she said 130 pounds, excuse me. And so, you know, broke those down and everything else, and then uh people said, Are you sure you're not having a heart attack? No, no, I think I'm just not feeling well. Uh you know, go on, I'll shower up and have a good time. And then as soon as you lay down, then you feel like your head's popping off your your your brain and uh or off your shoulders, and then then you think you yeah, I might have a problem. And yeah, that's uh that's what happened to me about uh four years ago.
SPEAKER_02So yeah. That was a heart attack though, not an aorta rupture.
SPEAKER_00No, no, it's a blocked aorta. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02So but either way, uh like you're to your point with the heart issues, there there's a lot of times where it's either you you're gone or you just kind of feel bad and it's sometimes that you don't feel it in your chest, you feel it in your whole body that you're you're numb and things like that.
SPEAKER_00And he could have had that same thing where it's just an overall, you know, over the entire body, he was feeling bad. He couldn't pin it down to being his heart. Yeah. Right. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So that's what we were talking about at the cigar lounge. Like with my I I think we were talking when you told me that story, I was talking about my tooth. Yeah, I had a tooth that was hurting on the right side. Turns out the tooth on the left side was the problem. Ah, yeah, yeah. What how what are you doing, God? Exactly. So yeah, yeah, you're right. It's it's the human body just we can't figure it out.
SPEAKER_00Especially if you're a male.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Or Lindsey Graham. I don't know, yeah. That's true. And then the other thing, when you when you're I just picked up on some. But the other thing, like with women, the problem is with women, um, they're having a heart attack and they're having a terrible time. Anytime something uh their boyfriend does wrong, um, they they do it's a terrible boyfriend and they're gonna die immediately. Just because the boyfriend didn't do something. So women have a lot of I can't get no one can see me, but I can't keep a straight face. It's the women have a very hard time too. It's not just men, it's yeah, it's it's women who have a you know, we have to we have to understand women's needs as well.
SPEAKER_00That's right.
SPEAKER_02I'd say now I sound like I'm dismissing women. I'm not it's it's a joke. It's a joke, ladies. Believe all women.
unknownYes.
SPEAKER_02That's all there is to it. Yeah. Remember that thing? Yeah. Believe all women unless someone on the left does it. Uh yeah, that's then it's or I'm excuse me, someone on the right does it. Then it's no. No, that didn't happen.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, tell tell me about tell me about it, Platiner.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, exactly right. No, he's no, he just had a swastika tattoo and he raped a bunch of women and he hit a woman, and that's no, we we're still gonna fight. You know who said that she's still gonna vote for him? Uh AOC. Uh yeah. I believe it. Before he was before he was taken out. Because she's upset that she wasn't one of the women that got, yeah.
SPEAKER_00You've seen the cuck that she's uh attached to, so she's like, Yeah, yeah, I think I want to get slapped around a little bit. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02The souly boy that she's uh with. Yeah, it's like when when Alex Stein was on the uh Capitol Stairs saying, it's a big juicy Latina. He's got a nice butt. What did he do? Nothing. He said nothing. Yeah, exactly. He just let his woman be berated. Exactly. It's like, women, is that what you want? That's what you want. Okay.
SPEAKER_00That's right. Every bartender wants that kind of man. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Well, folks.
SPEAKER_02Speaking of Alex Stein. Yeah. Uh, real quick, speaking of Alex Stein, that's that's one of my favorite things. He says, if you're a nine, you're fine. He's talking about Latina women. Yeah. Don't don't deport the big, big, big booty Latinas. If you're a nine, you're fine. And I would go further than that, and I'd say if you're an eight, you're great. That's right. Alex nine is fun. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00On that note, folks, this has been another wonderful episode of Trip and Graham has issues.
