Boo-Dazzle is having the best sleepover ever at Boo Manor—or so she says. She's definitely not tired, definitely doesn't need a night-light, and definitely doesn't miss her favorite stuffed lamb. But when the lights go out, Boo-Dazzle discovers that even brave Boo Buddies sometimes need a little extra comfort. With help from Dulce, Carly, a tiny stuffed cat, and a warm bedtime song, Boo-Dazzle learns that asking for help can be one of the bravest things of all.
Come on now.
SPEAKER_03Okay, so tonight is a sleepover night. Dulce's best friend Carly is spending the night with Dulce. They have been giggling for approximately three hours. They have had popcorn, they've done each other's nails, they've watched something that makes them scream and laugh four times. I was not invited, because this is a girl sleepover. Which is fine. I'm going to have my own sleep party with Kamet. Boo Dazzle, however, was absolutely invited. Obviously. Okay, I'm going to sleep. This part of the story is theirs.
SPEAKER_00Okay, okay, it's actually late. We should probably sleep. We're not tired. He literally just yawned.
SPEAKER_01Hey, that was a thinking yawn. I am not tired at all. I could do this all night. Sleepovers are my favorite.
SPEAKER_00Okay, boo dazzle. Let's get into our sleeping bags. Hmm, this is cozy.
SPEAKER_01It is cozy? I love cozy. Okay, I'm ready for sleep. So quick question. Yeah?
SPEAKER_00Where's the night light? I don't have a nightlight. I don't use one anymore.
SPEAKER_01Right, of course. Totally fine. I also don't need one. I was just asking for information purposes. Ooh Dazzle! That was that. I was just checking if the light still worked. It does. Good. Ooh Dazzle, it's one in the morning. Is it? I hadn't noticed. Very bright in here, actually. I might need a small light.
SPEAKER_00I figured.
SPEAKER_01Also.
SPEAKER_00Yes?
SPEAKER_01Lambi isn't here.
SPEAKER_00Who's Lambi? Her stuffed animal. Boo Dazzle, where did you leave her?
SPEAKER_01Outside. By the garden. We were playing and I put her down on the wall and then.
SPEAKER_00Boo Dazzle.
SPEAKER_01I know. Can you sleep without Lamby? Yes. Absolutely yes. I am not a baby. I sleep without Lamby all the sometimes. I sleep without her sometimes.
SPEAKER_00Hey, it's okay, Boo Dazzle. Yeah, I still sleep with my bear. His name is Mr. Tuesday.
SPEAKER_01Why, Mr. Tuesday? I got him on a Tuesday. It seemed right. Mr.
SPEAKER_00Tuesday is a good name. Okay, here's what we're gonna do. I have a little clip light for reading. We can put it on the lowest setting.
SPEAKER_01Well, that's actually really nice. Right, like a campfire light.
SPEAKER_00Exactly. Cozy, not blinding.
SPEAKER_01Cozy, not blinding? Like that.
SPEAKER_00Now, for Lamby, we can't go outside at one in the morning. I know. But, Boodazzle, you can borrow this tonight.
SPEAKER_01This is a tidy toy stuffed cat?
SPEAKER_00That's Minnie Gatta. I've had her since I was three. She is very experienced at being held.
SPEAKER_01Well, she is really cuddly.
SPEAKER_00I know. That is so nice of you, Dulce. Boo Dazzle, you look really sweet with Minnie Gatta.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_00Light on low, stuffed animals snuggled. Let's all go to sleep. What else does a big girl sleepover need? A song? I was going to suggest that. Dulce, do you even know any sleeping songs? I know one my mommy used to sing. Will you sing it? Sure, I can do that.
SPEAKER_02This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine. This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine. This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine.
SPEAKER_01Can you sing it again?
SPEAKER_00Okay, only one more time, boo dazzle.
SPEAKER_02This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine. Hide it under a bush song. No, I'm gonna let it shine. This little light of mine I'm gonna let it shine. Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.
SPEAKER_01Did Carly just fall asleep? Shh, she did. Before me? Before you I lasted longer than Carly. Yes, you did, boot dazzle. Now lie back down. Dulce? What is it? This is a really good sleepover. Yeah, it is. Can we do it again next Friday?
SPEAKER_00Ask me in the morning.
SPEAKER_03I heard the singing through the wall. I wasn't going to say anything, but Dulce has a really nice voice. And Boo Dazzle was brave tonight, even when she didn't feel like it. Sometimes brave just means letting someone give you a little light. And a stuffed animal cat when you really need one. It doesn't matter if it's your house or someone else's house. If you have one soft light and one good friend, you're already home. Say it with me. I am calm. I can dream. I am safe. I am ready to rest. Good night.
