Welcome to the IO Diaries Podcast, the place where you find out what really happens behind the chaos and empathetic. Because someone's got to tell you the truth. And it's never alright. With tips for your big daddy, I'm Sophie and I'm Joella. How are we here? Oh god. Yeah, all good. What um what we've been up to? Both gonna ask the same thing then. So, oh my god, what the hell's happened the last couple of weeks? We've had well you've been well, so that's a good start. Oh my god, I've been very well. Very, very, very, very well. No illnesses. No illnesses at all. Touch wood. The girl is back until P gets poorly again. I don't. She woke up with snot this morning and I was like, no, thank you. Oh, is she full of it? Yeah, but I think it's the weather changing because it's been so nice. Sorry, if you're watching on YouTube, I am just gonna get the blanket off me. You get comfy. I want to get comfy. Should have got comfy before I look. I always feel like it's giving serial killer when you sat on the sofa in jeans. I can't sit on the sofa without without like a blanket. Is that what it hoped? Yeah. Like I hate it. I really don't like it. You like your legs all nice and toasty. Yeah. I just don't get how people can sit, she says. Cross legged. No, on the sofa with jeans. Like when Ethan does a little bit on.
SPEAKER_01That's a crime.
SPEAKER_00And it's like, stop it, you're being dramatic. I can't. Like, I don't feel I feel comfy when I've got like leggings or like comfy pants on. Yeah. I literally get in from work and get my pajamas on, no matter what time of the day it is. Do you actually? Yeah. I know Ethan's grandma pulled a funny face at me as well for doing that. And I was like, what? Yeah, I love it. I get into comfies. Like Johnny gets changed from work because obviously he can't get dog hair on what he does. But like I get into comfies, but I don't get it.
SPEAKER_01Oh no, I fully like get pajamas on. Like no bra, clean pajamas. Might pop in the shell before. Love it. Live for it.
SPEAKER_00I don't have time for that.
SPEAKER_01I'm a mum. Yeah, but you're in your own home. Pajamas. I still don't have time for that. And he's rest. I walk through the door, it's Mamma. Yeah, that's cute. And I just go so if you're driving or listening to Snoopy. And I'm like, what now? It's like that real. What's that? Olivia. Yeah. What do you want for now? Does it Olivia isn't it? Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I'll have to get you doing that when I didn't. Have you seen the gossip about her as well? No. What's going on? Is it the Pete Wicks thing? Yeah. I did actually I did see, I think it was the sun, so I was like, oh whatever. Same, and then I saw it on something else, but like they are fully having a smooch. Like the phone. You do you, hun?
SPEAKER_01I know. I love her. I think she's really good.
SPEAKER_00I also just think like somebody's private life, just stay the hell out of it. You're celebrity or not, but then you always want the gas. Yeah, but they were just like really good friends, weren't they? That's all like I'm not bothered what she does. Yeah. I'm just like I know I saw it, and I was like, oh. I know. Anyway, what are you up to this week? Where's work at? Where's the last time? When did I see you last? Well, you've had a really busy weekend. You've been on the motor. I have been up and on the motorway. Right. Can we just like before we get anywhere, like catch your prices? Yeah, I know, and you've just had me regularly. I'm really sorry this isn't even wedding. I'm really sorry this isn't even wedding related, but like, my god. Yeah, it's bad. I think suppliers are actually like worried if you travel far, if your region covers more than your proximity like 30 miles proximity, and then you charge over that, like petrol's gonna be way more than your mileage is gonna be. You're gonna be losing our little bit. Yeah, or you just have to pay the increase, which is I know not ideal, really. No, it's just a shot up, but anyway. Um yes, I've been up and down the motorway. What have uh when did I see it was yeah, last week. So I didn't see you until venue meetings are yes. So we've had venue meetings on Friday. Um I met with one of our weddings that we've got um in April, the venue stylist at um Merydale, and we just had like a quick like 10-minute chat. It wasn't like it wasn't like a meeting meeting, 10-minute chat about like table plans and seating because she just wanted to double double check stuff. On your own, a couple weren't there. A couple weren't there, no, nice, which was lovely. There was a wedding going on as well, so we didn't want to get in the way. Yeah. Um and then what did I do Saturday? I had a final details appointment, so I went to Chester. Yeah. Um for a final details appointment. Where did you meet? We met in oh, what's it called? It was a little cafe though. Cute. It was really nice actually. I'd never been in there before. With both of them or both of them and her mum and their dog, which was really cute. Oh, so how long were you in Chester for? A couple of hours. Because that meeting's always longest. I always say to couples like it's it is an hour and a half, like to two hours, because it goes over everything. Like it's the Bible of your whole day, like it is the sheet that everybody will sing from. Yeah, it is everything that you have said to every single supplier, everything that's in your head on one piece of paper, yeah. Um, and that is like the Bible for your day. Um, so it does take long because obviously then you don't remember things, and you have to go and check onto email. Yeah, loads of questions on both parts as well, I suppose. And then always they always think about more stuff and how they can do stuff, and it opens up conversations and that side of things as well. Um, but I give my couples access to that anyway afterwards so that they can go away and get the information. And also you can add it yourself if you want to if something's changed or anything like that, but then that sheet gets sent out two weeks prior to all suppliers. And you go on. What what do people add in at that stage? Just like things like that. It can be like little Yeah, it can be like little changes. So say, for example, if somebody's dropped out in terms of like not being able to come for sickness, or it could be if you've added on an extra table to your venue dressing, or you've added like draping in, or you've added an extra bouquet, extra bridesmaid, it could be an extra bridesmaids, whoever. It doesn't really matter, whatever. It could be literally anything big or small. That's just but people start to when you get to like three months out. I don't know if you ever felt like this, people do panic a little bit. That's when like the dreams start. Yeah. The nightmares. The nightmares, the the panics over like ribbons or cakes, or is people gonna get enough, or is Auntie Barbara gonna show up on time and not come as I'm walking down the air? Those sort of things, like yeah, the napkin scenario that we had the other day. Like those kind of things that make you want to change everything. They start, and that's always when people are like, oh my god, crap, I need a hand. I think it's because people have prepped so many on and so much that the last few months you're like, why am I just sat here when I'm getting married in in a few months? Yeah. I need to be doing something. So then your brain is like, right, did you do the what um what did you do on Sunday? Oh then Saturday afternoon we went to watch the rugby. Oh yeah. I went to watch Johnny, which I haven't done since pre-bi P being here. It was nice weather as well. It was gorgeous. So she was like ping, ping, ping, ping, ping, ping, ping, everywhere. Um so we went to watch him, and then Sunday I had a wedding fair. Which was Capestone Hall. We had on a couple of weeks ago when this comes out. Yeah. How was that? It was really good. Um it was steady, yeah. It was good. It was I feel like I had a lot of not like a lot, but like good conversations rather than like busy, busy. Yeah, well that's you know what I mean.
SPEAKER_01That's probably better for you.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and also all the suppliers got to actually have a good chat as well, which was really nice because we've actually connected with a good couple of all the suppliers. I've never worked with before. Oh, that's really good. Yeah. Did you share the IOD Iries podcast? Oh, yeah, because I shared the CC TV with me falling over. And then because obviously they were asking me a question about Cape Sound Horn, I was like, listen to the part, it comes out tomorrow. Oh, I love that. Yeah, get that in.
unknownPlug.
SPEAKER_00I was like, I'm just gonna plug myself here, guys. I need to listen to the plug the plug, the the podcast tomorrow. I always try. I'm like, mm, just get that one in. There you go. Um, yeah, so yeah, had a really busy and then today. I've got I had consultation calls last night, and then I've got more this evening. Yeah. After we've recorded. So have you got your first wedding this week? Oh, I have! Yeah, I thought you did. I know you're like the third one in, but I'm on my first. No, it's exciting. You always feel a bit nervous, don't you? Oh my god, I'm like, do I remember everyone? Yeah, you I think when you first arrive, I think every supplier on the first one of the year is a little bit like it's like riding a bike. Yeah, and then the heart 30 minutes passes and you're like, yeah, I remember now. I've got it. I know full while I I I already remember, but like I need I've got so much to do before then. Like, I need to sort out my kit bag, I need to reload everything. Because I've just like I stuff that I was supposed to do in January has like been left of this week. With the illnesses, you've not you've not had chance to. No, I need to reload kit bag and everything like that and make sure that's all okay. And then yeah, I'm so excited. Where is it two this week? Have you? Yeah, I have actually. Where where are you at? Merry Day on Thursday, and then Saturday makeup. Very nice. Lovely. What about you? How have you been? How yeah, much better than last week. Oh, by the way, if you have not, please go and watch last week.
SPEAKER_01I was just in a bit of a daze, I'm not gonna lie. It was really good, really good.
SPEAKER_00But yeah, I was on, and I don't really drink, but my um, I was on my best friend's handout in Paris, which was absolutely insane. Um I'm a bridesmaid, so yes, me and another girl. So how do we go home? Yeah, we planned it all, it was intense. You know the drill if you're a bridesmaid. Um, but yeah, one day between us all, we drank 13 bottles of rose. 13, yeah, we counted. And this was for like three days straight.
SPEAKER_01So then we came back Tuesday night and then straight into a podcast on Wednesday with guests, may I add? So I was like, uh, I don't know my name.
SPEAKER_00Um she texted me and she's like, I'm home, but I don't feel okay. No, no, I didn't feel okay. It was more the lack of sleep. It is, it can't I feel worse when I've not had sleep. Yeah. I feel more I feel even if I've not had a drink or anything, I feel really hungover if I've not had like eight hours. I know, and like we were well, we didn't have a really late night, later than normal, but obviously we're drinking all day, we didn't weren't really watching the time, then up really early. But when you have had a drink, I don't think you sleep properly. No, I don't I don't need and it's not your bed, is it? No, so yeah, I was absolutely shattered and hung over because our motto on the handy was the next day, like just have another one, like just drink it, just drink it all.
SPEAKER_01And then when you get home and you go to your total, you're like shaking, aren't you? But no, it was really good.
SPEAKER_00Um and the electrolytes with you. Oh yeah, loads, but they didn't touch the side because I'm not a huge drinker like at all. But no, it was really good, and Paris was absolutely wonderful. I believe I smashed the itinerary and the the themes, as did my my friend who who helped us. Well, I helped her. Um so yeah, that was really good. And then work was a lovely weekend, it was quite steady. Have you had a wedding? No, we didn't have a wedding this weekend. Oh, I saw your reel this morning, so I thought you did. Oh no, that was um Is that from the other week? Yeah. Oh. So then I've got a wedding on Friday. Uh um, why has it just gone out my head? Mine gone blank. Leak way. Ashes. The ashes, yeah. Yeah. And then, but I'm starting elsewhere in a Airbnb, then moving over to the ashes. And then on Saturday, I'm at the Palace. I'm gonna see the the lock for the first time. I know. Oh, it's so nice. Oh god. It's really nice. Yes. So I'm helping another makeup artist actually. Oh, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Your friend. Dee?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Are you having Dee? Yeah. Are you? Yeah. I'm helping her twice. She reached out a while ago for this one. Oh, that's amazing. Starting at 7am on Saturday. Oh, Dee, have you met Dee before? No. Have you not? No, I've obviously seen her on socials. Oh, she's so lovely. But how nice is that? Like, shout out to Dee! They really know her and you know, she's And she does hair and makeup. Yeah. Yeah. Maybe that's why I'm helping her then. Yeah. If she does both. Yeah. Um and then on Sunday I've got a makeup lesson. So we're all weekend, super busy. But it's really good. Oh good. Oh, you'll really like the loft and you'll really like Dee. Have you seen the loft already? Yeah. Is it really nice? It is nice, yeah. It's really nice. Where is it situated? So as you in the loft. Go through the orangery. So as you're literally walking into the orangery, it's uh as you go to the left hand side, go through those glass doors, and you know those stairs? Yeah. They're up those. It was a flat. So how does the ride get down? Down those stairs. Oh god. No, the stairs are fine. Yeah, yeah, god, I know that's fine. It's r honestly, it's really nice in there. Oh, I'm so excited. Yeah. They did need that. Yeah. For getting ready. I said that because also then if you've got a wedding the night before, there's no getting ready up on the mesine and then moving into the bridal suite. You're just in, and it's a really good thing because you can have the two places. So you can have if they have got like a wedding the night before, you're not stepping on any toes or anything like that. And you also then aren't as well. The thing about it was if you were in the bridal suite and then you had all your bridesmaid stuff and everything else in there, you're then coming back into that room at night time, and you've got everybody else's bags, you've got everybody's stuff, you've got everything, it's a bit of a mess. Whereas with the loft separate separated, you can actually then just keep your stuff in one place. Do you know if they can they must be opening that at a reasonable like any time then? There mustn't be a restriction like a lot of venues there is. No, because we're starting at seven. I remember what um Catherine said, what I because I did ask Catherine, but I had Paisley with me, and I was like, she I put her down and I was like, don't you dare touch that mirror, it's just been cleaned. I was like, no, no, no, no, no. And she had a gingerbread man in her hand, and I was like, no, it's still I was like, you are not doing this just before their wedding fare. Yeah, I'm excited to see it. It is nice in there. Is it quite spacious? It's more spacious than the bridal suite, yeah. God, yeah. So when you walk in, you've got a kitchen with the nylon and the table, and then you've got a mirror with the chair, which obviously will be where the bride is. Obviously, yes, you still need your lighting and stuff like that, because you guys bring it anyway. What's the chair like? A bit similar to yours, but it's got plough on the back of it. Just thinking, do we need to bring mine? That's all. Probably will if if you're you could always bring it, yeah. You could always bring it just for just um I think if I remember correctly, on the yeah, on the left hand side they've got mirrors and like a little dressing side bit, a toilet in there, and then an actual room for dressing into the dress. Oh, cool, right. Yeah, and it's completely empty, like there's nothing in there other than a mirror, like a sofa and your your hanger for your dress. It's really nice. A bit like Owen House, then. Yes. They've got the secret room, haven't they? I love that secret room. I do every time everyone's like I know, and I'm like, I've seen this. I know. But the first time I even was like, no way, such as an idea. It's not that it's not that old though, it's like a year and a bit. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. It's nice in there. It is, and it's really nice. It's a nice area for like the bride and whoever she chooses to just have a moment with no one else in there and just get in the dress. And that's what I did with my bride that got married in December last year. I just said like you and your mum being here, bridesmaids outside. Just let just breathe. You need to have a bit of a breather. Because also as well, when you're in there at Owen House, if you've got all say, for example, you've got five bridesmaids, you, your mum, photographer, content, and video, I know, you're looking at like 15-ish people in the room. Yeah. It that can't fit everything. That can't fit everybody. Just do it, you, your coordinator or and your mum, yeah, and then your photography team. Yeah, and then even then come up out afterwards and get your get your mum to go out and your hair and makeup to come in, do touch-ups and do something. And that's the chance to do a reveal as well. I think even if you've not planned one, it just makes sense to do one. Because people are waiting for you anyway. Yeah, exactly. And they're so cute. I was really against that for my own, and then it we ended up doing it, just ended up happening. It was really cute. I love a first look. I've just I've just felt like, oh god, it's a bit awkward. Is it forced? I I it wasn't. I just cry anyway, no matter what. Some get me, I must admit. I think it's more father. Yeah, father of the bride. It's if it's your dad or your granddad or your grandma or nana. Yeah. I'm like, I know. I love it at Owen House as well. Like, most of the time, like hair and makeup get to see the bride go down the aisle to the doors. It's the music that gets me. Yeah. I've like got all my stuff ready to leave out out the back door. Not the side door, sorry. And um I'm always like, oh, it is not. I really love it in there. It's a really nice venue as well. It's gorgeous. Shout out to Owen House. Yeah, Owen House and the plough. And the plow. All in one. Yeah. I know. So where are you then? You just got one this week or two. Two. Two? Yeah. Ashes and where else? The Ashes and the Plow. Yeah. Fab. And then when's your next one after that? They carry on now. Yeah, I'm the same. What about you? I'm the same, but obviously I've got my thirty it's my 30th in two weeks. Is it really? Yeah, so I've also then got oh we because somebody one of the guys that played rugby with Johnny was like, I bet you're literally back to back now, aren't you? And I was like, yeah.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00But then I looked at my diary and I was like, I've actually got a two weekends off my birthday. Oh. Yeah. Oh no, next next weekend I've got two I've just checked. Saturday and Sunday again.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I know. This is what I mean. It's like ramping on two or three a week. Now he's literally like. I feel like for me though, it's it's started earlier. Yeah, which is really good. Because last year obviously I started the week before I gave birth. Yeah, but then you also planned that this year, didn't you? I did, yeah. You purposely said like and then class of it backfired. I'm glad I did. This I know, which absolutely backfired. However, I must say I did catch up on all my inbox on Friday. It's on a one scroll screen, so I'm happy with that. Yeah. There's just a few things that I need to do. Um, just got some like seating arrangements to do and all that kind of thing. So that's tonight's job while Paisley's in bed. There's always a job though, isn't it? You get rid of one and then add another one to the list. I love it. At least five. I love it. I love it. Love, love, love it. It's mainly content, I think. I need to catch up on socials. Well, what have we been doing today, Sophie? That's what I mean about petrol prices, Joella.
SPEAKER_01Joella has had me ragging it up and down the car park where we film and record for this, which is gonna be, I hope, a viral reel. Um yeah, it was fun though. It was fun.
SPEAKER_00I feel like you have to be a good actress or actor. And then we've recorded another TikTok as well. Yeah. That involves sunglasses, two mobile phones, and the studio. And yeah. I think we'll probably do one one a time, probably try and get one in, won't we? Because we both we both know it needs to be done.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, when we do slack a little bit, sometimes we turn up and we're like rushing round from like previous jobs, aren't we? Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Like being on the computer, replying to emails, responding to to potential bride and grooms couples. Or just coming straight from meetings and things like that as well, yeah. So we do need to plan that in, don't we? Yeah, because we've got our socials down to a T. Yeah. We've just got to actually film stuff. Hit us up as well if there's anything you want to see on socials. Oh no, please let us know. I know we need to add a couple of things on what we've already spoken about. Like the app we previously spoken about. Yeah, and websites as well. Oh no, we did websites. We did websites. Yeah. Yeah, the app we need to speak about. So if there is anything like if you have a like, I know obviously we'll go through questions anyway. Like your recommendations as well. You know, like if they've like, oh I'm I'm using this and it's really worked for our wedding. Yeah, you know, you can share it on the podcast, we'd be happy to. Yeah, we're more than happy to do like literally just ping anything across. Because the feedback we've had from like the stuff we've already suggested has been really good, hasn't it? From from people saying, Oh, thanks for that, I didn't realise. But yeah. So yeah, just let us know and we can share. I know more than happily. So have you got any cross? Anything happened? Um I feel like loads has happened, but you know when you get put on the spot. I know. I've had to so Georgia's away at the minute. Um she'll obviously be back the week this gets out, actually. Um so she's away, so I was like, right, okay, I'll put in my notes like a to-do list when you get back, and then also um things I need to chat to you about because I I just get to we get to like having a coffee catch-up and it's like I don't know what's gone on.
SPEAKER_01Well, it's the the week and the time just go so quick.
SPEAKER_00I said to you, I was like, Oh, I've got so much to tell you, and now I'm just like, actually have I done. Um I'll tell you what we did do at the weekend, not work-related, but we um jet washed the garden, and oh my god, it was like a full day of.
SPEAKER_01Like I was like replanting everything. I was just like, oh, the dog was chewing all my new plants. So that's the only gosse I can think of at the top of my head. But that's because it was yesterday.
SPEAKER_00What else did I I saw? Oh, Tom Holland and Thingy got mar got married in secret. That's what I was gonna tell you. Um Thingy off oh Tom Holland and who's he with? Is it begins with the Zed? My mind's gone blank. I don't know who you're on about. Um Celebrity. Tom Holland, Spider-Man. Yeah. And who's he with? Begins with a Zed. I don't know. Oh my god. I know Spider-Man. Um my mind has gone blank. I'm gonna Google it. Show me the photo. Oh, I love how they did that in secret. Yeah, it's Andaya. Oh right, okay. They got they apparently got married in secret.
SPEAKER_02Whoa! Do you have any photos been shared?
SPEAKER_00No, nothing. So how do you know they're like they turned up to an event with their rings on and then it went round? Yeah, and I I saw somebody else say, like, they were like, oh, I really like that they've done it in secret. And I was like, do you know what I do too? Yeah. Like just because you're a celebrity doesn't mean you have to. No, and it doesn't mean that you have to. I know we thrive for it. Like it's like you put yourself in the spotlight. Of course, you're gonna be like, well, why haven't you shared it? Because you've got some sort of expectation. But no, like I really like the privacy. I really like they've just gone off and done it their way, and then they don't I wonder how they did do it. I know, same. See, this is what I mean. You even though we like having light in privacy, we're like, we need to know more.
SPEAKER_01Like, give me some where are you at? I'm joking. I hate the sun, but I hate it. Daily mail.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, four off. That's yeah, because that's what I was gonna say. I was like, wedding related, that's the only thing that I can think that has um that has gone on. Wedding related for me had a lovely trial on Saturday. She actually emailed me this morning saying, Thank you so much. You made me feel really at ease. Um, I love my makeup, lasted all day and night. I'm really glad I pit you um because you are very nice. Oh, that's such a lovely message. I love a message like that. I know. I got one off the Saturday final details as well. So there's something in the air, yeah. I think it's just the weather, just everyone likes to be nice. Why are we so British when it's like miserable? Well, it's it's gone miserable today. I know it's gone it's giving out rain this week except Thursday, which I'm like, yes, we've got a wedding. Yeah, it's like cloudy with sun, but then on Saturday, when we've both got weddings, it's uh raining. It's like 45% chance when I saw it. Oh well, oh well. Photos can still look cool with a bit of rain. You can just take honestly, like take an umbrella. And the photographers actually prefer it, they don't like blue skies, apparently. It's something to do with the lighting. Yeah, yeah. And then it's raining. Oh well, I've got if you if you do hire me, I've got clear broollies in the back of my car. Oh nice. And I always say, like, if it is raining, we just use them. Yeah. And just have fun with it. Like, yes, your dress might get a bit dirty, yes, it might get a bit going to anyway. The yeah. Just as long as you get it dry cleaned straight away. And it doesn't go mouldy. That is my top tip. Yeah. Right? If you are well, when you are getting married, not if, when you're getting married, if you're wearing a wedding dress, get it dry cleaned straight away because you do not want it to sit and fest it in your wardrobe and go mouldy. How much is it to get a dress dry clean? I don't know how much it is anymore. I bet it's a fair few hundred. I know the other place there but me does it, I put up a broken cross.
SPEAKER_01Oh god, I'd hate to be that person dry cleaning.
SPEAKER_00The pressure. But if you do it, the sooner you do it, the better. A lot of people do uh let it sit investor in their wardrobe, and I would highly recommend that you don't do that, that you go and get it cleaned ASAP and just making sure that you Yeah, you don't let it sit in your bag for days and days or even in your wardrobe for days and days because yeah, it's a good tip. Just quickly as well, we haven't really spoken about the content shoot we did, like the mini, we haven't with Jake. No, today we got our photos back. I just decided to do like a three-in-one kind of day. So I did a makeup lesson, um, I got content for me and and like my makeup and my kit and stuff, and then I was like, Joella, let's get some shots for the podcast. And we had so much fun, didn't we? Oh my god, we shared a sniffer. So funny. Um, just because we could not take ourselves seriously, and I am just not good behind a camera. Like I just I don't know, like freeze and go dead awkward. Yeah. When I know there's people watching as well, like I just naturally can't like I'm the same, like us talking now, fine, even though we know all three cameras are on. Yeah, it's absolutely good. When there's someone behind the camera, yeah. But no, um, we had Jake Donnelly help us out, um, and he's done an absolutely cracking job. So we'll share some photos and vids and stuff of that. Um Jake, oh honestly, those photos look insane. They came through this morning. I know, and he smashed it. Do you know there's 1,500 photos? He was at I thought he only took 200. Oh my god, you're joking. No, but obviously, I think that's including everything I did prior to us. But that's insane! I know. We honestly, I can't tell you the giggles that we had. Like, we were just absolutely when me and you get together though, we just got like two scarcades. I don't know what it is, like the child in us just comes out. Like we literally just like we were just like trying to do certain things that you'll see obviously by now anyway, but like Sophie had a laptop on like a heel and I was trying to found the heart. On the phone, like I've got a big lump. No, I I do. Ethan was like, oh, what's wrong with your foot? I was like, don't do what you could do, just sell it. Somebody asked all of it. No, I've got like a lump in my foot. I can't look at it, it's making it makes me feel sick. You know full well that it's gonna be bright, it's it's gotta be on it.
SPEAKER_01I can't.
SPEAKER_00Anyway, enough about my foot. Let's talk about some 2026 wedding trends. Yes, I'm up for this. I'm very, very up for this. I like it. Draw a chuck some at me. So I feel like this isn't a 2026 thing, feel like this has been around for at least a year or two. The vintage cake. So that has been around for years. Yeah. However, but you've seen more of it. Yeah, and also have you seen it when people are putting candles on it. Yeah, cute. I have seen a few, yeah. Like this idea that they both, if nobody's not seen it yet, they both basically a couple, one will stand at one end and one will stand at the other, and they will blow the candles out and meet in the middle. And it's really nice. Like a long rectangular one. Yeah. I actually I actually kind of prefer it because it's not just like the boring cake cutting bag for them. It's like they're like, I want to make exciting. And it symbolises like the meeting in the middle. Yeah. It's like they've made that wedding wish together kind of thing. Yeah, it is cute. Really cute. Another one, I feel like again, this has been around, but you see more of it.
SPEAKER_01I would certainly have done this for mine.
SPEAKER_00A dessert tower. So like Teru Masoo. Oh, Terumisu Tower. Unreal. 1010.
SPEAKER_01If you have got a dessert tower going on in your wedding plans, holla.
SPEAKER_00So if you'll stay until extend her services for the whole band.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah. Free touch-ups, I'm here. Don't say that. I'm on a lot of chickens. I'm joking. Oh, and this one, I love this. This is new.
SPEAKER_00So a projection decor. So there's like draping. Yes. So I have seen this when like a film gets played behind like you two and things like that. I would love that if somebody did that as a surprise. So if they had their surprise registry, yeah. And then didn't tell anybody they were married and ended up. I would love it if it was then. I'm gonna share that with one of my friends. Oh yeah, I am. All as well, I've seen like on one of these photos I've seen, it's just like old school film writing it says the end, or like happily ever after. Oh, just love it. Absolutely gorgeous. A bit like that on the Isle Diries, isn't it? That's yeah. The squiggly tee. Yeah. The drapage, which we've already spoken about. Have you seen all of the gorgeous draping that's coming in? I beautiful. Draping. Beautiful. Like literally love draping. Another one, a bouquet purse. Have you seen that? Yeah, so who did I see do that? I saw Extra Fleur. Nice. Do that a year ago. It's a really good idea, actually. You can wear it on a bangle. Yeah, and then Vanessa was their photographer, and they did it on I think they did it on a shoot, and they did it where Oh, so you saw it a year ago. Yeah, I think it was last year, definitely, anyway. I've never seen that so far. Yeah, and I would say I like the idea. I just really like a bouquet. I know. I'm a suit for a good bouquet. Um last one.
SPEAKER_01Because I feel like the mirror welcome sign's been around for ages with the wording on. But unconventional layouts are like you've got like Caterpillar Table! These picks are unreal, by the way. Wow. Um I feel like we should share some of these. Um I'm here for that.
SPEAKER_00Oh I love it. This this wedding that I have got in Merydale. Yes, is that we had the meeting for on Friday. That is Caterpillar tables. Yeah, unreal. It's just honestly, I cannot wait for this to come out because like it it's the most she's just got the most stunning vision inside her head, and we've just like we've pretty much executed it. And I'm not singing everybody's trumpets already, but like before it's even happened, it's executed. You know it's gonna be. I know it's gonna happen. And I haven't seen that in Meridatale before. It's not been done. No. I'm 99% sure. That's good for you. Um yeah, so they've got a top table just of them too. Yeah, they've got climbs either to either side. Um, and then they've got three rows of caterpillar tables, and the row that's in the middle that's facing them, instead of them having their backs to them, they will have um, they should have anyway, um, a tablescaping coming off the side. Oh nice. Yeah, so I'm loving like that. I'm loving like the fruit on tables at the minute and loving the whole I feel like it's going really old school though, like literally like years we're talking. Like it's all coming back, isn't it? Doing a full circle. Love it, here for it. We were talking about this actually at the wedding fair yesterday. We were saying that like trends are going back, like really old there. Yeah, to like they are doing like a full circle kind of at the moment, like the gloves and the pearls, the pearls, yeah. I'm here for that though, the vintage vibes, yeah. Yeah, so we've gone through a few trends. Um I feel like we were talking last time about doing a shower. Obviously, the last episode I shouted out to my friends and listener. Um, and I know you've got a couple of people in mind, so whether you want to share one this time or or whatever you want to do, so give them the shout-out that's needed. I've got two. Two. So yeah, I kind of can't miss out one. Yeah, I kind of can't miss out one because she's my best friend, so I think I would get killed. No, I wouldn't really. Um, I just want to give out a massive shout out to Maddy. So Maddy is, well, she has been one of my best friends and is like since we were little. So, and she listens religiously every single week. Oh, yeah. On release day. On release day, I'm pretty sure it's on release day anyway. Um, and she's always like, Can I ask this on the pod? And I get to the pod, and I'm like, I've forgotten your question. Can you just exit me? No way. Just send it in instead. Yeah, you're not on like my phone. Um, but yeah, like she listens religiously. She is constantly. She's actually put a few comments on our Spotify as well. Oh nice. Yeah, so she's so if you are listening on Spotify or you're listening on Apple Podcasts, just leave a comment because we'll see the questions and we'll be able to ask. And it moves us up and up and up. It does indeed. Um, so yeah, I want to give her a massive shout out because she's getting married in 2028, hopefully. Um, she's not booked anything yet, which she's aiming for then. And yeah, she's just like, I know now I want to do this, I know now I don't want to do that. And then the second shout out is to one of my gorgeous brides who is getting married at Sandhole. Um, we are doing on-the-day coordination for her, and she is called Georgina, and she is so beautiful. I've noticed Georgina's. Oh, she's just the most she's you are honestly literally the most kindest soul on this planet. Um so I think I've met her, I met her here when you when you were not available, she said. Yeah, so she met with Georgia. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I'm sure. I'm pretty sure it was here that she met Georgia. Because then I had a consultation call with her. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01No, sorry, last time.
SPEAKER_00Georgia wasn't here. When you weren't here and you were I think it was P's party. I think she came with a friend. That might have been no, I think that might have been Sean. Oh really? Yeah, okay, got that wrong. Yeah, sorry, Georgina. So if we got that wrong. Unless she didn't come. I don't know who Georgina unless she did come. But I've seen her name a lot and I know she's really supporting this. So thank you. Yeah, thank you for the both of us, both of you. Yeah, massive thank you. We are seeing every single person that comments, we are seeing in the DM. This is why I I think it's important to do what we're doing now because I'd hate the thought of people just thinking like oh they're just it's we don't recognise. Yeah, yeah, no, massively. I I agree with that big time, and I think I think as well it j we just want to show our appreciation for you. Yeah. Like at the end of the day, yeah. Like we wouldn't be here without you. We wouldn't be here without you, so thank you. Thank you, thank you. So, do you have any questions this week or do you want to leave them for the next one? I feel like we should leave them for the next one because this is just a general chit-chat, a quick, easy. Yeah, I feel like when we have a catch-up next time, we're gonna bring an actual catch-up list. I think let's make on our notes separately so we don't because we have if you that we obviously you guys want to know, but we have like a shared notes, don't we? Where we put everything um onto for the podcast of anything that we want to like talk about or anything. But I think if we do one separately, yeah, which by the way, if you have a business partner, shared notes and shared photo album, because not everybody knows about these shared albums, all my brides are like, what the helly? So when I take content of your makeup, every single time I'll have your number from the contract, but I'll pop your photos in a shared album, and obviously you don't lose the quality. Yeah, it's insane. So honestly, if you have a business partner or you need to keep photos without losing quality, and you've got an iPhone, do the shared album because it's a game changer. Yeah. Another little tip there. I do that, but I do it on Dropbox. Do you? Yeah. I just feel like it's easy for me and the bride and the the bridesmaids. Um, most people have an iPhone. Yes. And it's nobody knows that you can do it, or not many people do.
SPEAKER_01So you literally go on the photo, sh press share, and then select add to shared album, and then you add a participant, and then it's literally you'll accept the notification on the other hand, and all the images and videos and everything will be there, and the quality will still stay put. I love that. Another little tip, I should work for Apple. Primo ch But yeah, I feel like we've had a bit of a roundup. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00It's been a little bit everywhere, but that's that's fine. We have got a couple of exciting guests coming on as well that has been planned, haven't we, over the next couple of weeks? Yeah, we've got a big one potentially coming up that we can't really say much about at the moment. Well, that's an announcement. That's even not even what's even happening on the pod. That's like outside, which is really exciting. So keep your eyes peeled for that. Again, we can't really say much, but we probably will have said something by the time this comes out. However, if you're listening to it like and we've not, and we're a little bit behind because it like wedding season started or anything like that, then yeah, there's something coming. Quite big. Oh, quite big, very big. I'm really looking for I kind of want to just say it now, but I can't say we can't. No, don't say it now. We need to pick it up. We'll talk about that next week. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01No, but it's really exciting, it's pushing certainly me out of my comfort zone, and I've I've shared that already. Like, I'm not gonna be shy and and lie about it, like it's a bit scary for me. Um, but we're gonna be fine and it's exciting, and it'll do really well for a lot of people. So yippidao!
SPEAKER_00So I think we should finish up there and leave it for next week. But I hope you've all enjoyed. And if you want to find us, Joella, you can share the handle this time because it's a bit of a bit of a mouthful. Uh, you can find us at the Ile Diaries podcast on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Spotify, YouTube, Apple Podcasts. And Sophie, can you remember our Gmail account? No. The ILDaries podcast at gmail.com.
