Hey, my name is Meredith and this is Tis the Season! Okay, that was really boring. Uh Emma's not here this week. She's in Japan on vacation without me because I'm broke. But I'm there in spirit, and I would like to actually think that I'm there. But she's not here this week because she's doing that, she's having fun. And so for this week and next week, we decided that I should do some different episodes over movies just so we have, you know, some fun episodes come out. And we didn't want to start a show before she left. And when she gets back, she's gonna be super tired and she's gonna need some time to readjust to her schedule. So I'm doing another episode next week so she has time to relax and not have to worry about anything. Um, and we also just don't have time to watch the show when she gets right when she gets back to do another episode. So we're doing two movies, and the movies I chose, I chose one because they're short. Um, they're about 75 minutes each, so it's kind of like an episode length. I didn't want this to end up being like, I don't know, two hours long. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I I just I wanted it to be the about the same length of as like an episode, so it just has a same or similar vibe to it. And um it also has another movie right after it, it's part of the same little series. And the first time that I watched this, I actually watched it, um, I'm pretty sure with Emma. So funny enough, and she came over to my house and we were hanging out, and we just saw this movie, and I thought, well, you know, that looks interesting. The cover of it doesn't really give, ooh, sorry, my voice is cracked. It doesn't really give any kind of background information on it. So I didn't really know what to expect when I watched it, but I've watched this movie, I think this was my third time watching it, just because it is kind of goofy, but at the same time, it's not goofy, and I don't know, I just find it kind of fascinating to watch, and I thought it would be fun because it's completely different than what we talked about with um Heated Rivalry, so it is very different, and yeah, so let's talk about the movie now. Um, and before we start that, I'm filming. I was gonna film in the sunroom because it's really nice today, but the birds are being loud as hell, and I can't record in there. And also, we live close to the airport, so there's like airplanes that fly by every like five, ten minutes. So that would be really annoying in the audio. There's still some birds outside of where I'm recording right now, so hopefully they don't get too annoying. Um, but if you hear any little quiet tweets, I'm so sorry. I'm gonna try and get rid of them. Not not the birds, but like this, you know, the background sound. But without further ado, we're going to be talking about creep. So, again, I had no idea what this would be like when I first watched it with Emma, and to say I was surprised, um, is an understatement about how this movie would go. And I hope you have the same reaction. Okay, so this entire movie it revolves around this guy who put up, and his name is Joseph, he puts up this Craigslist Craigslist ad that he needs a videographer for some project that he's doing. And for this movie, he is trying to film something for his son to leave his son because he's apparently dying, okay. So the other character, our other main character, his name's Aaron, okay. And Aaron does a lot of things that I don't understand, and there are a lot of things he did that uh made this situation even worse. So we're just gonna, you know, listen to that unfold. So just at the beginning of the movie, the music is very upbeat, and it kind of made me giggle because I have seen this before, so I know what happens. Um, but it's very upbeat, and this guy, Aaron, he's just in his car and he's videoing himself. This entire movie is filled as like a documentary, and he's videoing himself, and he's like, Yeah, I uh I responded to this Craigslist ad. You know, this guy says he's trying to do a project and he just needs a videographer, blah blah blah blah. And I'm not too familiar with Craigslist. Um I've had I've I've heard a lot of stories about what can happen on Craigslist. So I don't trust like that. Okay, I I do not trust like that. So I personally would not respond to any ad on Craigslist, but to each their own. If you do that, please be safe, because this will show you that you should be safe. So he accepts this job, this you know, posting on Craigslist, and then he goes on to say he has no idea what it's over, who it's for, and what it's about. So you know the five W's, who, what, when, where, why. So we're not meeting, you know, like a majority of those. We don't know who. The where, I mean, we know where, okay, he's going to this guy's house. Mind you, it's in the mountains in like the middle of nowhere. Red flag. Uh, that's a red flag to me. We we know when. So we know where and when. We don't know who, what the reason is, and why he's doing this. Or, you know, there's so many unanswered questions about this. I I don't know if I can justify, you know, responding to this ad and not knowing anything about what you're doing. You just know where to go and what time to be there. Like that's weird to me. Maybe it's not weird to other people, but that's weird to me. And, anyways, he's driving and talking to the camera about how he doesn't know what he's supposed to be doing for this job. And he kind of makes a joke. He's joke, he's kind of like, haha, it's probably some old lonely, lonely lady that you know that just she's she's trying to get some young, handsome man to come out there and basically feel her up and you know, do stuff for her. Um, so first of all, I don't know any women who would post that on Craigslist because that is so dangerous. So, one, I don't think that would be someone who's posting that. Two, um, this house is in the middle of nowhere. So that's another thing that I have never seen a woman do on Craigslist is you know, post that and then the address is in the middle of nowhere. That's so dangerous. I mean, no one should really be doing that, but like, um, uh, as women, I feel like we always have to be on the lookout, we always have to be aware of our surroundings, and we have to do so many things that men don't have to worry about. And so in my mind, I just don't imagine a woman ever posting this. And as he's sitting there laughing about it, and he's like, haha, you know, some handsome man referring to himself. He's not bad looking, but like the ego is it's a little crazy. It's a little crazy because what what are you even thinking? Also, I he's also trying to tell this to himself to make himself feel better, I guess, because he's signed up for something that he doesn't even know what's what it is. All he knows is that it's some kind of video project, and I understand needing money, like totally get it. I I'm there, I'm right there with you, okay? But um, what the hell, man? I I don't think it's some lady who wants you to, you know, come feel her up and stuff like like what are you doing? What are you saying? Like uh that doesn't make sense, but he's still videoing as he's going. The scenery is beautiful. I love the mountains, it's so beautiful. I would love to go to there. Um, I would not like to have what happens in this movie happen to me, but I would like to go to the mountains. So he finally pulls up to this house, and the driveway is already kind of sketch as hell, and it's like a it's kind of obstructed by trees just a little bit, and you can't exactly see the front entrance from the driveway. It's kind of um hidden by those trees, yeah? And so he pulls up, and the only instruction that he was given was look for the yellow door. So he finds the yellow door and he goes up to it, knocks a couple times, no one answers the door, and then he decides to stay and call and see if the person answers. Um, so at that point, I personally would just go away. Like I would just go home. And he should have, he should have gone home because if I'm told to meet somewhere at a certain time and they're not there, like this this kind of exchange, I'm gonna leave. I mean, the situation is already weird because you don't know what you're walking into, but also the house looks creepy, no one's answering, and so instead of leaving, he's like, Oh, I'll just wait in my car, bro. Just drive away. You can find I'm pretty sure you can find another Craigslist ad. Okay. I I I feel like it's I mean, I don't know. I'm I don't usually go on Craigslist, but he should have just left, okay? So he's he's waiting in his car, and as he's waiting in his car, he sees this axe that's outside, and that's foreshadowing, so keep that in the back of your mind about the axe. So it kind of zooms in on the axe, and he's kind of just like, oh, okay, and just like waits in his car, and as he's sitting there, the other guy, Joseph, who posted the ad, he pops up and scares the crap out of Aaron, and he's like panting, acting as if he just came back from a run, and he's in like jogging clothes, all this workout gear. So he's like huffing and puffing, and he's like, Hey, are you the guy that's here to do the video for me? And the Aaron guy's like, Yeah, you know, I'm I'm here for that. And so the guy's like, Alright, you know, well, you know, I I'm uh I'm Joseph, and this is the house, and let's, you know, let's get this over with. And he says, let's get this over with, and Aaron was just like, what? And he just hugs him. I'm sorry, bro. I do not like random people touching me. And Aaron seemed very awkward about this in the in the movie. Um I don't want a random person to touch me, much less hug me. That feels very I don't it feels too personal. I don't know how else to explain it. So he hugs him and he's just like, okay. And so they're just they're just sitting there and there's like awkward silence between them. They're just kind of staring at each other. And I also want to say that Joseph is very normal looking. Like you would see him, and you would just think he looks like a normal guy that you would see at the grocery store, or a normal guy that you would see maybe at the library. I don't know, he just looks normal, which makes this even creepier, I guess. I mean, hence the movie name, so but he he has him come inside, and they're in the front entrance, and Joseph tells him this whole sob story about how he, you know, he had cancer in the liver, and then it traveled up to his lungs, and I wasn't getting he wasn't given a very good prognosis, but then he started chemo and all of a sudden it was just gone. Isn't that crazy, guys? The the cancer was just gone, and then two months ago it just randomly popped back up. He was having issues with impairment and dizziness, stuff like that. So he tells Aaron that he went to the doctor again and they found a baseball-sized tumor in his brain. Um, I I I don't know anything really medical. Unfortunately, Emma is not here to explain that to me because she's a nurse. So I don't know how big brain tumors can get, but I feel like a baseball-sized brain tumor is ginormous. Let me let me look this up because I was going to look this up earlier and I totally forgot. Let me let me see. Oh wow, okay, up to 8 to 12, 8 times 8 by 12 inches. Is that what it says? Okay, so they can get pretty big. Anyway, I I just had to make sure. But he says that he has this tumor and it's inoperable. This whole video project is supposed to be a video for his unborn son before he leaves because his wife, her name is Angela, and she's pregnant with their first child, and he's afraid he's going to die before you know he's able to meet his son. So he's trying to leave him a whole video so his son knows who his dad was. Okay, that's that's when we finally learn what this whole deal is about. So everything up to then, we have no clue, and Aaron has no clue. So if we have no clue, and I'm like kind of freaking out about it, Aaron's probably pissing his pants right now. Because this guy, like, he's not he looks normal and he's not overly weird. There's something about him that's a little like iffy or kind of off, but not to an extent that's like, oh, this guy's weird, like this guy's definitely up to something, like, nothing like that. He's like, you know, I just want you to follow me around and kind of video what I do during the day. Joseph says, I don't really know what I'm going to do, but you know, it should be fun. This is gonna be fun. So it cuts to them in the bathroom, and all of a sudden, Joseph just starts taking off his clothes and getting naked, and um I he wants it to be filmed. I'm sorry. Um why are you getting naked on a video for your kid? Like, I I understand making the video for the kid, okay? Why are we getting naked? And he's like, Oh, I'm sorry, are you are you uncomfortable? He says that to Aaron, and Aaron's like, oh no, this this is fine. Obviously lying, because what the fuck? Like I I can't imagine one answering Craigslist ad, two, following through said ad, then staying after the door is not answered, then I get jump scared in my car and I see an axe. I come in, this guy has his whole stop story. Now he's just getting naked in front of me. Okay. Holy shit. So he then gets in the tub, it cuts to him in the tub, and he was talking about how this is something that he wants to be able to give to his kid, but he might not be able to, and it used to be a really nice time with him and his dad, and it's called tubby time because they take a bath, okay? And obviously, many kids have like bath time and the parents are in there and whatever, blah blah blah. But this guy, I don't know, the the way he says it is just weird, and he's weirdly like putting on a show for Aaron, and he's just sitting there naked and telling telling him about tubby time, and so then he starts, Joseph starts imitating putting a kid in the bathtub, washing his hair, putting soap in his hair, you know, blowing bubbles, all this stuff, okay? And he's making the sound effects as we go along. So it's just this guy Aaron sitting there quietly, and all you hear is oh, there's a shampoo, blah blah blah. And I don't understand how he's not laughing. Um, because when I feel awkward, I laugh, okay? And that happens with a lot of people. So I don't understand how he was able to keep such a straight face and not laugh during this, because it's it is so awkward. You're with a stranger and they're naked and they're imitating having a tubby time with their imaginary child. Okay. Um, that would be so awkward. I just don't, I can't even I can't even wrap my mind around it. And on top of it, this guy has candles lit all around the bathtub. So now it just looks romantic. So he's trying to tell me time for his kid, but then there's also candles. So uh it's just such a weird vibe. And and again, I don't understand how Aaron isn't like, wow, this is weird, I should leave. I guess the money is that important to him, and then Joseph is like, well, you know, this is really sad. He's like, why wait? I could just end it all right now. And if I was Aaron, I'd be like, okay, I mean, don't do that, but uh, that's great. Um, like I would I wouldn't even know what to say. Like, that's not great that he's saying he could do that, but I I just don't what do you say to that? You know what I mean? And Aaron's like, um what? And so then Joseph goes under the water and is acting like he's drowning himself, okay. Aaron gets up and is like, bro, what are you doing? Like, are you okay? And then Joseph jumps scares him again. Mind you, this is all caught on camera, and this is very calculated. Like, this is something that he wants on camera, okay? So he gets scared again, and he he says that, oh sorry, it was just a joke. Just a joke, you said you can end it all, and then you act like you're drowning yourself. My brother in Christ, what are you talking about? And he's like, I guess it wasn't funny, you know. I was just trying to lighten the mood because we were getting so serious in here. Which is fine, you can lighten the mood. Um, perhaps not like that. Yeah, there's other ways to lighten the mood. Um, not not like that though. So then it cuts to them saying, you know, Joseph wants to go on this hike to this supposed waterfall, okay? And he's saying that it's cold out, he might want to get some coats. There's a coat, jacket, closet, whatever, and Aaron can go pick out a coat. So Aaron opens the door and screams, and there's just a big wolf mask sitting in the closet. And I don't mean like just that covers like the face and it has like the string around the back. It's a whole head covering. Like if it was like a werewolf costume and the rest of it was like fur everywhere, it would be like the mascot head above it. Okay, it's a whole ordeal. And if I I'm sorry, if I saw that, that would be another thing that I would be like, you know what? I'm gonna leave. I am gonna leave. And Joseph's like, oh yeah, my mask, and he tells another story about how his dad used to put this on and and sing a fun song, and he says that the mask's name is Peach Fuzz. What the fuck, dude? So he puts this huge mask on, and then he just starts jumping around and singing, and it's like Peach Fuzz, Peach Fuzz. Like it's so creepy. I mean, mind you, yes, the movie's called Creep. But also, it's so funny the way he just jumps around, and he's just making this up this stupid song that his supposed dad created, and Aaron's just standing there, like, what the hell? I'm sorry, if I was him, I would be in tears. Because one, yes, I would be scared, but also I'd be laughing so hard because that's funny, and also I would feel so awkward. Like, what the fuck? Honestly, if this was set in a different universe and Joseph was not who he turns out to be at the end, he would thrive in musical theater. I fear. I fear he would be a very good theater kid. Wouldn't be surprised if during high school he was in theater. Yeah. I don't know. He's just very theatrical. I think he would fit right in. So they end up in the car and they're going to this trail, and Joseph's talking about how it's this heart waterfall thing that if you're pure of heart, it cures you from your illnesses, blah blah blah blah blah. But it's not, it's like a it's like a legend, quote unquote, waterfall. Like they don't know if it actually exists. And it's even further into the woods. Another reason why I'm just so confused as to why Aaron is just continuously going along with this. Again, he should have left when he didn't answer the door. He should have left a long time ago. Okay. So they're walking on this trail now, and Joseph is just kind of, you know, fucking around. And all of a sudden, he just runs away. He just sprints away and hides. And Aaron's like, um, hello. So he starts following him, like slowly, slowly. And he's looking behind these trees and he can't find him, and he's starting to get really scared. And Joseph jumps out at him again, jump scares him. This will be the third time now, again on camera, out in the middle of the woods. Okay. Jump scares him again, and is like, ha, I thought that would be so funny. And Aaron is like freaked the fuck out. And he looks so mad. And Joseph looks at him and he's like, That's what you feel like when you're gonna die. Bro, who says that? What what the hell is going on? What literally, what the fuck is going on? Why would you say that? Like, obviously, that's gonna make him freak out even more. And Aaron was like, ha yeah, I guess that was fun. That was exhilarating, I guess. Um, and then they like they keep walking, and Aaron's like, so uh do you know where we're going? And Joseph's like, oh, we're just gonna follow the signs. Uh mind you, there's like no signs. Aaron's just like, um, okay. And then Joseph asks him another question. Well, he it's not like a qu like the other thing wasn't a question. But he asks him a question and he's like, so be honest with me. When you saw that axe outside my house, did a little part of you think that you know I'd use it to kill you? What who bro, the last statement he just said about dying, and then that question, Erin, it's time it's time to leave. It's long overdue time to leave. Um yet you're still here for some unknown reason. You're still here. This is your sign. This is your sign to get the fuck out now. This is not good. This is so bad. If someone was asking me and saying these things to me, I would be sprinting away. I I would be running. And like faster than I've ever ran before. What kind of question is that? And then Aaron's like, uh I mean I guess, yeah, ha ha ha ha. And it kind of turned into a joke. And then Aaron's like, so do you know the way back? And uh Joseph goes, no, we're just walking. So now they're lost. Okay, because there's a bunch of different turns in the trail. So now they're lost. Great. If I was Aaron, I'd be pissing my pants right now. So then they find this walkout point, like this lookout, not this look, not the walking point, this lookout point. And Joseph goes over and he's standing over it, and mind you, a lookout point, you know, it's a cliff. There's uh there's an area to look over, and then there's the cliff, and you can fall. And after those two comments, I would not want to go anywhere near an edge next to this man, but Aaron does, and Aaron's stronger than me because I don't know, he's not stronger than me. Um, I just don't think he has situational awareness right now or any survival skills. He has the survival skill of a fucking pickle. I'm not, I'm not even kidding. This entire movie, he has the survival skills of a pickle. Because what do you mean you're still here? What do you mean? So he goes up to the lookout point, brave of him. Brave or stupid? I can't tell. Maybe a little bit of both. But he goes up there and they look down, and there's a heart in the rock. There's like an actual heart formation in the rock. So they found this mythical heart water thing that will heal them. So they go down to the water and they're playing in the water, and they're just, you know, doing whatever. And Joseph hugs him like two more times. So weird, and you can tell Aaron's very awkward about it. And right before they leave, Joseph takes a small rock and carves into the bigger rock J plus A inside of a heart. Bro, you just met each other that morning. Um, I fear this is getting a little too crazy because I I just why did he write that on the rock? Oh my god, if I was Aaron. This is another sign. This is another sign. Hey, this guy might not be cool. I should leave. I don't think that crossed Aaron's mind. And if it did, it um didn't come to fruition, and it should have come to fruition. Okay. He's uh I don't know what he's doing. I guess he's just really down bad for the money. So now they they're leaving this area and they go and get breakfast, and Joseph's like, oh yeah, before they went, he's like, Oh yeah, I know this cute diner down the street. My family used to go there all the time because they're at his supposed family cabin, okay? They get to the diner and he's like, huh, I wonder what's good here. And Aaron says, Well, you said you you said you've been here before. And Joseph's like, What? And Aaron's like, didn't you say you were here before? Like you used to come here all the time with your family? And Joseph's like, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I did. He's like, but the the menu changed, the menu changed, but it wasn't very convincing. And again, if I again so if this was me, I already would not even be in this situation because I wouldn't have even accepted the uh ad on Craigslist. And if I did accept the ad, I would have already been gone because he didn't answer the door. So I will not be in this situation. But they're in this little tiny like cafe, restaurant thing, and they're just sitting there after, you know, he almost exposed himself by saying, I wonder what's good here on the menu. And Joseph looks at Aaron and goes, So is there anything you've ever done that you're really ashamed about? Mind you, Aaron could just make something up and lie. I don't know if the story he told is a lie or if it's a truth, but you can not you can, you can tell me what you think. So here is the story that he that he told. And the camera is now on him because Joseph wants to video this for reasons. And before before Aaron starts talking, Joseph turns the camera around onto Aaron and goes, Oh, you handsome devil. I would feel so awkward. I would feel so awkward. So Aaron starts talking, and he goes, You know, when I was a kid, I used to piss my pants all the time, it would be a lot, and so my mom she got this device that went around my wrist, and then it went into my shirt and down my pants, and if it ever sensed wetness, it would start to go off. An alarm would start going off. I don't know what device that is, but um I also don't know why he's peeing his pants so much that he needs this device. Anyways, so then he goes on to say that there was one day he was on the playground and he was having so much fun, he didn't want to go inside and go pee, so he started pissing in his pants, and then the alarm on the bracelet started going off and it wouldn't go it wouldn't stop because his underwear is wet, okay? And he was so embarrassed because then he was in the sandbox and everyone just heard this alarm and he was this loser kid with P in his pants. Okay. That if that story is true, um maybe don't piss your pants so much. If that story is made up, I don't know how he did it without laughing. Because um, if I'm trying to make something up like that, I uh it's really hard for me to lie. I have a very bad poker face. So there's no way, and he was so dead serious the entire time, like he was just deadpanned the entire time. And Joseph goes, Wow, that was really brave, thank you for telling me that. And then Joseph asks if he can go, if he can have a turn. And Joseph's like, you know, there's something I am also ashamed of. And Aaron's like, okay, and he takes the camera back, and Joseph starts scrolling on his phone, and he just like keeps looking back up and down from the camera, and he finally turns his phone around, and it's pictures of Aaron from when he first showed up. So that man was home. He took secret pictures of Aaron when he pulled up and was knocking on the door, and then pulled up to his window when he got in his car and acted like he came back from working out, huffing and puffing. So all that was a lie. Um, if I was Aaron, I would immediately stay at the diner and say, Wow, I have to go to the bathroom and then call the police to escort me out and take me home, or call someone like my friend to come get me, or my mom to please come get me because I need to go home. Um but Aaron doesn't do that, and you know, Aaron's just like, oh, it's fine. No, it it's it's not it's not fine, okay. So then Aaron still goes back to the house after that happens, and all the other comments that have been made. Okay, that's a choice, that is a choice that was made, and it's not a choice I would make, but it was his choice. So now they're climbing back up the stairs to get into the door. So it's it's a very menacing, I guess, camera angle. You know, Aaron is at the bottom of the steps, Joseph is at the top, and the light is behind Joseph, so all you see is this like dark figure, because it's nighttime at this point, and Aaron's saying, you know, I have all my stuff, I should I should really leave. Bro, you should have already left like a long time ago. And Joseph's like, what do you mean? What do you mean you you're already gonna leave? Like it's it's a long drive back, and you know, I thought we could have a drink or something to commemorate this this day of fun and recording this for my son. Mind you, that's another thing. All of this was still being recorded for his quote-unquote son. Um, I'm pretty sure your son doesn't want to see you asking some random man if he thought that he would kill him. I don't think that's appropriate. Um, I don't think many of the things for this video are appropriate. And if I was Aaron, I'd be wondering, wow, what kind of relationship is he wanting with his son? Because this is really fucked up. So Aaron's continuously saying, you know, I gotta go, I gotta go. He's finally convinced to come inside. Oh my god, literally why? So they get inside, and Joseph pours him a drink, and they're just kind of chatting, blah blah blah, whatever. And all of a sudden, Joseph's asking him, you know, do you have money problems? And Aaron's like, no, I I don't have money problems. And Joseph's like, well, I have a lot of money. Okay, good for you. Like, the fuck. And then he keeps going on about this money. He goes, I want to give it to you, Aaron. Who gives away money like that to a random person? Again, I I don't I don't understand this. And he's saying that Aaron is his good friend, and he's so kind and very sweet and gentle, and he deserves this money. You don't know each other. Uh, you guys met that morning. It hasn't even been like 12 hours, so I don't know how you can judge his character based upon that. I mean, he's being nice to you. Also, he's not your close friend at all. This is some random man from Greg's list who answered your ad. Oh, he's so it's so weird. And so Aaron's just like, oh, okay, ha ha ha. And if again, Aaron tries to leave. So they finish the drinks, and Aaron's like, oh, I gotta go, you know, blah blah blah blah. And he's looking for his car keys, and his car keys are gone. Oh hell no. Uh-oh. I I'm sorry. If this is the point, this is the point where I would secretly try and call the cops. If I was still somehow stuck in this situation, I would call someone. I would call someone because uh now I now I feel like I'm in danger. I would have felt like that way before that. Uh, like when he took the secret pictures, okay. I fear Aaron is too deep into this to really get out of this. And he's like, okay, where's my keys? Where's my keys? And he's looking around, and Joseph just gets up from the table and he goes, I lied to you. No way, dude. You lied. Like what about what? Everything? And Aaron's just like, okay, like what did you lie about? And Joseph's like, well, this isn't for my kid to hear, so I I need to have you turn the camera off. Turn the camera off? That is that would be the only thing that I thought would be keeping me alive is the camera. Because then a murder would be recorded, yes? So Aaron's like, yeah, okay, so he fake turns off the camera, so it's still recording the audio, and Joseph proceeds to tell the most diabolical story I have ever heard in my life. So diabolical, okay? So it's about peach fuzz. Apparently he lied about peach fuzz, okay? So he's like, you know, uh 40 40 years ago, which mind you, this man is like mid-40s. So I don't know what you were doing at like seven years old, but um wow, wow. So he's saying 40 years ago he was having internet issues, and so he went to the um store and was asking about it, and the guy was like, Well, you know, maybe your browser history is full. So he goes home and he gets on his browser history, and he randomly finds pornography, but not just any pornography, animal pornography, literally bestiality. First of all, nasty as hell, okay? That is diabolical. Second of all, who was looking that up? I know I'm not, but who who was I I I when he said that I was speechless. Like, what what do you mean? Um Okay, also, why the fuck would your wife look that up? Like that's I feel like that's such a lie. Like you couldn't have made it a different story. Like I I don't know. And so he was saying that his wife, Angela, keep that name in mind, um, was watching this, and so he approached her and she said no, and they got in this huge fight. So he ended up taking her to the cabin, the one that they're filling all this in, okay. And he said that he had a work call and he had to go into work for the night, and he would be back in the morning. So he goes into town and he says it wasn't actually a work call. He went to go buy this wolf mask, okay? So he's in town, he comes back three hours later, breaks into the house, and then proceeds to assault his wife, and quote unquote, have animal intercourse, basically. Holy fuck. Mind you, he's just assaulting her, okay? And then he's like, Yeah, it looks like she enjoyed it. The fuck? And then he left through the window and returned the next morning, and he asked his wife how her night was, and all she said was fine, and smiled. Um, so I'm gonna call Bull on that. What the fuck kind of story is that? Like, he is he's already shown Aaron and the watchers, like people who watch the movie, that he's something is not right with him, okay. That was wow. And we find out later if that is truth or not. Uh, spoiler alert, that story is not true. So to be able to even come up with that off the top of your head, what what the hell does he have going on in his head that makes him create that story? You know what I'm saying? Like, the it is that there's just it was so much, it was too much. The story was crazy. So after that, Aaron's just like, um, okay. And so then he's going back to looking for his keys, and Joseph's like, did I scare you with that story? Uh, yeah, no shit. You just told me you assaulted your own wife. The fuck kind of question is that? And Aaron is visibly freaking out. And so Joseph's like, you know, it's really late. Your alcohol level, blood alcohol level is above the legal limit. You should just stay here. I have a spare bedroom, blah blah blah. So he's trying to get this guy to stay. Unfortunately, Aaron agrees. Again, no clue why. He agreed. So then he's pouring them another drink. Aaron's pouring him and Joseph another drink, and he sets it down and they drink it in one swig, and they're just kind of talking, blah blah blah. And Joseph's like, okay, I want to reshoot the end of the video. I want to sign off on this video for my kid. Okay, mind you, we don't see anything that would be in like a remember me video. There's nothing he filmed that should be in that video for his kid, so I don't know what he's signing off, but it's not anything appropriate. Oh my god. And the tension in this scene is so crazy. Like, you can tell Aaron knows that he's basically fucked. And then Joseph can tell that Aaron knows that he's fucked. Okay. So Aaron's Aaron's like, sure, you know, let's let's do another take. It's still going. So Joseph is trying to do another take, and he like starts acting all funny and weird. And turns out Aaron put Benadryl in his drink so he could try and get away. Okay? Which I think that is valid. So he can find his keys and get the fuck out of there. So Joseph falls asleep on the fireplace, and Aaron is just. Videoing him, waiting for him to fall asleep, and he like slowly tries to keep going up to him, and then Joseph starts dreaming about Peach Fuzz, the the wolf mask, yeah, and he's imagining I don't know what the hell he's imagining, but it's some kind of sexual dream, and he starts touching himself. And again, if I was Aaron, I I just I don't I don't even know what I would do in that situation, and he's still like half asleep, he's not fully asleep yet. So, anyway, this is this is going on, okay? And he tries to go up to him and get his keys, and then all of a sudden Joseph's phone starts ringing. So Aaron answers it, he goes to the bathroom and answers it. This is when you need to pay attention, okay? I mean, you should have been paying attention the entire time, but so he answers it, and it's Angela, okay? And he's telling her, hey, um, I'm at the family cabin, you know, I this this is Aaron, not Joseph. Um, I can't find my keys. And he's telling her the situation, and she's like, you just need to leave. You just need to leave. And he's like, what about what about my keys? And she's like, just send me the address and I'll arrange for someone to pick you up. She goes, just leave. Just walk out. Don't even try and find them, just leave. She tried to warn him so many times, okay? And he's like, okay, um, and he's like, I I forgot how he brought this up, but he's like, you know, your your husband, Aaron, not your husband, your yeah, your husband, Joseph, not Aaron, your husband, Joseph, you know, he he's been doing this today, blah blah blah. And she's kind of like, what? And Aaron goes, your husband, Joseph, and she kind of sighs, and she's like, Joseph is my brother. Oh, oh my god. Oh, okay, so not only did Joseph make up the story about his wife, but the person that he was talking about was his sister talking about assaulting your sister. Okay, so that entire situation with the wife story did not happen, but why are you thinking about your sister and then you tell the most diabolical story about assaulting your wife? Which, mind you, does not exist. What oh my god, if I was I I literally wrote this. If I was Aaron, I would throw up. I'd throw up. What am I supposed to do with that information? That's horrible. And she's just like, you just need to leave. You know, my brother has issues. You just need to leave. It's and Aaron's like, is it is it not safe here? Bro, you already know the answer. You know it's not safe. You've been trying to get away for the past couple hours. Obviously it's not safe. You felt unsafe, and you and you put Benadryl in his drink so he would fall asleep, so you could leave. Like, I you already know the answer to that. And then her phone cuts out, and then she's not able to say anything else. So Aaron goes back out from the bathroom after he's done with that phone call, and Joseph is gone. He's not on the fireplace anymore. Um, I would shit myself after throwing up after hearing that Angela is his sister. So he's looking around the house and he finally goes to the back door, and the sliding door is open. Bro, just stay inside. Just stay inside. He Aaron doesn't stay inside though. He goes outside and he finds Joseph on the deck, and he's just kind of like, yo, like what are you what are you doing out here? And he's just standing out there and he's like, I'm just so sad. I'm I'm so I'm so sad. And then he just starts saying, you know, death is coming. That reminds me of the TikTok song where it's like death is seeking you at the bingo table or something like that. So he's just outside crying, saying, Death is coming. Aaron has like no response to that. He's like no emotional response to that. And then all of a sudden, Joseph is just like, I love you. Um, okay, pack it up. Pack it up. What do you mean you love him? You don't love no, he he's just throwing stuff around, he's just saying the most random crap, bro. And Aaron's like, okay, I'm you know, why don't we um why don't we go back inside, blah blah blah. And he was talking, and he's so messed up with this, he was like, I was talking to Angela. Why would you say that? So then Joseph freaks out, runs inside, runs down the stairs. Aaron follows him slowly, still following him. I don't know why he's still doing that. And he goes downstairs, and Joseph is just standing there in front of the door where he could like the door to leave, and he's just standing there against the door with this stupid wolf mask on in the dark. Ain't no way. That is so creepy. Also, I would just laugh because this is not this is so not serious. I just again so he's just standing there with a wolf mask, and Aaron's trying to talk to him, like saying, you know, why won't you leave? blah blah blah. And he's asking these questions, and he Joseph isn't giving a verbal response. All he's doing is shaking his head, yes or no, and then he starts um sliding his butt on the door. Um, I don't know what that is about. And then he starts growling as he's rubbing his butt on the door. There's no way, there's no way. And Aaron's just like, alright, fuck it. So he just runs at Joseph, they get in a fight, okay, and then the next thing we see is it opens up to like the next morning, and we're in the woods, the camera's in the woods, and all we see is Joseph dragging two heavy black trash bags up the hill, completely full, and then he just starts digging into the ground. And as we watch it, obviously we know wow, he probably just killed Aaron in that fight and is burying him. But it was not, okay, it was a video he took of himself doing that, and then sent it to Aaron in the mail, and then the camera pans to Aaron's face because it was videoing the video that we see is on Aaron's TV, and he's video this is so confusing, he's videoing it with his video camera, okay. So what we see is the camera pan over from the shot on the TV, and Aaron's just like this was just sent to me, and he's kind of like, you know, I don't understand like how to interpret this, babes. I think you know how to interpret it. I think you're just scared to um acknowledge how to interpret it, okay. And at the end, he's like, I'm guessing that's me in the in the bags, and he's trying to bury me. Yes, ho! That's yes, that's what he's doing. Holy shit. So then he he's like, Okay, you know, I'm just gonna forget this ever happened. Bro, call the police. Okay, they're probably not gonna do shit. But call someone, tell someone, please, for the love of god, tell someone. He hasn't told anyone, and he lives by himself. So then we cut to the middle of the night, and he's talking about all these weird dreams that he keeps having that Aaron keeps having, and he's at the heart rock again, but instead of a rock, it's a hot tub, so it's getting that was that part was like kind of romantical. And they're both in the hot tub, him and Joseph, and they're both wearing the wolf masks, except Aaron's mask is a baby, so he's the baby wolf, and Joseph is the grown-up wolf. And Joseph pours wine over his head, and then he realizes, oh my god, I'm getting a tubby. Like from the beginning? What the fuck kind of dream is that? And then he looks at the water, and the water is blood. Like, um, I think your subconscious is trying to tell you something, bro, and I think you should listen. So, um, if I have that dream, I would not sleep for a week, or I would actually stay somewhere else. Um, because this guy knows your address because he sent you that video of him in the woods. So he knows your address, and uh, I think you should find a new place to stay. Seriously. So the next day, Aaron gets another package from Joseph. It is a huge package, he brings it inside, and there's three things in this package: another CD and a knife. Cool. He puts the CD in, he's watching it, and Joseph in the video tells him there's a third thing inside the wolf, or there's another thing in the box, and it says stuffed wolf, okay? And so Aaron pulls out the stuffed wolf, and in the video, Joseph is saying, wolves, you know, he can he really loves wolves because they love deeply and they don't always know how to express it, and sometimes they quote unquote murder the things they love, but inside that wolf is a huge heart, sometimes misguided, occasionally they murder things. Um so basically, Joseph is saying he's like a wolf, because even though he loves something, he sometimes murders it. Great, and then he tells him to use the knife on the wolf and get the last gift out of the wolf. So he cuts his wolf open, and it's like a huge butcher knife, by the way. He pulls out a fucking heart locket. Okay. Bro, he opens it and it starts playing music, and on the inside is a picture of Joseph and a picture of Aaron. That is so fucking creepy. So then he's like, I'm calling the cops, I'm calling the cops, like fucking finally, and so then he's calling the cops, and the cops are like, you know, we can't do anything until something happens. Which happens to women all the time. Oh my god. Literally, he's reporting that Joseph is stalking him, and there's so many times in real life where women have stalkers and it's not taken seriously, and they always wait until something happens. Like, we can't do anything until something happens. I feel like there should be a law against like is there not a law against stalking? Am I stupid or something? Like, if someone is sending me weird stuff to my house and is bothering me, I feel like there should be something that could be done for that. But apparently not. And women have to deal with that all the time, and so many times, unfortunately, it's always too late. Because then when that thing does happen, they usually end up dead. God, it's so fucking frustrating. So Aaron's pissed off. Validly so. And then it cuts to him, another night video of him. And uh this is where it starts getting a little weird, and he hears a noise as he's talking, and he's like, What the hell is that? So he gets up, turns the lights on, and he's looking around his house with a knife, and he's like, If anyone's here, Joseph, I know it's you, if you're here, you better tell me. And he turns around, he starts going to a different part of the house, and as he walks out of the frame, Joseph is standing in outside the door, and the door's like it's one of those front doors that has like the whole window, like it if you can see everything into the house. I hate doors like that, but it sees like directly into the house. So Joseph is just looking into the house and you can see him on the camera, okay. So I don't know if Aaron just doesn't watch the videos he takes at night. I feel like he should. And then he comes back into the bedroom and he notices something move, which is Joseph outside. So then his dumbass goes outside. What are you doing? Seriously. Why are you going outside, dude? So he goes outside. Mind you, there's only one light on, and it's the porch light. He goes down this front porch steps around the house to the back of the house. It is completely pitch black. He can't see anything, and all he sees is his trash can turned over, and he thinks it's raccoons because Joseph tore up the bags to make it look like raccoons were trying to get into his food. Okay. Again, I don't know why you do that. And he left his front door open. Are you serious right now? Jesus Christ. So then there's another video of him sleeping, and Joseph is inside the house now. And he picks up the camera and is like filming him. Just you know, cat casual, casual. And so he films him, and then he cuts a piece of Aaron's hair off, like a lock of hair. Hello. Like, I don't know if he just wants to keep it or probably he just wants to keep it, but holy shit. So the next morning, Joseph wakes up and he's like, Oh my god, like I was left this CD in the window, and it's titled my last uh video, and it's from Joseph. Why did you not check the video that you took of yourself at night? Because he's videoing himself sleeping. Okay, why wouldn't you check your video camera if that showed up? You know what I'm saying? So he he puts this whatever, he puts this DVD into the DVD player, and uh he's watching it, and it's a video of Joseph at this park, and he's saying, you know, I I'm over the lies, and I'm gonna try and explain the truth to you. And he says, I I don't know what's wrong with me or why I do it, and by it, we all know that it means murder, okay? And he needs someone to talk to. Um maybe a therapist. I feel like a therapist or psychiatrist would be good for you. I think that's who you should talk to. But he's you know, he's just he just wants to be friends, guys. He just wants to be friends with Aaron. And he's gonna be at the park tomorrow at 11 a.m. It's a public park. And if Aaron wants to, you know, try and settle this, he should come there and they can talk it out. Aaron. My brother in Christ. He went. Why the fuck would you go after all this other stuff happening? I I honestly have no words, and at this point, I mean there's so many warning signs, and he just ignored all of them. Again, survival skills of a fucking pickle. And in this scene, he literally has no awareness of what is happening, okay? So he sets up the video camera in his car, and he walks over to this bench that's in the shot of this video camera, okay? So he goes to the park at 11 a.m. He's waiting. And Joseph just appears behind him, and he randomly puts the wolf mask on, which okay, um, that's a choice to do in the park. And then he reveals that he has the axe, okay, that we saw at the beginning. And he pulls out this axe, and Eren just has no clue that he's even behind him. I feel like I would know someone's behind me. Like, you know, when someone's behind you or someone's staring at you, and you can feel it. How did Aaron not feel it? Because before he even put this mask on or got the axe out, he was staring at him for quite a decent amount of time. So I I I feel like he would have felt him staring and he just didn't look around. Like, bro, just look around. He's just looking straight ahead at the water as if Joseph is gonna come up around the side of him and talk to him, which would probably happen if Joseph was normal and not um a killer, okay. So he has the axe and he just kills him right in the park, murders him in broad daylight, and Aaron is dead. And so then it cuts to another TV where the video of Aaron dying is playing on the TV, and the other video camera turns around to point at Joseph. And he's just sitting there and he's like, every time I watch this, it just gets better and better. So sometimes killers will have trophies, um, specifically, like serial killers will have trophies that they keep from their victims so they can go back to it and kind of relive the experience. And when I first watched this, I thought the hair was that, but it's the video, it's not the hair. So I'm confused as to why he took a chunk of his hair, maybe he just wants it, I don't know. But the the trophy, quote unquote, is this video and this documentary that he got from this whole experience. So obviously, you know, this whole experience with putting the thing on Craigslist, it's a whole setup, yes? And so he's watching it, and then it cuts to a video of him talking on the phone, and now his name is Bill. Okay, and someone he put up a new ad, he's in a different house because the other house turned out to be a rental, and he's in a different house, a different location, and this person is responding to his ad. And he's like, Yeah, yeah, yeah, you know, um, this is what it is. If you just come here tomorrow, and we can work out some more of the details, and just talking to this guy on the phone, and the movie ends with him saying, Okay, I'll see you later, bud, or buddy. He which he would he kept calling Aaron that during this entire movie was buddy, and uh so he's just like, Yeah, I'll see you later, buddy. Don't go, don't go, and then he opens his cabinet in the house after he says that, and it is a huge cabinet, just full of DVDs and videotapes, and each one of them has a name on it, and you know who they were. This man is a whole ass serial killer, and just by looking at all the DVDs and CDs, this man has I well over 20 20 victims, and then the video the movie just ends. Um holy shit, because the first time I watched that, I was not expecting that ending, I was not expecting him to be a serial killer. Um, a lot of the signs were there towards the end, um, especially with like taking the lock of hair, um, the way he like stalked him, all those other things. But that is creep, and the story continues to a whole other movie, which that movie is also crazy as hell. I've seen that one, I think, twice. I think we've seen that one twice. So that one is also crazy, and I'm excited to talk about that one. Um, but I hope everyone enjoyed this one. It's very crazy, there's a lot of things in it. But um, again, it's just a very interesting movie, and I, you know, it's not something I watch all the time, but I have watched it a decent amount of times, and I didn't think it would be good, but I I thought it was pretty good. Um, the only part I didn't like was how much Aaron just disregarded his um surroundings and his awareness of the situation. He Just kept digging the hole deeper and deeper and deeper for himself. And you know, I'm not blaming him. I'm saying from if it was me, which again, this is a movie, but if it was me, you know, I would have been gone a long time before that. And I think Aaron should have as well. But I think this also attests to you know how much he needed money, and he was just doing this for the money, and a lot of times we will go to extreme lengths to make money. So I understand like why he kept doing it because he just needed the money, but at the same time, wow, that's crazy. And he was literally like being hunted because the way Joseph crept up behind him in the one of the last scenes when he's at the park, it was like he was stalking him. It was so weird. But yeah, that's creep. I hope, I hope um everyone enjoyed it. It's much different than um Heated Rivalry, obviously. Um, and it's gonna be different than our next show. We're gonna be watching Young Royals, which if you haven't watched that yet, it's gonna be so good. It is such a good show. And Emma and I will be watching it um with the subtitles because the original language in it, I think, oh gosh, I might do this wrong. I think it's Czech. I think that's the original language. Um, but yeah, it is a beautiful show and it has three seasons. Very, very good show. If you haven't watched that and you're looking for more um LGBTQ shows to watch, definitely watch that one, okay. Um, I'm currently watching Yellow Jackets, and I didn't realize there was so much uh lesbianism and gayness that happened in that show, but that one's pretty crazy, and I started watching it because uh Sophie, who plays Rose and Heat of Rivalry, is one of the main characters in that one. And the actress that she is, she is a whole different person. I mean, it's the whole thing of being an actor, yeah, I know. Um, but she is a whole different person in yellow jackets, it's like it she doesn't even look the same, is what I'm trying to say. Like, and she has different hair um in that show as well, so it plays with her features a little bit. At first I I didn't I didn't put too like I didn't recognize her at first because I saw her, I started watching Yellow Jackets before Heat of Rivalry, and I only made it like two episodes in, and then I got really busy, and then the next show I ended up watching was Heated Rivalry, and I saw her in there. I was like, oh, she looks cool. I I didn't even realize that she was the same girl because it she looks so different. Like I my brain can't even register that that they're the same person, but that just speaks to her acting abilities, and she's amazing and beautiful, and I'm excited to keep watching Yellow Jackets. That's another good one if you want to watch that one. Um, I just finished the first season of that, but anyways, um that is all I have for tonight and or today, whenever you're listening to this, and I will see you, quote unquote, next week, and then after that, Emma will be back. All right, bye guys.
